HI. my jean is my pride and joy. i lost my 50/50 on ayaka's first banner and got her when i first started playing (my first ever 5 star!!) and i just. never looked back. i have a ton of like. actual dps-intended 5 stars that i could easily main but im incapable of giving her up for anyone. i literally have c1 ayaka now and i STILL main jean. if i had a little less dignity or care for my own money i would buy her summer outfit but unfortunately i am poor. so uhhh if anyone wants to tip me $25--

ive been actively working towards a 100k burst since like. well at the very least since before vv was in the fucking strongbox bc i think i have like 500 runs on that stupid ass domain. im obsessed with anemo characters in general tho so it ended up being worth it. someday I will get heizou and i will have a fully-completed build waiting for him when he comes home

anyways. up until today i was running jean on 2vv 2glad, which got me up to about 96k bursts, but her off piece was a shim and I rolled a better shim piece when farming for yoimiya so the 100k burst build is 2vv 2shim with a glad off piece! Currently her weapon is blackcliff longsword (the extra crit dmg is what finally pushed her over into 100k!) but i desperately want jade cutter. i lost the 50/50 when it was running last month so i had to settle for a 4 star :/ without buffs she has around 1.9k atk, a crit ratio of 50/158 , and a 61% anemo dmg bonus. With no buffs or supports her skill crits are around 20k and her burst crits are around 30-35k!

for her showcase rotation I use a standard anemo dps showcase rotation (i believe this one was originally developed for xiao), which since anemo can't take advantage of any reaction buffs is bascially just stacking atk. (I do also use food & potion buffs, idk exactly what the dmg drop is without them bc i havent tried it.) the team is c1 bennett with noblesse and aquilla favonia (high base atk), c0 mona with TTDS and tenacity, and c6 anemo traveler with vv (weapon doesn't matter, mine has sac sword.) the point of all of this is basically just to stack atk buffs bc that's really the only thing anemo dps's can take advantage of, aside from c6 traveler's anemo res shred.

rotation goes bennett skill x2 (to break the cryo regisvine shield) > bennett burst (atk buff scaled off weapon + noblesse buff) > traveler burst (res shred) > mona skill (4pc tenacity atk buff & ttds character swap buff) > mona burst (atk buff) > jean burst! this rotation should also work with any other anemo character you want to build as a dps. I haven't tried it with my xiao yet bc i've been so focused on jean but he regularly hits around 30k per strike unbuffed so. i think it will make him insane lol

ANYWAYS. jean main nation. someday I'll get jade cutter and then i'll be unstoppable

#and before non genshin players comment 'is this english' NO. it is not. i understand it perfectly tho #im not even a dmg player i am very much into the game for the story. jean just makes me go a little crazy so i had to build her into a god #the downside to this rotation is that everything has to be done SUPER quickly tho bc the tenacity buff from mona's skill only lasts 3 secs #and her burst animation makes you lose like half a second afterwards no matter what #asks

Hey. I hope this isn't too weird to ask. Since when did you start saving to be at almost 2000 wishes? Did you wish for any 5 stars, since you first started saving? Do you have a lot of 5 stars till now? I actually started playing genshin around 3 months ago, so I though I should go for a few five star banners that I want, before I start saving for longer in between wishes, since as a beginner I get primos easier. But should I just save and wait for guaranteed?

Also sorry for this barrage of questions. I keep looking at guides online, and youtube videos, but I though I might get clearer answers if i ask directly.

Don't worry, this is very simple misunderstanding.

I'm talking about 2000 wishes I've made, not saved.

For various reasons, I keep a list of all the 5 stars I rolled and how many wishes it took, how many wishes since the last 4 star and 5 star, etc. So I can just =SUM to get how many wishes I've made in total since I started playing Genshin. (It's currently 1996.)

As far as savings go, I have nothing. I had to roll down everything I had for Childe C2 last patch, and then I just rolled everything else into 4 star fishing.

If you're wondering how much you can save, it's usually roughly one 5 star per patch, though it'll need some luck if you don't have Welkin. That makes it one guarantee per two patches. The exact amount of wishes fluctuates from patch to patch. From the estimates I've seen, it can be anywhere from 50 to 100 (in big exploration patches).

Generally, it is smartest to save up to about 150 wishes and use that on the 5 star you really, really want. I know I do it, but 4 star fishing is fake and a bad idea.

Otherwise, it's very easy to lose your guarantee and not have enough when you really need it. Just speaking anecdotally, the first 5 star I rolled was Mona at 80 wishes. The second? Keqing at 24... on her two week banner back in 1.2. That guarantee I spent 80 wishes getting via Mona? Gone. I did manage to get Childe in 1.4, but I had to skip Venti and wait a year afterwards.

In general, you can see I have about average luck with winning 50/50 and not great luck with getting characters early. Single cursed Keqing aside, 50 was the earliest, but sometimes it takes 80+

I just really want to share my gacha experience and best luck ever and some of the worst cuz I'm addicted to gachas since 2017 and oh my god how many of those have I played.

Fgo bullies me almost all the time, but what years of playing it taught me is that if you honestly love your waifu/hasubando, they'll come, like Heroine X Alter or Sigurd or Lanling(4 copies in 10 tickets!! holy shit that man loves me!). I also occasionally get 5☆ one after another or in like 2-3 multis. Heroine X Alter is my only np2 SSR though. Foreigners and assasins love me. But riders and lancers... Where u at, homies?? No 5☆ of those at both jp and na, except for Europa that I picked for 5☆ ticket.

Then there's twst jp. Epel is my best man fr. When his dorm card was released I got 2nd Riddle and then the country boy himself straight after not even getting to 50 pulls. And when I aimed to get his groom card he also brought me Ace in first multis, ehehe. But when I was pulling for Epel's SSR in winter event he got me Jamil instead, also in first 10, I'm still mad. When Vargas camp was released I got Ruggie in first 10. My worst pulls in twst ever were in 1st Halloween event. I had to grind 25/8 for Vil and he only got home in 100 pulls. Last card literally. I'm happy that at least I didn't lose 50/50. Queen is mean :')

And then I also had some lucky genshin rolls that I didn't screen. My first 5☆ was Xiao and he came at around 75, soft pity. And then during first Zhongli banner, when I was rolling for Yanfei, I got Zhongli at 89 and Qiqi at 90. That was very spontaneous. No Yanfei still though. Then I lost soft pity to Jean, but I wanted her so it was fine. I got Raiden guaranteed thanks to that. And a few months ago I got Kokomi on soft pity! My artifacts luck is on next level. I guess I just must build crit Kokomi with these arts.

