I'm not a fan of DC comics. But I like their characters. On that note, here's some of the few characters they had in the 60s that I like:
Metamorpho: I haven't read Metamorpho's stories, but Bob Haney and Ramona Fradon definitely struck gold with him. He feels like everything good about the 60s. Silly, goofy, and fun. He reminds me of the thing, and now I just want a Thing-Metamorpho team up. Also, did you know metamorpho was tied to egyptian mythology? Apparently he is. Now I want a metamorpho-kane chronicles crossover.
The Doom Patrol: I loved the original concept and the original four members. Sadly, I care nothing for Mento or Beast Boy. That's just a fact. Still, really creative concept. Gotta respect it.
The Metal Men: Never read their stuff, but I think I'd like it. It's also informative (at least in theory). Their stories should feature goofy silver age stuff and chemistry lessons, imo.
The Phantom Stranger and Dr. Thirteen: I love these two. Love them both so much. The Mystical Phantom and a men who debunks supernatural hoaxes. A match made in heaven for stories. Because they're both good people. The supernatural may be real, but fraudsters exist too. You gotta deal with both.
Deadman: Never read Deadman's stuff, but I like the initial concept. A ghost trying to find his killer? That's genius.
Sugar and Spike: This is something I would one day to read. It's a humour comic about babies. Why would I not want to try reading that? It sounds like peanuts or something. Adorable.
But these are some of the only things DC had that I might like. And it's all their minor, niche stuff. No Flash, No Batman, No Green Lantern, No Justice League, etc. Only these niche things.

There are plenty of posts where Justice League and Constantine sees Danny's Ghost King Form in all of its Eldritchy glory, from on being Lightning Based to one being compared to an event horizon, as he takes down the ghost that was giving the League problems and it basically freaks them out.
So when I stumbled upon this picture
Tumblr media
I knew that this could be an excellent form worthy of a King if it was tweaked to fit Danny with ghostly elements, and maybe ice themes sprinkled with something Space related.
Like Vortex or Undergrowth is giving the League trouble, then this thing straight out of the Old Testament shows up, takes down the Ghost, and turns back to Danny who didn't know he just melted the League's brains.
Or, maybe during The Legion of Doom / The Light tries to summon the Ghost King for power/ take over the world, and Danny comes along looking like that and scares everyone there shitless.
How do you think that will go down?
I have had this in my drafts for So Very Long... Im sorry!!!
Holy *^$π, Batman!™
I LOVE the image, and 100% agree, it's an awesome base to work off with Danny.
I think it would be hilarious. Matter of fact, I wrote a fic about it. 😁 If you have an AO3, let me know and I'll gift it to you.
Ao3 here
Be Not Afraid- or Whatever
Summary: The weather god- though Constantine swore it was 'just' a ghost- had pinned down the entire Justice League. While they'd managed to trap Vortex in a two square mile area and evacuate civilians, and even arrested the cult responsible, they in turn were trapped in a small warehouse, protected only by the blood blossom spray and salt circle Constantine made.
With no way to fight it, they had only one choice: summon another ghost. Enter Ghost King Danny Phantom, stage right.
Rain, wind, and hail pounded heavily against the metal roof and walls of the tiny back office of a warehouse.
Earlier today- just this morning, in fact- it had been a bright and warm summer day. The Flash flinched as a piece of hail broke through a window. Constantine didn't flinch, intent on his task. Superman was still unconscious, Batman picking out shards of kryptonite from a bullet that had hit its mark too well.
It was silent but for the occasional pained gasp from their Kryptonian friend, and Constantine's low mutters in what sounded like Ancient Latin to Barry's untrained ears.
Thunder roared, and the single lightbulb went out. Wordlessly, Batman cracked a pair of glowsticks, passing one to him so he could hold it up for Constantine. Clark groaned quietly.
A cult of summoners swearing fealty to Vortex, Lord of Storms, seemed easy enough to stop; Batman made the plan and coordinated with everyone. He and Superman rescued hostages and dock workers alike as Batman and Constantine took down the cult.
It was supposed to be easy. Simple. It was anything but.
The smell of the weird floral spray Constantine used- Blood Blossoms, the magic user had said- was beginning to fade. A drop of sweat fell down Constantine's face. His lips were pressed tight, white against the odd pallor of his face.
"John," Barry whispered, "how much longer?"
Another window broke. Batman swore quietly. "Good news is, we've got the blood sacrifice ready," he joked under his breath. He winced then, and pressed his hand against the bandage on his arm.
It had bled through again, but the others were needed for Clark. In a rare event, the alien was the most injured on the team.
The cultists had purchased bullets laced with kryptonite from somewhere, which didn't hurt Constantine any more than a regular one. The same couldn't be said for Clark.
The magic-user hesitated until water started to bubble underneath the door, threatening the complicated circle of chalk and blood. He spoke, and this time it wasn't in Latin. Barry couldn't recognize it.
The temperature began to drop further while the air around the man began to shimmer, almost. Ozone gathered in the air, and the darkness increased until he couldn't see anything. Even the glowstick was a pinprick of light so tiny he couldn't be sure it was real.
A low rumble sounded and a radioactive green pool started to open. One massive clawed hand grabbed the edge. Constantine's voice cracked- but didn't stop. Another hand pulled out, and another, folowed by one more.
They were white as snow up to the wrists. One massive wing shot up, far too big for the office, followed by another, both black as night and covered with starry patterns. The next thing Barry made out was a crown of twisted black iron and glittering jewels, wreathed in green flame, atop two large horns, blue like sea ice.
The figure continued to rise as John spoke, revealing a second, then third set of wings and a mane of white hair which flowed in a wind he couldn't feel. Four sets of eyes opened, some solid green and glowing, some pitch black, some solid white, and the last a myriad of colors.
The thing's face was almost tan, almost the color of mortal flesh, but green scars like lightning bolts marred it. A thud alerted him of one massive foot, then another, both white and clawed.
The rest of its body except a shining white D was black as the void. When it opened its mouth, he had to look away, unsure if he feared or loved it, found it beautiful or terrifying.
Abruptly, the light from the sticks was back. He didn't dare look at Clark or Batman to see how they were doing; every instinct said he was in front of a predator, and showing the weak of the herd would be a death sentence.
    Finally, Constantine fell silent.
"What's up? Kind of a weird place for a summons, you know," it said, and Barry swallowed. It sounded like a child, an old man, a windstorm, the shriek of a blizzard, the thunder of roaring waves all at once.
"I have summoned you, King of Ghosts, to take your servant back to your realm," Constantine managed, voice only wavering a little.
It leaned forward. "And the price?"
The thing sounded almost teasing. Amused.
"What would you ask of us?"
"Autographs," it immediately said. "From Martian Manhunter, Superman, Cyborg, and Wonder Woman."
    Wait. What?
"I'm a big fan," it added.
"Should all of us survive today, we will do so," he agreed.
"Sweet. Gimme like 5 minutes. Maybe 10, Vortex is a bit of a bitch. Also, be not afraid or whatever. I'm one of the good guys."
It was gone, then, and abruptly Barry sucked in a breath. Sounds of a fierce battle echoed from outside for several minutes before the storm abruptly stopped.
Slightly singed, the Ghost King returned. "Hey, does Supes over there need a doctor? I know a good one in the GZ."
He swallowed. Batman cleared his throat. "We only need to get the kryptonite out of him, he'll be fine."
"Okay!" It chirped, then reached over and, without so much as ruffling the suit, reached into the alien and pulled out a small handful of shards. "I'll be back in a few weeks for those autographs- I'd say tomorrow, but time is weird. Bye, guys!"
"Wait- can I ask for a way to contact you? If you'd be willing to help in the future," Constantine asked.
"Yeah, sure. My Chirper handle is @realdeadguy, all lowercase, no punctuation," he said, "and you can call me Phantom if you want."
    -
    "Guys!"
Sam groaned and Tucker covered his face with a pillow.
"Dude, we know you just got back from a summons, but it's 3 am."
Danny rocked back and forth, wings twitching. "I met the Justice League! They're so cool! Batman was there! Batman!!!"
"I thought you were all about Su-"
"And I saved Superman's life, isn't that awesome?! I kept the kryptonite, look, real-life rock from space!"
"Rocks aren't alive, Danny," Sam muttered. Then, a second later, "wait, what?! You met the Justice League? Was Wonder Woman there?"
"No, but I asked for an autograph."

