Sometimes, when all seems lost, and mistakes were made, and it feels as though life has descended into a pit of endless frowny face blue screens of death, what is needed is a hard restart.

That was how Antwan Hovachelik found himself in a distressingly rustic little chalet on a picturesque lake in northern Québec, plotting his redemption arc.

Here’s the first of 22 chapters of these two, featuring feelings, nature, shenanigans, some spicy times, you know the usual. Except, of course, there’s nothing usual about it at all. You don’t even have to be super familiar with the source media to read it because I planned for this and there’s enough exposition to get you up to speed.

Bethany's reaction to having a penis is so weirdly wholesome though ks

Honestly, this is kind of a characterization moment. Bethany starts out non-maliciously self-absorbed and part of that self-absorption is like... self-love. Bethany's not afraid to love herself and while she reacted badly at first, as she spends more time in Shelby's body she just slips into accepting it as her body and she loves herself so she loves this body! Body positivity queen.

It's been a while since I've seen the third movie but doesn't she have a moment in that when she gets back into Shelby's body and she's so happy and hugs herself and is like "I missed you!"

I love her.

Okay, soo I've been a big fan of the crossover pairing of Antwan from Free guy and Nigel Billingsley from the newer Jumanji films and the fact that they don't really have a ship name yet has been bugging me for a while now. I've been thinking about potential name smushes for them, but if any one can come up with a good one when the last names Hovachelik and Billingsley are involved I'd be kind of amazed 😅 and calling them angel 1) doesn't fit in my head and 2) feels too generic of a word for a ship name. I may have had a revelation the other day, though, when I thought of calling them NPCEO. Thoughts?

As a genderfluid person i absolutely love bethany and i wish there was more fanfiction of them being genderfluid and exploring more into that. I want to see beth go on the internet  and find out what she is, because he misses being professor shelly oberon. She would pass by spencer’s house (or who ever has the game) wondering if they can at least look at the professor and imagine him being him. They also secretly donates to LGBTQIA+ and trans non-profits and later on when she is out of the closet and has accepted the fact that they are in fact genderfluid he uses her social media influence for become a Trans and LGBTQIA+ activist.

I’m sorry can we talk about how fucking dope Rhys’ adventure outfit is for Mr. Nigel Billingsly? He’s got his little name badge, his little scarfie, his hat, his semi fingerless wristlet gloves?! Not to mention the stripey shirt, the vest with its many pockets.

(EDIT: It’s not a vest it’s a jacket with the sleeves ripped off. Amazing.)

Here I am simping for a NPC man who only gets a handful of phrases and a few cut scenes. But I love him. I really really REALLY hope when the next Jumanji rolls around it’s Rhys in the lead roll, an NPC attempting to navigate the real world.
