I dont think ive ever mentioned it here actually but bawkrya uses walking aids every now and then . . . Mostly his cane but he has a wheelchair. Rambling about that under the cut

He has several different canes. His most Well KnownTM cane is a really decked out fancy one that again Matches His General Attire. There is a knife built into it. He HAS used the knife before

That cane specifically has a big ass ruby handle/topper thing, along with other precious gems embedded in it. Its honestly not his most Ideal cane bc its a round handle but it looks banging

His other canes are either meant for outfits outside of his usual palette or theyre older ones from a lil after the war of flies. He usually uses the older ones at home bc they got better handles since u kno. They werent made w extreme aesthetics in mind

Its not that bawk doesnt LIKE his cane or wheelchair its just that hes really stubborn and very firmly believes he doesnt need something when he really does. Like oh ive hurt worse than this and didnt need my cane then so why would i need it now. Also he forgets that he has them until theyre in his sight + gets really antsy about taking his wheelchair out due to cleanliness

All of Bawks canes are able to fold. Xentheryn or akeldama will have one on hand if bawk doesnt take one with him.

He'll also use his tail as a kind of seat/prop to stand him up. Hes a ridgie and To Me their tails r really strong and able to go rigid no pun intended in a way that the ridge can lean on them. Like kangaroos . . . . . . .

Bawk has a pretty noticeable limp at all times. One of the perma-wounds from his curse is on his right thigh, and that wound specifically really fucked his knee. On top of this the constant bleeding and regenerating blood is really exhausting for him to deal with

Bawks chair has like handles that can be added to it should he want someone to push him but its very VERY rare he'll do that. Only Xentheryn, Akeldama, and Danilo have been permitted. His moms wld def b allowed to but he hasnt rlly visited w them while hes using his chair 😭

ehh sorta kinda? i like to think it all falls under just common decency. my adoptables are usually pretty low-stakes ($5 or less most of the time), so its not worth drafting up a whole tos for them. my designs dont have a super huge reach, adoptions are usually just within the lil circle of people im in, so its not smth i worry about

i have TOS/contracts typed up for Professional Commissions ive done in the past, but theres mostly nothing i do on this blog that id consider professional, as most of the commissions i do here are informal b/c its between me and a friend, not me and a Client.

if i ever decided to do adoptables Professionally then id probably make an official TOS, but rn its just fun and games for me.

like, the hero commission is introduced to us as this force for good, in the public eye theyre an agency that works with the top heros to keep everyone safe. but they're shady af, they ""adopt"" an abused and vulnerable child from a low income family, then abuse him further and train him as a disposable tool. they use him to kill in the name of the "greater good" and have him take the "unsavory" commissions, doing the dirty work that no one wants to publicly admit to in secret, always saying its the right thing to do, but is it? is any of that moral or right or just?? is any of that worth it? worth the countless people like lady nagant and hawks whose lives are stolen from them as children and are forced to become murderers for the state?? does their humanity not matter? how many people must be sacrificed for "the greater good" before its not worth it anymore? how is the commissions grooming of children to become murderers any different than all for one's grooming of children to become murderers? the only difference between dabi and hawks, is which side got to them first. all for one takes, abuses, and grooms dabi from childhood to become a murderer in order to create his ideal society. the hero commission takes, abuses and grooms hawks from childhood to become a murderer in order to create their ideal society. and yet one of these men is the number 2 hero and the other is a terrorist. what is the different? where is the line? have they not both suffered under the hands that guide them? are they not both irreparably broken by a system that swears its meant to protect them? are they not both failures? and hawks' internal struggle reflects this!! we see that the guilt of all the things he's done, the people he's killed, everything he's lost, and all he's sacrificed for the commission weighs on him. we see how it eats at him, how he doesnt consider himself a good person anymore, how he hates himself for every life he's taken, how he resents the commission for essentially enslaving him and caging him. how desperately he wants to be free and how the commission exploits his desire for a peaceful world by pretending everything he's done will be worth it for that goal. and he just keeps telling himself that over and over again, that it'll all be worth it one day, no matter how much he knows deep down that its a lie i think after his and dabi's original fight, it would have made much more sense for his character development for him to have defected or at least stop siding blindly with the heros. after the fall of the commission horikoshi essentially just stops giving hawks any development and stagnates his character after having learned absolutely nothing and their being zero consiquences for the heros. like dabi showing hawks murdering twice SHOULD have caused the public opinion of him to shift and for people to turn against him and for him to have to actually face and confront the person the commission turned him into and how much he hates that person and that should have been the tipping point for change but instead there's zero consiqunces, no one cares, hawks just doubles down on becoming endeavors new adopted son and just continues to follow him blindly and become a sexy lamp. it's so annoying and infuriating and one of my major gripes with the canon. hawks deserves so much better. he deserves to break