Have joker and batman ever agreed with something (not begrudgingly) ? Always been curious about this
They've even teamed up occasionally in the past, but I wouldn't count all of these instances as agreeing on something. It was out of necessity, most of the time. And explicitly getting Batman and Joker agreeing on something is quite rare, but there are things they've seen eye to eye on. I'll try to go through them below, but I'll put the elaboration and the comic references under the cut, since this got long.
Bruce agreed with Joker that he'd been making mistakes as Batman after Alfred's death;
Both Batman and Joker hate The Batman Who Laughs;
Both Batman and Joker agree that the world is meaningless and absurd (but they disagree on how to deal with it);
Both Batman and Joker believe in Joker's insanity as a reason for him not being fully responsible for his own actions;
Both Batman and Joker see their sidekicks as better versions of themselves, not imitations;
Both Batman and Joker oppose Nazis.
1) Bruce agreed with Joker that he'd been making mistakes as Batman, in Batman: Joker War.
This one is probably the most straightforward:
Tumblr media
Batman (2016) #94
Tumblr media
Batman (2016) #101
2) Both Batman and Joker absolutely loathe The Batman Who Laughs.
Neither wants Bruce to actually become him, they both think TBWL is an abomination-- which results in Joker teaming up with Bruce to help in defeating him two separate times (Dark Nights: Metal #6, The Batman Who Laughs). It's to the extent that Bruce relies on Joker to kill him if he turns into another TBWL (The Batman Who Laughs #4), and to the extent that Joker pretty much forbids Lex Luthor from working with TBWL, wrecking the Legion of Doom when Lex does not keep his word, in Justice League (2018) #13:
Tumblr media
3) Both Batman and Joker agree that the world is meaningless and absurd (but they disagree on how to deal with it).
This is perhaps most evident in Batman: The Killing Joke:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's been alluded that they agree on this in other stories too, like Batman: Ego and Batman (2011) #48. But TKJ remains the most poignant, since the fact they share a loss of meaning due to trauma they couldn't process is at the basis of the story-- and the point of it is that Joker is wrong that the only possible path after experiencing something like it is madness. "Maybe I've been there too," Bruce says. Despite Batman and Joker disagreeing on the how of dealing with it, they definitely see the world in the same way.
In the same vein, there's this moment in Batman (2016) #48 that's nothing if not agreement regarding the construction of their identities as a way to keep themselves alive in the wake of loss:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4) Both Batman and Joker believe in Joker's insanity as a reason for him not being fully responsible for his own actions.
Over time, more than one character has gotten at the truth of Joker's persona being, in many ways, a desperate performance; Jason dug at it in Batman: Under the Red Hood, Jim ponders it in Joker (2021). But Selina spelled it out best in Batman/Catwoman, even though technically this isn't within continuity:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Batman/Catwoman (2021) #9
"You're like him! Just exactly like him! [...] You know wrong from right, and you just chose a side!"
Most of the time, if Bruce and Joker ever agree on something, it's that Joker is crazy. They both need to believe it, for different reasons. Joker chose "madness as the emergency exit", and if he admits that he isn't mad, he lets go of the single coping mechanism he's constructed in order to keep surviving (not to even delve into the fact that this is how he deals with his breaking of the fourth wall). Although this isn't to say Joker isn't mentally ill (because hoo boy, is he)-- however, he isn't irrational. He's not the chaotic and monstrous force of nature he presents as; he's a human being making choices. And also... because he's "crazy", Bruce pulls stunts like saving Joker's life from the electric chair (Joker: Devil's Advocate), saving him from the Spectre's judgment (The Spectre #51) and from the demon Etrigan (Batman #546), saving his life when he gets stabbed despite Jim stating it's a consequence of his own choices (Batman: Cacophony #3)... by arguing Joker is a psychopath and incapable of making choices. In Batman/Catwoman, it's to the point he makes Selina swear she won't kill Joker, with Selina keeping to herself the thought that Joker was sane, indicating exactly just how much Bruce needed to believe it.
I'll make the note that this is of course my personal interpretation, and that there are times Bruce has referred to Joker as not insane. Like in Batman: Endgame, in which he calls Joker "not crazy, just evil". However, that's kind of the point, at least in my understanding... he only does this at the end of the road. And Joker has also called himself "differently sane" or argued against being called insane in actual courts of law, but his reasons for doing so are usually creating more chaos or a wounded ego (not sincerity).
5) Both Batman and Joker see their sidekicks as better versions of themselves, not imitations.
Well, according to Bruce at least:
Tumblr media
Punchline: The Gotham Game #2
6) Both Batman and Joker oppose Nazis.
This is a less personal one, but Joker asserts more than once that he's against Nazis and bigotry, in the Batman & Captain America crossover, and in Injustice: Ground Zero.
And there you go, Anon! I tried to limit this to beliefs agreement can be applied to, since going into the emotional similarities Batman and Joker share is something else. Also, if anyone has other cases in mind, feel free to add on!

