“oh, you’ve started stealing my socks now?” Rowaelin please
ROWAELIN MONTH: DAY 2
~ Collage Au ~
Bring this little au back from way back when. PART ONE HERE. Remember to check out @rowaelinscourt for more Rowaelin Month goodness.
~~~~~
Aelin preferred to do her washing at about 8pm in the evening on a Wednesday. It was slow during that time, it was after dinner and people were usually in their rooms doing other things, and mid week meant there wasn’t a mad rush for clean clothes for the weekend. While she waited for the washer and dryer to do their thing she allowed herself some recreational reading. A book that didn’t have to do with a single class, something she read for pure enjoyment.
She was just getting to the really juicy bit when the washing machine sang it’s little song and Aelin sighed as she slipped the bookmark in and closed the book. The sooner she got the clothes in the dryer the sooner she could get back to her book. Aelin started loading her wet washing into her laundry bag to take to the opposite wall of the room where the dryers were lined up. She was hauling out the last few pieces when she pulled out a sock that certainly didn’t belong to her.
It was dark green, but it wasn’t the colour that was unusual. It was the size. She suspected that if she tried it on it might just hit her knee. Whoever owned this must be a giant. Aelin was about to drop the item into the lost and found basket when she heard a voice behind her.
“Oh, you’ve started stealing my socks now?”
Aelin was already grinning when she turned around, she’d only met him the once but she remembered the sound of his voice and the smiles they had shared since their first run in. She had been correct in her assumption as she turned around and saw the Laundry Room guy standing there, looking amused and very pleased. The man was a giant, his feet needed to be big otherwise he’d be in risk of falling over.
“Rowan, right?” She asked, just to be polite. There was no way she’d be forgetting that name any time soon.
He pointed to her. “Aelin.”
“Guilty as charged,” she gave him her best smile. Maybe her book would have to wait a little bit longer.
~~~~~
Rowan couldn’t believe his luck. He was folding up his washing when he noticed one of his best socks missing and although he hated to do so, he walked all the way back down to the laundry to find it. Now he was presented with this serendipitous moment and he couldn’t be happier. All that the two of them had done was smile at each other since she had stumbled in on him handling her underwear, and now nearly the same thing had happened. At least Rowan got away with just a sock.
“Your feet are huge,” Aelin said, dropping his sock on top of her wet washing.
Rowan took a few steps forward, using his huge feet to get a little closer so they weren’t conversing across the length of the room. “I would say they’re proportional.”
“You know what they say about big feet,” she said, grinning to herself and gave him a wink. “Is everything proportional?”
Rowan choked as she cackled, carrying her bag of laundry to the dryer.
“I’m so sorry, that was awful. Please forgive me,” Aelin said as started loading in the wet clothes. “Really, so bad.”
Rowan just laughed, giving her what he hoped was a self assured shrug. “I gentleman never tells.”
Her laugh came out in a sudden burst, and Rowan’s heart did a thing he ignored for the moment. “Thank you for finding it funny and not reporting me to the RA.”
“Well, I might for you stealing my sock,” Rowan nodded to where it lay with her clothes.
“Oh, yeah.” She picked up the sock and threw it at him and he caught it easily. “Always a pleasure, Rowan. Enjoy your night.”
Rowan had wanted to stay, he really did. But he had a 500 word response to his weekly reading to upload before the night was out, and of course he hadn’t started. So instead he offered the stunning blonde a smile of his own.
“Until next time.”

11/11/11 thingy
I HATH BEEN TAGGED!!!!!!!!!
Thank you @carrotgirl-1 for including me in your lil ol’ list o’ tagged peeps. As you may or may not know this is the answer 11 questions tag 11 people thing. Suppose I can ask 11 more questions but we’ll see if my brain makes it through the first 2 steps.
1. How do you pick character names?
Hmm...... Some of them I do research into topics surrounding who/what the character is. Grigory Zmeya for example is my Russian snake guy and Zmeya is Russian for snake. Or is if the internet isn’t lying to me, but whatever. While others seemingly just come to me and then I find out that they actually have meanings that fit. Like calling a warrior person Ishtar and finding out about the Goddess Ishtar and how that fit the character perfectly. Some are just me writing at 3am and it’s all I can think of or they amuse me somehow. Ginger DeAngelo is one of those.
