July seventh, 2019 Bang Chan Dating scandal Seriousness: 8.5/10

During their Clé promotions, Pixie is seen being awfully close to her members, specifically Bang Chan. Many Pixie antis start accusing the two of dating, turning into a fandom war. Many go on to say that the reason she is in Stray Kids is the "fact" that she is sleeping with Bang Chan.

While JYPE usually doesn't let their idols respond to the accusations, they had to give Pixie explicit permission, because if she wouldn't have made a statement with permission, she was going to do it anyway. This is her official response.

Stay, To say that I am beyond tired and frustrated is an understatement. The fact that you go as far as to say Chan, a full grown adult, is dating me, a minor, is frankly disgusting. I am disappointed. In the middle of your hate towards me, you bring down the man that is THE glue that holds Stray Kids. The reason I had been so close to the boys is because, believe it or not, we are all like family. Bang Chan is like a brother to me, and I doubt he sees me as anything other than a little sister. And, another thing... I am a MINOR. Why would I be in a relationship with a grown man? I am disgusted by your behavior. If you hurt one of us, you are not a Stay. You don't deserve that title. Pixie

While many international fans praised the idol, many Knets were appalled by her blunt response. Pixie was already unpopular with Knets, so this just brought her down.

While many were hating on her apparent "rudeness", many praised her for sticking up for her leader. While they see her as "unladylike", they believed her sincerity for the response. It is not a day many recognize, because many people chose to forget the incident. Many Pixie antis still use this as "proof that she is a terrible person".

August 3rd, 2019 Bullying allegations Seriousness: 7/10

Along with her dating scandal, an American user by the name of Notsokayla had tweeted "proof" of Pixie bullying her severely in middle school. Many Knets were outraged at the allegations, starting the hashtag, #Pixieunemployment.

However, amidst the speculation, many people connected the dots of her trainee time and her alleged bullying and realized it hadn't added up. She had confirmed in a knowing bros episode that she had done most of her learning in South Korea instead of the states.

It was soon revealed that she had lied, and Stay flamed her on the internet. Right now, the tweet has been removed and Notsokayla is not on any platforms, as her name and face are infamous.

August 9th, 2022 Lesbian scandal Seriousness: 9/10

During her MANIAC promotions, Pixie is a guest MC along with WonYoung. She is seen multiple times flirting with the girl and with the other female idols she interviewed.

Many were angry at her blatant flirtation. Many people saw it as real, and the boycott train was racking up. August 9th, she was officially put on a short hiatus for the next two months, resuming her activities for MAXIDENT performances.

Pixie was allowed to make an official statement, much to JYPE's dismay. And what did she do?

She posted a picture of her on Instagram with a Bisexual flag. She writes in the captions:

Since you guys love to be nosy about what goes on in my personal life, yes I am Bisexual. However, I will not put my life on hold because people can't handle girls flirting with girls. I am NOT in a relationship with WonYoung. I am NOT in a relationship with a female idol. Leave my sexual life private, God damn.

I wish you hadn't found out this way.

August 18th, 2022 House fire incident Seriousness: 10/10

During her hiatus, she had gone home to stay with family. Her friends had stayed with her as well for a few days, just to stay with her family.

While she was gone to pick up her niece, a childhood friend turned Sasaeng had been so jealous she was spending all of her time with her family, he had lit her house on fire, effectively killing her parents and sister in law. The guys were not in the house at the time, which believed to be a good instinct.

The funeral took place after his immediate incarceration(he gave himself up in the name of "love"), and many reporters swarm the chapel to get a glimpse of the idol group that was invited.

Any sane person boycotted the media outlet after the blatant monetization they were trying to make of the situation. JYPE is currently in the middle of suing the outlet for emotional distress.

Now, Fei Bo and Fei Dio live in Seoul in a strict protection order given by JYPE and local enforcement. Pixie refuses to give out any information about her brother's wearabouts, as that what took her parents last time. At this time, they are not on any platform except as a guest in some Pixie instagram posts.

May 5th. 2023 Nudes scandal Seriousness: 6/10

A new soloist by the name of GBam had printed and posted pictures around the JYPE building of her nudes she had when she was 15.

