Woah! Fantastic, but difficult question! My top five fav characters huh? I hope you don’t mind that I only stuck to anime! 

1. Asta [Black Clover]

His drive and ability to influence and inspire others is astounding! Truly, in my eyes, no other character compares. If there’s one person i’m channeling in the weight room, it’s Asta!

2. Yami Sukehiro [Black Clover]

Another one from Black Clover! Well, what can I say? It’s my favorite show! He’s a close second to first. Yami is an incredible Captain. He’s laid back, immensely strong, but most of all, he cares for his squad! His personality is top tier. As Yami would say, “Surpass Your Limits!”

3. Itadori Yuuji [Jujutsu Kaisen]

He’s the type of character you just wanna hug and never let go! He’s precious, good-hearted, sacrificial, and strong! His smile makes me smile. 

4. Kamado Tanjiro [Demon Slayer]

His ability to keep pushing forward, keep a smile plastered to his face, and never give up despite all that he’s suffered through, is what awes me the most about Tanjiro. His heart is so pure & I cherish his kind demeanor.

5. Ishigami Senku [Dr Stone]

“Get Excited!” Senku isn't the strongest physically, but his brain power certainly makes up for it! He’s intelligent, strong-willed, and highly skilled when it comes to experimentation. He cares about restoring the world! He’s magnificent! 

& there you have it! My top 5! Keep in mind, this is just my opinion! Everyone is different, but it’s our differences that make everyone special. This list is due to change within time, especially now since i’m reading One Piece! I have a good feeling that Luffy will be making his way up the list! There is something soothing about the lake after a rainstorm. The still water looks like a pane of glass without a ripple in sight reflecting the surrounding trees and the bit of blue sky that is breaking through the cloud cover. You are sitting at the end of the dock dipping your feet in the warm water listening to the gentle sloshing of the water and the calling of birds as your eyes flutter shut.

It's peaceful

All of a sudden, you hear the gentle sound of something splitting the surface of the calm water. Expecting it to be an animal you slowly open your eyes not expecting the near holy scene in front of you.

A young man emerges from the water, his well-built chest dripping with water as he runs a hand through his soaked two-toned hair. He gently wades through the shallows until you see the low-hanging waistband of his deep red swim shorts appear above the waterline.

You don't mean to get caught staring but he is so ethereally gorgeous that you can't look away from his toned chest and well-built figure. You could've stared forever but then he turns his head to reveal his equally handsome face. Realizing you’ve been caught you turn away too quickly to be subtle.

Meeting your eyes he gives you a smile before walking through the soft grass and onto the dock "Are you enjoying the water all by yourself?" He asks with a soft voice.

You smile at him and playfully kick the water at your feet. "Yeah, It's nice when no one is out there making waves in their boats."

He returns your smile tenfold as he sits down next to you. "I believe we share the same sentiments, I’m Shinsuke,” he says extending his pale hand still sprinkled with lake water.

"I'm y/n," you say taking his hand.

That was the first time you ever met the handsome lifeguard, but you can't help that you have developed a little crush on him. Every day you see him sitting up on his tower intently scanning the shoreline for anyone who may need assistance his long fingers toying with the silver whistle around his neck.

He has become quite the favorite amongst the locals, especially the younger population. teenaged boys and girls alike break little rules in his presence just to be scolded by him as their cheeks flush. If Kita is aware of his charms he does not show it, instead opting to be charmed himself by the beautiful scenery around him. Even when he is not on duty you find him by the water taking a swim or perfecting the perfect rock skipping technique.

You've made a habit of walking down the shoreline and collecting any flat rocks you see. It's a little cheesy but you want him to be able to throw as many as he wants without having to go too far away from his lifeguard station. Your heart fills with joy any time you see him finding the rocks you not so subtly left out for him.

The lake gets fairly busy in the afternoon but the mornings are peaceful, even though the sun is still rising, the water is warm enough to take a swim. Wading into the shallows you let yourself go deeper. Once submerged your limbs feel lighter as your swim along listening to the sounds of calling birds and the gentle splashing of the water.

suddenly you feel something wrap around your ankle, when you reach down to feel it you feel the woven strands of rope similar to the ones the buoys are connected to. You try to push it away from you and head closer to the shoreline but the rope doesn't budge. Quite the opposite astually, you feel it pulling you farther out into the water like it's caught in some kind of underwater current.

