okay but first time Em took Vel on a flying date, Vel was probably terrified yes, but just imagine her after they finally land on some high tower and Velvette's hair are so messy it's crazy, and she's like "fuckin hell" but as she looks at Em she calms down because yes, it was fun thing to do, so she doesnt mind.. that much (and as long as nobody would see her)
(also, Em would probably just later take care of Vel's hair <3)
Flying together (Emilette/Angelic Vogue)
“I am not fucking sure about this, Em.”
“Common Vris! It will be so much fun!”
Velvette looked at the sky. How would be flying up there? Seeing hell from so above? The idea kind of made her sick, not having control of what would happen up there, her feet not touching the ground. What if she fell? What if, once up there, she got dizzy and threw up? But it would be a lie if she said that, part of her, didn’t think that the idea was exciting. Be above everything else, would she feel the freedom that flying demons said they felt when flying? Experiencing that was intriguing, but still…
“Let's make a deal!” Emily clasped her hands, giving excited jumps “Give it a try. Just once. Let me try to convince you that flying is one of the best things both in Heaven and Hell!”
Since Emily got her wings back a week ago, she had been so happy. But that meant she wanted to share that happiness with Velvette by showing her how awesome was to fly. And it seemed like this day Emily had made her goal to finally convince her.
“What if you can’t carry me?”
“Nah, I have carried babies heavier than you” Emily chuckled “And, if you don’t like it, you will get to choose our activities for the next month. But! If you like it, you must fly with me at least one day per week for the next… two months!” she outstretched her hand “Do we have a deal?”
Velvette laughed.
“Look at you. Making deals like a professional”
“I have had the best teacher” Emily winked at her with a smile “And the prettiest, too.”
Shit- having her wings back had given the ex-seraphim an extra boost of confidence. And sometimes she said compliments like that suddenly. She should have gotten used to it by now, but it still took her off guard and made her blush like a fucking teenager. And this time wasn’t the exception.
She looked at Emily’s hand, with their deal. She still wasn’t sure about this, but she hadn’t seen her that happy in a long time. When Emily was happy, even hell looked like a beautiful place. Her smile made everything brighter, lovely even. And clearly what would make her happier right now was to fly with her. How could she say no when the fallen angel smiled at her like that?
Plus! She was no pussy! She wouldn’t back off just because flying looked scary! Who knew, maybe it was funnier than it looked like.
“Fine” she took Emily’s hand “We have a deal.”
Emily squeaked and hugged her. Velvette wrapped her arms around her, pulling her close to and sighed. One of these days, Emily was going to be her fucking doom. But she was smiling more, and that was all that mattered.
“So… how do we do it?”
“Well, I think it will be safer for you if I carry you on my back this time”
“Are you sure?”
“Trust me! It will be amazing!”
For her, maybe. Velvette still had doubts, but she had made a deal and wasn’t going to break it now. Emily turned around, so the Overlord hugged Emily's back, wrapping her arms around her neck, and holding on tightly. The ex-seraphim held Velvette’s ankles carefully and slowly spread her wings. Velvette was careful not to touch them or hurt her.
“Are you ready?” she said looking at the sky
“Yes,” she hugged Emily a little more. She was warm, as always “Only if you are.”
Velvette was not, in fact, ready.
Emily was careful not to take off too quickly, but Velvette felt her stomach sink anyway and hugged Emily tighter, closing her eyes as she felt the wind hit her face. Soon, she felt Emily's hands gently on hers, followed by her voice.
"Open your eyes.”
Slowly, Velvette opened her eyes. At first, everything was spinning, but then...
The view from so high up was wonderful. She could see the divisions of the pentagram, and visualize her district, and Carmilla's, and Charlie's hotel. The lights were bright, but the red color of the sky gave it a unique touch that couldn't be seen from the ground. Emily smiled at her and left a soft caress on the back of her hand.
“Where do you want to go?”
Without being able to say a word, Velvette pointed to the sector where one of the rivers that crossed the pentagram should be. Emily nodded and held her again.