He was apprehended soon after and JYPE had to make a statement, knowing that if any one of the members had made one, they would have to be fired.

Dear Stays,

Soloist GBam is now under custody of posting nude photos of our idol, who was underage at the time. Any person that is found to be in possession of these photographs will be banned from future stray kids concerts and fined a hefty sum.

The man is still a mystery to fans, many speculate it was a jealous ex while the others say it was an anti. Until November of that year, there was no explanation. With her release of her single album, she had confirmed that, yes, it was an ex she had when she was a trainee.

June 20th, 2023 Changbin dating scandal Seriousness: 5/10

During the 5-star dome tour, paparazzi had snuck into the hotel and took pictures of Pixie and Changbin kissing (albeit, passionately) in the safety of the hotel. Many people, instead of being angry at the idols, we're furious with the paparazzi for taking semi-explicit photos of the couple.

Since their dating ban had been lifted two years prior, they had officially announced their three year relationship by June 22nd, 2023. They had wanted to keep it as private as possible but since they announced their relationship, they became one of the most famous power couples.

August 3rd, 2023 Pregnancy rumor #1 Seriousness: 7/10

Pixie had been wearing baggier clothing than what she originally had, and when she did a photoshoot for NIKE, many people could see she had gained a bit of weight. Especially where her uterus was.

Many people speculated she had gotten pregnant due to her relationship. She answered this during a instagram live the next day. She had laughed hysterically, before denying the claims.

"I am on my period, that's why i look more bloated recently. Yall are weird for wanting to have me wear more revealing clothing..." She proceeds to side eye them and end the live.

January 28th, 2024 Pregnancy rumor #2 Seriousness: 4/10

In France, she is photographed with Lisa and a few other female friends, one of which being her backup dancer. In the background, you could see a pregnancy test with a faint 'positive' sign. Because of this, many people were to jump on this.

To respond to this, she took a photo of her doctor's note(only leaving in her name and the results). She had gone to the doctor to get tested for pregnancy. She was not pregnant.

Her comment: yall... it was my backup dancer. She and her husband are expecting a child. That was before we found out she was pregnant, the test shouldn't have been in the frame 😭😭 You guys are so weird😭😭😭

Pixie and Changbin posted a photo together, one that looked awfully like an engagement announcement. (She thought it was funny, getting them all riled up)

While her hands are obscured, many people saw the engagement-looking ring on a cord around her neck.

What is Bubble?

Bubble is a paid app where you receive messages from members of JYPE groups like Stray Kids.

How do you get members’ bubble messages?

FIrst you’ll have to download the app to your phone. Then you select the group and members you want to pay to get messages from. You can change the number of members at any time.

How messaging works

The members send out “texts” in mass, but on the app they appear like private messages between you and the member. You will not see anyone elses response in your chat. During chats you will sometimes get messages with your name in them. this is a function where the member will use a y/n and the app will auto change it to be your name, to make the messages feel more personal

Some more facts about bubble:

as far as I can tell only apple users can screenshot the messages.

the longer you are subscribed to a members bubble the more you can type in a message to them (number of days is posted at the top of your chat)

The members activity on bubble varies a LOT members like Jeongin and Minho post a lot daily, where as Jisung and Changbin really don't post much.

only one device can have the app at a time, if you try to download it onto your phone and an ipad it will make you pay again or sign out of your app on the phone.

there are twitter and tumblr accounts that post translations for members bubbles, these translations are much better than the apps auto translate option

bubble does have translations for the following languages but again the translator is NOT very good so take every post with caution lol

BUBBLE COMMUNITY

Basically Bubble Community is JYPE’s replacement for vlive’s fan section. With Stray Kid’s annual membership you can sync it to bubble and become apart of the community. The members make posts and reply to fans posts (Chris uses community during Channie’s Room instead of youtube’s live chat section)

Here is a thread on how to connect your Membership to your Bubble account to gain access.

BUBBLE GROUP CHAT

There is now a groupchat section where all 8 members can chat live with each other. it works like the regular member chats but all 8 are in it.

