ONEWE & Gravity lyrics
A/N: In celebration of my listening to the whole album and something about my brain chemistry being altered...
Tumblr media
Yonghoon
Tumblr media
Even if it's dangerous to die I wanna be, wanna be, wanna be with you
Leave it to Yonghoon to both make you never second guess the choices you make and yet somehow, at the same time, always make you doubt them. Case in point: tonight.
You weren’t sure if the leather jacket was a good idea, it looked different than what you usually wore. A little too bold for you, even if you aren’t one to avoid pieces like that. You pair it with some simple shirt and jeans with scratches and patches of torn fabric that are comfier than you’d guess. Looking into the mirror, you look good. It makes you feel confident. But it’s also new and it makes you unsure. The glint in Yonghoon’s eyes the moment he sees you, though, tells you everything you need to know. You should’ve known the moment he told you to wait for him to change into something that will match with you better that some ridiculous idea has popped into his head. And here you are.
What was supposed to be a wholesome arcade date, one with playing games and silly bets and Yonghoon finally fulfilling his promise of getting you a plushie from one of the claw machines turned into much more. You’re used to him being flirty, but not to this extent. And as much as you love when he slips into his confident, cocky role, it’s surprising he can keep it up this long. He acts like he owns the place, unless you need to talk to the staff or interact with the other people visiting and then he’s your well-behaved boyfriend again. But otherwise? Honestly the way he’s acting you’re surprised nobody has yet scouted him to be the lead of a drama.
He lets the character slip off slightly when you’re playing together, and it’s cute. He’s cute. The constant changing from your softie of a boyfriend and the bad guy persona he’s playing for the entertainment of you both. You love his long talks about a motorcycle he doesn’t have, you love that he makes Kanghyun a professional hustler and that he makes Harin a bouncer of a club that they don’t own. It’s more fun than you’d expect building this entire alternative universe of the guys being a gang with him.
Then a pair of teenagers passes by and his arm is around your shoulders immediately, pulling you into his side protectively. He turns his head back to glare at them, but you notice the second of uncertainty while he checks noone is looking.
“Your life is just one long skit, huh?” you chuckle fondly, leaning your head back on his shoulder.
“Ah,” he hesitates, his eyes growing a little softer, “You don’t like it?”
“No, I do,” you smile, hugging him from the side, “It’s so much fun.”
“Well,” he grins, pulling you even closer and kissing the top of your head, “It’s just me and you against the world, baby. We better make it fun.”
Harin
Tumblr media
I can't ignore to call it love Something meant to be
What are you?
A question you’ve asked yourself a thousand times before and that you’re asking yourself once more. If only there existed such a thing as clean cut categories for human relationships. Family, friends, lovers, enemies… Just pick one of those and be done with it. Simple as that. Life is such a messy thing anyway, why make it even harder. Yet nothing about your emotions right now is as simple, or really as complicated, as it seems.
You love Harin.
There can be no doubt about that. There doesn’t exist a word that could ever be enough to describe exactly the feelings you have for him but from your options, love is the one that comes the closest.
You’re aware of it when you wake up to his texts in the morning, and when you wake up earlier than him and immediately leave some texts for him to wake up to, and you’re aware of it late at night when you say goodnight. You know it to be true when your heart aches when you see him exhausted and struggling, and when it flutters as he feeds you soup when you’re sick and too weak to move.
You love him. Unconditionally, without any fear or doubt, from the day you met and until the end of time.
And as much as your insecurities and demons inside your head want to tell you otherwise, you know Harin loves you too. Honestly, at this point the only way you could be more like a couple is to move in together instead of constantly sharing each other’s living spaces. Or to confess. Actually officially become a couple. But there’s something about that that seems just so wrong.
“What are we?” a whisper spills from your lips as you sit facing each other in a small café. It’s a question shared with your mug of warm liquid, yet the answer comes from the man it concerns. You hear him smile before he speaks.
“In love,” he says as if it’s the simplest thing in the world. Your head shoots up, you almost drop the mug but he’s quick to steady your hands. So familiar with your behavior. You meet his eyes and you feel like you have a headache without the pain. All your thoughts are locked behind a wall of fuzziness.
“That’s all?” you ask, shy and uncertain. You feel a little stupid, a little confused, and the way he avoids your eyes for a second tells you so does he.
“Do we need more?” he replies eventually. Something clicks into place. You don’t. You love each other, and for now that’s enough. You shake your head, and yet… some doubt lingers. It is enough, more than enough. Still…
“Soon, maybe?” he suggests with a knowing smile. You swear that if people are really made of stardust, you were together before the Earth even existed.