"There we go"
The descent was worse. Velvette forced herself to bite her lip hard as she felt how the air was trapped in her chest and how the wind whipped hard against her skin. She was sure Emily was going as slow as she could, but she had to maintain some speed if she wanted to carry them both.
Suddenly, she felt how the speed decreased so she dared to open one eye. They were flying above the river, and she could see the reflection of the two of them there.
She could not help but smile. Velvette looked terrified as she hugged Emily, but she the fallen angel had a big smile on her lips. She liked the image that the water showed her. Simply the two together in the middle of a flying session.
Then, Emily ascended again. This time Velvette just held on tight, but she tried to keep her eyes open and watch as Pentagram City grew smaller and smaller. The air tickled her skin, but the sensation of it was beginning to become refreshing. Smaller and smaller, it was fun to get to the top, and how everything you knew became just a point.
They passed through the entire of Pentagram City. Going up and down, Rosie's district was organizing a party, they admired the territory fights from above, they flew over the Hazbin Hotel and of course, when passing through Carmilla's district and seeing the damn old woman, she asked Emily to go there. So Emily went down at full speed, they passed by her (a moment that Velvette took advantage of to give her the middle finger) and then they went back up. Emily scolded her, but ha! It had been worth it. She had no idea if Carmilla had managed to see her, but it didn't matter.
When they finished the tour, Emily went up again, only this time higher, straight into the clouds, so the city disappeared. Velvette closed her eyes, expecting the hell clouds to cause her some kind of pain but... no, they simply passed through them, and collided with her skin. They were fuzzy.
She couldn't help it, she let out a laugh. Emily laughed too, and the two of them went through different clouds, making holes in the middle. Finally, they stopped, and the fallen angel began to descend directly towards the Vees district, landing directly on the balcony in Velvette's room.
She climbed off Emily's back and clung to the railing, trying to catch her breath. That had been... terrifying, she felt like at any moment she was going to fly away or that her stomach was going to come out. They hadn't done as many pirouettes or somersaults, but she still felt her heart pounding against her chest and slowly... whatever was inside her... returning to her body. That had been crazy, she could have…
Emily giggled, to which Velvette returned to look at her.
"What?"
"Your hair"
That set off all the alarms within the young Overlord.
“What's wrong with my hair?”
And without waiting another second, she opened her cell phone in selfie mode and saw herself. She froze. What the fuck?
This was a disaster. A real disaster. Because of all the wind, her hair was disheveled in all directions. There were strands all over her face, and her hairstyle had become undone. Fucking shit. If she had known this, she would have put on gel or a protective cap or some shit like that. It was horrible. A disaster. If someone saw her like that...
“You look adorable,” Emily whispered, placing a hand on her cheek, making Velvette look at her “I love all the hairstyles you have, but there's something I love about your hair after flying.”
Velvette looked at the ex-seraphim. Her hair had also become disheveled, but it looked beautiful on her. Wild. Free. Her eyes seemed to shine with intensity, the kind that warms your heart. And then she started laughing as she placed her hand on top of Emily's. Fuck her hair, anyway, they were alone in the tower.
“That was terrible.”
Emily gave her one of her smiles.
“Would you do it again?”
She thought of the wind. And how light she felt. It was as if she left everything behind in the pentagram, and that, as long as she was in the air, there was only her. And Emily. Just the two of them existing without anything to bind them. It had been fun even, the way they spun, the feeling in her body once she'd gotten used to it.
“Maybe” Velvette gave her a small touch on her forehead and pushed her back. “We'll see.”
Emily jumped excitedly.
"Brilliant! Because I can't wait to teach you back landings, and circle spins, and V pirouettes! They are soooo cool!”
“The what?”
"This is gonna be great!"
Velvette simply looked at her, still smiling. If she said it would be great, it certainly would be.