If members new posts are not loading you can fix this by going into the settings at the top right and clicking “recall previous conversation” my assumption is this is a glitch and should be fixed but who knows lol

NMIXX ‘O.O’: Ateez, aespa fans call out JYPE for plagiarizing, say 'put some respect'

Previously, Enhypen and Loona fans slammed JYPE for plagiarizing in their new K-pop group's intro teasers

NMIXX was introduced to the world in the most novel way with JYPE launching blind pre-orders without even giving us a sneak-peek of the group and it caused quite a buzz. However, it hasn’t been smooth sailing for them since then. Before their debut, their introductory teasers were slammed by Loona and Enhypen fans for being allegedly similar. It has gotten worse now as Ateez and aespa fans too are calling out JYPE for plagiarizing from their favorites. Previously, JYPE was called out by Monsta X fans for allegedly stealing their logo for their new boy band Xdinary Heroes in November 2021. And now, months later, K-pop Twitter is seeing a similar reaction to the K-pop label’s new girl group. We first had NMIXX’s title track ‘O.O’ being leaked just days before their debut. From the snippet, many pointed out that the song was quite similar to aespa’s ‘Next Level’. JYPE then claimed that ‘O.O’ was a new genre made for the girls called ‘MIXX POP’.

Ateez and aespa fans slam JYPE

However, JYPE’s description of ‘MIXX POP’ is combining two or more genres. This had SM fans clamoring as they pointed out that groups like aespa and NCT have been experimenting with genres and noise music way before NMIXX’s debut or formation. Following that, the day of NMIXX’s debut was marred with much anger as Ateez fans claimed that a majority of NMIXX’s concept, font, titling, props and music video was plagiarized from Ateez’s ‘Illusion’, ‘Inception’, ‘Turbulence’, ‘Real’, VCRs and more. Fans have taken to Twitter to ask JYPE for an explanation as they made side-by-side comparisons of Ateez and NMIXX with uncanny similarities. One Atiny (Ateez’s fandom) tweeted, “ATINYS MAKE SURE TO HYPE THESE # FOR THE ISSUE OUR SHIP HAD BEEN STOLEN WE SHOULD NOT STAY SILENT !!” Another fan posted, “Ateez the blueprint indeed but what the f**k.” With JYPE being part of K-pop’s Big 3 while Ateez and Loona are from small companies, one user was frustrated, “Ateez and loona literally work their asses off in SMALL companies and still manage to have the most unique concepts & carry the fourth gen music wise. put some respect on their work + can't even mention en-, their narrations concepts is also got copied by the one and only jype.”

'No one is attacking NMIXX'

One Atiny pointed out, “Our diary film and concept?? loona & enhypen fans were effected, too jype done messed up they set those girls up :( we need an explanation !” Another posted, “3 months ago they plagiarized MONSTA X logo and now again they plagiarized ATEEZ concept... JYP I'm disappointed in you!!! You are one of big three entertainments but still plagiarized other company's work…” One Atiny explained, “Please have in mind that no one is attacking nmixx, we're only complaining to jype about this matter. Stop twisting our words into something terrible that might start a fws again.”

Fans of K-pop groups that make noise music aka ‘MIXX POP’ shared, “Not jype pretending they made a new genre.... they are making themselves sound like idiots rn…” One MY (aespa’s fandom) tweeted, “Jype trying to make their own aespa but the artists are mis-used god.” Another fan was exasperated, “I blame nmixx and jype for copying multiple groups esp aespa. like if you want to copy something at least make it good??”

One user pointed out, “Nobody want to Hate NMIXX. Show me any hate against girls.we are dragging company and we should. Ateez,enha,loona,aespa are not any big 6 7 yr grp,just they passed the rookie phase.thats why its easy for JYPE to use it.” Another MY said, “Not aespa fault some companies especially jype is shitty at making 'noise' and 'experimental' musics.”

I was watching ikon tv on YouTube again and that made me look at a bunch of old clips from kpop, and I just want to say FUCK THE BIG 3 SO MUCH OR ANY OTHER COMPANY THAT TREATS IDOLS LIKE SHIT

Blatantly favoritism over Twice and Stray Kids, which leads to overworking them, and zero to nonexistent comebacks to got7 and day6 (idk about itzy bc I'm not a fan). For example in 2018, Twice had 6 comebacks (japanese/singles included) and in both 2017/19 they had 5 (japanese/singles included) Stray Kids on the year they debuted, 2018, had 4 and in 2019 they had 5 (japanese/singles included).

