Doll house photos under the read more

Alright so I haven’t had time to buy contact paper for the flooring, or figure out wallpaper, or even finish decorating some of these rooms but here’s the current progress!

First up, Kits room! Kit, Ruthie and Sterling (played by Eli) are plotting their next adventure!

Below that we have Samantha’s room, where Rebecca is also hanging out! I got Samantha’s bed, nightstand and Clara (plus the dress that Nellie is in) from a really great Facebook marketplace find! Also I wanted Rebecca’s menorah to be on display until I have the space for a room specifically for Rebecca!

Next up we have the parlor! At the moment it’s Elizabeth and Felicity taking tea in there (with Lydia serving tea) but I plan to switch between it being for Elizabeth and Felicity, Caroline and Lydia, & Cecile and Marie-Grace! So my goal is to try and get the back walls looking similar to Caroline’s parlor! Also I don’t know if I’ve properly introduced Lydia because I got her in the same week as Lindsey and Emily (I didn’t intend to buy 3 dolls that week lol), but this is my gorgeous truly me #21 that I found for pretty cheap on Mercari about a month or 2 ago.

Then on the other bookcase we have Courtney’s bedroom! I plan to move the shelf above this up to give it a higher ceiling and set out more of Courtney’s sleepover stuff but for now her and Abby are enjoying just hanging out!

Above that we have the game room, which currently only has my GOTY’s on display. Joss and Corrine are in a heated game of air hockey, while Kailey and Lindsey are on the computer. I was shocked to see the twin’s computer at the benefit sale this past year and I’m soooo glad I picked it up!

Then finally we have the room that I plan to change out for different scenes. Right now it’s a camping scene. Originally it just had Nicki, Mia and Sprocket, but my mom was like “you should add Luciana and her telescope!” So now Luci is third wheeling Mia and Nicki’s camping date 😂 (did I mention my Nicki and Mia are dating? Bc they’re dating)

I can’t wait to figure out wallpaper and flooring but that’ll probably take a few weeks since I know I’m traveling next weekend, and then pride is the weekend after that. (Yes I know it’s October but they wait til it’s cooler out where I live bc it’s unsafe to hold pride in the middle of summer bc of the heat). But hopefully I’ll have some wallpaper and flooring done by Halloween!

I am returning to my tumblr account for the sake of doll content tbh.

So I'm sharing that yesterday I got a package with these lovely ladies in it.

I have Blaire's book from the thrift so I'm glad to have her to hold in person, too. She came wearing Mia's practice outfit, the seller said it only came with the shirt and pants but she included the entire outfit minus the headband! I was so excited to see that. She's in such beautiful condition, and she looks kind of like me right now, so I've been staring at her with every waking moment since I opened the box. I'm obsessed.

Kailey came in her meet dress which makes me so excited. I've wanted her since I was a kid, and I no longer have my childhood collection, so I'm so excited to have two of my dream GOTYs before I got into AG back then (her and Marisol). Her legs are very loose so I may try to retighten limbs for the first time with her. It took a lot of trial and error to get her to stand up on her own like that, with the aid of Samantha's shoes. The meet hairstyle being in tact is my favourite part of her right now I think.

That makes 7 American Girl dolls now! I am absolutely in doll jail after this but I think they're worth it<3

I got a 24 overall on the ACT!! Honestly surprising, I thought I blew it. My disability accommodations were denied, and there were multiple instances I was just bubbling at random. I’m happy with my score, but I’m retaking in December to see if I can get anything higher!! And hopefully I’ll have accommodations!!

Doll Lot Haul!

I bought an AG lot off facebook marketplace and wanted to share what I got!

First up, the two dolls! They aren’t in perfect condition but I think they can be recovered. on the left is a JLY 24 and the right is GOTY Kailey Hopkins. Kailey’s head and legs have turned bright orange, and one arm was hot glued by the former owner. She will be getting a trip to the doll hospital. the 24 has stained arms and a haircut, which aren’t too hard to fix.

A bonus item that came with the lot was this doll carrier backpack! I wasn’t expecting to like it so much, but I think it’s so fun! In person it’s even more purple and sparkly, plus there’s a matching doll sized one.

A few of my fav outfits!

the garden party outfit, as modelled by Veronica! It didn’t have the accessories, but did come with two pairs of shoes. I added matching hair clips.

Kailey’s Wetsuit and Bikini! the wetsuit has a lot of pilling but the Bikini is in perfect condition. the water shoes are so cute.

the Radiant Rhinestones outfit/Holiday 2003 outfit is the culprit of all the stains on JLY 24’s arms. It’s really beautiful but I’ll have to be careful having dolls wear it.

The Beachside Outfit is really cute! I love the nautical colours and details.

There were a bunch more JLY outfits in the lot but I tried to keep the post short! There’s also few more Kailey items (meet outfit, boogie board, etc). After the hospital trip/home repair, I plan to sell both dolls.

I found some American Girl clothing at Tuesday Morning yesterday and bought Joss’ jacket and wetsuit for Kailey!!! I know I already have Kailey’s wetsuit but this just suits her so well!

For some reason, blue just works really well on Kailey.

Merry Christmas Eve!

Ruthie, Kit and Sterling (played by my newest doll, Eli) are all dressed up to celebrate Christmas at the Kittredge house.

Under the tree, Elizabeth is all dressed up for the ball, Charlotte is looking nice in her Christmas outfit and Molly and Mia (playing Emily at the moment) are ready for the Miss Victory pageant.

Nicki and Kailey are excited for snow and Caroline is looking gorgeous in her winter dress.

Alyssa can’t wait to go ice skating, Luciana loves her R2-D2 Christmas sweater, and Amara looks adorably festive.

there is the famous Grandmary/Marie-Grace theory and also the Maryellen/Courtney's mom theory, But what if Julie was Kailey's mom?

Oh ho! There is one i've never thought of before! I always kind of forget about Kailey. The pair do look very very similar, to the point where alot of people like to say that AG just recycled Kailey's design for Julie (which may be true) But the timeline does match up for this one too! Kailey was GOTY in 2003 meaning that she was born in 1993. The AG wiki says Julie was born in 1966 so that would place her at 27 years old at that time. And they both live in california! Great catch!

Would I Be Friends With Them As A Kid? GOTY edition

Would I be friends with Kailey Hopkins? No. I can’t swim. I hate water. And beaches. And water shaped things.

Would I be friends with Jess McConnell? Yes. We’d probably meet at online school and stay friends until adulthood or untimely demise. I’d annoy her with history trivia.

Would I be friends with Marisol Luna? Yes. She’d take pity on my disabled self in dance classes and be my partner when no one else would want to be near me. We’d practice after dance class and listen to early 2000s pop.

Would I be friends with Mia St. Clair? Yes. We are both neurodivergent and take revenge on bullies. Mia is a certified weird kid and so was I.

Would I be friends with…

Gwen Thompson? Yes. Absolutely. We would both be blue collar weird kids who liked crafts and hated talking. I also played the violin and piano as a kid.

Chrissa Maxwell? No. She’d probably baby me due to my disability. She’d think we were friends, but I’d be running around the classroom trying to get away from her abled savior grasp.

Sonali Matthews? NO. She may have a character arc and stop being a bully, but I’d still be afraid of her.

Would I be friends with Grace Thomas? No. I have celiac.