2. Which OC would you like to meet irl?
Chance Wolf..... no she’d probably shoot me. Er..... this is a tough one. I could say Lamont but then again he is almost me, just as a Satyr so that won’t do. Maybe Liz. Yeah I think Liz would be great. She’s a spider other that runs a magical brothel in the world I am writing with my Co-Author and she had six arms and likes coffee and to give hugs. She’s also in my fave typo that I have done so far in my writing where I wrote “What Liz before you” instead of Lies. Well there’s that and the Strawberry Italian Sofa, no whip. But that’s another story. next question.
3. Sunset or sunrise?
Which one is more pink? I like pink. Both are really pretty though. Probably seen more sunsets that sunrises. Not sure.
4. Would you rather explore the deep space or the deep seas?
Space! I mean have you seen Angler Fish?!??! No really it would be Space. Taz hate water. Not a fan of being in.on.anywhere near open water. Swimming pools I can deal with but lakes and the like, nope. No thank you. So off to Space with this goat.
5. What inspired your latest WIP?
My latest WiP? So that would be the Malarkey one I guess. Well I just wanted to write something goofy so made a couple of characters but the real inspiration was probably both @expositionpreposition and @waltzingwithsouls who both expressed great enjoyment out of reading about Marcus and Lars. So less a what and more a who??
6. Happy endings or sad endings?
Endings that feel earned. I mean there is nothing wrong with being happy or sad at the end of a journey but as long as it fits what came before. I don’t need a happy ending just because or a sad ending because it’s more “Real” or whatever I want an ending. I want closure be that for the better or not. I mean I feel like I suck at endings so eh. Guess I just don’t want endings to feel contrived or forced.
7. Do you believe in ghosts?
Yes.
8. What’s the first line from your favorite WIP?
Hmm......
“Next time we ride inside the airship!”
9. If you could shapeshift into any animal, which would it be?
A unicorn so I could stab people? I don’t know. Don’t think I’d want to be just one. Can’t I just shapeshift a bunch of times before I have to make up my mind?
10. So if you’re heading to a lovely garden buffet, with every cuisine imaginable, and you had free-flowing drinks and a chocolate fountain and desserts galore, and you’re wearing a nice dress or suit, right, and there’s a line in front of the roasted meats area, but you’re drooling and you just can’t wait to bite into that juicy steak so you go–you go to the seafood section, and then you see this person, this person who’s hogging all the lobster, just smiling at you as they keep piling on lobster after lobster, they can’t hold it anymore, they don’t have enough hands or plates, so you help them out, and after you help them out they smile sweetly and ask if you’d care for some lobster.
Who is this person?
That feels like a very Ginger thing. She’d probably just been doing stuff as a werewolf and needed the calories.
11. What’s your favorite line from your favorite OC?
Hmm.......... Probably when Chance said “Cool Superhero name, I’m doesn’t give a fuck woman.”
..................................
Ok. Onto the tags I guess. Also I gotta come up with some questions huh?
@anntarinsanitymaterialized @wordsaremylife @pinespittinink @expositionpreposition @yuutfa @notanotherhour @atinydino @periakman @writersblockandapotoftea @nicky-writes and @waltzingwithsouls
Usual caveat of you don’t have to do anything this old goat says but enough of that! Onto the Questions!
1) What is the most difficult scene you’ve had to write so far?
2) Banana?
3) What movie/tv show/book gave you an idea that you just had to steal/use in a different way/alter so that no one would know you stole it?
4) Favourite Cartoon Villain?
5) Have you ever read about a real world scientific thing that has led you to changing something in one of your WiPs?
6) I bought a new fancy mechanical keyboard that apparantly can do 16.1 million colors. What color should I set it to?
7) Is it weird that I switch between the US and UK spellings of words when I write?
8) Fave junk food?
9) Are there any languages that you wished you could speak?
10) Do you believe in Aliens?
11) Do you write down those shower/late night/4am ideas or do you try to hold onto them in your squishy brain meats?

Panipaali (I'm screwed)
Bucky in bed, almost 3am at night not able to sleep
Then he starts rapping about it, only to get a visit from a special friend.
Bucky: No-one around to sing me to sleep
Aye Aye Oh! I'm screwed!
