Tw: mentions of gore, robot whumpee, and a really REALLY hopeless situation

Kami was so fucking close to the corridor 23. It just needed to get to communications to ring for help. Each step on its leg piece caused new soaring heights of suffering, but it couldn’t stop.

Plunking of falling flesh did nothing to soothe the bots crumbling sanity.

The security bot was stumbling, grasping onto the walls while lunging forward. The tissue over its poorly installed leg began to bleed again. Metal shrapnel cut open some more musculature, dripping bits of organic matter on the hallway.

It checked for its pockets, and fastened the zipper holding the info stick. It just needed to deploy this.

Trailing red on the brightly lit white hallways, the unit rounded left around a corner and spotted the door to communications.

It only needed to take three large paces towards the door, and it slammed into it. The bot was faintly aware of something falling but it couldn’t give less of a fuck. Kami fumbled for the ID card in its left pocket and grinned madly at the door.

It stuck the card in…

…and was met with silence.

No beep of the door opening. No clicking of locks. No recognition of the security drones identification.

Dumbfounded, the unit stuck the card in again. And again. And again.

Then it just stood there dumbfounded. It had frozen into such a shock that it had reverted into the routine it used to stand at attention. The only thing that moved in that hallway was the wobbly left leg. The silence was deafening. Kami begged for a noise, anything, just for the door to open.

Kamikaze was the ship's last hope to go back to normal systems. It had failed.

Suddenly it collapsed. Face on the door and twisted limbs splaying, it cried. It cried for the pain. It cried for its life. It cried for the hopelessness of the situation.

It even cried for Zeke.

Glancing over to where it had come, it spotted the leg piece that had detached. It was the part that was supposed to lock the foot in place.

Kami was a horrible excuse for a security unit. It couldn’t even install its own fucking foot. Much less save the ship.

It cried out of fear for everybody on board.

Closing up after a long shift was never fun. Well, it was never fun until you started working for Benny. After the last guests were ushered out and the doors were locked, you were put in charge of the gyms music. It was only fair since Benny had free reign during operating hours after all. Plus, your taste in music wasn’t exactly family friendly.

“Alright, what are we feeling this evening? Lady Gaga? Megan Thee Stallion? Doja Cat? Maybe some Rico Nasty? What artist really says ‘I want to clean this whole gym and look hot while doing it’ to you?”

“The evening song choices are all yours. I’m way too tired to even think about makin’ another decision right now.”

“Well,” You say as you start scrolling through artists on his phone to find one that will bring the energy that both of you need to get this done. “If you’re so tired, why are you going out with the guys after this?”

“You know that doesn’t count.” He’s currently working his way through cloroxing all the workout benches and weights. “The only decision I have to make when I’m there is if I want another drink or not and that's easy. Of course I want another fuckin’ drink!”

“Touché,” You laugh as you find the perfect playlist for the evening. “Let’s get this cleaning party started!”

Rhianna’s Bitch Better Have My Money starts blasting at full volume from the gym's speakers as you make your way over to the basket full of used towels.

Bitch, better have my money

“Oh fuck yeah! I love Rhianna!” He yells as he turns to you.

You pull out a towel, point to him from across the gym, and start swinging it over your head as you lip sync to the song playing.

Kamikaze if you think that you gon’ knock me of the top

Shit, your wife in the back seat of my brand new foreign car

Don’t act like you forgot

I call the shot, shot, shots.

Benny makes finger guns and pretends to fire them at you on each beat. “Sing it, girl!”

The two of you run dramatically to each other in the middle of the gym and start dancing like crazed animals. Each of your tasks having been long forgotten as soon as the music started. You both know by now that neither one of you will be leaving anytime soon.

“Where the fuck is your brother, Will?” Pope huffs.

Frankie, Pope, and Will have all been waiting at their table for Benny to show up for 45 minutes now. They turned the waitress away three times before they caved and ordered a round for themselves. Hoping that a light buzz would satiate them.

“I’ve been texting him, but he’s not answerin’!” Will explains. “His location says that he’s still at the gym.” He turns his phone screen over to show the others.

“This is the third time this week that he’s been late. He’s never taken this long to close up before.” Frankie adds.

Pope tips his almost empty beer bottle in his direction and nods. “Fuck this. Finish y’alls drinks and let's go pay him a visit.”

They all do as Pope orders and make their way out of the bar. As they cross the street and enter the gym’s parking lot they see both yours and Benny’s cars in the same spots that they were in this morning. All of the lights in the building are still on as well.

“Do y’all hear that?” Frankie asks the men walking next to him. “It sounds like -”

“Rhianna?” Pope says curiously.

All three of them walk up to the gym doors and the sight that greets them will be burned into each and every one of their minds for all eternity.

