spoiler alert: I won't be writing fix it fics. because I don't need to ;)

More seriously this is full of spoilers from live-reacting to the movie, beware.

That opening in Japan was so cool? Like I was into it. Loved the suspicious silver bullet too, just saying...

Animal Shelter owner Scott is confirmed AND single by thirty I wrote the movie before the movie (just kidding, the fic I'm thinking of has a different premise but I'll rec it because self-promo is hot : The Cure with Sterek endgame too!). Also Scott got a buzzcut like his buddy Stiles!

"We call him the Alpha" just no, it doesn't sound as cool as you think it does, it's so corny.

I love how they re-enacted the interactions at the clinic for Scott and Allison, it's sweet. JR Bourne my love, I could feel your distress, but I have to say the bardo concept thing sounds weird (like, phonetically).

Lydia's reintroduction scene was glorious and how beautiful can this woman be??? She ages like fine wine.

Baby Hale in da place, such a fun scene! I mean what did Derek expect, keeping the Jeep at Hale Auto... Daddy Hale is a good look on him and suggesting they call Stiles... they're married, called it.

No seriously they keep mentioning Stiles and somehow don't even show flashback of him? Would love to be the tiny mouse in the copyright talk for this movie haha.

Malia and Parrish are a thing??? Where did that come from? I like that they lean into her non-commital communication styles and I did connect with their relationship (or lack thereof) immediately, especially when it becomes awkward with Scott later on (#thecure by the way).

I did suspect Chris has something to do with the release of the Nogitsune, that was badass.

Eli is such a Stiles rip off it's almost annoying, I like his back story with Derek's beta-shift more.

Allison is hot too wow, damn ladies. Melissa ROCKS obviously and Finstock still got it.

The partial memory recovery twist for Allison to turn her evil is the oldest trick in the book but I like the way they pulled it off. She's off hunting Derek and they're hopeless, some things never change.

Jackson is a delight and he's still with Ethan 15 years later, LGBTQ+ for the win. I am here for it.

Eli and Derek parallels with Sterek again, here goes the whump for Derek...

Sheriff Stilinski has the one and only braincell in this movie.

Peter is here baby, and I loved his entrance. I say: Melissa, Peter and Chris OT3.

"Go get her" no Melissa, no. Not the right line, not the right time.

I kind of feel bad for Scott's girlfriends (Kira, Malia) who came after Allison like what about his feelings for them??? I understand Allison was his first love and holds a special place in his heart but the others feel really swept under the rug.

Alpha roar check. It felt like a to do list at first but considering Eli's back story I kind of like it as a trigger for his own beta-shift.

For a moment I wondered between Kate and Harris summoning the Nogitsune but I'm kinda glad it wasn't Kate. Idk it feels more insidious with Harris.

Also I do like how the other Kitsunes are all brand new and not rip offs, it's more interesting, and I was interested in Liam for once haha, cuties the two of them.

Derek has better things to do than saving the world, he's too busy parenting... oh well, that was wistful thinking.

Finstock is so proud to say Greenberg and honestly so am I. I wish it was only Eli on the field though, Scott playing makes no sense and doesn't serve any purpose.

Did I just see Tyler Posey's ass when he scrambles up in the Nogitsune's illusion world??? I wonder if it was on purpose... also they messed up with his shirt it went from bloody to clean just to make the next blood loss more obvious...

I did like his attemps to reason with Allison and her big ass smile when he tells her he's still in love with her, but isn't it "burning the exact/same blend of wolfsbane powder into the wound to heal it" rather than just "burning it out"???

Peter going down on the ground to sniff blood that is right in front of him... you were a better werewolf than that before Peter... but banging Allison's head on the railing then Chris switching side makes up for it.

The aesthetics for the illusion in the colored rooms was GREAT and Lydia kinda broke my heart, but I'm glad we had this scene (also Jackson. you have a tail. with venom. use it???).

I will not adress Derek's untimely demise because why would he abandon his son, like Peter could have taken his place to hold the Nogitsune down? (also that twist with the werewolf bite was nice, I liked it, it made sense). plus Allison came back from the dead so he will too. In my fics. It's not a fix it it's canon compliant ;).

Why the fuck are they kissing when Derek just disappeared into thin air seriously. Poor Eli, really get someone else to take custody of you than Scott.

I feel for the Sheriff, seeing Eli like that must remind him of Stiles when they lost Claudia...

The little nudge at the end with Eichen House and there always be new teenage werewolves was so on the nose I loved it.

conclusion: I found it extremely fun, well paced with good aesthetics.

Made me want to watch the series (which I've been pushing off for fear of being disapppointed) actually.

So yeah unpopular opinion, but I had such a great time watching Teen Wolf The Movie I wish it was in theaters because it would have been great on the big screen!

I was tagged by @blodreina-noumou to make a list of my top ten favourite characters from The 100, and now that I’ve given it a lot of thought, let’s get on with making this thing!

TOP TEN THE 100 CHARACTERS

One - Emori kom Spacekru

Was there every any doubt who would take top spot? Emori had the most epic of arcs. She went from having nothing to her name to getting more than she ever dreamed was possible. She found things to be passionate about (piloting ships, protecting Sanctum), she found a family that loves and respects her, she fell in love and got married, and ended up living in a castle! She did all of this with such subtle grace, getting more powerful and influential as the series went on, until she became practically royalty. She’s the ultimate!

Two - John Murphy

The man, the myth, the legend...John Murphy. His transformation from being a self serving villain to the romantic hero we know him as today is one of the greatest joys about watching this series. What I love most about him is how every time we thought we had him figured out as a character, he would flip the script and surprise us in ways we weren’t expecting. He not only surprised us, he surprised everyone around him with his beautiful moments of heroism, becoming a beacon of hope that everyone could believe in.

