Omg thank you that’s so nice!!
But yeah, contrary to what Twitter tells you, nobody normal thinks that using your child to make butt jokes about Pete Buttigieg on his birthday means you’re a comrade, normal people just think that’s tacky.
And yes, Jude is extremely beautiful which he knows perfectly well lol. He’s also very good at guilt tripping me which is a special skill to be sure.
My child as a smaller child was in a contemplative frame of mind.
Why does he look so mad lmao

Try of the Week No. 1: Hanya Yanigahara’s, “A Little Life”
I decided to make this nothimtrying blog as a diary for all the attempts im doing in hopes that it would take me down to memory lane one day and reminisce all the things i’ve done. Hopefully, this is a strong start to a long attempts of everything under the sun. Im not sure if I should make it a little more personal or like a review, so maybe along the way i’ll figure out a healthy mix between the two.
I dont know where to begin with this book honestly. I’ve read this book twice before deciding it would be my first try of the year. It was a little emotional for me to be honest, but it was an easy decision to make. I’ve fallen in love with this book a couple of years before quarantine happened. I picked up the book thru a recommendation by Queer Eye host, Antoni. Like I said earlier, it was an easy decision for me to retry this book only because I wanted to start somewhere I feel strongly about and familiar with. In these trying times, I wanted to feel something dear to my heart and tug on my heartstrings as I go thru page to page full of longing, hoping, heartbreak, fearlessness, and a certain amount of eagerness as if it’s my first time to read this book.
I dont really want to spoil any (for the most part) of the book because it’s that special to me. I think the beauty of this book truly lies in the truthfulness of its characters. I feel connected to each one and saw a little of myself in them (mostly with Malcolm). If you’re looking for a book to read to spend time with and hopefully fall in love with during this quarantine, then grab this book. Sit with it every morning with your coffee or, in my case, tea. Start your day with a little life, and rediscover yourself and who you are by reading passages after passages. A constant state of self reinvention without losing yourself in it. It made me realize that there’s a little life with big surprises. Life is beautiful and difficult and exciting, and that’s the thing that really kept me reading and reading.
For the try part, it wasnt such a difficult ask to read this book in a week, like i said i decided to start with this because this is something i loved. I think the hardest part really is to manage how much you’re going to read in a day, because it is an 800 page novel. 120 pages a day doesnt sound bad, but i dont really read like that (who does? that’s insane).
i love this book and all its characters, i hope you fall in love with them too.