You’re currently holding onto one of the corner poles from the boxing ring with both hands and trying to explain to Benny how to shake his ass.

“Move your hips to the right, then the left, then shimmy down, and use your knees to help you bring your ass up and down!” You’re winded from both teaching your lesson and singing with Benny for almost an hour straight. It also doesn’t help that you’re trying to yell instructions over Rhianna’s S&M song.

“I think I got it now! Let me try!”

He helps you down so he can climb up and get into position. You pick up your towel and phone off a nearby workout bench. There is no way that you aren’t going to document this moment.

‘Cause I may be bad, but I’m perfectly good at it

Sex in the air, I don’t care, I love the smell of it

Stick and stone may break my bones

“But chains and whips excite me!” You and Benny sing together.

You are struggling to hold your phone still as you record because you can’t stop laughing. Benny is throwing everything, and you mean everything, into his one man performance on the edge of the boxing ring. He definitely paid attention to what you showed him. Even put his own little twist on it by bringing his right hand back to slap his ass. You can’t help but get swept away in it all and you start hitting him in the ass with your towel as well.

“Let’s go, Benny! Shake that shit for me!” Your lungs threaten to burst from over exhaustion.

“Should we tell them we are here?” Will ask hesitantly, still not entirely sure what he’s watching.

“I’m not even sure what we would say if we told them.” Frankie quips as he wishes you would get back up and dance again. “Pope?”

He looks to his left and sees him pulling up your contact information. “Let’s tell them that their audience wants an encore.” Pope presses ‘call’ and puts the phone to his ear with a devious grin.

How people would most likely mis-interpret my OCs if they were canon in Metalocalypse.

Misery - Needs to be with Nathan since she was the token girl that associated with the band before Abigail came along due to being their bodyguard. (Most likely would be pitted against Abigail even though Misery was never romantically interested in Nathan)

Is the stoic, angry, strong lady stereotype because she's muscular. (Even though she's shown to get emotional and be interested in things that may not be considered brutal, she's also pretty chill once you get to know her)

She was selfish for secluding herself from the boys in AOTD and suicide-baited Nathan (even though she was mentally unstable and went through with it and didn't die because Payne rushed her to the hospital)

Is a two-faced liar that does nothing but deny any responsibility and uses her trauma as a scapegoat. (Because she lied to the boys about joining the Revengeancers in Doomstar Requiem and hid the fact that she was secretly investigating the Revengeancers and apologized for using that as leverage to hurt Nathan because she was upset that he didn't take her seriously in Season 4 and she even helped defend the boys in the fight against the Revengeancers before leaving)

There would be also the type of people that would be mad that she's not sexy enough for them. (because she has muscles)

Would also be mad that she's less tolerant of the boys' shenanigans than Charles and would call her a hypocrite because she acts similarly to them in some situations (not everyone's smart all the time let her go crazy pls)

Soo - Would either be considered to be nothing but a Trindle 2.0 or an UWU baby that needs to be protected.

Since she's a pacifist she would immediately be considered a damsel in distress since she never fights (even though she has demonstrated she can defend herself)

People would think that Hun is in the right for being overprotective of her since she can't do anything herself (even though Soo is capable of many talents such as acupuncture and aerial dancing and Soo wants Hun to stop babying her)

People would think she's annoying because she wants Hun to talk to her about his problems (even though Hun holds on to the sexist ideology that was taught to him that men don't talk about their feelings even though he has PTSD from the military and witnessed their parents being beheaded by the Yakuza)

They would also consider her a Trindle 2.0 considering she fell in love with and was clingy with Nathan when they first met and he didn't like it (even though she was sad but okay with him not feeling the same when he finally pulled her aside and told her he doesn't see her like that, unlike Trindle who literally tried to kamikaze him when he broke up with her)

Because she's a trickster, a little bit rambunctious and rebellious to her brother's antics and is "weird" but not aggressive or submissive like most Asian women stereotypes are, she's unlikable and confusing (even though she's felt grief over not understanding social cues or people not liking her because she doesn't fit into the traditional wife quota that her mother tried to force on her when she planned to have her married off when she was older)

They would also mock her for having a crush on a celeb that's no longer alive and was much older than her when he was alive (even though Skwisgaar can f**k every grandma in the district and no one would bat an eye, also people that are interested in Marilyn, E*vis, John L*nnon and Audrey Hepburn still exist)

Would be infantilized because she acts silly and wacky so that must equate to her having the mindset of a child (even though as stated above she hates being babied)

Just because she's not sad, negative or depressed and is a positive ray of sunshine and because she's short, they'd also keep presenting her as if she's a kid (even though she's canonically 29)

Hun - People would say "he's so sigma male" or some bs like that and agree with his beliefs just because they were raised on the same sexist ideology that men are taught by their folks.

