Yes, of course 👍! Thank you so much for the request! 😊 I really appreciate it! 💕 And apologies for doing this so late, I ended up procrastinating and summer school's been kicking my ass. Anyway, here you go:

Haizaki jerked awake in the middle of the night, little tremors coursing through his body. The shaking turning into heaving sobs. He didn’t notice that Kagami was awake until he was being pulled into his embrace. “Hey, it’s okay, baby,” Kagami soothed softly, rubbing Haizaki’s back and gently kissing away his tears. “You’re safe. You’re not there right now, Shou. Nobody’s gonna hurt you.”

“P—Promise…?” Haizaki whispered quietly, voice shaky as he gripped onto Kagami’s shirt and buried his face into his chest. “…N—No one will.”

Kagami’s heart clenched. “I promise.” He pulled him closer, kissing the top of his head. “Are you okay with going back to sleep?”

“No,” Haizaki said, shaking his head a little. “Don’t think I can. Can we watch cartoons instead?”

‘Cute.’ Kagami smiled. “Okay.” He reached out and turned on the lamp before grabbing the TV remote and turning on the TV. They spent the rest of the night watching cartoons and then sleeping in for the rest of the day.

Everything was okay.

1. It was obvious Kagami had some sort of relationship with Fukuda's ace by how he would get all flustered from the way Haizaki would tease him and the way his eyes always watched Haizaki as if he were clouds drifting in the endless blue sky, completely untouchable.

2. Haizaki Shougo was menacing and mean. He was a delinquent, a bully and every parents' nightmare. He stole, cheated, and was always covered in cuts and bruises; he wore like trophies after every fight.

3. Back when they were in Teiko, Aomine and Haizaki had some sort of a relationship. If you could call being fuck buddies a relationship. Aomine didn’t remember how it started or who started it. Neither did he care. It just felt good having someone like Haizaki withering beneath him.

4. Shadows of the trees mixed into the darkness, their silhouettes against the sky as the moon illuminated the night sky. The stars twinkled brightly while everyone and everything lay asleep in Kanagawa, except for Ryouta, who strolled through the park with the moon guiding him wherever he went. Goosebumps pricking his skin like needles as a cold breeze swayed through the trees. 

5. The prison cell was a hollow cube of concrete, one way in, no windows with a toilet and a rusty sink in the corner. The only sound that could be heard was of the snoring coming from the top bunk while Ran lay on the bottom bunk with his hands behind his head as if he were lounging on the beach soaking in the sun, listening to the snores of his cellmate Jiro Akatsuki, a 27-year-old junkie, who probably passed out from snorting too much cocaine again or-

6. Moonlight glistened through a perfectly squared window with evenly shaped bars, dimly lighting the side of the prison Shougo lay in, staring up at the ceiling blankly.

7. Hiro, had always thought he had a purpose in life.

8. Masaomi stared out of the window, outside a blizzard was raging on. It was so strong the familiar sight of streets had almost been erased. The flakes falling slowly and the air almost still, but so thick it almost obscured his view completely. As he looked upwards. He could almost feel as if he were flying rather than watching the crystals fall like oversized confetti, towards him.  

 

9. If somebody told Masaomi that he would be in this position four months ago, he would not have believed them. Would have laughed in their face. Now, however, after all he’s been through and all the time he’s spent by Aoba’s side, he would not change a thing, nor could he imagine things being any different. 

10. Bodies scattered the ground like flower petals, blood painting the once clean floor crimson. A girl with black hair stood among them with a knife painted in red held in her grasp. Her pale face was splattered in blood, and so was the white dress shirt she wore.

The minute Kagami opens the door. Haizaki wraps his arms around him and buries his face into his neck. Kagami can feel something wet drip onto his skin and Haizaki shaking. He doesn't say anything and wraps his arms around him. They stay like that until Haizaki isn't shaking anymore. "Hey," Kagami says softly, cupping Haizaki's face and kissing away his tears. "Shou. You okay, baby?" 

