Little ones: Demon Slayer (KNY) x The Hobbit crossover part 1. (Elfling Younger Kamado siblings AU)

What if the four younger Kamado siblings were reborn in Middle Earth?

After Muzan k!||ed them and their mother the Valar decided to give them a second chance at life in Middle Earth as elflings. Join Takeo, Hanako, Shigeru, and Rokuta as they travel through Middle Earth.

The four children felt warmth, instead of the coldness of winter they felt summer warmth.

The oldest of the children a boy opened his eyes, he saw that everything looked different, the smell of coal and his mothers or older sisters cooking wasn’t in the air but the smell of chicken and freshly baked goods was in the air and he saw he was in front of a strange looking house built into a hill with a tree on top and he saw that he was in a garden “I hope we’re not trespassing on someone’s property.” The 10 year old whispered to himself.

Looking around more he looked down and saw his three younger siblings asleep but they were different, their hair and skin color looked the same but their hair was longer.

Hanako’s shoulder length hair was now down to her thighs, Shigeru’s buzz cut hair was now up to his waist and little Rokuta’s bowl cut hair was now at his shoulders.

Takeo ran his fingers through his fluffy spiked hair to feel that it was long as well and reached his waist but what shocked him most was that they now had pointed ears making him gasp “Onii Chan Takeo?” Hanako spoked gently rubbing her eyes that still looked the same magenta color “What happened?” Shigeru asked rubbing his eyes to reveal his own magenta orbs “Nee Chan Nezuko?” Little Rokuta asked as he got up and began looking around looking like he was about to cry as nothing looked familiar “Don’t cry Rokuta.” Takeo said as he, Hanako and Shigeru attempted to comfort him until the sounds of a gasp was heard making the three preteens look up to see a man with curly hair and what appeared to be big hairy feet “Sorry if we’re trespassing sir.” Takeo said politely bowing his head to apologize “Um n…No, no one’s trespassing but, where did you all come from?” The man asked looking at the children in shock and awe.

Bilbo’s day couldn’t have been more weirder.

First he met a wizard who was looking to share an adventure and knows his deceased mother and now he finds four young elflings in his garden and the little one he assumes is the youngest was crying.

He walked over to the children and looked down at the little boy “Is he alright? Where are your parents?” He asked the children “Our parents are dead sir, and we don’t know where we even are.” The oldest boy said saddening Bilbo ‘poor things.’ He thought to himself until growling was heard and the younger preteen’s blushed “Let’s get some food in you.” He said “Thank you Mr.” Takeo said with a smile making Bilbo realize that he didn’t introduced himself “Oh Baggins, Bilbo Baggins. And you’re in the Shire, a village in Middle Earth.” He said making the three older children freeze “I don’t think we’re in Japan anymore guys.” Shigeru said holding Rokuta’s hand who is now looking at a butterfly on a tulip “Well I’m Takeo Kamado! These are my brothers and sister.” Takeo started off “I’m Hanako Kamado.” Hanako spoke next “Shigeru Kamado! And this is Rokuta, he’s the youngest.” Shigeru spoke last.

Bilbo couldn’t help but frown from their names and their attire that was dirtied and torn and they were also barefooted “Let’s get all of you cleaned up and feed.” he said gesturing to his home “You have a lovely home and Garden Baggins San.” Hanako said in awe of her new surroundings making the hobbit smile “Thank you Hanako.” Bilbo said opening the round green door and allowing the children in then escorted them to the bathroom “You all can wash up first.” He said as the children wiped their feet on the door mat “Ok.” The three older elflings said as they made their way to the bathroom with Rokuta in Takeo’s arms “I’ll bath Rokuta first, Shigeru goes next, then Hanako then me.” Takeo said so his sister and brother don’t fight “Ok onii Chan.” They said as Takeo gave them a stern look like their mother use to give them when they had a disagreement.

While the children took turns bathing Bilbo was in the kitchen preparing for second breakfast while lost in thought “Who would leave four young elflings alone in the Shire, in their state and barefooted?” He asked himself until he saw that he didn’t have stuff for tonight’s dinner “Oh well After luncheon I’ll go into town with them.” The hobbit said as he took out some Oatmeal with orange juice then he heard the oldest elfling Takeo calling one of his siblings to let them know it’s their turn “Shigeru it’s your turn.” Takeo said walking out of the bathroom with little Rokuta in his arms squeaky clean “Ok.” The youngest preteen said walking past his brothers into the bathroom.