Kanghyun
Tumblr media
I'm a gravity Pulling towards us, you and I
When someone asks you how the two of you met and got together, the best and most truthful answer is to say that it’s an interesting story.
This, of course, never satisfies anyone but the whole tale seems too personal, too intimate to share with just anyone beside the people closest to you, and so the most they get out of you is that it was fate and a small shrug. Kanghyun and you enjoy the sense of mystery it creates around the two of you. You almost think that at this point some of your friends have little meetings every now and then to piece together new slivers of information that you’ve let slip. Most people that stay in your lives get to hear the full story anyway, and those who don’t have no use for it, do they?
Anyway, it fills you with warmth when occasionally someone mentions that watching you, they do believe the thing about fate.
If only they knew.
And nothing stops you from telling them. You could tell them about the boy you kept seeing on the bus to school who always seemed lost in his own world. About how one day you’ve gathered all your courage to sit next to him and you found out his voice is really nice and his face is so pretty, and that despite how shy he was, he was easy to talk with. And how the next day you got your heart broken because he no longer took the bus and you were sure you’d never see him again.
You could also tell them about your first part-time job and the number of various bands trying to make it that occasionally busked in front of the building. There was one of them, you see, that you could never quite ignore and that you’d often sneak out to listen to. The guitarist was handsome and talented, even if it seemed he wasn’t yet quite used to all the attention. For some reason though, as time passed you’d swear you saw him relax any time your eyes met accidentally.
And of course there was the possibility to skip all that and jump straight to the fateful library and the only copy of the book you both desperately wanted to read. You could tell the history from that point, sure, but that wouldn't be the true story of you. It would tell them nothing of the destiny that binds you.
"Were you my fate or were I yours?" Kanghyun asks, his thumb stroking the back of your hand. You look up from your book to see him already looking at you. It's a quiet evening after your friends left after a quick coffee together.
"Hmmm," you hum, squeezing his hand, "I don't know, but I think it's because of you we kept meeting."
He looks surprised, huffing shyly before meeting your eyes again.
"Why? You always made the first step," he wonders aloud. You smile.
"I've told you before," you remind him, leaning closer, "I always gravitate towards you. I don't know how, there's just something about you that draws me in."
Kanghyun chuckles with a shake of his head. He picks up his book again, yet his hand never leaves yours and you think he holds it just a little tighter.
Dongmyeong
Tumblr media
Without you, there's no life I call you the one
You should stop, you’re being creepy - despite reminding yourself, you can’t bring yourself to close your eyes or turn away.
The headache that made you go lie down has ebbed away and you feel pleasantly warm and relaxed. Grateful most of all, if you’re being honest.
Dongmyeong was worried when you suddenly got so weak and quiet, and so he insisted on watching over you while you napped after taking some pills. He must’ve been tired too, seeing as he fell asleep himself. And maybe you aren’t being creepy. After all, he’s also probably watched you sleep even if only because he wanted to make sure you’re alright. You only want the same.
It’s hard to remember a time when he wasn’t such a big part of your life, harder still to remember when he wasn’t in your life at all. Through thick and thin, the good and the bad, he stood by you and you by him. You’d like to say that the majority of that time was good and happy, but well - life happens. At least things are looking up now.
You stretch your hand towards him. He doesn’t stir at all, his breathing remains even and eyes closed. He couldn’t look more like a fairy if he tried. You smooth some hair away from his face and behind his ear. He still doesn’t react, sleeping soundly. You wonder if he stayed asleep if it was anyone but you. You’d like to think not.
You look at the clock as you caress Dongmyeong’s cheek and note that it’s late afternoon. It makes you frown to realize how long you’ve slept. Even though it’s good since you feel better, it’s a shame you weren’t able to do much today. You could of course get up now and get some cleaning done, but that would mean abandoning your boyfriend and that you just can’t do.
You like to write it down to being young and in love, or maybe to the limited amount of time you’re allowed to be together without responsibilities, but nothing seems intriguing without him. You can function, of course. It’s not like you can put your life on hold until you can be together. When he’s here, however, you can’t bring yourself to enjoy yourself without him by your side. Maybe you’re just clingy. It’s not your fault, though, that his presence is like sunshine and doing chores with him, watching dramas with him, living with him is much better than doing it all alone.
You jump when you feel arms wrapping around your waist and a warm breath on your neck as your boyfriend giggles.
“Did I make you wait?” he sighs, settling so close to you it’d be hard to untangle. Not that you’re complaining.
“No, it’s alright,” you say as you hug him even closer, “How do you feel?”