Spoilers for Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong #6!
Not tons to say about this, but things are happening and there isn't a lot of standing around talking: Lex has finally put his plan into operation and Batman is countering it with his own giant mech, and even the League of Assassins has sent their pet monster into play. Plus, Grodd uses King Kong and Supergirl to the Legion's advantage and Superman comes out of his coma to confront Godzilla (who is chained with Nth metal at the bottom of the ocean). So there's lots going on, even if the Rogues are basically Legion cannon fodder and not doing much; there probably isn't much for regular villains to do anyway in a melee with giant monsters, mechs, and warriors like Wonder Woman.
I like that Black Manta is still the smartest voice of reason in the Legion of Doom, and the only guy arguing (futilely) that the group is a collective. He's fighting a losing battle, but I appreciate the effort to keep things more egalitarian.
It's interesting that Grodd saw Kong as a god in the first issue but is quite happy to mind-control him now. Maybe that's just Grodd's malicious self-interest at work, or maybe he had second thoughts about Kong's divinity when he saw how benevolent he is towards humanity. Brian Buccellato has always written a particularly vicious Grodd, and he's in fine form here by personally crushing Guy Gardner to death and controlling others with super-strength to do the rest of his dirty work. This is definitely the ape who ripped off Axel's arm and put Roy's head on a pike, and though I think Johns' Grodd was scarier, you can't argue with this Grodd's results.

What would Superman think of the other mainstay DC teams : the Justice Society, the Outsiders, the Titans, the Doom Patrol, the Metal Men, the Suiide Squad ?
Justice Society - Old guard. He'd be respectful of them, his parents taught him to respect his elders, but he'd view their collapse as a warning about what could befall the League if they're not careful. Privately he would consider them failures that the current gen needs to learn from to avoid repeating their mistakes.
Doom Patrol - Weirdos, but ones he respects and values. Some situations are beyond Superman's ability to solve, and the Doom Patrol are the ones who can handle the really weird shit. Think he would be mindful that he could easily have ended up with them and not on the League if his neurosis ever got the better with him, or he wasn't able to pass.
Titans - The kids. He's proud of Nightwing for building his own team and is happy that the next generation is preparing itself. Slightly skeptical about if they're ready to handle it all the same. Wishes Kara was on the team.
Young Justice - Definitely not ready to stand alongside the League as equals.
The Metal Men - Just another hero team to him, he has worked with A.I. before on the League and at the Fortress. Wouldn't stand out as different.
The Suicide Squad - Look there's no way the League would allow the Squad to continue existing once they became aware of them. Everyone on the League would view it's existence as abhorrent and try to shut them down.

