The horizon glittered like a sea of molten gold when you stepped onto the sandy shores of the beach. Seagulls squawked overhead, riding the setting sky like your friends currently in the surf. You smiled to yourself, inhaling the briny air and slipping the shades off your nose and up onto your head. Your sandals hung limp in your hand as grains of sand embedded themselves into the soles of your bare feet while you jogged down the hill toward the bonfire and crowd of people.
The last week of summer before the fall semester brought your friends to convince you to come to their last bonfire at the beach. It wasn't difficult to persuade you.
“Oy, Yn! Head's up!"
Your eyes shot open and your head whipped up. Sandals fell from your hand as they came up to grab the frisbee out of the sky. It was plastic and blue, with scratches engraved into its surface from thorough use.
Hoots of approval erupted from further down the bank. "Nice catch!" Yeonjun praised as he jogged to meet you in the middle. A light blue Hawaiian shirt hung loose off his lean frame, unbuttoned to display the glorious, toned muscles of his chest.
You grinned, handing him the frisbee before picking your sandals back up. The two of you walked together back towards the group. "Thanks. How're you, Jun?"
He pulled you into a brief, yet affectionate side hug. "I'm great! You?"
"Same here." You had been itching for an outing—and dreading the first day back to class—so this would be good for you. “Who's here today?”
“Ah, y'know, the usuals.” He grinned at you then, sending you a teasing wink. “Your lover boy's here for sure. He wouldn't miss this for the world.”
Your skin warmed at the playful comment and you were failing to pretend it was just because it was hot out here. You rolled your eyes. “He is not my lover boy.”
“Based on the fact you knew who I was talking about though,” he drawled with a singsong tone. He let out a loud guffaw at your less than gruntled expression. “You know, he ditched his frat's annual pool party to be here.”
“That's his prerogative—I don't know how that relates to me,” you said with your palms raised up helplessly.
As you turned around to walk in front of him, Yeonjun wrinkled his nose with a grin. “It's cute when you're in denial.”
You scoffed, backpedaling in the opposite direction to where Changbin was hollering for him to hurry up with the frisbee. “Denial, as if.”
“Whatever you say, Cher,” he snickered, then raised his hand up in goodbye to jog across the sands to the game of frisbee.
You huffed a laugh and shook your head. The sun glared in your eyes as you trudged through the sand toward the sounds of your other friends hollering at you from the barbeque and speaker system set up. You flicked your shades back over your eyes, an easy smile coming to your face. “Hi everyone! Smells delicious over here.”
Chan was stationed at the small, portable barbeque with a bottle of beer in his hand. He smiled as you neared, digging his hand into the cooler beside him to pass you a fresh bottle of hard lemonade. “You're right on time, Yn. Dinner is almost ready.”
“I do believe I have impeccable timing,” you mused, thanking him while accepting the bottle. You dropped your sandals to the sand by your feet so you could free your hands and twist the bottle cap off.
“So glad you could make it, Yn!” Lia chimed in from her spot beneath the beach tent. She and Chaeryeong were lying on their stomachs with books splayed out before them for a light beach read.
“Hey guys! Glad I could make it, too—”
“Oh my god, is that Yn Ln?”
Your head whipped around in the direction of the new voice, and you watched as Felix trudged up the sandy bank with his surfboard under his arm, his free hand brushing back his strands of damp hair.
“Felix Lee, you've been chickening out on me all summer.”
He gave a lazy smile back at you as the two of you clasped hands in greeting, his being cold and wet from the waves and yours dry and gritty with sand. “You say that like you haven't been working all summer. Anyways, there's someone who's been dying to see you even more than me.”
You could spot the impish mischief in the blond's eyes from a mile away. “I feel like everyone's been telling me the same thing, but I haven't seen Wooyoung anywhere.”
“First time she says my name, and it's not even to my face,” came a dramatic sigh from somewhere behind you.
The organ in your chest kicked into action and you turned to face the newcomer bounding toward the group from up the hill where the parking lot was. He was clad in a pair of board shorts and a tank top, his skin glowing in the golden afternoon light. “Speak of the Devil,” you jested, poking your tongue into your cheek as you smiled.
Jung Wooyoung peered at you from over the rim of his sunglasses as they slipped down the slope of his nose, then pushed them up to nestle in his locks of dark brown hair. “That nickname's a new one.”
“It's an expression, Jung,” you said, eyebrow arched.
He gave yet another melodramatic sigh. “And she's back to the last name-calling. Would it kill you to try a 'sweetheart’ or a 'darling’ one of these days?”
“I think Yn would rather go into cardiac arrest before calling you by your first name, mate,” Felix gave a warm laugh as he sidled up beside his friend, propping his arm up onto Wooyoung's shoulder.
You lifted your bottle of lemonade in salute. “Lix, you are not wrong. Where've you been anyways, Jung?”
“Did you hear that? She cares about my whereabouts,” he gasped in giddy delight, palm over his mouth as if he and Felix were co conspirators. “I'll have you know, Ln, that Hyunjin and I were scouting for ice cream carts, but he had a phone call to take so I came back here.”
You gave a pleasant hum, knocking back a sip of the spiked lemonade. “An ice cream cart? A man after my own heart.”
“Took you that long to notice?”
You weren't given much time to ponder on that statement before everyone's attention turned to Chan, who announced that it was finally time to eat. By some miraculous force of nature, Hyunjin heard Chan's call, too, and came barreling down the hill toward base camp a few moments later. The frisbee was laid to rest, the books were marked for later, and the bonfire was set ablaze.
With delicious eats and favored company, the lot of you gathered around with one another to have dinner and watch the sun slowly sink into the horizon line. It was the perfect cap to a long and warm summer.
A few hours later, when the sun had only just disappeared from view to leave the sky a lingering shade of hazy orange, you settled beside Lia, Chaeryeong, and Yeonjun on one side of the fire pit while Chan sat on his stool with a ukulele he kept in his backseat. (You were pretty sure that ukulele lived in his backseat at this rate. Once, you saw him buckle the thing with its own seatbelt. To each their own, you supposed.)
“So Wooyoung-ah,” drawled Changbin from his perch beside Hyunjin, as the two of them plucked chips out of the same bag, “did Hongjoong say if movie night was confirmed for next Friday?”
All eyes flickered over to Wooyoung expectantly, and you found yourself meeting his gaze as his own flitted from your eyes and back to Changbin. “I’m pretty sure we're still on for Friday, yeah. All of you better be there,” he said pointedly, his finger drawing over the group.
“What time is it again?” Yeonjun asked as he shoved a marshmallow into his cheek. You smiled to yourself and poked at it, making him send an adorable scowl your way.
Wooyoung pursed his lips. “Ah… it should start around nine o'clock. But make sure you guys text me first so I can let you in. Sometimes the pledges don't care to ask before collecting fees at the door.”
Nods and murmurs of agreement resounded from around the group. Each one of you had your own experience with getting hassled for entry fee at the ATZ fraternity door before Wooyoung or one of his frat brothers came to collect you. You remembered Felix once joking about having all of your names on a list or something.
“Ln, you're coming, aren't you?” Wooyoung nodded at you from across the bonfire. He leaned his elbows onto his knees, his fine features illuminated by the fires.
Your pulse skipped. “Hm? Oh, uhm, yeah I'm pretty sure.”
A smile curled onto his lips. “Good.”
From beside you, Yeonjun lightly smacked the back of his hand against your shoulder. “Hey, you should totally invite that guy from our Econ class—y’know from last quarter—?”
Your eyebrows creased. “Mark?”
“Who's Mark?” The question Wooyoung posed was innocent, but you couldn't help hyperfixate on the way he tilted his head and pressed his lips together.
And for some reason, you wanted to clear this up. “Mark from Econ,” you said. “He, Jun, and I used to sit with each other during class. I dunno if he'd wanna come with…” You somewhat kept in touch with Mark over the summer, but it wasn't like the two of you hung out solo or anything.
Yeonjun shoved another marshmallow into his mouth, but still spoke through it, “Mawk's cool doe. I fink he iked you.”
“Ooh, someone had a crush on you, Yn?” Hyunjin snickered.
You wrinkled your nose at him. “He did not have a crush on me; he was just nice.”
“You should invite him anyway!” Chaeryeong piped up as she leaned over you and Lia to steal a marshmallow from Yeonjun's bag. The owner of said bag watched the stolen marshmallow get swallowed whole with wide eyes. “More the merrier.”
“As long as Woo lets him in,” Felix muttered into his plastic cup so his words were slightly muffled. You didn't hear what he said, but you saw Wooyoung whack him and induce a Felix-standard fairy giggle.
You reached into Yeonjun's marshmallow bag, pretending he wasn't gawking at you with even wider eyes to guilt you into not taking his precious. “Okay, I will ask, but no promises.”
Tumblr media
“Who the fuck is Mark from Econ?”
San barely glanced up from what he was reading and he flipped the page to the tune of Wooyoung's rapid pacing of their shared room. “He's from Econ, I'm guessing.”
Wooyoung stopped in the middle of the open space between their beds, hands braced on their hips. He had just gotten home from the bonfire after having dropped off Hyunjin, Yeonjun, and Changbin at their apartment. When he'd arrived home to the ATZ fraternity on Greek Row, he had not been surprised to find nearly everyone still awake, even at one in the morning.
San, as always, had his nose buried in a bout of nightly reading. He claimed it helped him sleep better, but how could it if he sometimes stayed up until five in the morning because he was so invested?
“That's very helpful, thanks,” Wooyoung deadpanned.
His friend spared him a glance from over the book's edge. Then after one peak at his sorry state, San sighed and stuck an old receipt into the book to mark it for later. “Did they mention a last name? Mark who?”
Wooyoung waved his hand around. “Agh, I dunno. Yeonjun said in the car ride home something about a Mark Lee…”
San blinked, head tilting to the side in thought. “Mark Lee? Like the Mark Lee from NCT down the street?”
For a moment, Wooyoung only stared with furrowed brows, allowing the information presented to process through his brain. When it hit him, it was clear as day. He groaned, dragging his palms down his face as he plopped down on the edge of his bed. “We can't let him into Friday's movie night, Sannie.”
“And why not? He's a nice dude.”
“That is exactly why we can't let him in!” At the way San's face arranged itself into the epitome of confusion, Wooyoung waved his hands around in a manic craze. “If he gets cozy with Yn, my chances are ruined.”
San gave up; he picked up his book again. “Sounds like a skill issue.”
“Movie night? Dark setting? Sharing blankets? Fairy lights overhead?” Wooyoung flopped onto his back and glared at the ceiling. It was the perfect way to get closer to you if he could somehow make it not weird since you were almost always with one of your other friends. This could arguably be his big breakthrough with you; it had all of the makings of a romantic night… as long as everything went right.
He just needed to be absolutely sure that your feelings and his feelings were on the same page.
San sighed, the book flopping onto his lap. “Why can't you just—I don't know—insert yourself?” He made a motion with his arm, his dimples digging into his cheeks as he pressed his lips together in a deadpan, arm jutting straightforward. “Insert. Like… insert.”
Wooyoung craned his head up from his position. “Like—insert?”
“Insert,” San affirmed. “She sits down, and you sit down next to her before anyone else can. Easy.”
“So you want me to be a parasite?”
San scoffed and fixed Wooyoung with a pointed look. “If you're not going to tell her to her face that you like her—”
“Parasitism, it is!”
As the days grew closer to the ATZ frat's annual fall movie night, you had to admit that you might have been severely procrastinating on extending an invitation to Mark. Mark was, by all counts, a nice guy. He was a good guy, in fact. But it wasn't like the two of you were buddy-buddy with each other, as Yeonjun made it sound like to everyone else. It was the equivalent of your mom asking you to invite your neighbor to your birthday party—they were nice enough, but you weren't close enough to ensure this wouldn't be awkward.
Plus, you couldn't get this sticky feeling out of the back of your mind about Yeonjun claiming Mark liked you. There was no problem, per se, with a guy liking you. It was just that… you weren't interested in him like that. You also didn't want other people thinking that you were interested in him either, and getting the wrong idea.
You tried to convince yourself that you weren't interested in anyone at the moment, but you knew, deep in your heart of hearts, that wasn't true. You just didn't want to admit it. (A tragedy, indeed.)
When the first Friday night of the university term rolled around, you and your friends pulled up outside the ATZ frat house without Mark Lee. You'd admitted to them that it was awkward, so the subject was easily brushed away. There was nothing they could do about it now, anyway.
When they strolled up to the entryway, Yeonjun told the pledges at the front that they were with Wooyoung. As per protocol, they forced you all to wait outside until Wooyoung could get there from wherever he was within the house. You could hear the music thumping from the backyard, along with chatter and laughter, all from people waiting for the movie night to start.
You shivered as you hugged your arms around your body, a cool autumn breeze blowing past. “Damn, I should've brought a jacket,” you laughed, hopping around from foot to foot to stay warm. Or maybe you should've worn a sweater rather than a T-shirt over your pajama shorts.
Lia perked up. “Oh! I think I have o—”
Felix's eyes widened as he interjected, “No, you don't!”
Everyone passed Felix a strange look, especially you and Lia. Curiously, you watched as Felix seemingly communicated with Lia in silent, urgent facial expressions before smiling at you like his regular, ray-of-sunshine self.
You blinked. What in the world…?
Lia turned back toward you with an apologetic wince on her face. “I think I took my jacket out of the backseat before I left the house. Sorry, Yn.”
“Oh, that's okay,” you assured her. “I'll, uh, probably steal Chan's blanket or something once we get settled.”
Wooyoung appeared at the door moments later, a lollipop stick between his teeth and a cozy dark blue hoodie on his frame. Like many others here tonight, he was in a pair of pajama pants and fluffy slippers. “Hey guys! Come on in.”
Thankful for the excellent timing, you all slipped inside the front doors of the frat to get to the backyard. The movie night was usually held in the backyard space just because it could hold more people. The movie was then projected against the back of the house with an old projector that was apparently passed down from generation to generation of the frat. There was oftentimes a table to the side that was stocked with snacks and booze for all those attending.
Wooyoung led the group of you out into the backyard, specifically to a spot with a decent view, already laid out with picnic blankets and regular blankets. “Tada!” He exclaimed with jazz hands, catching the amused gaze of others nearby. “I reserved a spot for all of us!”
“Without permission!” Somebody—you recognized Yunho's teasing grin from over by the snack table—yelled.
“Seonghwa hyung said I could!” Wooyoung shot back in proper little sibling fashion. He stuck one of his hands into his pockets and took his lollipop out. “Anyways, help yourselves!”
“This is really cool of you, dude,” Changbin said as he bumped Wooyoung's fist and settled on one corner of the setup.
Chan hobbled over toward Changbin. “Yeah, man. We really appreciate it.”
You murmured your own thanks to Wooyoung as you passed by him to decide on where to sit.
His eyes flickered over your form, noting the way you used your palms to keep your arms warm. “Hey, Ln.”
“Jung,” you mused back.
“You didn't bring a jacket?” He asked incredulously. “It's gonna get colder tonight.”
Sheepishness washed over you and you scratched your head with an embarrassed smile. “I'll be fine under the blankets.”
He shook his head, dissatisfaction clear on his face, as he stuck his lollipop back into his mouth and began shouldering off his jacket.
Your eyes widened when you realized what he was doing. “Hey, wait—I’ll be fine—”
Wooyoung held out the jacket to you, eyebrows lifting in silent communication. 'Put it on.’
You pursed your lips and considered it for a moment. You knew that he was right and it was going to get colder later tonight. You could only bring the blanket up so far… Slowly, you slipped into it with his help, and your upper body was immediately grateful for the warmth.
Wooyoung spun you around to face him again, swiftly reaching for the zipper at the bottom to zip you up.
“Oh, you don't have to—” You shut up with one look from him. You could feel your skin begin to warm, not just because of the residual heat from Wooyoung's body heat on the jacket. You weren't exactly used to this, but you also weren't going to complain. This article of clothing smelled sinfully good—was that his cologne or how he always smelled?
When you were all zipped up, his lips pressed into a content smile. “I'm gonna go grab another jacket. I'll be right back,” he said, throwing a thumb back in the direction of the house.
Based on the fact he was only wearing a tank top underneath the jacket you now wore, you nodded vigorously. “Yeah, of course,” you stammered. “Thanks.”
His smile widened. “No problem, Yn. You look good in it.”
You didn't get another word in because he was darting across the backyard and disappearing inside the house before you could. You were sure you looked as flustered as you felt, and you slowly sank onto the blanket set up beside Chaeryeong and Lia.
From down the line, you could feel your friends’ eyes and wagging brows.
“Don't say anything,” you said to them, pulling your knees to your chest and pretending you weren't in heaven from how nice the jacket felt and smelled. (Oh god, were you being weird about this?)
A snort from Hyunjin.
Felix giggled. “Not a single word.”
By the time Wooyoung returned, Hongjoong was beginning to fire up the movie of choice tonight (Parasite—how fitting) and the backyard had been substantially populated.
Though there was no Mark Lee tonight to be a paradise about, Wooyoung settled on the other side of Chaeryeong who was right beside you. There was a bucket of popcorn per every three or so of you. You dipped into the bucket closest to you, which was the one in front of Chaeryeong.
At some point during the movie, Chaeryeong raised her head from where she was resting against your shoulder and searched the area around you. “Hey,” she whispered to you, “my friend from the Delta sorority is over there and I'm gonna go say hi.”
You nodded. “Sounds good.”
As she clambered to her feet, you met Wooyoung's eyes from her other side. He had tugged his own hood over his head, so only his bangs hung out of it. He nodded toward Chaeryeong in question: ‘Where’s she going?’
“Just a friend,” you answered quietly.
From your other side, you heard Lia make a small gasping sound. “Ooh, I'm gonna say hi, too!”
When both of them had cleared out, you craned your head around to see if you recognized the Delta they went to greet. You did not, and so you stayed put.
It didn't take long for you to realize that you were pretty sure Lia and Chaeryeong were over there for much more than a hello, which was completely fine—you were simply going to hog all of their blanket space—
A throat cleared on your left side, and you watched Wooyoung take the shared popcorn bucket and scoot over into where Chaeryeong was sitting next to you. “So we can reach easier,” he reasoned, shoveling a handful of buttered kernels into his mouth.
You couldn't and didn't argue with that. Though, you were unsure of how fast your heart was beating now that you and he were shoulder to shoulder, leg to leg.
But you turned your attention back to the movie because obviously there was nothing wrong with this. There was absolutely nothing about sitting this close to Wooyoung that was making you flustered—
You jolted when your hand touched his in the popcorn bucket, both of you having blindly reached in.
Your eyes met in the dark again, and you hoped he couldn't see just how affected you were by the touch. “Sorry,” you whispered, withdrawing your hand swiftly.
“No, it's okay,” he murmured back, a small lift in the corner of his lips. “Nothing to be sorry about.”
When the movie reached its inevitable conclusion, it was nearing midnight. Though the projector was turned off, there were plenty of people still lingering to chat and drink. You wiped your hands on a napkin and smeared on a dollop of hand sanitizer that Chan usually kept in his pocket. (The crazy man was always prepared.)
Lia and Chaeryeong eventually came back to the group, but you and Wooyoung scooted over so they could sit next to each other on your right. Your arm was still pressed to his arm, and you still kept his jacket on. It had done a brilliant job at keeping you warm tonight; you were dreading parting with it.
“Can we help you guys clean up or anything?” You asked him as you passed him Chan's bottle of hand sanitizer to use.
He hummed, “Uh, I think we should be okay. We'll probably just end up leaving half of it out to clean up in the morning anyway.”
You nodded, taking the hand sanitizer back from him so you could pass it down the assembly line to Chan.
“Oh, by the way,” Wooyoung piped up. “Whatever happened to that Mark guy you were gonna invite?”
You paused, cupping the back of your neck. “Ah… yeah, I didn't actually invite him,” you admitted. “I just thought it would be awkward 'cause we're not really that close.”
He bobbed his head in understanding. “I see, I see. So what Yeonjun said about him…?”
“Your first mistake was listening to Yeonjun.”
Two people down, you heard a squawk of indignation. “Hey! I heard that!”
A chuckle rang out amongst your group. Changbin and Chan's end of the blanket mass suddenly began standing up, the former of which was propping up a half-conscious Felix, citing needs to get the blond to bed. The rest of you wholeheartedly agreed and joined them, empty popcorn buckets in hand to deposit back at the snack table.
As soon as your bare legs hit the cold night air, you gazed forlornly at the blanket you'd been using before. “Jung, let me give you back your jacket,” you said, catching his attention before he wandered off.
But instead of waiting for you to take off the garment, he placed a hand over yours to stop you from unzipping it. “Keep it,” he said.
“Keep it?” You parroted back dumbly.
He broke into a smile. “Yeah, it'll keep you warm until you get home.”
For a moment, you could only stare. Was he always this pretty? Or was it just the fairy lights that were turned on overhead? You swallowed, your lips curling into a small smile back. “Oh okay—thanks. I'll get it back to you as soon as possible.”
“Whatever you say,” he chuckled and reached over to pat your head. The action made a jolt of warmth run down your spine from your head to your toes. Maybe you were just tired.

Saturday night, you found yourself jostling around in the crowd of all the other late night snackers at the fast food chain a few blocks from the stadium. The first college football game of the season had just ended, and all of your friends who had gone agreed to get a bite to eat afterward. It seemed, however, that nearly everyone else at the game had the same idea.
The establishment was packed to the brim, at least the ordering area was. Your friends had gone outside to score one of the picnic benches for your group, while you, Changbin, and Felix were stuck here to order. (It was all because the three of you sorely lost a game of rock, paper, scissors, and now your wallet would pay, quite literally.) Servers behind the counter hollered out order numbers, and plastic trays of burgers, fries, milkshakes, and grease passed hands.
Your mouth was already watering; cheering and screaming for three hours was a good way to make yourself famished. “Do we have everyone's orders?” You asked your friends, sticking your head in the open space between their shoulders.
Changbin flashed you the group text. “If it's not here, they're starving.”
“Amen to that,” Felix grunted, shaking his bangs out of his eyes and scrolling through his social media fees. “I think Hyunjin and Yeonjun purposely ordered the triple cheeseburger and loaded fries to break our banks.”
“We need to watch that WikiHow video on winning rock, paper, scissors,” you said. The three of you sighed altogether—next time, you wouldn't rely on just luck to get you through something so high stakes.
“You guys look like we just lost the actual game,” mused a familiar voice behind you.
Wooyoung appeared at your side, elbow propped onto your shoulder, accompanied by a couple of his frat brothers, San and Jongho. Wooyoung had a university branded cap over his head with a pair of cherry red heart glasses seated up on the bill, a bit of school spirit in the form of black and red. “I see you lost rock, paper, scissors, Ln.”
You scowled. Of course he knew how you ended up here. After all, he was subjected to it whenever he hung out with your group of friends. “Do you wanna take over my share of the bill, Jung?”
“Do I get something in return?”
“I don't know, your jacket?”
He grinned. “Oh, so you weren't planning on just giving it back to me?”
“I will gladly keep it if you don't want it. She's in the dryer right now,” you shot back. At some point, your heart had kicked up in your chest again, perhaps at the proximity of Wooyoung to you. There wasn't much space in here as it was.
The line scooted up about two centimeters, and Wooyoung's eyebrows shot up in amusement. “You’re washing it after wearing it once? Or maybe you've been wearing it for the past twelve hours and you're just not telling me.”
You ignored the warmth creeping up your neck. “It's called being courteous.”
“It's called wasting water,” he teased, the elbow on your shoulder shifting to an arm slung around both of your shoulders.
“Oh please. It's being washed with the rest of my clothes!” You exclaimed in your defense as you grew more flustered.
Something giddy lit up on his face as the group of you moved up closer to the register. “So that jacket's gonna smell like you? I might not ever wash it again, Ln.”
It was an unholy amount of time later that you, your friends, and the frat trio finally made it out of the stuffy fast food restaurant with your massive order. Instead of a picnic bench, however, it seemed that both your friends and Wooyoung's were exiled to the curb by the street. The sight was rather laughable—around fifteen or so people seated on the firelane like a line of abandoned ducklings.
Everyone practically swarmed the to-go bags that you and your friends deposited in the grass. You picked up one of the cartons of fries for yourself, standing just outside the circle that had formed.
Mingi was recalling one of the plays from tonight's game with vivid acting when you heard your name being called from down the road.
