It was finally Double or Nothing. Tensions between Eddie Kingston, Jon Moxley, Santana, Ortiz, and Bryan Danielson and the dreaded Jericho Appreciation Society had been boiling over for what felt like a year, and what better way to settle it than with an Anarchy in the Arena match?
Naturally, Jericho and his buddies brought you into the rivalry during various promos. You didn’t care, but your boyfriend, Eddie was beyond pissed at the things they’d say. You tried telling him to ignore it and that they just want to rile him up, but Eddie is stubborn and goes off his emotions. Speaking of Eddie and his emotions, you — along with all the fans — knew this match would get chaotic and especially bloody given how Eddie feels about JAS, most notably Chris Jericho.
You sat backstage by a monitor watching the Anarchy in the Arena match get underway. You were so nervous about Eddie — and your friends — getting hurt. You couldn’t count how many times you held your breath as Eddie relentlessly went after Chris and Daniel Garcia.
This match was exactly what you thought it would be and more.
You were on the edge of your seat and absentmindedly playing with your fingers as the action continued. You were no stranger to seeing Eddie bloody, but this was different than all those other times. Why? Because seeing that look in his eyes as he marched down the ramp and towards the ring, soaked in blood and carrying that gas can, was beyond hot to you. Sure it’s not everyone’s cup of tea so to speak, and honestly, it never was yours either until you met Eddie. Someway, somehow this man makes everything a lot hotter and sexier than it should be, and you’re definitely not complaining.
You watched as he dumped the contents of the gas can on Jericho. You saw Danielson’s reaction when Eddie went to light it. You, like everyone else, knew Eddie didn’t like Bryan, he had voiced this before. You watched as Mox got between the two men, and Jericho capitalizing on the moment. Before long the match was over, and unfortunately, JAS were victorious.
You stood by the tunnel and waited as patiently as you could for Eddie to come through. Your breath hitched seeing all the blood that covered Eddie up close. Your eyes met his and gently pulled him to the side. “All that blood looks good on you. It really brings out your eyes.” You told him, your roamed his body before locking on his eyes once again.
Eddie wore an amused smirk, despite how pissed they lost and exhausted he was. “Is that right?” He questioned, that amused smirk never leaving his face.
Eddie knew full well just what he did to you, and he completely took advantage of it.
This short little flirtation helped Eddie forget about what happened moments ago in the ring. He was too focused on you to remember.
How about we grab our things and head back to the hotel so I can show you just how good you look?” You send him a wink paired with a suggestive smile as you glide your hands over his shoulders and down his arms, grabbing his hands in yours.
“That’s not gonna happen.” He flat out tells you. Your face falls, but you try to hide the disappointment with a forced smile and a nod. “Doll, we ain’t making it to the hotel.” Eddie whispers in your ear before tugging you towards the locker rooms with a mischievous gleam in eyes.
It took you a minute to process his words. Once they clicked, you were hot on his heels, matching mischievous gleam in your eyes as well. You just knew you were in for a world of fun.

Everybody's Free (Part 21)
Wardlow x f/Reader
Just like all my other stories, this has not been proofread, but please enjoy.
Gifs & photos do not belong to me.
Warnings: Some swearing.
Story idea by @lghockey
Main Masterlist ♡ AEW Masterlist ♡ Wardlow Masterlist ♡ Everybody's Free Masterlist
Summary: F/Reader is friends with Sammy & everyone in the Inner Circle. She is also a member of his vlog squad. They found out she has a secret boyfriend & they try to figure out who it is.
Daniel - Cash Wheeler ☆ David - Dax Harwood ☆ Ronnie - Shawn Spears ☆ Miguel- Ortiz ☆ Mike - Santana
Wardlow's POV:
Security was now rushing the stage towards him. Sammy opened his mouth but the mic was cut off thankfully.
But this all became too much for YN. I saw her bend over and cry. Her hands were gripping on to the chair that she was next too.
I rushed to her side and looked down. There was liquid between her thighs and going down her leg onto the floor.
And mixed with that liquid was blood.
Tumblr media
"No, no,no." YN said as she had tears streaming down her face.
"Come on baby girl. It will be okay. We just got to get you to the hospital. Everything will be okay." I said to her in a calming voice. Trying to hide the fact how scared I was.
YN bent over once more and cried out again. "It hurts Michael." I looked into her eyes and I knew what I had to do.
I gently picked her up and cradled her in my arms, like I have done so many times before.
I walked as quickly as I could out of the building, with our friends close behind us. Ronnie was already at the doors with the car, ready to take us to the nearest hospital.
~
Fourteen hours of labour. Fourteen hours of YN bringing our children into the world. I barely left her side. I made sure she got every single thing she needed and wanted.
I held her hand and rubbed her back with every single contraction.
Do I feel like she may have broken something in my hand? Oh fuck yes.
Did I dare say anything? No, not at all.
But hearing her wince and scream in pain made me absolutely lose my mind as I wanted to take her pain away and I couldn't.
When YN was asked if she wanted an epidural, she quickly agreed to it. She already told me she was going to use one if she could.
I gently pushed back her hair as she laid on her side to get the epidural.
After that, it wasn't much longer until it was time.
This whole part was almost like a blur to me. My main focus was YN and only YN. Praising her and letting her know how much I love her.
The first cry came and it was announced it was a girl. I had tears in my eyes when I heard the cries of my little girl.
Almost eight minutes later, the cries of our son was heard.
The both of them were laid on her chest to get that skin-to-skin contact and even though they were not cleaned up yet, they were perfect.
"We did it Michael." YN said as she looked up at me with a watery smile.
"No, you did it baby. You brought them into the world and they are just beautiful, like their Momma."
~
YN was sleeping and I was sitting next to her bed, looking down at our two babies. They are just perfect to me.
I kissed our daughter's forehead, muttering about how much I love her.
I did the same for our son. As I sat there, I started to wonder who they would look like as they got older, or if they will be a good mix.
I was so lost in my own world, I didn't even realise that YN was looking at us. I jumped slightly when she whispered my name.
"Hey beautiful." I softly said to her.
"Hey handsome. Have you got any sleep?" I shook my head no. A concerned look came over her tired face.
"I am perfectly fine. I will get some sleep soon. I just wanted to spend some time with them." I told her.
I stood up, with both of them in my arms still and leaned down do YN could take a child out of my arms.
I was going to speak again when the door open and it was my Mom and my sisters.
Tumblr media
YN's POV:
"Can we come in?" His Mom asked. He looked at me asking if it was okay and I nodded my head yes.
The three of them came rushing into the room. His sisters to him first, congratulating him and his mom came to me.
She looked down at her grandchild that was in my arms quickly and then looked at my face. She cupped my cheek with her hand. "You did amazing sweetie. I am so proud of you." And she kissed my cheek gently.
His sisters came to me and his mom to him and they too congratulated me. "Now what names did you pick?" We were asked.
"Well this little girl I am holding is Autumn Rose." Michael said.
"And this little one is Austin Michael." I said as I looked down at my son.
The three of them gushed over the names and I looked at the small family that has taken me in with open arms and made me feel like I belong.
The Wardlow family has always been accepting of me ever since the moment I first met them.
Having his family like me was very important to me as I really do not have any one left.
I told Michael once I really learned to trust him why I grew up with my Grandparents.
My own parents were and probably still are alcoholics. I was found wondering around in the middle of the night when I was about four years old.
A concerned neighbour who just got off of work found me and called the cops. The cops showed up at my house and found the house trashed with empty bottles and empty cans of beer.
I was taken away that night and my Grandparents were called. They tried to get my parents help, but they didn't want any help.
And that was the secret that Sammy was going to tell everyone. He was probably going to let other secrets slip but thankfully that didn't happen.
I was pulled away from my own thoughts when my name was called. I asked them to repeat the question.

This isn't hate just curiosity. What the roasted garlic fuck do you mean BCC is a waste? They've elevated the members and people they've fought with. Yuta's over as hell. Dark Order isn't a joke anymore. Hangman came out the other side of his feud with Mox a bad ass.
I mean the- you know what fuck it no one ever listens to me anyway so I might as well say what I want I meant William's time in BCC was a waste.
They fucking gold in the palm of your hand. You had William Regal leading one of the best factions wrestling scene in years and what did you do with it? Stick him and the boys in a fued against Chris Jericovid and his gang of bitchless assholes that went on for way longer than it should have, had said Jericovid disrespect him by bringing up his substance abuse and amongst many other dumb things YOU FUCKING TURNED WILL HEEL?! AFTER ALL HES DONE, AFTER ALL THE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT HES GOBE THEOUGH SINCE 2011 YOU HAD THE FUCKING AUDACITY TO TURN HIM HEEL? AND FOR THAT DUMB PIECE OF SHIT MJF?!?!?
Involving bcc in the fued with jas was a huge mistake it fucked up not only their omemntum but Eddie, Santana and Ortiz THEY DRAGGED THAT SHIT ON FOR NINE MONTHS WHEN IT COULD HAVE ENDED AT DOUBLE OR NOTHING
Like all the willfully ignorant positivity for aew makes me so mad it is not perfect it had never been perfect it will never be perfect open your fucking eyes its a disaster! And every single disaster hasbeen a completely preventable one, everyone involved running the disasters are just dumbasses fueled by their huge egos!!!
!Everything in aew is determined by how popular you are when Khan scoops you up from whatever other company you're trying to escape from ad a "ha ha gotcha!" And uses you for a few weeks until he forgets about you. And this happens over and over again and it will never stop. I think at the end if the day I just have to accept there will never been anything deep about aew. Khan and it's writing time seem permanently incapable of coming up with any decent or long term storylines and at this point it seems to be by design.
And for the record Hangman was always a badass. He didn't fucking need Mox.

Double or Nothing preview
Tumblr media
Adam Page vs. CM Punk - Page is making his 7th defense of the AEW men's world title. This is the first time Punk has been in a title bout since February 2013. The winner will probably be the champion going into the Forbidden Door show on June 26, in Punk's hometown of Chicago.
Both men are promising a hell of a fight. Punk keeps insisting that Page will shake his hand after the match, regardless of the result; Page clearly hates the idea. Page has made it clear he doesn't like Punk and feels he must defend AEW from what Punk represents, whatever that means. Punk is leaning into the idea that he laid the foundations for AEW and wants to mentor the new generation, and challenging Page "isn't personal." So either he's being sincere and Page is being paranoid, or he's turning (back) into a passive-aggressive egomaniac and Page saw it coming. It's very difficult to believe both wrestlers will still be good guys after this match.
I've been looking forward to this match. Back in the winter I realized the winner of the MJF vs. Punk feud would probably be in the title hunt, and I thought Punk made more sense at the moment. Some fans have been tough on Page's title reign (Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley are tough acts to follow), so he needs to either drop the title to a bigger star, or beat a bigger star to prove he belongs at this level. My preference is for AEW to really put over Page and cement him as their guy. But giving Punk the world title makes sense, and if you're ever going to do that, best to do it soon.
I feel like challenger is heavily favored to win. It's clearly a no-brainer for Chicago Made Punk to win his first AEW title shot, and bring the world title back to Chicago to headline Forbidden Door and All Out. Tony Khan is from Illinois, and AEW has consistently given Chicago special treatment, which is pretty great for me ngl. Even so, I have a soft spot for Page, and it'd be so amazing to see him turn back Punk's inevitability. So I'm pulling for him, but I also kinda want to see Punk win...can I just bet that all the wrestlers have a good time?
Jon Moxley & Bryan Danielson & Eddie Kingston & Santana & Ortiz vs. Chris Jericho & Jake Hager & Daniel Garcia & Matt Menard & Angelo Parker - This is billed as "anarchy in the arena," whatever that means. I'm pretty sure they'll just brawl all over the building until somebody gets pinned somewhere.
Improbably, this storyline goes all the way back to Jericho helping Kingston against Garcia and 2point0 (Menard & Parker) on November 26. It quickly became clear Jericho and Kingston didn't like one another, even as each of them ended up feuding with the heel trio. Jericho's teammates in the Inner Circle, Ortiz and Santana, helped out Jericho and Kingston in various tag matches. This led to Jericho questioning Ortiz and Santana's loyalties, culminating in the breakup of the Inner Circle on March 9.
Turning heel, Jericho kept Hager and recruited the Garcia/2point0 trio, forming the Jericho Appreciation Society. Despite the 5-on-3 disadvantage, Kingston, Ortiz, and Santana continued to feud with the JAS. Things got particularly ugly on April 27 when Jericho used the old flash paper gimmick to "burn" Kingston's face. On May 11, the babyfaces got reinforcements from the Blackpool Combat Club--Moxley, Danielson, and Wheeler YUTA--making it 6-on-5. Yuta is in Japan right now, though, so it's finally an even 5-on-5 fight.
The JAS is doing a WWE spoof where they're "sports entertainers" which makes them better than "pro wrestlers." The BCC is dedicated to smash-mouth pro wrestling, and the Kingston/Ortiz/Santana trio are all about fighting their way out of the streets. So I expect the JAS will try to do all the silly tropes we always see in wild brawls (in both WWE and AEW), but the babyfaces will cut them off with old-school, no-frills violence.
I'm hoping Moxley's team will win and end this feud once and for all. But I have a sneaking feeling the JAS will steal a win, to keep things going until AEW can get everybody into a WarGames/Blood & Guts match.
Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy vs. Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson - AEW hasn't really put much of a story into this, probably because the story practically writes itself. The Young Bucks (Nick and Matt) have always drawn comparisons to the Hardy Boyz, and when the Bucks really took off in the late 2010s it was natural to question which team was the greatest of all time. The two teams clashed on indy shows in 2014, and then briefly in ROH in 2017 before the Hardys went to WWE. In each of those series, the Hardys won the first two encounters, but the Bucks got the last laugh.
I suspect the winning team will be set up on a run for the AEW tag title, while the losing team will be put on the back burner. If so, that favors the Hardys. The Bucks don't really need a title chase right now, as they're probably headed for in-fighting with the Bullet Club and reDRagon later this year.
Thunder Rosa vs. Serena Deeb - Rosa is making her 2nd defense of the AEW women's world championship. Deeb has been built up as a highly skilled scientific wrestler that has all the tools to beat anyone. I like both of these wrestlers, but the feud hasn't been a solid hit--they both do their best talking in the ring, but the story has largely been told with promos. The money here isn't the talk, it's in seeing Deeb try to dismantle Rosa, and Rosa hauling off and punching Deeb in the face. Deeb could be a champion almost anywhere, but for now her role is clearly to give Rosa a win.
MJF vs. Wardlow - Wardlow's gimmick is that he's under contract to MJF as an enforcer, so he can only appear on AEW shows at MJF's pleasure. This became a problem when Wardlow turned on MJF on March 6. Since then Wardlow has wanted out of the contract so he can just sign directly with AEW. If Wardlow wins, he gets his release, but if MJF wins Wardlow will basically be barred from AEW and stuck sitting at home.
After MJF lost to CM Punk, I really expected he'd win the Wardlow feud to regain his momentum. But the way this story has been told, they've painted themselves into a corner where Wardlow has to win or he'll look like a GEEK~! I guess they could try to do some clever swerve where MJF wins, but I wouldn't count on it. Which may be rough for MJF, but I want Wardlow to win so I suppose that's not my problem.
