im making that fanfic cliche post into a headcanon ememe. youve been mememed: any/all permutations of kakayamgai get locked in a very small closet. they dont want to break the door. who does what

space is Extremely tight, mainly because of gai taking up all the space. kakashi makes him sit down so he can try fiddling with the lock, yamato gets annoyed that he doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing and tries to also start fiddling with the lock

they end up smashing their heads (and mouths. boy that’s embarrassing) together and falling over directly into gai’s lap - yamato, face first and kakashi in some kind of really awkward straddling position and it gets kinda heated for a minute; they’re trying to get untangled but somehow they just end up getting into even more awkward knots (kakashi *totally accidentally* kisses gai in the process of trying to get his legs off him

eventually they give up & just snuggle together in a heap bc it’s pretty cold in that closet?? they stay there for about an hour before yamato finally remembers that hey, he has a wooden key jutsu that could’ve gotten them out of there in five minutes

obvisosuly gai puts an emoji next 2 kaka & yam's names in his contacts... he has a photo of all of them as his bg also. kakashi has a character from the icha-icha movie. yamato doesn't know how to work a phone

gai starts group texts... kakashi complains bc he adds Other People (like team gai) to the texts sometimes and forgets to remove them so they see very private texts

okay so the kyg house.. has two beds one of them is Big and can fit three full-grown adults on it and the other one is kakashi's bed (bc sleeping w/ other people isn't something he likes doing all the time; prolonged physical contact can be really :/ for him). generally the Big bed is yamato & gai cuddling a lot + kakashi's dogs sprawling over the remaining space