What got me into gachas was bungo stray dogs mayoi inu kaikitan. My first account was filled with SSRs and first UR that were released, but I lost it after 2 years of grinding. It still hurts. Then I got second one in jp and it's going great! No crazy multis or anything like that though. My best was 2 basic SSRs and no event SRs in one event multi. It's good but at the same time so damn disappointing. My na account has some good cards, but it's mainly Lucy SSR carrying me through all events and story. F for my first acc.

Then I also had Obey Me! phase. This game's gacha fucking sucks period. I lasted for about a year until I lost my account again. All this time the gacha was pure hell, devs didn't give much to pull. I had basic Mammon and Belphegor SSRs carry me, then I somehow got "something to tell you" Satan and maxed it out, it was my favourite card and I fucking lost my acc. This game's gacha and power scale system are so frustrating that I can't get myself to play the game again. I remember grinding a lot just to progress 3-5 levels and then grinding again. I love the story and the boys so much, but damn it's a tough love.

Then I got into bunaru when you could use ink to only get new writers. It's a pretty nice game with a pretty mean gacha. My dream combo were Nagai Kafuu and Shimazaki Touson, they got me 80% of my gold. No rainbows though. New system seems ehh, it can be frustrating.

And I'm also into Nikki games. Love Nikki is frustrating and when I just started playing it I was so confused about everything, there was just too much! Shining Nikki is great and its gacha system is fine, I love it when there's guaranteed. I get all URs in events thought and 50% of those are basic 2 sets. It took me 75 pulls to get full oceanic reverie set without 2nd reflection though and man that was infuriating. But overall I really love the game.

I also played Time Princess. Yes, dress up games are my guilty pleasure. Gacha? Quite nice. Story? Interesting. I love that they have female love interests for female mc, otomes need more of those!

And I also started playing Honkai Impact in September. This game is a masterpiece. I got HoH in my first multi! She carries me. Gacha was kind of strange for me at first but I understood it in a week. It can be frustrating and it takes time grinding, but you need just 1 good valkyrie from gacha and then you can get more from shop. Elysia is life, Elysia is love, breathe if you agree.

Then I tried Tower of Fantasy. I got 2 basic SSRs from gacha and 1 from release gift. In basic gacha I got the cube in 30 pulls and then the chakram in 30 pulls from limited banner. Gacha there has been kind enough to me but the grind it takes to get gacha currency.... And the game itself is fine, but it's rather repetitive and the story is kind of boring.

diluc main. i’m probably not taking this prompt seriously but i really do feel like artem would be a diluc main ! he probably rolled on the standard banner like three times and his pity got fucking terrified of him so they just . pushed diluc over to him on the fourth wish ( the thought of it is too funny but shh ).

he probably has never lost the 5O/5O, not even once. just like i said, mihoyo got too intimidated by him so they just flipped the switch whenever he wanted it to.

his main party would probably consist of diluc, keqing, ningguang, and zhongli. he also has venti but ( as painful as it is to say, ) he thinks that he gives him a headache at most times, so he keeps him benched.

surprisingly a f2p. he has all the money he could ever want as a senior attorney, yet he chooses to play as a f2p because he’d like to experience the trials and tribulations of having to grind endlessly for his characters.

highest dmg he ever dealt was probably 4k in the spiral abyss. he probably almost never levels up the artifacts his characters have.

overall, 9/1O would definitely want to steal artem’s account. hand it over.

lisa main. he knows the best artifacts for her, has her ideal weapon maxed out, he basically has the most perfect build ever. the crit rolls are in his favour.

vyn’s main party most likely would consist of lisa, aether, fischl and xingqiu. he insists that he uses xingqiu a lot but he’s just there as a battery </3.

secretly cried a little when he lost the 5O/5O to kazuha. he got jean instead, but he is reluctant of using her because of how much painful thoughts of unluckiness it brings vyn whenever she appears in his party.

highest dmg dealt was a whole 7Ok when he fought the cryo regisvine. ( well damn vyn hand over your build rn )

f2p. vyn doesn’t see a valid reason as to why he should spend money on a game such as genshin impact. he claims it was purely a ‘small activity’ of his, not something he plans on taking further ( though he spent at least half an entire day building lisa …… ??? )

out of all four of them, i think luke’s the most relatable to most of us. 💀💀 cause he isn’t all that rich and yeah … overall the bennett of the group ( i am so sorry luke )

OKAY BUT BARBARA MAIN LUKE PEARCE. i feel like he’d be the type to main someone who is bubbly and kind, and you guess it, i’m placing my bet on our favourite deaconess to be his main dps in the game ( if you disagree with me you’re WRONG /lh )

his main party would consist of barbara, bennett, razor and xiao. xiao’s probably his only 5 star as of the moment so of course like would include him in the team.

always the first one to die whenever he fights domains or bosses in coop. he barely carries the group but hey, at least he’s there for the healing.

actually has a decent build ! sure, some of them are four star artifacts and not all of them have been fully leveled up, but he has the right stats and all that needed. so his highest dmg dealt to an enemy is probably 12k, and he struggles to get past that achievement.

light spender, only because he’s used his entire wallet on genshin so he has nothing else to spend. the most he bought from the game was probably two months of welkin but that’s kinda it.

overall i want his account like 7.5/1O because he has xiao and buff barbara yes

Immediate Kaeya main. He sees him in the prologue, simps for him, fights with him, dies with him.

He doesn’t even play the game properly. He only plays for Kaeya.

Loads it up in the morning going “Hey handsome.” Certified Kaeya Kinnie.

Bonus: His fans were the ones who pestered him into playing, so a week later when he posts a Kaeya cosplay on twitter? Everyone goes WILD.

Yoosung

Horrible Gacha luck but he’s addicted. What can I say? In terms of money…there is no money. Officially broke, slave to wishing </3. Respectable following on twitch, but gets so much SHIT from his viewers bc he is so funny to tease LOL.