Curious, your eyes tracked the sound, only to see a group of fraternity guys making their way towards you from the direction of Greek Row. Among them, it was Mark Lee that you recognized first in a red bomber jacket and backwards cap. His cheeks were flushed and eyes twinkled like a pair of diamond earrings.
“YN LN! IS THAT YOU?” He giggled, and you just knew that the poor guy was drunk off his face.
One of his friends with a bunny-looking face grappled onto his arm with a groan. “Sorry! He was double-dared to take one too many shots by this bastard,” he said when they neared and cut a glare to one of the tall boys behind him. Said tall boy whistled, pretending not to hear him.
Yunho cupped his hands around his mouth and gave a loud holler. “Aye, N-City! Jungwoo, where the hell have you been, man?"
“It’s called the engineering program, bro,” the one you assumed to be Jungwoo grumbled. He hobbled over to where Yunho was seated in the circle and knocked his fist against the latter's. “Oh my god, can I steal a fry? That line over there looks awful.”
Mingi lifted his tray of fries up for Jungwoo to pluck a few.
Mark, with the supervision of his bunny friend, scuttled over toward you. “Fries sound so good, dude. Like bro. BRO. I am so hungry.” He giggled again as you extended your fries out to him in amusement. “Thanks, Yn. Do I still owe you for coffee that one time?” He slurred, shoving the slices of potato into his mouth.
You chuckled, offering his friend some fries, but was quietly rejected. “Coffee? That was like, once, Mark. Don't worry about it.”
“I know, but like—like, I keep thinking about it, y'know,” he confessed. In the streetlight, you could see his cherry red cheekbones… almost the color of Wooyoung's glas—what. Where did that thought come from?
Absent-mindedly, your eyes flickered across the circle to where you knew Wooyoung was seated with his brothers. To your surprise, you found him already staring your way.
“—it’d be cool to get coffee again sometime, and be friends! I almost took the next econ class in the series 'cause of you.”
“Oh, really?” You asked, forcing yourself back to the people in front of you and being unable to suppress a giggle. You were touched by the sentiment, and frankly, relieved to hear that you and he were pretty much on the same page about being friends. “The next class in the series is kind of ass though, so I'm glad you aren't gonna have to suffer through it.”
“Aw, but we're all in this together!” He chirped.
His friend gave Mark a small pat on his arm. “We should get a move on before the crowds get worse.”
Mark's eyes widened and he gasped. “You're right, hyung!”
“See you, guys,” you said with a small wave. The two boys threw a similarly warm goodbye to you as they slipped past you and toward the jam-packed fast food joint you had braved just earlier.
Across the wide social circle, Wooyoung couldn't hear exactly what yours and Mark's conversation entailed because of all the chatter. Sue him for being caught staring at you, but he couldn't keep his eyes off you, as per usual. There was a familiar pang in his chest as he watched you bid Mark and Doyoung from the NCT fraternity goodbye, and he mindlessly finished off the tray of fries in front of him.
Although you technically implied to him last night that there was nothing between you and Mark, there was undoubtedly a part of him that still felt jittery at the thought.
There was a nudge against his arm. “Glare even harder, and Mark might wake up with a pair of holes in the back of his head.”
Wooyoung moved his scowl to San beside him, a snicker falling from his best friend's mouth. “I'm not glaring,” Wooyoung protested and reached for a napkin in the middle of the circle.
“Oh, right,” San drawled, “you're staring at Yn.”
“Yes, and?” He shot back. “What'd'you think they were talking about?” He could practically hear the sound of your giggles in his ears after Mark said something. Wooyoung didn't like the way that made his stomach churn—the fact that this other guy was making you laugh. Did he make you laugh like that? Did you look that radiant when you were with him? God, why did you have to be so gobsmackingly gorgeou—
San considered him for a moment as he chewed on the bite of his burger. “Why don't you ask her yourself?” He muttered with a vague gesture of his aioli-covered fingers, “I dunno, go offer to drive her home or something.”
“That's the first good idea I've heard all night.” Wooyoung hopped to his feet, a misshapen plan (of sorts) manifesting in his head. Hopefully it would work out better than the movie night one. (But by some metrics, he could consider movie night a success…)
San exhaled under his breath as his friend went to go find a trash can first. “Can't believe he actually went with that,” he said with a shake of his head. He could only hope now that his friend would finally put himself out of his misery.
Having finished your post-game snack, drowsiness was slowly seeping into your joints and the corners of your eyes. It was bound to be nearing midnight at this time, and with all of the excitement within the past two days, you were about ready to head back.
You swept your eyes over the group to gauge if any of your other friends looked about ready to go home, too, when you felt someone tap your shoulder.
“Can I give you a lift home?” Wooyoung asked as he stood there, cap and glasses hanging from his hand while the other carded through his hair.
Well. “It's like you read my mind, Jung,” you mused. “Do you and your brothers not usually carpool though?”
“Eh, Hongjoong hyung brought the minivan.”
You didn't know why that comment made you laugh—perhaps it was the image of a bunch of ATZ frat members shoved into a soccer mom minivan with Hongjoong at its helm—but a laugh most definitely tumbled from your lips. The sound and sight reflected in Wooyoung's expression, a boyish grin coming to his face and reaching his eyes. “Alright, fine. As long as by taking me home, you aren't abandoning them on the streets.”
The two of you began walking side by side to where he would lead you back toward wherever his car was parked. “Nah,” he reassured you with a shake of his head. He took his cherry heart glasses and slid them up into his hair. “A nice walk home might keep them humble, y'know?”
“And who's to say you don't need humbling, Jung?” You joked.
A smirk curled up on his mouth like a cat's tail. “What? Are you going to humble me, Ln?”
You gave a nonchalant shrug to cover up the rapid pulse hammering away in your veins. “I could finesse your keys, you never know.”
He motioned to the left where his sedan was parked along the side of the street. “I'll have you know that you already have one of my keys,” he said as he rounded his car to reach the driver's seat.
You crinkled your brows together, your hand lingering on the door to the passenger's seat as he fished his keys out to unlock the car. “What key?”
“The key to my heart,” he winked, smile widening.
You glanced away, tongue jamming into your cheek to suppress your flustered smile, but by the sounds of Wooyoung's glee from the other side of the car, you were unsuccessful. “You tell that to all the girls?” You finally said when the car chirped and you slipped into the passenger's seat.
Your car doors slammed in tandem.
“Nope, that one's just for you,” he said, tossing his hat in the back and starting the engine.
The fluttery feeling in your chest was making it difficult for you to sit still. If you were so enraptured by his scent clinging to the fabric of his jacket, then his car must have been level two. Your body melted into the car seat, and you turned your head to watch the world pass through the window with a content expression on your face.
There had been something gnawing at you for a while now. You knew Wooyoung boasted a rather flirty personality; he had always been pretty outgoing and teasing ever since you met. There were so many signs that pointed to him liking you more than just a friend, but you didn't want to jump to conclusions. (Denial? What was that?)
Was this different from when Yeonjun suggested that Mark liked you? Well, yes. This was different because you… it was different because this was Wooyoung, not Mark. It was different because you were suddenly marinating on the idea of him liking you, and not dismissing it like you had with Mark.
You were growing giddy at the idea, in fact. And maybe that made you nervous.
A thought appeared in your head. “Oh, I guess it's a good thing you're taking me home, because now I can give you back your jacket.” For a moment, you deeply considered casually “forgetting” to return the garment, but your integrity won out.
You saw him glance over at you before returning his eyes to the road. “Right, right. Good idea,” he murmured. He ran his teeth over his bottom lip then. “Hey, uhm, weird question.”
“Uh oh,” you joked.
He chuckled. “Yah, it's not an 'uh oh!’ I was just wondering what Mark came to talk to you about.”
Oh. That wasn't exactly what you had in mind when he said he had a weird question.
Your eyes flickered over to him for a second. “You seem awfully interested in me and Mark,” you drawled, uncertain of where this was going.
“I mean—I know you said last night that you guys aren't that close,” he supplemented, tongue swiping over his lip as he turned the corner onto your street, “but he seemed pretty friendly tonight.”
“Mark’s always friendly,” you pointed out. Part of it was just so you could prod a little and figure out why Wooyoung was pursuing this.
“You're not wrong.”
Your head tilted to the side. “So?”
“So?”
You let out a small laugh. “Hey, Jung, what's going on? You're usually not so antsy about these things, especially not with me.” You chewed on the inside of your cheek and your fingers drummed mindlessly against your thigh in anticipation.
Wooyoung glanced over at you again, his lips pressing together. He was entering your apartment complex street now and carefully pulled up along the curb outside. “I would argue that it's the complete opposite.”
“Huh?”
“You can't possibly think that this whole time I haven't been head over heels for you?” He blurted.
Even if the car had stopped, your heart rate most definitely hadn't.
At your loss for words, he killed the engine. “Like, you think I stare at you for fun? No, actually, I stare at you because I'm literally just so attracted to you, it's survival.”
You sucked in a breath. “Jung…”
“And you know, I try to be as obvious as I can, but maybe I'm not? And I'm—I’m trying to be as loud about my feelings as possible,” he continued on, adding in an accompaniment of sweeping hand gestures. “Without actually admitting to my feelings, as stupid as it sounds.”
“Jung. Jung, wait—”
“This wasn't supposed to turn into a ramble, but what I'm trying to say is—”
“Wooyoung.”
He screeched to a halt, eyes widened as if you'd just grown two heads.
Oh, you were so endeared by this man. In this snapshot of time, there was nothing other than utter adoration in your heart for him. “You were probably being very loud, but I'm also hard of hearing sometimes.”
“Extremely,” he agreed with his mouth pressed into a line.
“Hey!”
He broke into a grin that was soft at the corners and tender at the eyes. “Just so you know, I don't treat anyone else like you. You're probably the only person I will ever address by their last name as a term of endearment.”
You laughed, skin warming to the touch. “I'll admit—same here.” A jolt of electricity warmed down your spine at the admission.
“I can't persuade you to even try a 'honey’ or a ‘baby?’ Not even a 'sweetie pie?’”
You rolled your eyes playfully. “Maybe you'll unlock some of them as time goes on. It has to feel right.”
He leaned forward onto the center console, a small, happy sigh falling from his mouth. “Okay,” he said quietly. “I can deal with that.”
In reply, you twisted around in your seat to face him, your head leaned against the car seat. “Just so we're clear though…”
“I like you—I do.”
“Good.” Your lips curled into a smile. “I like you, too.”
In the low light of the car, the sky darkened and the only light coming from the streetlight a few cars away, you and Wooyoung shared a soft moment together. The thing that had been needling at the back of your mind was finally subsiding.
Swallowing, you reached forward to brush a strand of hair out of his eyes, and his eyes seemed to shudder. “Yeonjun once called you my lover boy.”
“I'm pretty sure all of our friends knew how I felt,” he snorted.
You made a small gesture with your shoulder, wincing. “Except for me?”
“Except for you,” he sighed jokingly. “Utter pain. But you know what?”
“What's that?”
“I think I like being your lover boy.”
You slowly nodded. “It has a nice ring to it.” You couldn't help another smile as you rolled it over and over in your mind. Your lover boy, your lover boy, your lover boy… “My lover boy.”
Wooyoung pressed his palms together like he was praying, his hands touching his lips. “Give me the strength—I can't not kiss you after hearing that come out of your mouth.”
Your heart gave an aggressive palpitation. “Well… I wouldn't be opposed.”
“Hey, lover girl,” he said, mouth split open with a pretty grin, “can I kiss you?”
How could you refuse?
He leaned forward and cradled one side of your face with one hand so he could press his lips against your own. If there was any doubt left in your mind about how you felt for him, it was all dashed away once he kissed you.
When your eyes fluttered open, you met his gaze.
“I think,” he murmured, thumb drawing over your bottom lip, “I just fell for you all over again.
God, how could you compete with that line? You ducked your head, unabashedly flustered. He only cooed at your reaction and came forward to smack a long kiss to your cheek.
When it was determined that you would finally head up to your apartment for the evening, you reluctantly clambered out of his vehicle. He rolled down his window so he could drape himself out of it like a damsel in a tower, his eyes shaped like hearts.
“Is it safe to say that I can keep your jacket?” You jested, stopping in front of his window.
He huffed a laugh. “You know, I thought you'd never ask. But you'll have to trade me for something of yours.”
“Deal, Jung.” You were certain you could think of something.

Smoothing your spatula over the cooled top layer, small, golden crumbs adhered to the buttercream as you coated the freshly baked cake’s exterior. You peered outside the window atop the sink, a smile stretching your lips when you’d noticed the falling white specs coating the world behind the safety of your glass pane.
You loved winter. You loved the hot chocolate with marshmallows melting into a swirl of whipped cream, huddling up on the couch with candles burning, blankets engulfing your form while the world around you faded away as warmth seeped into your skin. You loved the anticipation of snow, and the bliss it brought with it when it dressed the streets in a soft, pearly gown. You loved the big jumpers you’d sneak out of Wooyoung’s closet, his scent imbedded into the soft fibres, and the homemade soup burning your tongue as he spoon-fed it into your open mouth. Even with harsh storms swaying the trees from side to side, branches banging against your windows, hail pounding on the hoods of cars, and bleak winds breaching the thick layers of cashmere and fleece, winter with Wooyoung was warm.
Too immersed in taking in the sky’s frosty offering, you’d missed the gentle rustling of keys, the click of the front door, mindlessly spreading the slightly-too-thick coating while socked feet padded their way to your idle form. The sudden hands on your waist startled you, a gallop of buttercream flying off the spatula you were holding as your arm jolted upwards, quickly twisting your body with a stunted inhale to face the intruder. Your initial fright dwindled away as you stood before Wooyoung, eyes closed to avoid the buttercream stuck over his eyebrow, his body trapping yours against the marble counter.
“Woo,” you breathed out a sigh of relief, giggles bubbling up in your throat as you reached for the tablecloth you had thrown over your shoulder, wiping his face with your lips drawn tight to suppress the laugh attempting to slip through.
“Is this how you treat me on my birthday?” You wanted to kiss his pout away, but you resisted. “I rushed home to my darling because I missed her so much, and she tries to blind me,” he sulked, fluttering his eyes open once you’d wiped his face completely clean.
This time, you giggled, leaning forward to press your lips together, moving to peck the corners before pulling away. “I’m sorry, my love,” you smiled apologetically, not bothering with teasing him on his birthday. His mouth stretched into a smile that mirrored yours, and you leaned into his body, arms wrapping around his small waist while his circled your own. Glancing down at his shirt, about to scold him for the improper number of layers he’d thrown on before leaving, your eyebrows shot up at the blotchy streaks of brown painting the thin white. “What did the guys do to you?”
He tilted his head to take in the state of his shirt, blowing out a breathy laugh before directing his gaze back to your puzzled features. “Oh baby, you should’ve seen my face. They had Jongho push it down into the cake.”
“Mm, you still have some in your hair,” you grinned while picking out the crumbs from his hairline, running your fingers through dark locks to break up the stuck-together strands.
A gust of air blew over your face as it escaped Wooyoung’s parted lips in a heavy sigh, interrupting your ministrations when he dropped his head onto your shoulder to nuzzle his nose into your pulse point, inhaling the lingering scent of vanilla wafting off your skin and occupying your residence. Pressing a kiss to your neck, he muttered against the soft flesh, “I’ve missed you.”
You smiled, “you’ve only been gone for two hours.”
“Too long.”
Your chest warmed, fingers carding through the soft hairs at his nape while he laid the weight of his head onto your shoulder, breath steady and arms secure around your waist, occasionally tightening as he zoned in and out of the present, content to simply rest within the aura of tranquillity you’d effortlessly granted him. “You’re here now,” you burrowed your nose into his hair, the chocolatey aroma of a wasted cake embedded into the soft locks.
It wasn’t that Wooyoung was fond of winter too — he simply enjoyed spending it by your side. Pretending to be cold so you’d snuggle closer to him, running your hands through his hair and peppering kisses over his face until it scrunched up, blowing hot air over his already-warm palms just to see the corners of his eyes wrinkle as his lips curled with a smile. You'd wait all year to watch the world pile on layers of thick fabric with a sheet of white, quickly melting dust resting on their shoulders, dainty snowflakes bedecking brown locks, irises glinting under the winter sky as you walked down the slippery sidewalk with intertwined fingers swinging between your bodies.
Winter, to you and Wooyoung, meant meaningless walks under the soft snowfall, feeling the momentary chill of the icy flakes on your skin before it reverted back to liquid. Red noses inhaling the crisp air, soft gusts of fog leaving freckled lips as excited words rolled off his tongue — something about a new series he was watching, or was it a movie? The non-prescription glasses he insisted on wearing all but fully beclouded, droplets of melted snow rolling off the plastic frame, his lips cracked with their excessive movement as he kept switching between topics, as though he’d been saving them up for weeks. As though you didn’t share most of the day’s hours in each other’s company, eyes meeting delicate features as the morning sun cast its early rays over your resting figures, and falling shut within each other’s embrace, hoping their gentle touch could carry into your dreams.
Wooyoung knew when to be quiet as well. When the grey, weary skies reflected upon your affect, your warm sheets proving to be a little more difficult to part with, and words a little more difficult to utter. In such instances, Wooyoung offered you peace, safety, warmth. A place to rest and recover, where the passage of time didn’t seem too daunting, where you could find footing at your own pace, with a gaze flooded with unfaltering adoration cast upon you, and arms warmer than the peak of summer holding your trembling form until it found the strength to stand alone, a ghost of a palm on your lower back even as you took your first steps back into the present.
A pleasant exhale warmed your shoulder before Wooyoung’s body retreated partially, arms still encompassing your body while he directed his focus onto the counter behind you. “Has my baby been working on this since I left?” His tone was playful, amused as he peered over your shoulder at the crumb-coated cake left unfinished.
The corners of your lips lifted into a shy smile, cheeks flushed while you nodded. With your eyes fixed onto a particular stain on Wooyoung’s collar, you’d missed the tenderness of his gaze as he took you in — curling in on yourself while he held you in his arms, flour dusted over your sweater and traces of buttercream left at the corner of your mouth from a sneaky taste testing you thought would go unnoticed. Holding your chin with his pointer and thumb, Wooyoung directed your focus back to his face, greeting you with an easy smile before leaning forward to close the gap between your lips. They sashayed like dancers, moulding against one another in a gentle, yet gradually deepening kiss, noses pressing against one another as Wooyoung stepped further into your space.
And just like that, he was gone again, moving back to moon over the blend of abashment and disorientation taking over your features while your lips continued to chase his, the plushness lingering over your senses, and you wanted more. But the hands on your waist were twisting you clockwise until you faced the loitering snowfall once again, Wooyoung’s arms now on either side of you, bracketing your body against the counter while his lips feathered over the cartilage of your ear as he spoke, “come on then, don’t let me distract you.”
Your heartrate picked up, Wooyoung’s body heat — despite the intentional space left between your back and his chest — seeping into your skin, not aiding the flush running up your body at the proximity, the not-so-innocent touches, the teasing, the taste of his lips persisting over yours.
“Woo,” the tone was firm, but your voice wavered before you could stop it, and the telltale stretch of his mouth against the shell of your ear told you all you needed to know — Wooyoung was aware of his effect on you, and would work to exploit his power in any way he could.
Slender fingers reached for the piping bag you’d set aside earlier, twisting one of your hands with his free one to place the tool into your open palm. “Here, I’ll help,” his smirk remained, evident in his voice as he laid his hands over your knuckles, following your lead as you adjusted the bag in your hold until it fit comfortably.
You exhaled the breath you’d been holding, steadying your trembling hands and angling your body over the counter, dragging Wooyoung down with you as he watched your measured movements in silence. Pressing down on the sides of the plastic bag, you formed your first buttercream swirl with a meticulous twist of the wrist. You pursed your lips, leaning back ever so slightly to examine it before nodding in approval, bending down once again to repeat the process.
Wooyoung's hand remained perched idly over yours, eyes flitting between your profile and the hands lining his birthday cake’s circumference with — very uneven — swirls of vanilla buttercream. With no trace of your previous bashfulness to be found, Wooyoung found himself mooning over the engaged furrow of your eyebrows, the glossy sliver of tongue held between your teeth, steady hands moving underneath his with no complaint about their added weight; you’ll most likely use that as an excuse to justify the noticeable discrepancy in swirl size, and Wooyoung will most likely allow it, drop the banter and accept you accusations, simply to see the blissful spark lighting up your irises.
Suddenly straightening up into his body, you’d dragged Wooyoung out of his sappy daydreams and back to inspect the finished cake, the decorative swirls appearing more uniform now that they’d been clustered together, the mouthwatering scent of vanilla and caramel so inviting, so homey and pleasant.
As though you’d read his mind, you reached forward to grab a clean fork from the dishrack, not bothering with cutting out a slice before you’d stabbed the cake to scoop out a bite of fluffy, vanilla-coated sponge. Wooyoung's mouth opened without thought as you directed the heaped fork over your shoulder, teeth clanging against the metal as he slid the contents off its prongs. You'd expected the passionate feedback, turning your head as soon as his eyes had fell shut, wishing you’d plugged your ears as soon as the hyperbolic moaning began. Sensing the sway of his body behind you while he chewed loudly, you slid your finger over the coated side of the cake, collecting a bead of buttercream and rotating your body to smear it onto his cheek. The moaning stopped, thank fuck.
The deadpan expression barely lasted, his features melting into that of warmth, affection, love — as though you’d handcrafted the intricate snowflakes painting the world white and placed them into his hands. Wooyoung’s gaze moved to your lips, skipping contemplation, and diving forward to share the sweet remnants of vanilla on his tongue, flicking it over your bottom lip with a sly smile. He trailed tender kisses up your face, starting at the corner of your mouth and up to your cheekbone. And just as your eyes fluttered shut, a warm, buttercream-covered cheek collided with yours, curved nose nuzzling into the warm flesh to smear the sugary cream over your skin. His grip on your waist was unyielding, holding you still while you thrashed in his arms.
“You shouldn’t play with your food, my love,” he grinned, fingers now poking at your sides.
“Woo—” you shrieked and jerked away from his touch, throwing your head back as giggles erupted from your chest. “Please—s-stop!”
He carried on with his ministrations for a few moments more, revelling in the pleasant melody leaving your smiling lips, the joyous expression persisting even after his hands ceased their motion, now resting comfortably over the curve of your waist. It was as though an inconspicuous force drew him to you, finding it laborious to remain detached from your form. The cake on his shirt be damned, he wrapped himself around you, tucking his head into the crook of your neck to inhale the scent of your body wash, pressing feathery pecks over the soft skin.
The corners of your lips curled upwards, sighing pleasantly at the gentle gesture as you smoothed your hands down his back, nuzzling your cheek into his clothed shoulder while the scent of musk and chocolate mingled in the air around you.
Settling in the tranquil stillness with Wooyoung, you could feel the taut, lean muscle lining his back beneath your palms, absorbing his comforting heat as you stood together. “How are you not cold?”
He smiled fondly at the slight lisp you spoke with, tucked so close to his body, his shoulder muffled your words. Pulling back, he placed a wet kiss to the tip of your nose when you’d whined about the sudden parting, and his hands reached for yours. He enveloped the icy digits within the warmth of his own, bringing them up to his mouth to blow hot air into the cocoon he’d created around your hands. Closing his fingers around yours completely, he hoped it’d contain the warmth of his breath, lowering them back down to peer at you through his eyelashes, a familiar glint in his eyes.
“What?” you questioned warily, one eyebrow raised and heat rushing through your body.
Despite his intense stare, his eyes — though slightly narrowed — remained soft, one hand leaving yours to smooth down the hair at the side of your head, the scent of chocolate surrounding you once again as he pressed his lips to your temple, the leftover sugary cream on his skin spreading over your cheekbone as he spoke.
“My sweet baby, let’s warm you up, yeah?”
--
All plans to ravish you vanished as soon as your knees met the carpeted floor between his legs, hurried fingers tugging at his sweatpants, not allowing him the time to settle back down onto the couch cushions before a wet tongue swiped over the precum beading at his tip.
“Baby, you really don’t have to,” he muttered breathlessly, fingers carding through your hair, eager eyes watching your spit-soaked lips approaching his cock.
Looking up at him through your lashes, you wordlessly took his cockhead into your mouth, fluttering your eyes shut as you lowered yourself further down his length, grunts and choked moans reverberating in your ears and motivating you to carry on. He felt heavy on your tongue, the prominent vein lining his shaft throbbing in your mouth and bitter precum overwhelming your tastebuds. Wooyoung’s thighs tensed under your palms, and glancing up at him, you watched the turmoil his features portrayed, wanting you to move at your own pace, yet the burning want sizzling in his gut begged him to take what he wanted.
