yellow clinker bricks on the bay window in combination with a blue-grey façade colour and structured corridor windows create an interesting façade that nevertheless appears simple.

the uni-center in cologne sülz is the defining building for the surrounding districts and an omnipresent landmark when you walk around it. it offers different views at any time of day or night, be it through the colourful awnings or illuminated windows.

das uni-center in köln sülz ist das prägendste Gebäude für die umliegenden stadtviertel und eine omnipräsente wegmarke wenn man drumherum unterwegs ist. zu jeder tages- und nachtzeit bieten sich unterschiedliche ansichten, sei es durch die bunten balkonmarkisen oder erleuchtete fensterfronten.

a simple, beautiful post-war building in cologne's südstadt and although it was only built after the war, the house still bears the hallmarks of the new building style of the 1920s.

mauritiuswall // köln mauritiusviertel

a dream made of concrete, clinker brick and colors. typical for the time and extremely practical are the fixed planters, which are unfortunately often neglected today, but could have so many positive effects for facades and, if planted sensibly, for urban nature.

ein träumchen aus beton, klinker und farben. sehr typisch für die damalige zeit und enorm praktisch, sind die fest angebrachten pflanzkübel. leider sind dieses heutzutage sehr oft vernachlässigt, hätten aber viele positive effekte für fassade und bei sinnhafter bepflanzung für die stadtnatur.

theodor-heuss-ring is full of representative post-war modernist buildings in various styles. most of them are in a very good state of preservation, at least as far as the façades are concerned. so you can always discover beautiful details and designs.

the zoobrücke is a beauty of post-war modernism in cologne. however, the surroundings on the deutz side could certainly be more beautifully designed. at the moment, most of it is just sealed parking space.

and now here is another post-war modern lindenthal corner. this time, the façade design is very simple, but with nicely placed loggias that break up the whole thing and make it look cosy.
