My Jude and cardan headcannons

-they would do each others makeup

-cardan would insist on painting judes nails whenever they had free time

-they would probably share clothes

-they would definitely share jewellery

-if cardan did something stupid and got himself hurt Jude would scold him but help him and be really gentle

-jude would pretty much rule elfhame while cardan gets drunk

-they would have a romantic dinner once a week

-cardan loves Judes mortal ears and jude loves his fae ones

-Jude and her family would show cardan mortal things including food and shops

-Cardan and vivi would be such and iconic duo, you can't convince me otherwise

-while Jude trains cardan would shout praise and tips thay would make no sense as he would be drunk

-every so often Cardan will buy Jude gifts, small things likes rings, a new outfit and even little daggers sometimes

-Cardan would try to lie to Jude (in arguments, for surprises and stuff like that) but obviously can't and Jude would laugh at him for it

-cardan would be super clingy and Jude would pretend to hate it but secretly love it

I laugh everytime I see people headcannon jude&cardan as being these super awesome parents because I cannot imagine them being anything other than Fucking Bad at it. Not in the same way their parents were but like. Jude has zero patience and very strange ways of dealing with compassion not to mention she's just busy as hell and Cardan has never in his life known a decent adult so he would be an over indulgent let the kid do whatever they want all the time forever with no consequences kind of dad. (or maybe a very anxious helicopter parent. jury is out on this one) This kid would constantly be stuck in the "but daddy said I could" loop and I can guarantee you they would develop the same weird ass matyr complex that Oak did.

Hi again! I should've mentioned the prompt would kind of revolve around a sexual innuendo. I thought it would be okay because I read your fanfic about how Cardan got his "tattoo." I should've still asked first though, so if you're not comfortable with it, then I totally understand.

Prompt: You know how "she's a real peach" is used as a way of endearment? Imagine if jurdan was in the mortal world and cardan overhears this. He doesn't know what a peach is and Jude ends up showing him one. Somehow Cardan ends up seeing the inside of the fruit & he realizes it looks like a woman's 👀 and he teases Jude about it. He even calls her his "peach" lol. I just have this headcannon that Cardan would tease her in ways like this and Jude would get embarrassed/mad, but she can't help blushing.

Jurdan headcannons

Jude and Cardan banter, a lot

When Jude is tired after her day at the palace listening to everyone’s grievances, Cardan hugs her and doesn’t leave her for an hour

When Cardan goes to bed but Jude doesn’t because she wants to work some more, Cardan stays awake and works, too. Then when Jude comes to bed she’s surprised and Cardan says, “I can’t let the love of my life stay awake and work alone.” and then Jurdan go to bed and they cuddle (Jude is the little spoon) and sleep

When they’re with the rest of the family for movie night in winter, Jurdan share a blanket and do the thumb twiddly thing. Jude lets Cardan win 

When they’re having dinner together, they play footsies. Jude ends up taking it to a higher level, one thing leads to another and they end up in bed hehe

Whenever she’s sleepy but has work, Jude rests her head on Cardan’s shoulder. Cardan strokes her hair lovingly and kisses her forehead

When Cardan is sleepy but has work, he pouts at Jude. Kebause they’ve developed a non-verbal language, Jude knows what he wants. She hugs him around the waist and kisses him on the cheek, except Cardan turns his face and she ends up kissing him on the lips instead

Cardan gets better at swordplay. He disarms Jude one day and he’s so shocked that he drops the sword and whoops. Jude is astonished but then she puts him on swordpoint. Cardan turns to her with a blinding smile and her lips curve into a smile involuntarily in turn. Then she brings him closer and nuzzles her nose with his. And then kisses him :D

One day when Jude can’t figure out the solution to a problem, she’s frowning in the distance. When Cardan comes up to her to talk to her about something, he sees her pouting and can’t resist pinching her cheeks softly. Then she turns to him but instead of saying something, she burrows her face in his chest and slowly, her whole body relaxes. Cardan wraps his arms around her and they stay like that for a while 