Three - Octavia Blake

Was there ever a more polarizing character than Octavia Blake? Whenever you bring up her name, you either get met with comments of adoration and respect or condemnation and disgust, but THAT’S what makes her such a strong, compelling character to watch. Characters are meant to coax out a reaction from people and that’s precisely what Octavia did. As for me, I went on a roller coaster with Octavia, but it was one hell of an entertaining ride!

Four - Raven Reyes

The woman who troubleshooted the universe, passed the test, and saved humanity...and that’s just an average Wednesday night in the life of Raven Reyes. What makes Raven such a standout is how she never let anything prevent her from spreading her wings and flying, living out her dreams of spacewalking and flying rockets. She’s immensely tough, doesn’t put up with anyone’s bullshit, and manages to beat the odds every time.

Five - Echo kom Spacekru

If you were to look up the word : endurance, in the dictionary, you would find a picture of Echo waiting for you there on the page. She endured the traumatic loss of her parents, the loss of her identity at the hands of Nia, a life as an Azgedan spy where her decisions weren’t her own...and that’s just in her back story! Watching her reclaim herself piece by piece and finding her place in a family that respects her autonomy showed us there was more to her than we first thought. She’s a rewarding character to watch!

Six - Monty Green

The man with the long term plans and one of the biggest unsung heroes from The 100...Monty Green. He often was the person who told people what they needed to hear, and despite being someone who wanted to solve problems in a peaceful manner, he didn’t let anyone push him around. He’s the physical embodiment of the phrase : “do no harm, take no shit”.

Seven - Indra kom Trikru

The power, the gravitas, the screen presence...Indra has it all in spades. She’s a pillar of strength who provides weight to every scene she’s in, turning it into something memorable by elevating the material. Whenever Indra appears on screen, I instantly snap to attention, dropping everything I do as a show of respect.

Eight - Harper McIntyre

Brave and tough, compassionate and warm...you can’t ask for a better person to be at your side. If there was any character in the series who could have become a counselor, it’s Harper, because she’s so open with her heart.

Nine - ALIE/Becca(because they’re so closely linked, I’m putting them together)

My favourite villain out of the entire series. So much world building and lore for the series was created around ALIE/Becca, providing this series with a lot of its iconic imagery(the city of light, the flame, the infinity symbol). The amount of change the series underwent after their introductions(Becca and ALIE), good or bad, is immeasurable.

Ten - Sheidheda

Since I’m running out of character slots for this, I’m putting Sheidheda in out a deep appreciation for hammy villains. He’s so ridiculously over the top, theatrical, and you can tell that JR Bourne had a ball playing him!

Okay I’m finally watching 714:

- Clarke crying looks fake and forced do you think Eliza did shitty acting to spite the shitty plot lmao

-Octavia would’ve punched Clarke in the throat but okay. I love that Clarke kind of flinched when Octavia stepped closer to her.

-why does Echo say “we lost him a long time ago” when it was like 3 days ago?

-oh but that Bellamy’s favorite girls hug just made me cry

-I can’t believe everyones just like “yeah alright”

-I looked down to eat my food and missed Bob’s name being ripped off the credits lmao

-uhh Clarke destroying the helmet is out of character.

-IM ANNOYED. CLARKE HAS BEEN DEVOLVING FOR A WHOLE SEASON AND THERES ONLY 2 EPISODES AFTER THIS TO FINISH THE STORY IN A GOOD/RESOLVING LIGHT

-why the FUCK is sheidheda on my screen right now.

-cadogan can just go

-there’s literally 2 episodes left and we’re...we’re like still at the beginning of the story line lmao

-cardigan and shady had steamy gay sex before this scene I don’t care for your opinions.

-aww fuck I forgot I was doing this lmao I’m on the scene with madi and clarke

-love madi scolding clarke but also their relationship isn’t been highlighted in like 2 seasons sooo I didn’t feel much

-I love that now Bellamy’s dead they’re saying his name every 3 seconds but for the entire first half of the season they forgot he exists

-a Lincoln mention?? I live for a Lincoln mention

-I just drank some NyQuil so idk about watching 715 tonight

-ugh I love Indra and Octavia. Always have loved their relationship. Their connection is amazing.

-I live for Octavia facing her demons but I thought facing demons was last season.

-you’re my seda 🥺😍😍😍 love me some Gaia and Indra scenes

-not a speck of dust in this bunker they left for 300 years or whatever

-have Gabriel and madi ever even interacted

-okay the Jordan and hope scene was cute I guess. Kinda forced but okay.

-how can they not tell sheidheda is 4 inches away from their faces

-omg I forgot to even talk about the Miller and Jackson scene lmaooo FINALLLYYYYYY some mackson lovinnnn I’ve been waiting all season for my fave gays to see each other again. And talking about daddy Miller, brooo stoppp my fucking heart

-I can’t believe she told Niylah about her real name lol

-honestly I love Niylah but I’m wondering what they’re trying to make me feel for her?

-aww I really do love Murphy and who he has become ❤️

-I don’t know what the writers thought I would feel hit they couldn’t have thought I would feel good watching this season lol

-my best friend hasn’t watched this season at all yet and I just keep telling her she’s gonna hate it

-uhh literally what is this Hope and Jordan scene lmao

-Gabriel playing the piano is just what I needed—oh wow he got stabbed in the same second I was writing this point.

-Again—I don’t really know what the writers were trying to convey to me in that scene.

-JR Bourne is an AMAZING actor. He played Russel soooooo well, but idk about him playing sheidheda.

-cadogan: takes a pill to dip out.

Sheidheda: can I have one of those pills?