Goldfish, casual spender. Her main source of stress relief after a long day of work. She puts on a Zen musical and vibes as she casually 36 stars abyss with her level 90 Ganyu and Jean.

Anonymous in Yoosung’s streams but out of responsibility she comes on to give him a few tips on building characters and stuff. Unspoken legend in Superman Yoosung’s streams- so good at making team comps that work.

Doesn’t play too much- maybe like 1 hour a day and sometimes skips dailies because of work T_T.

Favourite characters are Jean Ganyu and Chongyun! She admires how hard working they are, and seeing them in her party never fails to brighten her day </3.

Jumin

Crying is he even playing the same game as the rest of us? This isn’t even Genshin anymore straight up- this is the sims.

His AR 25 account is so confusing because somehow he barely did any of the main storyline quests, but here he is in Inazuma casually collecting wood for new furnishings??

100% Zhongli main. Whaled for his c6 but doesn’t know what it does. All he knows is that rock from sky go boom boom and destroy enemies.

Eula and Ningguang appreciator! Uses them to lecture Yoosung and how they rose to power despite their backgrounds.

But at the end of the day, he’s only here for the teapot. And say what you will but…that shit AESTHETIC.

Basically Tony to. Uploads random videos of his solo amber and solo barbara 36 starring Abyss.

Yoosung shit talks him on stream because of how lucky seven is with his pulls, but still only uses amber and Barbara.

Has all the achievements, maxxed EVERYTHING.

Probably a bit soft for Childe though. Projects onto him a lot. Cried in the Teucer quest. Wants Childe to be happy so gets a Zhongli for him (even though he doesn’t use Zhongli). Builds a house for them <3.

Though his main DPS’s are Barb and Amber, his go to supports are Xingqiu and Childe (gets hate comments for using Childe as a support LOL).

Absolutely adores Xingqiu for being a prim and proper young man on the outside, but an absolute MENACE on the inside. Enjoys the Xingyun dynamic he and Jaehee share </3

Unknown

Manical screaming. Meta player. 5 million damage Hu Tao. Hates 4 star DPS’s with a burning passion (especially Amber ♡).

Angry keyboard sounds. Sticks to conventional teams and artifacts. Maybe a streamer using voice distorter/vtuber model LOL. Rants about new players playing the game wrong by crafting Whiteblind for Razor.

Angry Xiao main. Has him c6 with an r5 primod spear. Maxxed talents. SPAMS the poor guy’s burst for every little thing. Small hillichurl? Well it’s time for evIL coNquERiNg.

Scary villain laughter as he plunges through Teyvat one shotting everything. Doesn’t believe in healers bc they’re ‘for the weak’ so he dies a lot. But never shows it on camera.

But then there Albedo was. In the first 10 pull. And V has never felt such a strong connection to a fictional character ever before.

ALBEDO.

Started because Seven forcefully installed it on his phone during the Albedo banner in december. Clicked wish randomly and was like “oh boy what does this do” blind hours.

Very nice character owner🥺. Reads all the lore, plays every single character he attains because he doesn’t want them to 'be lonely’. However, Albedo never leaves his number one spot. And then klee in number two because V will do ANYTHING to ensure Albedo’s happiness. But he’ll laugh shyly if anyone asks him about it.

Visits dragonspine and just leaves Albedo AFK in his lab to enjoy the music. Smiles when Albedo sketches during his idle, prompts him to get out a sketch book as well.

Collects flowers, lets anyone into his world. Super wholesome🥺.

Rika

Has never felt more at home in Inazuma. Mondstad was overly cheerful and stifling to her; Liyue overly pragmatic.

Empathises with every Liyue NPC. Loves to enjoy the music and walk around, trying to help anyone and everyone.

Feels a very close connection to Baal</3. Preparing to roll for her. Currently an Ayaka main (appreciates Ayaka very much. Was a little teary when she learned that her parents died).

One side of her kins baal and the other kins Ayaka. Kazuha is her sub DPS, she enjoys bringing him along everywhere.

Understands the feeling of being banished from a place. Kazuha reminds Rika of a little brother she wants to protect, and someone she had to leave behind </3.

Background

Most ingredients in alchemy usually come from ores and liquid ingredients formed by chemistry methods. Stuff like Tuttia, Bismuth, all that shindigs-

So while plant life can be useful for alchemy, not everyone recognizes its utility straight away, and provide for the common plants for arrangements rather than scientific inventory

I can imagine that you'd be a normal gardener at first but very passionate of their properties.

Might be a Dendro vision wielder too, the Dendro archon loves those who wield the power of knowledge, more so when they use it on nature.

You carry with you a lil book about all the plants and shrubs that you've personally cared for, down to their finest detail and properties. But you're a gardener, not a master of Alchemy, so some parts of the notes you couldn't really figure out yourself.

The first time you met Albedo, he was around a year into staying in Mondstadt. He was forced to go out and take a breather because of his workaholic schedule, and instead of relaxing in a bath, he ended up drifting to the market area to get more ingredients local to Mond.

Unlike the other flower stalls, he was pulled into yours because of the wide variety of your wares. Roots, grasses, shoots, plants you couldn't just find outside of the walls.

You were tending to your mini greenhouse in the back and left your botania book on the shelf outside, and this LIL SHI- Albedo, having no proper training for social interactions, straight up just opened that shit and read it all.

"Oh, hello there, mister- HEY, THAT'S MY STUFF, WHAT THE HECK"

Flustered, confused and alarmed, Albedo tried his best to quickly reason with your garden-spade-wielding self. And with his pretty boy self, you managed to calm down and listen.

You may or may not had smacked him with a bouquet of horsetail for good measure.

"Such vast knowledge and detail orientation, why waste away your talents in selling productive fauna when you can wield them into something more?"

Working with Albedo!

Your greenhouse in the Knight of Favonius HQ is most definitely connected to Albedo's laboratory! And very spacious too.

More than one occasion, you've seen the Chief Alchemist casually sneaking around the area, plucking a Flaming Flower or scraping dandelion seeds from the pot while you were busy tending to other flowers on the other side of your area.

