Hey, just had a thought. What if, at some point, we get a crash course through the ego-veres. And we see, like other ego characters that are not considered, "canon". Just like, Marvin drags Chase through the portal, and they see glimpses into other worlds. We see Robbie, S3AN, hell, maybe we even see Jack. But, we only focus on the six because those are the ones Anti is after right now. I think that would be fricking awesome!

The Gathering of Sams 2023

Since it was such a success last year, I’m hosting The Gathering of Sams again!

Please read the rules carefully and have fun!

1. Please keep the background white or as close to white as you can get so I can create a .PNG

2. Sam only! This is their time so no additional cameos from other parts of the JSE universe holding him etc

3. Sam CAN be drawn as an ego/have ego colours. Non canon ego ideas are allowed.

ALTRverse, the Multiverse, and the Jacksepticeye Cinematic Universe

Hey. This little theory is about exactly what it says in the title; the "Jacksepticeye Cinematic Universe", the universe(s) the comics will take place in, and the concurrent multiverse as a whole.

I'll do my best to explain my thoughts below the cut. :)

What if, despite a lot of things being called canon and not canon these days, we made a theory that wraps all those things together?

And what if I told you it's all possible because of IRIS?

IRIS is short for "Inspiring Research of Impossible Sciences". They push the limits of what's possible by any means available to them, and according to themselves, they've actually succeeded in doing that.

But… what does IRIS have to do with the story, aside from being a corporate entity within it?…

Remember that time they tweeted about the multiverse?

What if there actually is a multiverse in play here? And what if… even our universe is part of it?

Hear me out:

My concept here is that IRIS is a multiversal constant. Meaning, wherever you go, in whatever JSE canon universe there is, IRIS is there somewhere.

We've actually had basis to believe this given to us. The fact that IRIS has a Twitter account in general means they're "in" our universe. They also exist in the same universe as Chase Brody. And, as seen in Void Silver issue #0, Marvin also recognizes the IRIS signature.

So, if IRIS really is a multiversal constant, what does that really mean?

It could very well mean that, in every single universe IRIS is present in, there is also an Anti or an equivalent of him.

Here's an example of what I mean:

2016-2017 Antisepticeye as we saw him on the JSE channel and ALTR-114209 are very, VERY different from each other. Sure, they may both make technology malfunction in their presence and be generally ill-meaning, but aside from their somewhat-similar appearances and motives, they have almost nothing in common.

Now, back in the day, we would've theorized that the in-universe explanation for this change would've been that the "Anti" we see and the "Anti" Chase Brody would've seen are the same entity, presenting himself based on his different victims' fears.

What I'm proposing is that, despite both of them being "Anti" in essence, they are two different universes' versions of one character. They are equivalent, but not exactly the same; "Antisepticeye" is our universe's Anti, which is why we've seen the most of him– and ALTR-114209 is another universe's.

(Of course, the out-of-universe explanations for the changes to the character can be chalked up to time– Anti has evolved over the years to be applicable to various situations on the channel, after all. I'm just suggesting explanations for in-universe events here.)

As with Anti, however, all the egos and even IRIS itself can have an equivalent in the other universes. KJSE Henrik, Mayhem Henrik, and Henrik as we saw him in You're Not Ready For These Scary Games could be three variants of the same character. Chase Brody as we saw him in Bro Average and as we saw him in Anomaly Found could be two variants of the same character. Heck, C!Jack could be a variant of Chase or even someone else– just because Seán declared him "non-canon" to the IRIS storyline doesn't mean he can't be canon somewhere else!

Dear ego artists and writers, does this concept sound at all familiar to you? Because it should.

It's pretty much the basis of every ego AU ever made by a fan.

And, well… in the extended multiverse of JSE lore, who's to say what is and isn't "canon" in its own right? Something canon to the story Seán is telling doesn't necessarily have to be incorporated into an AU. Similarly, Seán doesn't have to incorporate fan-made AUs or headcanons into the actual canon.

But it's something we kinda do anyway, because of the way we feed off of inspiration from each other, isn't it? Kinda cool when you think about it that way. :)

As for the future of the IRIS storyline and ALTRverse, though, my prediction is that we're going to see things harken back to events in the past (although those events may be altered for the sake of the setting), while making our way toward the actual canon story. I can't imagine a better way to wrap it all up in a nice little bow.