People would say he was in the right of being overprotective of Soo because they think she's too childish (even though it's literally enforcing the sexist "brother has to act like the dad" stereotype that women must be protected at all costs because she is delicate and fragile even though Soo hates being babied by him)

He would also not be criticized as much by the fandom as much because of him being a man due to men getting away with doing heinous s**t in the show all the time (but if a woman does the same she's persecuted and deserves to be burned at the stake)

They would think that just because Hun is a military veteran, doesn't show emotion outside of anger or frustration, that trains fighters kung fu and doesn't throw himself at women, that he's "Sigma" and the perfect man (even though the whole point of Hun's character is to highlight the sexist ideology that men grow up with while Soo is a representation of sexist ideology that women are forced to grow up with)

Hun wouldn't be criticized of being so hard on Misery because they wouldn't feel that she fits "traditional woman" standards and because she's not complicit with Hun's behavior and his ridiculous standards, therefore making her a bitch. (It wouldn't be until Hun starts criticizing the boys that people would see he's a POS)

It wouldn't be until Hun starts realizing that he's not healthy and that he's properly diagnosed with PTSD and learning how to deal with his emotions properly that people would start turning on him, complaining that they "ruined" him and turned him into a wimp just because he showed a little emotion. (this is the same type of ideology that men grow up with that is taught to them to make them hide their emotions and grow up angry and hateful)

Tommy - Kind of a mixed bag, some people would think he's annoying and others would think he's a twink we must woobify.

People would either love him for messing with Nathan and because he's Scottish or hate him for being such a dick to him (there's no in between)

There would be those that would complain about him being trans, saying he's not a real man but f**k them.

Would be the type to have DA weebs say "he's so mean spirited!" as if this isn't a show about men being dicks to each other.

They'd probably complain about him being too "bitchy" or whiny because he shows his emotions. (which literally fits in with the whole sexist rhetoric about men not being able to show emotion and calling him bitchy is usually a term used to refer to someone calling a man a woman, literal transphobia)

Like Toki and Soo, would probably fall victim to woobification, he's just a little baby with daddy issues lay off! (even though he hates being treated like a baby because it makes him feel like what he was before transitioning when he was younger and his brothers would pick on him)

Trinity - Would most likely be hated for being too mean.

People would give her s**t for not being patient with the boys or Nathan's ignorance for that matter. (even though upon first meeting Nathan literally thought of her people through racist inaccurate documentaries that sugarcoat the suffering of Native Americans and just portray them as savages)

People would also be upset that she's not submissive either (no s**t I'm sick of Native women always having to be the shy, timid, submissive stereotype, let them be mean for once)

They would also be angry at her for not immediately falling for Toki and would accuse her of leading him on or playing with his emotions (first of all he's not entitled to her, she's not an object, second of all she was scared of being hurt by romance again and leaving her comfort zone and she ends up with him at the end of AOTD so shut up)

Payne - People would complain about her just for existing, saying she's unnecessary and didn't do anything impactful (she literally tried to help the boys bring out their emotions and remember, was patient with Nathan despite him obviously not getting along with her due to her replacing Misery as their bodyguard when she went missing, and literally rushed Misery to the hospital when she tried to kill herself in AOTD, thus saving her life)

Would be criticized for trying to push Nathan to let his feelings out despite his objections, classifying her as pushy and a bitch (Nathan bottling up his emotions wasn't healthy and Payne saw that and was trying to help him through his struggles, sorry she wanted to be a good friend to him)

They'd probably criticize her as being too ordinary and mary sue-ish (wow someone who doesn't have a depressing backstory that is associated with the boys for once! that must mean she has everything easy and has no struggles at all! she literally suffers from a lack of self importance and being too generous, always putting others before herself)

Would also be criticized for not looking sexy enough due to her muscles (leave muscular women alone)

Would say she's equivalent to a doormat due to her lack of self importance (even though she's shown to be assertive when being patient with the boys' behavior, having grown up in a big Samoan family helped her tolerance)

Probably be criticized for being too motherly which is obviously a representation of sexism (so just because she wants to help the boys work through their trauma and issues that equates to her being a mother rather than a good friend? there would be some substance to that statement if it was just Payne in the show, but since we had Misery, Soo, Trinity, Lavona, Abigail and even Trindle and Rebecca that kind of fizzles out, if this was a trait that plagued every woman then it would also have some substance but it doesn't)

Arslan Senki (TV) - by the creator of fma

BLEACH - dude i love this anime so much. skip the filler arcs but there’s a few one off filler eps worth watching