In the kitchen Bilbo realized he forgot to take out clothes for the children then ran to get the clothes that he didn’t wore anymore and some of his old baby clothes from the trunk in his parents room then went to give them to Takeo “Here are some clothes, I hope they’ll fit.” The Hobbit said with a smile “Thank you Baggins San.” Takeo said taking the clothes and placing them on the chair “I have to ask them what San means when I get the chance, maybe it’s a polite way to address someone where they’re from.” The hobbit told himself .

After all the children are cleaned and dressed they are all sitting in the dining room eating a second breakfast of oatmeal with orange juice then after eating the older children washed the dishes with Takeo washing, Hanako drying and Shigeru putting away while little Rokuta watched “You didn’t have to do the dishes children but, Thank you.” Bilbo said glad that the children had manners “Your welcome Baggins San.” Takeo said giving Hanako the last washed plate to dry then she gave it to Shigeru to put away.

After second breakfast Bilbo told the children that he was going to the market real quick to buy stuff for tonight’s supper “You four are alright being alone for a bit?” he asked the children “Of course Baggins San, I’ve watched Hanako!Shigeru! And Rokuta plenty of times.” Takeo said “Alright, I’ll be back.” The Hobbit said grabbing a blue waist coat and basket then walked out the round green door.

Once the Hobbit left the older elflings did some cleaning, they dusted every surface, Hanako swept the carpet, Shigeru whipped down the picture frames and Takeo whipped down the furniture then together they washed the hardwood floor with rags.

When Bilbo came home he was surprised to see his house freshly clean “Welcome Home Baggins San.” The children said from his couch while reading his now dusted off books making him smile “Thank you children.” He said taking his basket to the kitchen.

Later that night:

The children helped set up the table while Bilbo placed fish on plates, once everyone is sitting Hanako tucked a napkin into Rokuta’s shirt “Thank you for the food.” The children chanted happily with their hands clasped and Bilbo smiling at his unexpected but beloved guest who began squeezing some lemon on their fish with Takeo helping Rokuta cut up his fish into bite size pieces when the door bell rang just as they are about to dig in “Are you expecting anyone Bilbo Sama?” Shigeru asked as his siblings looked at the door “I don’t think so.” Bilbo said getting up “Stay here.” He said walking to the door, as the children sat waiting for Bilbo they are surprised to hear a deep voice say “Dwalin, at your service.” The Dwalin person said then he entered the hole and began asking Bilbo where the food was then he walked into the kitchen to see the elflings looking at him in shock and awe because he was huge “Dwalin, at your service little ones.” He told the elflings with a bow who all smiled and bowed back “Hello Dwalin San! I’m Takeo, these are my siblings Hanako, Shigeru and Rokuta.” The oldest elfling said introducing himself and his siblings as the man sat down and began eating the fish Bilbo made “This good, there anymore?” He asked as he ate the head “What? Oh yes.” Bilbo went to retrieve a basket of Biscuits Hanako helped him bake and held it up to Dwalin who began stuffing his mouth with them as Bilbo took one for himself “It’s just um, I wasn’t expecting any company.” Bilbo didn’t get to finish what he is about to say when the Door bell rang “That be the door.” Dwalin said.

Bilbo with the elfings in toe went to open the door to reveal a short elderly man “Balin, at your service.” He said politely “Good evening sir.” Takeo said back politely “Yes, yes it is though I think it might rain later.” He said until he saw Dwalin “Evening Brother.” He said walking over to the younger dwarf “By my beard, you are wider and shorter than last we met.” Dwalin said “Wider not shorter.” Balin said as they put their arms on each other’s shoulders and to Bilbo’s horror but the elfings amazement head butted each other.

