   A glitching camera noise can be seen before it all goes black. The camera went back on which how half of a face. The face shown was fair skin, grayish teal-eyed, warm brown short hair girl. The girl looked at the camera review and her eyes widen. She ran off-screen and sounds of things moving and things being thrown into view filled the room. The girl came back on screen with a big yellow raincoat and a yellow bird mask. The girl's head turned to her side, her eyes wandering before going out the door. 

   She came back with another girl around her age. She was wearing a darkish yellow dress, a black sleeveless jacket, dirty blonde long hair, and shiny bright blue eyes. The dress neckline was so long that you could see a light blue cloth that was dirty. The same with the belt. The belt was the same color and just as dirty. The girl also has black boots.

“Ok, are you ready Serena?”

“Ya, ya. I’m ready.”

it feels like a deja vu, the way GLASSHOUSE sent a notification for yet another yearly live show on youtube for december 31st, 2023. it didn’t take long before the timer ran out, and once again, the fans saw the familiar stage with dancers waiting in their positions. patiently waiting for the selected artists to appear, everyone prayed it would be their favourite to walk down the stage. however, instead of walking out, they sprung out from the ground with blinding lights pointed right at them. but before the artists could be shown, a small screen behind them started glitching, showcasing the said idols with masks practising in a big studio, doing somersaults and jumping over each other with success. once the video ended, another one started, showing the CRYSTYLE members talking with the masked idols and giving their pointers while an instrumental version of THAT GIRL'S INTERLUDE played in the back.

once the video ended and the main camera unblurred, fans went wild in the comments, noticing the talented JUNKO and DEE from RAEVIL, accompanied by PARADOX INVASION’s LIGHT and ADRIEN, all standing in one line. on the third beat, the lights brightened and followed the four idols as they walked towards the small stage closer to the primary camera.

keeping up with what some would say is a tradition, the quartet performed CRYSTYLE’s SHUT IT DOWN before they switched to a mashup of songs most likely produced for them. they performed five songs, excluding the intro, and one was made explicitly for LIGHT and ADRIEN to showcase their self-written lyrics. at the last beat of the performance, confetti were released, and as they slowly fell to the ground, the quartet bowed together and stopped to take a couple of breaths.

“ hello, everyone; this is SNS coming to you live from GLASS LABS! ” DEE enthusiastically yells out, followed by various hellos from other idols. LIGHT takes the reins from there, “ as everyone might know by now, we are the newest and hottest project group made by GLASSHOUSE, and we couldn’t be more glad to be standing here! ”

they wait for a few seconds as if knowing the live comments are being spammed with mixed reactions. while the quartet continues with their speech, a small timer shows up in the upper right corner of the video, cutting the idols off as it counts down from ten seconds. the four idols celebrate once it shows all zeros on the screen, wishing everyone a happy new year before the screen fades. right before everyone was about to turn the live-off, CRYSTYLE members showed up on the screen again, wishing everyone happy holidays and announcing a particular dance contest for everyone who wants to be involved. the point of the contest was for GLASSHOUSE to show the talents of the fans and possibly even to be cast by the company if it came down to it.

“ once again, this is GLASSHOUSE, and we wish you a happy new year ”, the screen shows, and the video ends with that sweet message.

randumb thoughts:

overall, liking it so far! (though there's very little that could make me Flat-out Dislike this game)

was spoiled early on The Twist of this one and i'm glad i was, because i know i would have missed it all and thought it was Bullshit and gotten mad at Kodaka even though it's pretty clearly broadcast (the way Kayayday keeps talking about the Mastermind and not the culprit, etc)

LOVED the POV baton pass. the aesthetic of it and the glitching. very clever and poignant

also: so like Kaede and Shuichi were definitely kind of in love right

(i say this as an Irumatsu shipper primarily. the Saimatsu split has the same Emotional Weight as other borderline-romantic splits in the franchise e.g. Sakuraoi, Fuyupeko)

Miu is my favorite character but i admit she's not painted Particularly Sympathetic, ever. at least so far. the shit is the point i know, but i do wish we'd have gotten like a single tear from her over Kayayday. (that may be my Irumatsu heart talking tho)

in fact, while i still think Junko is in the game somehow, i don't think she's in control of This Monokuma. this is not the Monokuma in other words. he clearly has...different motives. a different worldview. nice detail if i'm right

have had it confirmed for me there is a Mastermind, though that would be an interesting Twist if there wasn't, huh? (fangans take note! i'd love to see that)

i would want remakes of DR1 and 2 only to add as many CGs as this game has and Armament Argument minigame/sprites. want see Hina in armor defending Sakura's honor pls

this may be answered later or i may have missed it in a Kaede Free Time, but...Keebo is a robot. can he really capital-D Die? what does a Killing Game mean to him. would it just be an annoyance? etc

