A Long Lost Friend/ Jughead Jones x Reader:

Y/n has been friends with Jughead since she was five years old. When Y/n ran away from home at seven years old she hasn't been back in Riverdale for nine years. Finally Y/n comes home and Jughead finds out.

The reason why I ran away at seven years old was because I needed to get out. My parents were abusing me and they almost killed me some nights. My mom and dad were Southside serpents but they were pieces of shits. I just couldn't so I ran to Greendale for nine years.

I then finally decided to come back because I missed Riverdale. Riverdale was my home even if my shitty parents were around. I don't have to live with them anymore so I can just rent a trailer and get a job. After driving awhile finally making it to Riverdale I decided to stop by Pops Chocolate Shop.

I find a parking space and I park my motorcycle. I walk in and then Pop sees me. "Y/n is that you" Pop Tate asked. I nodded my head and started smiling. "Hey Pop" I said. He came over and gave me a big hug. "I've missed you kiddo" Pop said. I hugged him back until he let me go.

"Here go sit down and I'll get you something to eat" Pop added. "Alrighty" I said grabbing a menu. I then went to sit somewhere and I decided to go and sit at a booth in the far back corner.

I finally decided to order my old special order. "Do you want your usual Y/n" Pop asked me as he walked up to me. "Uh yes please" I said. "Alright so the chicken tender basket with a side of fries and a chocolate shake coming right up" Pop said walking away with my menu. I laughed as he got it right.

It doesn't even feel like I left Riverdale at all. I really missed this town. Suddenly I seen a person walk in that looked familiar. It was Sweetpea. He didn't see me but I was observing him. He has grown up a lot like he is more badass.

"Sweetpea" I hollered. He looked over and. seen me. "Y/n" Sweetpea said. I got up and smiled at him. "In the flesh" I said. He ran up to me and hugged me. "Missed you big trouble maker" I said. He pulled back and laughed. "We need you to be a serpent truly girl" Sweetpea said. "Yeah that would be nice" I said. Sweetpea nodded his head and smiled.

"If you want I was on my way to the White Wyrm right now if you wanna come with me" Sweetpea said. I smiled and nodded my head at him. "Well can we let me eat first and we can catch up then go?" I ask. Sweetpea nodded his head yes and we sat down. Pop then finally brought my food out and I ate my food while me and sweetpea caught up on everything that's happend since I've been gone.

Me and Sweetpea walk into the White Wyrm and it still looked the same when I left. They still had the pool table, bar, and dance area. It all was coming back to me and it made me smile.

"Wow it looks amazing" I said.

I turn to the right and I seen a familiar face I haven't seen in a long time. It was my old long lost friend Jughead Jones.

"Jughead!" I said.

Jughead turned around and seen me he looked at me as if I seen a ghost. "Y/n" Jughead said excited. I ran to him and gave him a big old bear hug. "I missed you" I said crying. Jughead rubbed my head softly and pulled away.

"I missed you too you got no idea" Jughead whispered. "It's good to have my long lost friend back" I said.

Jughead wiped my tears away and smiled at me. "I'm glad to have you hear again Y/n" Jughead said hugging me again.

Sweet Pea had borrowed my Dad’s truck and currently had me in the passager seat with a blindfold on. He said he had a surprise for me and that I had to keep the blindfold on until he said I could take it off. He had some of my favorite music playing as we drove and I was getting excited. 

“Sweets, where are we going?” I asked and he gently placed his hand on my thigh. 

“Somewhere special, we’re almost there.” He said and I dramatically sighed. 

“Can’t you just tell me?” I asked and he chuckled. 

“That would ruin the surprise.” He said and I once again sighed dramatically. It took another five minutes of driving, but the truck finally stopped. 

“We’re here.” He said and I reached to take the blindfold off, but Sweets stopped me. 

“Not yet, patients babe.” He said and I could hear the smirk in his voice. Sweets got out and opened my door. He helped me out of the truck and we started walking. It felt so disorienting to walk without being able to see, but I just knew it would be worth it. When we stopped walked, Sweets stood behind me and gently took the blindfold off. 

“Oh my god! Sweets!” I said when I saw the surprise. There was a baby blue blanket on the ground with plates and sweets on top. It was right near Sweetwater River and it was just so perfect. Pea took my hand and led me to sit down next to him on the blanket. 