After the heartwarming reunion the two dwarves began to raid Bilbo’s pantry while talking but Bilbo was trying to speak to them “Poor Biwbo Sama.” Rokuta said sitting on one of the chairs “Yeah, If mom was here she would have the situation under control.” Shigeru said as Hanako did his hair in a ponytail “Hanako Nee chan how do You, Nezuko Nee chan, mom and Dad live with long hair?” He asked as Hanako put a hair tie in “I don’t know, I guess it’s easy for us.” She answered until a knock was heard “Who do you think it is this time?” Takeo asked seeing Bilbo going to the door with him and his three younger siblings following behind to see two more men, one with blond hair and a matching beard the other had dark hair and stubble “Fili.” The blond said “And Kili.” The dark haired one said next “At your service.” They said together “They must be brothers.” Hanako whispered to Shigeru with Rokuta in her arms “You must be Mr Boggins.” Kili said but Bilbo didn’t want anymore people in his hole “Nope you can’t come in.” Bilbo said but Kili wedged his foot into the door and asked if something was canceled confusing Bilbo, then the two men came in tracking mud onto the carpet with Kili scraping his boot on a box “That’s my mother’s glory box, can you not do that.” He said until Dwalin came out and asked them to help move stuff “This is going to be a long night.” Takeo said to his siblings as another knock was heard and Bilbo had finally snapped “No, theirs nobody home. Go away and bother somebody else there are far too many dwarves in my dining room as it is. If this is some clot heads idea of a joke haha I can only say it is in very poor taste.” As Bilbo opened the door during his rant an avalanche of dwarves fell at his feet and a tall wizard is standing behind them “Gandalf.” Bilbo said in pure rage “Bilbo Sama doesn’t look too happy.” Hanako whispered as Takeo and Shigeru nodded in agreement.

I finally finished the first chapter I’m making this a series. What do you think.

Another AU idea about a dead Kamado sibling surviving but what if only Nezuko and Rokuta survived Muzan's attack?

Rokuta is still human while Nezuko is both a demon and a demon slayer and she has to take care of and carry Rokuta on her back because he's just a toddler. Nezuko has to walk in the day covered in lots of clothing because Rokuta is too small to carry her, Rokuta mainly helps in communicating to people because Nezuko is still mostly mute in the beginning until Swordsmith arc and even then she could only speak rudimentarily.

It'd be interesting to know how you think the general story of the manga plays out in this AU because it's basically KNY: Hard Mode.

Anon, this is... did you... is Tanjiro dead????

Hang on, I just... my... my heart, it... it's broken.

*Total Concentration Breath* Okay. In considering this AU, I see very little room for anything in canon to play out as usual, and as I was pondering this earlier together I totally forgot about the part about Nezuko being a demon slayer because my brain was so stuck on how it would EVERYTHING on Hard Mode for these two. You know how Gotouge had more of quietly sentimental and tragic style at the beginning with the scariness coming from how overwhelming a situation the two siblings have found themselves in, with only each other? It's that, a thousand times over, if it's freshly turned Nezuko and toddler Rokuta. It looks like you've got things handled for what would become of them later, but I got swept up thinking about the beginning of this AU. Rokuta escapes without injury because Nezuko protected him, but he's had to see the rest of his family die, and he's scared so stuff that Muzan doesn't notice he's still alive.

And then Rokuta has to witness Nezuko's change, and he's scared and confused but also his sister is finally moving again, and his joy to see her is what calls her back enough to awaken a very strong "I have to protect this small person" instinct in her, and they're both really lucky Giyuu recognized thaat she was protecting Rokuta from an attacker instead of jealously protecting her food. In fact, let's assume Giyuu gets a clear enough understanding of the situation that the demon he was trailing (Muzan, he suspected) is to blame for all the other dead bodies, and even though Nezuko should be starving, she's acting as big sister, and he's reminded of Tsutako, which is what makes him decide to help.

So he knocks Nezuko out, gives her a muzzle, and has Rokuta stay with her with his haori over them to shield her from the soon to be rising sun, while he explains very plainly to this toddler that his sister is a demon now, all the while he is doing them the favor of burying their family. (Oh my gosh....... he's burying Tanjiro. I AM NOT OKAY, ANON.) But Nezuko wakes up, her single-minded drive is to protect Rokuta, so she runs away, stealing Giyuu's haori in the process.