No-one around to sing me to sleep
Aye Aye Oh! I'm screwed!
No-one around to sing me to sleep
Aye Aye Oh! I'm screwed!
No-one around to sing me to sleep.
I got no-one around to sing me a soothing lullaby.
All alone in my room.
I shut my eyes, but still no sleep.
Whatsapp seems like an empty street.
Once lights are out and it's a pitch black night.
Will a ghost creep upon me at night?
Did you hear a noise beneath my bed?
Don't tell me it's the ghost from the movie last night
Holding back my urge to pee.
But my lazy ass, cant be bothered to move.
Thirsty, I wish for some water, or may be y/n.
Too scared to open the door.
Ghostly vibes in the air.
Bored of watching YouTube videos.
Done with watching Porno, now what?
Shot and killed in PUBG.
Failed at Ludo till sunrise.
I toss, I turn, I twist, I twirl
Not a sign of sleep.
Fault of my fate, or fault in the stars?
Let no one suffer the same fate
Aye Aye Oh! I'm screwed!
No-one around to sing me to sleep
Aye Aye Oh! I'm screwed!
No-one around to sing me to sleep
*Knock knock!* Someone's at my door!
What? Wait, again a knock!
***
Bucky: Who is it?
Y/n's voice:It’s me
Bucky:What is it?
Y/n's voice:Open up~
Bucky:Why are you here?
Y/n's voice:To sing you a lullaby
Bucky:OMG this voice is awfully familiar
Y/n's voice:It’s me, y/n, the girl next door
Bucky:Oh my! Why are you here?
Y/n's voice:To see you honey, open the door
Bucky's*mind*:Oh my dear jesus
You heard my prayers so fast
A goddess by my side to sing me to sleep.
He unlocked the door as fast he could
That sent a shiver down my spine at the sight of her
Bucky:*gulp*
Bucky:Hey honey, the apple of my eye
Why doesn’t your feet touch the ground?
A woman wearing long white dress:Take a closer look, you silly boo~~
I am not who you think I am
I am a lonely vampire,
Just passing by
I stopped to say hi
Queen of nights are in full bloom
I have overwhelming desires
So I thought I’d drop by
Stark's wife, in the house next door,
I sunk my teeth into her juicy neck
Thought I had enough for the day
That’s when I heard your desperate cries
“No one to sing you to sleep”~
So lonely, so desperate.
It melted my heart,
Hence why I am here
Come here my juicy boy,My sugar plum, My hunny bun.
I’ll sooth you, I’ll caress you
Let me sing that lullaby to you
Bucky continues rapping:Alright I surrender!
But let me tell you something
Kill me if you must, but put me into sleep first
At least I can get a beauty sleep
*Vampire floating to Bucky*
Bucky mumbling:Aye aye oh! I'm screwed
A vampire has come to sing me to sleep
Aye aye oh! I'm screwed
******
*(Door knocks)*Open the door!!
Punk, Wake up, its too late
It is almost noon
Wake up!!
Bucky waking up:What!
*Bucky opening the door and seeing Steve*
Bucky: Steve, it was you?
Where is the vampire?
I am still alive?
Steve grinning from ear to ear:Stop talking rubbish, Buck.
Freshen up and come down.
The girl next door, y/n is waiting for you *wink, wink*😉
Bucky:WHAAAAAT????!!!

I just realized I never wrote this for @cloudyjayyyyy because i am literal trash
In the span of two minutes, Heath had lost Zane, Scotty, and Todd, and had gotten himself stuck outside by the pool, the mass of bodies between him and the door back inside so large and dense that he gave up before he even began.
He didn’t recognize anyone out here, but the breather was actually kind of nice. It was hot and loud inside, everyone sweaty and reeking of alcohol like it was a frat party. It wasn’t much cooler outside, considering it was summer in LA, but at least there was a breeze going.
Heath pulled a cigarette out of the pack in his pocket and stuck it in his mouth. He transferred his cup to his other hand and dug around in his other pocket for his lighter. Not only did he not find it, but someone bumped into him and he dropped his cup on the ground, precious alcohol spilling across the concrete edge of the pool.
“Son of a bitch,” Heath grumbled. He bent over to pick up the cup, wincing as his head swam a bit from the jungle juice he’d been sipping. When he stood up, there was someone in front of him, smiling at him sympathetically.
