Blue Team [Kelly-087 + Linda-058] relationship headcanons

I'm telling you, these two just have me kicking my feet anytime they're mentioned.

Master Chief | John-117 + Fred-104

Kelly will be your partner in crime through anything and everything. Where Linda is the one who will tag along to keep you safe, Kelly will ask no questions whether it's to cause trouble or get into stuff neither of you should be doing.  She will say yes even before you finish your sentence.

That doesn't stop Linda from coming along, she will drop anything she's doing if she hears Kelly's already on board. She knows the single brain cell that's shared between the two. Also, you think you're starting a prank war without inviting Linda? Think again.

The first time you introduced Kelly to hugs, she was kinda confused like 'wtf do I do?', her fight or flight instances kicked in and she almost went for fight, but covered it up by mirroring your actions like she wasn't just about to knock you out. Linda knows, she watched the panic on Kelly's face.

Kelly likes to be the big spoon, and she will fight for the spot, however, she has her days where she likes to be held by you. Cuddling took a few sessions for her to see the benefit and now if she needs to sleep, Kelly wants her partner with her.

Also, I think she is someone who enjoys getting her hair played with or brushed, hell she'll even let you style it. I mean, she threw hands as a six-year-old for her hair, so it's important to her. Kelly likes the feeling of your fingers running through her hair and if you scratch her scalp with your nails, she's gone.

You bet your ass that Kelly has a shared playlist with you and it will be the main thing she listens to on missions. She has set her hub to notify her anytime you add something to the playlist.

She's stopped talking mid-sentence with officers the moment she sees that tab light up on her hub. No one calls her out on it when she starts back up a minute later, and the rest of Blue team can make out the small amused tone in her voice now.

You never have to worry about Kelly not communicating with you. If there is something that is bothering her or just the way something was handed, she will come find you and want to discuss it right away. She'll open up a private line and ask 'Are you mad at me?' if she senses something wrong. Like not in an insecure, but 'hey, did I do something to upset you and not know it?'.

Kelly has nothing to compare her relationship to, she's 100% winging it, so she fully expects you to be honest and call her out 'cause she'll do the same with you.

That's a lie, she knows some things from Sergeant Johnson but she's learned not to 100% follow his words of wisdom with the 'ladies'

If you ever want to work out or go on a run, Kelly is delighted when you ask her, she might be the fastest Spartan but she will keep pace with you, even if a part of her wants to run ahead. It's the quality time together that she loves especially when she knows that it could be months until she sees her partner again.

Please take her on a hike with you, Kelly enjoys the thought of hiking together. If someone on Blue team tags along, she will run off ahead and round back to scare the daylights out of you. She thinks your startled shout is cute.

When another Spartan is present, Kelly runs ahead to scout the area out of instinct, the thought of something happening to her partner scares her.

She's scared this will be the time she's too slow to save you.

Kelly makes mental notes of places she wants to hike with her partner anytime they're on a mission, and will 100% take photos to show you if you're not currently present.

If you happen to get your hands on a ghost, Kelly will want to race. Fred's not around to stop either of you, so proceed with caution.

Also if you crash, Linda's going laugh at you from her perch, whether you know it or not. She's watching this whole thing go down from her scope.

She will make an underhanded comment about it later, confusing the hell out of you.

For someone so quiet, even by Spartan standards, Linda does gossip with you. She enjoys seeing you get excited over the little scandal on whatever ship they're on. She knows everything, do not try to keep a secret from her, she will find out.

The worst part is, it's not on purpose. Linda's just really good at overhearing things, very few people realize she's there or passing by and with her spartan hearing, she overhears all the so-called tea as you like to say. Her partner will in fact be the first to know that the commander got his mistress pregnant, oh and his wife knows about the mistress, who happens to be her best friend.

Kelly walked in on you choking on your water when Linda told you. She thought you were going to die for a split second and didn't quite understand why Linda was just sitting there with a pleased look on her face.

Shooting range dates are a thing. Yes, Linda likes working out with her partner but she enjoys shooting targets together and helping coach you. Honestly, her goal is to make you the second best after her, if that's possible but Linda will try.

You and Linda got so bored on a mission once that you guys started picking off Covenant from the perch Linda found. Fred was severely confused when the elite in front of him dropped dead, followed by a 'sorry' from you over TEAMCOMM.

When you are alone with her, Linda will lean against your legs or have her head in your lap. Play with her hair because her eyes flutter closed so fast and she lets out a long exhale. For some reason, she feels like the child she never got to be when you do and it clicks in her mind that there is someone to take care of her now. 

Silence is a default factor in the relationship, and not in a bad way, Linda is quiet by nature and simply enjoys her partner's company.  It's important to her that you spend quality time together any chance she's able. Linda would love to get you into meditation but if it's not your thing, she respects that. She has no issues meditating while you draw/write/read/ect. So the silence never needs to be filled since she's comfortable being in just the same room.

Don't get me wrong, she likes hearing your stories, especially since she's not always around, she wants to keep tabs on what's happening between missions and she's an amazing listener. Often than not giving solutions that tend to fix any problems or issues in your life, if she needs to, she'll handle your problem herself.

Okay so for the Trojan War one, The Horse and The Infant is my favorite, but every single one of those is a BOP. For the Cyclops one, Remember Them is my favorite, but My Goodbye is really good. For the Ocean Saga, I really only like Ruthlessness right now. GO LISTEN TO IT IT'S AMAZING, I LOVE WHEN MUSICIANS USE NATURAL SOUNDS TO CREATE MUSIC (like waves or raindrops).