Samoa Joe vs. Adam Cole - This is the men's final in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament. Hart died tragically during a WWF show in 1999, and this tournament is the first major pro wrestling tribute that's been authorized by his next of kin. Joe is the ROH television champion, but the title is not at stake.
Joe defeated Max Caster, Johnny Elite, and Kyle O'Reilly to reach the finals. Cole beat Tomohiro Ishii, Dax Harwood, and Jeff Hardy. AEW hasn't said the tournament winner will automatically get a title match, but winning four singles matches in a row is obviously going to put them in the title conversation. Since Cole's already challenged for the world title earlier this year, I tend to think Joe's the one who should be next in line. Plus you'd really want a babyface to come out on top in this thing.
Britt Baker vs. Ruby Soho - This is the women's final in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament. Baker eliminated Danielle Kamela, Maki Itoh, and Toni Storm to get here. Soho bested Robyn Renegade, Riho, and Kris Statlander.
I was struck by the negative reaction Ruby got in her go-home promo--the fans were clearly unhappy that she eliminated Statlander. That could be trouble in this match, where she'll be trying to play the babyface against a heel that's more popular than most of the babyfaces. On the other hand, I've seen frustration that Baker should have put over Storm in the semifinals, and there was frustration a few months ago that Baker beat Soho shortly after her debut. So maybe the fans will get behind Ruby finally avenging that loss. Unless Baker just wins again. I kinda think Britt's just going to win again.
Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus vs. Ricky Starks & Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland - This is a three-way for the AEW tag team title, currently held by Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus. The first wrestler to score a fall over any opponent will win the match and the title for his team.
Like most three-way matches, this is mainly about a feud between two of the three parties--in this case, Starks/Hobbs and Lee/Strickland. Boy/Saurus...I mean, uh...Jungle/Lucha is just here so it can be a title bout, and to advance the building tension between Jungle Boy and the team's mentor, Christian Cage. I'm fairly certain we'll see a title change, causing Cage to snap and turn on Jungle Boy. Thing is, I'm not sure which of the challenging teams they'll move the belts to. I'd go with Starks and Hobbs, but if Lee and Strickland win it wouldn't break my heart.
Jade Cargill vs. Anna Jay - This is for Cargill's AEW TBS championship. Anna is cool and all but let's be real--Jade is going to squash her in about two minutes.
PAC & Penta Oscuro & Rey Fenix vs. Malakai Black & Brody King & Buddy Matthews - Pac and Black have been feuding since November, but I think this is the very first time all three members of Pac's Death Triangle have been in a match against all three members of the House of Black. Every time these guys fight the action is great but I sort of don't give a crap who wins. I guess the House of Black will win, but I'm not sure it matters.
Darby Allin vs. Kyle O'Reilly - This is sort of an extension of the Hardys/Young Bucks feud, as Darby and Sting have been backing up the Hardys while the O'Reilly and Bobby Fish have backed up the Bucks. I suspect this was going to be Allin & Sting vs. reDRagon until AEW announced Sting had an injury of some sort and wouldn't be coming to Vegas. Bobby Fish almost certainly will be in town, though, so Darby will need eyes in the back of his head. I'd book O'Reilly to win to build to a tag match later.
Scorpio Sky & Ethan Page & Paige VanZant vs. Frankie Kazarian & Sammy Guevara & Tay Conti - There's a storyline here but it sucks ass and it's a waste of my time. Everybody in this match deserves better. I don't even know anything about VanZant and I just assume she deserves better.
HOOK & Danhausen vs. Tony Nese & Mark Sterling - This is scheduled for the pre-show. HOOK is the son of Taz, who turned into a meme when he was always hanging out in the background of Team Taz segments eating chips. Then he has his first TV match and the meme got hotter. Then Danhausen, who was already a weird wrestling meme, came to AEW and demanded a fight with HOOK. Then Nese and his manager Sterling got sick of both guys, paving the way for HOOKhausen, to the delight of wrestling fans everywhere. Look, I'm just telling you what happened, I don't understand it either. Anyway, HOOKhausen better win or I will be mad.

Nowhere to Run--Ch. 50
Tumblr media
Chapter 50
Jericho leaned against the wall inside the EVP locker room. The Bucks and Kenny were on the sofa against the wall, all three of them looking over at him with looks that mixed confusion and concern.
“It’s been over a month. Any idea when Kat might want to come in to have a meeting about bringing her back?” Kenny asked.
He sighed. “Probably not for a while.”
Matt groaned. “This backstage is falling apart without her. We can’t do this for much longer.”
“You’re going to have to do it for at least…” Jericho looked up, doing the math quickly in his head. “I don’t know… six months. Maybe seven.”
Nick’s brow furrowed. “What—” He stopped, grinning. “You’ve got to be kidding me!”
Jericho smiled back, happiness burning through him. He could feel it turning him inside out. His boys in the Inner Circle knew about Kat’s pregnancy, but they’d been sworn to secrecy as far as everyone else was concerned. It was so strange to him that it made him so happy to tell someone else—to share the news with people who cared about Kat. About him.
“Not at all,” Jericho replied. “She’s three months. We didn’t even know until a few weeks ago.”
Nick was the first one up from the sofa. He crossed the room and pulled Jericho into a back-thumping hug. “Congratulations!”
“Does Tony know?” Matt asked as he got up. “I’m assuming the boys do.”
He didn’t have to ask who Matt meant by that. “Kat told them about a week after we found out. She wanted to be the one to tell them.”
Nick made a face. “But she didn’t want to tell us? I’m hurt!”
“I’ll be sure to relay the message,” he laughed.
***
I sat on the edge of the pool, feet dangling in the water. It was warm and soothed the swelling that had already started in my ankles. My head fell back, eyes closed as I let the sun wash over me. It was mid-afternoon in Jacksonville. Jericho had just left no long before to go to Daily’s Place. I had hours to kill before he would be back with the rest of the Inner Circle in tow.
The weeks had passed more quickly than I expected they would. Time moved in a lightspeed tempo that made me question what the next few months would bring. I settled my hand on my belly and let my fingers feel for that little bump that had already started to show. It was something new and strange. Something Jericho had been mesmerized with ever since I’d pointed it out to him. So many nights I’d fallen asleep with his head on my chest and his fingers brushing slow circles on my stomach.
The thought made me smile. He had been indulgent before, but the idea of becoming a father seemed to have changed so much. It was like I barely had to think of wanting something and he had already bought it or done it. There was something beautiful about the way that he seemed to take such wonderful care of me and now of the baby that was on the way.
My phone rang, and I reached back to grab it from the lounge chair. Nick Jackson’s name showed up on the screen. My heart picked up just a little in my chest as I answered.
           “Hello?”
“Hey, Kat,” he said with that happy voice of his. I could imagine him smiling on the other end. “I wanted to say congratulations. Chris just told us.”
I looked back up at the bright blue sky and sighed. “Of course he did,” I said teasingly. “Seriously, though. Thank you, Nick.”
           “Are you nervous?”
           “Fucking terrified.”
Nick laughed. “I know the feeling. Matt and I were a mess every time Sam was pregnant.”
“It’s barely started, and I don’t know what to expect. I’ve read the books and every blog I can find, but I still have no idea where to start. To even think to start.”
“There’s a lot of moms and dads around here, Kat. All you have to do is ask.”
***
Jericho walked down the hall with Santana and Ortiz, talking about the trios tag match they had later that night. Long weeks might have passed since Kat decided that staying with AEW wasn’t the best thing for her, but none of them had gotten used to how it felt to be without her. It had taken far longer than any of them wanted to admit to figure out how to manage themselves again.
“Even if she wanted to come back, it wouldn’t be for long,” Jericho said as the three of them stopped to let one of the seamstresses by with her rack of gear. “You know that with everything she does that she’d be put on light duty within a few weeks. And you know as well as I do that it would drive her insane.”
Santana sighed and rubbed his hand over his face. “I’ll do all of lil’ mamí’s work if it means she’s back here. I miss that little firecracker of yours, Chris.”
He laughed. “I’ll tell her that. But I don’t know if it’ll make her cry or make her happy. She’s been a little… emotional.”
“I know all about that,” Santana said with a smirk. “When my girl was pregnant with mija, she was up one minute and down the next. Crying. Laughing. Some days… I couldn’t do anything right. I’d look at her the wrong way and she’d either scream at me or break down crying.”
Jericho nodded and started back down the hall, leading the way. “Is it normal for a woman to be…”
Santana’s smirk got bigger as he clapped his hand on Jericho’s shoulder. “Oh yeah. If you two weren’t fuckin’ before, you damn well will be now.”
“Haven’t you seen how exhausted I’ve been lately?” he shot back with a grin.
“Ata boy,” the younger man teased.
Jericho laughed before going slightly serious. “And it’s not just that. She’s absolutely beautiful lately. Her hair is so dark and soft. She’s glowing. All the time.”
Santana nods. “My girl… absolutely gorgeous. I swear, I wouldn’t mind if she was pregnant all the time. Enjoy it, Chris. All of it.”
***
I couldn’t stay awake no matter how hard I tried. My eyelids were heavier every second. As much as I wanted to watch the show, I didn’t have the energy. I knew that the Inner circle would want to come over to the hotel afterward. And I knew that once they got there, it would be hours before they would leave. Lately, they’d been staying and hanging out until two or three in the morning. As much as I missed them, it was becoming harder and harder for me to keep up the further along in my pregnancy I got.
The sound of my ringtone woke me up. I’d fallen asleep on the sofa in our suite, the TV playing the tail end of the show quietly. Jericho’s face lit up the screen. I stifled a yawn as I answered.
“Hey,” I said, surprised at the thick sound of sleep in my voice.
“Kat, you sound exhausted.” Jericho’s words were gilded with an edge of worry. I heard shouting and noise in the background. It was easy to make out Sammy’s voice from the cacophony. “I’m not bringing the boys over there tonight. You need to sleep.”
           “Chris, I want—”
“I know what you want, Katarina,” he cut in. There was an authority in his voice that I rarely heard outside of the Playroom. “But I’m putting my foot down this time. I never thought I’d say this to you. No.”
For a second, I was legitimately stunned into silence. Ever since that moment in my hotel room all those months ago—when he’d looked me in the eye and told me that I should be taken care of—there hadn’t been a single thing that I’d asked Jericho for that I hadn’t gotten. To be fair, most of my requests revolved around his time and attention, but my brain suddenly shouted that all of that was beside the point.
“Excuse me?” I sputtered after a moment.
The sounds in the background of the call seemed to fade a little. He must have walked away from the others. “You heard me, Kat. I said no. You need to rest. I’ll fly the boys down to Tampa this weekend if you want. They can all stay at the house with us, but tonight you need to rest.”
I sighed and sank into the sofa, simultaneously angry and relieved. As much as the thought of going back to Daily’s Place made my heart race with terror, I hated being in the same town as the rest of the Inner Circle and not being able to see them. I’d spent a year and a half of my life being with them, being responsible for them, taking care of them. It didn’t feel right.
           “Chris, you can’t…”
“Yes, I can,” he said, a dark thread beneath his voice that made me shiver. “And I am. I said no, and there’s no talking me out of it. They’re not coming back to the room with me. That’s final.”
I stood up, my heart rushing a little behind my ribs. For a moment, I felt lightheaded and dizzy. Before I could take a breath, I’d plopped right back down on the sofa. I let out an oof of noise and put my hand over my heart. It was racing so hard in my chest.
“Chris…” I huffed, surprised to find that it was hard to breathe. “Chris…”
His voice came out worried and tinged with panic. “Kat? Kat!” All the noise in the background faded away. “What’s going on? What is it?”
“Just got dizzy. That’s all.” I took a few deep breaths, hoping to calm my racing heart. “I’m okay.”
“I’m coming back. Right now.” I could hear him running down the back hallways of Daily’s Place. “I’ll be there in ten minutes. If you get dizzy again, call 911.”
I sighed. “It’s nothing. Honestly, I just got dizzy. It’s okay.” But I knew there was no arguing with him. “Be careful. Please?”
***
Jericho was in a panic the likes of which he hadn’t felt before. He could imagine a thousand different things that could go wrong. Fear laced through him at the idea that he could walk into their suite and find her on the floor. Passed out. Bleeding. Not breathing. The terror was almost more than he could take.
Almost there, sweetheart. I’m almost there. His heart was beating so hard in his chest that he was sure he was having a heart attack. It wouldn’t surprise him if he passed out himself and ran the SUV off the road. It felt like the drive between the arena and the hotel tripled in distance. As if he’d never get there.
The tires squealed as he skidded into a spot in the parking lot of the hotel. He couldn’t catch his breath as he burst through the door and took the stairs three at a time. There was no waiting for the elevator. He was petrified that he was going to be too late. For what, he didn’t know. Jericho felt the vomit crawling up the back of his throat as he practically ran down the hallway to the suite.
His hand was shaking so hard that it was hard to get the keycard into the door. When he finally did, he expected the worst. He was certain that he was going to find her in the worst of ways.
Instead, he found her cross-legged on the sofa with a pint of ice cream in one hand and a spoon in the other. Jericho sagged against the wall, a breath rushing out of him so fast that his head started spinning.
She looked up, her hair falling over one shoulder and those eyes bright green and shimmering. A smile slipped over her face when she saw him. “Hi,” she said, something soft in her eyes.
He felt his heart settle into its normal rhythm. “Jesus Fucking Christ,” he said as he raced across the room, yanked the ice cream from her hand, and pulled her up against his chest. He hugged her as tightly as he could, his lips settled against her forehead. “You scared the ever living shit out of me, Kat.”
She wrapped her arms around his waist and pressed her head against his chest. “I’m sorry. It was gone almost as soon as it happened, but you wouldn’t listen. I promise that I’m okay.”
Jericho cradled her skull in his hand. “The moment we get home, we’re making an appointment with your doctor. Full checkup. For both of you.”
He heard her sigh. For a moment, he thought she was going to argue. “Yes, Mr. Jericho,” she whispered, a soft sort of teasing in her voice.

Write me something with Punk & Eddie? Can be post-Dynamite tonight if you get inspired, any dynamic (platonic/romantic/antagonistic, whatever) is great :D
ughhhhhh your mind 🥰 😍 😍
there was so much to think about with this pairing.... I hope you like where I ended up 🥰
------
Eddie was outside the arena, smoking. It was late, and most of the roster had already gone back to the hotel... Including both Santana and Ortiz. Jericho and his cronies were nowhere to be found - Eddie had checked before coming out to smoke. Maybe he had wanted to jump them again (even if he was outnumbered and got his ass kicked for his trouble), or maybe he had just wanted peace and quiet while he had a cigarette. He wasn't sure, but such was often the way of his mind. Especially lately.
"That's a disgusting habit."
Of course. Of course he wouldn't get his peace and quiet. Exhaling sharply, Eddie would turn to face the voice of one of his greatest annoyances. CM Punk.
Toying with the idea of verbally sparring with or just flat out decking the man, Eddie would move his cigarette from his right hand to his left. Punk's expression was both amused and somehow superior, and oh, if that didn't make him want to deck him even more.
"It's better than your face." Eddie would shrug as he spoke, lifting his cigarette to take another drag. Just to prove his point. Just to piss Punk off a little bit more. Punk grinned, his tongue swiping out over his bottom lip, a sure sign that Eddie had at least needled him a little. Good. "So what the fuck, Punk. What the fuck do you want?"
"To tell you that you should stop fucking around with Santana and Ortiz, if you're not gonna get them victories."