“Need a light?” JC asked. He flicked open his Zippo and held the flame up to Heath’s cigarette, and Heath inhaled gratefully.
“Thanks.” Heath nodded to JC, thankful that he finally recognized someone.
“Can I get you another drink? I saw your unfortunate little accident there.” JC held out his hand to take Heath’s cup, but Heath shook his head.
“It was probably a sign. I have a flight home tomorrow morning. I probably shouldn’t get too fucked up.”
JC dropped his hand and shrugged. “If you say so.”
Kian walked by and smacked JC on the ass before wrapping an arm around his shoulder. “We throw great parties, don’t we, best friend?” Kian’s words were slurred and his drink was sloshing out of his cup all over his shoes.
“We sure do, bud,” JC replied. He put a steadying hand on Kian’s chest. “Hey, have you met Heath yet? He’s friends with Dommy D.”
Kian looked at Heath, his eyes unfocused but friendly.  “Yeah, I know this guy. How’re you, dude?”
Before Heath could answer, Kian lunged towards the bushes by the side of the house and barfed, making the people in his immediate vicinity scatter.  JC rolled his eyes, apologizing to his guests before helping Kian through his episode, holding him by the arm to make sure he didn’t fall into his own vomit.
When Kian was finished, he stood up, his smile back in place. “Temporary set-back. I’m ready to party again!”
He tried to escape, but JC’s grip was firm on his bicep. “I don’t think so, Dad. How about we take your skinny ass upstairs to bed?”
“Okay, Dad,” Kian agreed pleasantly, surprising both JC and Heath with his easy acceptance of this suggestion.
“Hey, you mind...?” JC asked Heath, gesturing towards Kian apologetically.
“No,” Heath said quickly. He grabbed hold of Kian’s other arm and they pushed their way through the crowds into the house, and then through more crowds up the stairs.
JC dug in Kian’s pocket, and Kian giggled. “Whoa there, Dad. That’s my dick.”
JC ignored him and found the key he was looking for, unlocking the door to Kian’s bedroom.
“Safety precaution,” JC explained to Heath, holding up the key. “We’ve had way too many strangers fuck in our beds over the years.”
JC turned on the light. “You gonna puke again, Kian?”
“90% chance,” Kian answered sunnily, like he was predicting the weather. “One more time.”
Kian started to take his shirt off, but he got stuck and JC had to rescue him. “It’s really weird. He knows these things,” JC said, catching Kian as he fell over trying to take off his jeans.
Heath and JC wrangled Kian into bed, and sure enough, ten seconds after JC had given him a trash can, he puked again.
JC let him rinse out his mouth into the can and took it away, disgusted, tying it up and leaving it in the bathroom. “I’ll let him deal with his own vomit, like an adult.”
Heath gave Kian the glass of water he’d retrieved, and he drank it all down before requesting another. Kian’s eyes were starting to droop, and JC turned to Heath in relief. “We’re on the home stretch. Once he’s down, he’ll be down until tomorrow afternoon, easy.”
When they were certain that Kian was finished being sick, they left him in the darkness of his bedroom with Vega, who had waltzed in and settled again Kian’s side in bed.
“Hey, thanks a lot. I’m sorry you had to witness all that,” JC said. “Once 3am rolls around, things start to go to hell.”
Heath looked at his watch. “Fuck, 3am already?”
Now that JC had mentioned it, Heath noticed that it was a lot quieter downstairs. It was still pretty crowded by a quick peek down the stairs, but the music had been turned down and he could hear Corey and Bobby trying to clear the place out.
“Should we help?” Heath asked, turning back to JC.
“Nah. They’ve got it.” JC ran a hand through his curls and nodded towards his bedroom. “Let me smoke you up. It’s the least I can do.”
“Maybe I better get back. I’m not even sure where my friends are,” Heath replied.
“They left,” Franny cut in, coming up the stairs with a massive dude behind her. “But they told me to tell you to have fun.” She winked and disappeared into her own bedroom, her plans for the rest of the night patently obvious.
“You can stay here. We’ll get you up in time to get back for your flight,” JC said, his eyes darker than they’d been before.
“Guess it’s settled then.” JC grinned and Heath followed him into his bedroom, collapsing onto a bean bag as JC closed the door.
