sunah’s speech to the girls in ep 7 is so interesting because she equates the virtue of being good with rich. bc if you’re rich, you’ll be treated better. it’s why she asks the girls how they can be good and then goes off about doing whatever it takes to claw your way up (being mean) until you get into a position of power (then be good).

which is why she clung to yohan because she recognized a poor child who could be rich, and when yohan finally becomes rich, she lusts after him even more because of that notion of being treated better when rich.

but yohan does not, in fact, treat her better because she’s made it. bc either of them have made it. her childish notions of this logic are the reasons for her downfall, more so than the decisions she ends up making that result in her death.

she realizes she will never have yohan, that logic she clung to so flawed, before meeting her end.

THIS is such a deep insight into his shaping and why he is currently how he is.