So I really like comic books as like an art form, media, form of visual storytelling and sequential art and I know many people know comics via Marvel and DC superheroes so i wanted to highlight some creative fan's who's artwork, character designs and or redesigns and Au's who I really like and i think deserve some love...
P.S Im super Sorry if some of the link's are not active but im having trouble putting in Links to instagram profile's
The Anti-Apocalypse Man
There headverse au of Dc characters is a bold , colourful , pop explosion that effusively mixes all of their favourite comics with their own creative touch , no shying away from non humanoid bodies with aliens or robotic character's , piercing , cool fashion sense, big capes, long jackets, crop tops, chunky boots and gloves, belts make up some of the common design elements in their designs. Check them out, they have a great sense of style that's wholly unique to them that screams too cool for school.
There's an obvious almost infectious sense of Love present for some of the characters that always manages to improve my mood. Another facet of the art is the great background lore for their au that creatively mashes together like dozens of cool ideas from the comic's like multiversity, all-star superman, scott synders justive league, the characters of jack kirby and steve orlando.
I would recommend you take a look If you like the works of Grant Morrison, Frank Miller's Dark Knight universe, 90s teen superheroes especially, you might find this right up your alley. Lots of designs for young justice, JSA, Doom patrol, superman and batman families of characters there's a lot to love about the pop, punk, bright saturated colours and almost collage artwork/pop art feel it gives off with the sheer visual kaleidoscope of awesomeness that is on display.
Tumblr media
JENSCIN are two people
This indonesia pair of artists share some great artostic talent their desings or classic dc character's makes them look very human and have this comforting sense of warmth. Their artwork involving their original ideas for some adorable short little dc comics with a very huggable looking superman redesign that take inspiration from more classic golden age adjacent media look a lot of cool ideas about superman experience as an immigrant, like have you ever wondered what kryptonian food tasted like I didn't used to but now I do. An amazing take on an asian american lois lane, a 10/10 mercy design, Atlantienis having pitch black eyes like that of deep sea fish from living at great depths is an amazing detail. Have I mentioned they ahve put more thought, effort and love into everyone's Extraterestile cookie monster J'onn J'onzz then Dc has done in years please take some time to read Sons of Mars, their mars au lore is just excellent and their reinterpretation of mallifalak is so much better than what's previously been done with the character. Also not having the scientist who teleported John to earth be actually alive and part of his immediate social group is great. There way of blending sci-fi elements of DC stroies with a perspective focused on exploring character's unique cultural backgrounds is absolutely fascinating. 10/10 please check them out if you have the time.
Tumblr media
Gabriel Larragán Villalobos
He is a Costa Rican Artist I found Via instagram, art style is very sharp line work, angular designs jaws and well defined musculature. Their colour work ranges from vibrant bright primaries or metallic golds highlighting darker colour palette featuring forest greens, dark blues. Wine red, blacks.
He has a lot of great marvel redesigns in their Au he created for their Spider-sona the Night spider universe with a amazing original avengers line up and outside of that some excellent x men character artwork ( glad to see someone else liked wolverine and the x-men young cast members as well), moon knight as the leader for the 'cult of knoshu'. His DC stuff is also really great, lots of very fun Bat family designs along with some dynamic and interesting new takes on Teen titans and the Super son's and a great Outlaws Au with red hood, Roy harper and kara as a rebellious punk found family is awesome. Their Nubia and Daina are very cool. Their Black canary design is just Great (short hair). Also check out his powerpuff girls and Ninja turtle stuff.

Milkydraws
This Tumblr user's Artwork is really great in having warm tones and does redesigns for Dc characters such as the Justice League , JSA, JL international and teen titan's, DKR universe stuff. They do a very good job with clothes as well as musculature so their amazon sketches are really good, diana as a wrestler in the style of grappling wrestling they did historically in ancient greece is really fun idea, they also do a great job at non-human characters and their designs for atlanteans, starfire, trigon, martians are all appropriately horrifying in tjis artwork.
As fans I think we forget just how not like a person some of these characters should look, the scales/fins being part of aquamen rather then clothes is cool, some specific details i found i really liked were the dixie boots and retro S design for superman, diana's hair and more tiga like upper outfit, the big ears on their batman, the female flashes designs , clear glass on cyborg synthetic parts, that power girl design ( of several) with like the clunky mecha boots and gauntlets. The artists have a great use of colour, great understanding of anatomy, and some really good clothing designs. Fair warning some bare chests ( npth male and female) and some more gorey pic's among their work.
Tumblr media
bOssu
An artist I discovered via Instagram under the account name vnskecthes that has some great marvel redesigns and DC ones in between lots of commission work and OC sketches, using the likes of spider man, dr strange, black panther, iron man, captain america, ant man, shang chi ect. They offer a lot of variety as any single character focus piece has multiple designs presented, very slick artstyle with usually small colour palette for anyone, design keeps things nice and uniform, great texture on metal. Really cool mecha looking iron man stuff , and nice difference in masks for their black pattern designs, oni mask wolverine and daredevil is pretty cool. they done some DC resigns as well really like the No cape strong body armoured Martian manhunter,dr fate as a dog, satna with a little cape and glasses ( gives off very much a dork in private life vibes), fem flash with a mask, duel sword Wonder woman. A lot of influence from anime ,manga and video games for inspiration here that creates its own unique vibe.