“Youngie,” a gentle mumble of his name was enough to drag him out of the battles crowding his mind, snapping his eyes down to your face with parted lips and stunted exhales. Dragging your mouth down his length, you watched as his gaze moved to take in the slow descent, then back up at the sound of your voice, “use me however you want, birthday boy.”
You flattened your tongue over underside of his cock, moving upwards to circle around his head, your exaggerated slurping breaking Wooyoung’s composure, the internal battles in his mind coming to a standstill as your warmth engulfed him, eyes beginning to roll back with every inch you took down the rough plane of your tongue. His hands shot up to hold your face, thumb caressing your cheekbones while he kept you in place, languidly rolling his hips into your mouth, head thrown back over the cushions behind him with burning arousal rushing through his body. You nuzzled your nose into the thick hairs at his base, and even as you gagged, your mind floated in ecstasy with every upward buck of Wooyoung’s hips.
“Fuck—‘m sorry darling, you feel so good,” he admired the skill in which you took his cock with lidded eyes, brows furrowed while he held you down until he felt the last of your oxygen warming the skin of his pelvis.
Wooyoung helped you off his length before you had the chance to tap on his thigh, chest heaving as he watched you regain your breath, his throbbing length coated in your spit and spurting translucent, sticky precum in anticipation. He followed the string of saliva connecting the tip of your tongue to his cockhead, swallowing dryly as his body lit up with all-consuming lust. Watching you suck in the air you’d lost, Wooyoung assumed he’d have more time to recover, to push down the hints of an orgasm come too soon, but the sudden fingers around his base offered him no reprieve. Small, firm tugs on the lower half of his cock built him up to an almost-high once again, his voice thinning — groans turned choked-up moans — and his hips involuntarily jerking into your fist.
“W-wait—baby, ‘m gonna cum, please—” he pleaded, but the small smile you tried to hide told him everything he needed to know: you weren’t planning on stopping. You wanted to hear him whimper and whine, watch him squirm and shiver under your touch until he’d dirtied his clothes with his own cum, until his cock could no longer handle the flaring stimulation. But Wooyoung had other plans, grabbing your wrist and sighing as you relaxed your fingers around his cock, shutting his eyes to bask in the calm before opening them once again to take in your dejected features. Too riled up to play your games, like a carnivorous fauna who’d been mercilessly starved for weeks, Wooyoung wanted to feast. “God, darling, I wanna fuck you so bad.”
You thought the couch would’ve been reserved for foreplay and playful teasing, but Wooyoung didn’t bother move to the comfort of your shared bed, simply lifting you off the ground and trapping you under him, the fingers tangled in the hair at your nape tugging your head back to bare your neck while blunt canines left imprints over the delicate skin. Wooyoung’s cock fit snugly between your walls, resting comfortably within your clenching heat while he ravished you, his body weight resting on your pelvis restricting your movement. It seemed as though the raw lust blazing in hooded eyes had dissipated completely, replaced by unwavering patience, gentle pecks and blooming bruises, a throbbing cock seated within your cunt with no plans of moving, of fucking you the way you’d yearned for.
“Youngie,” you whined, a high-pitched whisper that elicited a hum from the man biting into your shoulder. “Please move.”
A breathy chuckle blew over your skin, “I thought the birthday boy made the requests?”
Your expression fell, was it the embarrassment or dejection? Either or, you turned your head to face the backrest, the motion restricted by the hand in your hair, now easing its grip as Wooyoung noticed the flush spreading up from the collar of the flour-dusted sweatshirt he didn’t bother add to the pile of clothes haphazardly thrown over the carpet.
Redirecting back up to your jaw, he planted wet, open-mouthed kisses over its slope, gentle fingers on your chin guiding your gaze back to him. “Oh baby, I’m just kidding.”
His lips settled into an easy smile, soft fringe fanned over his forehead and shimmering beads of sweat forming over the slivers of skin peeking through. The abashment you’d felt faded upon meeting his eyes, void of any judgement, and full of unconditional infatuation. His lips landed onto yours while you were too busy admiring his features — a slow, deep kiss to match the leisure movement of his hips, the drag of his cock over your walls throwing gasoline into the fire burning in your gut. Arm hooking under your knee, he spread you open and laid himself over your lower half.
“What are you—”
“Moving,” a sly smirk paired with a sharp thrust into your welcoming heat, a groan left his parted lips while he watched you melt under his towering frame, the audible squelch of your pussy like music to his ears.
He didn’t give you time to process, elbows digging into the cushion on either side of your head as he built up to a mind-numbing pace, stuffing his cock inside you and revelling in the pleasure painting your features — eyes shut and mouth forming an ‘o’, unable to form coherent words, only a staccato of airy ah’s. His cock was relentless, repeatedly pressing into your sweet spot to light fireworks behind your eyelids, your hips rolling to meet his to create an echo of skin-on-skin between the four walls. The constant squeeze of your pussy around him, the sweet sounds leaving your lips, the firm hold you had around his biceps as he pistoned his hips into you with fervour — Wooyoung’s composure began faltering, and his desperation unveiled itself the deeper he fucked himself into your sopping cunt.
You were so wet, a frustrated whine reverberating in Wooyoung’s throat when he slipped out of you, hands trembling as he hurriedly pushed himself back into your fluttering hole, sighing in unison once your walls were once again moulded to his shape. He lowered himself atop you, his forearms easing some of his body weight off yours while he nuzzled back into your neck, grunts and breathy moans now much closer to your ear, much clearer, sending searing waves of heat straight down to your stretched core.
“So fucking perfect,” he muttered into your skin, “taking me so well, letting me use your cunt the way I want. Such a good girl for me,” he bit down on the column of your throat, feeling it vibrate with your moans as he built himself up to the brink of his orgasm, then slowing down to drag you there with him.
“Fuck, Woo, please—”
Your fingers found the hair at his crown and tugged, not to pull him off you, but to hear the whimpers sounding at the back of his throat. You were close too, so fucking close from the relentless abuse of your g-spot, Wooyoung’s cockhead pressing into it with every forceful thrust into your needy cunt while his pelvis continuously brushed against your swollen clit. The familiar fluttering didn’t go unnoticed, your pussy gripping Wooyoung with its every retreat, swallowing him back inside — inch by inch — with an exhale of relief.
“Close?”
It sounded more like a statement, but you nodded anyway, the hands on his shoulders sliding down his bare back to grip the warm flesh of his hips, desperately guiding them into your heat. The gesture, paired with the doe, sparking eyes you looked up at him with, the gentle tone of your voice as whispered pleads and repetitions of his name escaped your pouty lips, dragged Wooyoung over the edge, tumbling down the steep hill of his orgasm until his vision blurred with unshed tears. The rhythm he'd maintained broke, replaced by sloppy, frenzied thrusts into your dripping cunt, a thick ring of cream forming around his cock as he emptied inside you.
He twitched violently between your walls, and the sudden warmth spreading through your lower belly dragged you down that hill with Wooyoung. You clamped down around his length, halting the frantic pounding as he sheathed himself within your cunt, feeding thick ropes of white into your womb while he shuddered above you, unfiltered moans vibrating against the side of your neck.
It felt like you were still coming, even as Wooyoung used your cunt to milk out the last of his cum, heavy dollops streaming out of the stretched hole, your walls continued to flutter around him, thighs trembling at his side and under his palm. Even as he stretched your leg out for you, refusing to leave the comforting warmth of your cunt while he wrapped his arms around you and twisted you onto your sides, your mind still floated within a cloud of ecstasy.
Was it your orgasm, or was it just Wooyoung? His presence, the soft scent of his cologne and the chocolate in his hair creating a bubble of comfort around your resting frame, his warmth seeping into your skin and lighting your heart ablaze. Today was meant to be about him, celebrating him, but love laced itself into everything Wooyoung did, and he couldn’t help but give, even on a day on which he was meant to take.
“Thank you for today,” the words spoken into your hair were unexpected, and you lifted your head to meet dazed eyes.
“What?”
“The cake, and the dessert,” he smiled at the innuendo, leaning down to peck the tip of your scrunched nose. “Thank you for loving me.”
Dumbstruck, you stared up at the man with glassy eyes, tucking yourself back into his chest before he could question the tearful reception of his words. But Wooyoung only held you tighter, pressing a faint yet reassuring kiss over your hair while you sunk further into his arms. Warm. Even in the midst of winter, Wooyoung was warm.
With the fluffy blanket you’d laid over the backrest now wrapped around your bare figures, you rested within Wooyoung’s secure hold, sharing whispered confessions and hearty giggles while the sun started its descent from its locus. And as the sky shifted from blues to a vivid magenta, you endeavoured to maintain the smile stretching Wooyoung’s lips, to watch his lines around his mouth further deepen until this happiness forever etched itself onto his face.
The world continued to celebrate the first snow of the year — blankets of white now melting over the asphalt — but your focus remained elsewhere, too busy celebrating Wooyoung.

Summary: Things take an unexpected turn when Wooyoung walks in on you and San.
Pairing: Choi San x F!Reader x Jung Wooyoung
Genre: Hidden feelings, threesome, smut
Word Count: 5.3k
Warning(s): Alcohol & drug use, sex under the influence
A/N: This fic is the most well-liked among readers on my AO3. The writing may not be up to my current standard as I first posted this in 2019, but I hope you enjoy it anyway!
Everyone is already stoned by the time you show up at San and Seonghwa's apartment. The former is the one to open the door, greeting you with red eyes and a lazy smile.
“Hey, gorgeous,” he greets. “We’ve been waiting for you.”
Before you can respond, you're slammed with the familiar smell of weed that wafts out into the hallway after him. Greedy to get started, you give your boyfriend a quick kiss on the cheek and push past him into the kitchen, avoiding his grabby hands with skilled ease.
You throw your bag down onto the counter and then make a beeline for the fridge, desperate for some sort of alcohol after the stressful week of final exams you've just gone through. Grabbing a beer, you sit on one of the kitchen stools and give the room a once over.
Jongho, Yeosang, and Yunho are sat on the floor playing Mario Kart as Mingi sits behind them on the couch, knees pulled up to his chest. It seems like he's pretending to be some sort of referee based on how every once in a while he shouts random things like, "Oh, come on, Yunho! Don't you know how to drift?!" You smile at his antics—you've missed this.
Meanwhile, the other couple of the group is squished into one armchair, Hongjoong's legs draped over Seonghwa's lap. Hongjoong's eyes flutter open and closed and Seonghwa chuckles, lovingly watching his boyfriend struggle to stay awake. As always, a stoned Hongjoong is a sleepy Hongjoong.
You go to turn back to San—thinking that you've seen everyone—when a silhouette on the balcony catches your eye. You’re overtaken with surprise when you recognize it to be Wooyoung, taking a hit from San's prized glass pipe. He hadn’t come to one of these get-togethers in a while, ever since he broke up with his girlfriend. Actually, now that you think about it, he hadn’t been here that much even when they were still dating.
He spots you and he smiles, his eyes turning into crescent moons from pure happiness. After shoving the pipe into Seonghwa's waiting hands, he jogs over and plants a soft kiss on your cheek. You laugh and give him a hug, ecstatic that he seems like the Wooyoung you used to know. He was always touchy when stoned, but he had been holding himself back because his ex didn’t like him showing affection to anyone other than her.
“Thank god that bitch is gone,” you say, squeezing him one last time before letting go. “I missed this Wooyoung, the real Wooyoung.” You pause before adding, “My best friend, Wooyoung.”
Wooyoung runs a hand through his black hair, laughing. “Yeah, me too. I’m glad to be back.”
“I’ll drink to that,” Mingi shouts from his place on the couch.
Of course, Wooyoung agrees instantly. You roll your eyes; he’s a fiend when it comes to alcohol of any kind. “Hell yeah! Let’s do shots.”
Wooyoung jogs over to the liquor cabinet and grabs a bottle of vodka. You shiver involuntarily; you and Smirnoff have a dark history. As he begins to pour the gasoline into shot glasses, he shoots you a questioning look.
You shake your head. "No. Hell no. No shots for me."
Despite your greatest efforts at resisting, Wooyoung's puppy eyes and Mingi's pouting (those two are unstoppable when they team up) manages to convince you and, half an hour later, you're three shots in. Yunho tries to pass you another one and you grimace, slapping his hand away. He looks offended and cradles the shot to his chest as if it spilling would have been the greatest tragedy of the modern age.
"We don't waste alcohol in this household, Y/N," he explains.
You can't help but roll your eyes. "Right, of course. Anyway," you look to where San is, leaning on the railing of the balcony with his pipe in hand, "I'm gonna go join my boyfriend and get stoned. Alcohol tastes like shit, I can only handle so much."
You practically skip to the balcony, excited to spend some one-on-one time with your boyfriend. It's been nice hanging out with the whole group but all you want right now is to be in San's arms. So, you decide to do exactly that. You bend down slightly and crawl right in between them, letting yourself be caged between his body and the railing. He doesn't get surprised and you let out a sigh of relief, grateful that he's been smoking for a few hours already. You're positive that if he was more sober he would've flinched and the glass pipe would have fallen out of his hand and down twenty-five feet onto the concrete below.
He smiles when he sees you, the corners of his eyes crinkling and his oh-so-precious dimples making an appearance. Leaning down, he captures your lips in a kiss. Smoke fills your mouth and your eyes widen in surprise; you didn't notice him take a hit. He pulls away and you exhale, letting the smoke evaporate into the night air. You cough slightly and he smiles, pressing another kiss to your forehead.
"Sorry, angel. I couldn't help myself."
The pet name makes you clench your thighs and San notices, eyes darkening. He knows exactly what the effect is of him saying that and you know he did it on purpose.
Fighting away the blush attempting its way onto your cheeks, you take the pipe from his hand, inhaling. You let the smoke enter your lungs, relishing in the familiar burning feeling. On your exhale, you say, "It's fine, just warn me next time."
Just as you take another hit, Seonghwa peeks his head out past the balcony door. "Hey, Joong and I are tapping out for the night."
San raises an eyebrow. "You mean he's still conscious?"
Chuckling, Seonghwa responds, "Let me rephrase. Hongjoong has passed the fuck out, so I'm taking him to my room to lay him down."
"Typical Joong," you say with a laugh. "He's fun for the first hour or so, and then he just gets tired." You always get stuck looking after a hungover Hongjoong while Seonghwa goes to work and you have a feeling tomorrow morning won't be any different.
Seonghwa nods, agreeing. With a half-wave, he turns to go back inside but suddenly stops, casting you and San one last look. "Oh, also—if you guys are gonna fuck tonight, can you try to be quiet? I have work tomorrow and wanna get a few hours of sleep in so my hangover doesn’t completely decimate me."
You blush and bury your face in San's chest, embarrassed. "Hwa! Can you not?"
Normally, San would be just as embarrassed as you, but not tonight. Without batting an eye, he says, "Alright, we'll try."
You pull back from him and gently swat on his arm. "San!"
He looks at you curiously. "What?" He wraps an arm around your waist and pulls you taught against him and leans down to press his forehead against yours. "You want me to lie and tell him that I'm not planning to make a mess of you ton—"
"On that note, I'll take my leave," Seonghwa interrupts, disappearing back into the apartment.
"Oh my god." You pat your cheeks, forcing your blush to die down. "I always forget how much... bolder you get when you're high."
San leans down, placing a soft kiss on your neck. The gesture sends an electric shock throughout the rest of your body, causing your hair to practically stand on end. "Don't pretend you don't love it," he whispers, the heat from his breath ghosting against your skin.
"I don't—"
He cuts you off by taking your chin in between two of his slender fingers and forcing you to look up at him. "No lying, angel."
As if on autopilot, you respond, "Okay, Sir."
The second you close your mouth, you know that you've just set something in motion. You can see the change in San happen, something inside of him switching into gear. He's always had two sides to him—your soft, romantic boyfriend and then the rougher, more possessive side of him that comes out when you call him by that name.
Placing the pipe down on a table, he grabs you by your wrist and drags you inside past all the stragglers left in the living area. Yunho wolf whistles and Mingi and Jongho laugh quietly amongst themselves. Wooyoung, on the other hand, watches the two of you with an expression you can’t quite place.
"You two have fun now," Mingi jokes. Then, addressing the others, says, "Time for us to leave unless you wanna hear them going at it."
Leaving them to their own devices, San brings you to his bedroom. The second the door closes he has you pressed against it, capturing your lips with his own. You press yourself into him, letting out a content hum against his mouth. In this position he towers over you, his frame completely enveloping your own. You don't feel nervous or scared, though; in fact, it turns you on.
You hook your fingers under his shirt, desperate to feel his skin against your palms. He helps you out, pulling away from you for just a moment to pull it over his head and toss it somewhere across the room. His lips are back on yours within the next second, as if your mouth is a magnet for his own. You run your hands up and down his back, feeling the muscles tensing under his skin. Just having his skin bared to you is already enough to get you moaning; you need more of him and you need it now.
You pull away from his lips to get some air. In between gasps, you manage to say, "Bed, now."
Your wish is his command. He lifts you up, biceps bulging, and gently places you on the bed. He hovers over top of you, messily leaving open kisses against your skin. You moan, giving into the sensation. It's been so long since you've had him like this and the buzz from the drugs is only making everything so much better.
"Wait." San raises an eyebrow as you crawl out from underneath him, hopping over to his desk. You open the top drawer and rummage around until you find exactly what you're looking for—a freshly made blunt. Picking that up and a lighter, you turn back to your boyfriend with a mischievous look in your eyes.
He smirks, leaning against the pillows. "I like the way you think."
Strolling back over to him, you get on the bed and throw one leg over his lap, straddling it. You give him the blunt and the lighter and, as he ignites it, you take off your shirt to give him a good view of your breasts. You hadn't worn a bra today, knowing that he loves when you don't. He almost chokes on the smoke as his eyes drink in your form, so greedy for a taste.
San's about to take another hit when the door to his bedroom opens. You cover yourself, panicking until you see exactly who's standing there—Wooyoung.
"Woo...?" You murmur, the syllable dropping off into a question.
He closes the door behind him and steps into the room. "Can I... Let me join you."
San chuckles. "I knew this would happen eventually."
You furrow your eyebrows. "What do you mean?"
"Woo has always had a thing for you. He told me a while ago. It's part of the reason he broke up with his ex, besides the fact that she was also a major bitch."
"Is that true, Wooyoung? Do you like me?" you ask, uncovering your breasts. His eyes instantly fall to them and he gulps.
"Yes."
You're sure that his honesty and what you do next is partly because of the drugs and alcohol swimming in your system.
"Alright. Join us."
Wooyoung moves forward, shedding his shirt as he does so, before crawling onto the bed next to you. He takes the blunt San holds out for him, plump lips forming a delectable "o" as he inhales. You watch him with hooded eyes, imaging those lips leaving a trail of blooming marks down your body, between your legs... You'd be lying if you said you'd never thought of this prior to tonight. You lean forward and kiss him and, for the second time that night, smoke transfers into your mouth from another's. This time, however, you're more than ready for it. You close your eyes in ecstasy, french inhaling as you slowly rock your hips against San's crotch, relishing in the groan he releases. You can feel him hardening through his jeans and you instinctively clench, already so desperate to have him—someone—inside of you.
Letting the blunt hang haphazardly out of his lips, Wooyoung grabs your waist and helps you move against San who occasionally lifts his hips, adding to the delectable friction that's making you whine.
Smoke starts to fill the room, making everything hazy. With every inhale, the smell of it invades your senses. You love it more than anything—it makes you feel like you’re floating. You reach over and pluck the blunt from Wooyoung's lips, taking another hit. Leaning down, you kiss San this time, biting his lip. Once he gives you access, you push the smoke into his mouth with your tongue.
“Fuck,” he groans, letting the smoke evaporate into the air. “It’s so much hotter when you do it to me.”
Placing the blunt into San's mouth, you reach down and unbutton your pants, managing to slip them off of your legs without even having to get off of him. With one less layer of clothing separating you, the friction of his tented jeans rubbing against your core is that much stronger. You throw your head back, sporadically rubbing yourself against him.
He reaches up and grabs one of your breasts, squeezing your nipple in between his fingers. “My angel is needy, huh?” he murmurs, smoke coming out of his mouth along with the words. You whine, nodding. “Alright then. Let me take care of you.” As an afterthought, he looks to Wooyoung who is currently palming himself through his jeans. "Actually, why don't we have Woo do it? I'm sure he's been dreaming about how you taste."
Before you can blink, San places the blunt in the ashtray on the side of his bed and flips you around so that your back is pulled taut against his chest. He nods at Wooyoung who gulps, moving forward and lowering down so that he's lying on the bed between your legs. You're certain that, at this point, your arousal has begun to leak through the fabric of your panties and the way his dark eyes take in the sight makes you squirm in anticipation.
San laughs, placing a sweet kiss against your temple. "Be patient."
Wooyoung begins to lightly trace patterns on your stomach as San attaches his plush lips to your neck, licking and sucking at the skin. The sounds you’re making are absolutely lewd, yet barely anything has even been done to you. Wooyoung leaves a hickey above the lace trim of your panties before hooking his fingers under the waistband and pulling them down, revealing your soaking cunt.
He kisses the inside of your thigh once, twice, before finally licking a strip up your core. Your entire body shudders and you arch your back instinctively. Your ass grinds against San's crotch and he groans, digging his fingers into your sides to keep you still. Your thighs close around Wooyoung's head yet he doesn't seem to have a care in the world, eating you out painfully slowly as if he is savoring every taste. You whine and squirm, fingers and toes searching for purchase within the sheets.
"Please, please, please," you gasp in between ragged breaths.
Wooyoung pauses, mouth hovering right above where you need him most. His breath is enough to make you clench, desperate for anything and everything.
"Please what, angel?" San asks. "Use your words."
"Please let me come."
Wooyoung kisses you right above your clit and you practically scream, tears welling up in your eyes. You're never like this, never this needy or this sensitive—it has to be the weed in your system. And you'd be lying if you said you didn't like it.
"Please who?" San's voice is deep, demanding.
Your voice is faint, barely a whisper. "Please, Sir."
He looks towards Wooyoung who is still hovering between your legs, lips glistening with your juices. "What do you think, Woo? Should we give her what she wants?"
Wooyoung pushes his hair back off of his forehead, sweat droplets falling onto the mattress below. "I know I'm more than willing to follow through."
San laughs, his chest reverberating against your back. "I'm sure you are. In that case, go for it; see if you can make her come as hard as I can."
Wooyoung takes on the challenge. His mouth attaches to your clit, sucking and licking at the sensitive bundle of nerves. When he adds a finger, plunging it into your dripping core, you scream his name.
"Fuck, Wooyoung!"
Your hand tangles in his dark hair and you can't help but pull, too lost in your own lust to hold onto any semblance of thought. Wooyoung doesn't seem to mind, though. If anything, it turns him on knowing that you're so far gone.
"Come on, baby," San whispers, hot breath dancing across your ear. "Come for us. Show me how good Wooyoung is making you feel."
Wooyoung adds a second finger and before you know it, you're seeing stars. A blinding wave of heat and pleasure overtakes you and you're shaking but, God, it feels so, so good. Wooyoung guides you through your orgasm with soft, gentle licks against your swollen pussy as San whispers words of praise against your skin. When you come back down from your high, you register the feeling of tears on your cheeks.
Wooyoung, finally satisfied, crawls up to lie beside you on the bed. He chuckles softly when he sees the state you're in and kisses away the wetness on your cheeks with a smile.
"It was so good that you cried, hm? You're so cute." Then, turning to San, he smirks. "You ever make her come like that?"
San rolls his eyes. "Of course I have. Don't get ahead of yourself."
At this point, you can barely find the strength to form a proper sentence but still, you grab onto one of San's biceps, fingernails digging into his tanned skin.
"Why don't you show him?"
San's eyes widen ever so slightly. "Are you sure you can handle it right now?"
You nod fervently. "Yes, God yes."
San still looks hesitant so you take initiative, wrapping your arms around his neck and pulling his lips down to your own. You kiss him with everything you have, hoping it expresses your wanton need for him. Against his lips, you murmur, "I want you. I want you inside of me, please."
"Fuck, angel..." He groans and closes his eyes, shaking his head ever so slightly. "You have no idea what you do to me."