Cadogan: ahh actually you’re gonna have to Stab yourself :/

-Gabriel dying is like...so poetic. The whole team having a pow wow while he’s dying? Not so cute.

-can’t believe the character that gave me life died alone without his own greeting and Gabriel got it lol I love me some Gabriel tho. Just another moc down.

-it’s been such a short amount of time that Raven is still chillin with the same black eye she got in episode 703

My thoughts on The 100 7x05

Hey, guys,

Sorry for not doing any comments on the last two episodes. I’ve been a little busy and I struggled to connect to the show, so it hindered my enjoyment, but it’s all better now. Liked episode 4 and 5 was even better, jampacked with info and it answered a lot of questions.

Welcome to Bardo

Badass Octavia is da bomb (people don’t say that anymore, right?). When she was captured in episode two, I thought she had lost her fighting spirit, but it’s back, bitches. Well, until she runs into an invisible wall trying to escape. She’s captured and transported to M-cap (whatever that means). Then we get a welcome little flashback to Lincoln but it’s obvious that Bellamy would be the hand reaching out. He’s her rock, like she’s expressed many times.

Unlike John Murphy who is not quite a friend, or family and definitely not a lover. Introducing so many new characters in the final season of a show is never a good idea, because this is the time to wrap up all the stories of the existing ones, but come on, who cannot love Levitt. Even when he first meets Octavia, he doesn’t want to hurt her. Jason, you better not harm one hair on this precious little puppy’s head!

As he binges The 100 through Octavia’s eyes, he starts rooting for her, and he actually gives a damn, unlike most people on this show. He understands her strengths and weaknesses and he makes her see it too. “You’re a warrior to be sure, but your heart is pure.” Wow, what an honest and beautiful line. (Scroll down for my shipping comments.)

So is O and Hope’s fleeting little reunion. It’s amazing to experience this deep loving side of Octavia after her darkness. She’s truly one of the most diverse and developed characters on the series. Now Hope and her resilience is quickly making it to the top as well.

While Hope is trying to send her back home, we learn that memory loss is due to the time dilation. One quick note on this, it’s not linear, there’s no easy equation to calculate it unless you’re Stephen Hawking or Einstein. I don’t think it’s constant either. 10 years on Skyring = 11 days on Bardo = a few minutes on Sanctum. In the current time, 5 years on Skyring = 1 day on Sanctum = 7 days on Bardo. So, it’s clear that the planets are moving, and other factors are playing into the phenomenon. It’s more important to understand the time relative to each planet.

Levitt was the one who tattooed Hope’s code onto O’s back, also the one who planted the note into Hope’s arm. Indeed the kind of man you want on the inside, he even accepts a blow to the face as thank you.

Sheep-ish?

Thirty minutes on the clock and the trio gets led to a congregation to praise the shepherd. I never thought it was Anders, I do, however think it might be Cadogan. The Bordoan’s built the underground forest because they destroyed their planet. Ugh, what’s new? The shepherd herded his sheep from earth to Bardo via the stone. Cadogan and his second dawn cult?

Back to Clarke. So, after last episode I thought ‘the key to winning the last war’ line was an artifice for luring Clarke to disciples, but now it’s clearly true. They’ve located the key and they will win the last war. Levitt was interested in Clarke surviving the City of Light with the flame in her head, they probably assume she still has it. Cadogan burned Becca alive. Could it be because of the flame? Is this all because of that damn little chip that can’t seem to die?

Bellamy is not dead, I repeat, Bellamy is not dead! I believe that memory could be staged or implanted for a reason. Also, there’s no body, he jumped through the bridge. In the promo photos, he wears a ring but his actions towards Octavia seem a little cold and generic. On first watch, I thought it was bad acting but if he was programmed to do this, it makes sense.

Note the sequence of events. Octavia returned 7 days ago and was asked to talk her brother down, but we don’t see the actual scene. Instead we’re shown a memory. They could have implanted it to make her vulnerable and perhaps more susceptible to the procedure. I don’t know, but this theory could lead to Robot-sheep!Bellamy on Nakara, where he’ll encounter Clarke and the gang.

I have to be honest, I really don’t like this character arc for Bellamy. It’s unoriginal and a mime of Peeta’s storyline in Mockingjay. Sorry, but so far it feels like the writers were so over the show, they just wanted to get it done. And that attitude really bleeds into one’s creative concepts. I could be completely wrong, in fact, I hope I am.

Echo spins a Finn

My word, I lost the love of my life once, but I sure didn’t kill anyone. When Echo received that vision of Roan, I was hoping for some progression on her individual arc, they’ve made me care about her, and now we get the opposite. Why? One thing I have to admit, a killer performance from Tasya Teles! No pun intended.

Look, this show hasn’t explored Bellamy and Echo’s relationship enough to make her murder believable. It was the exact same thing with Finn. I wasn’t invested in Finn and Clarke’s connection, so his actions of killing a grounder tribe was more repulsive than understandable. Sure, Echo loves Bellamy and her sole purpose is to save him, but I’ve never truly witnessed their love for each other. They had one or two intimate scenes which cannot compel a deed like this. And in the process, she screwed Hope and Diyoza.

Anyway, I don’t think there’s any coming back from it. She murdered an innocent person in cold blood. That’s sure to open a door to the dark side. Just look at Octavia after killing Pike and her actions were justified by jus drein jus daun.

Say Sanctum three times slowly and it sounds like… Sanctum

Blind faith

Look, I’m just gonna come out and say this song is getting old. Every episode featuring Sanctum is the exact same thing with different lines. Can we please move on from it, already? Yes, we know the COG want Russel dead, and the adjusters will go to extreme lengths to free Russel and the prisoners are background noise.

