Hiya! I started listening to the Lost Terminal because you mentioned it on here. I'm a few seasons in and really loving it. My friend is looking for some new narrative pods and I know you listen to a bunch. Got any suggestions? They can be finished or ongoing.
Oh do I! Have a couple, in alphabetical order:
Absolutely No Adventures - An outright pratchettesque fantasy parody about a (very) Chosen One who has studied the art of baking instead heeding the call to adventure and refuses to go on any quests.
Care and Feeding of Werewolves - A (in-universe) podcast addressing current events and issues in the (American) paranormal community, hosted by a witch and medical practitioner. Has very good plot and worldbuilding.
Folxlore - Queer horror podcast set in Glasgow. Excellent show. "This apartment complex is very haunted, extremely cursed, and it sometimes randomly shifts to an eldritch nightmare realm. Everyone here's queer though, including the building itself. 4 stars out of 5."
Gabriela & The Inn Between - A recent botany undergrad takes a job as Innkeeper at an inn with very strange and unusual guests. Cozy and low-stakes.
Gastronaut - Set a couple hundred years from now, a food journalist travels from Earth, then Mars, then a distant space colony. He's pathetic but in a good way. Excellent food descriptions, nice anti-capitalistic and anti-colonialist themes. Higher stakes and fewer steaks than expected.
Ghost Wax - I've always disagreed with the idea that necromancers are always evil. This show agrees - it's a horror podcast about an ancient necromancer solving supernatural murders by interviewing the victims. Very thrilling. Many feels.
Icarus Rising - Queer airship pirates! Stow-aways! Rebellion! Chases and Thrills! High-stakes drama and action among the clouds! An adorable ship cat!
Kalila Stormfire's Economical Magick Services - Very cool story about witches, fairies, werewolves, and more, a story about what makes a community, about modern-day working class neighborhoods, psychology, love, and of course magic.
Parkdale Haunt - This one I haven't listened to yet, but I've heard very good things about it. It's a horror show about a haunted house, set in Toronto, made with love for that city. Disregard this suggestion if you don't like Toronto, I've never been.
SCP: Find Us Alive - A podcast set in the SCP universe, about a site getting sucked into some sort of pocket dimension that keeps resetting in a sort of time loop. Very interesting cast of characters. Requires minimal knowledge about how the SCP Foundation works.
Starfall - Fantasy audio drama about the adventures of a theatre troupe that uses magical items and illusions in their work, and about a young warrior with mysterious powers who joins them.
Tell No Tales - Horror story about a company that specialises in removing ghosts from haunted places. The protagonist quickly becomes concerned about the ethics of that and tries to prove that they need to start treating spirits with the humanity they deserve.
The Antique Shop - Urban Fantasy drama about a student getting a job at the kind of antiques shop that you only find when you need to. Lots of cursed items. An excellent cat. Queerplatonic relationships.
The Mistholme Museum of Mystery, Morbidity, and Mortality - An AI audio tour guide shows you various interesting exhibits and learns how to be a person. There's lots of feelings here.
The Strange Case of Starship Iris - Sci-Fi story set in the aftermath of a war between Earth and extraterrestrials. It's about outer space, survival, espionage, resistance, identity, friendship, found family, romance, and secrets. The intro song is excellent.
The Tower - A young woman climbs an ancient, unfathomably tall tower from a forgotten age. It stretches up into the sky, through the smog and the clouds. Very vibes.
The White Vault - Travel Is Not Advised. Very scary story about what's been hiding below the ice and the stone. What's been slumbering for ages. What's now beginning to wake anew.
I hope this selection helps! I have more, but I felt it would be better to keep the list short-ish.

Magical cats for this round!
"If Salem from Sabrina had a baby with Q from Star Trek. He’s also a tech mage and has his own spin off series called ASK ELDRITCH." (Eldritch)
"Adopted pet of the main character, loved enough by her owner that he forms a magical bond across the country with her, has original cat voice acting, a very good kitty" (Soap)

Podcasts you can Read
Looking through the podcasts in my subscription feed as well as ones I hear about most often to see if they have a transcript, how easy is it to find and access, and is it free (PS: if your transcript is behind a paywall, you’re the worst) All the transcript pages are hyperlinked to the podcast name if it exists and there is a collective location. The order is just the order in which I have listened to them recently, I’m just going through my podcast feed.  The access ranking has no reflection on the podcast, just how easy it was for me to find the transcript on the computer.
***I’m about to finish the semester, so I’m going to go through this list and revamp the criteria and also write up a google doc with the more organized list***
**This Is an Incomplete list of just the podcasts I have listened to, feel free to add your own or request me to do so through this form

The dude from Scottish Pod and What’s the Frequency showed up on Kalila’s as Clarence! I didn’t even recognize him the first time. He’s distinctive but he’s got RANGE.

Holy shit, the reveal at the end of the latest episode of Kalila Stormfire's Economical Magic Services. Everyone go listen to it right now. I starts off slow, but it picks up, gets more intereating as it goes along, and now that we know who's messing with Kalila's business, pretty much everything has taken on a new level of interesting.
(Fans of The Bright Sessions will likely be interested.)