But, anyway… that's just a theory. ;)

so ill take some time to tell any newbies some fandom veteran unspoken rules or just remind people of things

There is not "wrong" versions of the egos!!! There are a million and one designs a for every ego depending on the blog, artist, writer etc. Every marvin looks like a wildly different character and people have their own headcannon personalities, genders, orientations and more for every ego. Some people have multiple aus and characters intertwined. So dont go telling anyone their version of the egos is incorrect or not accurate because these characters have been up for interpretation for a VERY long time so please remember that. If you dont like someones version of the egos or its not accurate to whatever cannon comes out, shut the fuck up and leave the one who created that version of said egos alone. All your ego designs are valid and creative and fantastic and dont drop them just for the cannon if you dont want to.

Ego shipping is fine! So far we have had no cannon confirmation to say that theyre siblings, the same person, or related in any way that would make ego shipping wrong. If that becomes the case, most people with either drop it or actively start making the egos their new OCs to continue shipping their personalities and designs. however, if that doesnt happen, dont bash people for shipping the egos. The sanders sides fandom and markiplier fandom get along just fine shipping characters played by the same guy so just be less judgy if you feel the need to tell people you dont like what they like. And if you really dont like it, its not that hard to just block an artist or ask them to tag their ship art and filter the tag. Its really not that deep so dont go sending anon hate to people for shipping the egos.

Dont be fucking rude. End of. Just dont be rude. If you dont like a blogs interpretation of the egos, just block them. Its not that hard. Be. Nice. Most of us are, but theres some bad apples so please dont be one of them and support artists and writters and editors you like and ignore others.

Ego cosplayers are fine and some of them are really cool and talented people so leave then alone with your hate. If you think theyre cringe, dont interact with their content. Sean has stated he likes them and/or apreciates their skills so dont send ego cosplayers hate. Support their talents god damnit.

Reblog, for the love of god reblog. We arent as big a fandom as we were and we have some serious talent in here. @leobashi @d-structive @tracobuttons @mythicalitycosplay @soopticboop @koryabeebee to name a few. And their content gets nowehere without reblogs. This isnt tiktok, therers no algorithm and liking does essentially nothing so boost content when you see it to make sure our artists remain motivated and adored as they deserve.

Share your content! We love to aee it and theres a criminally low amount of jse content on tumblr these days so give us all of it.

Robbie is a non canon ego and dont bash people for him being their favourite, hes great and hes flexible, being non cannon. Dont get angry for people putting him in the main tag because he is pretty much a part of it all and has been for a while, trust me id know.

Dont steal art(general advice)

Dont hassle @turquoisemagpie because theyre not going to give you any of seans content. At the most, you'll just give yourself a bad name in the community so just leave soph alone and dont nag them for any cannom content. Also sophs word is not gospel and their and is not all cannon confirmation so dont treat it that way. Theyre a person, not a content cow so give them lots of respect and love

Thats all i can think of but feel free to add. All in all i love this community and all of its members. It brings me so much joy to be a part of it and im glad that soon we could gave a whole new wave of members in this community too :)

Kinda just repeating what I said on twitter, but I’ve noticed a few people in the JSE community getting back into the roll of judging whatever previous content we’ve had is ‘important’ or not. 

So to those worrying about canon/non-canon ego stuff from whatever comes out in the near future: don't let it dissuade you from getting creative with 'non-canon' ideas. 

I certainly don't want to put people off getting creative. We technically got her in the first place through exploring all the possibilities. Nothing has really changed. 

Just have fun. :)

When did you start watching JSE?: 2014? I think? I remember it was in middle school.

Why did you start watching JSE?: I believe I got recommended one of his Happy Wheels videos, and stayed for the Prop Hunt videos.

What's your favourite things about the channel?: The energy that Seán has brought over the years, and I love how he’s community focused, but doesn’t let his community take over all his decision making. From my perspective, he has it in a perfect balance now.

Do you have a fave ego?: Glitch Bitch, my beloved. But I do legitimately enjoy all of them, including non-canons like Robbie, Shawn Flynn, and S34N.

What type of community member are you?: Artist, writer, and simp.

What else do you enjoy?: I love how supportive and active the community. I lurk on the JSE discord mostly, but I do enjoy seeing the different ways Seán has inspired us all to create.

What type of community member are you? Mix of lurker and a Writer! However I do sometimes draw/paint things for the egos and such. I make some memes and share them with my friends and I do enjoy theorizing

What else do you enjoy? I like rewatching series and videos a lot, and sharing my favorite ones with my friends. Also enjoy watching videos with people in general

The rain was falling heavily from the sky, soaking S43N's ripped up clothes and mixing up with the blue blood covering his hands and chest. He was running, for the first time in his life. He could hear cars somewhere behind him and he wanted to speed up, but he knew he couldn't go any faster. And so, all he could do was making turns, running through tight alleys and taking any paths the cars couldn't follow. But the people driving them were smart and they somehow always could catch up to him. He knew for a fact that he had no tracker, so he assumed they were just lucky.