65% of the time you caught him red-handed and you will be met with the rare sight of a fumbling, queasy Albedo.

30% of the time you just find out something is missing after checking inventory for the day, usually ends up with you hunting and shouting for Albedo. Because the guy seem to have a sixth sense as to when you find out his thieving adventures.

5% of all of that, Kaeya would be the one stealing from your 'safer' floras to woo a random citizen in Mond. And as a master of botany, your precious babies are always in tip top shape. Top quality bouquets all day, all night.

Those moments are the ones Albedo hate more than getting smacked with your spade. Those are your flowers, and by association, his. Grown to their maximum potential by your calloused yet gentle hands FOR HIM-

Kaeya: *reaching out to pluck a perfectly healthy glaze lily*; Albedo: *his short ass of a shadow looming over him*

NOW IT IS HIM WHO WIELDS THE POWER OF THE GARDEN SPADE

The atmosphere of your work area is significantly different from his own messy laboratory. The glass walls and roof that lets in just the right amount of sunlight, with a perfect view of the scenic landscape of Mondstadt and beyond.

When Albedo reaches a wall on his research, he picks up his sketchbook and just- waltz in to your workshop through the door connecting your workspaces.

The fresh air, the soft kiss of the sun, your humming, it was all a symphony of heaven concocted just for him.

He’ll find himself sketching your babies, dozen or more times you are included.

Your notebook’s illustrations are mostly courtesy of him, and he greatly basks in your pure admiration of his drawing.

To help him focus, you once took on the great task of organizing his laboratory, to no avail. Even if you manage to fix and align his inventory, it’s gonna go back to chaos after three days minimum.

It’s okay tho, it’s normal for him, more excuse to visit you-

Guilty, he wants your spacious and refreshing greenhouse and often asks for a redesign of his laboratory to share similar workspace with you.

Acting Grand Master Jean had to decline this idea just because it costs more than a million mora.

He’s definitely gonna sulk in your greenhouse after that, back leaning on the warm glass wall as he does nothing but sketch you and your plants the whole day.

Whenever Albedo discovers/explores a new area, you’re always sure to tag along whether willingly or by force

I imagine that despite being his assistant/student, Sucrose and Timaeus are more focused on research and the application of Alchemy, so they’re not much of the resource gathering type. That said, Albedo is very thankful of your existence, it’s a breather to his already full schedule.

Albedo is both considerate and inconsiderate unconsciously : While he may run off to experiment on the traveler and leave you scouting the area yourself, he doesn’t willingly set you on fire from the inside.

Every time he comes back to camp after finishing the step by step experiment with/on the Traveler, he makes sure to check up on how you are doing.

TAKE NOTE: Our prince is very occupied and busy with his own work a lot, so he’s never really seen you in action when you go out to get the the materials he needs-

So he is purely horrified when he saw you hanging off the cliff with nothing but a rope around you to keep you safe, carefully investigating a petrified tree branch up close.

Suddenly, elevator.

Again, Imma bet, he’s gonna be accompanying you in all your expeditions after that. He’ll need to know where and how you acquire every ingredient outside of your greenhouse.

Does it require you to climb a mountain? Are there any Hilichurl camps nearby? Maybe mobs that are attracted to that type of flower?

He would be very attentive of your inventory reports and would recognize if a dangerous gathering journey is near. He’ll be right there with you.

Violetgrass x1000

He’s gathering more than a month’s worth just to make sure you don’t go back to make that dangerous trip. It’s very impractical, but let him rest his heart.

Flower crowns are good and all but have you heard of flower bracelets?

Something angst-y: Albedo has yet to make a Dendro affinity potion and he’s really, really devastated about it and himself. You’ll have to forcibly pull him out of his self-deprecation, force him to get a breather.

Overall, Albedo greatly appreciates not only your utility but also your consistent company. He values your tenacity and comfort, sharing unadulterated curiousity as you both venture the great unknown. There’s a lot of stuff he can pray about to thank whichever archon has graced you. And despite his Vision lacking the function to actually help in the advancement of his research, he is now thankful for it, for he has found with it a greater purpose: Ensuring the safety of his precious Gardenia.

I FOUND IT! I finally found it😭😭 I really thought I lost this and was a little upset, but I found it. Ok, so I took pointers from the last one and the ending isn’t as angsty as I want. I hope I don’t disappoint with it though! It also turned out to be much longer than I expected. Wanna guess how long before I start hating this banner too? Pointless

You and Diluc had a beautiful and healthy relationship. You two had been together for about three and a half years. You had met while you were still a novice adventurer. You were extremely shy and reserved, but he found it adorable. He found himself so attached, he was unable to think of anything but you when you weren’t around him.

He often found himself seeking you out, needing the attention and happiness you brought him. Within a few months, Diluc knew what was happening. He was in love. He was so madly in love he couldn’t help it. He found himself getting jealous, wanting to keep your attention on him and only him. Finally, he pushed himself to confess. To his pleasant surprise, you agreed, claiming you liked him as well.

Ever since then, your life was amazing. It was filled with joy every single day. You often woke up, feeling brighter than ever, knowing your life was blessed. You knew Diluc was the man you wanted to spend the rest of your life with.

Knew.

Then she came along. Lumine. The beautiful blonde girl, one who wasn’t from this world. She was able to wield anemo and geo powers without needing a vision. She helped Diluc, Venti, and Jean with the Dvalin issue. Diluc promised you that after he was done with that problem, he’d be back with you. But he never did.

After Dvalin, Lumine said she needed help with her adventuring and he went with her. Now, normally you wouldn’t mind it. Lumine had learned about Diluc’s side job- the Darknight Hero- and she needed help. But Diluc never came to your adventures with you. Not to mention, he didn’t tell you about his Darknight Hero job until you found out two years in. It hurt that you felt as if Lumine was getting different treatment.

You would often go to the manor to find out that Diluc had already left with Lumine on some stupid escapade. Finally, you’d hit a wall. What were you supposed to do? Break up with him and then do what? Watch as he continued to live life with Lumine? Were you supposed to smile and wave every time you saw him? Were you supposed to pretend you weren’t shattered that Diluc actually found a woman of his caliber?

Your mind was plagued with thoughts like that, so much so, that you would get distracted. Of course, you hadn’t realized how dangerous that was… until you were here.