This situation got so bad that during a vlive Jeongyeon cried because of how overworked she was. She, Mina and Jisung had to take a break from promotion, I know that those breaks were in different eras but I think that there's a link on why only members of the most overworked groups needed a break.

Also Got7 has like zero promotion, when they had the world tour ahgases were the ones to promote then, because jype didn't bought ads. The boys songs were refused so many times, Mark's schedule were canceled so he couldn't meet his family. They refused to give a solo career to Yugyeom and Mark, when they failed to protect the boys from the sasaengs which lead them moving out so many times and on why Jackson got injured.

Edit: I am more than glad to say that today, 10th of January, all members of Got7 are leaving Jype. #Got7forever💚 I love you boys, thank you for 7 years of happiness, and I'll proudly continue to support all of you

How they forced that visual and hairstyle on Jeongyeon, even tho she didn't wanted it, she said during a vlive that she wanted to grow her hair but the company used to cut shorter everytime. They are extremely strict with the weight and the food, a few artists like Sunmi already said that. Somi has told some stories about how they had to sneak food and hide eating in the bathroom, and when Momo was forced to lose 7kg in seven days only to appear in a showcase.

The famous situation flag situation with Tzuyu. She was 16 when that happened, she introduced herself as Taiwanese and held the Taiwan flag as well. Which lead to many to many chinese users saying she was a pro-independence activist, she was barred from the Chinese television and suspended of all her activities in China. 2 months later, on the day of the election in Taiwan, Jype posted a video of her reading an apology saying that there's only one China and she is extremely proud to be Chinese. She was 16 at the time, and you can see during the video that she is so scared, sad and clearly hesitating on saying what she's reading, the whole video just has this weird, forced vibes. The 3 presidential candidates said that video was too cruel for a 16 year old girl and that she didn't need to apologize.

I will never forgive yg for disbanding 2ne1, for not helping G-Dragon when he was accused of plagiarism and started suffering from depression but had to continue with the promotion. Same thing with Top that was diagnosed with social anxiety and depression, and suffered a overdose because of the marijuana scandal but yg had also nothing to say.

For releasing Hanbin in a DAY because of false accusations, while it took them WEEKS to release s***gri and only after he released a statement saying that he was leaving bigbang. And for not telling the public or for not defending Jennie during that time everyone were saying she was lazy when in fact she had an ankle injury, but still continued the promotions.

Whether we like to admit or not, SM is probably the best company in the kpop history if we're talking about success, they have a formula that works over and over again, it's a pattern, we can especially see it in Suju, Shinee, Exo and Nct. But omg they have zero compassion for their idols.

Starting from the training, we all know the training for the debut is really difficult, but a lot of people say that between all the companies SM is the worst one, they are extremely strictly and controlling , especially the managers who abuse the power. They have this curated-ness that is quite toxic, and leads to an incredibly perfectionistic and controlling management system. Kai used to practice 8 hours a day so that everything was perfect, like surely work it out bc Kai is one of the best dancers in the industry, but still that's a lot of hours you're basically overworking yourself (I think)

As a result, many idols have even more outstandingly brutal beauty standards than there already are in the kpop industry generally. especially intense weight-loss standards, Taeyeon already said this, during the first 5 years of GG she was constantly battling with eating disorders. Baekhyun has this diet where, instead of eating the food he only chews and then spits out, Sehun in 2017 (I think) had this stage on the Exo tour and he said that he spend an entire month on diet, so he could do that stage. Taemin said on a few episodes of Mtopia that he was on a diet, but you can clearly see that he was extremely thin. Also they have a part in their contracts about plastic surgery, you can see that almost every SM artist has done it a double eyelid surgery.