"Oh you think I wanted that, tonight? You think it was my idea Jericho use that fucking bat?"
"No, I think you don't have the fucking ability to lead anyone to a better life, and that includes yourself." They were in each others faces then, Eddie's cigarette discarded on the cement and foreheads pressed together. "And they deserve better."
"And you think you can do it? Like you're teaching anyone anything besides how to throw bitchfits and go home for almost ten years when you can't hack it no more? I don't go home, Punk. I do the fucking work because this is everything to me." He was almost shouting then, and he'd shove the other man away hard before turning, closing his eyes and trying to collect himself.
To his credit, Punk didn't push back. He had caught himself against the wall of the arena, and he would swipe a hand through his hair. "Would you believe me if I told you I didn't come out here to fight?"
Eddie gave Punk a wary look before shaking his head and rolling his eyes. "No."
"Fair. I didn't, though. Something about your fucking face just brings it out of me."
Eddie could feel a storm gathering inside his brain and his chest, and Punk must have read it all over his face because he'd hold his hands up in a gesture of surrender. "I wanted to say that it's fucking hard to work with the younger guys. Get them over to where they need to be. To where they get more over than you, because that's what they deserve."
The fight was leaking out of him, and Eddie would nod, leaning back against the wall himself before pulling another cigarette out of his pack, lighting it and inhaling deeply.
"I did mean it when I said that's fucking disgusting."
Chuckling, Eddie would take another drag. "And I meant that shit about your face." They were both silent for a few moments, Eddie smoking and Punk leaning back against the wall.
It was Eddie who would speak first.
"Yeah, it's fucking hard. I mean looking at you is harder, but I know what you mean."
It was Punk's turn to chuckle, and he'd reach out, clapping Eddie on the shoulder once. "If... If you ever want to talk about that. You know where you can find me. Getting someone over, I mean. Not how much you hate looking at me."
"Thanks, 'preciate it." Patting Punk's arm, Eddie would watch him go thoughtfully. Before he was done, maybe he'd have to take him up on that offer.

"You're stepping into my world!" Dax yelled into the microphone, "And I ain't afraid to die!"
In my opinion, this whole rivalry with MJF and the Pinnacle has gotten out of hand. It was horrible and this Blood and Guts match coming up wasn't a joke or something to be taken lightly
I have been a part of the Inner Circle since AEW started. As Santana's girl, I was always by his side and the rest of the Inner Circle, but this time, I was beyond worried for all of them, especially Santana.
He asked me to stay backstage during their confrontation. That's when all of the nerves came at me hard. I always went out there with them. We wrestled matches together. I was a daredevil too so there were times when I got some spotlight. They all agreed that I would have no parts in this match. I understand that they were just trying to protect me, but at the same time, it worried me.
''You boys, you have a lot in your life. This match, it's going to change that. Hell, it's changing now. For example, where's your girl, Santana?" Dax sighed, smiling because he knew it would get under Santana's skin.
Watching backstage, I immediately got pissed off and worried. Santana tossed his sunglasses off and there was a crazed look in his eyes. Thankfully, Ortiz was able to hold him back, that becoming a more difficult task whenever Dax continued:
"You had a pretty amazing woman, man! She was even fighting with you guys, but do you realize a particular part of what I said? You HAD. You don't realize it, but she's going to be moving on to bigger and better things when my boy, Cash finally seals the deal and steals your girl. Not only that, but whenever Blood and Guts is over, she won't have a man to come home to."
It took Ortiz and Jake to hold Santana back. He didn't want to wait and they made sure no one could hear what he was saying. It was not safe for television, but I didn't blame him one bit. If I was out there, I would have slapped both of them silly. The only reason he even mentioned me was that Santana and Ortiz beat them. They tried to use me to get the advantage and failed.
Right after I heard what Dax said, I went straight to the guerrilla. By the time I got there, Chris and MJF were having their little standoff. Thankfully, it didn't take long for them to finish up and Inner Circle exited first.
The moment I saw Santana come backstage, I ran to him, hugging him. I gave him the best hug I could and he did return it, but something felt off. His body was limp almost and I tried to make him feel better whenever I whispered to him:
"Baby, please don't let what he said get to your head."
Santana was in a different state of mind, just patting my back and walking away. The fact that he did that almost made me cry.
"Y/N, you know it's not you," Ortiz said to me, trying to calm me down, "Just give him some time to cool down. You know how he is sometimes."
There were tears in my eyes. The Pinnacle was pissing me off to no end and I couldn't do a damn thing about it. At that moment, I threw all of that out of the window. I noticed they haven't exited yet.
I pushed my way past Ortiz, taking a microphone on the table right by the stairs to the stage. They didn't even bother to stop me, cameras still rolling whenever I got to the stage. MJF was the first to spot me, adding to my anger when he said:
"Aww, you came to join us already?"
"At work, I try to keep my composure, but you all have been testing me!" I groaned, getting right in all of their faces, "You all want to push me out of this situation because I'm a woman, but don't get it twisted. I've been in the Inner Circle since day one and have accomplished more than any woman here!"
For once, everyone was silent, listening to what I had to say and I didn't stop there, making sure I got in Dax and Cash's faces, saying:
"Woman or not, I ain't afraid to get into that Blood and Guts match. I will get my ass in there and beat every one of you like the bitches that you are! And you want to get to my man by mentioning me? Cash, you're going to steal me?"
Dax and Cash started laughing with MJF and Shawn, thinking it was a joke, but I quickly put the seriousness back into the situation whenever I slapped Cash right across the face.
"You look at me when I'm talking to you," I growled, getting straight to the point, "Dax was right. I am an amazing woman, but I can't move onto bigger and better things when I have the most amazing man on this earth by my side!"
Everyone loved what I was saying, supporting Santana, finishing with, "When Blood and Guts is over with, nothing is going to change. I am still going to go back to the man I love, the Inner Circle will always be on top and you all are still going to be some jobber bitches! Don't forget, I am a part of the Inner Circle too and next time you want to say something about me, say it to my damn face."
The microphone dropped hard whenever I walked away, Ortiz and the guys still waiting for me.
"Holy shit," I heard Sammy whisper, they were honestly a little scared from how pissed off I was.
"Where's Santana?" I snapped, all of them jumping when they heard the sound of my voice.
"He went towards the football field," Jake quickly answered and I left them at that, storming off to the football field.
As Jake said, that's where Santana was, sitting in the stands, his elbows propped up on his knees and his legs were shaking like hell. My anger was still up high and I didn't mean to sound mean whenever I said to Santana:
"So, you're not going to talk to me?"
"You know I am pissed off right now," Santana murmured, but I hit him with:
"And you think I'm not!? You didn't even see what I just did!"
Quickly, his head shot up, looking directly into my eyes, saying, "What did you do?"
"I put them little boys in their place. That's what I did!" I informed him, "I am sick of being left out of this shit. I will not let anyone get away with saying something about me and my man. You know I don't roll that way, Santana."
Santana covered his head with his hands, even more, frustrated and it made me frustrated too. He had every right to be angry, but he wasn't just frustrated. It was like he was scared of something, extremely insecure.
"Why are you being like this?" I asked, finally calming down with a deep breath, "I know you're angry. You have every right to be, but it's like you're scared or something. You know how much I love you. I wouldn't trade you for the world, baby. What he said is getting to you and it shouldn't be."
"Because," Santana groaned, standing up, "How would you feel if a girl tried stealing me?"
"Don't get me wrong, I'd probably try to beat her up," I chuckled, "But at the same time, I really wouldn't worry because you're loyal. You have always been loyal to me; I trust you and I know you would never just leave me."
Santana just got quiet, nothing to say after that, turning around so that he was facing the football field.
"Are you questioning my loyalty or something?" I asked, getting emotional again and he turned back to me, noticing how this was making me feel, near tears when I barely got out, "After everything you been through and you think that I would just leave you?"
"No!" Santana exclaimed, "You know-"
"I don't think I know," I cried, cutting him off, "I have never got such mixed feelings from you. Any time we hit a roadblock, we plow through it and keep on being happy. Why is this different?"
Finally, I was able to get him to tell me his true feelings, Santana looking at the ground, whispering, "Sometimes, I can't help but feel like you're too good for me and that someone may take you away, just because I'm not good enough."
"Are you crazy?" I chuckled, smiling through some tears, "Since you didn't hear what I said out there, I'll gladly say it again."
For me, it felt like forever, but I was able to get all of the bad and crazy emotions to go away. I wrapped my arms around his neck, holding his head, telling him:
"They were right. I am an amazing woman, but I can't move onto 'bigger and better things when I have the most amazing man walking this earth by my side."
My words put a big smile on Santana's face, growing whenever my thumb stroked his cheek, bringing his head to mine when I whispered, "When Blood and Guts is over, I am still going to have the man I love. I'm not going anywhere and never will. By your side is where I will always be. I love you with all my heart and soul, Santana."
A tear rolled down my cheek, but I was so happy whenever he wrapped one arm around my neck, the other around my waist, my face on his chest whenever he hugged me, keeping me close and not letting me go. It was just so comforting, so full of love and I never wanted to leave his arms, just stay in his sweet embrace.
"I love you too, baby," Santana whispered in my ear, "I'm sorry I reacted that way."
"Trust me, I wanted you to beat him up," I whispered, making the both of us laugh, "But don't worry. I have you, you have me and no one or nothing will ever change that. I promise you that."
"I won't ever doubt it," Santana smirked, picking his head up, mine following his, smiles on both of our faces.
"You know I don't break promises," I cooed, kissing his cheek, but I got a lot more in return.
Thank goodness he was holding me or I would have stumbled, his lips smacking into mine. That's not what he intended and I was perfectly fine with it because his kiss was like nothing I have ever experienced.
He kissed me hard at first, but it ended up being so soft and heartfelt, savoring every single element, from the touch of our lips, our bodies against one another, his scent filling my brain, all of the love he had for me, I could feel every drop of it and it sure was a lot. I made sure I gave all of that back to him, double confirming everything that I told him; another happy tear falling down my cheek when he kissed me softly one more time, keeping his head against mine.
"Don't cry, baby," He cooed, stroking my cheek, thumb poking at my smile when I said:
"I just love you so damn much."
"Like you said," He smirked, looking deeply into my eyes, planting a kiss on my lips, "We have each other and that will never change."

dynamite thoughts: 2/9/22
just going to post aew thoughts here as a kind of livejournal-esque revival. this is really just for myself, but i wanted some way of keeping track of reactions as a fun kind of record!
- this was maybe my favorite episode of dynamite that i’ve seen. genuinely thrilling top to bottom. khan is, for better and worse, very good at bringing hype to the table. when it delivers it’s magic. this had such an event feel to it. is this how people feel about their superhero shit? it must be. keith lee coming in was very much predicted, but no less fire. he got a great pop, and the match was an excellent showcase for him. dude just oozes charisma and is so agile for his size. this was my first time seeing him and i was grinning ear-to-ear the entire time. isiah kassidy was great here too. jeff hardy will definitely be coming in once that clause is up and i assume the hardy boyz will have one last run together on aew, which could and would be beautiful
- the punk/mjf feud has been so hit-or-miss for me. the match was really excellent and such a journey, but the promos have often been way too drawn out and repetitive. but i really liked this week’s for a few reasons: it actually moved the story forward by having punk put it out in the open to wardlow that he should break from them. mjf got to have his coronation bit which was entertaining in the cheap heat way it ate up screentime. “*twice*...in chicago” was genuinely funny, and then finally, aew did something they never ever do in their promotion which was to have a match materialize in the course of the show. there are a lot of tropes they overuse (interference, backstage interviews get interrupted and turn into a brawl, roll-up finishes in the women’s matches, etc etc etc) but they never do this one, and so it was really really exciting to not only have punk need to find a tag partner as the show went on, but to then have it culminate in a barn burner with punk/mox teaming against ftr. all of that made this segment work for me more uniformly than some of their others (although punk had a really lame line at one point, i can’t even remember it, i blocked it out).
- wardlow rules, total star
- inner circle team meeting (lol). i’ve hated this lame faction since i started watching, but this turmoil within the group has been really compelling and i’m hoping hoping hoping it leads to them actually breaking up. everything santana & ortiz lay out in the promo is shoot true, and they deserve a real push and not to just continue to be folded into inner circle antics. sammy has risen to a real standing place in the company but S&O haven’t gotten their proper time to shine. Santana in particular is a star who cuts a great promo. everyone did a good job here (except, as always, jake, who has no idea where he is). it will be such a damn shame if jericho doesn’t use this tag match to put santana and ortiz over. i don’t get what jericho gets from this if he wins, and all it would do for S&O is prove to the audience that, see, you really do need the inner circle, which would be such a shitty thing for their careers. so i hope they book this smart and have S&O get to really shine and be put over in a big way.
- so excited to get to know jay white, and i love that bringing him in is story development for kenny even in his absence
- matt leaving a la jeff and the “erratic behavior” comment
- they seem to be building to rosa and britt for revolution which i can’t wait for
- i’ve gone from being lukewarm on FTR to absolutely loving what they are all about. they are the most reliable workers out there, and their moveset is so much more filled out and fluid than, like, most others on the roster. i feel like i’m always guaranteed, worst-case scenario, a good match from them. and their new theme is the best. they have so much chemistry together and i just love those guys. this match built up into something genuinely exciting and desperate feeling. off the rails but not chaotic, just very ALIVE. some great false finishes there too to get all of us even more worked up
- really hope we see more of AQA, she was great. really enjoyed this Jade match. her gimmick act is so well-polished but she’s also making improvement as a wrestler as well. i’ve genuinely enjoyed her last several matches for the most part instead of being let down by the way they go about getting her reps.
- main event was tremendous, another bloody match for page. the blood was so THICK wtf. lance is such a fabulous heel. i still think having lambert involved made no sense and was weak, but having jake the snake in there was perfect. i also loved the spot they gave him and that his whole thing was he just kept wanting to be let in for a taste while lance is like pls get out of my fight lol. and his disappointment lmao. expected lance to get in offense first and then page to come back but they really switched it up in the best way here. having it already starting before they can even do entrances, having it feel like we’re coming in in the middle, and then having page get in some sick shit first. they both put on such a show, seriously gnarly stuff. that steel stairs spot hurt ME just watching it (seriously, wtf, how is he alive) and then the final buckshot off the ref into the table was INSANE. this just ruled.
- then having adam cole come out right at the end was the cherry on top. i’ve been waiting to see cole get serious. he has such a natural comic presence but he’s been beefing with the best friends for so long (combined with certain recurring bits like the kiss, cutler, etc) hat it has come to feel like the goofy portion of the show when they have a match. which i enjoy a lot and has its place, but i’ve wanted cole to switch gears for a couple of months now. so i’m excited to see him get down to more business. i’m also waiting to get some sense of fish & o’ reilly as a tag team. i know other people know them from nxt etc but i feel like they just brought kyle in and have done zilch with him yet. i’m not into bobby fish but i’d like to get a sense of what kyle can do and of them as an active tag team presence instead of them just hanging around cole and the young bucks with all the untapped tension that comes with that. but yeah, great moment to leave off on

The build up to Death Before Dishonor was getting more and more intense. The Jericho Appreciation Society have been nothing much thorns in the sides of the Blackpool Combat Club along with Santana, Ortiz, and especially Eddie Kingston. Regardless of you not being a member of BCC, you were pulled into the drama, but you didn’t mind and truthfully, you would have inserted yourself into it had Daniel Garcia not mentioned you one night. You knew he did it to get a rise out of Wheeler Yuta, your boyfriend of a year and half.