hmmmmmmmmmmm emilette time
#Emilette#ive been focusing a bit more on frankley and creetus as of late so i decided to give her some love#because last time i drew her she just looked.... so odd?? like. it was hard to draw her#but now she just. worked perfectly. so i just had fun filling the page with doodles#i deleted a huge one that was a spoiler and replaced it for a buncha tiny emilettes#alsO ive been thinking a lot about her because. i realized some things i haven't developed about her#like. the others have very specific things they're good at#but she's just... regular at most? and the ones she IS good at are not things that are like... SUPER defining for her. y'know?#i dunno. i might be thinking about that too hard#i do like the vagueness of it. like... you don't need to EXCEL at something specific to be happy#and that's something that could apply pretty well to her#but. i dunno. I make fun of her a lot because she's an idiot and its funny#but like... am i taking it too far by not giving her something MORE like i did with the others?#she's bad at a lot of things. i can name those. i can also name the things she's not proficient at but good enough.#im not sure if theres anything she's particularly excellent at#and the fact that there's more things she sucks at than things she's good at feels. hm.#im not even sure where im going with all this i didnt even explore those things in these doodles lkJLKDSFJ#okay yEAH IM RAMBLING A LOT#also this isnt going in the tag its too messy#just have some emilettes!!! have fun!!!!

Time to continue this! Their arrival to mainland is a bit of a messy one, hiding from everyone, trying to get their lives back on track... Emilette is no different, trying to adjust to the changes she knows she has to make.
Post-Snaktooth:
Going Home
Previous - First - Next
Everyone was hopeful. Despite what they had all gone through, now that the airship had safely arrived at the mainland, everyone was wearing big—although tired—smiles. And understandably so, since despite what her head had told her during those terrifying moments just barely hours ago, everyone had managed to stay in one piece.
While she had been participating here and there with the group, adding in her own commentaries as everyone did their best to conceal their snakified bodies, her eyes were heavy, and soon after everyone was ready she found herself simply listening in silence. When the journalist handed her a piece of the balloon's remains, all she could do was grunt in response as she covered herself with the cloth. The battle from before had taken a toll on her, not being used to moving around so much, but she knew she still had to keep herself awake. At least, until everyone was home…
Her eyes shifted from grumpus to grumpus. Everyone had a place to call home, right? Wambus and Triffany had mentioned the old house they used to live in and how it should still be in good condition; Filbo mentioned something about staying with the journalist; Shelda mentioned her family waiting for her; Snorpy and Chandlo still had enough to afford rent; Floofty, Creetus…
While Wiggle had offered to the few that didn’t have a place of their own to stay for a while at her mansion, Emilette had shied away from the opportunity. It wasn’t as if she didn’t want to accept, especially considering how luxurious it sounded, but… she couldn’t bring herself to. After all she had done to hurt everyone, she couldn’t make them put up with her on a daily basis until who-knew-when.
So, as the gentle sound of the waves faded away and the chattering of the other excited grumpuses filling her ears threatened to lull her to sleep as they walked together, she let her own mind drift away. She never had plans to come back to the mainland; the prospect of leaving everything behind forever had been far too tempting to put too much thought into it at the time. Of course she regretted it now, but what else could she do? The damage was already done, and now reality had once again come back to hit her where it hurt the most: in the end, she was all by herself. Alone.
It took her a moment to realize the group had stopped moving, and goodbyes and see-you-soons were being exchanged. She shook her head in an attempt to keep herself awake enough to respond, and watched the first members of the group leave. Then a few others. Then others.
By the time the limousine arrived, only Wiggle’s group was left. The tall, orange grumpus approached her with a concerned frown, “Darling, are you sure you don’t want to come with us? There’s plenty of space to share.”
Beffica was barely a few steps behind, catching up to the conversation with ease, "Yeah, you're missing out. Wiggle said she has this huge pool and I'm dying to chill there till I'm all wrinkly. You should totes come with."
