This is actually a very timely ask for what I was thinking about last night. I have a oneshot collection idea (bc I’ve still not posted anything bc I’m a writer who never writes) named after a music album but one of the songs could be interpreted in a very very angsty way. There are a whole lot of other examples bc I prune ideas before I even begin to write, but those would require a reader’s prior understanding of my stories in order to see what had changed. Anyway, thanks for the ask, Marko!

Hey! Happy FFWF! 💖

Oh, I love this question!!

The short answer is yes 😉. For example, I never intended my Pieces of Echoes fic to become a full-fledged series, and now I’m six fics in and plotting more 😆. Mostly because my awesome readers sent me asks about this and that, but also because I adore that universe and don’t want to give it up.

My fic The Phoenix Project was originally intended to have a lot more romantic angst than it ended up having, including Steve deciding to break up with Tony right before the big mission 😬. But I just couldn’t do it. I like to say that my characters sometimes write themselves, and I just couldn’t turn Steve into the jerk that a scene like that would have required, so I went a completely different direction.

And, probably my most 😬, I toyed with the idea of having Stony be endgame in my Sins of the Fathers fic. It was actually that aspect that led me to write Pieces of Echoes. While I like Pepper as a person, I’m not a fan of her and Tony’s relationship and I personally find her difficult to write. Superfamily is my OTP 💖

Thank you so much for the awesome ask! 💖

I feel like this question can be answered a bunch of different ways. The part of writing that’s most fun for me isn’t necessarily my favorite part of writing.

I think the most fun part of writing is brainstorming/outlining. Coming up with ideas and mapping them out really entertains me. It usually males me giggle, and looking over my outlines later almost always puts me in a good mood.

Thanks for the ask!

Happy late FFWF!

I can’t say that I do. I have used them, but I don’t like to. When I use metaphors, they’re not memorable, at least for me. :-)

Thanks for the ask!

Hey! Happy FFWF! 💖

If you’re talking about the specific writing process, I’d have to say editing is my favourite part. Tweaking my words just right so that I can hear them in the character’s voices is something I usually really enjoy.

In general, I’d have to say meeting so many other authors! The Iron Dad fandom is full of some really awesome people, and I’m thrilled to know you guys 💖.

Thank you so much for the ask! 💕

Happy FFWF! I love coming up with plots and seeing the story come together! Y’know that meme of Kronk from Emporer’s New Groove where he’s like ‘oh yeah, it’s all coming together’? That me when I’m writing😂

Happy FFWF!!

Making the outline is the most fun to me. I like to quickly visualize the scenes/actions happening, so it’s kinda like a sped-up mental movie, if that makes sense.

It also doesnt include the frustration of trying to find that right word or the right way to express what the character is feeling etc. that the main body writing includes.

Thanks for the ask!!

Oo thank youu, I do use metaphores!! I’m not sure how many end up making it to the final draft, but certainly in my first write up it’s VERY similie/metaphors heavy 😭😂 I love showing how characters feel and think through different ways, and for me at least I think it makes it clearer.

Hmm, I honestly have too many to pick from in terms of my favourite one, but the first one that comes to mind is when I describe Tony going into the wormhole as “the last spark on a burning piece of paper going out” (or something alone those lines). It’s from Peter’s perspective, so I really like how it highlights how much faith and awe he has for him.

yeah! and i love people who do. i once read a fic where the North star is a metaphor for peters life, but i digress.

Heres my favourite part of a poem I wrote, which turned into an edit.

Soft little flower, your petals drip red. Your thorns grow. Your screams echo in your mind so loudly nobody else can hear.

Hey! Happy FFWF! 💖

I adore metaphors! I’ve used the phoenix metaphor a few times in various stories, most recently a bit more on the nose in my fic The Phoenix Project.

The titles of my big superfamily fics are somewhat metaphorical as well. Pieces of Echoes refers to what Steve was hearing while he was frozen in the ice, as he was asleep, but occasionally has memories of being frozen (yikes!). It also refers to Peter’s journey back to consciousness during his comatose period at the end of the story, when he uses the two distinct heartbeat sounds of his dads to guide him back.

Chasing Demons refers to Steve’s struggle with his severe PTSD, and his obsession with HYDRA and its destruction, while Continuum is my IW/ Endgame AU. Continuum can be a synonym for infinity, which is why I chose that title 🤓

I’m not sure I can pick a favourite! If I absolutely had to, I think it would be the pieces of echoes 😊.

I don’t use that many metaphors in my writing, but I should probably start including them (I’m still a little traumatized from gr 9-11 english teachers :/ )

I guess my favourite metaphor is in my fanfic Hope. Hulk describes Black Widow as a “beautiful woman with snake lips,” in the scene on the helicarrier after the explosion.

Happy FFWF!!

I was part of the Voltron Legendary Defenders fandom a few years ago. I left around season 4 or 5 because I didn’t really like the turn the plot had taken (and bc they came really close to getting my ship together, and then yeeted half of said ship to the other end of the galaxy :/ )

I don’t think I wrote anything for this fandom? I might’ve had plot ideas or one shot ideas (but I cant find them). I know I didn’t publish anything. I did read a TON of fanfiction tho…

Thanks for the ask :)