What you didn’t know was how Daniel truly felt about you. He wouldn’t admit to anyone, not even 2point0 much less the other members of JAS, but he had feelings for you — strong feelings for you. He spent a lot of his nights wishing you were with him and not Yuta. He despised Yuta for stealing you from him.
Daniel was going to make his move, but Wheeler beat him to it a few days before and Danny saw your face light up at whatever Yuta said. He couldn’t bring himself to tell you he liked you after that, but as time went on Daniel saw that whatever was going on between you and Wheeler wasn’t stopping anytime soon. He knew he had to do something to get your attention — to steal you away from Yuta. Daniel couldn’t figure out why you liked Yuta so much. The guy was a loser and a joke in Danny’s eyes, but most importantly, Wheeler Yuta was not Daniel Garcia.
Over the next several months Chris Jericho continued to target Eddie and vice versa. Naturally, JAS had Jericho’s back and BCC was backing up Eddie. Things were getting heated and more personal between the two men, but no one really knew just how personal things were getting between Daniel and Yuta.
Despite you being ringside and being around the two men durning the various showdowns between the two groups, you didn’t realize how personal it was getting between them, how intense and heated it was getting, or the words exchanged between the two. You had no idea the full extent of what your presence was doing to Daniel or how it was making him react.
Much like Garcia, Yuta wasn’t one to back down, and when Daniel would attack Wheeler at every opportunity, sometimes Danny walked away with a shit eating grin on his face while other times Yuta managed to get the upper hand despite being jumped.
This back and forth continued with growing intensity between the two. Daniel always made sure to take note of when you were and were not around. He would also take note of how sickeningly sweet you and Yuta would look whenever he came across the two of you backstage. It had him thinking about how it should him doing all that stuff with you — holding your hand, having your support, cheering for one another during matches, kissing you — that should be him and not Wheeler Yuta. It ate Daniel up seeing you happy with someone who wasn’t good enough for you, with someone who was part of a pathetic excuse of a club in his eyes. Daniel firmly believed he could make you even happier, that he could give you so much more than Yuta — more time, more love, more support, more…. everything.
Having to see you and his sworn enemy all cute and lovey dovey all the time, gave him an idea, a plan on how to finally get your attention, how to finally win your heart, how to finally get you to be with him instead. He was going to make sure he got a shot at Yuta’s Ring of Honor Pure Championship. He was going to win. He knew he would win because he was more brutal, more nasty, more violent in the ring than pathetic excuse of a wrestler, Wheeler Yuta. That’s what he told himself. That’s what JAS told him when the match was finally made for Ring of Honor’s Death Before Dishonor pay per view.
If you thought things were intense and heated before? You had no idea what was coming next.
The few weeks prior to the pay per view Daniel was cutting promos left and right on Yuta, attacking Yuta, and making sure you knew just who you were dating and just who you could and should be with.
Daniel jumped at every chance he got when he saw you alone. He would be bold and flirt with you, ask you to go out with him after the show — just the two of you, ask you why you chose that loser as he put it, and once you defended your boyfriend, Daniel would just laugh and reply with something along the lines of “Come on, sweetheart. You and I both know who can truly handle you.”
You remember that moment clearly. No sooner than the words left Garcia’s mouth, you hauled off and slapped the shit out of him. How dare he say that?! How dare he put down the man that treated you so well, that treated like you were made of gold and Yuta knows how to treat gold, he is the champ after all. You remember storming off, fuming at what you heard come out of Danny’s mouth.
That’s the same day Daniel learned he was using the wrong approach. It was also the day he knew you belonged with him, and the day he learned just how hard you could hit because that slap strung for twenty minutes and his cheek was a bright red for majority of the day. That was the same day he realized just how head over heals he genuinely was for you.
Daniel thought about you a lot the next several days and how to get you to realize his feelings for you because everyone knows Daniel wasn’t a mushy guy that talked about his feelings. He was the strong, silent type. The tough guy that no one could shake. At least he used to think so. He didn’t want to admit that slowly he was becoming soft, but it was only for you. Everyone else could kiss his ass for all he cared.
Wheeler could tell that Garcia liked you, he just didn’t know exactly how much. He could tell by the words Daniel spoke, the way Daniel mentioned you, and by just how hard Daniel would hit him in their brawls ringside and backstage. Yuta knew there was something there, he just needed to find out what exactly it was.
Blood and Guts came and went. Tensions were climbing higher. Fyter Fest night one came and went. Tensions continued to rise. Fyter Fest night two came and went. The two men couldn’t be in the same room.
Daniel had a promo scheduled for the ROH pay per view the Friday before, and he knew this was his chance to get not just Yuta, the AEW fans, but your attention and to let everyone, yourself mostly, to know what he felt about you. Yes, he had mentioned you a few times before for the world to hear but never indirectly said he had feelings for you.
When his time came Garcia cut the promo and ended it with a smirk while confidently saying, “I’m taking your title, and I’m taking your girl too, Yuta”. You stood there with you haw on the floor. You were frozen. What did he just say? There’s no way you heard that right. Looking over at your boyfriend, you knew you heard what Daniel said correctly because Wheeler’s expression was a mixture of amusement and anger. This match was going to get uglier than you had thought.
The two men had a sit down interview of sorts to promote the upcoming pay per view. You had this feeling that a war of words would occur even more so that you played a bigger part in this than anyone realized. Of course you were going to be supporting Yuta, he’s your boyfriend after all, but as much as you didn’t want to, you had to admit that you had been thinking about Garcia, thinking about the things he said to you when your boyfriend wasn’t around, thinking about if Daniel really would be a better fit for you like he would always claim. You hated yourself for thinking about that, for thinking about Daniel Garcia when you were already with Wheeler Yuta.
You sat off to the side and watched the interview. Yuta on one side of the interviewer and Garcia on the other. The interview started off fine, but once Yuta mentioned Daniel’s car accident, it pissed Danny off. Clearly it was still a touchy subject, and you knew that. You had seen Danny snap at people for bringing up such a hard and dark time in his life. You remember hearing someone say something about it once, hearing Daniel coming around the corner you were quick to tell the person to drop it with a stern look. Thankfully, they did before Daniel could tell them where they could go. What you didn’t know was that Daniel had seen and heard the whole thing, falling for you even more because you knew how he felt about the topic.
Once Yuta brought up the accident, the proverbial gloves were off and Daniel wasn’t holding back. Daniel went off about how he was a much wrestler, how he would make a better champion, and how you deserved better, how you deserved to be with him and not Yuta.
The interview ended shortly after that. You couldn’t believe that Daniel felt that passionate about you, the title sure because he was determined to make Wheeler look like a fool in front of everyone. It was his favorite pastime lately. You took in Daniel’s words and couldn’t stop thinking about all he said.
“Babe?” You were brought out of your thoughts when Yuta waved his hand in front of your face. You hadn’t realized he had been talking to you.
“Sorry.” You apologized before continuing, “I didn’t mean to ignore you. Got lost in thought for a moment.” It was the truth, well mostly the truth. The thought of being with Daniel kept sneaking into your thoughts, and you didn’t try to shake it away anymore, leaving you feeling guilty. Was this cheating? You never thought you would do something like that, but if these thoughts counted then you didn’t feel like you should be either man.
The pay per view finally arrived and you were beyond nervous, not for Yuta, not for Daniel, but for the decision you would have to make by the end of the night.
As you watched the pre-show, your nerves and anxiety started creeping up. Once the main card started, you were becoming increasingly more anxious and nervous. Yuta and Garcia were off prepping for their match while you watched Claudio win the Ring of Honor World Championship.
It was finally time for the Pure Championship match. The match that was most likely going to break you. You jumped up from your seat backstage, pacing, body filled with nerves and anxiety to the point you felt like you could throw up. Wheeler stopped by on his way out to the ring to give you a kiss and tell you it was going to all be okay and that it would be over soon.
You wanted to believe him. You desperately wanted to believe him, but your gut told you it wasn’t going to be over until you made your decision. You wanted to scream and cry at the thought of choosing between these two: your loving boyfriend and the man who’s been plaguing your thoughts for weeks on end.
The bell rang and the match began. You caught yourself holding your breath frequently throughout the match. You ended up pacing, wringing your hands, and running your hands through your hair. Everyone around you wasn’t sure what to say or do, seeing you in such a state.
The match was brutal from the beginning, harsh strikes, chops, kicks, wanting to one up the other. Submission hold after submission hold but still neither man showed any quit. These two weren’t just fighting for the title — they were fighting for you so of course they were going to give it their all. Yuta wanted to keep you while Daniel wanted to win you.
You hated that they were treating you like a prize, but saw where they were coming from. You knew they didn’t really think of you as prize to be had; they just both loved you and wanted you for themselves.
You must have been too in your thoughts to notice the match coming to a close until you heard the bell ring once more. Whipping around to the monitor, you see your boyfriend’s hand raised in victory. You let out yet another breath you were holding. It’s almost decision time, and you were a wreck. You didn’t want to hurt either of them, but unfortunately, you were going to have to.
You watch Danny exit the ring and up the ramp towards the back with both middle fingers extended. He was pissed he lost, but more importantly, he was pissed he lost to Yuta. You wanted to meet him when came through the back but refrained from doing so. You watched as he stormed off still giving people the bird, too pissed to look for you. You knew he needed time to cool down so that’s what you’d give him for now.
You gasped as arms wrapped around you from behind, calming when you heard Wheeler’s voice. “I did it. I beat him and now we know who the best is.” He kissed your cheek before heading off to shower and change. You didn’t even congratulate him, too busy thinking about what’s going to happen next.
A few hours later you were met with Danny and Yuta in a deserted hallway. Both men had their eyes on you, silently telling you it was time for your decision. You swallowed thickly, throat dry and hands shaking. Yuta motioned to an empty room to the right, and the three of you piled in.
Once the door was shut, you were met with both of them completely focused on you. You sat down in a chair across from them and let out a deep breath. You knew your decision already, but just knowing you’ll be met with hurt and pain no matter who you choose, truly breaks your heart.
“I—I made my decision. It was difficult, but just know I thought long and hard about it.” You pause, examining their reactions so far. They were both on the edge of their seats, hanging on your every word, Daniel hoping you’d pick him while Wheeler was hoping he wouldn’t lose you. You closed your eyes and took a deep breath before continuing, “I’m sorry. I—I can’t pick either of you.” You let tears run down your cheeks as you see both men’s faces fall in realization of what you were getting at. “Wheeler, if I stay with you, I’m scared I won’t be able to get Daniel out of my head, and Danny, if I pick you, I’ll feel guilty about all this pain and hurt it caused Wheeler. I’m sorry. I just can’t.” You choke out the last few sentences as you sniffed in attempt to keep from full on crying, but you couldn’t keep it in. You jumped up and practically ran out the door, regardless of your blurry vision.
As you left you could hear Daniel and Yuta yelling at one another, blaming one another for the outcome.
Daniel couldn’t believe it. He couldn’t believe after all that he still lost you. He was angry, embarrassed, and upset. Daniel Garcia doesn’t cry, but he did that day.

Everybody's Free (Part 19)
Wardlow x f/Reader
Just like all my other stories, this has not been proofread, but please enjoy.
Gifs & photos do not belong to me.
Warnings: Some swearing.
Sammy Guevara's POV:
The news of YN and Wardlow getting married travelled fast through work and I tried not to pay attention.
"It was beautiful and just so perfect." Is what everyone was saying. That they announced that they were having twins, a boy and girl.
The day of their wedding, Tay found me actually pouting in the hotel pool. She tried to cheer me up, but nothing and I mean nothing was working.
Tumblr media
So I decided to take a few weeks off. I needed space to clear my head of all this.
I never once thought our friendship would end like this. I always thought she would be at my wedding and I at hers.
That our children would grow up together and be best friends just like us, but then she had to fall in love with Wardlow.
To me, it still doesn't make sense. She knew how I felt about him and still saw him behind my back.
I even brought that up to Tay. "You can't help who you love Sammy." Was all my girlfriend said to me.
I know her and YN got a long well, but Tay has stood by my side through all of this. Unlike Mike and Miguel.
Those two traitors actually went to the wedding and then left The Inner Circle to join Eddie, who I heard walked her down the aisle.
Which brought me back to when her Grandpa passed away and we were talking about what a great man he was.
"I have no one to walk me down the aisle if I ever get married Sammy. That is the one thing he said he was going to do." YN said as she cried.
"Don't worry YN, I'll walk you down the aisle."
I was pulled away from my memories by a few fans coming up and asking for a photo and autograph.
Tumblr media
Wardlow's POV:
Even though we couldn't fly to our dream honeymoon spot, I did book us at a beautiful place called The Sanderling Resort & Spa.
It was still on the beach and we still had our privacy with one another. I do believe I made love to my very pregnant wife on every single surface I possibly could.
Made sure to request a fresh big bowl of strawberries be brought with our lunch each day just for her.
But now we are back home in Ohio. Been home for a few days in our finished home and I have been doing the final touches on the nursery.
Tumblr media
YN and I decided that we would have the two of them in the same room until they a bit older and then they will each get their own room.
And that is where she found me most days when I am not with her. I just finished putting together a dresser and I heard her call my name, saying it is time for lunch.
She was sitting at the counter, her hand on her stomach as she happily ate her Turkey burger.
I kissed her on her cheek and then leaned down and kissed her stomach. I could feel the babies moving around.
I was nervous about leaving her alone. After we came back from our honeymoon, we had a Doctors appointment and she told us that YN should be staying home and not travel.
At first YN started to complain because she was hoping she had a bit more time being on the road, but she really only has about a month and half left and hopefully the two of them will not show up too early.
So right now, we are just trying to make the best of it all. Even though I know she hasn't said anything, this is bothering her.
But I am not going to bring it up because I did already and she told me that she was fine.
"What time is your flight?" She asked me, pulling me from my thoughts.
"4 am." She just nodded her head as she took another bite of her sandwhich.
"My Mom says she will be here by 9."
"What for?"
I guess YN forgot. This pregnancy brain is the real thing. "To take you shopping. You mentioned we need a family friendly car."
"Oh yeah." I could tell she was getting upset. YN has handled this pregnancy well. The puking, the cravings, the insatiable sex, everything she had handled with ease.
But her forgetting things has her frustrated more than she will ever care to admit.
"Do you care which one we pick out?"
"No, as long as you are happy with it, that is all that matters."
I already called my Mom and gave her a heads up about where the two of them will be going and that a Taxi will be taking them there.
I also called the car dealership and gave them my information and card details so that way the two of them can just drive off the lot with it.
The two of us finished eating and I quickly cleaned up the kitchen.
I found YN sitting in our livingroom, with a bowl of strawberries and grapes resting on her stomach.
She was watching The Breakfast Club. It was her go to movie when she is sad.
I knelt down in front of her and she paused the movie. I gently cupped her face and she had tears in her eyes.
"What is the matter baby? I know you're sad."
"I don't want you to go."
"I don't want to either but I do have to go to work for a bit."
"I know, it's just I am going to be alone in our home until you come back."
I was going to say that my Mom is coming around but YN beat me to it.
"I know your Mom won't be far, and I know I can call your sisters but they aren't you Michael."
