first kill is so funny like cal told her mom she staked a vampire and then her mom's like "well did she turn to ash?" and cal's like "...no" so her mom's like "....well, then that wasn't a vampire" and that is so fucking funny to me. imagine your kid just stabbed some random girl at a party and left and you're just like "ugh whatever we'll discuss this in the morning"
Calliope: look at her. Being fake gentle and kind. You won't trick me, you absolute garbage of a monster. I bet she's thinking about killing me right now.
Juliette: im gay im gay im gay im gay im gay im gay im gay im gay. oh God oh God send help. Wanna kiss 🥺
netflix can absolutely eat my ass. i'm so fucking tired of them giving sapphic shows a budget of 4 dollars and then them cancelling it because "not enough people finished watching" when the show had 30 MILLION views the first week and stayed top 5 despite huge shows dropping at the same time. fuck netflix and fuck their fake "representation matters" bullshit
My TOP 10 couples of 2022 based on their chemistry.
It's almost the end of this year so it's time for a recap.
This year wasn't very good for me. I don't have strong feelings for any of the couples. I was barely able to pick 10 that I liked. Even my no. 1 this year is weaker than half of the couples from last year's top 10. I hope next year will be better.
Ava & Beatrice (Warrior Nun)
Kit & Jade (Willow)
Bess & Audrey (Snowpiercer)
Zoa & Bel (Bienvenidos a Edén/Welcome to Eden)
Carson & Greta (A League of Their Own)
Alba & Batty (Leopard Skin)
Juliette & Calliope (First Kill)
Frannie & Marguerite (The Confessions of Frannie Langton)
Alma & Sara (Las de la última fila/The Girls at the Back)
one of my favorite things about first kill is how they established that there's apparently a bunch of people in canada who are just cool with having vampires drink their blood at parties and then just never mentioned that again
people are upset about how fast cal and juliette’s relationship progressed, and I don’t completely disagree but you need to realize that these are lesbians. the u-haul joke didn’t stem from nowhere. truly the most realistic element of that entire show is these two teenage gays being like “let’s just run away” after knowing each other for like 4 days.
