Idk what my brain is doing but it was randomly like "What is Austin Mahone doing?" If you don't remember he was essentially a Justin Bieber clone from the mid to early 2010s who quickly rose to fame but fell just as quickly. Guess this is him today!

SUGAR PIT
Sugar Pit, located in (I believe) California, is an artist who seems to have a 1980's rock, indie-inspired look to music. The first song I ever heard by this artist was "Supply/Demand" which immediately captivated me. With the unique voice, I hadn't heard anything like it in a while.
His voice makes me think of a young adult breaking into a 1980s speakeasy and causing a scene on top of the bar tables with everyone looking at him like he's crazy before breaking out into a big party.
Sugar Pits unique style of wording and pronunciation makes him one-of-a-kind in the genre he's pursuing. I have no doubt others will find him just as fascinating. If you like Stranger Things, this artist could go on your playlist alongside artists like The Clash and Corey Hart.
Although he reminds me of The Clash and Corey Hart, that doesn't take from the modernness he's giving on the old-styled genres. It's refreshing, something new that dabbles in keeping its familiar feeling, something older and newer generations can love.
Although his songs on youtube don't have many views, I beckon you to look at them and see just how talented this artist is.

I think it's finally time I told you: I'm over you. I spent far too long searching for your approval just like I did the many idols that fell before you, but you were different, you cut deeper. The most fascinating thing about these old wounds is that they know how to heal themselves.
In a way absence did make the heart grow fonder, it took me losing myself for me to learn how to truly appreciate myself. I feel like some gratitude is due, but not to you. To the girl that you tried to bury under your bombs of emotions, to the girl that thought loyalty meant staying with someone who hasn't yet gotten their heart back from another lost flame, to the person that thought feeling bad means someone else feels sorry. She put the effort in, but she needed to fall before she could set her roots.
As for you, when will you stop being a bystander in your own life? When will you learn to face the truth you tried so hard to shove down? One day the levy will break and I hope you don't leave yourself to drown in the harsh words of your own denial.

this might sound weird and annoying of me but it’s so crazy how people here know about los campesinos now.. I mean a large chunk of them are wilbur soot fans but still….. like this band I’ve felt like only me and my dad have known for years is now known by people I can actually interact with. I mean I won’t but isn’t it a nice thought. Like los camp was my 2015 fav, as well as Justin Bieber . But TBH I’ve always thought their lyrics were lowkey annoying and a little tryhardy and Johnny Foreigner is obviously the Better Option but that’s for another day.

how come bad music is so rare, but bad visual art isn't?
there seems to be this weird inequality between making musical art and making visual art, at least to me. like if you're making visual art, it doesn't matter how skilled you are at it or how experienced you are. you can have decades of experience or two weeks of it. but with music? it just seems like everyone just... knows what to do and everyone instantly makes brilliant music as soon as they get their hands on an instrument or a computer.
i know it's not the case, but when was the last time i heard some really bad music? bad as in horrible production quality. i genuinely don't know. but you see bad visual art all the time (i use the term "bad" very loosely here, and i understand that just because a piece of art doesn't look good at first glance it doesn't mean it's bad, i'm mostly just talking about things like consistency, skill and how pleasant the artwork is to look at). i wonder why that is. does every musical artist just hide their work until they're "good enough" to share it with the internet?
