hmmmmmm i have mixed feelings about the coloring on this one. i wasn’t sure how to combine the cheery bright pink-ness of the cafe with the darkness of bowser’s castle. but the more i worked on it the more ok i felt about it i guess? the black text boxes helped with the overall mood i think. figuring out this comic stuff one baby step at a time 😌

still gonna try my best to work on this as quickly as i can. coloring these pages is actually a nice stress-relief for me once i come home from work haha

ok sorry but im gonna say it you have got to stop drawing ray toro with small lips and a small nose. he does not look like that. you cant draw conventionally attractive eurocentric featured guy with some curly hair (which is not his whole identity btw 😭??) and be like its ray toro :) no it is not. that is not my guy. especially when its the whole band and you draw them perfectly as they are and ray toro is just Some Guy who happens to have curly hair. look at a reference photo. learn how to draw ethnic features. its not hard when you already know how to draw. if you cant draw him unless hes a certain type/level of attractive then well. i have news for you

is it me or does luffy's smile feel.. different in gear 5th? there's something about it where i feel like i'd be able to tell the two smiles apart from each other. maybe it's bc they draw the individual teeth but no gums for G5 and luffy's always had the "two bars and visible gums" in his more memorable grins. something something "smile motif/luffy laughs differently in gear 5th/zoans have wills of their own" idk. do i sound insane or am i onto something