You exhale sharply in panic, as water flows into your mouth. All you can do is try to keep your head above the water and claw at the tangled rope that wants to pull you under. Every time you try to call for help, more water fills your lungs between the panic you are feeling and the struggle to stay afloat you feel yourself losing energy.

Your fingers are cramped and turning numb from trying to tear through the rope while your legs feel heavier and heavier. You are painfully aware of the sound of your heartbeat drumming through your head. Tears stream down your face and into the freshwater below. You try to will yourself to keep going but you feel like you're going to drown.

Towards the shoreline, you are just able to make out a blurry streak of red coming towards you through the dark spots appearing in your vision. It crashes through the water towards your struggling form.

By the time it arrives you can barely see, something slaps the surface of the water in front of you. "Y/n, hold on to this. Your safe, I'm here." the blur says in a familiarly soft voice. You take your free arm and grab what seems to be some type of flotation device. Strong arms hoist your chest over the top of it.

The force at your ankle ceases and you half lucidly feel your body being taken to shore. once the water is shallow enough you are lifted off of the tube and carried to the soft grass on the bank. You gasp for air as you are laid down and your rescue kneels beside you.

Daring to open your eyes you see the worried features of Shinsuke looking down on you looking over your trembling form.

"Are you alright?" He places his hand on your forehead and you can feel the heat radiating from his palm.

"I... I think so," you manage to say between pants. "You saved my life, t-the rope... My foot..."

"Hey, it's over, you're safe," he says gently taking your hand and giving it a comforting squeeze. "I want to clean out that cut on your foot, I don't want it to get infected." He stands and you take a look down at the foot in question. Your skin is marred, red, and angry from the rope and the friction you caused in your struggle. The broken skin crying for attention with tears of red.

He comes back with enough first aid equipment to heal an entire militia, including a large towel that he gently wraps around your shoulders. "Those ropes were supposed to have been cleared out weeks ago." the anger in his voice is almost frightening as you look out at the now calm water, it's crazy how just minutes ago you were fighting for your life below its sparkling surface.

Gently Shinsuke cleans your wound and wraps it with careful intensity. "Does it hurt?" he asks looking up at you with a gaze of amber.

"A little," you admit "I didn't even feel it when it happened, I was so scared."

"I was too," he admits, "When I saw it was you in the water I felt like my heart was about to stop."

"Really?" you tilt you head to the side in confusion. It's not as if you too were extremely close.

He nods gently tracing your bandages with the pads of his fingers. "Yes, maybe next time you should let me know before you go out on a swim."

"So you can rescue me" you tease.

He chuckles softly "Precisely, but you probably shouldn't go back out there for a couple days so your cut can heal. I called the parks services and they are going to take out the rest of that rope too."

"So I guess almost dying did a little good after all," you laugh wearily your smile not meeting your eyes.

"Are you sure your okay?" he asks zipping up one of his first aid kits.

"Thanks to you I am, I owe you my life," you tell him sincerely.

"I was just doing my job, it's what a Lifeguard is supposed to do," he says bashfully.

"Lifeguard or not you still saved me," you smile at him.

"It was nothing," he says smiling shyly. "Now why don't I walk you home, maybe we can find a few rocks on our way."

You stop in your tracks "how did you-" you start to ask but he cuts you off.

"I had a feeling it was you bringing all those rocks to my station, but I wasn't sure until the other day. he explains, the twinkle in his eyes makes you cast your eyes towards the oh-so-interesting ground. "Hey now, you're cute when you're embarrassed."

"I-I'm not embarrassed." you lie as he tosses his head back in merry laughter.

“My apologies, then I guess you're just cute then. Is that okay with you?" He asks grinning at you.

"Sure... yes... your are too," you stammer out as he laughs.

"If you think the man who saved your life is cute, you may still have water in your brain."

"Really?" you giggle.

"Yes, I will have to check in with you later. May have your phone number?" he asks holding his device out towards you.

"Just to check in on me?" you tease punching in your number.

"Among other things," he smiles taking his phone back and sending a message to your number. "I would like to take you out on a date, maybe one that doesn't involve water."

"I'd like that."