“Toni helped me make some things, so I hope you like them.” He said and I smiled. 

“It all looks so tasty!” I said and picked up one of the sweets. 

“Mmmm, soo good!” I smiled. Pea pulled out his phone and put on some music. It was all so perfect, Sweets was so perfect. 

“Here, try this.” He said and held up what looked like a donut with whipped cream in the middle. I took a bite and smiled. 

“Oh my God, that’s so good!” I said. It tasted amazing, but it tasted like it had a fruit in it. I couldn’t quite put my finger on what is was, but who cares, it was sooo good. I took another bite and moaned in happiness. Sweets laughed and I offered him a bit. He took it and smiled at me. 

The two of us were enjoying everything Sweets planned and it was fun. However, maybe five minutes after I had the donut thing my mouth started feeling itchy. I didn’t think much of it, but then I started coughing. I grabbed a glass of the sparkling apple juice Sweets poured for us and took a big gulp. The liquid did nothing to stop the scratchiness I was feeling in my throat and mouth. I felt my chest start to get tight and Sweets looked over at me with wide eyes. 

“Y/N? Are you alright?” He asked. I shook my head and placed my hand on my chest. I began wheezing and Sweets eyes widened. 

“Were-Were there Strawberries in anything?” I asked and his eyes widened more. Sweets quickly picked me up and ran to the truck. He left the picknick basket, food, and blanket right where it was. Luckily he remembered his phone. He called my Dad and asked him to meet us at the hospital. I was caughing and scratching at my skin the whole way there. I put all my focus on my breathing, since I could hardly do that at the moment. Sweets picked me up and quickly called for help. I was laid on a stretcher and rushed into the back. 

*Sweet Pea’s POV*

The doctors and nurses rushed her into the back and ran my hand through my hair. I might have just killed my girlfriend! How the hell could I be so damn forgetful!? It’s the one fucking thing she’s allergic to and I forgot! I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself down before everyone showed up. I took a seat and hung my head. I just couldn’t believe I was this stupid! God FP and Jughead are gonna fucking kill me… 

“Pea!” My head snapped up and I saw Toni, Jughead, Fangs, and FP coming towards me. 

“What the hell happen, boy?” FP asked and I sighed. 

“She had a reaction to something Toni and I made, but it’s all my fault.” I said and he sighed. 

“You gave her strawberries?” Jones asked and I sighed. 

“I forgot she’s allergic to strawberries!” I asked and FP placed his hand on my shoulder. 

“She’ll be fine, you did everything right.” He said and I sighed. 

“I hope so…” I mumbled. 

*Y/N’s POV*

I woke up feeling pretty tired still, but tried to shake it off. Took a deep breath and my lungs were very happy with that. I smiled as I felt like I could breath pretty normal again. The door to my room opened and I looked over to see a doctor smiling at me. 

“How are you feeling, Miss. Jones?” He asked and I smiled. 

“Much better now that I can breath.” I answered. 

“Good, as I’m sure you know you had an allergic reaction.” He said and I nodded. 

“I didn’t realize there were strawberries in something I ate, honest mistake.” I said and he smiled. 

“Maybe make sure before you eat something next time.” He said and I nodded. 

“I will.” I said and he gave me a nod. 

“I’ll send in your visitors now.” He said and left. I figured it would just be Sweets and my Dad, but I should have known better. 

“Y/N/N!” I looked over and saw my brother rush over and engulf me in a hug. 

“You’re alright!” He said and held me tightly. 

“I’m fine, Juggie.” I said and gently pushed him off me. 

“Jug, let your sister breath.” Our Dad said and I giggled. 

“I’m fine Daddy, it was an honest mistake.” I said and I looked over to Sweets, who had his head hung in shame. 

“Sweets?” I asked and he looked up at me with guilty eyes. I opened my arms for a hug and Sweet Pea reluctantly made his way over to me. 

“Everything’s alright, baby, I’m fine.” I said and he held me tighter. 

“I’m so sorry I forgot…” He whispered and I think I felt a tear hit my shoulder, but I wasn’t sure. 

“Sweets it’s fine, I’m alright and I don’t blame you.” I said. 

“How can you not? He literally almost killed you!” Jughead said and I rolled my eyes at him. Dad smacked the back of his head while Toni and Fangs glared at him. 

