Hey there anon. Kai here.

And anon, man... you funny. Us? Watching an anime to give a proper review? Ha ha ha ha. Funny joke.

Well, joking aside. We won’t be doing a proper review but we will give you a quickie review on this. So... the suppose yandere is named Kaede Fuyou. And well... she’s most certainly a piece of work.

Is she a yandere? The simple answer is no. She’s a yangire... very reminiscent of the girls from Hiragashi.

To break it down, we first point to her initial treatment of the protagonist. According to the wiki, she treated him like absolute shit. She blamed him for her parent’s deaths and practically tortured him. IMO, if I was the protagonist, I would have sent her to a mental hospital at that point. But of course, she’s a kawaii girl. So no jail time for her!

Anyways, after the dumb hoe Kaede figured out that it wasn’t his fault but technically her’s; that is when she started acting like America’s sweetheart towards him as penitence for her earlier actions. If Kaede’s previous abusive actions wasn’t a red flag to anyone, then Kaede’s treatment to the MC out of guilt should be a BIG red flag.

Sure, I’ll give Kaede that she does have romantic feelings for the MC. It’s a harem after all and the anime is based on a dating game (a shit one seeing how Kaede is a love interest lol). And yes, there is a scene in the anime where Kaede snaps at a girl out of jealousy. But the impact of the yandere snap weakens due to Kaede’s previous treatment to the MC and why she treats him so well. We see that the bitch is crazy before hand... not love crazy (*cough* lovesick) but coo coo for cocoa puffs crazy.

Since she isn’t lovesick but she is crazy, the only category she fits is yangire (though “abusive bitch” is high on the list for me lol)