Vinícius Lopez
This artist has a lot of great Redesigns. A good fantastic four redisings, a strong more stocky built version of susan storm, a reed with a clam smile and a good amount of grey hairs and a johnny a lopsided grin. Their x men redesigns are also pretty cool, their modern x men line up has this double line motif on cyclops, accents beat's lab coat and storms stockings mixed with bright colours makes it look very slick and striking, the classic x men line up has some practical looking suits and features a non-binary angel, his justice league redesigns are pretty cool I like the variance in body type and hair styles he has, also the dr fate design is way too attractive. His batman redesigns are pretty cool pinty little shoulders and full mask, jacket and goggles catwoman ( some pre-crisis red head jason love), teen titans redesigns are cool too, prosthetic looking leg cyborg, energetic beast boy, also both of his wonder woman designs go slap so hard! The original more canon adjacent one with the Dog tags and tie back hair is super cool but the later sketches of a tall, wild free flowing hair and BUILT like a brick house are also excellent.

Taku (@Yotakuboi)
Probably the artist with the least amount of artwork out at present but quantity does not equate quality. I found them on instagram as yotaku_boi , this artists has a frantic sort of energy to their art but crisp, clean line work effective matched with effective colour schemes and some really great character redesigns for spider man related characters, a more monster looking batman, a really cool catwoman design, the best drax design I have ever seen, a really interesting look for venom with a bulbous frog like tongue and black and white used to make a skeleton accents that remind me of a de los Muertos mask. Lot of his designs feel like they belong in an animated cartoon series and there is an obvious appreciation for a bit of a horror esthetique in some of his work.

Mike Becker
This artist most easily found on deviantart has a well proportioned that depicts almost Gabriel Ba esque art styles version of these characters very well, his use of bright colours and love of zany more cosmic, high flying silver age comic vibe is evident in every artwork especially some of his OC's , hes done art of the avengers, spider man, dr strange, fantastic four and a fairly extensive list of X men characters , he has also done Justice league, teen titans, legion super heroes. New gods, super pets and some DC rogues galleries. His artwork often features status effects around the characters such as radiating Kirby krackles of energy or surrounded by flames, he also often plays with detail on characters skin such as swirling moving of magma's arms or magic's metal arm or the tattoos he gives hawkwoman. He also seems to really love animals and that's always a plus. I don't care if it's silly if we are able to say a person can fly then why can't his dog also fly too.

For anyone who's a fan of thor or DC character's I would encourage you to take the time to check out this amazing artist. He has recently done DCtober an art challenge where people redesign/draw a character a day for a month all of which are very cool, the year before he did a Marveltober where he did the same thing although those designs are monochrome but still excellent.
There are many things I can point to as to what I enjoy in his designs his batgirl home made looking costume, how cartoonish Mr Miracle looks like he's trying to escape being two dimensional, the ocean colour scheme for his aquaman and the fiery colour scheme of his ares, he also has really cool designs for high tech armour on characters like black manta, blue beetle, big barda. He has also done art based on various IP's he doen designs based off the unfinished justice league mortal film film the 2000's, flashpoint universe characters, spiderman and spider verse and X-men with a EArth X design influence.
Tumblr media
Oni18064
Where do I even begin to describe this artist. He has a constant output of new artwork everyday. I have been following for the past two or 3 years now and can definitively say that he loves art and is always improving his already amazing skills. His character redesigns mostly Marvel stuff although his old Dc redesigns are fun too and have a great Idea of giving each big character their own fifth dimensional imp, He's done about three maybe four rounds of redesigns at this point for a lot of the different ip's like X-men, spider man, fantastic four, captain america, hulk, thor, runaways, big hero six ect. The hero in question is a lot of their rogue's gallery and their allies.
His most recent has him doing different alternate universe to his overall AU version of marvel which has some interesting features to it such as mash up of new warriors with big hero six, happy hogan in a iron suit, black peter parker, with miles morales under the alias scarlet spider and ghost spider being the gwen clone from the original 70's clone saga story, fem captain america and falcon, monica rambeau as captain marvel with kamla as her sidekick spectrum, Nick coulson as Machine Man ( for my fellow agents of shield watchers I thought this was very clever). Overall great creative energy very well versed in both the comic's themselves and other related media such as recent video games or movies. The overall influences and desing elements are taken from all over showcasing both their immense creative and technical skills and their humbling love for these comic books in every piece of artwork they post.