“That’s my line,” he pouts and only responds when you reassure him you feel better. “I had a nightmare. You weren’t here when I woke up.”
“I’ll always be here,” you press a kiss to his forehead, “You know that, right?”
“Yeah,” he smiles as he takes your hands into his, “That’s why I woke up and wasn’t worried at all.”
CyA
Tumblr media
My heart gets possessive 'Cause I feel that I'm cooped up
It’s somewhat of a routine. Your friend groups gather together, delicious food is eaten, drinks are drank, karaoke is sung, jokes and stories are told, and it’s a good time. You meet people you haven’t seen in a while, what with everyone caught up in their own busy lives.
As you make rounds around the room, making sure no one leaves without chatting with you, you always end up the center of CyA’s attention. Sometimes it’s only a brief exchange of smiles, other times he comes up to you and hugs you or checks on you. Usually it’s short and sweet, but as the night gets late, he tends to stay with you for longer and longer. He’s not that big on affection in public, but at times like these his hand never leaves yours as you move from one group of friends to another.
You know he trusts you, and that he feels guilty about his behavior. He doesn’t want to hover, really, nor make you feel like you can’t hang out with your friends without him. He doesn’t want to make you feel uncomfortable in any way, and he doesn’t. You find it strangely heartwarming for the most part, honestly you only worry about him. It must be uncomfortable for him, to feel like he does.
He’s explained it to you once. Since he doesn’t have that many friends and there’s only one you, he feels nervous about losing someone. You’re all dear to him, especially you. And when everyone gets together, it feels strange to see everyone hanging out with other people. You most of all… It’s not that he wants to get jealous, but it’s strange to suddenly be out of the center of your attention. You’re his. He knows that. And he knows his friends won’t easily abandon him either. And yet…
Emotions can’t be controlled, you know that very well. Still you wish he’d see that you don’t mind. It’s good that you get the chance to speak with everyone, but it’s all the better when CyA’s with you. He’s your person, after all, and his presence gives you a chance to relax and hear him tell your stories from his perspective. It’s fun. It’s a reminder of you sharing your lives together, and is there really anything you’d enjoy more than that? You don’t think so. Safe for when everyone leaves and you go home and it’s just the two of you again. Just you and CyA in your own little bubble that might as well be heaven.
“I’m sorry,” he whispers into your ear as he hugs you from behind, swaying slightly to the rhythm of the music playing in the background, “I just don’t like thinking about losing you.”
“Then don’t,” you tease gently before turning in his hold, “You have nothing to worry about, Giuk. I’m yours. And honestly, I really like it sometimes - when we’re out and you pull me closer and hold my hand.”
“Really? I don’t want to be too much,” he leans his forehead against yours, smiling when you lean further into the touch.“You’re not. It makes me feel protected. I just want you to know I’m not going anywhere,” you remind him, kissing the corner of his mouth. He nods, blindly following your lips until they meet his. Finally he relaxes, melting into the kiss and into you. How could you ever so much as consider leaving when this, he, is your home?

Purple is Definitely Your Colour
Kanghyun x Reader word count: 591 fluff
"Why is everything here purple?" You're fond of the colour purple and Kanghyun wants a new hair colour
A/N: I will start moving my onewe imagines from ao3 here. So expect daily updates for the whole week
---
“Why is everything here purple?” Kanghyun asked you.
He had decided to visit your house for a movie night, but now you see a frown on his face due to the fact that a lot of your things: throw pillows, outfits, socks, were all purple.
“What can I say? Purple is a pretty colour,” you grinned.
“At least it looks good, it’s you after all.”
Seriously, why is this guy making you blush?
“Anyways, what do you wanna watch?” You asked.
“Maybe something with purple in it?” He teased, making you roll your eyes. You scrolled through your Netflix, ignoring the blonde-haired boy who sat down next to you. You settled on some movie you have said to Kanghyun you wanted to watch. He didn’t mind, he enjoyed whatever you wanted. You settled back on your couch, making Kanghyun lay his head on your lap. You enjoyed patting his fluffy hair. Although it was a bit brittle due to bleach, you just loved playing with it.
“You know, I actually like purple,” Kanghyun hummed.
“Huh?”
“It’s a nice colour, very soothing,” he said. “I kinda wanna dye my hair purple.” He got up from your lap and sat next to you.
“Why not now?” You offered. “I think I have some purple hair dye.” You paused the movie and got up, rushing to the bathroom. You had attempted to date your hair purple but it did not end up being visible and you did not want to bleach your hair.