You screamed as a mitachurl shield bashed you, causing you to fly back and roll on the ground.

“Oh, I hate my life.” You groaned, pushing yourself to stand. The world was spinning and your vision was blurred. The pain shot through your body and you prepared to die. Maybe Diluc would regret something if that happened. As the strength drained from your body and you prepared to surrender, you felt arms surround you. Your body was enveloped in warmth as you were quickly moved away.

Unable to tell what was happening, you went along with it as you felt your back touch a tree. You slid down as the dark figure moved away. You touched your aching head and noted they returned in a few minutes.

“D-Diluc?” They crouched down in front of you and took your head into their hands.

“Diluc? I don’t know who that is.” They said. Finally, your vision cleared up and you gazed into beautiful, golden eyes. “Are you ok?” He had green hair, beautiful eyes, and a purple diamond on his forehead.

“I uh… y-yeah…” You mumbled, feeling your cheeks flushing a deep red.

“You’re red. Are you sure?” You nodded, pushing him away and standing up. However, you stood up too quickly and felt the world spin. But before you could fall, the man had caught you again. “Careful!”

“I… I’m sorry.” You mumbled, before relaxing into his arms. Shy or not, you don’t know how badly you’d been hurt.

“Just… stay still.” He mumbled, picking you up with ease. You let your head rest on his chest, closing your eyes for a minute. In your time of need, your boyfriend didn’t save you… why? Because he chose to be out with another girl. Yet this random man, he was here for you. He did save you.

“Will you be ok?” The man asked as you walked out of the healing house. You nodded to him.

“Yes. Thank you so much for bringing me here. I really appreciate it. I-I’m (f/n).”

“I know… I’m Xiao.”

“Xiao… it’s nice to meet you.” You beamed, holding your hand out. He stared at it for a minute before taking it in his and giving it a gentle shake.

Ever since that day, you’d felt less hopeless. You hadn’t been as worried about Diluc because you had Xiao. Xiao had mentioned he’d seen you plenty of times while you were adventuring. He mentioned he thought you were strong, but didn’t understand what had gone wrong the day he met you. You chose to lie and say it was because you were tired but needed the commission money. He called you careless for taking on a job you were too tired to handle. He also added that he’d been joining you every now and then to make sure you stayed in one piece.

However, as the days went on, Xiao accompanied you on more and more adventures. You’d started to forget about Diluc and felt less and less burdened by him choosing a new girl. In fact, it had been weeks since you’d seen him. You two still met up every now and then for some pathetic date, but even that stopped.

You opted to spend time with Xiao, someone who could help you forget your worries. You’d almost completely forgotten Diluc… until you saw him.

You and Xiao were in Liyue looking at some wares, when you saw bright red hair in the distance. Your heart stopped and you felt the anxiety start to build up. But the thing that hurt the most… was that Lumine was with him. You had no idea what to do. Well… there was one thing. You moved yourself directly in front of Xiao, whose back was facing Diluc and Lumine.

“Hm? What’s wrong?” You looked up at him with glossy eyes.

“I’m… sorry but c-can we s-stay like this? Fo-for a minute?” Xiao was hesitant, but nodded.

“Yeah, sure.” You let your gaze fall on his chest, but all you could think about was Diluc and Lumine. He… really did love her. It hurt, even now, it hurt so bad. It tore your heart to shreds.

As Diluc and Lumine started to walk away, you moved Xiao so that he could hide your figure. It didn’t take a genius to figure out you were hiding from someone.

“So, that’s Diluc. Nothing special.”

“What?”

“That’s him. The man you’re with, correct?” You immediately shook your head, but Xiao looked at you, silencing any protests. “I know. I saw you two together. About three years ago. You two were happy. I’m assuming that’s his new woman.”

“You...knew?”

“I knew of you two three years ago. I didn’t know anything about him. I figured he must’ve been Diluc when you called out to him six months ago.” The day he saved you. “Tell me.”

You broke. Xiao took you to a secluded spot where you told him everything. You couldn’t tell, but Xiao was furious. He hated how you’d been treated. Someone like you deserved the world, all the love the world could offer, yet… here you were crying about some idiot who couldn’t even treat you right.

“Maybe there’s something wrong with me.” You said, tears sliding down your cheeks. “She’s better. Lumine is stronger, she’s beautiful, she’s talented, she doesn’t even need a vision, she’s… better in every single way.” Xiao took your face, lifting your head to meet his eyes gently.

“I don’t think so.”

“But h-he wants her. N-not me…” His thumbs brushed away your tears.

“So?”

“Wh-what do you mean so? I love him and I-”

“Don’t need him.” You looked up at his gorgeous gold eyes.

“What?”

“You don’t need him. You want him. You want him back and for him to love you, but you don’t need him. You’ve stopped needing him since we met. Admit it.” He was right. With Xiao, you’d almost completely forgotten Diluc. Almost as if you’d moved on already.

“But…”

“It’s ok. It’s ok to move on so quickly. It’s ok to no longer want to spend your life with someone. It’s ok to let go.”

“Xiao…” You hadn’t even noticed his lips getting closer and closer until they were almost touching yours. But, Xiao pulled away and let go of you.

“You don’t need him.” Xiao stood up and patted your head, before walking away. You watched his figure disappear before leaning against the wall behind you. Maybe… he was right.

After a few minutes of contemplating, you stood up, feeling a great weight lifted off your chest. Yeah, you didn’t need Diluc anymore. Might as well officially break up with him.

You took a few deep breaths before scouting out Diluc. It wasn’t too hard, he stood out quite a bit.

“Diluc.” He turned around and his vermillion eyes widened.

“(f-f/n). Hi.”

“Hey, can we talk in private?” He nodded as Lumine left and you pulled him aside. For some reason, you felt no fear or anxiety. Just… peace. “I think we should break up.”

“Wh-what?”

“Don’t need you.” Diluc stared at you with wide eyes as you recalled Xiao’s words. It felt so good to say it out loud.

“I don’t need you. You don’t want me. So why are we wasting our time like this?”

“Please don’t do this.”

