September 9 - It turns out not all Romance languages are very romantic, as Italian uncanonizes destiel. Misha responds, chaos ensues.

When the Italian dub to 15x18 was released, the question asked by most destiel shippers was whether Castiel's confession would be explicitly reciprocated or not. Turns out, the confession didn't even take place, at least not in the way expected. After a romantic build-up about Castiel's "one thing I really want but I know I can't have," the angel surprised everyone by saying "ti voglio bene" instead of the expected "ti amo" [full translation and the clip here].
According to various sources, "ti voglio bene" is a platonic "I love you," literally "I wish you well," as opposed to the romantic "ti amo" [x] [x] [x]. This means that destiel became officially uncanonized in Italian and has caused huge criticizm among destiel shippers.
Misha Collins released a short video on his social media in response to the dub. The video is titled "L'amore é amore in qualsiasi lingua ❤️ (Love is love in any language)" and it shows Misha saying "Ciao Italia, ti amo" - "Hello, Italy, I love you (romantic)." [x] [x] [x]

Misha is also trending on Twitter as destiel officially becomes ambiguous canon, unreciprocated canon, reciprocated canon, and non-canon all at the same time.