So then we get a pretty silent manga just told in very emotional panels of the confused and starving demon, still wearing bloody bedclothes and draped in a stolen half-and-half haori, carrying her exhausted little brother who can barely process anything that has happened either. He's still human and tired and hungry too, and no matter how exhausted she is, she still carries him tight. They can't communicate well in words, although Rokuta does talk to her and pat her head and ask about her not feeling well, and he tries (and fails) to fix her bows for her.

Eventually Nezuko can hold out no longer and collapses in a cave, after having wrapped Rokuta up in the haori to try to keep him warm. He's scared, but grounded to the spot as she sleeps, but eventually some form of comfort arrives--it's a calico cat with a backpack. Rokuta happily befriends Chachamaru, who could still something was amiss, and Chachamaru brings Tamayo and Yushiro to their rescue. Tamayo is astounded by the sight of them and her heart is deeply moved with pity, and she and Yushiro take them in. Even though Nezuko is not under a hex from Urokodaki, her brain is a scattered state and she sees her mother and older brother this time, so she trustingly goes along.

At their estate they offer Nezuko blood because she is clearly exhausted, but she adamantly refuses, however much it pains her to do so, and Tamayo realizes that Nezuko must not have touched any blood at all since becoming a demon. It's while Tamayo is starting to treat her with medicines that Nezuko finally feels Rokuta's safety is secure, so she falls into her deep, deep sleep.

Living with Tamayo and Yushiro and Chachamaru and his comatose sister become the new normal for Rokuta, and as he gets bigger, he runs little errands in sunlight, though it's really hard and scary for him at first. Little by little, Rokuta forgets the face of his own mother and will later on only be able to remember Tamayo as his mother figure (and she very, very, very wholeheartedly adopted him, and Yushiro only accepts this because he knows of that hole in Tamayo-sama's heart, and he's happily to have an actual child fill than for Tamayo to view him as a child, but that is besides the point).

And eventually Ubuyashiki's crow shows up... with Giyuu.

Giyuu had talked with Oyakata-sama about Nezuko, and they both took interest in seeing what could become of a demon like her, so they both had been looking when they figured out she was with another demon Oyakata-sama had interest in, so Giyuu waited for the right time to go claim his haori back (as well as propose that Nezuko avenge her family by fighting against Muzan and his demons).

“Tahahahhanjiro, dohohohohn’t!” Takeo squealed as he twisted and turned beneath his brother, slapping at his hands weakly. “Sthahahap tihiiihihckling mehehehhe!”

“Are you gonna be nicer to Hanako?” Tanjiro asked, grinning when Takeo nodded vehemently. Finally satisfied, he stood back as his brother collapsed, gasping for breath. “There- now; be nice.”

“Shehehee started it!” Takeo grunted with a weak glare, letting his brother help him up. “Why do you always take her side?”

“I don’t. The other day I got her for giving you a hard time. I’m just balancing out the scales.” Tanjiro hugged his brother, ruffling his hair. “I love all of you equally- and I’ll gladly tickle you all just as so.” He gave his brother’s ribs a scratch, making him squeak and duck away.

“One day we’ll get you!” Takeo declared as he stood, pointing determinedly at Tanjiro. “We’ll get you back for all the tickle attacks!”

“Sure you will.” Tanjiro puffed out his chest, raising his chin gleefully as he wiggled his fingers. “I’m the best tickler of all the Kamados! No one can stop me!”

“Oh? Are you sure about that?” Nezuko’s teasing voice called out from the back, Shingeru and Hanako smiling on either side of her when Tanjiro turned around. “Last time I checked, I’m the best tickler in the Kamado family.” Her eyes danced with playful challenge, making her family giggle. “Are you sure you want to keep that title, brother?”

Tanjiro weighed his options. It was true Nezuko could be rather relentless; but in their own tickle fights he’s had his fair share of wins against her. “I would, actually.”

“Ooooooooh.” The younger siblings gasped, smiling behind their sleeves as they waited for their sister’s response. Nezuko made a show of rolling up her sleeves, eyes dancing.

“You’re brave, brother. Very brave. But completely reckless.” Nezuko grinned before gesturing Takeo over, gathering all their younger siblings and whispering to them. Tanjiro watched their little huddle fondly, mentally preparing for all the chaos coming his way.