BURN THE WITCH - by the creator of bleach. watch after bleach and read the one shot first

Enen no Shouboutai - by the same author as soul eater, it’s so glowy and fun

Magi: The labyrinth of magic - god the manga gets truly terrible but as far as the anime gets is so good

Ansatsu Kyoushitsu - so much fun

Ao no Exorcist - ignore the ending of s1, they went anime original then decided to adapt s2 and it makes little sense but overall good

Durarara!! - i don’t think this is technically shounen but it’s a load of fun

Kemono Jihen - not something i think about ever but i really enjoyed when i was watching

NARUTO - tbh i think you just need to watch this to understand. skip fillers and know the cunin exam arc is where it starts getting good. i’m sorry but you need to do this

Noragami - they’re good kids

Ookiku Furikabutte - cute baseball gays

THE GOD OF HIGH SCHOOL - not technically shounen bc it’s source is korean but it’s so fun, the webtoon is better though ofc

EDENS ZERO - i feel like there’s a law where there must always be ongoing anime by mashima

Kuroko no Basket - tbh i’m surprised you haven’t seen it

Shokugeki no Souma - it’s v ecchi so if you don’t like i don’t blame you, the first ep is probably the worst but overall it’s v fun

GREAT PRETENDER - it pretty and fun

Kuragehime - fun story about loving yourself

Koe no Katachi - i cried. bullying & suicide tw

Ouran Koukou Host Club - the greatest romcom of all time

Zankyou no Terror - love me a good thriller

Akatsuki no Yona - i love when romances have actual plots. also super likable characters

Baccano! - it’s a ride

Cross Game - sports romance that’s really about the drama more than the sport

Gin no Saji - farming anime by the same author as fma, to help you heal from how fma will destroy you

HELLSING OVA - manga was a ride and i’ve heard great things

Do you think I should keep Saku's past lives in the story, cause NGL they make it kinda a downer but it's majority the middle of the story.

I'm gonna need a big TW sign on the story if I do keep them in.

Weather update with meteoman yours truly Derek T. Because I haven't made one of these since motherfucking April. Also uhh this is going to be talking ab me if it isn't obvious so TW for general madness, sh, mentions of suicide, and whatever else I spill. With that said, I also wanna say DON'T worry about me. DON'T. ye hear me? DO FUCKIN NOT. I'm always alright at the end I assure of it.

Intended to upload earlier but I was in class so I can pardon myself. Anyway - as previously stated I'll recap the last six months or so but focusing on current times too. July sucked ass that's for sure, I even had a separate post for it. I can't recall much to be honest, but by the half of the month I went spiraling again. (As one does in summers) Might I say, I went on The Downward Spiral ? No? Alright. August wasn't any better and at some point between them months I permanently departed from Robyn, a name I think my old following is acquainted to by now. Long story short, I'm insufferable apparently and easy to replace. Now some days after that, I think maybe a week or so, I fell out with Maneater as well. I would be lying say I wasn't expecting it eventually happen, but I wasn't ready for it be this quick and I still feel the aftermath of it. I won't go in depth with it, what was ours was ours to keep. I will admit to stalking his accounts though still like every fucking day, I miss him, horribly, but it's better I think that he's now going to be able focus on his work and finding new people to share it with. I hope only the best for him, really bless his little heart if I would've been a little more conscious, I know things wouldn't had been like this. I'm still sorry, I don't think I'll ever be able reverse that fact. I will be honest, I want to fucking die without him, and I tried, and while I have my bunny boy keep me on my feet, it ain't the same. It won't ever be. So Maneater, you know who you are, remember that Boo still loves you, even if Boo was a bastard to you lately, even if he broke your spirit. I look for you in things, I try my best keep your memory alive, I try not be like him, I am afraid to be like him. I wouldn't want you to have to feel that way again. Maybe when we're older and wiser, and you'd still be willing, we could start again?

Blog wise, I've been spam reblogging I KNOW. It is a coping mechanism, it is, I think, healthier than self harm. I'm not above sh, but still, indulgence is another thing completely. I've been looking for psychologists in town, and I honestly consider visiting somebody pretty soon. Until then, I keep on documenting my near daily experiences, I think I have about 40 entrys maybe 50 total if adding from my old journal too.

I'm not better by any means, I keep a state of flux, but I've been inspecting Boisvert, and Matpat's interpretation left me with the thought that living my life is a war and every day is a battle - I win some, I lose some, though for every two loses there is a win so 1/3 ratio usually. There's little instances that make the third day a win, like Kamikaze showing up, or general luck, I found 5 bucks on the ground today (but Ig it is neutralized since I sliced into my thigh) but heeey some days I guess fall in no category. I would claim today to be good though, I just feel it was.