After shimmying out of his pants and the boxers underneath, he reaches behind Wooyoung and searches around in the drawer next to his bed, pulling out a condom. He carefully rips it open and, after blowing into it, begins to roll it down his shaft. He moans at the friction and you frown, realizing how little attention you've given him. Shooing his hand away, you take over, rolling it all the way down to the base. He buries his face in your neck, groaning every time you move. You continue to stroke him, bringing your hand up to the tip of his cock before twisting your wrist and moving back down. He doesn't let you continue your ministrations for long, grabbing your arm and forcing you to stop.
"I'm close," he explains, sweat pooling at his brow, "And I would much rather be inside of you right now."
You smile and peck him on the lips. "Okay, I'm ready."
With your consent, he lifts you up and sits you on his cock, pushing past your walls. He stills with a gasp. "Fuck, you're so wet. Wooyoung did a good job of getting you ready for me, didn't he?" You nod and he begins to thrust, making you fall forward and lean against his chest for support. "You always take my cock so well, don't you? It's like you were made for me."
You let out a strangled moan, the praise combined with his actions sending shockwaves straight to your core. You came not so long ago and already you can feel your pleasure coiling once again. "Fuck, yes, I'm yours," you say.
Wooyoung, neglected, takes action and moves forward, tucking a finger under your chin and tilting your head, forcing you to look at him instead of San. "Y/N... kiss me."
You lean forward, stopping a breath away from his lips. "Sir," you whisper, "Can I?"
San shudders as you clench around his cock. "Go for it."
At his word, you capture Wooyoung's lips with your own. The first thing you notice is that you can still taste yourself on him; the second thing is how passionately he responds to you and how eagerly he returns your affection. He tangles his hand in your hair, tugging slightly on the strands. You moan at the sensation, nipping at his lips in the process.
San snaps his hips, slamming into you at a menacing pace that has your thighs shaking from the force of it. You gasp and, unable to keep kissing, grab at Wooyoung wherever you can, searching for support. Your hands find purchase on his biceps and you dig your nails into his skin, too lost in your pleasure to be gentle. However, Wooyoung doesn't seem to mind—in fact, the slight pain causes him to moan.
You can tell San is close by the way his breathing is getting heavier and his thrusts are getting sloppier. You clench around him and he squeezes his eyes shut, groaning.
"Fuck, baby, oh my God—"
"Sir, I want to come with you," you whine, throwing the nickname in there because you know it will help bring him to the edge.
He kisses you and brings a hand to your clit, furiously rubbing it with the pads of his two fingers. "Okay," he pants, "Come with me, angel. Come with me."
The coil building in your abdomen comes undone once he snaps his hips at an angle that hits that one spot inside of you and you impulsively lean forward, biting onto Wooyoung's shoulder to muffle your loud moaning. The spasms of your walls against his cock have San following after you mere seconds later and he eases you off of him, letting you fall to your back against the mattress below.
San places a loving kiss against your temple and turns to Wooyoung, who at some point had taken off his own jeans, freeing his swollen cock. "Woo, come here," he commands, crooking his finger. You frown, realizing that Wooyoung has gone the longest without being touched; how unfair. You reach out a hand, willing to help relieve him, but San stops you. "No, you rest. I'll take care of him."
You watch with wide eyes as your boyfriend goes slack-jawed and takes Wooyoung's leaking cock into his mouth, allowing the other boy to fuck his throat. He sucks him off with the ease of someone who has done it multiple times before, knowing when to move and when to still, when to use his tongue and when to not. Saliva begins to dribble out of the corners of his lips and his eyes tear, but you can tell he's eager to help Wooyoung reach his end what with the way his hands are supportively rubbing the other's thick thighs. If you weren't so exhausted, you think you might have come again just from the sight of it.
It doesn't take long for Wooyoung to come with how long he's been holding off and San takes all of it, swallowing and gently pulling off of him. Wooyoung collapses against the headboard, chest heaving. After catching his breath, he looks at you and smiles.
"Well... this was fun, huh?"
You can't help but laugh, so blown away by the turn this night has taken. "Fun is just one of the words I would use, I think."
Wooyoung reaches out, carefully pushing your hair off of your forehead and the loving action reminds you of a question you had wanted to ask earlier.
"Woo?"
"Hm?"
"How long have you wanted this?"
His ears turn red and you can tell that the question embarrasses him, but he answers anyway. "Since before you and Sannie started dating."
"Wait... back in high school?" He nods. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"I was scared," he admits. "You and I had—have—been best friends for so long and I didn't wanna risk ruining that by acting on my feelings. Then I introduced you to Sannie and, well... the rest is history." You punch him on the arm and he whines. "What was that for?!"
"You idiot! I liked you too."
"You... what?" His complexion pales as the information sinks in. "Fuck."
San, silent until now, wraps his arms around your waist and pulls you towards him, kissing your cheek. "Y/N... do you still like Woo?"
"I..." You pause, startled. "Is this a trick question?"
He laughs. "No, it's not. And there's no wrong answer. Just be honest with me, baby."
"M-maybe." Your voice is small, tentative; telling your boyfriend you have feelings for your mutual best friend isn't something you ever saw yourself doing.
"What if I said I did too?" San asks.
Your jaw drops and you search his face for any signs that he's joking, but he looks completely serious. "Really?"
San nods. He gestures for Wooyoung to come closer and he does, scooting forward so that he's sitting right next to you. He rests a hand on your bare thigh, gently caressing the skin there and calming your nerves.
"Yeah. I like both you and Wooyoung and you like both of us, right?" You nod. "What would you think about making this a normal thing?"
"Like... the three of us all being in a relationship?" you ask.
Wooyoung shrugs. "We don't have to have any sort of label. This is just something we can try out. If it doesn't work, that's okay too. I won't mind."
You take a moment to think, weighing the pros and cons. Then, you realize something. “Wait… Did you guys plan this whole thing out?” San and Wooyoung share a guilty look and you laugh, shaking your head exasperatedly. “God, what am I getting myself into?”
Wooyoung’s eyes light up. “So you’re willing to try?”
You nod. “Yeah, I am."
"Great!" San kisses your nose and gets up, discarding the used condom into the trash can underneath his desk. He slips on a pair of sweatpants and goes out the door to presumably get some things from the bathroom, but of course not before throwing the two of you a dimpled smile and assuring that he'll be right back.
He returns shortly, opening the door with one hand as he holds two washcloths and some lotion in the other. He closes it with his foot and practically jumps on the bed, eager to not keep you or Wooyoung waiting any longer. Gingerly, he wipes away with your sweat, starting with what's on your face and not stopping until you are fully refreshed. Then, as he hums under his breath, he squeezes some lotion onto his hands and begins to gently massage you, helping to loosen up any tension and soreness you might feel. He saves your abused core for last, making sure to be extra gentle.
You watch with a content smile as he smothers you in aftercare, letting yourself just sit back and soak in every second of it. You used to feel guilty when he did this, feeling bad you weren't doing anything in return, but he's assured you so many times that he enjoys it and wouldn't do it if he didn't want to that you can't help but just selfishly enjoy it now.
Not wanting Wooyoung to feel left out, he makes sure to give him the same routine. Wooyoung is hesitant at first like you used to be but, before long, he's practically purring. Once San is done, he slides into bed behind you and covers your scantily clad bodies with the previously discarded blanket. Instantly, you slide closer towards him so that your back is against his chest and he sighs contentedly, resting his chin on the crown of your head. Wooyoung turns to face you and San, forehead almost touching your own, and you kiss him, making him laugh.
"I can't believe this is real," he admits.
You smile. "Me neither. It's weird, but it's nice."
San hums in agreement, already drifting off.
"I love you," you say softly, chest aching with just how much you mean those words. "Both of you."
"I love you more," San responds. Just like always.
"I love you, too." The same words Wooyoung has always said, but now with a different meaning.
It's nice, you think, having two people to wish you goodnight.
Tumblr media
The following morning, you're the one who wakes up first. Wooyoung is the first thing you see, mouth slightly parted and hair a complete mess. You smile, finding it endearing. San's grip around your waist is tight but you manage to slip out of his hold, getting out of bed and throwing on a pair of underwear and a t-shirt. You open the door and quietly make your way to the kitchen, hoping that Seonghwa and Hongjoong are still asleep. You don't hear any commotion and you let out a relieved breath, glad that you don't have to deal with the embarrassment of facing anyone after—
"Good morning," Seonghwa says, peering up at you over the rim of his coffee mug. You freeze, watching as he takes a sip and then places it down on the counter in front of him.
"Oh, um, hey. Hope we didn't, uh..."
"Keep me up? No, not at all. Not like for a second I thought you were getting murdered from how loud you were screaming or anything like that."
Your entire body seems to burn from the force of your blush. "Fuck. Sorry, Hwa."
"Whatever, it's fine. But, I have to ask... Is that Wooyoung's shirt?"
Looking down, you see that you are most definitely wearing that shirt Wooyoung had on the night before. "Yeah, I... We, um..."
It's at this point that both Wooyoung and San emerge from the bedroom, San still clad only in his sweatpants and Wooyoung in a pair of boxers. San instantly puts his arm around your waist and lovingly pecks your cheek, and Wooyoung smacks your ass as he walks by to get to the coffee pot.
Seonghwa raises an eyebrow as he watches the scene play out. "You know what? This weirdly makes a lot of sense." Getting up and putting his now empty coffee mug into the sink, he adds, "Anyway, I'm headed out. You three think you're up for another party tonight?"
Your mind travels back to last night and what incredible things the party led to so, without missing a beat, you respond, "Oh, God yes."
Seonghwa laughs. "Cool. See ya later, Y/N."
The door closes with a slam behind him and you hear a groan come from the hallway behind you. You take a look around the bend to see a very, very hungover looking Hongjoong hobbling his way out of Seonghwa's room. You smile and share a look with Wooyoung and San, shaking your head. Looks like your prediction was right—you're gonna be stuck taking care of him after all.

Walking out of her bedroom, Y/N finds Wooyoung in the kitchen making breakfast. “Good morning,” she smiles wrapping her arms around his waist and leaning against his back.
“Good morning,” he replies, stretching his arm back behind him, hugging her the best he can as he fries the eggs.
She eventually lets him go and moves towards the coffee machine to make herself a cup of coffee after noticing his half empty cup beside the stove top. He looks over at her doing a double take noticing the shirt she’s wearing. And it’s not because she is only wearing some random shirt and underwear. It’s his shirt. His shirt he thought he had lost months ago while he and the guys were in another country.
Never did he think that his own girlfriend had stolen it. He should have known. When clothes went missing, it was usually because he left them at her home, or she “borrowed” them. “Is that my shirt?”
“This one?” she asks, doing a little pose and motions to the shirt. “It somehow got mixed in with my laundry, so I washed it and then forgot about it until last week. I was planning to give it back to you today.”
“But, decided to wear it instead?”
“It smells like you,” she says lifting the collar to smell it. The smell of his cologne that he wears every day is faint but still there.
“Keep it,” he tells her, with a soft smile and eyes filled with love.
“I plan on it,” she smiles and places a quick peck to his cheek.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
outside was grey. you couldn’t tell what time it was or where you were. some park you didn’t know which one. he was there though. you felt his presence, felt his hand in yours. there wasn’t a soul at this park besides the both of you. “i love it here.” he said. when you turned to look at him his hair blew into his face covering it. that’s how it always went. his face was always covered.
before you could reply your alarm clock ripped you from the dream. suddenly the world was in color again and you were left feeling empty now that he was gone. you hated waking up alone after dreaming of him. your bed never felt so empty. with a sigh you got up to get ready for work.
you wouldn’t say you hated your job, but working nightshift with a dance team above your building made you want to. your boss had you on night shifts and ever since the team moved in you understood why. when you got to work your boss was happy to leave. “not enough pain medicine can cure the headache those boys give me.” she grumbled before punching out. you waved goodbye before punching in and taking over behind the counter.
the music they were dancing too was muffled but their stomps on the floor could be heard a mile away. another night of their non stop practice. you wondered if they ever got tired, or took breaks. it seemed like they didn’t.
when the end of your shift finally came you were happy to leave. they practiced well into the am hours. your head hurt and you were so tired.
after a shower and some food you made yourself comfortable in your bed. once your head hit the pillow you were quick to fall asleep.
the world was grey again. you felt him next to you before you seen him. always aware of his presence. he was comforting. if this was a ghost you hoped it wasn’t an evil one. his chest pressed up against your back, his arms wrapped around your waist. he buried his face in the crook of your neck.
“i missed you.” he mumbled. you relaxed against him. the two of you stayed like that for awhile. comfortable in each other’s presence. until you felt his grip start to loosen. “no don’t go.” you mumbled. “i have too.” he was sad.
you turn around in his arms. the two of you made eye contact. your heart was practically beating out of your chest. this was the first time you ever truly seen his face. your eyes scanned his face taking in every detail.
his slightly long black hair. you noted his chapped lips but your favorite feature is when he smiled at you. god his smile was beautiful. he placed his hand on your cheek. “i’ll see you soon.”
before you could reply you were ripped from your dream state by your annoying alarm. letting out a groan you kicked off your blankets and got ready for work.
another long night, another night of their loud music and stomps.
that’s how it seemed to be, for weeks and for weeks you dreamed of him. his handsome features. his touch which left you burning. however you were left feeling empty and cold when your alarm went off.
you couldn’t really tell anyone about him. no they’d think you were crazy. so for the two months you kept dreaming of him. you kept it all to yourself.
as the months went on, you started craving sleep just to see him. it all felt to real to just go up in smoke when you opened your eyes.
your eyes took in the grey surrounding area. you were sat on a swing with him next to you. your eyes found his when he let out a sigh. “are you okay?” you asked. he nodded but frowned. “i just wish you were real.” he said. “i wish you were real.” it was quiet for a moment before the both of you made eye contact.
his eye brows were furrowed. “i am real.” he stated. now it was your turn to be confused. “so am i? what kind of joke is this?” you let out a small laugh. “it’s not a joke.” he stated. the two of you just stared at each other. “i don’t understand.” you mumbled. he started to back away. “wait don’t go.” it was to late he already disappeared.
you shot up in bed gasping for air. your hands felt around your bed for him. like always..he wasn’t there.
you decided on a shower before going into to work.
the first few hours were the usual. loud music and stomps. at this point you were use to it. what came as a surprise was when the music stopped. you let out a sigh, maybe they finished early for once.
the bell above the door rang and a group of guys walked in. you counted eight of them as they took off in different directions for various food and drink items. your heart rate picked up when you caught sight of him. he was wearing sweats and a huge hoodie. he hadn’t seen you yet.
four of them approached the counter with arms full of snacks. “did you find everything okay?” you asked. they nodded. wooyoung froze at the sound of your voice. his own heart rate picking up. he stood in the back behind his friends.
the second group of four placed their snacks down. wooyoung still staying back. “woo you said you’d pay.” one of them whined. wooyoung glared at san before stepping up to the counter.
sweat beaded at your hairline. you felt small in his presence. “um is this all?” your voice was shaky. “uh yeah.” he answered. you nodded and told him his total. he paid and you handed him his bags. his fingers brushing across yours lit your body ablaze. you two stared at each other. his eyes dropped to your name tag. ‘hello my name is: y/n’ he noted your name.
“come on wooyoung, we only have half an hour before practice.” one of the boys said. you took note of his name. he was quick to snatch his bags and rush out with his friends.
your heart ached watching him go. a familiar sense of deja vu washed over you as he left.
that night when you closed your eyes. he wasn’t there.
you haven’t seen him in days. in all honesty you felt like you’ve finally gone crazy. was he even real? did that night even happen?
your questions were answered when the same group of boys entered the store again. only this time he wasn’t there. your heart dropped. “if you’re looking for wooyoung, he’s outside.” a voice interrupted your thoughts causing you to jump. your eyebrows furrowed.
“why would i be looking for your friend?” you asked. the boy laughed. “because we all seen what happened and he hasn’t stopped saying your name in his sleep for weeks now.” your eyes went wide. “e-excuse me.” you stepped around the counter and went outside. wooyoung was pacing back and forth.
“hey.” your voice came out in a whisper but it still caught his attention. his eyes met yours and suddenly you were back in your dream. “hey.” he said. “i, i don’t know what to say.” you said. “me either.” he admitted with a small laugh.
you stuck your hand out, he looked down then placed his hand in yours. “hi, i’m y/n.” the two of you shook hands. “hi y/n, i’m wooyoung.” your heart was beating so fast. never in a million years did you think this moment would ever be real.
you pinched yourself and winced. “why’d you do that?” he asked. you shrugged. “i had to see if this was real.” you smiled. he pinched himself too letting out a small wince. “totally real.” he grinned.
your dream boy was real.

Wooyoung lets out a long wheeze.
Beside him sits San, who’s withdrawing the metal straw that’s halfway through his mouth as he glances over at the coughing man with a weirded-out expression. He makes the effort to set his drink back down onto his thigh, the damp bottom of the glass creating a huge patch of wet circle on his light blue shorts. Wooyoung coughs again to draw out his previous choking, inhaling a huge amount of air before sighing, gulping, and straightening up on his seat again.
“You okay?” Asks San as he gently pats Wooyoung’s back, who grimaces but nods his head nonetheless as a reply.
“Yeah, yeah. Liquid just went down the wrong lane, that’s all.” He clears his throat, taking a careful sip from his smoothie just as his eyes smoothly dart over to take a glance at your direction again; this time, taking the time to properly take in your presence without embarrassingly choking on his own drink.
Hongjoong is the first to acknowledge your presence, followed by Seonghwa, and then the rest. Like how Wooyoung had expected, they instantly gush about your rather fresh and new look, dressed in a summery outfit that’s quite different from your usual style, but still looking incredibly good that it momentarily sends the two fashion enthusiasts to another dimension.
It’s the reason behind Wooyoung’s twenty-second choking too, but nobody’s supposed to know that.
It hasn’t been that long since you all arrived in the place― a rather cosmopolitan beach that’s a four-hour drive from the capital. The vacation had been planned months prior, but none of you had the time and the headspace to make it happen after a surge of projects and final examinations in the season. It most certainly came as a surprise when Yeosang was the one who’d brought it up after everything― considering he’s normally the silent one who goes along with whatever is decided or claps back to a stupid idea that somebody might chip in to the group. But it’s also especially because of the fact that Yeosang is the one who’d said he wanted to push the vacation through, and the fact that you had all been through hell, that the long-standing and almost completely wiped out trip to the beach finally happened.
Seonghwa and Hongjoong had everything planned out from the accommodation, to the food, down to the activities, so your arrival and checking in was fortunately a lot smoother than it’s supposed to be. After setting foot on the destination, and after a few arrangements and preparations here and outfit changes there, you’re finally coming out to gather at the beachfront for the sunset campfire, as per what’s written on Seonghwa’s very intricate itinerary.
Wooyoung forcefully tears his gaze from you, afraid you’ll catch him staring so badly and tease him about it.
He’s a huge pest himself, but he prefers to be the one on the annoying side and not the other way around. So instead, he chews on the little crumbs of ice from his smoothie and frowns ahead at the shining sun to conceal and bluff the reactions you’ve managed to contract from him.
He tries desperately to hide it because you aren’t supposed to be cute, you’re supposed to look like a porcupine in his eyes or something, and he’s supposed to tease you because of that. He’s supposed to let out a hyena laugh, annoy you to death, then play fight with you until the end. That’s how it has always been in the course of your lifelong friendship. But for some reason, he couldn’t take his eyes off of you.
And he swears it’s getting more and more ridiculous how this has happened a lot of times lately.
On your class reunion.
At a mutual friend’s birthday party.
At your apartment when you had a movie night and a sleepover, and you were even only in some plain freaking sweats and a comfy loose shirt!
He absolutely hates how the thought of him being attracted to you looking so homey makes him seem like a true domestic fool in love.
It also scares him even more how those times are the only times he’d begun to realize and process those feelings properly, because he’d been feeling them for so long before he’d begun to take notice of it.
Wooyoung had always thought you were pretty, and decent, too― that’s what he always says as a response to people telling him that you’re gorgeous or cute, or anything of the like.
It’s not like he’s lying though― yes, he does find you attractive, but a few years before, you were the type of attractive that was “not just for him”. His compliments directed towards you are always genuine; it has always been, but of course he’d cover that up with some sort of statement that would have been seen or deemed as offensive if he isn’t your best friend.
Wooyoung always liked showing affection, but always mischievously if not one in sadder days. And so it has been bugging him, for quite a long time now really, why he seems to be so disturbed over your presence and why it gets harder and harder for him to get the additional teasing statements out that normally followed his compliments without some offensive stuttering.
Or without averting his gaze.
Or hesitant eye contact.
Or an erratic heartbeat.
For him, it’s frustrating, really, because he isn’t as dumb as he hopes he would be and he knows exactly what it means.
“Well, how do I look?” Your voice snaps him out from his daze, and if not for the littlest bit of sanity left in him, he would have choked on his drink again. Thankfully, he doesn’t, but now you’re standing in front of him in all your glowing glory, which makes it harder for him to compose himself. It must be hilarious, he thinks, that you’re awfully oblivious to his twitchy and jumpy attitude— even twisting and turning to show off the outfit that you’ve planned solely for this trip weeks prior.
And it pains him how you look absolutely, breathtakingly, gorgeous in it.
Wooyoung hums, pretending to attentively look at you for a moment before leaning back into the bench, swinging his arm to rest against the backrest as he frowns up at you. “Like Chewbacca in a summer outfit.”
At his reply, your smile drops and you glare at him, though it’s rather lighthearted. Clicking your tongue, you roll your eyes at him before toying with the sleeves of your clothes, examining your outfit again.
“Come on, Wooyoung, they don’t look bad! In fact― oh my fucking god, you must be kidding me,” San manages to choke out after looking up from playing a game on his phone, blinking in rapid succession as he looks up at you with wide eyes. “You’re so pretty though?”
“Hey, I never said Chewbacca looked bad,” Wooyoung clicks his tongue, turning his head to look at San, who’s setting his phone and drink aside to approach you. “It’s you who insinuated some negative note on my statement and made it some sort of Chewbacca slander.”
Wooyoung’s gaze absentmindedly follows yours and San’s movement as he speaks. San holds your hand and helps you twirl around, a bright smile gracing your face at the attention you were getting from the man.
“Yeah, yeah, whatever.” You reply with an exaggerated flick of your foot as you twirl once more, causing crumbs of sand to purposefully hit Wooyoung, who jerks back in shock with a scrunched face. Your laughter echoes in his ear, and he opens his eyes, looking at you with some kind of fiery determination that sends you laughing even harder.
“You little―”
Wooyoung stands on his feet and grabs a handful of sand, chucking it to you as some sort of retaliation. A shriek leaves your lips and you dodge his hits by running around before you begin engaging into some hilariously intense sand battle; laughs and shrieks filling the open area as it steals much of the attention from the people around.
“You scoundrels! Look, my smoothie is full of sand― get a damn room already!” San whines, dodging the crumbs of sand that come his way while frowning down at his wasted drink. He wastes no time in grabbing Wooyoung’s drink though, making sure it’s sand-free before consuming it instead.
Continuing your little play-fight, the laughter increases, though you get closer and closer to the shore. And just as you’re planning to fight him with seawater instead, bits of the sand that he chucks your way manages to enter your eye, so you halt on your spot with a wince.
“Ow,”
Wooyoung takes a few moments to examine you from far away, watching you blink and rub your eyes before realizing that you’re actually serious, so he quickly jogs over while trying to bite back a guilty laugh.
“Let me see,” He snorts as he approaches, the small cold waves of water by the shore lightly hitting your feet, making you stumble a bit. Wooyoung’s quick to hold you close though, and he gently takes a hold of your chin.
“Stop rubbing your eyes! It’ll get worse,” He laughs, swatting your hand away, and you try to pry them open but ultimately fail upon feeling the sting as the (unfortunately) salty air hits your eyes. Wooyoung tells you to stay still just as he puts his hands on either side of your cheek; and when you just stand there, closing your eyes and not fighting him back, it’s like a bucket of ice water is dumped onto him.
Your eyes are shut close, steady breaths coming out of your nostrils as you wait for him to touch you. Before he could move, though, your hands find his button up shirt, clutching and bunching up the cloth to balance yourself with your vision blocked. Wooyoung looks at you again, this time, his gaze fixated on your lips— that’s become so, so appealing and inviting to him that he feels his breath choke high up his throat.
“What are you doing? Hurry up, stupid!” You scold, bringing your hand up to blindly strangle him (which results in you accidentally poking his eye), and he stumbles a bit with a laugh, rubbing it before blinking the momentary sting away.