The blatantly favoritism over Korean idols and the mistreats that happens with idols that aren't Korean (especially with they're chinese), as we saw many times already with examples like Tao, Kris, Luhan, Lay, Winwin, Ten and Lucas before they joined WayV. Or favoritism with certain members of groups, like Taeyong in Nct, of course that favoritism is a part of their formula but still pretty fucked up.

They have such a questionable promotion, like I already read once about. They said that SM promotes the new groups so they can form a better fan base and that way no longer will need the promotion, but still this is extremely bad. Like with BoA, Tvxq or Suju who are still relevant but we barely hear news about them because SM doesn't promote then, and I can already see this with Exo especially in their latest comeback.

They manage mental health horrifically. Like with Taeyeon in 2014/15 when a member (bc SM treated Jessica as garbage) of her group had to leave, which lead to the midia saying it was her fault alongside with the hate she received at that time because of her relationship with Baekhyun, that lead to her depression and eating disorders. Same thing happened with Baek, although he didn't receive the same amount of hate, he still had to suffer with his relationship being in the spotlight while 3 members of his group left, because AGAIN SM treated them as fucking garbage.

For stop carrying about f(x), as a result lead to a witch hunt on Victoria saying that it was her fault for that happening, for Sulli who was suffering from a mental illness but never received a break nor the protection from the media that used to say that she was a bad example. For Jonghyun who was also suffering from depression but never got any help or a break.

And our latest examples Irene and Chanyeol. I don't approve Irene's actions, but the fact that the media is so ruthless with her it's ridiculous and even more ridiculous of SM to not defend their idol, especially when there's so many other celebrities that are WAY worse than her. And for Chanyeol, who was accused of cheating on his girlfriend 10 times, but SM had nothing to say or to defend his image. It took the fans for that to happen, the fans were the ones to find out that was a fake and cover up scandal so the news about the government crisis were not to be seen.

They are so bad at dealing with idol apologies, like why did Taeyong in 2016 had to apologize for something he didn’t do, but they never had anyone apologize for their racist or the cultural appropriation that the idols have done many times already in a lot of mvs????

That's why I hate the kpop industry and the media so fucking much, bc they're ruthless and assholes who are putting so much pressure on the idols, who in the end of the day are humans and are deserving of things like love, privacy and a break to take care of themselves. I truly adore kpop and the dramas, but I'd stop watching and listening with all of my heart if it means that they would stop treating humans beings as fucking trash! They deserve so much more!

Hello! I saw one of your recent posts, and I just wanted to send along an edited form of something I’d sent to another Tumblr user to address some of the misinformation surrounding what’s been going on with Hyunjin:

I think the language barrier and Twitter has contributed to a lot of misunderstandings in the international Stay community. Hyunjin’s situation isn’t about a single middle schooler holding a grudge against him - there were multiple independent accusers (I think 4 main, there were several posts), all girls except for one (he definitely went to a co-ed middle school, the all-boys thing is just not true) who accused him of using very hateful, derogatory language along with sustained fighting and such. Hyunjin has personally met with and apologized to at least three of the accusers, leading them to accept his apology and take their posts down. While I think the allegations of “school violence” and “malicious bullying” might be a bit extreme (which is honestly probably why JYPE didn’t immediately kick him out like they have with people in the past), it is apparent that Hyunjin deeply hurt people in the past, and that is a big reason why the issue is as big as it is (yes, most Knets are being hypercritical and harsh to the extreme as usual, but that’s only part of it). This situation has become a big deal in Korea - while JYPE has contributed to that in part with the vague and honestly kind of harsh statements they’ve put out, the fact that the claims seem to have some truth in them (along with Hyunjin’s teacher’s interview - which really backfired) has made this something that is not JYPE’s total fault and an issue that will not go away for a while.

Personally, I still love and support Hyunjin, and I do not think his career/reputation should be wrecked for mistakes he made 6-7 years ago, when he was a kid. At the same time, this situation is much more complicated than I-Stays have been making it out to be, and the misinformation that I-Stays have been spreading on Twitter has actively made the attitude in Korea towards Hyunjin worse.

I’m sorry for the really long response, but I genuinely think that it’s really important for people to learn the facts so that we as a fandom can respond appropriately and help mediate our emotions/stress surrounding all of this.