I did appreciate Nelson stepping in to try and save the girl, though. Still doesn’t save the fact that it’s repetitive. The Sanctum plotline is really struggling to take shape and I hope it happens soon. Dramatic eyeroll.

At least in the drought of a desert, you can always count on Murphy. “…I say we live and let die.” Typical cockroach line, right, but it’s ironic when he’s the one to step up, even if it is for Emori. Under the magnifying glass it’s the exact same plot as episode 1 and 3. He hesitates to take action, and eventually becomes the hero.

I mean, he saved that poor kid from being burned alive. Can you imagine sacrificing your own child in such a horrific away? Cults are beyond whacked, and, unfortunately, it’s reality that cult members are so blinded by their faith that they do not see rhyme or reason.

How did Murphy fail that test? I didn’t. When Trey named the four pillars, I thought, isn’t rejoice one of them? Surely, a cockroach would have smelled that trap a mile away.

Indra the great

Can we just give a massive round of applause to Adina Porter!!! That powerhouse walk vibrates strength and majesty, damn, she should be a false god, I wouldn’t dare threaten her with or without an army.

Three little words was all it took for her to recognize evil. “There’s a spider on your shoulder.” Smooth. Too bad she can’t kill him. Why not, how many of the faithful are left to cause an uproar? Wonkru doesn’t know it’s Sheidheda, they won’t care, the COG will fall in line and the prisoners will be happy as long as they get their compound. Sorry, I don’t get it and I don’t understand why she doesn’t tell anyone. Someone please explain?

Granted, JR Bourne as Russel is way better, but I still don’t understand his actions. I hope they explore and explain him more, because he still feels flat unless he knows something of this final war. I’m hoping these two storylines align soon since it’s really driving a wedge between me and my love for the show.

Shipwreck

I’ll start with the easy stuff, Murphy, Emori and the perfect dress gets a heart eye emoji from me. They are so damn cute this season, can they please live happily ever after in the palace?

Octabriel vs Levittavia

Now, I enjoy Levitt fangirling over Octavia. I feel like he has a deep sense of her through her memories. If I have to root for an underdeveloped relationship, it will have to be one where the characters share thoughts and experiences even if it is through a sick, sci-fi procedure.

On the other hand, Gabriel and Octavia have immense chemistry, two seconds of them together bends my mouth into an “Aah, cute” pout. This will also add some approval and representation for mixed racial relationships.

I really don’t mind either way as long as they make me care through showing and not telling.

Bellarke

So, if my theory is correct, and Bellamy does end up on Nakara, Bellarke will encounter each other quite soon. Bellamy won’t be himself though, but he might pretend to be Bellamy to win Clarke’s co-operation. Is there hope for Bellarke yet?

Echo is now trotting a dangerous path and Bellamy might be pledged to a cause, so I doubt there will be a happy ending for Becho. Since 7x01 I’ve been thinking that the writers might want to develop something between Clarke and Gaia but if they are separated, is there enough time? Guess we’ll see.

This monster of a review is finally done… If you read through everything, you deserve a gold star! Let me know what you think, till we meet again…

My Review

WreslteMania XXVI is a difficult show to sum up. It’s a pretty good WrestleMania, but also one that happens to be all over the place in tone and focus. Perhaps its reflective of how indeterminate the future of the WWE felt at the start of the 2010s. The roster was such a mishmash of eras that you’d be forgiven of not having a clue where the hell the company was going. John Cena, Batista, and Randy Orton were at the top of the card after their rise to superstardom in the 2000s, but the spotlight was still shared guys who rose to stardom in the ‘90s like Triple H and The Undertaker. Then there was a new generation of talent—The Miz, Sheamus, Drew McIntyre, etc. — bubbling in the undercard who seemed poised to rocket into the top at any moment. But wait! Time was also given to . . . the 13-year-old feud between Bret Hart and Vince McMahon?!? Suffice to say, with the show splintering off in so many different directions, it’s not surprising it has some misfires.

Let’s start with the good stuff, though. The main event between Undertaker and Shawn Michaels is fantastic and I’m gonna throw it out there that I like it more than their match from the previous year. The stakes feel higher, the suspense level feels higher, and there’s more of a story here than just Shawn needing to beat Taker. He puts his entire career is on the line here, for heaven’s sake! And speaking of his career, like many at the time, I didn’t have a clue this would be Shawn’s last match. Most on-screen wrestling retirements are never legit, so there was plenty of basis to believe this one would be no different. But alas, this one was different, and we get about as good a sendoff as we could’ve gotten for someone who’s been dubbed Mr. WrestleMania.

On another show, the WWE title match between John Cena and Batista would’ve been the main event. Their match here is great fun. It’s actually an end of an era for the two men who were crowned as the leaders of the next generation at WrestleMania five years earlier. Batista would move on to Hollywood shortly after this and, while certainly not his last WWE run, it would mark the end of his career as a full-timer. Interestingly enough, Batista was really coming into his own as a heel at the time of his departure, even winning over fans who previously couldn’t stand him. He would resurrect his heel run in 2014 and 2019, again only for a short spell. A shame we haven’t been able to spend much time with arrogant heel ‘Tista and his impeccable designer fashion, but then I guess that’s what makes it so special.

As for what doesn’t work, I probably don’t need to go into much detail about the Bret/McMahon clash. The basics of the story are solid — Bret gets his long-awaited revenge on McMahon, with his family right by his side. It’s just not super fun to watch in execution, however well-meaning it may be. They match is dragged out much longer than it should and it takes the crowd completely out of it. Another misfire is the Money in the Bank match. This would be the final iteration of the match at WrestleMania before it becomes its own pay-per-view. It’s clear the concept needs some rejuvenation by this point as it’s now a lazy, bloated affair where everyone gets in their allotted number of spots and there are way too many participants. To cap it all off, the ill-advised decision is made to push Jack Swagger into the main event scene, an idea which would run out of gas in a matter of months.