so we always think of the reader being far into the story when they're taken to teyvat

but imagine if the reader isn't all that far into the story

like imagine they're at the point where they just reached stormterror's lair

how would that effect things?

This is kinda like the child au, but with that I feel the reader gets more leniency because they're a child. No one can really harm or scream insults at a child without feeling bad (well I mean they could but we call those ✨ bad parents✨)

But with an adult reader that has little to no knowledge of the lore outside of the story they've completed (which in this case is stormterror's lair)

When they arrive to Teyvat it's all "WOAH IT'S SO PRETTY!!!! where is this again?" They're stumbling around like a dumbass, if someone were to come up to them saying smth about an all-knowing god, this reader would pout and complain about "spoilers"

If we want to go soft au, I'm sure if Aether or Lumine were to find you, they'd recognize you immediately. Your touch is the same as their god's, you can recount every moment of their adventure down to the detail. There's no way you aren't their god, and now you get to travel the world and help the traveler find their sibling without a screen in between you two!

When you act like an npc and don't even react to Zhongli, you treat childe like a kindly stranger, you look upon the untouched statues of the seven in wonder, you don't know who Ei is, you can't name any of the regions inside the nations (you don't even know the names of all seven nations), you don't know anything except for what the traveler has done to help Mondstadt. Everyone sees you as just a nosy eavesdropper in league with the Fatui or abyss or something.

Although, since reader is new to the game and hasn't gotten that far...

Imagine the traveler tapping an unlit statue thinking "I haven't felt my god in a while... surely they'll appreciate this" but it doesn't light up. No matter how much they tap and punch it, the statue doesn't react. Same with teleportation waypoints, chests don't open for them, they can't collect any materials their god needs from leylines, they can't talk to Katheryne to claim commission and AR rewards, they can't even do quests. They can't continue to find their sibling in Liyue without you.

Then you, dumbass strolling into Liyue, grabs all the unopened chests, casually lights up statues and waypoints.

I like to think this could delve into sexy thief au with reader dressing up to cover themselves, doing their commissions, quests, grinding primos like a responsible genshin player.

I do (attempt) to draw other things, a lot of the past year of my arting was actually trying to get better at things that aren't kaiju/creatures. I felt like there was a huge discrepancy between what I could achieve with drawing kaiju and what I could while drawing humans/humanoid characters. I redrew this icon for my tabletop idiot character a couple weeks ago to see if I felt like I was actually learning or not. I still have a lot of practice to do before I feel more comfortable, bcuz drawing humans is just hell in general, but I can see some improvement??

god it's embarrassing but I've been watching an unholy amount of anime over the past 2 years and it highkey helped me get better at drawing people?? like obviously i still need to do studies for anatomy/pose practice and whatnot, but i feel like a lot of anime art styles do a really good job of cutting down to the bare essentials of forms. Most can't afford to waste time on making a super detailed and pleasing art style when they got 20+ episodes to make per season. (Except Demon Slayer apparently, ufotable got that unlimited budget spell or smth.) I overthink like a mfer, and get too caught up in details, so doing simple sketches in that sort of style helped me gain a lot of confidence in understanding form language and stylization.

But can also be used on posts that are like "hey i hope u have a good day today and u deserve good things" bc i feel that way abt nyall :> oh and it can also b used as a tag for things that are too light-hearted to put in save a life!

"Reblog to save a life" - thsse are posts w p heavy topics! Donation posts also fall into this category bc i kno they can make some feel guilty as they can't donate, n i wanted to put that stuff into a neat lil tag.

"Spread them commissions like butter on bread" - my commissions tag! I rb a lot of commission posts, so if u ever feel generous n donate some muns, then hop into that tag or save a life to find some peeps to throw ur money at!!