JC rummaged in his closet before pulling out a square tin and sitting down next to Heath. He reached over and grabbed a remote off his bed, turning on his stereo.
“You like these guys too?” Heath asked, leaning back and staring up a the ceiling, humming along to the familiar melody.
“Hell yeah. I saw them at the Viper Room a few months ago, actually.” JC opened the tin and pulled a small bud out of his bag of weed, grinding it up before sprinkling it onto a rolling paper.
Heath switched to staring at JC. His curls hung in front of his face, and he bit his bottom lip in concentration, making it even fuller.
Heath didn’t often go for dudes, but when he did, JC was exactly his type. Cute, and thick as hell. Heath hadn’t been so distracted by Kian’s barfing not to notice the way JC’s jeans stretched over his thighs, or the obscene curve of his ass.
JC rolled the joint carefully, licking a stripe along the top of the rolling paper before sealing it closed.
“Would you like to do the honors?” JC asked, offering Heath the joint and a lighter.
“Absolutely.” Heath took the proffered items and stuck the joint between his lips, lighting up and taking a big, smooth hit.
He held the smoke in his lungs and passed the joint back to JC. He exhaled slowly, watching as JC’s lips wrapped around the joint. Heath shifted in his bean bag, his clothes suddenly too tight.
They smoked, and they talked, about music, and movies, and YouTube. It was easy conversation, their similar personalities and interests meshing with the social lubricant of the alcohol and the weed. They could be friends, for sure.
Or Heath could fuck him into the floor.
JC was sprawled on his bean bag, his legs spread, his tank top riding up his stomach. The joint was almost finished, but JC passed it to him one more time, their fingers brushing together, JC’s eyes heavy-lidded and sultry.
Heath took a final hit and dropped the joint into a half-empty cup behind him. The air was thick with weed and the hazy glow of JC’s lava lamp, and Heath was just high enough to float somewhere in between.
“Should I roll another?” JC asked, his voice low and rough. He sat up slowly, his eyes sliding unabashedly from Heath’s collarbone peeking through the unbuttoned top of his shirt to his cock.
“I’m good.” Heath smoothed his hands down his thighs. “You’re a great host.”
JC smirked. “You think so?”
He got off his bean bag, crawling the few feet to where Heath was lounging. He looked like the perfect little slut, looking up at Heath from in between his legs, stalking forward slowly until his lips were inches from Heath’s.
Heath’s hands gripped JC’s slim hips, and then slid down to palm the ass he had been coveting for the last hour and a half.
It was perfect. It was fat and juicy and the flesh was pliant but firm, even through JC’s jeans. It was the type of ass that turned you into a caveman, and Heath growled, squeezing it through faded denim.
“You want it?” JC asked, his breath ghosting against Heath’s neck. “You can have it.”
Heath gripped JC’s hair, hard, pulling his head back so he was looking at Heath, his eyes blown wide in surprise.
“Clothes off. Now.” The order was sharp and not at all friendly, but Heath suspected that JC was the type who liked to be handled a little rough.
He wasn’t wrong.
JC slid off Heath’s lap, his eyes downcast in submission as he tugged off his clothes. Heath unbuttoned his shirt lazily, watching as JC got his Calvins off and knelt onto the ground, his eyes averted, his cock already half hard and his chest flushed with red.
“Look at me,” Heath said gruffly. JC obeyed, and he watched Heath, suddenly shy, through his lashes as Heath undid his belt buckle and got his jeans open, sliding them down just enough to pull out his dick.
Heath stroked himself easily, the weed and the alcohol ensuring he wouldn’t get off too soon. As his cock fattened up in his hand, thick and red, he could see JC’s nails dig into his thighs, could see him swallow hard, his eyes trained on the movement of Heath’s hand.
“Come suck me.” Heath released his cock and leaned back, tucking a hand under his head.
JC was on him in a second. He closed his eyes, relishing the feeling of those full, wet lips sucking on the tip of his dick, sliding up and down his shaft. He gripped JC’s hair with his free hand, guiding his head up and down, forcing himself deeper down JC’s throat.
“That’s it, take it all,” Heath sighed, burying his other hand in JC’s hair and fucking up into his mouth, balls deep and the kid hadn’t even whined once, was taking it perfectly.
