I've been seeing 'RWBY should have crossed over with Teen Titans not Justice League' but like

Beacon isn't a high school, it's more a college/university than anything else, the main cast aside from Ruby are all nearing the end of their teens (especially at the current point in canon)

plus it would've felt infantilising, like RWBY isn't 'good enough' for the big leagues so they need to be put in the kiddy pool with characters who would skew younger than most everyone except Ruby

I'm a firm believer that at least one iteration of every hero/hero team they're on should have a catchphrase/battle cry. Not only does it make them more iconic and recognizable it makes some moments more epic. Avengers assemble, It's Hero Time, It's Morphin Time, Going Ghost, Titans Go,so many of these would be less iconic without them. The Justice league should really use Justice League Action more often

Justice League/Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (2017) by Power Rangers NOW

Lord Zedd plants a trap in the form of a fake “Alpha 5″ to infiltrate the Command Center which allows him and his putties access. Zack arrives first to defend and attempts to teleport them out but the teleportation relay have been damaged by the fake “Alpha 5″ causing Zack and Zedd to be teleported elsewhere far away to a different universe where the Justice League lives.

The remaining Power Rangers later managed to track and tried to bring him home but realised that they’re all stranded in the new universe, where they get off the wrong foot with the Justice League, thinking it’s a schemed devised by Lord Zedd. Meanwhile, Lord Zedd was Brainiac who finds the revelation of another universe intriguing and decides to join forces to obtain Earth.

It’s an interesting crossover I never thought I would see, seeing my favourite childhood superheroes meeting each other. I really hope they would adapt it into an animated movie as DC Comics Animated Universe is just amazing and I can imagine them doing this story arc. I like seeing how the different characters interact with each other, just like what I imagined them to be.

Like minded individuals like Billy and Cyborg getting along due to their understanding of technology, and Tommy and Batman getting on each other’s nerves because they’re both strong headed and does not trust others easily. Seeing Superman being the “Father-Figure” to the Power Rangers, giving them advice and encouragement is wholesome.

My favourite of them all is seeing Flash getting along with the Power Rangers, probably because of his youthful spirit and easy going attitude.

My only complain is that the six issues feel short as it could be longer. I was hoping to see more interactions between the characters which was not shown because the were all rushing to save the world and hardly have the time to get to know each other. It would be cool to see Supergirl interacting with Kimberly, Wonder Woman with Trini, Superman with Jason, and the likes.

There go my heroes…

I’ve been trying to find the right words to say about these tragic passings. It’s hard. I imagine a lot of people these past few weeks have had a similar dilemma trying to formulate their thoughts, trying to express their grief for these two huge losses.

Now, I think it’s my turn.

Growing up, & I imagine a few people will relate, I was bullied. I was made fun of for my weight, my love of reading (I’m not kidding) & my love of things that, when I was a kid, most girls didn’t like. This included the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, wrestling, & certain TV shows. Included in that regard was Batman: The Animated Series (& later Batman Beyond) & Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (& several later versions, of course).

Let’s start with Batman. I watched a LOT of BTAS & Batman Beyond growing up. I’m amazed I didn’t drive my mother crazy with it, honestly. I probably wouldn’t have cared regardless, given how deep my love for the shows ran. Obviously I loved the stories, the fight scenes, & the characters but, of course, the standout of the show was Kevin Conroy’s incredible performance as Batman/Bruce Wayne. He gave the character emotion & depth that made his portrayal of the Dark Knight the all-time best. Most will agree that Conroy’s Batman is one of the best, and that includes myself. His repeated portrayals of Batman were all amazing, but that original performance remains the greatest in my eyes. It helped shaped my childhood & made me feel better when I was having a bad day. It also helped me become braver when it came to dealing with my bullies. I will be eternally grateful for that.

Now for the Green Ranger. Well, also the White Ranger, the Red Ranger (twice) & the Black Ranger. To say that Jason David Frank was the definitive Power Ranger is a hell of an understatement. He’s a legend in the Power Ranger franchise & for damn good reason. His love for the franchise & its fans was clear, as he always seemed so happy to meet fans & hear about their own love for the Rangers. I first was introduced to JDF’s Tommy Oliver on MMPR as a kid, & he instantly became my favorite Ranger (besides Kimberly, the Pink Ranger). I watched the following series that he was in until I fell off the Ranger train for a while. Until Dino Thunder started airing on Jetix (oof, there’s a throwback). I couldn’t believe that Tommy was back as a school teacher & mentor to the new Rangers, but it was awesome to see him back. Of course, it only got better when he became the Black Dino Ranger. I was so happy my favorite character was back & kicking butt again, & I watched Dino Thunder repeatedly because of it. I always loved how strong Tommy was, & it encouraged me to be stronger too. When I lost my grandmother & cousin back in 2010 & 2011, respectively, I found myself rewatching Power Rangers, because I felt I needed to draw from their strength to help me feel better. Of course, I mostly drew from Tommy’s strength & it helped a lot. Just like with Conroy’s Batman helping me, I will be eternally grateful for JDF’s Tommy helping me too.

Sadly, I never got the chance to meet JDF or Kevin Conroy, so I never got to tell them about how much their characters helped me. Now is my chance. Gentlemen, thank you so much for helping shape my childhood. You helped make me feel better on bad days, you helped me deal with my grief when I lost my loved ones, & you helped me become a better person. No words will ever be able to fully describe how grateful I am for everything you did for me & many, many others. Rest easy, both of you. You will never be forgotten.

Instead of the Power Rangers ending up in Justice League, the Justice League end up in the Power Rangers world, learning that the world is resting on the shoulders of 6 teenagers. No other help outside of a robot and a floating head. There IS no other help.

Just 6 teenagers. With no backup essentially winging everything, trying to get through the day alive.

Green Arrow and Dinah going with Kim, listening to the shouting matches between her parents. Screaming so loudly that Kim tries no to cry.

Mr. Cranston who ignores Billy’s existence, walking immediately past without a word. Hal and Barry trying to control their urge to punch the man.

Bruce and the Batfamily watching Jason attend to his mother in the hospital dealing with a father that barely cares or acknowledges things. The smell of booze filling the house.

Wonder Woman being a steadfast presence for Trini who handles the situation with her parents with maturity that no child should be forced to have.

John Stewart immediately connecting with Zack’s parents hitting off with Zack’s mother and ends up being allowed to stay with them, almost taking him as a family member.

Clark meeting Tommy’s adopted parents, being an adoptee himself and creating a bond between them. Yet, hearing the whispers and judgement remarks from passersby.

Just... the MMPR rangers and Justice League bonding despite being from different worlds, and the 6 actually gaining mentors in the League and trying their best to help.

Also, the League, despite liking Zordon, having words with him.