"M'fine," Kagami knows it's a lie but doesn't say anything and pulls Haizaki inside. He closes the door and gets Haizaki to sit on his couch. 

Kagami goes into his kitchen and comes back minutes later with two steaming cups of hot chocolate and hands a cup to Haizaki before taking a seat next to him. 

Haizaki leans into him and rests his head on his shoulder while Kagami puts on a movie. 

They stay on the couch until Haizaki falls asleep, and Kagami picks him up, taking him to bed. 

He crawls in right next to him, wrapping an arm around him and pulling him close to his chest. 

Kagami kisses the top of his head. "I love you," 

"I love you too," Haizaki mumbles, snuggling closer. 

Haizaki doesn't tell him what happened. He doesn't have to.

It never stopped Kagami from trying to reach him no matter how far he was.

Kuroko once told him getting close to Haizaki was dangerous. He was filled with rage that burned anyone who tried to get close.

Kagami saw what was underneath all that anger. Haizaki wasn't dangerous. He was much more than that.

He had a soft side only Kagami was able to see behind closed doors and after a long day.

Haizaki would always ask Kagami to hold him. To tell him everything was going to be okay and that he wasn't as worthless as his dad made him out to be.

Kagami always obliged, whispering sweet things into his ear and telling him his dad didn't know what he was talking about and that he wasn't worthless.

He was much more than that.

He was Kagami's whole world. His everything. Nothing was going to change that. Ever.

Kagami would kiss the top of his head, whispering: "I love you,"

Haizaki would laugh and call him cheesy before snuggling closer and

falling asleep in his arms.

However���

Some nights were hard.

Haizaki would have nightmares, whimpering and trashing in his sleep as Kagami watched helplessly as he fought off his demons on his own.

Yet, sometimes he couldn't, and Kagami had to wake him up. Then hold him as he sobbed into his chest while Kagami tried his best not to cry too, wishing there was something more that he could do.

Those were the worst nights.

They never went to sleep even though they both knew how early they would have to wake up.

But…

It was all worth it.

The good and the bad.

Because…

Now, they've been together for more than three years.

And…

"Shou," Kagami says, and he's nervous because he doesn't know how this will go.

Haizaki raises an eyebrow. "Ya?"

"Remember when I got really drunk last week? And…" Kagami pauses, taking a deep breath. He avoids the stares he's getting from Kuroko and the others. They're supposed to be lining up and collecting their trophy. Instead, Kagami's standing in front of Haizaki as he continues to speak: "...I asked you to marry me."

Haizaki crosses his arms over his chest, eyebrow still raised. "Ya, why?" he remarks. "You also said you wanted ten kids and a cat."

There's amusement in his eyes because of course Haizaki remembers, and Kagami can feel his face heating up. His heart is beating faster and butterflies are dancing in his stomach just like the first time he told Haizaki he loved him.

"You thought I was joking. And well…" Kagami goes onto one knee, not caring if he was doing this in front of their teammates and Jabberwock. Or if a million people were watching. He pulls out a velvet box (that he's surprised hadn't fallen out of his shorts while playing basketball) and glances into the eyes of the man he fell in love with. He takes another deep breath. "...I wasn't joking. I actually want you to marry me. So…" He opens the box, showing the ring inside. "...Will you marry me, Shou?"

Kagami wants to spend the rest of his life with him.

Haizaki doesn't say anything. Instead, he bends down and wraps his arms around Kagami, burying his face into the crook of his neck.

"Is that a yes?" Kagami asks, bringing his arms around him.

"Ya." Haizaki nods. "It is. Of course, I'll marry you, Taiga."

"I love you." Kagami slips the ring onto his finger.

"I love you too." Haizaki smiles at him and Kagami cups his face, kissing him.

"So…" He presses his forehead against Haizaki's and looks him in the eyes. "...about the kids?"

"We'll adopt one,"

"And a cat?"

"...And a cat,"
