EDIT: this is talking about post kh3 xion, now that she has her own body :)
Because of my own personal hc on how Xion looks, thought id ask;
Ill let this one play out longer, but I'd love to hear everyone's take. Doesn't have to be strictly about canon this is about fun hcs.
(personally, id think it'd be neat if she evolved from looking like Kairi to similar to Sora over time, and retained some kind of minor shapeshifting and make others perceive her how she wants. And fun-house mirroring/uncannily mimicking the heart hotel as a close sign of affection in private.)
Going back through her memories was dreamlike, in a way. Kairi wouldn't pretend to understand the science of it; they'd put their trust in the scientists at Radiant Garden, heedless of Riku's unvoiced resistance to the idea that she knew was there—they both wanted Sora back more than they wanted anything else, so why would he actually try to stop her? It's not like Kairi would have listened; they were tired of being coddled and treated as delicate. They could make their own choices, and this was one of those choices. Luckily that argument never had to be made.
Maybe memories were just dreams. It didn't seem like there was a strong line between the two, her awareness dazed and dreamlike as she relived the past and—
This wasn't the past. This wasn't a memory. They had no recollection of this place, no strange twinge of familiarity. In the waking world, back in the laboratory, her eyes moved behind closed eyelids. This was normal. So, too, were all the readings on all the machines Kairi was hooked up to. Nothing changed, nothing shifted from acceptable, so no one noticed.
Dark wood. Colorful windows. Large gears. Was this a clock tower? The steady second-by-second ticking of the gears filled the silence around them, although the silence didn't say silent for very long. Kairi became acutely aware of a presence—it was a skill she hadn't perfected yet, one she didn't quite understand, but it was useful nonetheless. She spun, facing the direction the presence felt like they were in. "Who's there?" they called, sounding confident despite the way their awareness of the presence nagged. It felt... familiar? Maybe not familiar, but similar? Warmth. A flash of an easygoing smile. Kairi blinked those errant thoughts away.
Revisited an old concept (seen here) of drawing Kairi as a magical girl/fantasy warrior. While working on another piece, I decided to spice things up by doing outfits for Naminé and Xion. Not quite happy with the final designs/colour coding tho. Also gave up on the weapons/final checks