Mentally, he’s already swatting and hitting and cursing himself for dazing out and thinking about kissing you― not directly, but still implied― because god, he’s literally being so weird he couldn’t take it, but it happened at the wrong time too, and he’s so fucked if any of the other boys were paying attention to him and realized how fishy he’s been acting. So, he clears his throat and gently takes your face in his hands once more, gently prying your eye open before blowing onto it.
“Why do you both hate each other so much?” Yunho’s voice comes from an adjacent spot as he chuckles, watching you both with much fondness with the others trailing behind him. Wooyoung snorts as a response, glancing scarcely at their direction whilst he cups your face and tries to pry your eyes open again, a cheeky grin adorning his lips.
“We don’t hate each other, we’re offensive soulmates. We’re used to it.” He mumbles before turning back to you.
After Wooyoung blows a gush of air onto it in a weak attempt to make the foreign object go away, you begin to open your eyes and slowly blink in rapid succession to adjust your vision. Your hands then unknowingly come up to hold Wooyoung’s that are still resting on the sides of your cheeks. The first thing that you see is Wooyoung’s face― his annoyingly handsome face at that― and you’re about to throw a jesting insult at him about it, but you see this charmed look in his orbs first, that the words get choked in your throat, unable to come out for some reason.
Wooyoung blinks, hands frozen while his shoulders are clearly tense, and his eyes trace a line from your eyes, to your nose, to the plump of your lips before the lump on his throat bobs up and down when he visibly gulps. Feeling a surge of panic from the sudden silence, he pulls his hands from your face then awkwardly shoves them inside his pockets instead.
“Now, now,” Hongjoong claps, a lop-sided grin tugging onto one corner of his lips as he catches everyone’s attention. He bites back a laugh when Wooyoung’s head snaps to his direction a little too fast in a poor attempt to feign attentiveness in the awkward atmosphere.
Because Jung Wooyoung is everything but attentive, especially when it comes to Hongjoong.
“Everybody hasten up! Let’s start the campfire.”
Tumblr media
Mingi had been squished flatter than a pancake halfway through the sunset campfire.
He had been the scapegoat for the group’s games this time; twenty minutes into the game, and they’ve managed to have him take seventeen shots, which, apparently, is more than he could handle to make it through the night. Everybody seemed to be having their own fun even though nobody actually really got to play truth or dare― because fooling around in the spur of the moment seemed to be more appealing to everybody than the desire to play the, what San liked to call, “oldfangled and mainstream” game of truth or dare― many things had happened and the newfound comfort of just doing whatever seemed to be relaxing.
Wooyoung had thanked the heavens and around probably fifty two celestial beings for that, because had they played truth or dare with the boost of alcohol, he would surely be fucked.
Thankfully, everyone’s so distracted, because everything is fun when you’re tipsy or drunk.
Seonghwa had managed to bring in some new friends for everybody; some people he’d met alone near the floating bar. There was one girl though, who Seonghwa really seemed to especially like; bringing a very huge smile to his face the moment she did so much as laugh.
Hongjoong noticed this, of course— patting Seonghwa’s back and encouraging him to make a move, knowing if he did, he’ll have the whole cottage room to himself tonight.
Right across you, Jongho is singing along to a song he slightly messes up out of being drunk, though his voice is as lovely as ever as he leads the whole group to jam. Yunho is play-fighting hand cobra with Yeosang right beside Jongho, while San and Wooyoung chats about something you couldn’t make out or hear, but it doesn’t matter.
At least he’s distracted enough to not know how good you think he looks in his gray silk button-up with its long sleeves messily rolled to his elbows.
On either side of you sits Ryujin and Lia, the friends of Seonghwa’s “friend”, whom you’ve grown close to within the first five minutes Seonghwa had introduced them to the group. The rest of your circle of friends scattered messily across you, especially Mingi who is sprawled out cheek-flat onto the sand while a grimacing Hongjoong tries to tug him back to his seat on the log, saying it’s not his bed and that he might be lying above the home of tiny crablets― which is quick enough to make him spring up and clumsily sit back up.
From the other end, Wooyoung sits with his elbows propped on his knees, the sound of faint laughter and chatter blurring around him; San’s words slowly becoming inaudible when he catches sight of you again. You’ve been watching everybody laugh and have fun for the most time― occasionally chatting with the girls.
“Wooyoung, can you― hic― hand me some salted nuts?” Jongho pleads, which ultimately distracts him from his reverie, but he snorts and reaches over to grab the pack of nuts from the snack tray near him anyway.
From the corner of Wooyoung’s eye, he sees Lia and Ryujin whisper something to you before slipping out of their seats, heading together somewhere along the area. The sight of you sitting alone makes Wooyoung take a final sip from his drink before pushing himself to stand, taking the packs of salted nuts that Jongho had asked him for along with him.
“Hey! My salted nuts―”
“Managed to save you some before Jongho could hog them to himself,” Wooyoung mumbles, waving the packs around as he approaches you. Immediately, you snort and chuckle, seeing the rather mischievous smile on his lips while he weaves his way through the others’ horseplay.
“What a superhero,” You jest, leaning slightly to the side to peek behind him, only to see poor little Jongho struggling to crawl towards the snack tray, clumsily grabbing whatever snack he could see while a ‘stupid wooyoung’ falls off of his lips. Chuckling, you shake your head just as Wooyoung takes what used to be Ryujin’s seat just beside you. He opens his palm upward, showcasing the snack for you to take, quirking a brow when you give him a once-over.
“Thanks.” You say, slamming your hand atop his in an attempt to grab the snack, though Wooyoung’s hand tenses up, and you both lift your gazes to meet each other in the eye. For a moment, there’s nothing but silence, silence, and a little more silence before you begin to snort, and Wooyoung finally bursts into a fit of laughter.
“Since when were your hands this tiny?!” He almost shrieks, laughing his ass off once more before setting the pack of salted nuts aside to compare your hands. The sight of your hand, almost an inch shorter than his, makes you groan and roll your eyes with a smile.
“It’s not tiny! It’s just smaller than yours.”
“That counts!” He shakes his head, clearly finding amusement in the situation. Wooyoung’s gaze flickers momentarily to your face, then back to your touching hands, and his smile slowly fades as soon as he feels the tip of your skin gently sliding down to his palm. Before you could completely let your hand fall back down on your lap, Wooyoung’s fingers bend to enclose around yours, feeling and rubbing them slightly.
“Your hands are so cold though.” He gulps, continuing his miniscule actions as your fingers slowly wrap around his thumb with how he’s rubbing friction onto them. Wooyoung brings your tangled hands down to his lap before he takes your other hand, then tugging them up to his lips to blow on them.
There, you take notice of how his lashes flutter prettily against his cheek, how the point of his nose perfectly compliments the natural pout of his plump lips. He’s so effortlessly beautiful, as much as you hate to admit it, and he’s got your stomach turning into that of a zoo.
Wooyoung is handsome― he always has been, but you’ve never really seen him in the same light, or at least you think you didn’t. Or you don’t want to. Or you didn’t― or whatever. Just as if he hears bits of your thoughts, he lifts his gaze, staring at you from below his lashes before he raises a brow at you out of faux intrigue.
“What, are you immune to this huge ass campfire?”
Instantly, you find yourself shrugging, and though Wooyoung returns a little snort, it suddenly becomes awkward― not because you’re looking at each other with some hidden fondness, but because it suddenly becomes silent.
“Oh my god,” It’s Yeosang who speaks first and breaks the silence with a groan that makes you both turn to the others, who are already silently staring at you and Wooyoung out of intrigue. A small chuckle erupts from Yeosang and he shakes his head right after taking one single glance at your hands, then saying before he takes a sip from his drink, “You guys might as well just kiss.”
You feel Wooyoung’s hand twitch in yours, making you snap out of your trance and slowly pull your hands away from his. Inwardly, you try to assess his reaction but then produce to cuss yourself for letting your obvious awkwardness slip― not even bothering to respond to Yeosang with an ‘ew’ or a mere ‘yuck’ just to save yourself some embarrassment for being unreasonably awkward. But it comes even more as a surprise as Wooyoung doesn’t even bother to throw a snide remark back, because he always does it, and there’s absolutely no reason for him to be embarrassed.
He even kisses your cheek in front of the others most of the time, just like he does with them— Yeosang’s words were nothing compared to that very public act of affection he displays in the daily, so why did it seem to weigh a lot this time?
But it’s really because Wooyoung’s brain is somewhere else, his remaining sanity prompting him to think of reasons as to why you pulled your hand away. Should he have said something to block Yeosang from making you feel embarrassed? Were you offended that at that moment, you were sort of linked to him for a bit? Or worse, did you not want to kiss him?
“But please, not in front of us.” Hongjoong kids, snapping Wooyoung out of his reverie as  he gives you both a rather teasing grin just as he throws a chip into his mouth. The others pay no mind to it― at least not really, just a little laugh here and there almost as if they’re… expecting it to happen.
Eventually.
Tumblr media
“Guys, I think the live band is starting―” Mingi groans, and his excitement for the live band (that he’s been looking forward to since forever) seems to overpower his drunk state as he’s the first to hear the subtle beating of the adjacent drums whilst it’s being tested. Hongjoong, being a musically-inclined person himself, is obviously excited as well as he quickly begins asking the others to pack up and gather their own trash to throw in proper waste bins before leaving to the stage.
Thanks to Mingi’s incredible sharpness, you manage to secure spots near the front before people could crowd, which means you must make the most out of the experience. It doesn’t take more than five minutes and the band begins playing a series of pop songs to hype the energy of the crowd; the night is still young and yet to be enjoyed. Yunho’s the first to bump your side with his butt in an attempt to get you to dance, and in no time, you’re already grooving around with him like drunken fools. But it’s really just his energy that powers you to move around even when you’ve been too shy minutes prior; and you’re thankful for his existence.
You manage to spend time with each of your friends for every oncoming set of songs, and you think there’s nothing that can top the time and energy that you spend tirelessly. The band did a good job at starting and maintaining and then boosting the energy of the crowd from the start; from an exciting pop and reggae to a relaxing r&b. But as they near the peak of the night, the songs begin to reduce to calmer ones, the crowd growing as equally relaxed as they’re given time to recover from the fatigue that they just spent jumping around.
Just as you regain consciousness of what’s happening around you, snapping out from what seemed like a dream, you notice that Mingi is slightly dying near the left side of all the mingling bodies, not literally though― as he seemed to be a little too drunk after he’d continuously headbanged and drank and danced around to all the pop songs played earlier. Yunho is trying to tend to him though, trying to get him to stand up only to be as equally tired and shitfaced drunk as the other male is. You see Yeosang approaching the two of them, trying to get them out of the mingling bodies to the empty space just near the side, because if he doesn’t do that then they’ll obviously get stepped on sooner or later when they finally fall face-flat on the sand.
Jongho on the other hand somehow managed to find his way on the stage, singing along with the original singer for a duet; Seonghwa is in an adjacent corner cheering Jongho on before turning to look at his fling sweetly, who’s cuddled to his side. Hongjoong is in the front row, holding up a digital camera to film Jongho like a proud stage mother as he sings on stage.
“y/n!” Somebody calls, and from the sound of their voice, they come from behind, so you turn. But before you could face the owner of the strained voice, smoke blows out from the pair of smoke machines on the stage. The bright lights reduce to a dim tone, and you squint to make the figure out emerging from the smoke.
Bright eyes, plump lips, exposed chest...
Wooyoung.
“There you are, I’ve been looking for you,” He says, a relieved sigh escaping his lips before he reaches up to ruffle your hair.
“Hey,” Chuckling, you let the greeting roll smoothly off of your tongue right before playfully swatting his hand away. He submits to it, pulling his hand before shoving it inside of his pockets.
Before he could say anything else, the bright lights reduce to a dim tone, the music shifts, and you both barely get to hear the words the singer utters before you’re looking around, baffled, seeing how people are suddenly facing each other in pairs instead of facing the stage. Wooyoung catches the word “romantic” only, and his eyes widen just as he swears he feels his heart leap from his chest.
Is the universe really toying with him on purpose? Because as far as he was concerned, he looked for you in hopes of jumping along to that one Justin Timberlake song, but now that he’s found you, he’s bound to share a rather intimate moment with you under this makeshift romantic atmosphere.
It would have been better, had he been alone. He could have settled at the back, leaned against a tall table and watched everybody kiss in front of him; he honestly couldn’t care less. But now, his friends are too far away, dancing with each other, cuddling with some people they barely know, or are just busy puking somewhere near the shore.
As if to make things worse, you’re standing right next to him, as stiff as a pole as you both face the stage; the people couples surrounding you either kissing or hugging to the fucking death to this Madonna love song. He figures he’d better be off drunk than to stand awkwardly right beside you, but he isn’t, and nor are you.
So you both continue to stand there, listening to the singer on stage.
A little awkwardly, you begin swaying along to the song― just because you don’t want to look too stiff or weird, so Wooyoung does the same.
But of course, something just has to happen; and your hand just has to accidentally brush against Wooyoung’s, like any other romantic cliche. It happens once.
Twice.
Thrice.
Again, for the fourth time.
And going five.
With how often it’s happening, you begin to think that maybe Wooyung’s teasing again, so you steal a glance at him from your peripheral vision.
But your heart practically jumps to your throat when you see that he’s already looking.
Wooyoung clears his throat as you turn your head to him. “Nice song, huh?”
“Oh. Yeah,” You say, then it goes silent again, so you try to speak up again by saying, “It’s Madonna, after all.”
Thankfully, Wooyoung chuckles– the very single act that made you feel a little relaxed under the rather tense atmosphere.
“God, Seonghwa is actually ridiculous for finding a fling on the first day of our trip. But then again, it doesn’t really matter when he’s snuggling close with somebody while we’re just standing here, does it?” He manages to let out an actually believable chuckle to cover the underlying uncertainty of his voice.
“True,” An airy chuckle leaves your lips as you turn to Seonghwa’s direction, watching him hold the girl close to his chest while the song plays. You look back at Wooyoung and nudge his arm with your elbow. “Well I guess it’s not that bad because you’re as lonely as I am.”
And you regret it immediately the second your words leave your lips because, what is that even supposed to mean? Wooyoung doesn’t respond as you hoped he would, though― he only snorts at you instead of taking offense and playfully fighting you to the end, like he usually would, but you think it’s better than him being all serious about it... probably.
There’s silence again, though you see Wooyoung gulp and inhale and exhale as if to calm himself down for some reason, so, feeling a strange surge of courage surge through you— with him seemingly as nervous as you are— you turn to him.
“Hey—”
“Woo—”
Your words come out in unison.
Wooyoung beats you to it and jerks his chin towards you, saying, “You go first.”
Then your confidence deflates.
Fumbling slightly with your fingers, the moment heightens all the more when the instrumental starts playing and there’s a higher chance of Wooyoung hearing what you have to say. How crazy can you be, feeling all confident and then backing away in a split second? But that’s maybe because he has something equally important to tell you and what if it’s that he has a lover? Or a crush? Or something that might embarrass you if you speak first? But after gnawing on your bottom lip for a couple of seconds, gaze dropped to the floor out of worry and anxiousness, you finally decide to just let the gods have their way with your life, as long as you get this weight off of your chest. So you huff and say,
“This thing… do you feel it… too?”
―then beat yourself up for the question because, just what is that supposed to mean? As vague as it is obvious, you hope Wooyoung doesn’t really catch what you mean to ask, but somehow you also do.
“What thing?” Is what Wooyoung says though, and it takes you two seconds long to process it, that he manages to add, “Oh, your sweaty hands?” before you could say anything else.
Just like that, your widened eyes reduce to a slant, deadpanning and glaring at him for his hilarious response. It’s supposed to make you laugh, and you are supposed to laugh because he might be oblivious and you have to cover it up.
But you don’t.
Instead, you murmur a small “Nevermind,” before turning away to face the stage again, refusing to believe you just made a fool of yourself in front of your own best friend, and maybe, crush. But it’s better than to have openly expressed your feelings and then getting turned down, isn’t it?
“y/n,” Wooyoung calls, his voice airy as if he’s about to laugh at you in the most hilarious way he possibly can, so you don’t turn to him. But being the overly persistent man he is, of course he continues poking on your arm, to which you dodge by clicking your tongue and moving away.
“Shut up, Wooyoung. I can’t hear the song.” You say, which is an ultimately lame excuse because the large speakers that blast the singer’s voice are tenfold louder than Wooyoung; but this embarrassment of yours causes a smile to tug onto the corners of his lips.Wooyoung coughs into his enclosed fist in an attempt to clear his throat, bottom lip getting caught in between his teeth as he tries to bite back a smile.
One moment, you feel as though your heart dropped to your stomach, and then the next, you feel it rise up to your throat. It’s there and suddenly you can’t get words to come out of your lips because you feel Jung Wooyoung standing behind you, his arms wrapped around your waist whilst his cheek rests almost next to yours.
What I’m dying to say is that I’m crazy for you,
Touch me once and you’ll know it’s true
He sings the lyrics into your ear, and the singer’s voice seems to fade in the background because nothing is more heavenly than Wooyoung’s voice. Too stunned to move or even utter a word, you stand there, frozen in his arms while he begins to sway your bodies slowly. Then, your hand slowly finds its way atop his arm; and Wooyoung expects you to pull his arm away, but you don’t.
You don’t tell him you feel his heartbeat speed up from your back.
I never wanted anyone like this,
It’s all brand new
Wooyoung spins you around, then gently takes a hold of your hand, slender fingers wrapping around your wrist just as he tugs it upward. The feeling of his skin on yours once more makes you lift your gaze to meet his eyes, and you catch him watching you with fondness in his gaze. His eyes flicker down once more to your free hand, and he does the same to it, now holding both of your hands before he brings it up to his shoulders, swiftly sliding closer to you, your fingers now subtly touching behind his neck.
Wooyoung’s gaze becomes rather shy as he lifts his gaze to meet yours once more, a small smile tugging on his lips as he places his hand cautiously on your waist. What’s annoyingly weird is that he’d done it so many times before— placing his hands there when he’s moving past you, on crowded parties, on formal dinners, or even stupid prom nights— but this time, there seems to be something different with the way you’re touching each other; like it feels more intimate and just… more.
With a gulp, you move closer to him and avoid his gaze. But Wooyoung is just determined to have you melt into a puddle as soon as possible because in a millisecond, he’s gently taking a hold of your chin, lifting it up, only to place his forehead against yours.
Your eyes dilate at the sight of Wooyoung so close to you― his lips just mere inches from yours. It’s the first time you’ve been this intimately close with him in such an intimidating atmosphere, but you like it. You really do.
His eyes are closed, and he continues to enjoy the moment— humming to the song— which stretches your lips into a smile. As soon as you close your eyes as well, however, Wooyoung blinks his eyes open, and it’s his turn to adore the tranquil look on your face. His chest rumbles with the chuckles he’s letting out, and you open your eyes before slightly pulling away to look at him.
“What?” You ask, but Wooyoung only shakes his head with a smile that almost reaches his ears. Then, he inhales a breath of courage before lifting one hand to tuck stray strands of hair behind your ear. His soft gaze lingers momentarily on your lips before it trails up to your nose, and then your eyes. Then, he cups your face again, his fingers sliding against your cheek, the underside of your jaw, and your neck as he lets out a shaky breath.
You sense the nervousness in his slightly trembling fingers, in his breath, and in the look in his eyes. And so when he couldn’t bring the words to come out of his mouth, as much as he so desperately wants to ask if he can, you begin leaning into his touch. The action alone makes Wooyoung relax, and just as he’s quickly cupping your face with now both of his hands―
“Wooyoooounggg!”
San’s nearing voice makes you and Wooyoung jump away from each other, fast, that it even makes you both accidentally bump into the people snuggling an arm’s length from behind where you previously stood. After muttering soft apologies to the couples for ruining such a sweet moment— to which they only seem to disregard as they’re too into the mood— you and Wooyoung inhale shaky breaths, stealing awkward glances at each other just as you turn to face the stage again while Wooyoung feels San’s arm wrap around his shoulders. Unconsciously, the overly excited boy jumps around on his spot, shaking Wooyoung’s shoulders just as he turns to San with an expression he fails to read out of drunkenness.
“Wooyoung! Wooyoung, I think I’m finally going to get a girlfriend—”
“San,” Wooyoung deadpans, pursing his lips slightly to convey a contained and restrained look before lowering his voice to whisper, “I think what you’re about to get is a black eye from me.”

“If we want to be able to stick to our itinerary for tomorrow, we all have to wake up on time despite staying up late, so don’t fool around too much and go to bed as soon as you can, please.”
“How about you take your own advice? Don’t stay up too late frolicking—” Wooyoung playfully chirps back, only jolting and backing away a bit when the older male turns around and threatens to run over and get him under his chokehold. But Seonghwa couldn’t afford to ruin his rather blissful night; not when he’d obviously had the time of his life only to have the mood tumbling down because Wooyoung can’t shut up.
It happens a lot though, and at this point it’s even a regular thing that neither of them pay much attention to it. Everyone continues walking lazily, some even moving a little too slowly towards your respective cottages— like you and Wooyoung, who remains a few meters behind. Although he’s not walking right next to you, he takes careful steps, obviously wanting to match your pace as you slowly drag your feet through the sand.
The familiar cottages come to view, and the others begin racing each other to their rooms. Just as you’re about to run along, Wooyoung grabs a hold of your arm, your name leaving his lips airily.
He licks his lips and heaves a breath, hands slipping into his pockets as you turn to look at him. The air is cold and strong, making you shift closer to your best friend to at least feel his warmth.
“What is it, Woo?”
Throughout the years you’ve known Wooyoung, he’s confident, noisy, (a little?) annoying, and hyperactive. To see him so shy and nervous especially around you is something out of the ordinary, which is why you know something’s really amiss and that it wasn’t just the alcohol talking. Wooyoung’s tongue pokes at his cheek as he begins gently kicking sand to ease the pooling anxiety in his chest.
“About a while ago,” He pauses to gulp, and then there’s silence as he tries to search for his words. When they don’t come, you try to cover it up just in case he regrets speaking about it.
“Oh, don’t get too worked up about it, I’m sure we just got a little carried away.”
You even chuckle a bit after saying it, because you assumed everything that transpired was to be left at that, but Wooyoung’s eyes are glossy as he lifts his gaze from his feet to meet yours.
“You think so?”
You blink, “You don’t?”
Silence.
“I gues… I… Maybe you’re right,” Wooyoung says after a few more seconds of silence, catching his lower lip in between his teeth as he stares into blank space for a bit, right before making eye contact with you― a little bravely this time. “But I just want to let you know that it wasn’t entirely nothing for me.”
There’s silence, again, but it’s because Wooyoung allows you to recuperate for a bit so that you can listen intently to what he’s about to say.
“It’s been going on for a long while now, really, and I think we both know it. This… thing between us, the thing you asked me about a while ago? Yes, I feel it. I really do. And it's driving me crazy because I want to do something about it. I want it. I want—” He sighs, “I want you.”
Heavy breathing.
“I think I’m crazy for you,” Wooyoung says, the sigh that escapes his lips this time resembling much that of relief; as if some weight is loaded off of his chest and he’d successfully gotten the words he’d longed to say out of his lips.
“It’s not even because you wore something that’s so different from what you usually wear; it’s not even because I’m a hopeless romantic and I felt so lonely in the sea of couples while a live band sings a ridiculous love song. It’s not because of that stupid makeshift romantic atmosphere that I got carried away.” Wooyoung takes a hesitant step closer to you, but you don’t back away— lost in the sea of emotions in his eyes.
“But from the very start, I’d already thought of you. I already wanted to spend every moment with you and it’s fucking ridiculous because I don’t want to just stand next to you, cheer you on like how best friends do. I want— I want to cheer you on, hug you, and kiss you, and shower you with all the love that I have for you but as somebody more because everyday, I think of you. Of course I do, I’m your best friend, but you’ve been crossing my mind so much these days that it’s driving me crazy— you’ve been staying in my mind like crazy as if it’s your home— and I tell you that I love you everyday but I don’t mean it jokingly or halfheartedly anymore, I don’t feel like you understand my I love yous the way I really, genuinely, sincerely, love you. Yes, it’s that deep, and I know I’m rambling and not making a lot of sense but I’m being as honest as I can, and I just really want to get this off of my chest because there’s no other way I can express it. If not for San, Choi fucking San, maybe I’d be rambling less because we’d either be awkward with each other, I’d be rejected or maybe you’d feel the same, but I’m not saying you should—”
“My god, Jung Wooyoung,” Wooyoung watches you rub your temples using your thumb and middle finger before letting your hand dangle back to your sides. A small quirk is visible at one corner of your lips as you snort at him, saying, “Did somebody ever tell you that you talk too much?”