"I will facetime you every chance I get."
"I know, but I just need you here with me."
"Look baby, I am only gone for two weeks. Then after that, I will be home and you are stuck with me until the babies are born."
My mom will be moving in once the babies are born to help YN when I am not here. It is only temporary but YN and I both know she will need help.
"Lets not be sad anymore. Why don't we go out for an early dinner and then go out for dessert." I said to her.
"How about The Cheesecake Factory?"
"Sounds good to me. Why don't we finish watching the movie and then once it is done, we can head out." I said to her as I finally joined her on the couch, popping one of her strawberries into my mouth.
~
I woke up early the next morning and just held onto her as I had a few moments to spare before I had to get up and start to get ready.
I had a quick shower and double checked that I had everything. I went downstairs to the kitchen to grab something to take with me for the ride to the airport, but there was my wife, packing me breakfast at 2 am.
I wrapped my arms around her waist and told her thank you as I kissed her neck.
"Do not start something you can not finish Mister. Go, the airport taxi is waiting."
She walked me to the front door and we kissed each other goodbye. Me promising her that I will call her the moment I land.
"Love you Michael. Have a safe trip."
"Love you too baby. Get some more sleep."
I knew she was watching me as I walked to the taxi and got in. I had the driver wait until she closed the door behind her and I could clearly see that the hallway light was turned off and the lamp in our room got turned off a few moment later.
~
The moment I landed in California, I called YN just like I promised. She answered the phone on the second ring and she told me my Mom was there.
The three of us talked a bit but then they had to leave. I told YN I would call her later that night and text her throughout the day.
~
It took a bit but I am finally out of the airport and on my way to the hotel, where I met up with Ronnie, David and Daniel.
"There he is. How was the honeymoon?" Ronnie asked me as he patted me on the back.
"It was amazing. Glad we found it. Just the perfect spot." I told them honestly.
"How is she doing?" David asked me. He is the only one out of the group who understands as he has travelled before when his wife was pregnant.
"She is upset she got told to stay home. YN is used to travelling and being with me or anyone of us actually."
"So what is she doing?" Daniel asked as we headed to go and the meeting that Tony was holding in one of the hotel conference rooms.
"Well right now she is going to buy a new car because she needs one for her and the babies." I smiled at the thought of our babies.
The conversation shifted to different topics as we walked, but then I heard his annoying voice.
"Well well well, if it isn't Michael. So nice to see you back. How was the honeymoon?" I didn't answer Sammy, I just kept walking.
"I hear congratulations are in order. Twins? A boy and a girl. Oh how sweet...but I do wonder, are they yours?"
I stopped walking. I heard Ronnie say shit as I turned, ready to knock the shit out of Sammy, but Daniel and David were holding me back.
"Sammy, if I was you, I would walk away before the Big Man puts you in the hospital, yeah?" Max said as he walked towards us, with Colten and Austin not far behind him.
Sammy just smirked at me, knowing he got to me and walked past us but Max had the final word.
"Oh Sammy?" He stopped and turned to look at Max.
"What?"
"If you ever and I mean ever hear you say something like that again about YN, Mike or their children, you won't just have to worry about Mike."
"Is that a threat?"
"Take it how you want, but you have been warned."
It looked like Sammy wanted to say something but all he did was flip us off and walked into the room.
Today is going to be one long day.

New Beginnings - T.Ishimori / T.Taylor
A/N: So when @bitterendbrutalizer , started to write TMHWMP. I started to think about how I wanted to know more about Torrance and Taiji so here we are. This was in no way meant to be a fic in it's own, or this long. But it's something that's for sure. Enjoy?
Just a little long background on how Torrance met Taiji. Other characters from TNA/Impact, NJPW, etc. And of course Nellie and Torrance from Take My Hands, Wreck My Plans.
When Torrance walked through the door of TNA early 2015, her blonde hair in loose curls, she spent most of her career on the indie scene but never truly branched out until she crossed paths with Shaun better known to the wrestling fans as none other than Eli Drake, the you'll hear him long before you see him obnoxious jerk from Maryland. And his character wasn't much different either.
The moment she stepped into managements office they told her she was the perfect fit for either joining The Beautiful People or be apart of the Dollhouse either way it excited Torrance. Those were two of the top groups in women's wrestling to date and to even be considered was a major thing for her.
But it was all quickly folded when Shaun said that he wanted a change soon, and that change was to turn himself into one of TNA's top heels, but in order for his gimmick to work he felt like he needed to make a lot of changes. Most of which he said would make him out to be someone all of the ladies wanted, and all the guys were jealous of but that was still months away. But with him bringing that up and saying he knows the perfect person, one the fans didn't see yet before scratched all plans that she was originally brought in for.
"Soon." Tanga would tell her, but soon wasn't quick enough. It wasn't right now out there with Angelina, Velvet, And Madison. Or Marti, Jade, Taryn, and newly introduced Rebel. Torrance knew she was basically watching her part but through someone else. It was almost like being in Hollywood where you're watching someone else shine in the part you auditioned for.
"At least you get out when soon is up." Torrance would often tell Tanga than Drew or Shaun would walk around the corner.
It was no secret that Tanga was unhappy and had only signed on for a short time and had no plans on continuing instead he would often tell Torrance about joining his brother in Japan which seemed to put a huge smile on her face. Torrance often dreamed about what wrestling in Japan would feel like so when she met Tama at one point when he came to visit, she bombarded him with a list of questions and learned some of the slang.
"What do you do here?" Tama would ask her.
"Sit around and wait for my storyline to start." Torrance would say but when Tama was about to say more in his way things would quickly stop once Tanga shot him a ' we talked about this' kind of look.
On July 25th, 2015 Shaun had finally pulled the trigger and cost his former partner Drew Galloway a match against Ethan Carter III. It w as finally time to insert Torrance into the story as she helped Eli get a victory against Drew on August 5th.
Torrance embraced her role as a heel and Shaun's manager of some sort. Only wrestling on occasion but she tried to tell herself she was happy because not only was she employed in her dream job but she was doing it with the love of her life.
Or who she thought was the love of her life. Torrance got caught in one too many times of people coming up to her in the locker room and telling her how single Shaun acts when she isn't around, jokes on them when she saw it happen in front of her quite a few times too. This went on until she stopped going into the dressing room and instead stayed in Shaun's. Because you couldn’t get told bad things if you weren’t around to hear it, right?
Moments like these lead to pretty heavy arguments in the morning but Shaun had a way of saying that they were filming stuff for his gimmick or that a fan had gotten to close at a club and he couldn’t be rude. Which often caused Torrance to laugh. But it somehow always worked that andTorrance like the way she felt when they made up. Shaun Just had a certain way that she never once complained about.
When impact started to work with GWF there was a lot of new people from their roster coming into Impact. Shaun decided that tag team wrestling is where him and Chris needed to be.
But first I had to sit and watch as L.A.X won the titles, Santana and Ortiz becoming fast friends of Torrance’s much to the dislike of Shaun. It started to turn it into something that she didn’t have an idea. Yeah, when Chris joined she knew Shaun was looking to have him be his back up and boy did they ever get along. Torrance seemingly avoided it at all cost. Not knowing just exactly what was brewing.
It wasn’t until Slammiversary XV on July 2, 2017 when Torrance watched in rooted for Santana and Ortiz to keep their titles she was nervous and was waiting by the TV closest to the ranch so she can see her boys either way the match went for what felt like forever as L.A.X. emerged victorious. They all hooted and hollered when they made their way back as twins ran to give them both a hug.
“I’m so proud of you guys. “ Torrance said as they returned her hug.” Are you guys okay?” She said when she pulled away double checking that they were indeed okay.
" We're fine. We're not the ones you should be checking on." Santana said with a laugh.
Torrance playfully rolled her eyes as the 3 other teams finally came into view, Torrance's eyes wandered a little and they all indeed seem like they went through something. But a certain pair of eyes caught hers a smile making her way onto his lips which she returned.
"Let's go, our turn to finally show what a real tag team can do." Shaun said as he and Chris came into view.
"Dude, we've been doing this together for years, you guys became a team weeks ago. Get some credibility and maybe we'll let you have a shot." Ortiz said.
Torrance saw the smile disappear quickly from the guys face instead it was replaced by an unreadable expression as her gaze turned to Ortiz and Shaun as she placed a hand on Shaun's chest and led him to the ramp.
That night as Torrance listened to Shaun and Chris go on and on about how if it wasn't for Santana and Ortiz getting in their head before the match things would have went completely different. All Torrance could think of was the guy that she saw before it all happened. The way his smile seemingly reached his eyes, with such kindness that she wasn't used to seeing in this business especially not with Shaun around.
From that day she talked to both Santana and Ortiz, " So who was that one guy you guys had that match against? The one from Noah?"
"Torrance got a thing for Marufugi?" Ortiz said as Torrance made a face.
"No, I don't." Torrance said as they laughed.
"What he meant to say is Torr got a thing for Ishimori."
"Torr doesn't have a thing for anyone but her boyfriend. Who she's been with for a few years." Torrance said as she quickly came to Eli's defense.
"Chill Torr, we know were just joking. His name is Taiji Ishimori we only know a little about him. Damn good wrestler seems to be a pretty nice guy outside of the ring. Friendly, Priscilla said he wanted to go over the spot they had in the match at least 100 times so he felt confident enough the wouldn't hurt her."
"Oh." Torrance said.
"Oh? I mean we can introduce you two if you want. Just don't pull a Eli on yourself." Santana said.
Torrance knew he meant it as a joke but she also knew how much truth was hidden in that.
It was months later when Torrance finally saw Taiji again at Bound For Glory on November 5, 2017. She considered them to be rather friendly as when he was there before Santana and Ortiz introduced the two. Hitting it off the best they could with Shaun being around. But she didn't know where Taiji stood when he found out that Shaun and Torrance were a thing. She didn't mean for things to get flirty between the two but stolen glances became much more when he would ask her to dance that one time he actually got Torrance to go out with the roster.
Shaun on the other hand was happy Torrance was dragged away by her friends as a certain Brunette had found her way onto his lap. Just as Taiji pulled Torrance in she laughed.
Taiji smiled," You know I don't know much about the way girls are in the states but I'm pretty sure you've been flirting with me since we met."
Torrance's eyes went wide," Flirting? No,no. I just wanted to make sure you were having fun."
"I am, only when you're around. And that's a shame cause I was definitely flirting with you."
Now Torrance knew that she was definitely flirting back with him, in fact she knew on occasion that she had even started it. Taiji had a way of making her feel things she never felt especially in her relationship with Shaun. Which is why she never really mentioned him in that way, and Torrance knew that lately it hadn't been that well known to anyone except Chris and her friends of L.A.X. Tanga kept in touch too but he never asked how Shaun was doing. He like Santana and Ortiz were waiting for the day when Torrance would say she dumped Shaun.
"Hey Torr, I know this isn't the time or the place but you got to come here. Your boyfriend seems to have forgotten an important part. And I don't trust Santana walking over there." Priscilla had said when she placed a hand on Torrance's arm.
"Boyfriend?" Taiji said as she looked at Torrance letting her go.
"Yeah the complete douchebag known as Shaun aka Eli Dra-" Priscilla began to say as Torrance cut her off.
"Can we not? Please." Taiji just stood there with eyebrows raised as Torrance made her way through the crowd and over to where Santana had now become fully aware of some sort of situation and picked Shaun up by his collar from his spot on the chair and was saying something that she couldn't quite make out just yet.
"Woah hey what's going on?" Torrance said as she made her way over to the two.
"This prick apparently can't remember he has a girlfriend who is only a couple feet away from him that he could be trying to mack on, but no instead chooses someone else. Like this is all some sort of game to him."
"You're just mad that it ain't you, kid. It could be but you're still playing at the kids table." Shaun said as he freed himself from Santana's grasp with a dirty look.
"Really? That's what you have to say to all of this?" Torrance said.
"We'll talk at home, in private." Shaun said as he gathered his stuff and muttered something that Torrance couldn't quite catch but it sounded something along the lines of his night being ruined.
But they never did talk about it that night, when Torrance brought it up the second the door closed his lips attached to her neck as she sat at the counter.
"You're really going to listen to Santana over me?" Shaun would say as his arms snaked up her sides," You know how he gets when we're in the same room."
Torrance was still unsure but she convinced herself based on the fact that Santana indeed have all the things in the world to say about Shaun whenever he stepped in the ring especially ever since their feud on Impact when Shaun and Scott took the tag team titles only to drop them to go on his chase for his own singles title.
Torrance sighed," I know I just wish he didn't go and say something like that completely out in the open in front of the whole roster."
"That's how him and Ortiz are, you know that. Now what do you say we find something else to do until morning since our lovely night out became an early night in." Shaun said as he made sure to continue to capitalize on every little weak spot that he knew Torrance had. So by the time he was finished talking Torrance barely remembered why she was even questioning him in the first place.
But that was before and this was now. Bound for Glory. It was all set to be a big night for Shaun but Torrance was finding it rather hard to swallow her pride and act happy for him when things in their personal lives were at their end. Their very end. And when Torrance told Impact about how she didn't want to be near Shaun.
To which they responded with that she could suck it up or leave. She chose to leave after Bound for Glory was done. Torrance watched early on as Taiji defeated Tyson, She hasn't talked to him since everything that happened at the club. She would try to look his way but almost all of them went unnoticed by her at least when she looked that was.
She had only told her close friends that tonight was her last night as tonight was also Gail Kim's last impact wrestling match. Maybe it was for the better, she didn't want the attention on her.
She barely left the locker room as her phone started to ring, as she looked down to see Tanga's name on her screen.
"Hey, how are you?" Torrance said.
"Really? You're asking me that? You're the one who dumped an asshole and is now leaving a company in the same week." Tanga said.
"I'm ready to leave already but I have a few more hours still."
"Where's Santana and Ortiz? Or Taiji?"
"Santana and Ortiz are filming something but Taiji I haven't talked to him for a few weeks."
"And why not? He was becoming a good friend, it wasn't Shaun was it?"
"I mean not exactly. He didn't know me and him were a thing, and things may have went a little to far if you will."
"A little far? Did you and Taiji have a thing?"
"No, no I didn't think so at least. I mean things didn't feel friendly but it never crossed that line."
"Did you want it too?" Tanga said as all Torrance could do was stay quiet, mainly because she couldn't even begin to think about any of that, cause she knew parts of her did want it too. Almost every part.
"Hey I have to go get ready, but I'll see you very soon."
"Ah! So you have thought about it." Tanga said with a laugh.
"Yeah, yeah. Don't get ahead of yourself. It wasn't your words that encouraged me."
"You're right the amount of times you drooled when I told you about Japan definitely didn't do anything to persuade your decision. Maybe it was Taiji telling you about it?"
"Bye Tanga." Torrance said as she hung up as Tanga laughed.
Torrance went about her night, never really running into anyone before she watched Taiji win his match in under 5 minutes. He was truly coming a long way. She'd be lying if she said that being able to see Taiji in the ring would be something she'd seriously miss, but even more so him out of it.
When it was finally time for her to go out, she gave Santana and Ortiz one last look and they gave her encouraging smiles. Just one last thing you have to fake here tonight and than that's it. By tomorrow the news will read that her and Impact have parted ways than she'll be on the closest flight out of here to start her new life in Japan, as a part of the Bullet Club for the time being.