“Prepare yourself!” Nezuko didn’t hesitate, immediately charging at her older brother with the intention of winning. Tanjiro, having years of practice, was prepared. As she came into arms length, he grabbed her around the waist and pulled her down, fingers finding the ticklish spot just beneath her ribs. “Ah! Nohohoohohohoho waiihihihihiit!” She squealed, crumbling instantly.

“What was that about being the best tickler of the Kamados?” He teased, grinning when she tried to swat at him.

“Kihihihihihids, gehehehehet him!” She cried through her giggles, the swatting turning into a wave as she called upon their siblings.

“Here we come!” Hanako led the pack, running towards her brother and hugging him around the shoulders. Takeo let out a roar as he grabbed an arm while Shingeru grabbed a leg, giggling softly.

“Ha! You guys really think you can take me?” Tanjiro teased as he twisted around, grabbing Hanako and giving her sides a squeeze, making her squeal.

“Nohohohoohoho! Sahahahahhave mehehehehehe!” She cried.

“Hang on Hana-Gah nohhohohot agahhahahahahin!” Takeo yelped when Tanjiro got both of them, pulling them into his lap as he scribbled into their bellies. “No fahahhahahahir!”

“Yes fair! You two wanted to play, so let’s play!” Tanjiro grinned cheekily, reaching out a hand and giving Shingeru’s neck a wiggle, making him duck away and laugh. “Get ready!”

“Gotcha now!” Nezuko shot to her feet, sliding behind him like an athlete as she squeezed his sides, making Tanjiro yelp. He twisted around to get her back, but that only left him open for more tickles from the others.

Recovering quickly, Hanako hugged his middle, her small hands clawing at his belly the way he did to her. “Take this!” She giggled, grinning when he started to laugh. “We can do it! Tickle him!”

“Obviously!” Takeo grunted as he maneuvered around jerking elbows, pushing one up so he could go for his brother’s armpit. “Looks like I found a good spot!”

“Ah! Nohohohoho! Wahhahait no hold ohohohoohohohn!” Tanjiro squirmed, trying his best to fight back. It wasn’t long before he was overpowered, falling to his side as the three poked and prodded every spot on him. “Ehehehehehehehehhe! Shhihihihiihihngeru! Hehehehehehelp mehehehehehe!” He cried, reaching for his brother weakly.

“Hm…nope.” He decided, grinning at the other. “This is what you get, big bro.”

“Trahahhahahahahihihiihihihitor!” Tanjiro cackled, sinking further when Nezuko’s nails found his upper ribs. “Geahahhahahhaahha, not theehehehhehehre!”

“He’s way more ticklish than all of us!” Hanako giggled, delighted.

“To think we’ve been letting him win all this time?” Takeo sounded almost disappointed.

“Now now, don’t fret- he’s quite the beast.” Nezuko grinned, giggling when Tanjiro squealed. “You just gotta find the right spot to disarm him! Like…here!” She reached around and dug into the left side of his belly, making him shriek. “See? Instant defeat!”

“GUUHUUHUHUHUHUHUYS!” Despite how loud he laughed, Tanjiro did in fact give up. He no longer squirmed, opting to just curl up and laugh. His cheeks were bright red with mirth, eyes squeezed shut as tears threatened to spill. “I GIIHIHIIHIHIVE!”

“Okay!” Nezuko and the others immediately retracted, watching him gasp for breath. “Still think you’re the best tickler in all the Kamado family?”

“Heheheck yeah…You just cahauaght me ohohohff guahahahrd.” Tanjiro gasped, making his siblings laugh.

Just then, Rokuta shuffled in, rubbing his eyes as he yawned. “What happened?” He breathed, still waking up.

“Roku! Good morning.” Nezuko stood and shuffled to her brother, gathering him up with a kiss to the forehead. Hanako and Takeo joined her soon after, beginning to bicker about something new while Shingeku crawled over, petting Tanjiro’s head. “Are you okay, Tanji?”

Tanjiro smiled, reaching up and squeezing his hand gently. “Never been better.”

Kiss it better

As soon as Tanjirou sees the grumpy boy again and the butterfly girls tell him his name, he decides to befriend him.

Well, it's not just because he meets him again, it's because everyone tells him he has no friends. So Tanjirou has to fix that immediately.