The show seems to have some weird pacing issues as well. In the era of the Network, I’ve grown so accustom to Manias being stretched to the point of exhaustion, so it’s always little odd to go back and watch one that feels like it doesn’t have enough time. It’s almost like it’s struggling to figure out how spread out time across a card so stacked. The tag opener and Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk feel like abridged versions of the matches we would’ve otherwise gotten, while Bret vs. McMahon gets more time than either combined. Even Money in the Bank feels somewhat rushed. I’m definitely not a huge fan of WrestleMania becoming a seven-hour event, and WWE has proven they struggle with time management on longer Manias, but this is one show where it seems an extra hour absolutely would’ve been to its benefit.

At its best, WrestleMania XXVI is a nice sampler plate of eras, even if struggles to give you equal portions for all of them. The multi-generational makeup of the card ensures there’s a little something for everyone and even closes the books on a couple of legendary careers. You’re bound to dislike some it but for better or worse, and this is a cheeseball thing to say, it definitely puts the “showcase” in the Showcase of the Immortals.

My Random Notes

No joke, I really did not think this would be it for HBK and even seriously thought Taker’s streak was in jeopardy. Am I a fool for thinking that? Maybe, but I like that wrestling conned into believing it in a way it hardly ever does anymore.

I feel like the temple entrance set is something that should’ve been more impressive than it is in actuality. They just stacked LED screens on top of each other and just rolled with it. It looks like something from Minecraft.

Ah, this show reinvigorates my fond feelings for Matt Striker. Such a handsome chap! Not surprising at all he would appear on a Bachelor ripoff a whole decade later.

I chuckled at Bruce Hart being the special guest referee for Bret vs. McMahon. You just know he huffed and puffed his way into that one, much to Bret’s annoyance.

I also chuckled at Diana Hart-Smith walking down to the ring with her best “evil, vindictive femme fatale on the cover of a pulp novel” look. God bless her. She needs to write another book.

I know Rey singing Happy Birthday to his daughter is meant to be a heart-warming thing but if I were a kid in the same situation, I would be traumatized. Just think of how uncomfortable it is when a room full of people is signing at you and then think of enduring that in an arena filled with thousands of people. CM Punk did her a huge favor by crashing the moment, as far as I’m concerned.

Not saying anything new here, but the whole Spear thing with Edge is cringe as hell and it’s for the best that it’s been forgotten in the annals of his career.

I know some people like to mock Vickie Guerrero doing Eddie’s frog splash, but I personally thought it was a sweet moment while staying true to comedically heel Vickie.

The official theme song to this Mania is “I Made It” by Kevin Rudolf. A time-period appropriate choice, I must say. I feel like the dawn of the 2010s is the only time a Kevin Rudolf could be a success.

I identify myself as someone who will always be more embarrassed by John Cena haters than Cena himself and I gotta say him posing next to the guys in the front row hating his guts is fucking hilarious. Cena is funny sometimes when he just straight-up trolls.

On the Legacy fallout: The storytelling for this was weird as hell. Am I the only who remembers that one time on Raw where they teased Ted turning face and the crowd was actually kinda into it? Then they completely abandoned it for whatever reason and just had Randy be the breakout face (as if he needed it) and dunk on both Cody and Ted at WrestleMania. I feel like Cody’s AEW origin story more or less began here.

Awwwwe, this show has little baby Drew McIntyre. It’s so interesting watching this with the benefit of hindsight. I remember a lot of people Not Feeling It when he was anointed as the Chose One, and truthfully I wasn’t feeling it at the time either, but watching it back really makes you appreciate how much hard work he put in to get to where he’d be a decade later. A lot of folks were dreading the inevitable Drew world title run in 2010. The title run did happen, but it was much later and much more welcome than anyone back than anyone could’ve imagined.

Finally! THERE you are, bb!

Sorry… Wasn’t able to wrap my mind around anything else throughout the last hours than the fact, that Bellamy Blake is back on our screens - just for a few minutes, but back indeed! (BAMF! YOU GO BB!) And I am SO HAPPY ABOUT IT *blinks back tears*! So happy, it even overpowers what happened to him in the end of the episode, bc i KNOW he must have survived that detonation somehow - somewhere…

BUt aww… Did you notice? The lighting was SO GOOD that you could almost count every single freckle on his beautiful face! And the cardigan survived his journey through the anomaly AND his fight against his captors, mark me down as impressed. ;P I’m crying… He’s just so… WHOLESOME… i love him..

What else? In fact… my mind is kind of blank right now. I’m just happy. Haha, the power that character has over me and my well-being… wow…

No, of course i remember the rest of the episode very well - and the BATSHIT CRAZINESS of it all! All the time-jumps and the planet-hopping! I’m… uuuh… wait WHAT?! Don’t get me wrong, it’s hella more interesting than most of what happens in Sanctum rn (although i have to say i really LOVED watching dad!Murphy and smartass!Indra very much - and hands down: JR Bourne’s acting as sheidheda is groundbreakingly creepy, i enjoyed this; but i fear for Indra and the other’s, even if it LOOKS like sheidheda is gone forever now… i don’t trust shit here… mh…)

Octavia and Hope! My hearrrrt! That reunion was so beautiful!

And Octavia’s scream at the end, when she thinks her brother might be dead and gone, broke my heart… it really did - although you couldn’t actually HEAR it. (It was a bit like that “Frodo-scream” in LOTR, when Gandalf fell with the Balrog… I had goosebumps… >.