As Shaun's hand was raised in victory as he captured the Impact Global Championship, it took everything in Torrance not to break down cause it was something that she had watched him work hard for but even more so something their little group worked so hard for as well. Shaun respected her space throughout the whole celebration as they headed into the back. Most people congratulated Shaun as Torrance made her way through the crowd and went right over to Santana and Ortiz.
"We're gonna miss you Torr." They said as they wrapped their arms around her tightly.
"I'm going to miss you guys so much too." Torrance said as she pulled away from them," We'll see each other again soon. And I'll call once I figure out the time zone situation."
"Yeah we love you but not enough to answer your call at 3 in the morning just because you wanted to say hi." Ortiz said with a laugh as Torrance gasped in fake offense.
"You wouldn't take my call at 3 in the morning?"
"If you just want to say hi, absolutely not." Santana said.
"But what if I miss you guys too much?"
"Than we'll return the call at a decent hour." Ortiz said as they all laughed.
"So it's true?" Torrance heard from behind them, she knew that voice, she missed it the last couple of days.
As Torrance turned her head to see Taiji standing there as Santana and Ortiz let her go and walked a little bit away.
"Uh yeah, wait depending on what it is you're talking about."
"You're leaving." He said as she nodded," Why?"
"I want to wrestle not be eye candy, and I won't get that here."
"And you picked Japan?"
"How did you?- " Taiji pointed behind Torrance as she turned to see Ortiz looking away and Santana smiling and offering a small wave as Torrance gave him a look before looking at Taiji again.
"Well that explains that." She said as Taiji nodded," I leave in the morning."
"No celebration with everyone?" He asked with raised eyebrows.
"Not into drinking nor do I have anything to celebrate with him."
"But that's your boyfriend."
"Was, big keyword there he was my boyfriend."
"Oh, not a fan of going to Japan?"
"No just not a fan of being faithful." Torrance said as as unreadable expression came across Taiji's face.
"I'm sorry." He finally said.
"Don't be I'm not. Long overdue. New Beginnings, can't wait."
"Yeah, new beginnings." Taiji said with a smile.
Torrance wanted to bring up what happened but she figured it wouldn't matter too much. She would be off to Japan to start a new life while he was here doing great things in the states.
But what Torrance didn't know was that wouldn't be the last time she saw Taiji like she thought. She would see him again when she was working alongside Bullet Club and making a name for herself.
Tama started relentlessly teasing her, more so than usual she should have said when they started teasing about a certain someone making his return to New Japan very soon.
"You know him extremely well." Tama said.
"Oh now it's extremely well? Before it was just I've seen him before." Torrance said with a roll of her eyes.
Tanga laughed," You seriously haven't seen anything relating to Impact since you left have you?"
"Out of sight, out of mind. You know I stayed off social media especially when Shaun decided to state his opinion on why I left in the first place." Torrance said with a shrug.
"Plus our girl here has been busting her ass off for that championship." Chase said as she smiled.
She was really at the highest point in her career and it was something she could say it was finally all for her. She was happy to just be wrestling bust as she trained with the guys, even she couldn't that her ability was getting better.
So when she was told that she was going into the championship picture and at the end would be facing Toni and Kagetsu at Stardom Shining Stars in a little over a month.
"Just a little over a month to go." Torrance said.
"And as of tonight you'll have a new member to celebrate with." Tama said with that signature smug look on his face.
"Don't say that we all know she'll only celebrate with him at that point."
"You guys are seriously going to make me wait if it's this big of a deal?"
"Well maybe you should pay attention to socials more." Tama said," Owens don't let her get spoilers, I'll be back." Tama said as he left the room.
Torrance was nervous as she watched Tama enter the ring followed by a man in a mask slide in behind Will. Tama told Will to get his ass up before the attack started. Torrance had to admit there was something familiar about the way this person moved.
Once the attack stopped and Tama stood next to the man as he talked about how much luck Will has had lately and how it was going to change as Bullet Club had an idea for bringing someone new in who would turn the gold into a diamond. Tama said," What I present to you, Bone Solider... Taiji Ishimori."
Everything else felt like it was all slow motion to Torrance, like how did this happen? As Tama began to lead him to the back it would be a good half hour or so until they were back here. Torrance thought of leaving but her feet stayed planted where she was.
"Come on, we're going to meet them." Tanga said as he put a hand on her shoulder.
"I think I'm good I'll wait right here."
'No, you're going with us. Tama has told Taiji all about what you've been up too. He's excited to see you, said it's been quite the year or so." Tanga said and before she could disagree her body betrayed her as it followed the guys out and over to where Tama and Taiji were talking to the cameras.
"Well, well, well look who it is." Tama said as he looked the group," I believe most of you have met Taiji if not this is Ishimori, our newest member."
He didn't seem to notice that Torrance was also there but she felt eyes on her as Chase pushed her forward a bit," Torrance here has something to say."
"Oh she does now?" Tama grinned at her," Well? Go ahead, floor is yours."
"Welcome home?" Torrance said as she offered him a smile.
*****************
It didn't take long for Torrance and Taiji to get back to the way things were. The flirting picked up and this time there wasn't anything attached to either of them so it was freely. Torrance had also started to go out with them a lot more when Taiji would invite her.
" You guys seriously need to start inviting new girls. I hate being the only one."
"I'm sure there will be a lot more coming around with Taiji here, and someone else we have joining in the next few months." Chase said as Tama laughed.
"That's funny, new guy maybe but Taiji with Torr around?" Tanga said.
"We're right here guys." Torrance said as they walked in.
"Are they wrong though?" Taiji asked.
"As far as what I heard the question was mainly about you."
"I'm not looking for anyone." Taiji said as Torrance nodded as she turned around to find a table," Else that is." But she acted like she didn't hear it.
It made Torrance nervous, getting close to another wrestler again. Something she swore to herself she'd never do after Shaun. But as they sat together in a booth Torrance felt herself slipping from that thought as Taiji looked at her," Care to dance?"
Torrance nodded," Sure, figured I owed you one so come on." Torrance said as she slipped out of the booth.
Once Taiji grabbed her hand she knew she was gone but that she was going to try her hardest to hold out until she knew it was good for her. As the two made their way to the dance floor.
***************
On June 9th, 2018 Torrance seemingly went to hell and back in a losing effort, she was sore pretty much something was broken or badly bruised as she made her way backstage, she made very little comments until she turned the corner to go to the locker room, she almost didn't notice the figure standing outside as a few of the other girls stood talking away.
Torrance made her way through the little crowd, as the figure turned towards her and gently caught her arm," Torr."
The crowd seemingly stood back and stared at the two in confusion, they knew she had been friends with members of the Bullet Club, and worked/trained with them but the fact that one of them were there right now seemingly crossing a line that hasn't even been drawn besides by a few girls in the locker room, "Taiji, what are you doing here?"
"I wanted to come and see your match live, than I saw everything so I had to come back and see you." He said as he wrapped her up in a hug," You did really good."
Torrance knew of the audience but the hug was a lot of what she needed in that moment and he at least deserved a hug back for showing up here the way that he did," Thank you it means a lot."
"Go get ready, we'll go somewhere to celebrate the fact we're both losers." Taiji said as they laughed.
"Raincheck, I feel like I got hit by a train." Torrance said as she let go of the hug.
"Okay sounds good, I'll still walk you out. Take your time." Taiji said as Torrance nodded and smiled at him as he got called away.
Taiji walked her out that night and even took the cab ride home with her as he gave her another hug and watched as she made her way inside.
"So it's true." Torrance just about jumped when she heard the voice she turned to see Bea standing there.
"What's true?"
"You've been banging Taiji since he came back?" She said with a laugh.
"Far from it, we've been friends since Impact."
"Oh so it's been longer than that, so did he use you to get into Bullet Club? Or was it the other way around?"
"Bea, cut the shit. We both know I haven't even gone on a date since being here."
"That we know of you don't tell us anything really is that why you and Shaun broke up got a little too close to a mid carder when you weren't wanted out at the ring?" Bea said as Torrance sighed.
"Whatever you say Bea, you and I both know what happened. If you still have a problem in the morning than we can talk but for now I'm going to sleep." She said as she went into her room and closed the door.
But it was always an issue with Bea, it went on for months until Torrance finally told Taiji and the rest of the guys.
"Why is it such an issue that they think you're hooking up with Taiji?" Jay asked.
"It's the way she's saying things that are the problem." Torrance said as she sighed," And than she has everyone else starting it now whenever I get anything that's good."
"Welcome to Bullet Club by the way Jay when we aren't kicking ass in the ring and out we're going through a big never ending game of she likes him but won't date him because he's a wrestler due to the last guy she dated who was admittedly an asshole yet she gets offended when people call her out for things when it comes to Taiji." Tama said as he sat back with a laugh.
"Oh fuck off Tama." Torrance said as she headed out the door. Truthfully she was getting overwhelmed by the amount of people coming at her at the house and it starting to just really get on her nerves. So when Tama started saying that when he knew what was going on just rubbed her the wrong way.
"Torrance, wait up." Taiji said.
"I'll talk to you tomorrow. I'm going home before everyone else gets there I think I heard enough today."
"That's what I wanted to talk to you about actually." Taiji caught up to her.
"Torrance turned to him," What?"
"How about you move in with me? I have a spare room you can have." Taiji said as he looked with hopeful eyes.
****************
Her first initial night with Taiji just so happened to be New Year Eve, where they both decided that after a long day they were just going to get some food and head back to the apartment. It was hard not to be in a good mood when you walked the streets of Tokyo. It was also hard not to be coupley when everyone surrounding you was in such a high spirit.
When they made their way into the apartment and sat on the couch, both refusing to get out of their outfits, Torrance had to admit she liked the way this dress made her look. And it was the first time she actually had a reason to wear it out.
Taiji was the first to bring up relationships as he asked why she hadn't had one since being in Japan, " I don't know , most of the time I'm just surrounded by wrestlers and - "
"And you don't want to date or hook up with wrestlers."
"Yeah, for the most part. I know that's kind of impossible not too."
"So what you're saying is someone caught your eye?" Taiji said as he re entered the living room.
"Yes well no, I don't know. I feel like he's been around so he had it for awhile like a long while so it's kind of hard to keep denying it."
"He's a lucky guy."
What about you like Chase said Bullet Club is pulling more girls around now more than ever as there's more than one single guy. While Jay entertained a few you haven't." Torrance said," And don't say no one asked cause they have. I've seen them ask. Especially when you would come to stardom."
"None of them were what I wanted." Taiji said with a shrug.
"So you got a type."
Taiji was going to respond when a countdown started to go into the new year, Torrance watched as everything went from silence to almost a beautiful bliss.
"You ever have a new years kiss Taiji?"
"No, I'm sure you have though."
"Actually no, every new year my ex seemed to never be around."
"Let's change that right now." Taiji said," That's if you don't mind."
"No, I don't but who would we-" Before Torrance could even finish her sentence Taiji planted a kiss that took her a minute to respond too but once she did there was no stopping her or Taiji now.
*********
That night didn't end with just kissing, most like all of the other nights after that too. She never did get to see the spare room as both of them found an excuse to spend just one more night together.
It went on for months like this, none of them saying anything to anyone but most of their friends figuring it out by the way they acted around each other. But when they would ask it would just be a quick " no" or a change of subject.
That was until Taiji started bringing around his new tag team partner, Riley aka El Phantasmo. Things got rather interesting. Torrance didn't think of herself as a jealous person not even in the slightest but sometimes Riley would make comments about how Taiji needs to capitalize on a few girls that threw themselves at him. Those kinds of things made her squirm but she stayed quiet, not wanting to put Taiji in a spot that would make him uncomfortable.
"What's your deal Torr? You've been staring at Taiji like you either want to kill him or jump his bones for the last couple of minutes now." Torrance sighed as she looked at Nellie her newest friend. And finally another to put up with Bullet Club's shit.
"I've just been thinking a lot."
"About Taiji?" Nellie said as she looked at her friend. This wasn't the first time they talked about this. Most of the time they also talked about Nellie and Riley's situation.
Torrance never understood why Riley was hellbent on telling Taiji about hooking up with girls. Meanwhile he swore up and down that he was interested in getting to know the ladies in Japan, but the second Nellie walked through the door he was right there following her around. And from what Nellie told Torrance it wasn't the first time they hooked up either. They said that was over with but Torrance and Taiji both knew better when they would leave together.
After all it was easy to hide your own hookup when you knew your friends were doing the same. Or so Torrance thought.
"Earth to Torrance, are you sure everything is good?" Nellie said.
"Yeah, I just- what if I finally dyed my hair?"
"Seriously? That's what has you all out of whack today?"
"Well, it's been on my mind a lot. I think a pink color would look good."
"It would, you should do it." Torrance heard from beside her as Taiji took a seat next to her with a smile.
Torrance turned and smiled at him," You think so?" As both went in their own conversation as Nellie and Riley looked at each other with a shrug.
"When you two are done ignoring us, how about joining Nellie and I at the bar? The usual spot?" Riley said as Torrance looked at Riley and Nellie who were now standing and ultimately waiting on them.
"Yeah, yeah we know." Taiji said as he stood, followed by Torrance.
It wasn't long before Riley was making the comments, it was almost like he knew how much it bothered Torrance. Who always tried to ignore it but lately it was getting harder and harder. She was trying to distract herself by talking to Nellie about upcoming shows.
"What about that one? She's been eyeing you all night." Riley said.
Torrance tried to turn away a little more as Riley just continued on," I bet if you buy her a drink she'll right into you."
Nellie watched in amusement as Torrance rolled her eyes," Seriously guys? Is that all you ever talk about?"
"Woah, hey. Nellie is right maybe we're trying to help the wrong friend get laid." Riley said with his arms raised.
"I'm more than okay thank you very much." Torrance said.
"Are you sure about that?" Nellie asked trying to hide the smile.
"Really? You two?" Torrance said as she looked at Nellie who shrugged," You know what? Fine. I just can't keep sitting here and listening to Riley go on and on about how Taiji needs to get laid cause I think he has been multiple times this week alone."
" Oh really? And how would you know about that unless?" Riley looked between the two of them as Nellie couldn't get enough of the scene playing out in front of her.
"Oh please don't act so surprised." Torrance said as she stood up," Now if you'll excuse us you wanting to go out the last two nights has really put a damper on things. So if Taiji agrees maybe we can go home early and as Riley likes to say get laid."
" I'm always down for you." Taiji said as he stood up and grabbed her hand.
"Wait home?" Riley said as he looked at Nellie who shrugged and seemed just as surprise as she was.
"I really didn't expect that I just thought we were finally going to learn they've been banging this whole time." Nellie said.
"Bye guys." Torrance said as Taiji began leading her out the door. Little did she know that was the best thing to happen to them of course they'd never let Riley or Nellie know that.
And the rest is a story for another time.