Wooyoung winces slightly, left eye twitching before he licks his lips and looks around aimlessly.
“You all do,” He shoves his hands inside his pockets, a hesitant look written across his face as he awkwardly meets your eyes again.
“Well then―”
“Let me guess,” He sighs, shutting his eyes just as he nods his head in understanding. “I should shut up?”
“Yeah. You should shut up,” A pause, and with his eyes closed, he doesn’t see the grin on your lips that you try to bite back. “And just kiss me.”
Wooyoung’s head snaps up as he whispers a stunned, “What?” that makes you chuckle, and you shrug and sigh just as he looks at you expectantly.
“To cut the drama to the chase, I feel the same way, Woo.” Is how you explain it to him subtly, right before reaching over to punch his chest playfully as you say, “Do you even know how hard it is to get you out of my head—”
Wooyoung takes large steps towards you, ready to dive in to capture your lips into a kiss― just what he’s been a little too slow at doing a little while ago. But just as he’s cupping your jaw with his one hand, the other settled on your waist to pull you close—
“Wooyoung, what’s taking you so long? I want to ramble to you about my— Oh hey, y/n!”
San’s voice almost echoes in the open, and with how he sounds, he’s a little oblivious to what’s about to happen in front of him even when you and Wooyoung are pressed unusually close to each other. And at the sound of his voice— his second interruption for tonight— Wooyoung groans, turning his head to his friend and giving him a wide-eyed look of warning.
But when San’s brows only raise as a response, Wooyoung decides to hold up a palm to him, telling him to stop and wait for a moment.
The poor stunned boy only becomes twice as stunned as soon as he sees Wooyoung lean in and capture your lips into a kiss, and you’re pretty sure he’s drowning in surprise when you begin to kiss Wooyoung back. As soon as your lips begin moving gently against his, Wooyoung grins into the kiss, and he retracts his hand after hearing San’s silence, knowing he’d successfully taken the hint.
Little footsteps pad away— which must be San escaping the scene— and it’s either he gets to his cottage, traumatized that he shuts up about it or so shocked he’ll tell the others to come out and see what’s happening. But without much care about whatever San might do, Wooyoung lifts a hand to cup your jaw instead, tilting his head to kiss you again, the kiss deepening even in the midst of small laughter and clashing teeth and swollen lips.
You don’t know how long you’ve been kissing for, but you wouldn’t want to have it any other way.
Wooyoung’s lips are like soft cushions that press ever-so-gently yet passionately against yours— way better than how you’d imagined it, that it makes you melt under his touch. He smiles into the kiss again, making a smile appear on your lips as well, and you laugh and kiss and then laugh again, until your noses are gently nuzzling against each other and your lips are hovering above each other’s mouths.
“Fuck, you really make me go crazy, do you know that?” Wooyoung mumbles against your lips, his eyes producing a faint glimmer of what anybody could only recognize as love. You slide your hands from the back of his neck, down to his shoulders, then to his chest, and you feel the terrible pounding of his heart atop his clothed chest. Chuckling, you sneak a soft kiss on his lips again just before pulling away slightly to place your forehead against his.
“Just one touch and I already know it’s true, Woo. If that's what you're worried about, just know that I'm crazy for you, too.” Cocking your head to the side, it's Wooyoung's turn to feel flustered. “Hard not to be when you're this sexy.”
“Oh you—”
Hongjoong's voice rips through the air. “Fuck inside your room, not out there, for goodness sake!”

“...3, 2, 1!” DING DING DING!
The audience roars as the referee raises the hand of the winner as the defeated lies motionless on the ground. The winner himself is wavering, having obvious trouble keeping himself standing straight. His face is bloody, his lip is busted and he has bruises everywhere. His white wifebeater is stained with blood and sweat. He drops his hand and looks like he’s about to faint, when his coach (?) comes running to him and catches him at the last moment, holding a water bottle to his mouth and making him drink. The boxer holds on to his coach like a lifeline, swallowing big gulps of water before straightening up and throwing his fist to the air, letting out a victorious yell.
He slumps back to his coach's embrace and lets himself be led off the ring, the coach supporting him carefully so he doesn’t trip. Your eyes are following them, as you are sitting at the bar, sipping your drink.
They take a stop at the promoters booth where they collect their cash prize and bet money, the coach pocketing the hefty stack of dollars. They talk a little bit more, probably about the possibilities for future matches, before disappearing somewhere in the backstage dressing rooms.
You turn your head back to the stage. The host is already in the ring, trying to introduce the next match’s fighters, but the audience is still yelling the winner’s name like in a trance. San, and he’s obviously the star of tonight’s event.
You finish your drink, hop off the bar stool and head to the backstage.
~~~
It doesn’t take long to find the dressing room where they are at - there aren't that many and most of them are empty. You find them in the last one and you know it’s the one where they are immediately - the door is not completely closed and the lights are on.
You push the door more open and lean in the doorway. San is half-sitting half-lying on a little dinky sofa and his coach is kneeling in front of him, cleaning his wounds. He seems to be talking to San in a calm, low voice, but you can’t make up the words. It feels very intimate. San’s eyes are closed and his coach is turned away from you so neither can see you standing there. It gives you a chance to observe them for a bit.
San is really handsome. That’s obvious and it’s also the reason why you’re there. His face is naturally beautiful, even marred with scratches and wounds, his hair jet black with strands falling into his face in a charming way. His body is muscular and strong with broad arms, big chest and narrow waist. He’s the epitome of deadly power - silent, strong, but agile.
His coach - well. You would lie if you said he’s not handsome. He’s nicely built, the pecs peeking from his unbuttoned shirt revealing that he’s more trained and strong than he looks at first sight. His face is also handsome, with his pretty cheekbones and beaky nose. But he looks so sleazy. He looks like he’s there to cause trouble and discussing anything with him is like handling a slimy snake, that’s twisting and turning and slipping out of your hands. He’s attractive, but in an infuriating way.
They haven’t noticed you yet so you clear your throat to get their attention.
San’s coach turns his head and stands up.
“Well hello,” he drawls. “I thought we’ve already gotten our reward. Did the bar owners send us a freebie? I’m Wooyoung, what’s your name, beautiful?” he grins and blatantly checks you out. His eyes run over you and he’s clearly enjoying what he sees. You’re dressed casually, in black skinny jeans, black shirt tucked into them and a leather jacket. Your long hair is flowing, as opposed to the conservative intricate bun you wear for your usual meetings. This one is not usual though.
You shift your weight and subtly move the side of your leather jacket, so he can see the gun strapped on your waist. It wipes his grin out immediately.
“I’m afraid not. I am Y/N Y/L/N,“  you turn to San. “I saw your match and I have heard a lot about you. I would have a business proposal, if you are interested.” He looks up at you from the sofa, but doesn’t say anything and closes his eyes again, as if he were too tired to even talk.
“That depends on what kind of business,” Wooyung cuts in.
“Excuse me, but I was talking to him, not you,” you frown. He’s already starting to get on your nerves.
“All the business goes through me,” Wooyung grins dangerously and puts his hand on San’s shoulder, his intent is clearly to show you who’s in charge.
“So, you’re his pimp,” you raise an eyebrow.
“I prefer the term manager,” he smiles at you. “After all, he’s always free to refuse any job I get for him.”
“Then let him hear me out and decide for himself.” you’re getting impatient.
“Are you some kind of a mafia boss? Because we don’t kill people,” starts Wooyoung, nodding at your gun, but you interrupt him.
“That’s not the nature of the job I want to offer.” you say. You don’t deny the mafia accusation.
You wait for the inevitable interruption by Wooyoung, but he just waves his hand to prompt you to continue.
“As I said, I saw your match and I was really impressed. I would like to buy your time tonight,” you say.
“For how much?” asks Wooyoung.
“10 000 dollars,” you reply. “Cash, half upfront.” you pull out a wad of banknotes and hold them up, so they know you’re not bluffing. San opens his eyes from where he’s laying sprawled on the sofa.
“Ooookay?” Wooyoung is obviously surprised. “And what would he do?”
“Well, I would like to make use of his…private time,” you’re not sure how to word it. You don’t want to imply you want him to prostitute himself to you, even though it’s exactly what you’re doing. You’re telling this to Wooyoung, but you’re looking at San. His eyes are intense and he seems fully awake and alerted, also measuring you up with his eyes.
“I- I’m not sure we do this kind of jobs..” Wooyoung hesitates.
San pulls on his sleeve. Wooyoung looks at him, and you’re sure there is some kind of telepathic connection going on, because after a few seconds of intense eye contact, Wooyoung turns back to you. “He agrees.” Wooyoung confirms, even though San hasn’t said a word.
“Do you have anything specific in mind?”
“Not really. Just, the usual,” you blush. You didn’t think that far, since you didn’t really expect San to agree. “Or anything that occurs in the moment. But, of course, it depends on how San feels about...performing. I’m not sure about the extent of his injuries.”
“I’m not that injured,” San grumbles. It’s the first time he speaks out loud tonight and it catches you off guard. “I can perform.” He has a nice voice, you think. I wonder how he sounds when he cums.
“Well then, it’s settled,” Wooyoung claps his hands and reaches his palm towards you. You roll your eyes and put half of the money into his hands and he shoves it into his pocket immediately.
“Do you want to move elsewhere?” he asks.
“No, here is sufficient.” You would never admit it too Wooyoung, but fucking in dirty dressing room at the backstage of the boxer match, with the door that doesn’t lock well… it gives you the thrills already.
“Okay,” he replies and throws himself on an old armchair on the opposite side of the sofa.
You’re perplexed. “Aren’t you going to leave?” you ask in disbelief.
“No, of course not. I need to keep an eye on him. And you.” he smirks and reclines back to make himself more comfortable.
“Bullshit. You just want to watch,” He’s so annoying. You’re almost fuming at the audacity of this guy.
“Well, let’s say that’s a welcomed benefit.” he winks and you scoff, turning away from him. There is no point in arguing.
You hesitate. Both of them are looking at you, awaiting your actions and it’s getting awkward. Ah, to hell with it, you decide, shrug off your jacket and with a few steps you come to the sofa and sit on San’s lap. He put his hands to your waist.
“Can I kiss you? Or does it hurt too much?” you nod at his busted lip.
“I don’t mind pain,” he shakes his head, putting his hand on your neck he pulls you for a kiss. The kiss is fierce and tastes of blood, he’s not hesitating to push his tongue into your mouth and fight you for dominance.
He’s trying to unbutton your blouse singlehandedly with his other hand and when he succeeds and takes it off you, he squeezes your tits hard. He breaks the kiss to move his mouth along your jawline to suck and lick on your neck.
“You’re really pretty,” mumbles San into your neck. “I would have done it for free, you know,” he nuzzles.  “Don’t tell Wooyoung that.” That makes you laugh a little.
You can feel him getting hard under you and you know you’re not doing much better yourself. You’re moving a little, rubbing your pussy over his cock, to get at least some stimulation for both of you, while he sucks and licks at your tits. You’re getting really into it and San’s hands on your waist help to guide your movement too. His breathing is getting heavier and he’s really hard under you.
“Do you want to make him come just from your dry humping? I thought you wanted to fuck,” Wooyoung’s voice interrupts your thoughts.
Ugh.
You stop moving and look back over your shoulder to Wooyoung, sprawled on the armchair, as if he were watching a movie.
“What’s your problem?” you frown.
“If you make him come now, he’ll fall asleep in like 3 minutes and then what? Will you expect a refund?” Wooyoung shrugs. “Just thinking of business.”
“Fine.” you stand up and unbutton your pants, but San bats your hands away and does it himself. He pulls them down together with your panties and you grab his shoulder for better balance while you step out of them.
San pulls you for a kiss, running his hands over the backs of your thighs up to your ass, slightly pulling it apart, making you realize that you’re standing bent over right in front of Wooyoung who has the first row seat to your bare ass and wet pussy. You briefly wonder if San did this on purpose.
San quickly unzips his own jeans and pulls out his cock. He’s already hard and leaking, the tip red and angry and you can’t wait to get it in you.
“Do you have a condom?” you ask San impatiently. Yours are laying somewhere on the floor in the jacket pocket, and it seems way too far now.
“He’s clean,” Wooyoung answers for him.
“How do you know that?” you ask, your patience running thin.
“Let’s say,” drawls Wooyoung with a smug smile. “I know about everyone he sleeps with.”
You frown, but you’re not going to argue with him. It’s hotter like this anyways.
You take San’s cock in your hand and slowly sink on it. You can’t resist looking at Wooyoung over your shoulder. He’s watching intensely and it’s clear he’s not unaffected either - his boner is starting to show and while one of his hands is on the armrest, the other is getting dangerously close to his crotch.
You slowly start to move and ride San’s cock. He’s a nice size and feels so nice and deep everytime you drop down. San’s hands are roaming all over your body, touching your ass, back, squeezing your tits while he’s sucking on your neck and collarbones, obviously trying to make up for the lack of his own movement in you. It’s not like you care much about that - he’s tired and injured and it’s not like you don’t prefer to just use a hot man like a toy. That’s actually why you’re even here.
The room is resonating with the disgusting squelching sounds as both you and San are getting wetter, your bodily fluids mixing together with sweat. You’re riding him tirelessly, gasping and whimpering, trying to get you both close to finish, when San suddenly moans so loud it almost startles you.
“What..” you’re confused, but you’re not stopping.
San is blushing. “He just licked my balls,” What. That makes you even more confused, but then you suddenly feel it. Wooyoung’s hot wet tongue on your asshole, his hands grabbing your asscheeks for better access.
Oh fuck. You didn’t even hear him approach. It feels too good to ponder about it, and just the sheer audacity of Wooyoung to dare to join like that riles you up even more. Not to mention that he’s just casually eating your ass like that, with full enthusiasm, tongue moving down to lick around San’s cock at the point where he’s entering your pussy. It feels like his tongue is everywhere at the same time.
“Was this part of the deal?” you laugh, red, sweaty and out of breath, but not stopping. You’re so close.
“It’s on the house,” mumbles Wooyoung, getting back to eating your ass like it’s his last meal.
He tries to push his tongue inside, and at the same moment San pinches your nipple just right, and that makes you come, so hard that San has to tighten his grip on your waist so you don’t fall off him as you move. He must be close too, the moment he senses that you have almost finished he grabs you by the waist with both hands and starts roughly thrusting up into you. It takes only a few thrusts though, and you can feel him coming in you.
You slump against him, tired and out of breath and fucked out. San’s softening cock is slipping out of your pussy and you don’t know what Wooyoung is doing to him this time, but it makes San squirm. Wooyoung moves his attention to you, licking your pussy from behind, slurping San’s come straight out of it. It’s overstimulating and you can’t come again like that, not yet, but you can hear Wooyoung’s whimpers and moans as he’s licking inside of you, and you’re pretty sure he’s getting off on it - so you let him, holding onto San while catching your breath.
It doesn’t take him long before you can hear him cumming into his own hand. After a moment, he breathes out and straightens. You look back and you see him offer his hand, dirtied with his own cum to San, for San to eat out off, like a dog getting a treat.
You drop down on the sofa.
“Does he not mind..that?”
San finishes licking Wooyoung’s hand clean.
“He knows to never bite a hand that feeds him,” he says. It makes you feel something.
San lies down next to you on the cramped sofa. He closes his eyes and seems to be out as light immediately.
“So…is that it?”
“I do actually have a real job offer for you. Come work for me.” you suggest.
“And do what?” scoffs Wooyoung. “Kill people? Or worse, die for you? Sorry, I don’t think either of us is interested in that.”
“Not necessarily. Although you could work the usual jobs if you wanted - protection, deals, and such. But if you don’t, I’m sure we can use San’s skill as an instructor for our new recruits. He wouldn’t have to fight anymore” you shrug. For a man like San, there is always something to do in your organization.
“We’re a package deal.” replies Wooyoung. The real meaning of his sentence is clear - what would I do? What’s in there for me?
“I’m aware. I could use an assistant and you seem more than capable,” you reply nonchalantly, although you already know you will regret it. Wooyoung will definitely make annoying you his primary job. You’re looking forward to this.
“Your lodging, food, salary, everything will be provided. You’ll live a more comfortable life. You don’t have to decide now, but I’m sure you would appreciate at least not having to live in a van, and- hmmppf” you get interrupted by San, who suddenly appears awake and surprises you with a kiss. He’s too passionate, tongue licking in your mouth, tasting of Wooyoung’s cum, and you don’t know if it’s desperation or gratitude, but you accept it. You wonder where he’s getting the energy for this though, but he’s almost mauling you with the fierceness of his kiss.
“Well, I guess it’s decided,” Wooyoung pecks you on the cheek and his lips linger there for a moment until he whispers in your ear.
“Boss.”
You don’t need a better answer.
He looked at you, even though Wooyoung knew he shouldn't.
Right now, right now Could I tell you right now?
His eyes should have been on the road, his hands should have been on the steering wheel, and haha, his thoughts should have definitely been about your safety and not about how he wanted to either drive off a cliff or tear the clothes off your amazing fucking body, but you picked the second choice yourself anyway, didn’t you? Just getting that shirt off like it’s nothing, revealing yourself like it’s nothing, but… God, Y/N, you are everything to him, he had no other choice.
아직까지 깨어있니? 오늘 너의 하루는 어땠니? 아무 일도 없긴 뭐가 없어
(Are you still awake? ; How was your day today? What do you mean, 'nothing happened'?)
Wooyoung wants it to be your fault. Wants it to be your fault that when you called him, his brain was filled with the image of you swimming in the ocean in that thing of a bikini that you wore to make your ex jealous even if he was not present on any day during the vacation except in your head, and he desperately wants it to be your fault that, after you had disappeared with some dumb-fucking rando from the beach-bar for the evening, Wooyoung scoffed in malicious glee that you let him know it hadn’t led to anything, grabbing his keys immediately to pick you up from the place you didn't find luck at.
What he’s trying to say is that you’re really in luck he didn’t grab that liquor that night.
가끔은 외면하려 해도 꽤 쉽지만은 않은 게 있어 I know 다 안다고
(I try to look away sometimes, but there are just some things that aren’t that easy, I know; I know it all)
But maybe being sober was the worst part.
He hid it well, Wooyoung thinks, or you were just too drunk to care, when you caught his curious gaze through the window, with your tits still sitting safely in the bra, your shirt already thrown out of the cabriolet.
“Woo!”, you laughed, and he can still hear the tenderness of your voice vividly, “eyes on the road~”
“Your tits looked bigger than I remember,” was his immediate answer, and your giggle was worth the cringe, “had to double-check.”
The last time he saw them was, what, middle-school truth or dare? Of course they grew since then, you were explaining in drunkenness and looked at your own set of boobs, while pushing them together, mumbling something about puberty, hormones and horny teenagers, but somehow finishing it off with, “Best friends bonding session!”
And Wooyoung is still puzzled about that.
내 앞에서 아닌 척 해도
(Even though in front of me, you pretend you don't)
Well, he grinned when you said it, but for no other reason that wasn’t just you looking so lovable under the moonlight, with your eyes sparkling with glee, and not because he found any sense in, god, whatever it means, “best friends bonding.”
“Bonding”? Sure. Seeing your tits had removed some boundaries— and in retrospect, mentioning that incident again must have been another little tease of yours, but be really honest for a second.
There are just some things “best friends” shouldn’t do.
… Shouldn’t have done, that is.
Bonnie and clyde, bonnie and clyde, one night
The nightly winds were hitting your open arms with you laughing full of life, when Wooyoung finally opened the roof for you. You’d been dying to do it, he had seen it by how you kept leaning outside the open window to feel the speed of the car hit your face, but he didn’t want to not see it. At least he still hates that he doesn’t know the expression you were wearing while you let out the most freeing, revivifying, crystal clear cheer.
He wants to believe that your cheeks were rosy, your eyes shiny, and that your lips were curled up into a smile, as you inhaled again and laughed all by yourself, watching the trees and mountains of the city pass by and draw long, ghostly trails from how fast the vehicle was moving.
It was extremely dangerous, all of it.
Who cares, who cares
The way Wooyoung drove without looking at the speed dial? God, so dangerous, but what’s way more dangerous is the way you became silent, and made him curious, made him believe that there were stars in the sky or something— and he thinks he’s still in the right for thinking that— and made him glance up to you.
Fuck, do you even know how hot you looked when you started to touch yourself down your bust? You probably don’t. You were feeling the textile of the lingerie scratch your fingers, warming your skin under the cold breezes, but when you cupped that perfect tit of yours, you threw your head back and fuck, he thinks if you had seen him you would think he was a pervert, and maybe he fucking is, because Wooyoung was definitely thinking the most perverted things he could do in that moment, all including his mouth, his fingers, his panging cock; Good fucking god, Y/N, you had his mind scorching, it only needed a little more spark and he would have exploded, right here and there.
친구 사이 친구 사이 alright
(Just friends, just friends alright)
So of course he tried to keep it cool as possible. Rested one hand relaxedly on the gear, the other on the steering wheel, and attempted to stare blankly to the front. Wooyoung ignored how you were arching your back to match the flow of how the air brushed against your ribs, tried to ignore how you let your fingertips disappear under the bra, and failed to not think about how delicious your nipple would taste between his lips.
친구 사이 친구 사이 alright
(Just friends, just friends alright)
He couldn’t take it anymore–  not being on you, in you, with you– and that’s why he said something.
“What do you think you’re doing there, bestie?”, Wooyoung remembers jokingly scoffing, driving into the highway so he didn’t have to think about the road too much, to give himself more time to admire the sexy body that you were touching.
“Nuthin~”, you lulled and he realizes now that Wooyoung had forgotten how drunk you’d been. Such a dumbass to think you were doing it all on purpose, isn’t he? You make him so fucking stupid.
“The guy really left you on the hook, huh?”, he spat, fingers gripping the wheel.
“Fuckin’ asshole left me so needy~”, you whined and maybe you tugged your own nipple or something, but he couldn’t have overhead that whiny, melodic moan that left your mouth.
“Yeah?”
“Mmhm~”
Who cares, who cares
What would you have done in his position?
That’s the thing Wooyoung is most curious about. If it had been him drunk in your cabriolet, feeling down his, whatever, his cock, wouldn’t you have offered a helping hand, too? Because you’re a good friend like that?
He will never know the answer.
도망가 도망가 너와 난
(Escape, escape, you and I)
Wooyoung drove faster to make you come down, he won’t even try to deny that.
With a loud, brutal vroom, he drove the last mile with so many thoughts pinging inside his mind, with you continuing to give yourself goosebumps all over your skin, admiring how the hairs on your body went up over your own touch— knowing that it could be him doing that made Wooyoung grow desperate.
“Why did you stop? Where are we?”, you asked, and Wooyoung remains having no idea. Just somewhere in the middle of the highway, with cicadas chirping and filling out the silence that followed after he turned off the car motor, the roof above you closing down. A few miles away, there would have been a legal parking spot waiting for him, but Wooyoung immediately unbuckled his seatbelt, so it’s safe to say he didn’t give a fuck.
“Still needy, bestie?”
Who cares, who cares
God, you were so needy. It’s like you didn’t wait a second to question him or get any reassurance that this was what had been on his mind, because maybe you had already seen his bulge to know he was needy too, or maybe— and this is what Wooyoung would like to believe— you just wanted him that much.
Fuck, cut him some slack, okay? Wooyoung was just that surprised to find you crawling over to his driver’s seat, planting your ass immediately where he needed it the most. It was fucking magical, the friction of your body grinded over his erection was making him grunt and grope your ass cheeks.
“Aw, are you gonna be my best friend in need, Woo?”, you giggled, getting your hands behind his neck, driving yourself into his hard-on that he didn’t know could get even harder. It extended painfully under his belt, but fortunately, you were too much in heat to let him wait any longer.
Till we die, till we die
“Shut the fuck up and let me fuck you,” Wooyoung cackled, and he still grins recalling how your gasp whirrs in his hazy memories.
It all feels so washed out, your impatient fingers unbuckling his belt, as Wooyoung bent the seat to the back, letting his head fall to his neck, as you got your lips pressed against his– just a lot of movements, a lot of feelings mixing up together, slurred into a motion of two people trying to have a fulfilling night.