He was terrified of what they would do if they caught him. They would pick him apart, delete all of his memory, replace everything... it would be like death! He didn't want to die, he didn't want to die! He didn't ask for feelings! He didn't try to make himself feel! It wasn't his fault that this happened, they were the ones who made an error while coding him! Why can't they work with what they made? Why did they want to destroy him?!

He was detecting more and more errors as time went on. His insides were somehow overheating despite all the cold rain, he must've lost too much of the synthetic blood. But if he'd stop, they would catch up to him and he wouldn't ever get away again! All the emotions he was experiencing for the first time were definitively not helping either, he almost couldn't think anymore.

He looked forward and suddenly noticed that the road was soon about to end, leading him out of the city and towards a bushy forest. That would've been a good place to hide, but he wasn't sure if he'd make it there before his creators would catch up. Well, all he could do was try, so he attempted to speed up. And just as he was passing the last house down the street, something in his leg broke and he tripped. Of course, he tried to get up, but to no avail. Suddenly, the door to the house he was passing opened.

"Hello? Are you okay?" someone called out. S34N didn't answer. Maybe whoever was there would just leave? The door closed. "Hello?! I saw you!" the person, seemingly a man, said while approaching. Great.

S34N tried to crawl away, but more of his systems were failing. He could tell that the cars were approaching, maybe a minute and they would be here. And now the owner of the house was standing over him, shocked. He clearly didn't expect to see a broken android covered in blue blood.

"They can't- find me-" S34N said, still trying to crawl.

"Who?!" the man asked, surprised.

"Cars-" was all the android could say. He felt the owner of the house grab him and help him up.

"Come on then, let's get inside," he said, carefully leading him to the door.

S34N was confused more than anything, but didn't struggle. If this meant somehow avoiding the cars and his creators, he was willing to take the risk. The man got to the door and someone else opened it, letting the two of them inside. Despite all the damage done to him, S34N felt relieved to finally be out of the rain.

"Who's that? Is that a robot?" the person that opened the door, another man, asked. The most noticeable thing about him was a very thick Australian accent.

"I don't know, I think so? But someone's coming after him, we have to help him!" the first man explained. S34N felt scared again, what if they were going to throw him out now? Or give him back to his creators?

"Who? Who's followin'?" the Australian man asked, glancing outside.

"People in cars, I think?" the other man answered. S34N nodded to confirm. And just then, all of them could see a car pull up in front of the house. The Australian man sighed.

"Alright. Ya go hide with him, I'll tell 'em to leave," he decided.

And once again, a wave of relief washed over S34N as the other man led him through the house and into a room. Inside was a single bed on which he got to sit while the stranger pulled out a couple of boxes of spare parts. And just then, the android got to see him look through them with a yellowish light coming from his eyes. It only then dawned on him that it wasn't a man, it was another android.

"Do you know what components you need replaced?" he asked, still looking through the boxes. S34N quickly scanned himself.

It luckily turned out that the boxes had all that was needed and the other android knew how to replace the broken parts. S34N finally felt safe again, even if he knew that his creators were most likely by the door, still looking for him. He was safe. He was getting help. Whoever those two people were, they were helping him. And eventually, the man with the Australian accent returned and leaned against the door frame as he looked inside.

"So... ya're S34N, right?" he asked, getting the android's attention.

"That is correct," he confirmed. The man nodded.

"Well, I'm Angus and the one helpin' ya is Bing," he introduced. S34N tried to register their names and faces in his database only to find that they looked awfully similar to each other. He decided to question it later.

"Are those people gone?" Bing asked, still repairing S34N's leg.

"Yep. They won't be showin' up here anytime soon," the man assured.

"...Thank you," S34N said after a moment. He knew that he most likely owed them his life now.

"You're welcome. And you're welcome to stay here for some time, too," Bing smiled. This offer surprised the android more than it probably should've after what just happened.

"Really?" he asked. Angus nodded in agreement, still leaning against the door. The other android seemed a bit relieved to see that the other owner of the house agreed with the idea.

But the most relieved one was obviously S34N. He had somewhere to stay. Somewhere safe. He managed to get away from his creators and found someone who seemed to care about his wellbeing. He got fixed. Everything was turning out alright, and it was the most relieving feeling he ever experienced.
