Mainly because I want Kai and Jinora stories but bryke should create a comic series or like mini series through avatar studios where it’s Kai and Jinora going on adventures in places aang used to visit and/or new locations and just exploring the avatar universe cause not only does that give us kai and Jinora back but it also is a great way to expand the world building and lore through a bigger lens then what’s just relevant to current bigger plots and it can just be like a fun little time for everyone and Jinora can explore and learn a bunch of new things like I know she would and kai can get back to his wondering roots and ugh

She would try to impress you with her bending skills

This might just be me descending into oc brainrot again, but I'm becoming a little obsessed with the idea of cultural differences between Republic City Fire Nationals and those from the mainland. Like, hairstyles alone could become such a potential source of confusion. Republic City girls would show up in the Fire Nation capital with their short, stylish pin waves and become the subject of whispers about what they might have done to dishonor themselves. And average Fire Nationals would arrive in downtown Republic City with pristine topknots and get mistaken for military personnel. And it would go so much further than hair. There would be differences in foods, clothing, manners—everything from how to signal an engagement to how to settle a dispute. I imagine there would be so much curiosity (and perhaps a little disdain/paternalism on the part of the mainland Fire Nationals) between the two groups.

iroh: i think a lot of people just give strongest to azula or ozai bc of their feats and power but personally i think it’s iroh because he’s more level headed than azula and more carefree than ozai which i believe is what makes firebending

azula: she’s a beast but by the end of the series and in the comics she’s not the most mentally stable person y’know. we see it all the time in both shows aang got scared he lost the little firebending he has, zuko loses his way, mako is scared and can’t bend with one of his arms, as bad as it is if she doesn’t get better she’s gonna have to face the consequences.

ozai: most of ozai’s feats come from being calculated not his actual abilities and the only people i remember him fighting are actually 13 and 12 so…..

MAKO: WE SEE MAKO DO EVERYTHING IROH CAN DO IN SMALLER FEATS AND SUDDENLY HES THE WORST THERE EVER WAS. in all seriousness makos precision and quick reflexes make him a great bender. also in republic city hustle he’s already mastered lighting bending at 15 making him younger than both ozai and iroh who mastered it as adults and don’t bring up zuko

jinora: her connection to the spirits and mastering airbending at 11 makes her a great airbender

tenzin: molly whooped zaheer

zaheer: got molly whooped by a 50 year old bald man

kai or bumi: they’re fast learners idk

water

katara: katara becomes a master over the course of the year and shows great skill with not only with traditional bending but with healing and blood bending.

ming hua: she has no arms idk what to tell you idk how she does it

tonraq: MOLLY WHOOPED ZAHEER

eska and desna: they’re fast benders and have impeccable battle chemistry that no one can beat

earth(might ruffle some feathers)

toph: created her own bending style and becomes a master at the age of 12. has some intense battle chemistry with everyone from team avatar and has some impressive moments.

lin: was taught by and trained by toph and is an impressive metal bender. she doesn’t have as many impressive moments as everyone else and because of her age and already being a master we don’t really see her grow as a bender but more as a person

kuvira: an immovable object meets an unstoppable force. kuvira is a lot like lin in the sense as her growth is more focused on growing as a person and not on growing as a bender like everyone else her only downside is her lack of care. she sacrifices everything to take over republic city and is her greatest weakness.

bolin: this is what i think will make some people mad. bolin is an entirely self taught lavabender and just like mako his precision and accuracy makes him a great earth bender. Bolin and Mako’s fluid and untraditional styles of bending makes them great benders because everyone else we see are traditionally trained

Cole and Jay were in the middle of training, sparring against one another while Zane was watching from the sidelines. Just as he blocked a punch from the other, the blue ninja saw Kai coming out of the building. Then he gave the master of earth a teasing smirk.

“Check it out, Cole. It’s the cute fire ninja who you drives you crazy~”

Cole turned his head and saw Kai making his way over, a panicked expression on his face as he looked back at the others.

“By driving you crazy, do you mean in the bad way?” Zane asked, genuinely curious. “Or does he drive you crazy in the way that you like him-“

The black ninja slammed his foot into the ground, pieces of the earth shooting up from underneath the pairs’ feet and launching them into the air. He then spun around just as the red ninja finally reached where he was standing.

“O-Oh, hey, Kai.” he greeted as he tried to calm down the light blush that came up on his cheeks, grinning nervously. He mentally hoped the other didn’t hear what was said.

Behind him, Zane landed safely on his feet while Jay face-planted into the ground.

Kai is absolutely my favourite character in legend of korra, and there’s a lot of reasons for that, but I think one reason that I can’t help but feel is that kai somewhat feels like an avatar the last airbender character?

Don’t get me wrong, I try not to compare the two shows. There different and there allowed to be. But even from when kai was first introduced her very much so felt like ATLA. This fun kid who obviously had no respect for authority. Something we missed out on a lot in LOK was the characters traveling and exploring in the same way they did in ATLA (again no problem with this it’s a different show that’s okay) but kai, since he wasn’t from republic city, and for other reasons I can’t seem to put my finger on, seemed very “original atla” to me. Like you could stick him in the other show and he would actually fit in to his surroundings. (not that they should, stay with jinora BB)

Maybe it’s cause he’s based off aang and jet? But there’s lot of characters in LOK based on other characters in ATLA. I don’t know man, kai just makes me feel like I’m watching a character from ATLA, in LOK. Despite the fact he is strictly legend of korra.

I have a silly crossover idea

First, you know Avatar? The anime, not the movies with the blue people. If you don't, go look it up, I'm not explaining it. If you do, great.

Second, you know Ninjago?

So that I have an excuse to base this AU in the same universe as ATLA and ATLOK, but still have it be quite unique, I've decided that this new story takes place several million years later, in which time different ages have risen and fallen, technologies have been discovered and forgotten, and races (sentient species) have been born and have died.

Four individuals are brought together by the spirit of the previous Avatar. Two Firebenders (one of which primarily uses Lightningbending), an Earthbender, and a Waterbender (who primarily uses Icebending). This spirit, known as Wu, needs their help finding the new Avatar, because something spoopy is happening that is keeping his aura hidden or whatever. In reality, this is because his father is this really evil guy, idk.

Also, it's gonna have Bruise and Oppo :3