//second half of collab with @tickle-beans !! //
"Guh-huhu-Come quickly!" He mustered. Arthur and Bruce skirmished past Chinatown, managing to fight the Parademons and the sensations at the same time, but as soon as they were about to come to his rescue, the Batman raised his arm, Batarang in hand. With the ominous drag of a Parademon's finger along his underarm, it slammed down, leaving him with no ammunition, and Clark to laugh and call for help. Arthur's trident was proving effective until with an unexpected quick wit, one jumped at him and clawed repeatedly and lightly at his stomach, causing grunting titters to sputter out of his lips.
"hmmhmHhhr-GhAH!" Though he was still able to fight the horde off, Bruce was struggling significantly more- his usual skill and focus was blinded by the sensations crawling across his body. Upon seeing this, Barry sighed in relief- at the facts that A- he wasn't targeted, and B- he shared a common vulnerability with most of them. Criss-crossing all the way from all sides of Gotham to the start of Palmera, he held off some of the barrage while Cyborg dealt with some as well. Attempting to stop their mere tickling from disarming the league, he shot at every single one that crossed their paths, but the zombie-like demons would flow in constantly. He flew up in the air to shoot red beams down at them to sear off their heads and launch missiles, and sped back down to the ground to help Barry, rinse and repeat…
Until he felt a strange pounding in his system. His robotic construct heated up, wires frayed, and just as suddenly as they had merged with his body, certain parts were flesh and bone as they were. Feeling the chill in his skin, it was the first time he'd just been, albeit partially, plain old Victor Stone. Huh. He remained persistent still, and with five fatal but awkward and faulty blows,of glowing plasma bulbs, Clark broke free, holding a snarling Parademon in a suplex and throwing it down with Kryptonian strength and flying skyward. Lasers blazed through his retinas and seared the skulls of a wave of Parademons, and from there, Bruce and Arthur broke free.
Things were going well… or so they thought. The Mother Box technology attached to Cyborg was on the fritz, and he was one step away to becoming plain old Victor Stone.
Ticklish. That was just a word. Mere child's play to him before this, whatever it was.
Tickling was a memory from the distant past and an affectionately violent graze to the skin, one which he remembered was unpleasant- agonizing, even.
This felt new. But it sure beats pain. His attacks grew erratic, as newly exposed skin resurfaced, being just barely scraped, and the butterfly effect of a straining sensation shone through. Hearty laughs replaced screams of agony, despite the feeling being akin to lying on a bed of nails. Most of the horde's terrible, tickling tactics were being trifled (though Diana still struggled to fight under the bind of her own weapon), but just barely. The saviors of Earth still could take a bullet, but all collapsed at irritating itches along their skin. Arthur and Bruce were still covering the ground of the city with gruff, strained chuckles. Superman fought with struggle midair as Diana laughed her heart out, put under a grave disadvantage as Victor's technology bailed on him.
But Barry was running ahead. The mindless creations would be corralled at his mach-speed lead. Barely shaking one off his leg, he zipped up to Clark, who had flown down to fight on land with the others, who weren't making headway.
There was a sound- like grating metal and pulsating power looming over the League. A tender, elderly smile preceded doom, for the world, for the Earth, for the Justice League- and they couldn't do anything to stop it.
"Barry, we're out of time." he sighed, breaking the news to Barry, who cut through the pile of Parademons to jostle him.
"D-Don't say that." Barry exclaimed. "We can still fix this. This is NOT the end of us." He chokes back tears, through the sound of choking back laughter. A few Parademons try to grab at both of them, but they're avoided in seconds.
There was another sigh from Clark. "There's only one option left." Shaking his head, he set his arm on Barry’s shoulder.
"Run. As fast as you can."
"Clark,” Barry protested.
“Break your rule and fix this Barry,” Clark gave one last smile.
Barry turned and faced the street. Lightning pulsated around him from his legs up to his body, and with enough kinetic energy, he burst off faster than the speed of sound, faster than the speed of light. His body tingled as the lightning crackled around him. A portal into the Speed Force glowed in a neon hue of blue. Barry yelled out, straining. His life- his mom. Eobard. That strike of lightning. The Justice League- flashed before his eyes, he ran faster than he'd ever run. It all faded to white, the portal crackled behind him, and then shut, leaving behind his world.
To be continued…

A DC Reading List!
Since I started getting back into comics last year I've built quite a collection already! With the DC TPBs & Omnibuses I own I've enough to get a decent view of how DC has changed from the Golden Age (William Marston) to their Future State (Cloonan-&-Conrad). I'm beginning to read DC "from the start to now" & would love any Criticisms or Additions to my reading list!
1. Crisis on Infinite Earths by Marv Wolfman
2. Wonder Woman: War of The Gods by George Perez
3. Identity Crisis by Brad Meltzer
4. Superman: Last Son of Krypton by Geoff Johns
5. Flashpoint by Geoff Johns
5a. Batman: Zero Year, Batman: The Court of Owls, Batman: Night of The Owls, Batman: The City of Owls, The Joker: Death of The Family
5b. Wonder Woman New 52 Omnibus by Brian Azzarello, WW-N52 v7-9 by Meredith Finch
5c. Luthor bt Brian Azzarello
5d. Superman Doomed
6. Dark Nights: Metal by Scott Snyder
6a. Dark Nights: Death Metal by Scott Snyder
6b. Dark Nights: Metal - The Multiverse Who Laughs by Scott Snyder
7. Wonder Woman & Justice League Dark: The Witching Hour by James Tynion IV
7a. Justice League Dark: The Last Age of Magic by James Tynion IV
7b. Wonder Woman: The Just War by G Wilson
7c. Wonder Woman: Love is a Battlefield by G Wilson
7d. Wonder Woman: Loveless by G Wilson
8. Future State: Justice League by Ernie Altbacker
8a. Future State: Wonder Woman by Cloonan-Conrad
8b. Far Sector by N.K. Jemisin
8c. Future State: Batman - Dark Detective by Mariko Tamaki
8d. Future State: Batman - The Next Batman by John Ridely
With sections 7 & 8: AFAIK section 7 (which technically begins with Greg Rucka's Rebirth series & continues through Tamaki's Wonder Woman: Lords & Liars TPB) & all the Future State material (such as Trial of The Amazons & the new Yara Flor led Wonder Girl series) both somehow spin out of the multiversal wars that happen in the Dark Nights series. I'm just not exactly sure how yet they spin out of those events.
Also - a list of Standalones I own that don't exactly connect to the above list in a timeline manner:
1. Kingdom Come by Mark Waid
2. Who is Wonder Woman? by Dodson-Heinberg
3. Superman: Last Son of Krypton by Geoff Johns
4. Wonder Woman: The Golden Age v1-3 by William Marston
5. Batman: The Long Halloween by Jeph Loed
6. Wonder Woman: Her Greatest Victories
6a. Wonder Woman: The Cheetah
6b. Wonder Womab 750 The Deluxe Edition
7. Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen: Who Killed Jimmy Olsen? by Matt Fraction
8. Wonder Woman: Earth One v1-3 by Grant Morrison

Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths No. 4 (November 2022)
After DC's last big reality-altering event, Dark Nights: Death Metal, the cosmic status-quo of DC's comics was reset again. As well as the multiverse, comprised of 52 Earths, there was now the Omniverse. As explained by the mysterious cosmic race known as the Hands, the Omniverse was made up of multiple multiverses, with each multiverse made by a different hand. With the DC multiverse now open and able to access the Omniverse, there were an infinite number of Earths to explore once more. Hence, the name of DC's 2021 relaunch (and miniseries) - Infinite Frontier.
However, all of that changed in Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths #4 (by Joshua Williamson, Daniel Sampere, Alejandro Sánchez, and Tom Napolitano). In this issue, there was a little more discussion about the DC Multiverse and the greater Omniverse, as the influence of the Great Darkness has begun to spread from the edge of DC's multiverse. That was what Mr. Terrific told the heroes anyway. What Lex Luthor told the Legion of Doom, on the other hand, was very different.
Lex Luthor and Vandal Savage worked alongside Mr. Terrific in the oft-forgotten, secret Infinite Frontier team known as the Totality. Its members also included Talia al Ghul and the trapped Justice League members Martian Manhunter and Hawkgirl. Their goal was to monitor the multiverse and the recently discovered Omniverse to try and prevent any further reality-altering Crisis events from occurring. Now with Manhunter and Hawkgirl presumed dead, it's clear the team fell apart. Whilst Mr. Terrific seems to hold onto the idea of the idea of the Omniverse, Luthor, and Savage have labeled that a lie.
According to them, during their time with the Totality, they found out that original the idea of the Omniverse was false. What that means exactly isn't certain. In the recently released Flashpoint Beyond #5 (by Geoff Johns, Tim Sheridan, Jeremy Adams, Xermánico, Mikel Janín, Romulo Fajardo Jr., Jordie Bellaire, and Rob Leigh), Mr. Terrific claimed the Omniverse was "everything". If the Omniverse was originally thought of as multiple other multiverses and if Mr. Terrific believes that the Omniverse is everything, then something about that is no longer considered true.
Pariah's goal in Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths, and the goal of the series in general, is to bring back the original infinite DC Multiverse that was lost during the original Crisis on Infinite Earths series, back in 1985. From the looks of things, DC is moving back to the idea of having an infinite multiverse instead of one with only 52 Earths. If that is the case, then the Omniverse is no longer required. And if it's no longer required, then what is the point of it still existing?

Justice League Versus The Legion of Doom character concept: Wonder Woman.

With a great sense of appreciation for man’s world and a greater sense of Justice, she stands as one of the prime defenders against villainy.
Play style: A strong and fast warrior, Diana has a lot of good tools in her moveset. But while she has good mobility, zoning is a way to keep her at bay.

Air combos: 7.
Special moves:
Lasso of Truth: Diana tosses out her lasso, pulling them in for a clothesline punch. Enhance for her to make them confess a truth, stunning them in place long enough to get in.
Unbreakable Spirit: Diana walks forwards with her shield out, able to absorb three projectiles with meter burn. Her best tool for countering zoners.
Wonder-Twirl: Diana spins around, knocking the opponent up in the air.
Amazonian razor: Diana tosses her tiara across the screen as a high projectile. She can angle this down at the ground for it to bounce into the air.
Shield smash: Diana dashes in the air with her shield forward, bashing into the opponent. Can be done in the air.
Bracelets of submission: Diana crosses her arm guards over one another, reflecting all projectiles.
Air dash: Diana dashes in the air.
Character Trait:

Victory cinematic:
Diana sheathes her sword and shield, and crosses her bracelets over each other as they glow a faint gold.
Some dialogue:
Wonder Woman: It isn’t too late to solve your curse.
Cheetah: Spare me the platitudes, Diana.
Wonder Woman: If only I could spare you.
Wonder Woman: I heard that you never miss.
Deadshot: Do you need a demonstration?
Wonder Woman: I’m curious if you can hit me.
Wonder Woman: Nth metal against Amazonian steel?
Hawkgirl: Winner buys lunch.
Wonder Woman: Deal, let’s begin.
Story dialogue:
(Diana is having a friend date with Etta.)
Diana: Etta, I assure you, I'm fine. I just... I'm not used to things being this quiet.
Etta: You need to learn to just accept that maybe things are looking up for you. I'd say you deserve a break or five.
Diana: Isn’t that what this is?
Etta: Let me guess, something came up?
Diana: I’ll be back soon. With a new story to tell.
Etta: Can't wait.

