on one hand the botw zelink coworkers agenda is kinda funny on the other hand its like. when its taken seriously its so so reductive and i know people play it up because they dont care about zelda whatever but its so reductive to links character too like. yes hes stubborn yes hes reckless yes hes selfless but he's not fucking stupid. he could very well have decided to abandon zelda once it was clear the divine beasts weren't going to help during the calamity and that all hope was lost but instead not only did he stay with her but he did his best to protect her. he let her scream and sob into his arms in the cold rain and mud while the world ended around them. he stood between her and danger until he physically could not stand anymore im sure he KNEW long before he collapsed that it was over but he did not stop trying until he literally died. he died for her. hello. he fucking died for her.
