So there's Danny-suddenly a halfa- by definition both alive and dead. He is two things that are diametrically opposed. They cannot exist at the same time, so they don't.

Every time Danny goes ghost, he dies again. Each time the rings of light engulf him he has a moment again of being electrocuted to death. Phandom greatly enjoys giving Danny Lichtenberg scars, but electric shock has other common symptoms such as hearing loss, tremors, and seizures...

...all things Danny faces every time he comes back to life.

It takes them awhile to put it all together- that transforming and fighting makes it all worse- and by then Danny's been through rounds of medication for his seizures that do nothing and has a permanent level of hearing loss. (And Ancients does the hearing loss explain some of his troubles with school.)

Part of Danny is tempted, each and ever time, to stay a ghost where he doesn't feel the constant ache of pain and trembling muscles and muted world. Part of him is tempted to stay dead.

But he pulls through it. Things settle with the ghosts. Danny is able to hang up Phantom and being a hero and instead focusing on living. The seizures stop, the tremors and pain have good days and bad, Tucker helped him make some amazing hearing aides... he lives.

He gets an internship with the Wayne Foundation and their outreach helping children left permanently injured by the attacks in Gotham- inspired in part by Jason Todd-Wayne's own partial hearing loss from an explosion.

When they meet, neither of them quite know just how deeply the other person can understand what they've been through.

in regards to the constant dismissal of his aroace identity, i hate it when alastor 'fans' say and use the excuse: "he's fictional, he won't get offended."

like, you're right, but it can and will offend us.

when you see yourself being represented on screen, of course you'd feel enthusiastic about it — representation allows individuals to see themselves reflected in the media they consume, validating their identities and experiences. but when so many people take that representation and decide to disregard and discard it, it is so fucking frustrating. we finally have another character to be part of the tiny amount of representation we have, but then people don't even care about how much it means to us? like yeah, alastor won't get offended because he's not real, but it frustrates and annoys us. do you realize that it's also technically invalidating the aroace community? that you're invalidating our feelings? imagine feeling like you're finally being seen because your orientation is finally being represented in media, and people just decide to blatantly ignore, discard, and invalidate it.

media has such a powerful influence on real life, representation being a prevalent factor of it. there are numerous posts that dictate how people went to watch a movie/show or read a book just because a character depicts their identity in it — obviously, being represented is an incredibly uplifting and validating experience.

which is why seeing an aroace character in a popular show is so meaningful to us because we live in a world where romance and sex are literally everywhere and prioritized above all else. (and it's pretty obvious that alastor's on the repulsed end of the spectrum, but even if he wasn't, at least make an effort to acknowledge his sexuality instead of continuing to portray him as allo; aroace folks can be in relationships but it's not going to be the same thing with allos' experiences.)

any and every representation matters, but why does that seem to stop at people under the aroace spectrum? like y'all can't even let us appreciate the scraps of representation we have. we barely have any, so are we really that dramatic for being upset at how people easily disregard and dismiss our identities that are being depicted on screen just like that? is it truly wrong of us to want to defend and maintain the little representation we have?

Jonathan will tie/wear his noose differently depending on what the night's job entails. Or a scuffle with batman, a knot that can easily be released. For a date night, something fancy and artsy. For a typical night of fright, the casual noose is required

And Edward always notices these changes. He doesn't point it out or anything, it's kind of an unspoken way for the two to communicate. The noose is a message that only Edward can decode.

I find it so interesting how the points of views on qsmp are so important and no one is 100% right or 100% wrong. I think that's why it's so interesting to analyze the characters, but I also think it's important to explain which POV you're talking about.

For exemple, I watch the brazilians POV much more than any other characters - mostly for language convenience and because it matches the times i get to see live - so I know how much q!Forever is doing everything to make the island the best possible place in his position as president and how hard he is trying to listen to everyone. Because of this, he is away from everyone on the island because he is improving buildings, streets, trying to build the totem farm that he committed to and is missing even for his family.

However, in the pov of those who only watch for example q!Bbh and q!Baghs, q!Forever is just someone who has let power go to his head and is in his office all day doing nothing and not planning anything as president. And with that, people who only watch those povs get angry - and rightly so, since that's what they understand. To them, he is just a puppet of the Federation and not someone who is doing his best to listen to everyone.

And that's okay! There are different analyzes and different points of view, but sometimes I think I miss people saying that this is from the pov of someone who doesn't follow q!Forever and I feel that this would avoid a lot of fights and people calling it "wrong analysis" - and of course I'm talking about the Twitter, there's always chaos there for some reason and everything gets too big for no reason.

Like, it's not 100% wrong, it's just in another pov.

Something weird I’ve noticed that may just be me being insane: the fandom tendency towards making c!Tommy generally unintelligent.

Like, c!Tommy can be oblivious at times, but generally he’s a very perceptive character. He’s demonstrated multiple times that he’s very emotionally intelligent and does very well in situations where he has to console people, and beyond that he’s great at improvising plans on the fly and is a natural born leader.

I love genuine human moments during sex. Maybe something hurts, or feels awkward, and they need to take a pause and adjust.