Emilette waved a paw dismissively, her smile betraying the sick feeling in her chest, “I’ll be fine. You guys have fun, I’m sure Gramble’ll love the ducks or whatever you said you have. And Cromdo’ll be thrilled living the rich life. I'll just…" she gestured to the cloth she was holding around her, "I'll raid that pool once I'm all done dealing with this.”
Wiggle smiled back at her, amused, “Swans, dear, not ducks. But alright, suit yourself. You know where to find me if you need where to go.”
Beffica didn't seem as convinced, frowning instead. "Hey. Keep in touch."
"Y-Yeah…" Emilette replied, unsure on how to react to her concerned expression. Whatever jumped inside her stomach in that moment, she made sure to bury it as deep and quickly as she could. Grump, they had to leave soon before she couldn’t hold herself back anymore.
Cromdo was already in the limousine, admiring the details on the inside, while Gramble stood quietly, waiting for Wiggle. After a quick nod at her, Wiggle turned away and got into the car with him. Beffica took one last glance at her before waving a paw and getting inside with the group.
Emilette watched in silence as the vehicle left, letting her tired smile finally drop to her usual frown. The weight on her chest only increased. Was she truly doing the right thing? She didn’t know the first thing about being a good person, but this was for the others’ sake, right? Even if that ended up putting her directly on the streets.
Maybe she could get in contact with her parents. She could try to find a phone… although remembering their number was another story, not to mention if it was still working at all, or if they cared to pick up. But the situation was desperate enough to try-
“Hey.”
Emilette nearly jumped out of her skin. “Grump- Dude!” She put a paw on her chest, glaring at the source of that trembling voice she recognized well, “You gotta stop doing that.”
Frankley scratched their chin with an apologetic smile, “Sorry. It’s just...” They looked away for a moment, looking for the right words, “Do you... really have somewhere to stay?”
She blinked at them. “Yes- No- I mean-” she clicked her teeth together. “I’ll figure it out.”
Frankley frowned, letting a few moments pass. After realizing Emilette wasn’t going to say anything else, they spoke again. “Why did you tell Wiggle no if you have nowhere to go?”
Emilette huffed, then stopped herself. Instead, she took a deep breath. She had to control her temper, wasn’t that part of the issue? “I… don’t know. I don’t want to be a bother, I guess.”
“But she… offered. And she didn't seem to mind.”
"Please," she rolled her eyes, "she didn't mind because she was already inviting the others in. She had to invite me out of courtesy, too. Or pity, at least."
Frankley looked down the road where the car had gone, pondering, "She and Beffica... really seemed concerned for you-"
“Shit- Listen,” she gestured around her, “I’ve hurt you all enough already, okay? They don’t have to put up with me just because I’m homeless now. That's why I said no, get it now?"
Frankley opened their mouth to reply, but quickly closed it when she continued, now glaring at them. "Why are you here anyway? Why didn’t you take her offer either?”
This time, however, Frankley didn’t miss a beat to reply, “I have a place to rent.”
Emilette's glare dropped, instead now simply replaced by disbelief, “...You do?”
They shrugged, “I always had it just in case, as a backup if I ever had to leave the island. I mentioned it earlier, remember?”
“Oh- Right. Sure, yeah, I remember.” The small grumpus mumbled. She vaguely recalled the conversations from earlier, but could only remember the details of a few in her groggy state. She had no idea Frankley had even spoken at the time, so it came as news for her. From seeing them desperately clinging onto that snak back at the island or following every single word anyone said, they had always seemed the more impulsive kind in her mind, so them having a plan in case of something unexpected was… surprising. Then again, she had never truly bothered to get to know them before.
They noted how she had once again fallen silent. Her eye bags were understandably heavier than usual, but they couldn't help but feel the deepness in which they truly went. It wasn't just the trip that had her this exhausted.
"What if…" Frankley mulled over their words, "What if you stay at my place for a few days?"
"What?!" Emilette snapped out of her thoughts almost immediately.
"I-I mean- just for a bit, until you can get back up on your feet!" They waved their paws, taking a step back at her outburst.