“Why? What do you want from me? We haven’t even seen each other in over a month. There’s no point in trying to revive this relationship. There’s nothing left of it and to be frank… I don’t want it.” You gave him a hug, one he was barely able to reciprocate before you pulled away. However, he grabbed your hand.

“Please (f/n).”

“No. You want Lumine. Have her.” You shook his hand off and smiled brightly before leaving. You felt tears well up in your eyes again but it was ok. You knew it was ok, even as they slid down your cheeks.

Xiao smiled to himself as he leaned against the roof. He closed his eyes, engraving his mind with your figure. The way your hair flowed behind you, the way the sun shone down on your figure, the way you confidently smiled and walked away, it was all so beautiful and perfect.

"80," you whined as you kicked open the door to kenma's room. it was midnight and you had still yet to sleep as you consumed cult-like rituals. you didn't believe in sacrifices, but if you had to throw your diluc of the highest mountain in liyue...so be it.

you wanted.... no. you needed xiao. you had saved up so many primogems, even as ayaka's banner came and went. and it took every single bit of self-control to not pull on yoimiya's banner, especially with the arrival of the cute claymore wielding chibi, Sayu. but if all this pain meant you could have xiao in your hands...it was worth it.

you had begun wishing late at night, at exactly 11:11. it wasn't a really important time, but you'd take any luck you could get. you would have xiao in your party even if it meant swiping money from your non-existent bank account. but...you should have known from your previous summons that the power of god and anime was not on your side. it was terrifying as you wasted 1600 primogems. your heart stopped as the shooting star streaked across your screen, only to fade into a bland colour of purple. but even if you did get a gold star, you would have to fight genshin's worst enemy of all.

the 50/50.

many have tried fighting this enemy, coming out of the fight with a qiqi or a jean. not that you would mind any of them. you were lacking five stars anyway. but... you just wanted xiao. you loved xiao. you loved his design all the way down to his lore. you had farmed everything for him. his ascension materials, exp books, mora.... you had even suffered months in the viridescent domain and even gotten a couple good pieces.

your eyes sullenly looked at the last 1600 primogems.

your last ten pull.

you gulped, closing your eyes as you pulled one last time. you didn't stay on the screen long enough to see the colour change. you pressed skip and waited, scrolling through the ten objects.

but alas.

no five star.

it hit you like a truck as you went back to the wishing screen only to see the 0 primogems mocking you. you scowled at the banner, at the xiao you would never have.

you groaned as you turned off your laptop, tucking your head in your knees.

you really thought you would get him and it's not like you had any money to spend.

the house was quiet the only sounds were coming from a closed-door a mere feet in front of you.

your eyes sparkled.

surely, kenma wouldn't mind....right?

your roommate was a bit introverted, opting to stay huddled in his cozy room. he rarely came out even for dinner. not that you really complained. it was an awkward situation in the first place. he didn't want a roommate or express that he deesired one, and yet here you were. he never really complained either, even seeming to enjoy your presence sometimes. although you had to admit, it was difficult to have a real conversation with the pudding-haired man. but the few conversations you had with him were pleasant and calming.

you took a deep breath as you made your way to his room. you didn't know how to enter. sure, the knocking was a good idea, as it showed respect. but maybe that would be too formal with someone you had lived almost a year with.

you kicked open the room, ignoring the small screech that came from the lean, slouching figure.

"y/n, hello." his mouth gripped into an odd smile as his eyes darted from his pc screen to you, clad in only a thin shirt and shorts.

"hi, kenma, I have a favour—"

"uh, wait a moment." something like a blush glazed over his cheeks as he looked back to the screen. "no chat, that's not— chat. no."

confusion must have shown all over your face as kenma whirred towards you in his chair.

"i'm streaming," he rubbed his neck awkwardly as if he had just proclaimed something embarrassing.

"oh," you chuckled, stepping from one foot to another, "i'll just leave—"

"no." he stopped you abruptly, almost getting out of his chair, pausing at your firm figure.

"chat," he pointed towards his pc, "wants to uh... meet you?"

you couldn't tell if he was asking for your permission or giving you an order but you chuckled softly before walking towards him. it was hard to not let your blush show was you took him in, sleep-deprived eyes and all. his shirt slightly rode up near his hips, the small slip of lean muscles full-on display. the sweatpants clutched at his waist, loosely covering his legs. his arms were fidgeting, small flexes of his biceps catching your eye. you nervously chuckled as you stood behind his chair, arms hovering over the top of his head.

"wait," kenma rose, skittering over to his bed to get an oversized crimson hoodie, "put this on."

you nodded embarrassingly before slipping on his hoodie, moaning slightly at the warmth that seeped into your arms. he motioned for you to sit on the chair, to which you furiously shook your head.

"no, n-no, I'll uh just...stand," you muttered. kenma rolled his eyes, pushing you towards the chair. it was a side of him you had never seen. though he kept his slightly awkward facade, his eyes glimmered with a slight slyness. it was utterly beautiful. the dark circles under his golden eyes seemed to disappear as he gave a smile to the stream. you blushed at the compliments and comments that rushed in the chat.

it was the last question that caught your eye, your heart beating uncontrollably.

"i- uh, um no, see—"

"chat calm down," he rolled his eyes, but the teasing glint still remained. the smirk that wavering on his mouth grew into a full-blown smile as you groaned into the warm soft texture of the hoodie.

"this is y/n," he smiled towards, "my roommate."

"this is...chat," he motioned to a screen filled with random emojis of cats.

"hi," you murmured as you shyly looked away from the camera.

"hmm," kenma hummed, "what were you here for?"

"oh," it wasn't till then you remembered why you were in his room.

"i wished today," you sadly said, a monotone tone engulfing your still shy voice.

"oh yeah, the xiao banner is today isn't it."

you nodded, looking down at the ground.

"did you get him?"

you silently stared at your hands covered with the long sleeves of the crimson hoodie.

"did you lose the 50/50," he asked, patting your head softly. you felt like a cat, as you leaned into his soft touch.

"i didn't have even have enough wishes to pity," you pouted, "i'm stuck at 80."

"and you came to ask for more?" he couldn't hide the teasing smile that peeked onto his mouth, the corners of his lips turning up into a humour-filled smile.

you only pouted, grumbling about the lack of luck you seemed to have.