“You’re so dramatic Jug! I’m fine, it’s my fault too if anything. I didn’t have my EpiPen on me because I haven’t exactly used one in years.” I said when Sweets pulled back. 

“You didn’t taste the strawberries?” Toni asked and I shook my head. 

“It tasted so good, but I couldn’t really think of what the flavor was. I haven’t had strawberries since I was a little kid and I don’t really remember what they taste like.” I answered and my Dad sighed. 

“Maybe you should start carrying your EpiPen on you, just to be safe.” He said and I nodded. 

“Fineee.” I groaned and my Dad shook his head with a smile. 

“So you like strawberries?” Fangs asked. 

“Yes! Why do they have to be so good, but hurt me so much?” I asked and everyone laughed, even Sweet Pea chuckled. 

“I don’t know, darling, but don’t even think about eating anymore!” Dad said and I sighed. 

“I know…” I said and everyone smiled. I grabbed Sweet Pea’s hand and gave him a reassuring squeeze. I knew he was gonna beat himself up about this for awhile, but I’d remind him everyday that everything was perfectly fine and I don’t blame him.

“Hey, Juggie.” Y/n waved towards her beanie wearing friend as he showed up in the school parking lot with his friends.

“Y/n/n, long time no see.” Jughead smiled as he approached the Y/h/c-ed girl along with Toni, Fangs, and Sweet Pea.

“Jug I saw you two days ago.” she laughed, hugging him once he got close enough.

“We haven’t gone to school with each other in a while.” Jug nod's his head at her statement.

“True.” Y/n smiled

“Why are you outside?” Fangs asked the pretty girl who obviously knows Jughead.

“There’s a welcoming party for you all.” Y/n smirks shaking her head as she answered the handsome young serpent.

“Huh?” Jug looked at her confused and suspicious.

“Only a few put it together and yes, it’s who your thinking Jug. But be warned the Bulldogs and Cheryl are very against this.” she explained, shrugging in the process.

“Well before we go in mind introducing us to your friend here Jones? Toni?” Sweet Pea crossed his arms, not missing how Toni had also greeted the girl with a hug.

“Well, if either of you ever paid attention to anything other than pole at the Wrym you would’ve met her already.” Toni stated giving them an annoyed look that screamed ‘I told you so’.

“We’ve known each other since we were in diapers, she’s not just a friend she’s like my sister.” Jug explained to his followed Serpent boys. Jughead could tell Sweet Pea was still wary and Fangs seemed to not be able to take his eyes off her.

“She use to hang at the Wrym all the time.’ Toni added.

“Having known Jughead here all my life FP’s like a father to me.” Y/n smiled at the two boys standing in front of her.

“Like?” Jug scoffed tilting his head in her direction.

Y/n was family, there was no question. There was also no question that she was the honorary adopted daughter of FP.

“Oh haha. Fine, he is practically my dad. He helped my mom raise me and has been there for me my whole life.” Y/n answered.

“So are you a Serpent?” Sweet Pea asked with his arms crossed over his chest.

“Yes.” Y/n nodded as she answered his question holding her head high. She could understand his skepticism from his point of view.

“Y/n is the Serpent Princess.” Toni smirks nudging her friend, teasing her with her nickname.

“A title my dad gave her and I believe it’s fitting.” Jug stated.

“I’m gonna be the polite one between me and Pea and ask your name.” Fangs smiled

“It's Y/n. Y/n Y/l/n.” Y/n smiled reaching out to shake his hand. “An you?”

“Fangs Forgarty.” he smirked slightly but it ended up just turning back into a smile.

“Nice to meet you Fangs.” Y/n nodded

Once they let go of each other's hands Fangs elbowed Sweet Pea. “ow” Sweet Pea glared at Fangs.

Toni raised her eyebrows at the tall boy. “Introduce yourself instead of integrating the girl.”

“Sweet Pea, nice to meet you Serpent Princess.” he introduced himself after giving the pink haired girl an eye roll.

Y/n laughed at the exchange before shaking his hand. “Nice to meet you too.”

“Now that we're all acquainted, why don’t we all head into school now?” Jug asked, always the lover of education.

