I talked with @baronesscmd about chapter 82 and she made me aware of an interesting detail.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
When the cranes turn into Kokujoudai they go up in flames.
It looks like the flames are always a necessary element for Tsukasa's return.
Tumblr media
And it's interesting that the Kokujoudai were Origami cranes before, could they be made of the letters Tsukasa wanted to write.
Or could it be that Tsukasa is fused with Kokujoudai?
Are these Kokujoudai perhaps human souls?
Is he able to return, even if his human body dies, because of this fusion?
In my last theory I wondered if the beings who spoke to Tsukasa might be the lost souls of the sacrificed Kannagis. Since they are able to melt into water they might be able to leave their pit and curse the living human. Here is the link.

Did Kou accidentally just cause a paradoxical time loop,,, like is there only one Tsukasa, and after being told Amane kills Tsukasa at age 13, did Babykasa make the decision to go back home to be killed - therefore ending up as the Ghostkasa,,,
Tsukasa's life hurts my soul 馃槶

I was doing fine, Tsukasa. Not really but like after watching a movie where a girl's head just fell off in broad daylight and me screaming like it's daytime and no one's sleeping.. as fine as I can be after that.. like. Idk what I'm talking about but Tsukasa sweetie "I know how to go back." Like ?? You just hanging out with the forces of darkness for.. what exactly? Sport?

I just. Love TBHK鈥檚 way of writing a self-fulfilling prophecy when it comes to Nene (and now Kou) trying to change Amane鈥檚 past by saving him and/or Tsukasa while still never letting the readers feel completely hopeless.
Like,,,, Nene giving up her wishing tag so that Amane can become an astronaut ultimately just ensures that he never becomes one and that he dies because that's the only way his wish of seeing her again will come true. Nene trying to comfort Amane in middle school makes him drop his key, no doubt changing the past. And now in chapter 82 with them trying to tell Tsukasa the truth in an effort to change the past, only sends him back to where Amane kills him, when otherwise he probably would've just stayed away.
No matter how hopeful things may seem for a second the story never lets you, the reader, forget that no, this won't change the fact that Amane will murder Tsukasa and then die an early death.
But even though the concept is so bleak and tragic the protagonists themselves, Nene and Kou and even Hanako to some extent are still such hopeful characters that the story remains-- well, not completely happy, but certainly not completely depressing. The characters constantly make efforts to change the past, the future and the present no matter what! Despite repeated failed attempts and numerous losses they still keep trying! For their loved ones! It鈥檚 such a sweet sentiment! And it鈥檚 because of these hopeful actions that they just keep spiraling with said loved ones towards a doomed ending! It鈥檚 so tragic!
And it makes the reader question what is to happen when it comes to Nene鈥檚 fate-- is saving her even possible anymore, when Amane鈥檚 fate seems clearly sealed? The reader and the characters want to believe it, but not only have their past attempts at undoing destiny resulted in abysmal failure, but Nene is more and more constantly putting herself in harm鈥檚 way and losing out on the little life she has left. But because unlike the prophecy with Amane we don鈥檛 know for certain that Nene will die, so we remain just as hopeful as the characters themselves in that regard, even if it鈥檚 useless, because honestly? Their optimism and drive is contagious.

Who is in Tsukasa's stomach?
Tumblr media
First I thought the supernatural who fulfilled Tsukasa's wishes was only one being.
But now I see it. There are several speech bubbles from different directions. Maybe there are more than one.
Tumblr media
And who are the beings trapped in the pit?
Tumblr media
The Kannagis.
The one who curse the livings are able to melt into water.
Tumblr media
In this form they would be able to leave the pit.
Tumblr media
So the Kannagi could be responsible for the curse of the Red House.
Tumblr media
When Kou and Nene tried to leave the Red House with Tsukasa there was something which wanted to kill them (maybe the Kannagi full of hate).
But the one in Tsukasa's stomach was different.
She asked him if he would go back.
So maybe he fused with one of the Kannagi who was like Katakuri.
One with the wish to return to the human world and see the blue sky again.
And Tsukasa granted her wish.

About Amane's fate
Tsuchigomori told Yashiro that Amane is the only person he knows that was able to change his fate.
He was supposed to grow up and become a science teacher, but instead, he died at age 13, after killing his little brother.
Now, in the recent chapter, Kou told baby Tsukasa about their future, about how Amane is going to kill him (and then die himself too).
At the end of the chapter, is implied that -somehow- the baby Tsukasa that is in the red house is the "original" Tsukasa (merged with the red house's entity), the one that went missing, and that the reason why he comes back to his family in the first place, is because Kou told him about what's going to happen in the future.
Tumblr media
So, Tsukasa was always fated to die. But Amane wasn't. Him dying changed his "original" fate. But now that Kou told Tsukasa that Amane is going to die at 13, and if all of this is a time loop (like it seems to be implied), does Amane's death really change anything? Did he really change his fate in the first place? Is his death some kind of self-fulfilling prophecy?
(Perhaps i'm not making any sense, but this paradox is really messing with my brain rn)

Kid Tsukasa mightve sold his soul to save Amane but that kid is still just as menace
Its like this weird phase of "oh god not you again" to "hey he might actually be good! And look it's a cute little kid!" And finally "nevermind."

Cause Kou-kun told me all about the parts of Amane I don鈥檛 know. Amane will die when he鈥檚 13, after killing me. Amane will die when he鈥檚 13, after killing me! After I went through all that trouble to grant his wish, he went and messed it up all on his own! I knew it, I want to learn even more about Amane!
I wonder how he鈥檒l kill me... I can鈥檛 wait to see.