Levitt owns my ass already. Risks his own life by helping our “heroes”. He even SMILED when Octavia knocked him down “for his own good” - i could say he helped her and Hope bc he knows O now and that he just wanted to do “the right thing”, but i tend to say BC HE’S FALLEN HEAVILY for her. ;)))

Gabriel completely puzzled and almost speechless like all of the time: What a mood. Gabriel is me.

And Anders… Anders came into view and i went: Oh. THAT dude. THe dubious dude from Desperate Housewives. And sorry… now i can’t get these pictures out of my head anymore. THis man cannot frighten me, not in the slightest. He’s just… the dubious neighbour with one or maybe two corpses in his basement… ;)

And then… E/ho. It’s just like i said and thought. I almost feel nothing about her anymore. It’s as if i gotten numb towards her and her kind of forseeable behaviour. It was the same thing with Finn, as far as I can recall my own feelings back in the time of S2. I wasn’t even shook anymore by what he did to those grounders - i didn’t really care about him at that point anymore. (What SHOOK me indeed was his death - by Clarke’s hands, but that’s another story…) E/ho’s OVERreaction on the thought of Bellamy’s death resembles that. It’s just… well… I kinda like the fact, that she’s probably too far gone by now for any sort of redemption. Like Finn. I agree with you all. It’s a circle that is closing here. A repetition. And i don’t think Bellamy would stan……….. (I just hope he doesn’t have to do what Clarke had to do with Finn in the end…… ugh.. The fallout this would trigger for him… like it did with Clarke.. just no.. not again…>.

Okay so…The sanctumites are going on my nerves. And I miss Clarke… But everything else was absolutely great to watch. Can’t wait for next week! Hope to see more of Mr I’m-constantly-wearing-my-wedding-ring-and-if-it’s-the-last-thing-i’ll-ever-do Morley - ‘though i think we’ll get back to the Clarke-storyline first. *sigh* Why can’t i have BOTH?!?

Ok FINALLY got to watch 7x06! Thoughts:

- diyoza is a QUEEN. That scene was gross but man did I love it. The music. The way it was set up. *chefs kiss*

-I care 0% about this sheidheda storyline. Which sucks because I love JR Bourne, Indra, and memori.

-this planet hopping thing could be SO COOL if everyone wasn’t separated. tbh the fact that bellamy isn’t with them really kills the vibe

-Nikki is an icon. Delivering that terrible line with absolute confidence while thinking she’s a badass LMAO

- DIYOZA AND HOPE REUNION OH GOD MY HEART

-literally why is e.hoke pissy but octavia isn’t? Please bitch

-ngl this bring in the digestive system of a living organism business is creepin me out. But in a good way? I’m excited to see where this goes.

-why are grounde politics still a thing? Literally this should’ve been over after season 4!!!!!!!!! Do not make Madi fucking do this 🙄

-ok that raven/clarke scene didn’t bother me as much as some people were saying. Raven did say she was sorry at the end. Would I rather she had acknowledged that it’s hard leading? Yes. But seeing what we were given in the past, it exceeded my standards. I don’t love if they just kinda let everything raven did and said to clarke the past few seasons slide. I definitely want a little more apologizing if I’m going to jump back on team princess mech.

-my one annoyance with this season is that they’re spreading themselves SO thin. There’s too much going on that it feels like our lead isn’t even in it. Whether you like it or not, Clarke IS the lead. She should be getting the most screentime and it really feels like she’s been pushed to the back in all of the 4 eps she was in. Like literally she’s just there and doesn’t have her own significant storyline. dk if it’s because they’re paving the way for her to have a big part in the second half or not. But I definitely hope her screentime changes.

-promo for next ep: I’m intrigued but it literally showed nothing I care about. Probably another episode without Bellamy and clarke. With too much e.cho. And too much sanctum.

It’s Thursday, and time for more thoughts no one asked for but I’m sharing anyway, but I don’t have to be happy about it. I said I’d finish so I will...but I’m still pretty upset about last week and the spoilers I’ve heard about this week. So I guess these are ~bitter~ thoughts.

Call-Me-Bill really is on my last goddamn nerve at this point

Oh look, it’s Gaia. Exactly no one in my house cares. Okay, but it is sweet how happy Madi is to see her.

Aw, Indra and Gaia holding hands actually does please me in my little Mom heart. I’m such a sucker for mother/daughter dynamics.

“Hey baby,” omg Mackson you are SO CUTE

All of this hugging is too sweet

I think it was pretty heavily foreshadowed that Octavia would understand that Clarke killed Bellamy because of Madi, due to her relationship with Hope. Still, this scene broke my heart. Eliza knocked it out of the park.

HOWEVER, Echo’s little monologue about how Bellamy felt would have been better served if it came from, say, a dying Bellamy?

I always sort of love it when Clarke loses her shit.

Mackson being all holed up in bed and talking about their feelings is what I need in these dark times. And a Daddy Miller mention!

Gabriel’s delight at the piano! Niylah’s stash of Monty’s moonshine! Hope and Jordan’s cute lil moments! (When I think that they are basically teenagers it makes me sad.)

Madi is not having it with Clarke’s bullshit. She’s speaking up for Bellamy when everyone else was like, “All good, Clarke.” And she’s had to leave her friends behind! “You’ve ruined my life, just like you ruined your own.” is ooooooof.

Murvenmori moments are my favorite. And the growth! The GROWTH from Murphy, wanting to save everyone on Sanctum.

Thank you JESUS for this Indra/Octavia interaction. It has been two goddamn seasons. And yes. Indra, Abby, and Kane were all complicit in the atrocities of the bunker. So was Miller--but he seems to have accepted that at the beginning of last season. Did Abby ever?