With that said they all grabbed their stuff and headed in. After the greeting by Archie, Veronica, Betty, and etc etc … Toni turned to Y/n with a look before asking. “This is Northside hospitality?”

“Welcome to the Northside.” Jughead snarked

“You know Y/l/n I thought once we were rid of Jones here, you would finally understand where you belong.” Cheryl spoke as she approached the group of young Serpents.

“Oh? And where would that be Cheryl?” y/n asked with her voice full of sarcasm as she crossed her arms turning to fully face the red headed Bombshell.

“By my side and the Bulldogs of course, silly. Not with these street rats.” Cheryl smiled her fake Blossom smile. Y/n would know the difference.

“Listen here Bombshell. These street rats as you call them are way better friends than your bulldogs would ever be. As for you Cheryl Blossom. You and I were good friends once upon a time until you decided to become a snot-nosed Bitch.” Y/n spoke pissed off stepping into Cheryl's personal space. Looking the HBIC right in the eyes. Y/n honestly missed having Cheryl as a friend. But then Cheryl she became someone who wasn’t the Cheryl Y/n grew up being friends with. If Cheryl ever came back then they could be friends again. “So leave us alone. I’m where I should be. Are you?”

With that said everyone started to head off to where they needed to be for the first period. After Toni and Y/n left off to their first classes the boys stood in the hallways for a minute. Sweet Pea and Fangs were ready to intervene when it came to Y/n and Cheryl’s talk. But Jughead and Toni had convinced them to back down. Y/n could fight her own fights, they know that for a fact. But they still stood ready as back up if the Bulldogs so much as moved a finger.

“I think I’m in love.” Fangs stated as they watched the girls disappear.

“She’s a Serpent so I’m cool with it.” Sweet Pea stated with a shrug at his friend's words. Truth be told he’s just glad it’s not a Northsider.

Jughead cast a glare at Fangs before saying. “She’s like a sister to me. If you hurt her Fangs I’ll bury you somewhere no one will ever find the body.”

Fangs gulped looking Jug in the eyes promising. “If I can get her to actually say yes then I promise I’ll never hurt her. At least I won’t try to.”

Sweet Pea suddenly got a thought in his head and he smirked. “Jones, you said she’s like a daughter to your dad right?”

“Yup.” Jughead nodded, casting a confused look to the tall dark haired boy. And then it hit him.

Sweet Pea clapped Fangs on the back as he let out an amused laugh. “Good luck Forgarty.”

Fangs turned his head to look at Jughead hoping he could explain since it seemed like he understood what Sweet Pea meant. “Huh?”

“Sweet Pea’s hinting to the fact that you’ll be dating the honorary daughter of Fp Jones, leader of the Serpents.” Jughead explained, and it was true if Fnags could get Y/n to say yes then he would be seeing the confusion leave Fang's face and was replaced by worry and a hint of fear. Jug patted him on the shoulder before continuing. “Don’t worry Fangs. She’s worth it.”

Requested: Yes, Unfortunately(?) I have had this part already written and posted on my Wattpad account so it doesn't really fit the request but her is part II.

Monday morning you were prepared for the worst. Knowing there would be no way to fight back with the battalion of student that would be throwing you hateful looks, in fact you would be lucky if that's all they would throw. But what could you do you were in no way a victim to in this story, you were the villain.

You had sent a girl off to the slaughter for your own selfish reasons. Not knowing or even caring if the ones she loved and loved her would ever see her again. Not thinking of how devastated Cheryl would be to learn of the demise of her first real love.

The hour in a half of sitting in your car in front of the school building did nothing to calm the raging storm inside your chest or loosen the noose you felt righting around your throat.

With one final deep breath you grab the handle and swing the car door open, step out and start marching towards the double doors with a look of false confidence on your face. Your heart jumps as you felt the cold handle of the entrance but you ouch it back yanking the door open and stepping into the crowded halls.

Making your way quickly down the hall to your locker trying to go unnoticed by your fellow peers and you were doing a good job of it until you felt both your arms being hooked to other human beings.

Your eyes travel up your arm to the face of the person you were now linked to and find a river vixen, turning your head you find another on the other arm.

"We heard about what you did." The one on your right started. "Honestly it was genius." she beamed with one of the brightest smiles you had ever seen in your life.

"Genius?" You asked so shocked a what she had just said you were 75% sure you were hearing things.

