Why do you feel the need to put a disclaimer like that at the end of the post

Because this fandom has the tendency to think that if you empathize with starscream in any capacity, any at all, then you are excusing his actions and claiming that he's innocent. Which like, isn't the case. but the amount of times i've seen someone give starscream an ounce of sympathy, an people flooding his tags with "he is an abuser" "he's a bad person" "stop excusing his actions!" is like really, really annoying.

all of that is true, but i also don't think wanting him to be treated better by writing and other characters is bad. starscream is the only character i've seen where if you want him to have good things, people get mad at you lmao.

like no i don't think he's innocent, yes even tfp starscream, but i like him as a character and i wish he got better, especially in situations where other characters get redemption.