Greater Boston (genre-bending comedy-drama and also my favorite podcast, ensemble cast where two of the main leads are wives who get embroiled in a bizarre political battle over the future of Boston’s subway system)
Within the Wires (experimental alt-history found footage scifi, seasons 1 and 2 have wlw leads)

The Bridge (atmospheric & spooky, employees of a watchtower along a disused bridge spanning the Atlantic Ocean tell stories of its heyday and collapse, & deal with local monsters, monster hunters, and rival secret societies)
Arden (comedic “true crime” podcast, except the crime is Romeo and Juliet, and the hosts are wlw Beatrice and Benedick from Much Ado About Nothing)
Alice Isn’t Dead (lesbian weird horror Americana road trip)
Wooden Overcoats (sitcom about rival funeral homes on a tiny British island, one of the main characters is a bi woman)
The Far Meridian (dreamy, bittersweet magical realism about a woman who goes searching for her missing brother when the lighthouse she lives in starts magically appearing in new places every day)
Archive 81 (phenomenal found-footage-ish horror with a lesbian deuteragonist in the first season)

The Blood Crow Stories (very queer, very anyone-can-die horror anthology)

do you know of any fiction podcasts about superheroes/people with superpowers? (because I'm just curious if they exist and if you could recommend any)
oh, i’ve definitely seen some, but I don’t follow any so i can’t give a lot of recommendations. I do have a few, though!
CARAVAN is probably the closest to what you’re looking to. it’s got vampires, demons, and gunslingers and the main character has the power to absorb anyone else’s power! The premise is that basically everyone who falls into this canyon becomes somewhat inhuman, and they’re all trying to fight the demon overlords & etc to escape and be able to live in whats essentially just our world
Project STELLAR does have humans with powers, but focuses more on these two siblings realizing how many aliens live among their town (in a good way!) and being sort of invited into that community. there’s also a men in black group because of COURSE there is. (thats where most of the kids with powers come from. no, this is not a good thing)
Genesis Avalon, a magical girl podcast focused around arthurian myth & egyptian mythology. if i remember right its a little christian at the beginning but it does get better. It’s a completed series with 50 episodes and oh, hey! looks like it has a sequel series called Genesis Avalon: Patriot that started this year!
Inn Between is a podcast that’s essentially just... the inn visits during quests. There’s still a really cool plot, though, and we do see some action as well as watch the characters develop their magic & etc. it also had a crossover with a podcast called The Beacon, which I haven’t watched, but seems to be pretty typical hero stuff, what with each character having a secret identity & a power. Unsure what the plot is, though
Kalila Stormfire’s Economical Magical Services is about a witch trying to develop a business with her craft despite not being in a coven. She has to deal with sabotage of her own business and, later, help save her city from an increasingly divided population of fae and humans. The magic is a lot more about wellness and self reflection than action, but her neighbor’s dog gets turned into a lizard by an angry witch in the first few eps, so there is that!
Oh!! And Love & Luck is a podcast thats told through the voicemails of a mlm couple learning they have luck based magic, and trying to use it to make a safe space in their community & etc. It’s on hiatus because of the state of the world, though I know the company has a few other ongoing podcasts. I think one is supernatural sex advice? That’s probably not what you’re asking for, though

have yall podcast peoples listened to kalila stormfires economical magick services? i now have and its so fucking good yall.
essentially, it is an audio drama that explores mental illness, trauma, and psychological distress in general through the lens of modern witchcraft. and it does so while being respectful to the actual experience and not discrediting the importance of traditional medicine.
basically, a young woman who is trained in witchcraft is trying to start a business for freelance magical services. she used to be part of the coven in the area, but recently was kicked out, for reasons which are unclear. she tries to rebuild her reputation, but encounters problems from a mysterious source.
in seasons 2 and 3, the scope of the story broadens to address other issues relevant to us, and it does so really well. its so good check it out yall

IDK if you'll appreciate this, but I read your post about following some new-age witchy blogs while listening to Kalila Stormfire's Economic Magical Services which is about a world that has witchcraft & fae in it and where the titular witch Kalila is trying to set up her own independent witchy business. I really enjoyed it and thought you might too! Hope this wasn't too forward. (and since I'm doing this recommending thing anyway, you might enjoy Unwell - A Midwestern Gothic Horror Story too)
Is that a podcast or an audiobook? It sounds cool!

Oh yeah writing in a more episodic manner can be really tough to adjust to. You have to sort of re-think the pacing of your larger, overarching plot to make room for a bunch of smaller mini-plots inside it. I think it helps to try and approach each episode as, maybe, 'which aspect of the world/story/characters do I want to highlight and explore for this brief amount of time?' and/or 'what sort of theme/message/idea do I want to emphasize and explore'. If that helps?
I’ve been thinking about this a while and I actually want specifically to avoid this tactic, but for a specific reason. The narrative project I’m working on, codenamed Dramagic for Dramatic Magic, is a podcast. I’ve been listening to a fair amount of narrative podcasts to try and get a grip on what works for me and what doesn’t. Mostly, I’m learning what doesn’t work for me with each podcast I try.
the pertinent example here is that I tried kalila stormfire's economical magick services, and while I’m sure it’s a great show, two things totally threw me off. first, the narrator’s tempo was too slow for me in a way that honestly drove me up the wall. but more importantly, the format episode to episode was in part based on specific magical concepts. a problem is introduced, it’s explained, and we see how the narrator handles it.
this ends up, to me, feeling very very un-naturalistic, and unless I’m going for a very specific framing device, I tend to aim for naturalistic.
what I’m hoping to do, should I ever solve this mystery for myself, is to create a story in which different levels of plot happen, but it’s all character driven and the audience is never infodumped. I’m of course guilty of sometimes leaning into exposition when needed-- The Eurydice Suite had an entire chapter of exposition solely so I could subvert the exposition and show how everything goes wrong.
I want a story where characters operate in A Society in an internally logical way, and the audience is clued into the mechanics of the world ambiently over time.
... i’ve been thinking about this a lot

I don't think I've seen you post about these podcasts which are probably right up your street. How I Died, coroner who can talk to ghosts similar vibe to Death by Dying but not as many WTNV vibes. Kalila Stormfires Economical Magical Services, magical bright sessions.
I haven't listened to those but I found them on my podcast app and based on the descriptions sound amazing!! Thank you @azaanameanrlyth I'm gonna listen to those as soon as I can!!