Oh for fuck’s sake with this invisibility suit.

I ship Hope and Jordan hard and I hope these two little orphans make it work. Sweet babies.

Gabriel is the delight of my life at all times. I just adore him and I will follow Chuku Modu’s career avidly.

Drunk Niylah + cranky Echo = gold. I like this establishment of what fans thought--Echo/Ash never told Bellamy her real name. How sad. Their relationship was a tragedy. He was mourning Clarke when they got together, he was in love with Clarke when they returned to the ground, he spent all of their time on Sanctum trying to save Clarke, and then he died. Twice. All of that and she kept fighting for him, when he didn’t even really know her.

I knew what was coming and still screamed when Russ!Heda stabbed Gabriel. ALSO, Gabriel is a fucking KING and saved Madi’s life!

Mother/daughter fight scene! CAN THIS FUCKER DIE ALREADY?

I was so numb (and angry) last week over Bellamy, but I 100% cried over Gabriel. Partially on behalf of Hope, but also because he was a fabulous character.

Madi is so brave, and so dumb. She’s 100% Clarke’s daughter, sacrificing herself to save the others.

NO no no no no Emori no

Well THAT was a worrisome ending.

Bellamy Blake is still dead and I’ll die mad about it.

In short: Indra makes amends, Echo has a name change, Gabriel gets the kind of death Bellamy deserved, Madi, Hope, and Jordan do teenage things, Mackson finally gets a little attention, and JR Bourne chews scenery.

I’m surprised to say that I was more satisfied with the ending that we were given than I expected to be after everything. The cameos were cool. When Octavia walked out onto the field and gave her speech it gave me s1 Bellamy and Clarke vibes, which hit my heart like a boxer on a speed bag. I love that the delinquents and co ended up together in the end, sharing their own private corner of the universe with each other. Up until holo!Lexa revealed that it was a choice to stay or return, I really thought that it wasn’t going to show anyone else again, and that Clarke was going to be left on a whole planet by herself. So I’ll take the ending we got. I even teared up a little when it showed everyone building their new lives together, laughing and smiling. Like, what. Since when?

But, boy am I glad I had low expectations..... It still felt tainted because Bellamy should have been there with them in the end and his death was bullshit. Full stop. That single moment tarnished so much of this season for me and it's not even because he died. It's because his death was POINTLESS. Also, Nothing about Sheidheda was entertaining in this episode. I love JR Bourne, but his whole presence was annoying and out of place because Indra should have run him through with her sword episodes ago, and there's no logical reason for why she didn't.

And I just don't understand how they're not asking more questions about the being that seemingly absorbed most of the human race, after what they went through with Alie and the City of Light. Techincally they weren't even the ones who started the test, Cadogan (good riddance to you and your stupid fucking sandals) did. You're telling me ubergenius Raven, who once had her consciousness highjacked, didn't ask any questions about it's intent, even after she suggested letting them live to try and do better even though Clarke failed, and it rejected the idea with no hesitation? That "her consciousness has joined with ours" line didn't sound at all weird to Clarke in the end when asking about Madi? Or the fact that she wasn't able to refuse the test the way Becca did even though she wasn't the one to initiate it, nor did she want to be the one to take it? If there's a choice to return, why wouldn't more people be returning? I guess just don't think too hard about it?

Happy Mischief Night!

I’m on Lo Loestrin Fe for my ovarian cysts. I’ve been in pain since July 15th but it’s greatly subsided because I know the cause of it now! My period started on October 1st after skipping August and September entirely, maybe because October’s my favorite month and fall calms me lol. It also lasted thirteen days. Am I breaking out because I’m on the pill, or because I ate like three chocolate bars and a key lime pie this month? The only time I eat sweets is when I’m menstruating or it’s a holiday.

My next gyne appointment is in late November and I wonder if I’m going to have to have a laparoscopy, ugh. I haven’t been able to do abdominal exercises since mid-July. Swimming was out of the question because of covidiots. :/ I also need to schedule my wisdom teeth removal.

The rest of this post is about the Ginger Snaps trilogy because I felt that series deserved its own review post. (Even if it’s short.) I haven’t written one of those in a while! There are so many notes on my phone from all the horror movies I ‘ve watched this year. These notes are from months ago so hopefully I remembered everything correctly lol.

Ginger Snaps

Less than two minutes in and a doggy died. But the rest of the franchise makes up for it. The first two are some of the few chick flicks I really like, alongside Carrie, Gone Girl, and Heathers. Brigitte is one of my favorite types of goth characters. You don’t require heavy makeup, all-black clothing, or to wear certain brands. Sometimes all you need are skeleton accessories, mostly black clothing, a dark soundtrack, and of course morbid interests. (The bone pens were so cute!) The Fitzgerald sisters’ fascination with gruesome deaths could be off-putting, but pre-lycanthropy they seemed like they had promising photography careers.

Ginger and Brigitte’s mom was truly ride-or-die until the end. A deleted scene has her take the blame for the killings. I wish first period cakes were the norm. In a way I got one, because I reached menarche a week before my twelfth birthday. At first I thought the girls were fraternal twins. The silver belly button ring insertion was like a hardcore version of the earlobe piercing scene from The Parent Trap. Ginger Snaps is like a dark inversion of that movie, sortakindanotreally, where the sisters grow farther apart. At the end, they are without their parents. Not because the protagonists are left orphans, but because they felt like they couldn’t tell Mom and/or Dad about the paranormal aspects of Ginger’s belated puberty. Again, if you like Carrie, check this out.

For a guy with three sisters, Jason sure was a d-bag towards girls. I like how he just walked off with a syringe in his neck. The audience never learns what happens to him. We never learn the identity of the male wolf from Unleashed, but the creators say it wasn’t him or Sam.

