It really annoys me when people try to romanticize the "I'll save you from the pirates" scene. It is kind of weird that the animators went through the process of doing all that and I laugh every time at Zuko's cheesy ass line (who doesn't) but it's also a bit like... slow your roll there. I think for me the appeal of zutara is that unlike a lot of enemies to lovers out there, there is no "I can fix him" stage for them. no, they're on opposite sides of a war and there's none of that yucky, unhealthy romance stuff that seems too popular in the mainstream today. I will, however, never get over the fact that he basically proposed to her in her grandmother's culture and will continue to enjoy the idea of them both getting embarrassed by this once he joins the gaang. This has been my longer-than-intended PSA

best part of being a femme trans man is that many of my childhood "girl" interests are recontextualized in retrospect. like, there's the classic trans struggle of "oh but I enjoyed some aspects of my assigned gender growing up, what does that mean for me? did I really enjoy them? am I really trans?" etc, and obv everyone with these thoughts needs to work through these emotions and find the "answer" that works for their life, and makes them feel best, and grieve their chid self if they need to. but I've got, like, the cheat code. you know? like what, I mained princess peach in mario kart growing up? yeah, that wasn't because "I was a girl" lol. it was cause I was a flaming effeminate 12 year old queen with a budding interest in drag and I got away with it too. and I'd do it again. then repeat for every other instance of me being a child femme, easy.

I wonder why Watcher doesn't do pod highlights on tiktok. That's like 101 on podcast promo. Post the most out of context dialogue points and have people in the comments clamouring for context by way of a quick link to a full episode.
Personally, I'd post Steven's deadpan "I don't think it's good. I think it's bad," declaration wrt mugs.
Don't they want people listening? Anyway I assume it's because Ryan is worried that Charles Melton will tune in and listen to 20 min of semi reluctant fan-boying.

I do think there's a difference between "advice you've heard a million times and are sick of hearing" that's presented on a tumblr post that just happens to cross your dash, and like. someone directly commenting/messaging you to give you said advice.
like for example, if i see a post on my dash that says something like "anyone can draw! you just need to practice! here's some tips on how to make drawing a habit so you can do it more often!" then like. i can be pretty sure they didn't have me with my particular chronic pain in mind. they're thinking about the people that think they can't draw because they don't have 'innate talent' and are trying to help them. they're not talking to me, their post just happened across my dash. i can keep scrolling and it's no skin off my back, or maybe reblog it for people who actually will be helped by that advice.
meanwhile, if i make a personal post on my blog about how i can't draw and i have no plans on improving, and someone comes into my comments or messages and says "anyone can draw! you just need to practice more!" /then/ it's like seriously? come on. because that person's coming into my space intentionally, while random tumblr posts end up on your dash by chance, you know? one the author probably doesn't know you exist, and the other that person kind of came into your house to talk to you.
but i see a lot of people treating these two things like they're exactly the same and its like. huh. i get being frustrated about hearing the same advice over and over, but sometimes people just. aren't talking to you. and that's okay.

Imagine Kim searching his apartment for more polaroids, desperately searching for any more traces of his beloved Porchay that he might’ve missed…
Only to find nothing. And deep down, behind all the careful walls and barriers he’s built up over the years; his soul quietly weeps for what he’s lost.

Takasugi always feels like a character who's going to die. And one of the reasons for that is that Sorachi never makes him the butt of the joke except with the Joui 4 and even then the jokes aren't that bad (him liking yakult is the mildest food obsession in this series).
Comedy is the way of life in Gintama, literally. To participate in its comedy gags is a sign that the characters are participating in life, that they are living. The fact that Takasugi never gets to do that except with people from his past is an indicator of him being stuck in the past. Even to the very end, when he comes back to Edo with Gintoki, Sorachi doesn’t entangle him in the comedic shenanigans Gintoki suffers through with the other characters of Edo. There is no sign given of Takasugi being able to live amongst them in the future.

small detail I picked up on a while ago but I just remembered
in the pilot guillermo hates twilight and sometime between that and gail he at least gets to the point he can willingly watch it
Tumblr media
like this isn't the face of someone who likes twilight but here he is watching it
Tumblr media
side note: I like that it's on the baseball scene lol
now the way I see it there's like 3 possibilities (if we ignore the fact that this is the pilot we're talking about it's borderline not canon to the rest of the show)
1 since by the time the pilot happened and nandor got back with gail like two years have passed and opinions can change so within two years he's grown to at least kinda like it
I mean it's also funny to think that maybe he just kinda grew to like it only cause nandor made him sit through that film a millionth times
2 he actually does like twilight he just thinks the idea is stupid
but those theories are BORING so let's go to my last theory and the one I believe for reasons™
3 his opinions between the pilot and this episode haven't changed he's only watching it cause nandor likes it
ok let me explain
he clearly misses nandor since he's been spending all of his time
so when he comes up with the normal and totally sane idea to cuddle up with the corpse nandor used to sneak out he decided to watch twilight with it cause hey that's something nandor really enjoys I'm sure corpsdor would hahaha this is fine :)
he can watch something that reminds him of nandor and he has an excuse if someone sees him
also if normal nandor doesn't get close to guillermo unless they're watching a movie so why would fake corpse nandor would?

Does anyone else think about the fact that the calming affect the green plaid Nicholas wears might have been a subconscious rebellion against Curtain as a whole because to Nicholas it represents everything his brother is not?
Green plaid is chaotic, disorganized, and not seen in a positive light all the time.
Curtain strives for order, perfection, and wants to be seen as perfect in the eyes of every beholder.
It seems to me that the plaid is calming to Nicholas because it represents who he is as an individual, instead of a cut out copy of his brother.

Wondering if my followers/moots associate a certain type of edit with me. I definitely associate a certain type of edit with all my moots.

Testament: I am non-binary. I use they/them pronouns now.
Me: *runs my tongue along the underside of the entire length of their penis, circling the head and bringing it into my mouth, drawing in as much pre-cum as possible and swallowing it, before exhaling contentedly, as if I had just drank a crisp, refreshing Cherry Pepsi™️*
Me: So you hear that? That means I’m not gay, Dad!

Oh how nice it would be to lay down in a field, looking up at the clouds and surrounded by nature. Laying there with my partner who I love so much, who in return loves me too. The wind makes the grass sway along with the branches in the trees. It creates a synchronous masterpiece that blends with the clouds that float by and the sun that shines just right.
We go home to our house not too far away to do a little baking and painting, something nice for the weekend as a change of pace from our typically busy weeks. Our fusion of passions and hobbies strengthen the trust and love between us.
At night, our cats snuggle up to us as the crickets sing outside in a simple tune that acts as peaceful background music. It's quiet, but not silent, and we just enjoy. Enjoy the peace together and love the beautiful life we have made together.

Maybe Im just older now and my tastes have changed or maybe the passage of time will inevitably errode previously great platforms into ghosts of their former glory but I swear everytime I open YouTube I'm confronted with the dead husk of my childhood filled with the same derivative soulless content over and over.

There is no other feeling comparable to missing a person you were once close with… feeling the distance and the animosity grow while the silence takes their place… makes me wish I could go back a few months ago just to feel the love again.