They take a trip to the beaches in the mortal world (Cardan’s tail is glamoured) and when Cardan sees Jude in a swimsuit he tries to not show her too much of a reaction. Then he sees a guy looking at Jude. He narrows his eyes at him, goes to stand right in front of Jude, says she’s looking beautiful, and kisses her on the nose. Jude whispers if you don’t stop with the PDA, I’ll break your arm in his ear. So then Cardan takes a careful step back, waits till her attention is elsewhere and then swoops her in his arms and takes running to the water. Right when he’s about to throw her in, he glances at her face- sees her eyes shining, mouth pulled into a wide grin and stops awe-struck. Jude kisses him, he says who’s showing affection in public now? and then Jude just kisses him more in response 

When Jude is working and Cardan feels like doing nothing, he ambles into her workroom, sprawls over her lap and talks about anything and everything. Jude smiles and nods in time with what he’s saying and runs her fingers through his hair. Cardan strokes her ear and cheek and then Jude starts blushing furiously

When Jurdan have to watch over Oak one day and he can’t fall asleep, Cardan brings him to their room. He tells Oak a story while Jude is out getting snacks. When she returns, Oak and Cardan are both asleep. Oak is wrapped up in a smol blankie but Cardan isn’t, so Jude brings a unicorn blankie, wraps Cardan up like a burrito and kisses him on the forehead

When Jude is feeling lazy, she stays home all day and practices swordplay with the Ghost. When Cardan comes home at night, he sees that Jude fell asleep on their bed while she was working on her laptop. He clears the bed up and brings a fluffy blankie to wrap her up in retaliation for the time she did the same to him. When he finishes wrapping her up, he kisses her on the cheek and gets up, but Jude grasps his hand and says Stay so then they cuddle within the blankie and watch a romantic movie. When a sex scene comes on, Jude begins blushing and hides her head in the crook of Cardan’s neck. He chuckles and grips her tighter on the waist and tells her to stop being adorable. She frowns up at him so he kisses her nose and then she melts against him

head canon that jude and cardan are rly into giving each other hickies, and jude hides them, but cardan will purposely show them off. like if he has a lot on his chest he will wear his shirt rly unbuttoned just to flaunt them

They are on her inside of her thighs, both faded and new, pink and blue. On her hip bones, under her breasts, scattered along her sternum, clavicle, neck, under her jaw. “Oh my god,” Jude’s eyes are wide, watching her skin flush pink in the reflection in front of her. Her hands touch at the bite on her neck, palm covering the mark as if it would go away; aware that she shouldn’t be surprised, but can’t help the shock she feels. Jude hadn’t much looked at herself in the mirror lately and when being dressed, no one had really made a comment, though they did well to cover it up for her. Jude had no idea she looked like this.

She’s still staring at her naked body when Cardan comes to stand behind her. A smile graces his too pretty face as he gently removes Jude’s hand from covering her skin. He bends his head to press a kiss there, then rests his chin against her shoulder, watching her through the mirror. “Too much?”

She can’t find an answer, thoughts of previous encounters causing her breaths to come shallow. Cardan skims his hands along the sides of her body, curving forward to cup her breasts, already hardened at the tips. He places another kiss to the side of her neck. His wet tongue slips out and flattens against the erratic strum of her pulse.

“Not enough,” Jude finally mumbles, head falling back to give him full access to her throat. His thumb flicks at her nipples and she lets out a gasp, “Cardan…” he teases her still, but they both know there’s not enough time, so Jude is left uncomfortably hot and just a tad frustrated, her husband fairing no better.

She’s on the bed now, fixing her hair in a way that covers the biggest of the hickeys, the darkest, the one that nearly broke skin with how hard Cardan had been sucking on her. Cardan has tugged on boots, before he gives her a look that’s partially amused. “Ready?”