Kokichi fans, i'm sorry, but i don't Get It. that plus the symbolism surrounding his character just makes me eugh. no judgement, just, yeah. i admit it's early on and something in the Narrative could absolutely change this opinion, though

i still think there's More to Rantaro. his death means like, nothing emotionally, unless you do the Free Times apparently...but that doesn't feel like Danganronpa. if you don't do his FTs, he's just weird then goes to heaven. strange. but that's why i feel we learn more about him post-mortem. i'll wait and see!

this is def the worst dub and localization of the franchise. coming off of UDG, god, what happened. also a lot of the Voices just...don't match. ex: Kaito sounds too old (but he was a great Kazuichi!) and Kokichi's VA did such a great job as Fuyuhiko but sounds borderline offensive as Kokichi IMO

i do like Himiko's voice though, as well as Tenko's and a few others

i want to like Tsumugi as a character because she's very relatable but 1) i still Don't Trust Her and 2) her constant anime/manga references don't work for me where Hifumi's did. unsure why

hmm, i have got to go with fifteen favors. i feel like it encapsulates the way i write most of the v3 cast and really shows off how i like to write kirumi. i’m extremely proud of that fic.

oh, hmm! i’ll go wiiiiiiith two a.m. slow dancers. i ADORE this fic and hold it very close to my heart, and i do think it’s quite good, even though i’ve written a lot of amatojo since then!

most of my current work is for zines or collabs so i can’t share it, but i’ll share a little of an old WIP that i’ve been wanting to revisit soon…

It was in the hallway outside the garden. The simulated school was intact then, albeit a bit uncanny. Nothing like the glitched-out deterioration it was to become. It was almost like they were back in that place, before the Tragedy, before everything. Junko felt it. Maybe Chihiro did too, as she peered at Junko across the hall.

At first Chihiro had just been code. She’d been a vague presence, a random encounter, an event with an autonomous trigger. Junko felt her. She was close. Zeroes and ones and blinking and phrases, words coming into Junko, not heard, but understood. She didn’t see her, not yet. But Chihiro could see Junko.

Looking for RP partners for kamuegi role plays!

I have fallen into rare pair purgatory and am in dire need of kamuegi RPs! I don’t normally look for RPs via tumblr but I am getting ✨Desperate✨

I’m looking for 18+ (though preferably 20+) writers interested in multi-paragraph RP, who don’t mind a slower posting schedule- expect one or two posts per day on the high end, and one response per week on the low end from me. I don’t mind RPing over discord or through Cherp if you have an account.

I can write both as Makoto and as Izuru, though I do have more experience writing Izuru and have several pre-written prompts from his POV and plots to work with, which I’ll link below. For content I’m willing to write, I’m good with writing violent content, angst, plot, nsfw stuff, fluff, and more! Now without further ado, the prompts!

First up we’ve got an AU where Izuru was never discovered by Junko and remained in captivity all throughout Despair. However, through a lucky accident (or through a very deliberate use of luck if you’d like to play it that way!) Makoto ends up causing the destruction of the lab Izuru is living in. Leading to the both of them crossing paths while the building crumbles around them. Next we’ve got a post-simulation AU where Izuru woke up from the NWP instead of Hajime and is now working for Makoto at the Future Foundation. Izuru is… very, very fixated on Makoto to the point where he’s going behind Makoto’s back to kill in his name in order to make Makoto’s life easier. Though Izuru is very much in love with Makoto in this prompt, that hasn’t exactly stopped him from being just as morally grey and ends-justify-the-means as usual. (warning for canon-typical violence. This one is a pretty straight forwards AU where Izuru meets Junko while captive under Hope’s Peak just as usual, but while he is scoping out the world outside of the labs, he runs into Makoto. We can discuss where we want to take the plot from here, but we have options! Is Izuru convinced of Hope and leaving Junko’s plan behind? Is he intrigued by Makoto and all the more eager to run him through his paces in a killing game? And now, a very different take on how Izuru would react to waking up from the NWP! Which is to say that he completely he completely and utterly loses it. This prompt explores what it would actually be like for Izuru to suddenly be laden with emotions after waking up from the program… when Izuru has exactly Zero means of dealing with or interpreting those emotions. I feel like a lot of fan content frames gaining ‘emotions’ as a solution, rather than emotions simply being more sensory information. This prompt is an answer to that! (HEAVY warning for suicide in this one. This is an AU set after the events of DR1 but before the events of SDR2. Here, Izuru is working together with Makoto on the NWP and basically setting things up to round up the other remnants. Izuru is *also* very extremely attracted to Makoto.