Heath opened his eyes and pulled JC off his dick. His lips were swollen and his chin was covered in spit, and his cock was hard and dripping between his legs.
“You as good at taking dick as you are at sucking it?” Heath asked, thumbing JC’s bottom lip.
JC nodded. “Yes,” he said hoarsely, his voice wrecked from his throat being fucked.
“Then show me.”
Heath pulled his pants further down and kicked them off before getting a hand back on his dick. JC dug in his nightstand and pulled out some lube and a condom, bringing them back Heath like he was a dog retrieving a ball.
He rolled the condom onto Heath’s dick and then uncapped the bottle, drizzling some into his hand and warming it up. Heath hissed as JC got his dick wet, the glide of his hand making his eyes roll back in his head. Christ. He couldn’t even imagine what his ass would feel like.
JC tossed the bottle to the side and turned around so his back was facing Heath. He leaned forward, pressing his chest into the ground and resting on his elbows, his knees bent and ass up and spread. His hole was already wet and stretched. When the fuck had he done that?
JC looked over his shoulder. “I fucked myself earlier today...before the party...”
Heath groaned. “Fuck. You’re a just little cockslut, aren’t you?”
Heath pushed himself off the bean bag and knelt in front of JC’s gorgeous ass, rubbing the tip over his hole until JC was keening.
He slid in slowly, but JC was slick and hot and didn’t need to be delicately handled. He gripped the flesh of his ass, kneading it hard, digging his nails in to the skin. It didn’t take long for him to start fucking JC in earnest, his balls slapping against JC’s ass as he slid in and out.
JC was whining, small, breathy moans punched out of him as Heath fucked him harder and harder. It was without a doubt one of the hottest visuals of his life, that perfect, round ass stuffed full of his dick, cherry red from where Heath had slapped it, hard, making it jiggle so good that he just had to do it again.
JC spread his legs wider, his cock hanging low. Heath knew he was too far gone to even think about getting a hand on himself, so Heath was determined to make him come on just his dick. The kid was so fucking responsive that he didn’t think it would be hard.
Sure enough, when they were both dripping sweat and JC was crying out on every thrust, he felt JC tense around him and dig his nails into the carpet, a gasp ripped from him as he sprayed all over the carpet and his belly. Heath didn’t let up, fucking him through his orgasm until he came hard, spilling inside that tight, wet heat.
When he could think again, he pulled out, standing up on shaky legs. He helped JC to his feet and maneuvered them onto JC’s unmade bed, taking off his shirt before he slid under the covers.
JC was asleep within minutes, and Heath barely remembered to set an alarm on his phone before he was out, his last thought a desperate hope that he could have that ass one more time before he had to leave the next morning.

so.. conspiracy radio
lets call “conspiracy radio” the type of radio show about science, pseudoscience, aliens, monsters, ghosts, the paranormal, and the conspiracies that exist to keep them quiet. a good blend should focus more on the aliens than the cocnspiracies, but they’re in there somewhere.
“Coast to coast AM” invited me on. and a few others. all in the 24 hours from saturday midnight to now.
and before i go on, i want you to know how dear to my heart these shows are.  i listened to them as a teenager, and used to study until 3am when i was an undergrad with them playing in the background. you can’t go on about this topic without mentioning Art Bell. Art was an old radio guy. used to do radio out of the american army bases in japan. then did political call in radio. just an old coot in the radio world. So then one day he stumbles on aliens as a subject, and his ratings shoot through the roof. so he sticks to it, and builds this whole empire on his format. a three or four hour long conversation, in the middle of the night, between him and an expert (an old army man who once saw bigfoot in shackles. a hiker who shot a grey alien with a stun gun and then nursed it back to health. .. whatever.). a different show each night, with almost no continuity. Art’s interviewing skills, and the fact that you can’t think straight at 2am gave these absolutely ridiculous stories endless credulity. He used to run the show by himself in his basement from his house in the middle of the desert. art bell retired. a few times. it’s.. wonderful radio. The whole “welcome to nightvale” is a loving caricature of art’s shows.  anyway, as art retired, other people took his place. some who wanted the conversation to continue, and others who wanted to keep the enormous audience he built: of late night truckers, and security guards, and students, cab drivers and people who just can’t sleep.  This new guy took over. “new.” George Noory has been hosting coast to coast AM for decades. and the show has kept going strong, and includes a lot of the same old guests and topics that Art first brought to prominence.