There’s also some excellent dark humor. On hiding bully Trina’s body: “Shallow grave? I don’t know, just seems appropriate. Also, “I can see your gaunch!” Apparently that’s Canadian slang.

Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed

The first sequel I actually liked more than the original. I plopped it on my fave horror movie list.

Getting hit on by someone who works at a place you frequent is not usually pleasant. Jeremy was kind-hearted, at least. Too bad Brigitte’s admirer had to off him. Okay, I can’t remember why, but I thought Dr. Brookner was a pervo like Tyler. Tyler’s a horrible person, but a great character. Because he took sex/ual advantage of young addicts, but looked out for Ghost. Again, horrible person, but his character showed you can’t clock a rapist 24/7. Unleashed is also great because it passed the Bechdel test without making a big deal about it. It’s just organic. Female characters talking to each other.

As I said before, we never learned the Best of Bailey Down nor the stalker’s identity, but it made the movies feel more realistic, not having all the answers. “Beautiful” by Joydrop was a fitting credit song, because it describes Ginger and Brigitte’s relationship prior to the former’s death.

Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning

While this wasn’t as enjoyable as the first two, it’s definitely one of the better pieces of werewolf media I’ve consumed. The Beginning is basically a historical AU, although I think Brendan Fletcher is the only “original” actor besides Perkins and Isabelle.

This movie and THIR13EN Ghosts taught me JR Bourne was born to play a DILF. Teen Wolf introduced me to him, so I was already in love when I got to daddy Russell Lightbourne from The 100. (I have to catch up on season seven, now that it's finally on Netflix. I was having trouble accessing On Demand for a few days, when it took NOS4A2’s second season off. Darn it. The hourglass dude is hot. Still gonna write for it.) Bourne just ages so well. DADDY.

Wario. We shall, my lord.

Exeunt Wario and Waluigi.

Bowser. Sweet Gertrude, leave us too;

For we have closely sent for Hamlet hither,

That he, as 'twere by accident, may here

Affront Wendy.

Will so bestow ourselves that, seeing unseen,

We may of their encounter frankly judge

And gather by him, as he is behav'd,

Peach. I shall obey you;

And for your part, Ophelia, I do wish

Wendy. Madam, I wish it may.

Kamek. Ophelia, walk you here.- Gracious, so please you,

We will bestow ourselves.- [To Wendy] Read on this book,

Bowser. [aside] O, 'tis too true!

Mario. To be, or not to be- that is the question:

Wendy. Good my lord,

Wendy. What means your lordship?

discourse to your beauty.

Wendy. Could beauty, my lord, have better commerce than with honesty?

Mario. Ay, truly; for the power of beauty will sooner transform

honesty from what it is to a bawd than the force of honesty can

translate beauty into his likeness. This was sometime a paradox,

but now the time gives it proof. I did love you once.

Wendy. Indeed, my lord, you made me believe so.

Mario. You should not have believ'd me; for virtue cannot so

inoculate our old stock but we shall relish of it. I loved you

not.

Wendy. I was the more deceived.

Mario. Get thee to a nunnery! Why wouldst thou be a breeder of

sinners? I am myself indifferent honest, but yet I could accuse

me of such things that it were better my mother had not borne me.

I am very proud, revengeful, ambitious; with more offences at my

beck than I have thoughts to put them in, imagination to give

them shape, or time to act them in. What should such fellows as I

do, crawling between earth and heaven? We are arrant knaves all;

believe none of us. Go thy ways to a nunnery. Where's your

father?

Wendy. At home, my lord.

Mario. Let the doors be shut upon him, that he may play the fool

nowhere but in's own house. Farewell.

Wendy. O, help him, you sweet heavens!

Mario. If thou dost marry, I'll give thee this plague for thy dowry:

be thou as chaste as ice, as pure as snow, thou shalt not escape

calumny. Get thee to a nunnery. Go, farewell. Or if thou wilt

needs marry, marry a fool; for wise men know well enough what

monsters you make of them. To a nunnery, go; and quickly too.

Farewell.

Wendy. O heavenly powers, restore him!

Mario. I have heard of your paintings too, well enough. God hath

given you one face, and you make yourselves another. You jig, you

amble, and you lisp; you nickname God's creatures and make your

wantonness your ignorance. Go to, I'll no more on't! it hath made

me mad. I say, we will have no moe marriages. Those that are

married already- all but one- shall live; the rest shall keep as

they are. To a nunnery, go. Exit. Cue melody to Wario’s Castle from Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins.

Wendy. O, what a noble mind is here o'erthrown!

The courtier's, scholar's, soldier's, eye, tongue, sword,

Th' expectancy and rose of the fair state,

Th' observ'd of all observers- quite, quite down!

And I, of ladies most deject and wretched,

And I do doubt the hatch and the disclose

Will be some danger; which for to prevent,

I have in quick determination

Thus set it down: he shall with speed to England

For the demand of our neglected tribute.

Haply the seas, and countries different,

With variable objects, shall expel

This something-settled matter in his heart,

Whereon his brains still beating puts him thus

From fashion of himself. What think you on't?

Kamek. It shall do well. But yet do I believe

The origin and commencement of his grief

Sprung from neglected love.- How now, Ophelia?

You need not tell us what Lord Hamlet said.

We heard it all.- My lord, do as you please;

But if you hold it fit, after the play

Let his queen mother all alone entreat him

To show his grief. Let her be round with him;

And I'll be plac'd so please you, in the ear

Of all their conference. If she find him not,

To England send him; or confine him where

Your wisdom best shall think.

Bowser. It shall be so.

Madness in great ones must not unwatch'd go. Exeunt.