Their second meeting doesn't go that well, Tanjirou is about to leave on another mission and Genya bumps into him in the hallway, but doesn't actually look back at him.

The third meeting goes a little bit better, they see each other in the butterfly estate again, and this time Tanjirou makes sure to stop right in front of the tall boy.

"Hi, Genya!"

Frowning, the other boy tries to move away but Tanjirou follows him.

"I'm Kamado Tanjirou! I'm glad you're still alive!"

Finally, there's something inside Genya that snaps because he stops to growl at him. Tanjirou beams in return.

"Why are you talking to me? YOU BROKE MY ARM!"

"You do remember me!" Tanjirou smiles, but then narrows his eyes when he realizes what Genya just said. "But Genya, you know I did it to protect the little girl, you were hurting her!"

When Tanjirou realizes (thanks to his nose) that Genya feels actually bad about it now, his determination to befriend him becomes stronger.

"It's alright! I know you're really nice and sweet!" Tanjirou comments, prompting the other to frown even more. "Let's be friends!"

"Why would I be friends with someone who hurt me?"

Tanjirou pouts, he starts feeling bad about it; maybe he actually broke it so bad and it never actually healed completely.

"Does it cause you pain still? Maybe you should talk to Aoi about it. But let me kiss it better first!"

Genya freezes completely, staring down at Tanjirou like he's not sure he heard correctly.

"What?"

"It's okay! I used to kiss my siblings boo-boos better and they always felt a lot better right afterwards. Here, let me show you..."

Tanjirou takes Genya's arm and gives it a quick kiss before looking up at him with a huge smile.

"See? How do you–Genya? Are you okay?"

Perhaps Tanjirou did something wrong after all because the tall boy turns completely red and collapses on the floor. He covers his burning face with both hands.

"Genya?"

"STOP! Don't touch me again!"

Tanjirou made a mistake; he didn't actually ask Genya before kissing him, he did something wrong.

"I'm sorry! I won't... get closer to you again."

Perhaps he can't befriend everyone... no matter how much he wants to.

The next time he sees Genya, Tanjirou is in the backyard of the butterfly mansion, talking with Zenitsu and Inosuke.

Genya walks towards them, prompting Zenitsu to shiver and Inosuke to say something about wanting to fight him, but the tall boy with dark hair ignores them both and sits next to Tanjirou instead. He looks different this time, almost shy.

"I have another one," he finally mumbles, making Tanjirou narrow his eyes in confusion.

But then, he smells a little bit of blood before noticing the cut on Genya's cheek.

"Another boo-boo?" The redhead chuckles, remembering Rokuta suddenly. He was the one who was constantly following Tanjirou around and asking him to kiss his boo-boos better.

Genya blushes, but nods; he glances at Tanjirou once before looking away.

"Can you do the thing again?"

"Of course, Genya!" Tanjirou beams before cradling the boy's face in his hands, ignoring Zenitsu's outraged gasp and Inosuke's irritated comment about Tanjirou fighting someone that's not him.

He leans closer and presses his lips next to the tiny cut before releasing him.

"Better?"

Genya nods as the blush on his cheeks spreads down his neck quickly. Then he rises before rushing inside again.

The boy is a little bit shy, but Tanjirou is glad they're friends now.

He keeps looking for Tanjirou; there's always a small scratch or a bandaged arm that Tanjirou has to kiss to make him feel better. Once there was one on his chin and another on his neck, Genya almost collapsed on the floor again after Tanjirou kissed those.

"Friends?" Zenitsu asks, squeaking like he can't believe what Tanjirou just said. "You think he wants to be your friend?"

"Of course! Why would he come to me to kiss his injuries better if that wasn't the case?"

Zenitsu frowns and looks like he wants to pull all his blond hair out.

"Why are you so oblivious?"

"What do you mean?"

But they get interrupted when Genya arrives, sits next to them and puts Tanjirou on his lap like he sometimes does before resting his head on Tanjirou's shoulders.

"Bad day?" The redhead asks, running his fingers through his dark hair.

Genya nods before pulling Tanjirou closer to him. He then looks at Zenitsu and mouths "See? We're friends!"

Zenitsu looks like he wants to facepalm himself.