"well," he looked towards the stream and the flurries of comments that asked him to get you xiao, "how about this."

he reached over your head, muting himself. his mouth hovered over your ear his warm breath wafting over your neck.

"turn off the camera," he whispered. your fingers trembled as you slowly turned off the camera. he leaned back, his forearm laying on the crown of the chair. you were about to talk, random words popping in your head as you opened your mouth.

you yelped as kenma suddenly whirled the chair around, the loud screeches of the chair echoing in the otherwise silent room.

"hi?" your voice was no louder than a whisper as you looked into the intense gold of kenma's eyes. he loomed over you, loose strands of hair tickled your nose.

"hmm," was all he said as he came closer, one leg right beside yours and the other anchoring himself to the ground. his arms laid right next to your hunched-up shoulders, trapping you. and though at this moment you ought to be frightened, you couldn't help the strange excitement that bubbled in your stomach.

he came closer, lips only a finger width away from your own. you closed your eyes, waiting for the soft impact it seemed you desired.

you only opened your eyes when kenma let out a soft laugh.

"your face," he wheezed slightly. you threw him an incredulous look, a scowl growing on your face. you swore as you threw your hands around his neck, pulling him in for a slight impact.

your lips moulded together, it was nice. softness and the taste of apples lingered on your tongue, on your lips as he slowly moved away.

it was your turn to laugh. a dark red blush had smacked itself on his cheeks, the colour trailing down his neck. he stuttered as he averted his gaze from your slightly swollen lips.

"your face," you mocked, rolling your eyes. "can i get xiao now."

he looked at your face as if he could see the invisible heat that rolled of your skin. you pouted, eyebrows pinched together. kenma moved back, hand covering the blush that continued to burn his skin.

"yes," he muttered as you pushed you towards the computer, motioning for you to log into your account. he refused to answer any of chat's questions as you gleefully logged in. though it was hard to hide that something had happened, especially at the unnatural blush that kenma still bore.

"stop chat," he whined as you chuckled.

you sighed into his touch as he grabbed your shoulder, small circular motions making you melt into his touch.

you may not get xiao, but you did get something slightly better. you smiled at kenma.

"how many primogems?" he asked as he looked at the store.

"oh just enough to make one ten pull." you nonchalantly said as you watched the elegant cursor hover the 980 genesis crystals. you hadn't ever bought primogems as you were a free-to-play player allowing you to double your purchase. a sinister look crept into kenma's gaze as the mouse snapped to the last option.

"kenma," you screeched, "no."

"kenma," he smiled, "yes."

you growled as he went through the transaction. you blanched at the 12960 primogems now in your possession.

that was enough for 80 wishes.

"c1 xiao, chat?" he asked, chuckling at the flurries of excited yes.

you continued to scowl, but when you saw the pure happiness that glowed in his golden eyes...you couldn't help but smile.

Darling, since I can't write that many characters in one go, I thought I should give you something special. I present... 💫 women 💫

Women of BSD as Genshin Impact players

tw: you're in bsd fandom, you know all the tw there are by now

Kyouka Izumi- Assasin in the streets, babysitter in the... Genshin Impact

Kyouka is that cute, stubborn kid that overfixates on things. Atsushi is things. Look, we all know Kyo-chan is mad intelligent and talented and it shows in her game play. Right off the bat she got the sense of the gameplay of every type of character and decided what works best for her. She knows what type of team she's going for and knows how to manage her materials wisely.

When she plays alone, Kyouka works towards bettering her characters and pushing through the storyline. Her favourite way to play the game is with Atsushi, whether alone or in co-op with others. Playing with Jinko is a huge win-win situation for her - she helps him beat up whatever he needs to take down and complete puzzles, he gives her praises and gratitude. And materials, but seldom does she take them.

Her main job, though, is to protect Atsushi and his world from the otherworldly evil known as the suicidal maniac, Dazai Osamu. She's fairly successful.

Main Team: MC, Klee, Keqing, Rosaria

Sub Team: MC, Qiqi, Fischl, Hu Tao

Mains MC, both for her flexibility with elements and because she likes being the little sister to Atsushi's male MC.

Yosano Akiko- retired nurse, now a terrorist

Did you really think she'd stay a healer without having the sadistic satisfaction of hurting people in grotesque ways? Nay. She doesn't have a single healer on team. She either has a teammate who's a healer like Haruno, or she wastes abundance of food until she can teleport to a statue of the seven.

Her game play is on crack, basically. She has several energy spurs, sometimes several times a day, where she rages through the game, before losing interest and going shopping. It's very possible with her that days can pass before she feels like playing again. Then she binges the game for hours and repeat.

When i say she acts like on crack i mean it. She has rage in her veins instead of blood. She tanks her characters and goes out looking for fights with worst possible opponents. Hell, she'll under equip her party just to see how many mofos can she take down in weak state. Spoilers, a fair few. She does die quite a bit, and is almost always out of food, but she's just as stubborn as she's crazy. Those two thing correlate probably. Which is why she made Azdaha her bitch. Her party consists either of strong, hot milfs women like herself, or twinks. You won't see someone like Childe disrespecting her vibe.

Main Team: Beido, Venti, Hu Tao, Rozaria

Sub Team: Lisa, Yanfei, Ningguang, Xingqiu

Beido and Lisa main. Bad bitches only.

Naomi Tanizaki- the fangirl player

She basically collects the cutest characters possible.. That's how she chooses her characters, based on cuteness. She went for the hot ones first to pull her brother but she got jealous and changed her tactic. You know she's spending her money on character skins and certain banners. She's insanely lucky tho?? She got Qiqi on the standard banner as her first 5*, pulled Klee on her banner in little over four 10 pulles and got Diona eventually anyway. Baraba and Xiangling were free and she mained Xiangling untill Klee rolled in. She spent some money on Venti and was already in pity when Ganyu came around. She's fully ready to whale for Kokomi though.

Now i know i said she's incredibly lucky, right? Yeahh that luck has to turn against something to keep the balance and well... she's still crying over Chongyun.

She usually co-ops with her brother, it's a daily ritual. Loves co oping with everyone though, mostly Haruno, Atsushi and Kyouka. She made online friends as well. Actually, there is one person she co ops with almost as much as she does with her brother. IchiGawa is her Genshin bestie and they talk about their crushes and infatuations besides the game itself. Her friend is the only secret she keeps from her brother.