Oh 너와 나의 마지막 일지라도
(Oh, even if this means our end)
Was it fulfilling to finally get a taste of your sweet saliva, your honeyed whimpers, when he grabbed you by your tits to prepare for sucking them numb? He doesn’t know it yet, but Wooyoung definitely can’t ignore how hard his cock has become in his boxer shorts to the memory of you looking down at him in awe, caressing his cheek, as he enveloped your perky tit with his mouth, immediately running his tongue over your sensitive nipple.
그럴지라도
(Even if)
The sounds, Y/N, your fucking sounds. Sounds Wooyoung thought he would never hear in his entire life, but definitely wished to hear once at least— and of course he’d be a fool to say he got enough of them, but making you whimper “Woo, fuck, please,” as he got his hand into panties and made you grind on his finger, and then hearing how your cunt squelched when you lowered yourself on it, is enough to make him cum tonight.
His hand is wrapped around his cock, face planted into his pillow so he can somehow simulate how it felt like being suffocated by your tits, Wooyoung recalls how tightly you clenched around his fingers, how wet you were, wet for him, just so fucking needy for your best friend, rutting your hips so his fingertip could graze your sweetest spot over and over again, moaning out “Wooyoung, Wooyoung, Wooyoung,” over and over again.
Would you remember me?
“Y/N,” he growls, and it feels embarrassing to do so, but Wooyoung can’t help himself, he’s becoming delirious because of you, the seam of his shirt becoming absolutely soaked in his mouth, as he bites into it. “God, fuck, Y/N,” he lisps again, thrusting into his hand in the same way he thrusted into you, right after you were trembling around his fingers, whimpering out your first orgasm but not being satiated.
Nah, nah, I'm just…
“You’re so fucking big,” is what you’d moaned out to boost his ego, but maybe it’s true, because Wooyoung does indeed feel quite big in his grip right now, craving your tight cunt, craving how it clutched around his girth, how hot and wet it felt like, when he fucked your eyes to roll behind your head, your spit glistening on your tongue, as your mouth fell open to never be closed again.
Alright 틀린 선택일지라도
(Alright, even if this is the wrong choice)
“Feels so fucking good, huh? Better than your dumb fucking ex?”
“Yes, so so much fucking better than his dumb cock, Woo, please don’t stop!”
And maybe that was the moment. The moment his head snapped, when it all fractured, his feelings, his five years of pining, watching you be with some dumb fucking pricks, when he, Wooyoung, your “best friend”, could treat you so much better.
With your hands taking off his hoodie, as he pistoned his hips into you, your warm sweat dripped onto his torso, and it felt like all the tears he’d shed for you had been worth it.
Alright 결국 후회할지라도
(Alright, even if we regret it after)
It didn’t matter how many tears he’d shed after, because the tears that flowed down your soft cheeks that night, with you weeping “make me cum, Woo, please make me cum so hard,” like he was pulling you by a string to mewl out words for him that still make his cock twitch, were precious droplets of your pleasure. And he’d do anything for it.
“Yeah?”, Wooyoung snickered, breathing into your face with a grin, feeling like he was owning the world by making you dumb on his dick, “You love my fucking cock, Y/N? You love your best friend’s cock?”
“Uh-huh, uh-huh,” you whined out, bouncing desperately over his hips that it was leaving your ass red, “I love your cock, Woo, I love it so, so, so fucking much!”
But somehow, you didn’t love it enough.
Oh baby Oh 널 울린 그 놈에게로 baby
(Oh baby Oh, even if you return to the guy who made you cry)
Wooyoung doesn’t want to think about it and just rut his pelvis into his hand so he can cum and unload in peace, but the thought of you being in his arms again, being used by your stupid fucking ex like a toy probably right fucking now, just makes him more aggressive, greedier, furious.
“Really? You love my cock, Y/N? You really love it?”
“Y-yes, W- Woo,” you moaned out, shakily, when he roughly pushed you over, your back landing on the steering wheel, a loud honk echoing through the empty streets. After Wooyoung’s eyes sunk in an angry, deep-seated red, it confused you, almost sobered you up, but of course you would turn sex-drunk in the matter of seconds, as he began to pound into you as if he was on a mission— a mission to make you remember.
Oh 이미 결과는 내 손을 떠났어 bang bang! (Oh, the result has been out of my hands anyways, bang bang!)
He could never cum like he did that night. It was raw, vulgar, dirty, filthy, absolutely pornographic how Wooyoung drove himself into you, moaning, grunting, breathing into your ear and sucking hickeys into your neck at every inch he got the chance to, so even if you’d wake up with the most hefty blackout, you could see what your best friend made of you in the mirror.
Just marks and signs of his infatuation all over your gorgeous body, and Wooyoung feels his jaw hurt, as he realizes how long he’s been biting down his shirt for imagining your love-bite bedecked breasts— Way too long, Y/N, way too fucking long.
Right now, right now Where you at right now
Five years, no, he counts a total of almost ten years of friendship with a sweet girl who remained fun and cheery, and then meeting her again as a woman who let herself be tossed around by some bastards because you don’t know what you’re worth, at least not worth to him.
Wooyoung felt rich with you. He felt like he had everything, when you wrapped your arms around him, once he’d unloaded his hot cum inside you with a moan that was lost immediately in the steamy, hot space of his car, and kissed him, kissed Wooyoung on the lips, just because you, well, felt like doing it? Everything.
“I love you, Woo…”
Where am I right now Girl
He’s so pathetic for thinking that you meant it.
I want, want you to know Babe I want you to know
“I love you too, Y/N.”
How much I love you How much I need you
But Wooyoung doesn’t stop.
I want, want you to know Babe, I want you to know
He doesn’t stop tensing his abdomen to his own touch, he’s given up on thrusting into his hand because it could never, ever feel like you, and Wooyoung spits into his hand again to somehow make him believe he’s being fucked by your wet cunt again.
How much I love you How much I need you
Wooyoung repeats it over and over again in his head, your voice, your words, “I love it,” “I love you, Woo,” and before he can feel his heart drop, his hand accelerates, running and speeding over his shaft and his eyes close down into a tight squeeze, cum spurting out his needy cock.
I want, want you to know Babe, I want you to know
The car still smelled of your sweet sweat, when he drove you to your place, lending you his hoodie because you, silly Y/N, had thrown your shirt out the window– and Wooyoung had sat there for a while, on his seat, staring into the the horn he had you pressed against, had you moaning his name his name against, had you cum, had you love him against.
How much I love you How much I need you
It’s sobering, yeah, that’s the word.
Wooyoung being the only one to see through your lies the second they leave your mouth, and while he knows that “I love you, Woo” had been the truth, “yeah, it’s better if we forget about it, I guess” was a ruthless fucking lie and he hopes you know that, when Wooyoung presses a bitter like on the beach-selfie you’d posted with him, presenting yourself in that bikini so you could finally catch a certain someone’s attention. “BFF4L” had been the caption. You little jokester.
Fucking heartbreaker.
I want, want you to know Babe, I want you to know
He doesn’t hate you, no, in fact, he hates that his cock immediately jumps back up once Wooyoung sees that picture again, with both of you smiling and grinning into the camera, holding each other arm in arm like two good friends are supposed to do, he hates that his hands remember how soft, sweaty and hot your skin felt under his touch, and Wooyoung hates himself that he was the one to have spoken out the question of, “we should probably forget yesterday, huh?”
He should have just shut the fuck up and fucked you again all his heart desired instead.
How much I love you
Maybe he’s really that slow, maybe he just didn’t catch how your face dropped a little bit when Wooyoung asked you to let go of the euphoric memories of feeling free, fiery and idolized in his car, return to the draining feeling of needing to be seen by other eyes.
It is a cruel task, but there’s a bond, a bond between you and him. A stupid bond which goes beyond the way you covered up your marks to meet up other men that summer– that stupid fucking bond which makes Wooyoung ready to grab his keys again, any time you call him out because he’s your best friend in need, your ride-or-die.
How much I need you
Wooyoung remembers you, even though he knows he shouldn't.
A/N: Another drabble while I'm on vacay because I'm literally dying if I don't write something and this is the best I can do while here (bruh imma eat up my long oneshots once I get home). This drabble...hurt me because I'm too single for this shit. Okay, bye, enjoy!
Tumblr media
               You really needed this. This vacation. It finally felt like all of your hard work had been paid off as you swum around in the sea’s crystal-clear salty water, submerging underneath the warm waves as your hot body finally cooled off. The sun was rather harsh today, beaming down on the beach, scaring off people underneath their sun-umbrellas, unless they wished to look like a hot dog by the end of the day. This vacation has been long awaited by you and your friends, having thoroughly planned for it for months and months. Firstly, you had to decide on which country to visit, and to your luck your boyfriend was adamant on visiting Greece, secretly having your back as you really wanted to go there. Secondly, you had to find a house for five people in a village by the sea and thirdly, the most difficult one, was to preserve your money for the trip. You knew yourself; you’d spend almost all of your money on souvenirs like there was no tomorrow, having zero self-control when it came to gifts for your family, and of course, yourself. You just couldn’t help it, there was a certain charm to them, one which you wouldn’t find at home. As you emerged from underneath the water, having almost ran out of air, you heard your boyfriend’s loud laughter in the distance, probably fooling around with his best friends. It were the two of you, your own best friend, and his two other close friends. At first, you planned on taking your time and resting as much as you could, to sleep off the long road trip, however, your boyfriend found himself quite energetic the second day after your arrival and decided he wanted to go sightseeing. You weren’t too happy about it at the beginning, having been one of the drivers, but you couldn’t help it when he started whining and acting cute, trying to convince you to join him and Yunho. San and your best friend decided on staying back at the beach house, promising to cook something delicious for the five of you by the time you returned. You really wanted to sleep all day, but at last, you gave in to Wooyoung, giggling loudly as he suddenly jumped on top of you, peppering your face with kisses, making you whine as he got his saliva all over your face, on purpose. You chuckled at the memory as you turned around and floated on your back, unmoving, the salty water keeping you on the surface, floating around peacefully. Your peace didn’t last for long, however, as suddenly you heard loud and violent splashing around you, before suddenly you felt strong hands gripping your middle, pulling you underneath. You were lucky enough to take in a deep breath of air, knowing very well it was your mischievous boyfriend trying to piss you off, as the two of you quickly came to the surface, brushing your long, black hair out of your face. Wooyoung was already cackling like an evil witch, squinting his eyes as the salt pinched them, making you grin at him in amusement. Serves him right for not leaving you alone.
“You just couldn’t leave me alone, could you?” You teased, making Wooyoung raise his eyebrows as he swum towards you, only his eyes out of the water as he acted as if he were a shark. It made you laugh, even more, when he tried pinching your skin under water, acting as if he were about to eat you. You slapped his hands away and started splashing water at him, making him turn around quickly, shielding his eyes as he barely got the salty water out of them a few seconds ago.
“Stop!” He shrieked, making you splash water at him even more, laughing as he started running away aimlessly, almost crashing into a kid. You apologized to the little guy while laughing, running after Wooyoung, terrorizing him. It’s not like he didn’t terrorize you, it was usually him disturbing your peace of mind, but that wasn’t so surprising. He could be quite hyper and a dumbass at times, never failing to either make you laugh until your tummy hurt so much you could barely speak or either he pissed you off so hard that you didn’t speak to him for half an hour. You could keep your anger for longer, but Wooyoung would start peppering your face with kisses until you gave in with a roll of your eyes, pushing his head away and telling him that, ‘fine, you weren’t mad anymore’, making Wooyoung giggle to himself as he carried on with his previous activity.
“Seriously, stop that Y/N!” Wooyoung was screaming now, trying to fight back and splash you too, but failing as you were right behind him, basically water bombing him. You heard the laughter of your friends from the shore too, and when you looked back, Yunho was filming the two of you, your best friend, Arin, getting up from her spot as she took off her shorts.
“You disturbed my peace, now you pay!” You shouted at your boyfriend as you didn’t relent on your attack, his whining turning into fake crying, not affecting you at all as you were used to his shenanigans.
“Christ,” You heard your best friend’s voice behind you as she swum towards the two of you, “People would think a whale was dying by the sounds Wooyoung is making.”
You started cackling at the words of your best friend, your attention diverted from your boyfriend, finally letting him catch a breath as you playfully splashed some water at Arin. She gave you quite the convincing glare asking you to stop and you smiled sheepishly as Wooyoung finally shut up, coughing here and there, making you roll your eyes at his dramatic theatrics.
“Who convinced me of coming on vacation with two literal children definitely does not love me—”
“Hey!” You scoffed, successfully splashing Arin fully in the face, “You should thank me you’re here, you brat, stop complaining.”
“Thank God Yunho and San are here, or else I would literally go nuts after spending two weeks with just the two of you.” Wooyoung tsked as he joined you, giving your best friend a side eye, making Arin stick her tongue out at him before she submerged and swum away not too far, enjoying herself in the water.
“We’re not even that bad…” Wooyoung muttered to himself as you looked at him with a smile, finding his wet hair framing his face quite attractive. He let it grow out recently, at your request, and you couldn’t stop looking at him right now, taken by his beauty. You wondered, sometimes, how he got blessed with such good genes, his jawline sharper than your knives and his eyes brighter than your future. Cheesy, you knew.
“I know I’m pretty, beautiful, I’ll make sure to take a selfie for you once we get out—”
“Don’t you dare.” You gave him a pointed look, your gallery being already full of his selfies. He’d randomly steal your phone and spam your gallery with silly selfies, sometimes even setting them as your background, making you lose your mind when you’d notice. He was a menace to society, and your own personal clown. As you sighed at your boyfriend, he narrowed his eyes at you and before you could react, jumped towards you, squeezing your bodies together. You huffed at the sudden impact and allowed his arms to circle around your shoulders, your own holding his torso. Of course, you knew what was coming, the first kiss he pressed against your skin was on your left cheek, then on your jaw, the corner of your mouth, your nose, your brows, finally your forehead and just as you were about to sigh, his lips captured yours, warm and familiar. He tasted like salt from the water and as your lips meshed together, you couldn’t help but smile, oh so happy to be here with him, and your friends, of course. Wooyoung couldn’t help it but smile as well as you pulled away, cupping his cheek for a second before you pressed a soft kiss against the mole underneath his eye, making his cheeks flush red. No matter how many times you’d kiss his mole, he’d still blush, finding it endearing and so soft, loving. You loved that mole a lot, it complimented his handsome face well.
“Look at you blush.” You teased against his lips, grinning from ear to ear, making Wooyoung scoff as he lightly pinched your skin.
“I’m not blushing!” He quickly defended himself, “It’s the sun, beautiful, it’s reddening my cheeks.”
You hummed playfully, pressing a kiss against his lips, “Mhm, sure, love, whatever keeps your masculinity safe—”
“Hey!” Wooyoung narrowed his eyes at you, lightly pushing you back. You chuckled and the two of you kissed again as you heard people approaching, definitely being your friends. You ruffled Wooyoung’s black hair as you pulled away and lowered yourself back into the water, watching Yunho and San as they raced towards the two of you, making Wooyoung laugh as he waved his hand at them. The two got to you at the same time, making San pout as he wanted to win, making you chuckle as you waved Arin over too, noticing the small ball Yunho was holding.
“We had to interrupt before you two lovebirds got too carried away.” Yunho said playfully, making you roll your eyes at him as Arin came to a stop between Yunho and San, grinning at Wooyoung as he tried splashing her. It didn’t last for long as Arin instantly reacted and kicked him underneath the water, making Wooyoung groan and hold onto you, his legs around your waist, pulling you slightly underneath, making you groan too. San chuckled and took the ball from Yunho, throwing it at Arin, interrupting the glaring match her and Wooyoung seemed to have started.
“Guys, let’s play!” San said with excitement, waving his arms in the air, motioning for Arin to throw it back at him. Wooyoung swiftly kissed your cheek before he finally released you and took his spot between you and Arin, being an asshole as he tried taking the ball from your best friend before she could throw it. Arin exclaimed in irritation and told him to stop, throwing the ball at Yunho, who caught it with ease and then aimed the ball at you, making you nod as you waited for him to throw it over.
Tumblr media
            After playing for at least half an hour, you and Arin decided to get out of the water and dry up a bit before re-applying your SPF lotion, trying not to look like a crab by tonight, if possible. The boys decided to go dive for a bit before they would join you on the beach, so Arin and you set up your towels and laid them out on the sand, resting on them. You would lay on your back for fifteen minutes before you’d lay on your bellies for another fifteen minutes, drying but also tanning, careful not to get a heatstroke in the process as you placed your white hats over your heads. Arin and you giggled as you playfully teased each other, telling stories you had to catch up on yet, her giggling about San’s cute attempts at trying to spend more time with her lately. He was a sweet guy and since he was Wooyoung’s best friend you spent a lot of time together, genuinely liking his character and his attentive care for others. There were few people like San nowadays, and if your best friend was into him, you would only encourage it.
Your head rested against your forearms as you could feel the blazing hot sun against your skin, turning it red slowly, signaling that it was time you retreated into the shadows, where it was safe and a cool can of beer was waiting for you. Arin was giggling about something as she was reading on her phone and as you were about to ask her to tell you too about it, loud manly voices started approaching the two of you, San and Wooyoung arguing about something childish as Yunho kept laughing harder and harder, interrupting your tranquility.
“Why are you two arguing again?” Arin asked exasperated, sighing as she put her phone away.
“San says what we saw was a crab, and Wooyoung says that what we saw was a seahorse—”
“Wooyoung knows what a seahorse looks like?” Arin’s comment made you laugh hard as you pressed your forehead against your arm, your whole-body rocking with how hard you were laughing. Wooyoung didn’t appreciate the comment nor your reaction as he glared at the back of your head, however, you remained completely oblivious to it as you continued laying on your stomach, fifteen minutes having not been up yet.
“I do!” Your boyfriend fired back at Arin, crossing his arms in front of his chest like a little boy, “And those were seahorses, not crabs—”
“Woo, they were red!” San sounded tired as he interrupted his friend, making Yunho shake his head as he sat down on his towel, letting the sun dry his skin up as well.
“I think what we saw were just big rocks, guys, they weren’t even red so I don’t understand why you’re arguing still.” Yunho’s determined voice made the other two finally shut up and you giggled amused, lightly kicking the sand off your feet. However, since Wooyoung was around again, your peace wouldn’t last for any longer. You felt a few cold droplets of water on your back before a heavy body was pressing against yours, cold and wet, making you cry out. Wooyoung lay on top of you, nuzzling his head in the crock of your neck, making you whine as your body was overheated by the sun and his cold skin pressing against yours made you shiver. It felt actually nice, but you didn’t appreciate your own boyfriend crushing you.
“You’re heavy!” You whined, shaking your bottom, trying to get him off, but it made Wooyoung soften his body more, keeping you pinned down.
“Am not.” He muttered and lightly bit your shoulder, making you hiss at him as you tried nudging him with your elbow.
“Get off.” You muttered but Wooyoung just chuckled and whispered ‘no’, sighing into your nape.
“You’re warm and comfy, I’m not getting off, besides, I’m also drying.” Came his lame excuse.
“Yeah, you’re drying while crushing me, Wooyoung, despite your beliefs you’re not made of feather, love.” Wooyoung just rolled his eyes and you felt him shifting, his body finally lifting off of you. Your lungs weren’t getting crushed anymore, you could finally breathe normally. You mouthed a ‘thank you’ as you sat up, dusting off the sand from your legs as you could see Wooyoung fiddling with your bag, reaching for your phone. He gave you a quick glance as he unlocked it, catching your glare, but acted as if he saw nothing as he took up his signature pose, puckering his lips at the camera, almost giggling when he heard your loud groan. Yunho chuckled amusedly as he intruded in on the pictures, posing with Wooyoung, making you shake your head as you had expected more from him.
“Are you hungry?” San asked the group, rubbing his tummy lightly. Arin and you nodded as Yunho held up a thumb, Wooyoung too busy taking selfies with your phone.
“Let’s go eat!” Your boyfriend exclaimed, finally putting your phone away, grinning as he quickly stood, pulling Yunho’s arm to get him to stand as well. As you and Wooyoung made eye contact, he sent you a flying kiss, winking at you cheekily, making you chuckle. Seriously, he could be such a man-child sometimes.
Silent Cry
Tumblr media
pairing : jung wooyoung x gn!reader
angst , hurt / comfort , a lil fluff if u squint
warnings : language , themes of depression and isolation , nudity (not explicit or detailed) , just heavy content in general
word count : 3.5 k
requested ? no
a/n : this one has been sitting in the drafts for quite some time as i just never felt good enough about posting it as it's a little different from what i usually write about . but i did promise a wooyoung fic , so here it is !! (and yes , this fic was slightly inspired by the skz song)
Tumblr media
It's not often you find yourself angry beyond reason, in fact, you'd like to think yourself a rather patient individual. But at the end of the day, a rather shitty one at that, there's only so much you can excuse or find reason with. Only so much silence and disrespect you can take before something inside you snaps and pushes down the logical side of your brain that's desperately trying to convince you "there's gotta be a good reason, Wooyoung would never purposely ignore you." Bullshit.
If he didn't want to go out tonight? Fine. That's not your issue. But standing you up without, at the very least, a courtesy call? You've wracked your brain all day, and there's just not much you can think of to justify the utter embarrassment and betrayal he put you through tonight. So you let your rage carry you the entire thirty-minute walk from your usual restaurant to the dorms and wait to be let in.
Not that there was much to begin with, your expectations having been severely degraded for the night, but the last twinge of hope you'd allowed to fester dies when your aggressive knocks on the KQ dorms summon San in leu of Wooyoung. He looks startled, but moreover just exhausted. "Y/N," He breathes out a greeting, quickly waving you inside. You don't quite pick up on it at first, but he sounds almost relieved to see you.
"Is he here?" You ask immediately, stepping into the empty area of the living room, between the TV stand and L–shaped couch. Yunho and Yeosang are there too, they peer at you through solemn eyes and let out their own sighs, matching San.
Yeosang rubs at his face, pulling the skin as he drags his palms down until they slip from his jaw and land in his lap. "Wooyoung? He's in his room."
You scoff, "That asshole–"
It's Yunho who moves first, standing and catching your arm before you can storm off to confront the object of your frustration.  "Woah, wait, what's going on?" It takes everything in you not to yank your arm from his gasp. You're mad at Wooyoung, not Yunho, you remind yourself.
"He's been ignoring me for the past three days and now he's missed our date night." You explain with a huff. Yunho drops your arm and looks between San and Yesoang. Their glances are far too knowing and not enough explaining, it irks you even further.
"What? Am I missing something here?"
Your impatience prompts another glance between the three boys before San finally elects himself to speak. "He won't really talk to us either," San frowns. "He's been acting kind of . . . weird."
"We got snapped at when we tried to offer grabbing dinner together earlier." Though Yeosang sounds just about as annoyed as you, there's something more behind his eyes that sends a pang through your heart. Worry? Helplessness? Guilt, perhaps? You try not to read too much into it.
"Well, he doesn't get to be an asshole about it."
"I agree," The group nods at your statement. "But listen, don't be too hard on him, alright? I don't think he's feeling too great." Yunho chooses his words with surgical-like precision. The phrase "I don't think he's feeling too great" sticks in your mind and leaves a bitter taste on the tip of your tongue.
"Noted." With that, you turn on your heels and start down the hall to Wooyoung's room, no one intervenes or follows this time.
You rasp three times on the wooden door with your knuckles, and thrice more when your first attempt yields no response. It's just silence, and after an internal debate between impatience and hesitancy, you reach for the knob and twist.
The door only opens but a few inches when a loud huff resonates through the pitch-black room. "I told you guys to leave me alone," Wooyoung croaks, his voice raspy and raw.
You ignore his request and allow yourself in anyways, shutting the door behind you and enveloping the room in near darkness. The poor lighting situation unfortunately doesn't do much in terms of masking the clutter you're faced with upon second glance. Various piles of clothes are haphazardly strewn about, making the room feel more like a maze than a habitable environment. Open and unfinished food containers cast a rather unpleasant aroma that clings to your olfactory senses and causes your nose to scrunch up involuntarily.
Wooyoung himself lays in bed, wrapped in a thick cocoon of blankets with his back turned to the door. A faint glow highlights the portions of his face visible to you and you can just barely pick up on a popular TikTok audio playing on a loop over the hum of the A/C unit.
You stop a few feet from him. "Oh, so your phone is working. Good to know."
Wooyoung's head whips around with lightning speed, eyes blown wide with surprise. "Y/N? Why are you here?"