"Why of course, its about time someone sent a message to those slimy snakes." The one on the left cut in. "I mean southsiders are killing each other any ways what's the harm in giving them a little push every once in a while?" She explained.

"Don't worry the northside has you covered. #RiverdaleStrong." She said just as the bell signaled for fist period.

Breaking the link and splitting ways you make your way to your first period.

Although you were relieved that you weren't being ran from town by and angry mob with torches and pitch forks their words didn't give you the comfort you were sure they had intended. In fact they made you feel the exact opposite. You never minded that the southside student had started to attend riverdale, you were one of the ones that was all for this change it never made much sense to you that there be two schools in a town as small as riverdale,

Things didn't get any better once you arrived to first period English class, for the second time that day if felt as though your heart was going to leap out of your throat and all to the floor in front of you. As usual Cheryl was sitting in her usual seat in the middle of the classroom the seat to her left was occupied by Toni and the seat to her right was empty as it always was before you arrived.

Noticing your presence Toni stopped whatever conversation it was that she and Cheryl was having, Cheryl not long after following her gaze. You eyes locked together for no longer than a second before you broke it quickly walking father into the class. As you neared closer the you usual desk Cheryl hesitantly opened her mouth, only yo have you keep your steady pace and walk swiftly by her and to a desk that until now he's remained empty that you would not make yours. You felt her strong gaze on you the whole time, even after you had taken your seat and prepared for the class to begin. Despite being under her unwavering surveillance you kept your eyes glued to your desk, making it seem as though you were suddenly interested in the different grain design of your new desk top. Thankfully she was forced to turn around when the teacher walked into the room starting the lesson.

By the end of first period you had come to the concussion the what ever higher power controlled the corse of your life had some kind of vendetta against you. Because not only did you have a big project to do but you have been partnered with non other than Cheryl, granted it might have been all those time in the past when you and Cheryl had tried to raise hell when you weren't selected to be together to the point where teachers would just partner you together in order to avoid an argument.

Unlike everyone else in the class you had bolted out instead of trying to work out a schedule with you partner. You headed to you locker, putting in the combination quickly before reaching in and pulling out a highlighter starting to mark up the outline the teacher had passed out. Moments later you felt a presence next to you knowing exactly who it was you didn't bother to look up.

"So Y/N/N," Cheryl started. "I was thinking we could knock this out tonight like usual and then maybe a  cheesy romcom marathon for the rest of the night." Cheryl suggested with one of her brightest smile that would normally have you weak in the knees, but now you needed to stay strong.

You glance up noticing Toni standing close behind before looking back to your paper.

"Or we could do a facial night I know how much you love when we do that." She tries again.

After a few more moments of silence you cap you highlighter and place it back in you locker. Taking your outline and putting it in Cheryl's hands and taking hers which was peaking out of her bag.

"We can meet after school to go over the details of the project the highlighted lines are your responsibility, I'll take of the rest. Well meet once a week until the due the due date." You said all while switching out your book is for your next class. " if you have any questions or anything you can relay them to me in class." Closing your locker you turn and start to walk in the opposite direction.

Most of he day went by smoothly.despite having multiple classes together you managed to avoid Cheryl and the rest of the serpents. Until now when you were approached by Toni, Jughead and Sweet Pea.

"What do you want?" You asked trying not to show how scared you actually were.

"We just wanna talk." Jughead answered.

"We'll I'm not really in the mood for this particular conversation, but when  I am you'll be the first to know, Okay?" You replied attempting to push past the trio.

You felt a hand grip your upper arm and look back to see Toni, hand firmly planted on you body.

"Look you put out a hit on me the least you could do is listen to what we have to say." She said removing her hand from your arm and taking a step back.

"Oh she could do a lot less." A slightly familiar voice cuts in, not far way from your gathering you see the two girl that you have 'talked' to this morning accompanied by some bulldog including their captain Reggie Mantle.

"We don't want any trouble we were just here to tell Y/N, that all is forgiven between us." Toni said now directed at you.

"Whatever message received little snake." A bulldog replied. "Now you can all slither away.

After a few moments of glaring at each other the serpents finally walked away.

"Don't worry we have you back." Reggie said walking up to you.

"Yeah thanks." You mumbled watching Toni until she turned the corner leaving your sight.