Jude’s brows furrow, “waiting on you,” she says slowly, pointedly staring at his bare chest, worse for wear, because Jude doesn’t just bite where she can; she digs her nails and claws, draws blood when it’s too much, and in turn, this evokes Cardan to move harder, deeper, telling her to scream his name as she marks down his back, his biceps, where ever she’d held on tight to.

“Hmm,” he buttons just a the first few on the bottom of his translucent shirt, his chest still on display, and Jude thinks this is much worse than when he’d opted for short sleeves earlier in the week to bare the marks on his arms and biceps.

“You are… a bit of a menace,” Jude scowls, reaching her hands out for him to take, leading her off the bed and towards the exit. Guards at their door are alert, as always, but one or two do a double take on the marks along their king’s chest. One even glances at Jude with worry – as if this had been against Cardan’s will.

Her cheeks flush, and she grabs hold of Cardan’s hand, leaning up to say, “Maybe you should…” he looks down at her as she gestures to her own chest.

He grins, “Of course.” And then he takes the shirt off completely, handing it to the nearest person. Jude lets out a squeak of surprise, eyes wide at his back, marks she hadn’t realized were so stark against his skin are now on full display for the entire kingdom and all their animal friends to see.

“That… that’s not at all what I meant.” Cardan waves her off, tugging her hand so she’d follow him down the hall rather than stand still as she had been doing. “That’s the opposite of what I meant,” she continues.

“I quite like them,” Cardan tells her. “So pretty, how my wife marks me.”

“It’s not…it’s not very professional,” Jude tries to argue, hand coming up to her chest where she knows a love bite lays beneath her clothes.

“It is not all that surprising, with me as king, is it?” he says. He lets go of her hand, reaching to slide her hair away from her neck. His finger traces the outline of the deep red mark. “I’d wear your stab wounds if that weren’t so taboo,” and though it sounds like jest, Jude is always aware of the lies he can’t tell.

Cardan has an appraisal kink and we all know it

No one ever really made him feel loved or appreciated so now every time Jude says something kind to him, he literally melts and turns into a soft boi bean but also then can’t keep his hands off of her

Jude knows it to!

Like some nights she’ll just curl up next to him and say something like, “I love your hair, Cardan. The curls are so pretty and it’s so soft,” all seductively in his ear. Cardan’s heart will quite literally explode.

Jude totally uses it to her advantage when she wants things!

If she wants him to do something she won’t even ask him. She’ll just say, “Cardan, you’re one of the best bed makers I’ve ever seen. I’m mean seriously. Every time you make the bed it comes out perfectly.” And he will make the bed for weeks in a row before realizing what she did.

lets call jurdan baby eva becoz jude’s mom yk

A ball was held in the palace of elfhame, not like a reason was needed for it.

The king could be spotted on the throne, sipping wine, lounging on his throne looking bored. His queen sat beside him on her throne, also looking bored. People were chittering and chattering, it felt less like a party than a meeting where everyone was discussing different topics.

“I should go check on Eva” said Jude, to stall away. “Isnt that your twin? How about you keep her company” Cardan replied, “and I’ll go check on her”

“ughh fine” and so the queen walked off to have a chat with her twin while the king hurried off to little Eva’s room.

But when he got there, he could see trembling movements from under her blanket, he could hear soft sniffles.

Cardan walked over to Eva’s bed and lifted the covers. There lied his daughter, scared.

He carried her off the bed and into his arms. He wiped the tears on her cheeks, murmuring words of comfort and stroked her back. Nightmare, he figured

Nightmares were common for both Jude and Cardan so he knew how it felt. Nightmares still terrified him, and he couldn’t imagine how his three year old daughter felt.

Eva was clinging on tight to her father, afraid to go back to bed. So Cardan brought her to the place he always went to when he needed to take a breather: the garden.

Eva was still crying until they reached the garden. Cardan tried his best to calm her down, distracting her saying things like: “look at that flower!” or “look at the moon!”

They stayed in the garden for a while, taking in the nature. Eva finally calmed down. He reached up his hand and just like that, fireflies started swarming pass by them, like stars flying pass by.