"No- No, no, no, no." She pointed at them. "You of all grumpuses don't get to be nice to me after all the shit I put you through. No."
"But you apologized to me..." Frankley replied.
"That- That still doesn't make it okay! Dude! I just-" she gritted her teeth, "That was exactly my point! You can't just act like nothing happened after what I did! You think I would've been able to say that if I hadn't been drunk?! Don't pretend you like me because I said sorry once. I'm garbage, you can't just let that go for one weakass apology."
"I-" Frankley gulped, "I never said I liked you." they replied.
That was enough to shut her right back up. She stared at them. After everything they'd told her back at the island, she expected as much, but hearing them say that outloud still made something awful stir inside.
"But just because I don't like you doesn't mean I'll leave you to die out there." The yellow grumpus continued. While their voice still trembled, they looked at her with conviction.
Emilette looked away from them, grumbling under her breath.
"I-It's my choice, okay?" Frankley continued once again. "I know how it is to have almost nothing, and I don't want someone I know going through it too. A-and you already rejected your only other option, so…"
Curse them and their kindness. Curse her prickling eyes, threatening to blur her gaze. "Ugh, I should've taken it."
Frankley scratched their chin, "...Yeah."
She didn't look at them again, instead nodding with a small hum, but that was enough response for them. They gave her a small smile. "It's this way," they began walking down the street.
Emilette looked at them for a moment, moving further away with each light step. They were still too naive. Too sweet. Too trusting. Too nice. They were an idiot to offer her a chance when she hadn't done anything to deserve it. But the first signs of a headache were forming due to her exhaustion, and the weight of her own sleepy body was threatening to throw her against the floor at any moment… she wasn't in condition to say no again.
She caught up with them, her gaze refusing to leave the ground. She rubbed her arm, noticing its shape was almost back to normal under her clothing. After a few moments walking side by side in complete silence, she mumbled in the lowest voice she could muster, "Thank you."
Frankley looked down at her, tilting their head. "What was that?"
"Fuck you." Emilette corrected herself out loud, not bothering to look up.
The tall grumpus frowned, disappointed, but stayed silent. The next few days with her around were definitely going to be a challenge.

I just realized I completely forgot to post this here!!!
Meet monster Emilette! I drew her a while ago for a contest in a group, she was really fun to design!
A long explanation about the components and thoughts that went into this under the Read More!
I left cavities for both eyes and mouth, since I feel the "host", once corrupted in such a deep level, wouldn't be more than… well, just the shell (we DO only get to see bones for everyone left pre-game)
Also, considering how Liz ended up as a giant monster, it felt appropriate to give her more limbs than she originally had, to give her a more… bug-like appearance and further show the point about the body not being anything like what the grumpus that was there once was.
So, since Emilette is a fan of sweets, if she got corrupted it would mostly consist of bugsnax of that kind.
We have: Baby Cake Legs (head), Sprinklepede (nose), Rainbow Sweetiefly (right horn and upper teeth), Instabug (left horn, top of head, lower teeth, lower part of right middle paw and, though unseen, upper part of right behind paw), Melty Snakpod (body), Scoopy (upper part of front right paw), Sherbie (lower part of front right paw), Caramel Poptick (upper part of front left paw), Wee Mewon (lower part of front left paw and upper part of right middle paw), Sodie D (entire left middle paw, Dr. Sodie (entire left behind paw) and finally, Strabby (lower part of right behind paw).
Drawing with the components for comparison:
Tumblr media
Emilette loves instabugs (she focuses a lot on the aesthetic aspect, which instabug is a clear reference to) so I gave her a lot of those. "In-game", she'd originally be found in Flavor Falls, so she also needed some bugs from that area to represent that! That's where the Strabby and Wee Mewon come from. And the mission to get her home includes catching a Dr. Sodie and Caramel Popticks, which is why I included those!
Also as a small detail, the earrings she had are still there but, since it's such a small detail, I decided to keep her tusks showing instead of transforming all the way so she can be a biiiit more recognizable!