AEW Fake Rankings, 5/16/2021
Men's singles division - babyfaces
Darby Allin
Cody Rhodes
Orange Cassidy
PAC
Hangman Page
Christian Cage
Lance Archer
Sammy Guevara
Dustin Rhodes
Jake Hager
Men's singles division - heels
Kenny Omega (AEW men's world champion, Impact world champion, AAA mega champion)
MJF
Miro (AEW TNT champion)
Brian Cage (FTW champion)
Matt Hardy
Shawn Spears
Anthony Ogogo
QT Marshall
Powerhouse Hobbs
Nick Comorotto
Unranked: Alex Reynolds, Christopher Daniels, Colt Cabana, Danny Limelight, Dante Martin, Frankie Kazarian, Lee Johnson, MT Nakazawa, Wardlow
It feels premature to rank Darby Allin so highly. But given that Chris Jericho's hurt, Kenny Omega's a heel, and Jon Moxley's chasing the tag title, I can't argue any other babyface is ahead of him. Cody's clout and presentation goes a long way, but that only goes so far when he's been barely been on TV and feuding with QT's band of trainees. AEW deserves a lot of credit for giving Allin the ball and letting him run with it. Even though he just lost the TNT title to Miro, his chase to get it back ought to be even hotter than his run as champion.
A lot of the key fueds right now involve factions--Cody's Nightmare Family vs. QT's The Factory, Jericho's Inner Circle vs. MJF's The Pinnacle, and the Hardy Family Office vs. the Dark Order, Orange's buddies vs. Pac's Death Triangle--not to mention Team Taz and Kenny Omega's group running around. As a New Japan fan I dig it, but it does make it kind of tough to decide where one faction's minions rank relative to another's.
Men's tag team division - babyfaces
Jon Moxley (IWGP United Stats champion) & Eddie Kingston
Santana & Ortiz
Best Friends - Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta
Lucha Bros. - Penta El 0M & Rey Fenix
Jurassic Express - Luchasaurus & Jungle Boy & Marko Stunt
Evil Uno & Stu Grayson
Varsity Blondes - Griff Garrison & Brian Pillman Jr.
The Gunn Club - Billy Gunn & Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn
Matt Sydal & Mike Sydal
Alan Angels & Preston Vance
Men's tag team division - heels
The Young Bucks - Nick Jackson & Matt Jackson (AEW tag team champions)
FTR - Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler
Scorpio Sky & Ethan Page
The Acclaimed - Max Caster & Anthony Bowens
Private Party & Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy
The Butcher & The Blade
TH2 - Jack Evans & Angelico
Chaos Project - Luther & Serpentico
Cezar Bononi & Ryan Nemeth
Unranked: Sonny Kiss & Joey Janela
(Names not listed on the AEW website's roster are noted in italics.)
With Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian disbanding their team, the top title contenders on AEW's official rankings are Garrison and Pillman. However, the team that's actually getting a title shot at the May 30 pay-per-view is Moxley and Kingston, because they trashed the champs' dressing room. Just in case you were wondering why I bother doing this when AEW does it every week.
Women's singles division - babyfaces
Hikaru Shida (AEW women's world champion)
Thunder Rosa
Tay Conti
Kris Statlander
Ryo Mizunami
Big Swole
Red Velvet
Leyla Hirsch
KiLynn King
Women's singles division - heels
Britt Baker
Nyla Rose
Jade Cargill
Abadon
Penelope Ford
Diamante
The Bunny
A year ago I was griping that AEW wasn't doing enough with the women's division. They're still not giving them enough time on the main show, but it definitely feels like Shida, Baker, and Statlander are more important to the product now than they were back then. I wanted them to bring in more women and give them a chance, and that paid off big time with Thunder Rosa. Swole, Conti, Abadon, and Velvet feel underutilized, but I'm confident that will change. Cargill is going to be great once they decide she's ready for more than simple squash matches. Granted, There are others on this list that seem to be just...there. But it's amazing how much less frustrating that is when more than two women on the roster are getting pushed.
No matches in over 30 days: Awesome Kong, Emi Sukara, Karl Anderson, Leva Bates, Doc Gallows, Mel, Peter Avalon, Riho, Shanna, Shawn Dean, Serena Deeb (NWA women's world champion), Yuka Sakazaki
Same old story with Riho, Shanna, Sukara, and Sakazaki (travel restrictions), and with Kong and Mel (no idea). Deeb is booked for the May 19 show, which is probably a relief for the NWA, since they can finally book some title matches again.
When the AEW/Impact storyline started, I expected a lot more Impact wrestlers to appear on AEW programming than just Gallows and Anderson. As it turns out, even Gallows and Anderson haven't wrestled much on AEW lately. I'm really starting to wonder what the point is for all of this.
Part-time/semi-retired: Dasha Gonzalez, Paul Wight, Rebel not Reba, Sting, Tully Blanchard
I feel weird having Tully here but hell, he's probably had more ring time in 2021 than everybody else in this list put together.
Inactive
Anna Jay (right shoulder - dislocation)
Brandon Cutler (orbital bone - unspecified injury)
Brandi Rhodes (pregnancy)
Chris Jericho (right elbow - dislocation)
Kip Sabian (right arm - storyline injury?)
John Silver (right shoulder - dislocation)
Ricky Starks (neck - fractured vertebrae)
Darius Martin (knee - unspecified ACL injury)
Miro "injured" Sabian's arm recently, and Sabian announced on Twitter that he's getting surgery. So is he just playing into the storyline on social media, or is the storyline designed to cover for an actual injury? Either way I don't expect him back in the ring for a while.
In contrast, Jericho's arm injury is legit but he's still appearing on TV and trying to get a match like it's no big deal. MJF challenged Jericho to a Stadium Stampede match two weeks from now, but Jericho reportedly needs 4-6 weeks to recover. So either the reports are overestimating how hurt he is, or Jericho's going to have to creatively avoid doing anything physical...or they'll have to postpone the match right after setting the date. I'm not sure what they're thinking with this one. (Maybe Jericho could call his new buddy Mike Tyson?)

Nowhere to Run--Ch. 27
Tumblr media
Chapter 27
I woke up slowly, wrapped in soft sheets and warm arms. My head rested on Jericho’s chest. Sleep still tugged at the corners of my mind. I curled a little closer, my leg curling over his.
He hummed against my hair. I could felt him smile. “Have I told you how much I like it when you do that?”
           “Do what?”
One of his hands slipped beneath the sheet and curled around my thigh to pull my leg further over him. “That.” He kissed the top of my head. “I like having you wrapped around me.”
I giggled. “Like in the hot tub last night?”
Jericho’s laugh rumbled through his chest. It vibrated through me and made me feel desperately happy. “I like that, too. But I like this. I like just having you this close.”
I took a breath, breathing in the scent of his skin. It was Ivory Spring and mint, and it made me feel calm. It made me feel safe. It made me feel at home.
For an instant, I thought about how much I’d started to hate California and everything it represented to me. I wondered if I could find happiness in Florida. Could I make myself at home here? Was I brave enough to ask for that?
***
Jericho wasn’t lying when he said that he liked having Kat close. He was never happier than when he had her in sight. The ache in his chest eased. He loved watching her, no matter what she was doing. There was something beautifully graceful about everything she did, even if she was just writing out cue cards for Sammy in the props room. He couldn’t deny that one of his favorite memories of Kat was that first day when he caught her doing just that. It was the moment that everything started.
She had gotten into his heart without him even knowing it. One day she was just their assistant. He might have recognized that she was beautiful and good at her job, but what mattered the most to him was that she did her job well. And then it felt like the very next day he couldn’t look at her without his heart racing and his head spinning with plans and schemes to get her close and keep her that way.
Now he had her, and he loved her more than he could put into words. He wanted nothing more than to make her happy. To give her anything and everything that she wanted. And he hoped, one day, to have the one thing that he wanted. He wanted—he needed—to keep her close to him for the rest of his life.
But for the moment, he would be content with having her in his arms as many hours as possible.
“How are you feeling this morning?” he asked her softly. The last thing he wanted was to remind her of the pain that she’d brought along from California. But he needed to know what he could do to help her if he could.
She pressed her hand over his heart. “I don’t know,” she replied. “Part of me doesn’t want to go to work tonight. But part of me doesn’t want to let all of this stop me from being with other people who mean something to me.”
Jericho smiled and let his fingers stroke gently against her cheek. His index finger settled beneath her chin and tilted her head up to look at him. “You know that you won’t be alone. It won’t just be me, sweetheart. All of us—me, Sammy, Jake, Santana and Ortiz—we’ll protect you.”
Her green eyes glistened as if she were about to cry. “I know.” She gave him a faint smile and stretched up, silently asking him for a kiss. He happily obliged.
***
Jericho and I walked into the back of Daily’s Place side-by-side, each carrying a tray of coffee cups. He smiled encouragingly as we split up. He went to the Inner Circle dressing room. I went the opposite direction toward the EVP room, where Matt, Nick, and Kenny were working. After the last few weeks, I hadn’t even stopped to ask the EVPs if they wanted coffee. I’d just been bringing it to them as if I’d been their assistant, too. I did enough for Tony Khan backstage that it felt like I managed more than just the Inner Circle.
I balanced the carrier in one hand as I knocked on the EVP dressing room door. It took a few moments before someone answered. Nick Jackson grinned when he saw me, stepping out of the way so I could come in. Matt was at the vanity table by the mirror with Kenny, a notepad covered in writing sitting between them.
“Coffee delivery,” Nick said toward the other two.
I smiled as Matt and Kenny jumped up and rushed over to grab up their cup. Once all three of them had their drinks, I grabbed mine from the carrier and tossed it into the recycling bin just inside the door. I held my coffee up in salute and started toward the door.
“Hey, Kat?” Matt’s voice stopped me. I turned back toward him with raised brows. “What do you do around here?”
From the corner of my eye, I saw Kenny give him a look like he was crazy. “I’m the Inner Circle’s assistant?”
The elder Jackson shook his head. “No, I’m asking about everything you do. I see you running around all night doing a lot of stuff that has nothing to do with Jericho and his boys.”
I took a breath and gave his query serious thought. “Well, I do whatever I need to for the Inner Circle. I’m doing coffee runs for you guys now. I make sure match cards are up-to-date, printed out, and put at production, on the tunnel stairs, with commentary, and with the timekeeper. I bring ring gear around from the seamstresses and ringside if they need me to. I make sure that the dressing rooms have water, towels, and the catering menus. If they need me to, I bring catering orders around.”
Matt looked at Kenny and Nick. The three of them seemed to communicate silently. At last, Matt spoke. “You’re way more than the Inner Circle’s assistant, Kat. I think the three of us, TK, and you need to revisit your contract. You deserve a bigger paycheck that what you’re getting now.”
“Seriously?” I spat out, not quite sure I was hearing him correctly.
“Seriously,” Matt laughed. “You’re practically indispensable around here, and you should be paid for it.”
“I can stay the Inner Circle’s assistant, though, right?” I was surprised by the way my voice came out small and terrified at the thought that I’d be taken away from them.
Kenny grinned at me. “If that’s what you want. We just want you to be paid for the work you do, Kat.”
I took a breath and smiled. “Thanks, guys. Let me know when you want to deal with all that.”
Nick held the door for me as I walked out, still surprised by the fact that the Bucks and Kenny noticed what I did. It was one of the wonderful things about working at AEW. The people in charge took notice of everyone who worked for them. I smiled a little and turned down the hallway toward catering to pick up the menus for the night.
***
Jericho leaned against the wall in the Inner Circle dressing room across from Sammy, Jake, Santana, and Ortiz. “Here’s the deal, boys,” he said as he tucked his hands into his pockets. “Jack Perry is to be kept away from Kat. Don’t worry about the details. But if you see that little dipshit anywhere near her, get her out of there by any means necessary.”
“Aren’t the two of them together?” Jake asked, his head cocked to the side.
           “No,” Jericho spat. “They aren’t.”
Santana stood up and gestured between himself and Ortiz. “Don’t worry, Chris, me and ‘Tiz, we got this. Consider lil’ mamí protected.”
“Thanks, boys,” he replied giving them a nod. Santana reached back, thumped Ortiz on the shoulder, and the two of them disappeared out the door.
He still felt that ache from being out of sight of Kat, but he couldn’t help but feel a little more at east knowing that she wouldn’t have to face Jack alone. It wouldn’t surprise him if she let him have it later once she realized what he’d done. At the moment, it was what he had to do to make sure that she wasn’t alone. He’d promised her that. She wouldn’t be alone if she had to face Jack.
***
“Hey, mamí,” I heard from behind me. I didn’t have to turn around to know that it was Santana. And where he went, Ortiz was usually close behind.
“What can I do for you boys?” I called back to them. I’d just finished dropping water and menus in all the dressing rooms, and I was ready to loop back to the Inner Circle to see if they needed anything special for the night. They were on the run card for a backstage segment and then PnP were in a tag match at the top of the second hour of the show.
Ortiz stepped up beside me and threw his arm around my neck. “Actually, mamí, we came to see what we could do for you.”
I turned toward him with my brows raised. “Excuse me?”
“Yeah,” Santana agreed from the other side. He walked backward so he could look at me while we walked. I reached out and grabbed him by the shirt to move him in front of me so he wouldn’t run into anything. “Payback for all the stuff you do for us.”
I stopped dead in the middle of the hallway and looked between the two of them. “Okay, what’s really going on?” They looked at each other rather than at me. That did it. “Did he put you up to this?”
“Did who put us up to what?” Ortiz asked innocently.
I crossed my arms over my chest and stared. “Don’t be stupid,” I snapped at them.
Before they could say anything, I saw an angry glare settle on Santana’s face. His jaw locked, shoulders squared, chest bucked up. I turned to follow his gaze. Jack had just walked through the door at the end of the hall, Marko and Luchasaurus right alongside him. I locked eyes with him and felt my heart squeeze to a stop in my chest. I couldn’t breathe, and I’m sure I made a noise that sounded like a strangled animal.
“Come on, Kat,” Ortiz said firmly as he took me by the arm. Santana pushed past us to stand in front of me. His arms were crossed over his chest and somehow it made him look so big that he seemed to take up the entire hallway. “Let him handle it.”
I let Ortiz guide me back to the safety of Jericho and the Inner Circle dressing room.

...that was the only Santana gif i liked... lol
Tumblr media
You were the girl who had the personality that just attracted people towards you. Even when you tried to downplay it, so that you weren't bringing attention to yourself, it never made a difference. Being in a job where you are social all the time was something you knew you'd excel at, and as a wrestling fan being in charge of the social media department for All Elite Wrestling was a blessing.
One of your favorite things about working for AEW was that it really was like a family, since day one you could just feel it in the air. You had prior experience working for some other indie promotions, and it was definitely different when you stepped foot on your first day into AEW. There were also some people that you automatically clicked with and they were all pretty different, one of them being Santana ... you both immediately bonded over growing up in NYC - although he grew up in the Bronx and you grew up a less rough area, you often found yourselves talking about different spots you both went to growing up. Joey Janela was another one of your favorites, same thing growing up in the same general area, and you worked with Joey a lot on the indies. You loved the girls that they brought into the roster Britt Baker and Brandi quickly became ladies you looked up to, as well as the makeup team they might've been your favorites to hang around during your down time.
Dynamite was your favorite part about AEW because of everyone going out together afterwards. Of course some would opt out, but you loved the socializing, it was honestly super motivating and promoted your own mental health. Every Wednesday the crew would find a spot, whether it was a local bar or the hotel bar - and you were there with your whiskey sour or glass of wine depending on your mood.
Santana was in the corner of the bar with his tag partner of several years, Ortiz. He watched you, he always watched you and became more and more protective as time went on. You weren't dumb, you always felt his eyes on you, watching every movement you made. He had quickly become one of your best friends, at least thats how you felt. If you were ever lonely, he was the first one you texted. No matter what time, day or night, he was there. But on these nights you went out as a group you found yourself surrounded by Joey, Britt, sometimes Sammy and a few others and Santana would isolate himself.