You roll your eyes at his incredulous expression. "Do you have any idea what day it is?"
He thinks for a moment, hazy eyes scanning the room, and then you. He blinks once, twice, a third time. "Thursday?"
"It's Saturday, Wooyoung."
"Oh."
He visibly deflates, sinking further into the safety of his blanket and flipping back to his side, leaving you to spill your grievances to the back of his head. "Is that all you have to say? I waited alone for you to show up for nearly two hours, and all you have to say is 'oh.'?"
"I'm sorry." He doesn't sound it. "I'm not really sure what else you want me to say."
Your fists ball up at your sides with how apathetic he is. It's just so unlike him, giving you the cold shoulder as opposed to greeting you with eager kisses and excited giggles. A knot ties itself tightly in your gut and twists uncomfortably. You uncurl your fingers and wriggle them, trying to release the built-up tension. Forcing a calmness into your voice that honestly, you aren't sure how you manage, you speak.
"Woo, why are you being like this?" You cross your arms over your chest, preparing to protect yourself from another very likely short response from your boyfriend. "You could have at least told me you weren't coming, or texted to let me know you were okay. . ."
He huffs again. "Fine. I'm sorry I flaked. I'm an asshole, I get it. Now please leave, I'm not in the mood."
It should make you even angrier. His complete disregard for how he's talking to you, the careless attitude he uses to cover up whatever he's actually feeling. But you've known Wooyoung for too long, and something must be seriously wrong for him to behave how he is. The knot in your stomach coils even tighter and stretches into your chest, constricting your airways. You're starting to understand why Yeosang looked so worried.
You manage to suck down a deep breath that allows your prior frustration to dissipate just enough so you can keep a cool head, even if he can't. You choose your next words carefully, dropping your voice down to a patient whisper.
"I don't wanna leave without knowing you're okay, but if you say you are . . . then I'll believe you, I won't pry any further."
The room descends into an uncomfortable silence, broken only by the increasingly rapid and jagged breathing of the boy in front of you. Something halfway between a choked sob and hiccup bubbles up from the confines of his throat. The uncharacteristic sound is worse than anything you've heard pass through his lips before. It nearly splits your heart right down the middle.
"Baby," you coax. "Tell me what you need and I'll do what I can." You take a seat on the edge of his bed, and rest your palm where his shoulder is just beneath the blanket, lightly squeezing to try and initiate some form of comfort.
Wooyoung crumbles all too quickly for what your heart can handle. He shrinks even further as he curls into a loose ball. One hand shoots out from under his fortress to grip yours that rests on his shoulder. He cradles your hand against his chest, holding on the way a frightened child would. Cry after cry tumbles from his lips in a wretched sound, something akin to that of shattering glass on cold tile.
"I don't know," he gasps out. "I don't fucking know!"
"Okay, okay," you coo, using your free hand to repeatedly comb through strands of his messy, unwashed hair. "It's okay." You aren't sure what to say, and you're terrified you'll say the wrong thing, so you opt for nothing at all. You simply let Wooyoung cry, trusting that eventually, he'll let you know what he needs, even if it's just the rest of the night alone.
You aren't sure how long the two of you sit in silence or when Wooyoung's sobs finally begin to taper out to sniffles. Though what he says next sends your heart plummeting to your stomach and snags the air from your lungs.
"I just wanna be good enough." He confesses.
Your fingers freeze in his hair as you try to process some type of response, but the best you can get out is "What do you mean?"
"I just. . . I just feel— like shit. Like a shit friend, a shit boyfriend, a shit idol, a shit person. I feel disgusting."
Realistically, you know there's nothing in the world you can say in this moment to relieve the anguish he feels. You can let praise after praise for him fall from your lips, but they'd never reach his ears. Not when he's already convinced himself he isn't worthy of them. But that doesn't stop you from wanting to at least try. Even if it only relieves a fraction of what he feels. And you think maybe if you can't heal his mind, you can at least make sure he's physically okay.
You give his hand that's still clutching yours to his chest a squeeze. "Why don't we make something to eat, hm? You must be hungry?" But he shakes his head.
"Some tea then? Water?" He shakes his head again.
"Baby, you gotta do something to take care of yourself."
Wooyoung lets out a shaky sigh, "I don't want them to see me, not like this." You piece together he must be talking about his members. Which means no venturing out to the kitchen for food or drinks.
"Okay, maybe a bath then?"
He thinks for a moment, but surprises you when he, albeit reluctantly, agrees. Maybe he's caught on that you won't be giving up until he does at least something. Maybe he's just trying to appease you so you'll stop pestering him. Or maybe he just genuinely wants to. Whatever the reason, you're happy for it.
You slip your hand from his grasp and whisper that you'll get the water started and for him to take all the time he needs. When the tub fills and bubbles form from the bath solution you poured in, you come back to find him unraveled from his nest of blankets and sitting on the edge of his bed. You smooth his hair back and he looks up at you with sad eyes.
"It's ready whenever you are. I'll give you some time to get undressed and settle in, okay?"
The way he nods is robotic and the glassy and distant reflection in his eyes drives daggers through your heart. You wonder if he even heard you, but then he meekly rises to his feet, rubbing at stiff joints on the way up. He disappears to the bathroom moments before two knocks resonate from the wooden door.
You open it by just a crack, fully preparing to shoo off whoever it is as per Wooyoung's wishes. But when you're met face to face with a disheveled red-eyed Yeosang, you don't have the heart to tell him to go away. So you take a quick peek to make sure Wooyoung is shut away in the bathroom before opening his door the rest of the way.
Yeosang peaks around the dim room. "Is Wooyoung okay?" He whispers.
You offer up as good of a smile as you can despite the circumstances. You're not sure you've ever seen Yeosang so concerned. "He will be," you assure. The blond boy in front of you nods and mumbles out his own affirmations of Wooyoung's well-being.
"Uh, I know he probably doesn't want the extra attention right now, but could you give him this for me?" Yeosang extends a water bottle and two bags of snacks for you to take. "Oh– and San asked me to give this as well." He untucks what looks like a stuffed dog from under his arm and hands it to you as well with the utmost care. "Shiber is his favorite, but San said he thinks Wooyoung needs him more tonight."
"I'll let him know," you speak softly and Yeosang nods, but doesn't leave. He just stands there, nervously looking around and shifting from side to side. "Are you okay?" You ask.
"He scares me when he's like this."
"It's happened before?"
Yeosang nods. "Not a lot, but sometimes he just gets too caught up in his own head and shuts everyone out. I know he'll be fine, he always is . . . But he's my best friend, you know? It hurts."
You nod, understanding exactly what he means. It's hard, watching someone you love struggle and not knowing how to help them. "Yeah, I know. If it's any solace, he did get out of bed." You check over your shoulder to make sure Wooyoung hasn't reappeared. "Hopefully washing up makes him feel a little better."
The information causes a sad smile to lift the corners of Yeosang's lips. "Thank you for taking care of him."
"I'll try to keep you updated or let you know if he needs anything."
Yeosang nods, "Please do."
The two of you say your goodbyes and you shut the door back as softly as possible before setting the items Yeosang brought on his bed and returning to the door of the bathroom. You knock a few times, making sure it's okay that you enter, to which you only receive a half-hearted hum as permission. You peer in and see the tub still remains untouched. Frowning, you step fully inside to find Wooyoung stood in front of his sink mirror, seemingly lost in thought as he stares at his reflection.
His t-shirt lays discarded on the counter, leaving him shivering in just his red plaid boxers. His eyes are sad as they roam over his own figure, lips pursed in a thin line, expression one of disappointment. He takes in a deep breath, chest puffing out as it fills with air and deflates seconds later. Trembling, he wraps his arms around his torso and drops his gaze to the porcelain sink.
You take it upon yourself to slip into the space between him and the mirror, effectively blocking his ability to look even if he wanted to. You tilt your head enough to gaze at him from below, finding his eyelids squeezed shut and his jaw tensed.
Wooyoung's breath hitches when you place a gentle palm on his cheek, but he relaxes into the warmth of it twice as fast. You lift his head, thumb working to rub half circles into the damp skin.
You press a feathery kiss to the space between his eyes, and the action causes them to flutter open. "Hi, my beautiful boy." His bottom lip quivers the tiniest amount.
"C'mon, it'll get cold if we wait too long, yeah?"
He nods and tries to take one last look in the mirror, but you keep his face from turning enough to do so and he doesn't even try to fight you on it. Your hand slips from his cheek and reaches out for his, taking it and leading him over to the steaming tub.
"I'll grab some towels for when you're done." You offer, though it's more of an excuse to give him some privacy while he finishes undressing and slips in. You can only imagine how vulnerable he feels right now and it only feels right to extend that courtesy.
When you return he's fully submerged, covered by the opaque and foamy water. "I set out some shampoo and stuff earlier, but if you need anything else just call out, okay?" You say, crouching beside the tub and using the edge of it to rest your hands for balance. "Would it be okay if I cleaned up your room a bit?"
Wooyoung thinks for a moment, chewing at the inside of his cheek. "I won't if you don't want me to." You give him an out.
"Actually, um . . . Could you maybe just sit with me for a little? Please." His eyes flit back and forth between you and the still water.
"Of course," you whisper, using the tub's edge to push yourself to stand. You swiftly discard your own clothes and fold them up on the counter along with Wooyoung's. "Scoot up a bit," you instruct, and he does. Carefully, as to not splash any water, you step in and lower yourself into the warm liquid. Your back rests against the wall of the tub with Wooyoung positioned between your legs.
Taking a quarter-sized amount of shampoo in your palm, you begin lathering it into his hair and massaging his scalp. He stays silent while you work away, doing as you ask almost absent-mindedly when you guide him this way and that to rinse the products from his hair.
"Okay, lean back," you instruct one last time, guiding his head down to dip his hair in the water and cleanse it of conditioner.
"Thank you," he mumbles, turning his head a little bit to look at you. "You didn't have to do all that."
Leaning forward, you wrap your arms around his abdomen and rest your chin on his shoulder. "I didn't, but I wanted to."
"And I'm sorry for ignoring you, I'm so sor—"
"It's okay, I know." You mumble, lifting your head from its resting position just enough to press a kiss behind his ear. He relaxes slightly, and you continue. Peppering butterfly kisses down the side of his neck and to his shoulder.
The two of you sit in silence for a moment, the only noise a soft buzzing emitting from the fluorescent lights above. The warm water mixed with Wooyoung's even breaths work like a lullaby and you finally allow yourself a moment to relax. Your eyelids feel heavy, the stress of today's events finally catching up with your body. You rest against Wooyoung and continue to hold him, cheek smushed against his shoulder blade.
"It's okay if you want to go, I know you're probably tired." He suddenly speaks.
You hum against his skin, "I'm not leaving, not unless you ask me to."
"I just don't want you to feel like you have to, I can handle shit like this myself."
"That's the problem, Wooyoung." You sigh, not out of frustration or anything of the sort, but because your heart hurts for him and you're running out of ways to let him know you truly do want to help. "You're not a burden. Not to me, or Yeosang, or San, or Yunho— anyone. Why didn't you just tell us? You know we're there for you no matter what."
"I didn't know how," His voice breaks. "I don't like being like this. I hate who I am right now but I can't stop it!"
Wooyoung's shoulders tremble, and you can sense another pent-up wave of emotions ready to crest. "I just want to feel okay again," he sobs and you instinctively shift back, pulling him with you to recline. He sinks into the water a bit, head under your chin and resting against your chest. You reposition your arms for him to get comfortable, wrapping them around his midsection.
The final thread he'd been hanging on to finally snaps and Wooyoung completely shatters in your arms right then and there. His wails fill the room with perhaps the most heartbreaking sounds you've had the misfortune to hear. You hold him for what feels like hours, your own silent tears streaming steadily down your cheeks.
There's absolutely nothing you can say in that moment and you hate it. You hate feeling helpless, you hate that Wooyoung ever has to feel this way, and you hate the world for being so harsh to him. It isn't fair.
You can sit there and tell him everything that will be okay and kiss him better all you want, but at the end of the day, those are just empty dreams. It's ambitious to believe you alone could piece him back together in this moment. So you do the best you can, and just hold the broken pieces of him together so that none get lost. Even if they slice your skin and leave your hands bleeding, you'll make sure to handle them with the utmost care.
Yujin's POV
Caffeine can be addictive, it can cause insomnia too. And if a person consumes it almost daily, it can be hard to live without it.
How I wish my mother knew that. Because, if she did, I wouldn't have grown up with caffeine, and wouldn't drink it everyday. Wouldn't need to buy it from my local cafe nor would I be standing here. Outside the University students’ favorite cafe.
Refresh & Recharge Cafe
It was famous for being a comforting place, with students inside, studying and spending alone time, or hanging out with friends.
When I was in my hometown, there was a local cafe I really liked going to. It was calm, the owner even had a black cat which I loved.
But since I came to Seoul to study in KQ University, I keep missing both the coffee and the cat, her name was Nabi.
So now, as I stood in front of the Cafe, my heart was racing. I slowly stepped in and saw a small line, about 5 people, in front of the counter. I stood in the line.
I always heard all of my friends talking about their ‘barista’ crushes. Unfortunately, I never had one. Probably because an old couple ran the place. They were Nabi’s owners too. They normally worked there. So, I never really had a barista Crush.
Though, I loved seeing the couple. They treated me like their granddaughter. They were always so playful, romantic with each other.
Anyways, back to the present. There were just 2 more people in front of me.
“Caramel Macchiato with an extra shot of espresso.” I recited in my mind as another lady took her order and left the line.
There was another guy in front of me, blond hair. I couldn't see his face as he was wearing a mask.
“The regular.”
The guy in front of me muttered to the barista and the barista chuckled.
“When will you order something else, Sang?”
The barista, who's face I couldn't see yet as the guy in front of me was tall, spoke.
“Probably after you get a girlfriend” The guy muttered, grabbing his drink and leaving. The barista scoffed.
They probably knew each other, might be friends, might even be bro-SHIT. I forgot it's my turn.
I looked up at the barista, about to speak. But his looks stopped me. Beautiful eyes, sweet smile, a small mole under his eye. Kissable lips and a very boopable nose-
“Ma’am, can I get your order?”
The barista snapped his fingers.
Fuck, this is embarrassing.
I straightened up and said, “oh, yes, sorry. Can I have a Caramel macchiato with an extra shot of espresso, please”
He smiled, cute, before replying, “it'll take about 3 minutes.”
I nodded, watching him prepare the drink. He then handed it to me. I muttered a soft ‘thank you’ before sitting down on a table.
So is this how it feels to have a barista crush? I mean, he's pretty attractive. But I don't know anything about him. Not even his name. So I don't think so.
I had a weird relationship with Love. The person I had a crush on in high school had a crush on another person. She even came to me asking for advice to confess to her crush. I was, shockingly, not sad.
And yeah, I did have a crush on a girl. I'm Pansexual. I came out to my parents in my last year of high school.
While my father said it was fully my choice who I like and that he didn't have any problem, my mother just said, and I quote, “You can love whoever you want, and you can marry whoever you want. Just maybe adopt a child if your lover or you can't carry one. That's also optional by the way”
So, I guess, I'm lucky to have parents like them. My older brother however, told me to be careful even if I date someone of the same danger. He said “gender doesn't matter, a psychopath isn't always a man, nor is it always a woman. It can be non-binary or gender fluid.”
I understood what he was trying to say but you gotta agree with me, that was weird wording.
I took a sip of my macchiato, looking out the glass wall. It was a calming early September afternoon. Although Seoul was a rather busy city, it was calming in this part of the city.
I kept browsing through my brain for a new story idea while watching the scenery and sipping coffee.
Nobody's POV
Finally, as his shift ended, Wooyoung went and sat down at the table his best friend was sitting at. Yeosang finally looked away from his laptop and up at Wooyoung.
“Done staring?”,He nagged.
Scoffing, Wooyoung replied, “I wasn't staring at you, stop dreaming”
Yeosang rolled his eyes. “I wasn't talking about you staring at me, you dumbass. That girl. You were staring at her.” he gestured towards her in a way others won't understand.
“Me? Staring at who?”
“Gosh, you're so stupid. That girl. The one who was in line behind me, that one you have been staring at while making the coffees.” Yeosang sipped his own latte.
“I-I just thought she was pretty, okay? It's not a big deal…” Wooyoung drifted off.
“But dear Wooyo, don't you realize that your fangirls got very jealous of her? They were furious. I'm surprised they didn't actually try to do anything stupid.”, Yeosang teased.
“Come on! They aren't my fangirls, I'm not some typa celebrity. They just…like my coffee, I guess” Wooyoung explained, knowing really well that wasn't the truth.
“Yeah sure, it's the coffee.” Yeosang sarcastically claimed.
Wooyoung sighed, looking back at the girl one last time. because their cafe served very quickly and right in the line, they never took names. Which Wooyoung was regretting now.
“I wonder what's her name…” he thought while looking at her.
Suddenly, Yeosang made a camera gesture with his fingers and pretended to click a picture.
“Caught in 4k, motherfucker” he smirked and Wooyoung just facepalmed. He couldn't believe that this was his high school best friend. Or maybe he couldn't not believe it.
He looked out the window, taking in the calm atmosphere. Watching the trees carefully, he could tell that it was a windy afternoon. Thank God, he brought his jacket with him.
And there we have it! The first chapter of Brewing Love Next Door. This series was supposed to start way earlier but the drafts got deleted twice 😞 so I also changed up the story a little bit. This is just the beginning and we have a lot more to see! Have a great day!
And remember, a like, reblog or just a simple 'It was good' comment can make an author happy!
Love, Annie 💚
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Jung Wooyoung x Manager!Reader
Request: No
Synopsis: Reader has broken a rule that could get her fired. She's fallen in love.
Warnings: forbidden romance (?). Okay, here me out, this was supposed to be a cute platonic imagine about Wooyoung having a favourite manager but it didn't turn out that way. Probably kinda sucks.
By the time it’s time to film the dance practice video for ATEEZ’s latest title track, it has been so engrained in Wooyoung that it’s muscle memory at this point. So, when something off to the side behind the camera’s catches his attention, his dancing isn’t affected as he looks over at the woman sitting crossed legged on the floor in the corner of the dance practice room. Wooyoung’s only issue was keeping himself from grinning ear to ear as he took the chance to look over at her when he could.
Y/N’s going through the file of papers that contained ATEEZ’s up and coming schedules and what needed to be done and who was assigned to which task and all the other joys that came along with being one of the managers. She’s mouthing along with the words of the song and occasionally dancing along to it. She’d been there for every practice and got to sit on some of the studio sessions. The song was just as engrained into her as it was the men who sang and preformed it.
“Let’s take a break and go over it again one more time,” the PD-nim's voice cuts through the room, ending filming for now.
With that, she closes the file and stands up, holding the file to her chest so she doesn’t drop it. She stretches her legs, making her way over to her bag and places the file back inside it. As she stands back up straight, a familiar pair of arms wraps themselves around her as the person they belong to hugs her from behind.
“Wooyoung!” she raises her voice, knowing who it is right away. She manages to get out of his hold as she turns around to face him. “Yah! I told you not to hug me when you’re all sweaty,” she continues, scolding him playfully and hitting his shoulder.
“Are you leaving already?” he asks, ignoring your scolding, watching you hang your bag over your shoulder.
“I have a meeting with the stylists to go over the concept looks and outfits for your comeback stage,” she answers and looks at her phone to see she has seven minutes to get to the conference room she was meeting the stylists in.
“Are you coming back after the meeting?” he asks, his voice lowering, wanting to keep their conversation between just the two of them. She shakes her head, no. “Will I get to see you before you leave tonight?”
“Maybe if you catch me on my way out,” she tells him. “If not, I’ll see you tomorrow.” Before Wooyoung could say anything more, she leaves the practice room.
But Wooyoung doesn’t give up that easy. He makes up some excuse about needing the bathroom and darts out of the room after her. The PD-nim and Hongjoong both shout at him to not be too long.
“Y/N-ah!” he calls after her, only for her to ignore him as she waits for the elevator to reach her floor.
When the elevator’s doors open, she steps inside just as Wooyoung reaches her. Before the doors can close, he slides into the elevator. When the doors close, she turns to him, frowning. “What are you doing?”
“Why do I get the feeling your avoiding me?” he comments, brushing off her question and the disapproving look on her face.
"I'm not avoiding you. I’m busy making sure everything goes smoothly for your comeback,” she she retorts, refuting any claims of avoidance he was accusing her of. "I've been practically juggling two jobs ever since the manager who used to handle this with me switched groups. KQ needs-”
"Is it because of the kiss?" he interjects, cutting off her rambling.
Her body tenses up, her cheeks flushing a deep shade of red at the mention of the kiss they shared the night before.
Wooyoung has always made it obvious that he cares deeply for her. From the way his gaze always found her in a crowded room, the way he would look at her with adoration in his eyes, and the way he always made an effort to be with her or beside her. Wooyoung's affection for her was undeniable. And it wasn’t something happened over night. It had built up gradually of the two years she’s been working for them.
Y/N would be lying to herself and everyone around her if she said she didn’t feel the same. But her job was at risk if she ever gave into those feelings. She made it as clear as possible that her and Wooyoung would never go past just being friends.
Until last night happened. He’d kissed her in a moment of weakness on both their parts. She wanted to regret it so bad, but she couldn’t bring herself to. The more she thought about it the more she wanted it to happen again and the more she was willing to look for another job so it could happen again.
She was truly at a crossroads.
“Can we not talk about that?” she asks, even though she wants to. Using her phone as a distraction from looking at him, she sees she has a minute left to get to the conference room.
“I think we should,” he says disagreeing with her choice not to talk about it.
“Not here, not now,” she sighs as the elevator reaches the floor she needs to be on. He follows her out and gently takes her arm stopping her from walking away and turning her back to face him.
“Can I stop by your apartment later?” he asks, his voice once again only quiet enough for her to hear as someone walks by them on to the elevator.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea,” she says, without saying no. “You have late nights and early mornings. You need all the rest you can get. I’ll see you first thing tomorrow when I arrive.”
“But we can’t talk then,” he frowns with a slight pout.
“Maybe it’s best if we didn’t,” she sighs sadly, as she thinks with her brain and not her heart. She leaves him standing in the middle of the corridor, both their hearts breaking for something they want but can never happen.
He’s about to turn around and head back to the practice room when Y/N walks out of the room she just walked into a moment ago. He looks at her confused.
“I need to know,” she speaks before he could ask her what’s going on. “I need to know if your serious about us.”
“The last time I was this serious about someone was when I told Yeosang him and I were going to succeed or fail together,” he admits. “Look how that turned out.”
“Do you think we can make this work?” she asks, a hopeful and anxious look swirling in her eyes.
“I don’t know but I hope we can,” he says, also hopeful as he takes her hand and pulls her into an empty room, just as the elevator doors open alerting them that someone is about to enter the corridor. After the door closes behind them, he takes her face in his hands, tilting her head so he can look into her eyes. “What I do know is that I can’t ignore that I’ve fallen in love you. I never expected to but here we are. Say you love me too.”
“I love you, too,” falls from her lips before she has time to think about it.
Wooyoung smiles and kisses her deeply, trying to convey all the love he has for her.
okay but how would bouncy! wooyoung act if he were in the mafia
Omg, the way you just unlocked something in my brain with this question.
So from what we see in the Bouncy!MV, Wooyoung seems to be San's manager, making bets, taking care of all the funds, etc. So, if he was in the mafia, he would definitely be a money/asset manager.
He would always be dressed well, but with his shirts unbuttoned to almost the middle of his chest and ties hanging loosely around his neck. If his good looks can help him in negotiations, who is he to not use them to his full advantage?
His charisma would be unmatched and everyone would be putty in his hands. People would be saying "yes" before they even knew what they were agreeing to.
No one really knows how he does it, but he'd be able to turn the smallest of sums into huge fortunes with just a few investments. Picture The Wolf of Wall Street level skill, but with the black market and other not-so-legal financial schemes.
Takes on the absolute riskiest endeavors, but somehow always pulls them off. He'll boast about it too, of course.
Has the uncanniest ability to spot genuine artifacts from imitations. One real diamond in a sea of fakes? He'll be choosing the real one. Someone tries to sell him a fake painting? They'll regret it.
Always has his "lucky coin" on him. Does tricks with it, moving it between his fingers with incredible speed and dexterity. Often makes bets with it, and he always wins.
This was so much fun to write! Thank you for asking <3