Eva’s eyes twinkled at the sight, reaching up her hand as if to touch the fireflies.

She giggled softly and Cardan smiled in response. “Success” he murmured to himself

It was moments like this that made Jude’s heart swell. She was standing in the doorway, watching.

She thought back to when both Cardan and her were just children, sworn enemies, and how far they had come along.

She wouldn’t have believed this would be her life all those years ago. But watching the sight before her: her cruel prince, her wicked king and their daughter together, she wouldn’t trade it for the world.

jurdan headcannons as a apology for my last post lols

-before parties they would do each other’s makeup. jude would do cardan’s eyeliner and it would be horrible

of course she’d never admit it was bad and that he was so much better at doing it

and cardan always tries to find ways to tease her

and she’d always give him the cold shoulder if he did.

yes jude is petty like that i know she is

and to make up for it i know cardan would intentionally embarrass himself to make her feel better or just flat out beg

and this time he’s teased her so much about the eyeliner jude gives him the silent treatment

“ jude my love please talk to me i was kidding”

and jude would just turn back and put on her eyeliner

then he turns around. he goes to her wardrobe he knows how to make her feel less dumb

he resorts to wearing one of her dresses just to cheer her up

yes. cardan in a dress is something i support

she couldn’t even stay mad after that sight

she just laughed. for a good 15 minutes

and i just KNOW cardan is way taller

so the dress would be ridiculously short on him

“i’m so pretty though” he’d protest

and jude would just be unable to speak and just keep laughing

he starts pouting and being childish at that point

and she’d kiss him. just to shut him up.

but then oak walks in. with vivi and heather

and of course heather has her phone on her

so she takes a photo of him checking himself out, without him noticing of course

and cardan just BEGS FOR HER TO DESTROY IT

and he doesn’t know how phones work so he chases heather and tries to literally snap the phone in half lol

heather sends it to everyone. and i mean everyone in the family groupchat they have

oak just tugs on the dress and doesn’t realise it’s cardan lols

jude now has the photo as her mortal world lock screen

and cardan whines every time they visit the mortal world cause he has to see it

and every time he whines, jude kisses him. every single time.

and he never complains

“i still looked really pretty in that dress” he says

“no you didn’t it was kind of disturbing” says vivi

“it’s okay cardan. believe what you want and it’ll come true” jude laughs

Jurdan headcannon about Cardan hearing mortal music.

I'm not a writer, y'all, so you'll have to forgive me if this written like garbage.

.......

So after Jude and Cardan return to Elfhame after getting their family settled in the mortal world, Cardan receives a strange package.

It's from Viv.

He opens it up and there's an old school Walkman and a cassette tape.

On the cassette it says "Viv's Mortal Mix*

Cardan fumbles around with the contraption for an embarrassingly long time before he finally figures it out.

The mix has everything from "baby got back" by sir mix a lot, to "moonlight serenade" by Glen Miller.

Cardan spends his afternoon walking around the palace listening to this mix and looking for his wife

He obviously wants to share this with her.

He enters the garden as the last song starts to play.

It's "hey Jude" by the Beatles.

He starts giggling and decides to wait to to show the mix to Jude.

Weeks go by and Cardan memorizes the song in it's entirety.

One day he finds Jude is their chambers and she's obviously having a bad day.

Her face is red from holding back tears and she just looks tired.

Cardan tries to console her by asking her about what's wrong but Jude is stubborn and is tight lipped.

She asks for time. She'll be ok in a little bit.

Cardan feels helpless. He can't stand to see Jude like this.

So he sits down next to her, puts his arm around her and pulls her close to his side.

Eventually she loosens up a bit and rests her head on his shoulder.

He starts mindlessly running his fingers through her hair.

And ever so softly

He starts singing "hey Jude"

He's only a few lines in when Jude makes the realization.

She lifts her head up to look at him and he pauses to kiss her forehead and continues singing to her.

She just smiles and rests her head back on his shoulder.