An hour after being at the bar and him remaining in the same area you finally went over after a conversation with the group came to an end. "Hey!" you say with excitement, glass in hand from behind him running your hand down his bicep to get his attention. He turned around with a smirk, "Hey baby girl, whatchu up to?" "Why don't you come join the group? Come hang out with me." you say, trying your hardest to charm him. You really didn't have to try that hard because he wanted you, he really did. "I'll come over in a bit." he says. You feel yourself slump, because he says that every damn week and never does. You frown slightly, "Yeah..right." You turn to walk away and once there is no way for you to hear them Ortiz speaks up. "What the hell man!" he says hitting Santana's shoulder. "What?!" "Maaaaaan, for WEEKS! She's been hinting at you, what the hell." "I don't know man, I'd do literally anything for her. She's too good and I man...you know me I fuck up every relationship I'm in." Ortiz shook his head in disappointment. "You ain't even gonna give it a shot?? You're pushing her right into Janela's arms.. literally." he said nodding over to where you were with the group.
You dug the hot dirtbag kind of thing that Joey had, for some odd reason you did. So you didn't mind the flirtatious relationship the two of you had developed. But he wasn't what you wanted and it made you so bummed out that 30 minutes had passed and you didn't even see Santana in the bar anymore.
You whipped out your phone to text him. "Where did you go?" you sent to him. "Back to my room, sorry baby." You hated when he called you petnames, especially when he knew you were probably pissed. "What the fuck Santana." you sent back to him and then put your phone away, you didn't even want to see what kind of reply he would come up with. You were completely helpless when it came to him though, you were attracted to everything about him. That thug vibe was a huge turn on for you, and you found yourself constantly looking at his social media, especially the photos in the gym, you were smitten hard. At the same time as much as you wanted him you couldn't keep with the empty promises from him. Maybe this would've been that indicator that you two wouldn't make it as a couple.
When you got back to your room that night you slumped right onto the king sized bed in your room and finally pulled your phone back out, several unread texts from Santana. "Let's see tonights excuses" you say to yourself.
"I'm sorry, I was really tired" ..the first text. "You know that I love spending time with you" ... "Shit, are you really going to ignore me?" .. "Text me when you get back to the room?" .. "I'm sorry Y/N." "At least let me know that you made it back safely.." ..
That last one got to you, because if he hung out with you tonight then he would know you got back safely. Asshole. You roll your eyes, not wanting to send him anything back, but you couldn't help yourself.
"I'm fine and back in my room." you texted him. He immediately texted you back which made you smile a little, at least he's been waiting by his phone all night, maybe panicking a little. "Are you mad at me?" "What the fuck do you think?" .. you hated to be like that, but at this point thats often the language you two used with each other. "I know, can I come by your room?" You sat there and threw your head back because you were annoyed with yourself because you knew you were going to say okay. But if he came by tonight, something would need to happen because if it didn't, then this friendship/flirtatiousness had to end. "201" you responded. 5 minutes later and he was there at your door, white v-neck shirt, his adidas workout pants and he always had the best shoes for his outfits. Just in that simple outfit he looked so damn good. The mix of alcohol and loneliness had you wanting him more tonight than you had before. You opened the door then turned around. "You gonna be cold to me?" "I don't know Santana, I'm so over this shit." "What shit?" You were so annoyed he was playing the stupid card. "Oh my god, this...us....either put up or shut-up because this is ju-" you were quickly cut off from your rant with his lips pressing against yours and his arms wrapping around your waist pulling you closer into him. He broke apart after a few moments. "I'm done too, let's do this, forreal." "Really?" you ask with big eyes which makes him smirk down at you. "Yeah." "Ugh finally." you say and you pull him back towards you for your lips to press against each others one more time. Your back hits the mattress and you knew all the tension was going to be let go tonight. Your legs wrapped around him as he then kneels up to take his shirt off. He nods at you gesturing that if you don't do the same he'll rip your shirt off in a second. You sit up and do the same and then he continues to kiss you, your lips, down to your neck, when he gets to your hips, he pulls down the jeans you had been wearing, your panties soaked at this moment and he bit his lip when he looked back up at you. You were so nervous but so eager. "You want this right?" you double checks. "Yes!" you say rolling your eyes and that just fuels him with confidence. You knew Santana was an experienced guy and really had no doubts about his talents in bed, but damn it was better than you ever expected. The way his tongue moved against your most sensitive area, then pumping his fingers inside of you, you were completely his melting right into him. "Mmmmm, fuuuck" you moaned out when you were coming close to your climax. "Cum for me baby...cum for me now" he starts sweet and then growls and you feel yourself tighten around his fingers, his tongue flicking against your nub. When you came, it was that release you'd been craving and that was just with his tongue and fingers alone. You pulled him to kiss you, tasting yourself on his lips. You then look at each other and he searches your eyes, wanting them to tell him what to do next. "Fuck me" you let out. That damn smirk, it showed on his face once again, he did exactly what you told him. You moaned out loud when you felt him ease his length into you and you gripped onto his biceps. "You good baby?" You nodded as the breaths you took got more and more shallow. Time was nonexistent as he put you in all kinds of positions and then finally both of you climaxing at the same time.
He laid on his back his arms sprawled out and pulled you into him. "I'm sorry...fuck I've been an asshole." "Not an asshole, just an idiot." He laughs, "Yeah okay, an idiot. I don't want to hurt you, that's all I'm worried about." You look up at him now, resting your chin on his chest. "Stop doubting yourself, if you could just be the Santana I know, then we'll be fine." A genuine smile creeps upon his lips as his hand moves to the back of your head pulling you in for another sensual kiss.

AEW: Predicting the Next Champions (from Dec 2020 Onward)
Note: Spoilers for AEW Dynamite ‘Winter is Coming’ 2nd December Show
Tumblr media
So Winter Came, and it came for Jon Moxley’s title reign. With a new champion, Kenny Omega’s reign will begin and most likely rule into and potentially beyond the year 2021 - along with what seems to be a budding relationship with IMPACT wrestling as well. At this current point I am expecting all the current champions: Darby, Cage, Young Bucks, and Shida to still be champions come the year’s end. So now is time to determine who will take the title from them? Note: While I am Legitimizing the FTW Championship for these predictions I am not doing predictions for the AEW Diamond Ring since it seems to be an annual trophy thing, the same applies for the Deadly Draw medals.
Potential AEW Trios Championship Prediction: Death Triangle Alternative Options: Jurassic Express, Best Friends & Orange Cassidy or Dark Order This is just an out-there one because there currently is no Trios Championship, but recently Tony Khan has noted that there is the possibility of a Trios Championship being introduced in 2021, and with several stables having 3 members it does look very likely.  So for my money, PAC and the Lucha Bros’ faction Death Triangle (or Triángulo de la Muerte) will be the first to claim the gold. Currently a tween faction having feuded with Eddie Kingston and family, Death Triangle is definitely one of the most popular trios stables in AEW, to the point that we’ve anticipated their reunion longer than they’ve been a stable. Also, the Lucha Bros are due a title win, they fell short on the AEW Tag tournament and kinda hovered in the midcard, so they do need this the most. Alternatively, I can see other trios winning with the same appeal. Jurassic Express have been a favourite babyface faction who also seem to lose more than they win, the Best Friends with OC could use their experience to establish a solid reign and the Dark Order’s resurgence and usage of the Freebird Rule could allow them to enable dominance by numbers. While Team FTW and the Inner Circle could also be long shots, FTW have their own title and the Inner Circle, may have other plans for them. One can wish that the Trios Championship could be Intergender to allow more women to wrestle and be involved in factions, could have All-Women trios or mixed Trios but I do doubt so I won’t entertain for now.
FTW Championship Prediction: Cody Rhodes Alternative Options: Eddie Kingston, Lance Archer, ‘Hangman’ Page, Wardlow or Mr. Brodie Lee Recently the FTW Championship has been gaining attention due to Team Tazz’s prolonged feud with Darby Allin overlapping with Cody Rhodes. The rankings do have Cage and Starks very high up without title matches - save for Cage’s Casino Ladder Match victory entitling him to one. In the prior Dynamite, Tazz demanded that the FTW Championship be legitimized, and I feel like this will only happen if it changes hands to Cody. As much as he is talented and has a good head on him, Cody has unfortunately been reluctant to leave a form of spotlight. With the Shaq thing going nowhere like the Tyson thing was with Jericho, Cody making a ‘rise up’ feud with Cage and winning the FTW Championship would be a means to keep Cody in a top billing as he looks to legitimize the title only under his possession. This could also further storyline with Tazz, having ‘Hook’ perhaps side with his father and FTW fight to reclaim their branded title, or even Tazz vacating the title from Cody in stubborn rage. The alternative would be down to who else would have Brian Cage in their corsairs to be a legitimate threat. The FTW Championship this way could be a ‘Big Man’ belt since not many can beat Cage and share the FTW mantra Tazz would allow the belt to change hands for. With that in mind, Archer, Wardlow and Brodie are definitely ‘Big Man’ wrestlers capable of dethroning Cage and Eddie Kingston would definitely be someone who fits the FTW attitude, the man is money after all. Hangman Page would also be a decent shout to further his slow-burn storytelling, having Hangman fall into nihilism with this title, but for it to bring him no joy since this first singles title of his is from an illegitimate championship.
AEW World Tag Team Championship Prediction: Santana & Ortiz (Inner Circle) Alternative Options: FTR, Best Friends or Dark Order It is no easy feat to dethrone the Young Bucks. There’s not much else you can say about that, because of this it is not easy to determine who in the uber talented tag division can usurp them. Acclaimed, TNT, Private Party and Top Flight are not ready and Hybrid 2 are so talented but not in the champion mentality, the Trios Title talk also makes JE and Death Triangle less likely to just go for the tandem title. As a result, I am picking the former LAX to beat the Bucks. While Jericho and Hager seem to be representing the Inner Circle’s tag front right now, I do not think they would be successful to defeat the Bucks, this could trigger Santana and Ortiz to finally get involved. Like the Lucha Bros, despite some stellar matches they have found themselves aimless, so this is a good time to rebuild them to the great tag team we know them to be. With the advantage of the Inner Circle backing them also, it would restore legitimacy to the faction’s name. Other than the Inner Circle, FTR are probably the most likely to usurp the Bucks, I only don’t think they will because as the former holder it’d be a bit of a flip flop. The feud doesn’t need a title after all. Best Friends may not have to team with OC to capture gold, the same way that Dark Order don’t need to go for the Trios to capture gold, the Dark Order’s overness and the fact that the Bucks have taken responsibility for their booking could mean that they will seek to pay off the faction as a whole.
AEW TNT Championship Prediction: MJF Alternative Options: Sammy Guevara, Jungle Boy, Ricky Starks, Orange Cassidy or Miro Darby Allin is definitely entertaining as hell, but now he has the test of seeing if he can carry momentum on a weekly TV basis as a champion. I am certainly sure he can do it, but his downfall can easily be putting his body in too much harm’s way, which fits the strategy of MJF. Potentially without the AEW Diamond Ring when his challenge comes around, MJF can certainly profit from being a title holder in year 2 of AEW, his prior snipes at Darby especially before his World Title match against Moxley can fuel his confidence going against him and with the Inner Circle and Wardlow flanking him it can lead to him resorting to cheat tactics for heat and potentially lead to his downfall for when he loses the title, as well as neutralizing the legendary Sting - who I expect to stick around Darby, or at the least have a paternity test - for that extra dose of nuclear heat. Ricky Starks is considered the common alternative right now given their long-term feud, but let’s not forget Sammy Guevara had a great series of matches with Darby in the early days too. Miro right now is in one of AEW’s weaker gimmicks at the moment but a TNT title reign can restore dominance to his character. One possibility we do have to consider though is the heel turn, Darby could easily become consumed with defending his championship by any means, or his challenger obsessed with claiming gold, the former would better suit against opponents like Orange Cassidy - who will then be forced to ‘try’ - or Jungle Boy - who would seek to establish himself as a future world champion and not just an athletic midcarder.
AEW Women’s World Championship Prediction: Britt Baker DMD Alternative Options: Abadon, Kris Statlander, Thunder Rosa or Jade Cargill Despite its criticism, I believe that Hikaru Shida’s record-breaking title reign has been for the most part great. Shida herself has made a great fighting champion, calling on all contenders and having very good matches, to the point where we hold Shida matches at a higher standard to others. While I would love to have a strike match between her an a strongly-booked Tay Conti, I don’t think it’ll happen in time for Shida to still be champion, because the Doctor is in. Britt Baker was intended to be the Face of the Women’s Division, but after failing to connect with the crowd she became a revelation as a heel, only to be cut down by injury. In my opinion, AEW have maintained confidence in Shida’s reign because they want Britt to overcome her, likely by snide heel tactics to subdue Shida when she continues a juggernaut run through the division. Bringing a heel champion in will also open the door for more face challengers to shine, including returns for Riho, Statlander and Yuka Sakazaki. Currently Abadon has began to feud with Shida, crossing paths for the first time since Abadon’s only AEW loss against the then-not-champion Shida. Leaning on having the champion face fear, despite the Champion’s insistence that she is not afraid, it is still possible for fear to take over and for Abadon to win the championship, her gimmick definitely stands out and she has a definite following, there is also crossover value for her if AEW link her with or against IMPACT’s Su Yung and/or Rosemary. Other than Abadon, Statlander’s return from injury could start with a Heel turn of her own, allowing Statlander to use her power moves to more intensity, former NWA Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa may also rekindle the rivalry for a second crack. While I’ll admit I’ve not seen Jade Cargill wrestle, if looks are to be judged, Cargill can certainly rule as a smarmy heel champion, and there can be added story with Vickie Guerrero allying with her and guiding her to get personal vengeance on Shida where Nyla failed.
AEW World Championship Prediction: ‘Hangman’ Page Alternative Options: PAC, Brodie Lee or Brian Cage Storytelling doesn’t have to be convoluted to be great, AEW and NXT have proven that with stellar stories even when we knew how it would end. And climbing Adam Page from the gutter to the top is certainly the story one would top off a big PPV or an Anniversary show on. Granted, it’d be a super slow burn, but Omega is certainly a champion you expect to hold ‘Big Platinum’ for a long time, it also serves AEW better to limit the amount of times their main belt changes hands, which I’m sure the EVPs are all well aware of. Kenny’s alliance with Callis can usher in some IMPACT wrestlers to perhaps bolster Kenny’s allies and opponents but for now I feel that AEW should keep their world title at the very list restricted to their roster. Outside of Hangman, PAC definitely has unfinished business with Omega, the Bastard’s talent cannot go amiss and his character has been a proven success in WWE and the Indies as strong titleholder. Brodie may also fit the top title, his feud with Moxley was brief but very entertaining, I would love him to have the same coveting that he did in the Moxley feud, even having Dark Order members carrying the title for him to the ring. The final option so far has to be Brian Cage, in NJPW Kenny had multiple foils; Okada, Tanahashi, but one of the major ones was the ‘Stone Pitbull’ Tomohiro Ishii, a man with plenty of physical similarities to Brian Cage. Cage’s deceptive speed and monster power could prove to be a similar foil to Omega as Ishii had been for him years prior. So yeah, congrats to AEW’s new champion, I wonder how many I’ll get right.