But george noory isn’t as good as art. he seems to believe, or at least wants the listener to believe in some continuous, consistent creepy universe. And so his interviews always try to fit the zany guests’ theories into a specific worldview. Compared to Art, where anything was possible for 4 hours in the middle of the night, George projects the feeling that things need to fit together. I dont’ like it. it’s too paranoid, and not fun.  Also, his interviewing wasn’t as good. the guests were less.. credulous. they weren’t set loose to ramble properly. Also, he’s political. only a little, but it creeps in. a libertarian philosophy. I don’t want that either. I just want to hear about how some guy ran into a skunk ape while hiking and then he watched it fight a vampire ghost. I just want to hear about how JFK was assassinated because he was half gray alien.  so i stopped listening. I’d like to say “outgrew it,” but Art Bell briefly came out of retirement (on a new internet radio show) and it was as good as ever. He retired again though. I still love hearing weird and creepy stories after the sun goes down. the press release for my TARDIS paper did very well, and i got an invite for a 2 hour slot (from midnight to 2 am) on Coast to Coast AM. oh my gosh i was so excited. It was the saturday night show, and george noory wasn’t doing it. It was a fill in guy.  before i go on, you should know that the interview went fine. It took a little bit to hit my pace, but then i covered most of the points i needed to, and we did an hour of open lines and it was wonderful.  but I was listening before i went on the air. (and not just to this show, but on the other conspiracies shows as well).. and ... they’ve rotted. the’re broken. In this age where there are literally all sorts of wonderful literal conspiracies, I expected to hear them reflected in twisted and juicy ways.  and there is nothing of the sort. no one talking about wikileaks. no one talking about nameless russian operatives dying by the dozens. not even people imagining that china is using UFO technology to pit russia against the USA.. just.. a bunch of people giving trump the benefit of the doubt. giving Russian the benefit of the doubt. it’s a natural extension of the political creep i grew tired of from george noory.  but i’m so disappointed. it used to be so much fun. it used to be so sceptical of power and corruption. so yeah. i dunno, if asked back, if i’ll do any more conspiracy radio. as much as i like talking about science to anyone who will listen, i’m not sure i can condone it, anymore. : (

The Best Fried Chicken Sandwiches In Miami (1)
Personally, we’re always in the mood for a fried chicken sandwich. Wake us up at 3am with a blow horn (please don’t, by the way) and we’ll eat one. Wednesday at 11:36am? Why not. Trapped in an airport for a six-hour layover? We’ll eat three, even if they taste like plastic. Luckily, the ones on this guide taste very good. And they’re all currently available for takeout or outdoor dining.
Sorry—looks like you screwed up that email address

Want to quickly find restaurants on the go? Download The Infatuation app.   The Sandwiches  Tasty Planet Rosie’s $ $ $ $ American ,  Sandwiches  in  Overtown $$$$ 439 NW 4th Ave
Rosie’s is a pop-up that we so badly hope becomes a permanent fixture in the Miami restaurant world. Everything here is good, but especially the Chicky Sandwich. The juicy piece of chicken is fried in a way that produces all those wonderful, crunchy, jagged little pieces of breading. Then it’s coated in buffalo sauce and topped with B&B pickles and a little lemon aioli to balance the whole thing out. There’s also a side of crispy yucca chips. Order this as soon as you can. Then order it again and again, it’s that good. Check out the menu and get one online.
Tasty Planet United States Burger Service $ $ $ $ Burgers  in  Little Haiti $$$$ 8300 NE 2nd Ave
This vendor inside The Citadel specializes in burgers but their fried chicken sandwich is absolutely worth a try. The “Carrier Pigeon” is made from ground chicken and formed into an aesthetically pleasing little round patty. The breading is thin but crispy and there’s a crunchy cabbage situation on top that we approve of.