Main Team: Klee, Diona, Venti, Barbara

Sub Team: Razor, Xiangling, Xingqiu, Qiqi

A Klee main.

Haruno Kirako- the healer

Literal angel. You need her, i need her, ADA needs her, the president needs her, just... yes. Her whole team consists of support- healers and crowd control characters. She was a f2p at first, but realised she earns her own money and can spend it however she wishes and she chose the monthly cards.

She's a necessity, point blank. She can get intimidated by new foe at first, but when backed up by her friends, she becomes determined and flexible. Pays good attention to her teammates, most importantly, their health bars, and acts accordingly.

The only reason most of them made it as far as they have, being as reckless as they are.

Main Team: Albedo, Barbara, Jean, Venti

Sub Team: Qiqi, Noel, Jean, Xinyan

Mains Albedo and Barbara

Fan fact: She's very fascinated infatuated with Albedo!! He's even her home screen and has posters and key chain of him.

Gin Akutagawa- that cottagecore assassin

You may be wondering what that could even mean. Let me tell you, she brought Animal Crossing to Genshin Impact. Sure she takes care of her characters and they're pretty powerful, but she kicks ass in real life as well. The game is her little getaway, especially since Serenity pot has been introduced. She's been making away her home for her and her brother characters. You can see her chop wood, collect materials, taking pictures with her friends and her brother, sometimes of pretty scenery and cute moments. A very wholesome player.

She's the type to help her friends explore their world and help them find oculi, open chests, shrines, collect flowers, mine... She's very patient, but if she sees her co-op teammates struggle with something, she'll jump in to help do it herself untill told to back off. In which case she will listen and silently give her support, usually with the cheering stickers in the chat.

She's f2p! Sure, she could get the monthly card at least, as Ryunosuke told her, but she really wants to enjoy the game on her own terms and have what she does through her own effort and hard work. It just feels satisfying to her and more personal.

Main Team: Jean, Ayaka, Diluc, Barbara

Sub Team: Doesn't have one! She just changes characters if certain elements are needed.

Jean main!! She admirers the relationship her and Barbara have. While she's the younger of the two, she's taken the mantle of the older sibling, in a way, and is looking after her reckless as heck brother and cares for him like Jean does for Barbara. Jean is also a wonderful person in her eyes and Gin harbours great respect for the blonde.

Higuchi Ichiyo- IchiGawa 🤡

I love Higuchi so much, but my girl is a mess and a half. Help her, please. No, really, she needs help. She's been over compensating for not being dramatic and eye catching in the battlefield, and has now found a new way to prove herself to her Akutagawa-san. Problem is, as soon as she sees a potentially powerful character, she has to get them and boost them to the havens... yeahh, good thing you can't do loans in the game, otherwise she'd have sharks on her ass for having a bill as dramatic and eye catching as Tsunade's from Naruto. Our girl out there turning heads for wrong reasons. She's definitely spent her pay checks on the game "oh no no, i just buy the monthly subscription, ehe" ehe my ass, you bankrupt bitch. Baal is coming and she's looking to sell a kidney. No, it's not her own and no, it doesn't have anything to do with the game. It's a mission, for God's sake.

But hey, the game is a good investment for her! She even made a friend, one that totally understands her how she feels!! They're very alike as well, ready to do anything for the person they love. The two talk about love a lot and have bonded over it. Higuchi is actually a jealous and a protective type of person, so she hides her friend from Gin and Tachihara like snake hides it's legs. If only they knew 🤡. But it's better this way as they both have a certain sense of normalcy and familiarity they were missing in their daily lives. (Higuchi and Naomi meeting scenario when?)

Main Team: Xiao, Fischl, Xingqiu, Diluc

Sub Team: Baal (soon?), Venti, Ganyu, Zhongli

She mains Xiao because he reminds her of Akutagawa-san and yes, she uses characters from her sub team when playing with others.

Fan Fact: when she was asked why her username is IchiGawa, she said she's like a river 🤡 No, it does absolutely not stand for Ichiyo Akutagawa.

Ozaki Kouyo- the husbando and loli collector

Don't get the wrong idea when i said loli collector. She just needs to adopt them and look after them. She also enjoys watching her precious babies kick ass like her Kyouka. But that's a two way sword, because she gets angry when they die. Savage.

And yeahh, the real reason she's playing the game... Mr Zhongli. She switches often between eng and jpn audios because she can't decide which sounds sexier. Also, Mr Diluc? Yes, she would like to be served one sex on the beach please and thank you! Ah, Mr Kaeya, a perfect window of opportunity, yes.

She has a huge spot for the teenager group as well. Razor, Bennett, Fishl, Xiangling, Xingqiu and Chongyun are also her kids. She just finds them very precious (don't we all?).

Main Team: Zhongli, Kaeya, Bennett, Diluc

Sub Team: Diona, Klee, Qiqi, Sayu

Elise- the evil lackadaisical player

Mori found out about the game from Higuchi and Tachihara and introduced it to Elise, telling her she should make a team of sweet little girls like herself and have fun going on adventures around Teyvat. In response, Elise made a team that, not only does it not have a single child in it, but is using it to gaslight and bully Rintarou.

"Why aren't you smart and inventive like Albedo?"

"Why aren't you as passionate and persistent as Sucrose?"

"Look how capable, loved and admired Ningguang is. You could never."

"I wish i had someone as strong, caring, handsome and rich like Childe looking after me. He would treat me like a real princess. "

Mori has been crying rivers ever since.

Thing is, Elise isn't even that interest in the story. Actually, she couldn't care less. Some characters are interesting to her and she likes the graphics, but other than that, she's mostly playing the game to torture the greasy doctor (as she should).

Sub Team: doesn't have one

Doesn't have a main either, she plays whoever she feels like playing.

yeah!!! my hs is like... one of the best advanced programs in the nation, i'm pretty sure? like we partner with 4 community colleges and you can graduate with associates if you get enough credits (i'll be like 12 short)

i woke up at 6 am since elementary school-10th grade but now??? gl getting me up before noon consistently LMAO