Got myself thinking about it, even straight up imagining how I wish a next JL cartoon would try to adapt it to do it it justice, imagining how I would do it, replaying whole scenes in my head, cause I'm a dork like that-but damn, if Scott Snyder didn't decide it'll just be lead up to fucking Death Metal, I think his JL run would be remembered as one of the all time best Lex stories. I know the whole "Lex literally decides that Evil is Good" is kind of goofy and abstract, but the idea is it's supposed to be an absurd escalation of Lex's pseudo-philosophical justifications for his villainy (you can tell Snyder's a Morrison fanboy) and Tynion's co-writing helps to ground more in character and feel like an extension of his time as hero, with Lex rather than simply go back to the old status quo, decides he'll uproot the accepted foundation of of known existence to make himself the true savior of humanity.
Really, if only he just made the Justice/Doom War the finale and let Death Metal be an indirect follow-up, even the latter would be looked upon more fondly.
yeah, i was actually really surprised how much i ended up liking justice league (2018)! i do think it had a bit of a slow start, but i enjoyed seeing a villain story with lex where he was actually allowed to have a character arc because historically a lot of stories that use him as a villain tend to keep him pretty static, and i agree with you about tynion tempering snyder's more... batman-villain-writer tendencies, shall we say, where lex is concerned. snyder's lex is fun but particularly unhinged in a way that i felt like worked very well in batman: last knight on earth but came off a little strange in superman: unchained.
i'm not sure whether death metal or last knight on earth happened first, but it kind of feels like last knight was what snyder wanted death metal to be, and since it was a self-contained story he was actually able to do it well. and because it's a batman story and not a justice league story the unhinged vibe actually works there.
the plot also gave me the lex luthor: year of the villain special, which is a little silly but it's one of my favorite lex one-shots.

JL Episode 5: War World
This one's more Superman focused, with sub-plots of J'onn wandering around doing his best and Hawkgirl/Green Lantern trying to find the aforementioned two.
War World is a scary prophecy of what kind of world would result if "Bread and Circuses" was an adequate political strategy. Never mind that food rations are down by 15%, medical and agricultural resources are down. There's fighting to distract the populace! /s It's like modern Kardashians, but if they were government sanctioned and managed to distract everyone instead of only most-Americans.
Weren't Green Lantern rings supposed to be sophisticated databases on intergalactic space? How is John CONSTANTLY lost everywhere and CAN NEVER FIND anything in space? You're telling me you're a space cop who doesn't own a working map? DOES HE JUST GUESSTIMATE WITH CONSTELLATIONS?
It's only Episode 5. Maybe his power up between seasons 1 and 2 is buying a working map.
Whatever nth metal is, it's the coolest metal ever. Hawkgirl literally punted a laser-planet-destroyer-ray back into the laser. Sorry Captain America, she's got the superior metal.
Nice to see Dagar subvert the "he let me live, I must kill him for that" to instead blame Mongo, who should be blamed.
Once you see the ending, you gotta wonder if Dagar was pissed at Superman for not-killing him, or if he was pissed because he thought Superman breaking game rules would doom his planet and was angry at the whole doomed-planet thing.
Superman saved. And the Justice League immediately fucks off, never mind this planet full of performative-murder-spectacle and a starving populace with no real political system beyond Former Deposed Tyrant. At the very least, alert the Green Lantern corps, I'm assuming they exist cause they showed up in Episode 2. Do they know that War World exists?
Also fun fact:
Some political pundits and academic political scientists use the phrase "Green Lanternism" (or "political Green Lanternism") to refer to the common tendency to demand perfection or omnipotence from political leaders, and to blame actually unsolvable or inevitable problems on political leaders' alleged weakness or malice, as if political office-holders' powers and abilities, like Green Lantern's powers and abilities, were limited only by their personal strength of will.

Pacific Rim
The Wolf of Wall Street
Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox
Pain & Gain
This is the End
God this year was mediocre. Looking through what I watched, there wasn’t a lot I loved in terms of movies.
TV wasn’t much better in hindsight. Rick & Morty started that year, and back then it was good enough to be one of the best things of the year; too bad it went all Heroes on us. On the other hand, we got afflicted with Attack on Titan that year too. Ugh. And don’t even get me started on Steven Universe.
Video games win again with Arkham Origins, Dual Destinies, Pokemon Y, The Wolf Among Us, GTAV, DuckTales: Remastered, The Last of Us, Injustice, Metal Gear Rising… when a year’s movies suck, the games are good.
Still, I guess it’s not all doom and gloom. Aside from these five we got We’re the Millers, Evil Dead, Now You See Me, The World’s End, and the greatest film of all time, Free Birds. And Pacific Rim is honestly good enough to make up for everything else.