 Tasty Planet 1-800-Lucky $ $ $ $ Japanese ,  Chinese ,  Ramen ,  Sushi  in  Wynwood $$$$ 250 NW 23rd St Unit 312
Tâm Tâm is a new Vietnamese vendor inside Wynwood’s 1-800-Lucky, and they’ve got a very large fried chicken sandwich you should meet before their residency is up at the end of September. Nothing about this sandwich is subtle. The chicken thigh is twice-fried, with a very thick and crispy breading. Also invited to the party: caramelized fish sauce aioli, pickles, cucumber, and fresh herbs. It requires two hands and all your concentration to eat, but it’s worth the effort. You can order for takeout online or eat outside on 1-800-Lucky’s patio.
 Tasty Planet Over Under $ $ $ $ American ,  Bar Food ,  Burgers  in  Downtown $$$$ 151 E Flagler Street
Over Under is a new spot in Downtown that’s proving to be very good at putting meat between pieces of bread. Their cheeseburger is quite tasty, but so is their fried chicken sandwich. It’s a pretty straightforward version: a boneless chicken thigh polished with hot honey sauce, pickles, lettuce, mayo, and a sesame seed bun. It glistens in the sun and goes well with the frozen piña colada. They have outdoor sidewalk seating and online ordering for takeout.
 Sparky's Roadside BBQ $ $ $ $ BBQ  in  Downtown $$$$ 204 NE 1st St
Sparky’s in Downtown serves a fried chicken sandwich that’s smoked before it’s fried, which gives it a slight barbecue flavor. That’s a good thing, by the way. It comes on a sturdy bun that’s buttered and toasted and you can also add American cheese to the sandwich. You should probably do that. Sparky’s is available for takeout and on most major delivery apps.
 Tasty Planet Boia De $ $ $ $ American ,  Italian  in  Buena Vista $$$$ 5205 NE 2nd Ave
Boia De’s fried chicken sandwich has been one of the all-stars of the “pivot to takeout” era. They used to serve this thing back when the team ran a taco truck in the Design District, and it’s still as good as we remember. Between the crunchy chicken, the creamy avocado, and the refreshing slaw, there’s a lot of contrast going on here. One big thing to note about this dude, though: right now they’re only serving it on Sundays. So set a reminder and be prepared to order online.
 Kush $ $ $ $ Burgers  in  Wynwood $$$$ 2003 N Miami Ave
As difficult as it is to order anything but a burger at Kush, you should make an effort to branch out with their Farmstyle Chicken Sandwich. It is, like everything here, excellent. Great ingredients, perfectly cooked, and crispy enough to hear from a table away. Get the 50/50 fries too, because sweet potato and regular fries can get along. They’re also serving this at Kush by Spillover in Coconut Grove. Both locations are open for outdoor dining and takeout.
 Le Chick $ $ $ $ American  in  Wynwood $$$$ 310 NW 24th St
The Wynwood spot Le Chick is, in fact, pretty good at chicken. They cook it rotisserie style, fried, and in sandwich form with their Fried Chicken Bun. The chicken here is nice and crispy. The bun is squishy, but firm enough to hold the whole thing together. And there’s swiss cheese melted evenly over it all. Our only complaint about this one is the bib lettuce, which gets a little soggy and sad when heated. But it’s pretty easy to just yank off like a tablecloth. Le Chick is open for outdoor dining and takeout.
 Fuku $$$$ 201 SW 2nd Avenue
Fuku is a delivery-only restaurant from the Momofuku team operating out of a few different ghost kitchens around Miami. These are simple, but tasty, chicken sandwiches, served on soft potato buns. There are a couple of simple versions with pretty much just fried dark meat and pickles, and some more elaborate versions - like the chicken, bacon, ranch sandwich. But, because it is delivery-only, we can’t vouch that your sandwich will arrive in pristine condition. Smooshed, cold, or very late sandwiches - it’s all a possibility. But so is a perfectly fine fried chicken sandwich.
 Yardbird Southern Table & Bar $ $ $ $ American ,  Brunch  in  Miami Beach ,  South Beach $$$$ 1600 Lenox Ave
There’s a reason Yardbird is always busy. They’re really good at fried chicken - and who doesn’t like fried chicken? Not you, who has made it this far in a fried chicken sandwich guide. So consider ordering their Nashville hot chicken sandwich if you’re ever in South Beach. (They’re open for outdoor dining right now as well.) It’s big, crunchy, spicy, and will give you an excuse to get a side of mac and cheese.
