Remember the series that was supposed to be about the era of Bran the Builder? I'm not sure if it was officially called "Blood Moon" but that's the name a lot of people are using to refer to it.
In any case, it was scrapped after millions of dollars were spent on it. That seems like an terrible waste, they should have at least tried to salvage a one-off TV movie out of it.
So Flora Moody is a hair and makeup artist who worked on the project. She posted a clip which seems to feature several images from the defunct series at Instagram.
Dan Selcke at Winter Is Coming writes...
While House of the Dragon is set over one hundred years before the events of Game of Thrones, Blood Moon would have taken place thousands of years before the likes of Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen and Tyrion Lannister were born. To this day, we don't know exactly what it was about, although we have clues. We know it had a large ensemble cast, though, including Miranda Richardson, Denise Gough, Jamie Campbell Bower (who went on to play Vecna on Stranger Things), Shiela Atim, Toby Regbo, and Naomi Watts, who would have played “a charismatic socialite with a dark secret.” Details remain elusive, but reports have it that Watts may have played a member of the Casterly family, the people who occupied Casterly Rock before the Lannisters tricked them out of it, and that the pilot would have revolved around a marriage between a Castlery girl and a Stark boy. What exactly would have happened after that, we'll never know. Still, a whole pilot was shot and scrapped; there are still pictures of Watts and company in full costume on set floating around the internet. In fact, a bunch of new ones just got uploaded. Hair and makeup designer Flora Moody posted a video of images from the set to her Instagram page.
The House Casterly was said to have been tricked out of their holdings by Lann the Clever – progenitor of House Lannister.

Berättandet börjar komma i gång, men känns fortfarande lite avslaget.

« I’ve been working…I’m 12 years late with Winds of Winter…I’m just going to put it right out there: you guys don’t have to pester me about it. »
— George R.R. Martin quoted in an article republished at MSN about his progress on The Winds of Winter.
Somebody could write a seven-volume chronicle about GRRM's epic struggle to complete the sixth volume of ASoIaF. Perhaps it could be made into a series.

Some GoT nostalgia. Richard Madden posted that obviously non-digital image on Instagram four years ago with this caption...
This is Kit, Alfie and I after our first read through of S1 Ep1 of Game of Thrones about 10 years ago. KIDZ.
The Wheel of Belfast or Belfast Wheel was a temporary attraction in the capital of Northern Ireland. It was a 60 meter high Ferris wheel – somewhat similar to the London Eye.
The attraction closed in April of 2010, so they may have been among the last visitors there.

« I’m neurodivergent and that’s part of why I feel more understood by adults. It didn’t faze me at all. Being around kids my own age would have been so much harder. »
— Bella Ramsey in an interview at The Guardian explaining why acting around adults on Game of Thrones was not that difficult.

Yep. Thick coats, warm gloves, and sturdy boots won't do anything to keep you from losing heat through your head.

George R.R. Martin had a discussion at his Beastly Books store in Santa Fe with Dominic Noble which covered a number of topics related to books.
In particular they discussed Nine Princes in Amber by Roger Zelazny and Zelazny more generally. There are major SPOILERS for that book and the series – so proceed with caution!
Dominic, of course, has a YouTube channel called Lost In Adaptation where he specializes in film adaptations of books.
It's a fun conversation where GRRM briefly mentions the promised last two books of ASoIaF.

Maisie Williams visited with Jimmy Fallon this week. She talked about how House of the Dragon led her to re-watch all of Game of Thrones.
Among other things, she mentioned how Super Bowl LVIII was the first one she ever saw.

I wonder if Arya ever learned of the inscription on Aegon the Conqueror's Catspaw Dagger which she now carries.
"From my blood comes The Prince Who Was Promised, and his will be the Song of Ice and Fire.

If Yasuke was an IRL samurai, I don’t see why a few people should have a problem with Steve Toussaint as Lord Corlys.

Maisie Williams at Instagram shared a behind the scenes photo, presumably from Season 8, of the Night King apparently trying to crawl through a window. Note the phone in his right hand; perhaps he has an app called Wight Animator.

For our friends outside the United States...
Liz Cheney is an anti-Trump pro-democracy Republican. Kari Lake is a rabidly pro-Trump conspiracy nutcase who was the Republican candidate for governor of Arizona.
Cheney’s political committee spent over $500,000 for political ads to attack Lake and Mark Finchem – another unhinged pro-Trump fanatic who was running to be Arizona’s top election official.
Lake was defeated in the November 8th election by Democrat Katie Hobbs who had been endorsed by Cheney.
Tumblr media
Finchem also lost.
After Hobbs was declared the winner, Cheney trolled Lake.

The coronation of Maegor Targaryen (AKA: Maegor the Cruel) who became king after his half-brother King Aenys died of cramps during a revolt of the Faith Militant.
Grand Maester Gawen objected to Maegor becoming king instead of one of the offspring of Aenys. Maegor beheaded Gawen on the spot. Visenya, Maegor’s mother and widow of Aegon the Conqueror, then crowned him.
At the end of his violent reign, Maegor bled to death on the Iron Throne under peculiar circumstances.
In a connection to House of the Dragon, Aenys’s son Jaehaerys became king upon Maegor’s death. King Jaehaerys I had a long reign that brought peace and prosperity to Westeros. We saw the elderly King Jaehaerys in S01E01 at the Great Council where it was decided that his grandson Viserys would succeed him.