“You should try doing it, it would look good on you,” you said, showing him the dye kit. Kanghyun pursed his lips, contemplating whether or not he should do it. Then again, it wouldn’t be a bad idea. With a smile on his face, he got up and walked towards you.
“Let’s do it.”
---
“Are we doing this right?”
You two are currently in your bathroom, Kanghyun having a cloth wrapped around his neck as you attempted - keyword: attempted - to dye his hair. Truth be told, Kanghyun was rather nervous. He hoped you actually knew what you were doing.
“Okay, I think I got all of your hair,” you muttered. “So we just need to wait for a bit.”
So the two of you decided to just wait in the bathroom, occasionally chatting and joking, but it was a bit awkward for the two of you to be in the bathroom. Kanghyun can’t go out, he might get some dye on your stuff. And you can’t leave him alone in the bathroom, you would feel bad.
“Is it time to wash it off?” Kanghyun asked.
You checked the time on your phone. “I think so.”
You helped Kanghyun bow over your bathtub and washed his hair.
“How does it look so far?” He asked.
“Looks… pretty good.”
“You sound unsure.”
“I’m not sure, I can’t tell.”
You heard a groan coming from the guy.
“If my hair is ruined after this I’m painting your hair as well.”
Finally, you finished everything and dried Kanghyun’s hair.”
“So?”
“It… It looks good on you!”
Kanghyun checked in a mirror, humming to himself in delight.
“I like it,” he said. “Do you?”
You nodded. “You look good.”
“Better than before?” He joked.
“Yeah, you look more handsome.”
Kanghyun chuckled and approached you, enveloping you in a hug.
“Thanks,” he said.
Although surprised, you smiled and hugged him back.
“We should get back to the movie before it gets late,” he said.
The two of you continued watching, eventually falling asleep on the couch together.

what if there was rock band 4 dlc for kpop band bands. so like songs from xdinary heroes/day6/the rose/onewe etc. maybe the respective companies would be willing to hand over the stems (maybe even chart it themselves) or harmonix would chart it/outsource it, only issue would be all of the lyrics being in korean for the voice track but i'm sure it's not the first time harmonix has handled something in anything other than english
that or people make mods for guitar hero world tour DE and make models for these band kpop boys and girls (which would be equally as awesome)

So I just imagined Kanghyun as college friend or boyfriend with whom you study, drink coffee and he lends you sweaters. Also be ready for little drawnings, talks about space and enjoying halloween. It would be so cute I am sobbing.

i cannot imagine what went through yonghoon's head when he joined onewe honestly. imagine you're a 20 yr old college student and you win some singing contest and a group of literal teenagers (harin was 17, kanghyun was 16, dongmyeong and giuk were 15) approaches you and asks you to join their band. and you drop everything and become their lead singer

The first time you ran into Kanghyun, it was a complete act of destiny. In fact, if you had waited even 5 more minutes to decide to head to the roof of the science building, you would have missed him. Alas, it seemed like the red strings of fate had other plans for the two of you.
You had forced yourself out of bed at what felt like an ungodly hour (it was only 9:30 pm) and made your way to the rooftops with your backpack and your small telescope. It was late September, which meant that you had bundled yourself up in the warmest jacket you could find, even if said jacket had sleeves that went far past your fingertips.
As you burst through the double doors that would take you onto the roof, you were surprised to find that there was somebody else already up here. He was sitting on a blanket, notebook, and pencil in hand as he bobbed his head along with a silent melody. Moving closer, you noticed that he was wearing earbuds, just slightly obscured by his brown hair.
He didn’t notice as you moved closer until you placed yourself on the ground a few feet from him. The concrete was cold, making you shiver as you swung your backpack off of your shoulder and onto the ground. You could feel the eyes of the boy on you as you began setting up your telescope and pulled out your tablet to begin taking notes.
There were a few minutes of silence, the only sounds filling the roof were those of a pencil scratching on paper, a telescope shifting its position, and the soft ambiance of nature and a college campus. It wasn’t until you shivered once again under the breeze that the man finally spoke up.
“Would you like to sit on my blanket? I can’t help but notice that you’re shivering and I can only imagine how uncomfortable and cold the concrete must be,” his voice was soft, and for a moment you thought that you had imagined it. But when you looked up and saw his soft brown eyes looking at you questioningly through the darkness, you realized that you had indeed heard him and that he was absolutely talking to you.
“Oh, thank you,” you said, before sliding your set up over and placing yourself lightly on the flannel blanket that was sprawled out. You sent him a small smile before you went back to looking into the telescope. The stars you were supposed to be looking for were a bit trickier to find than you were expecting, and you groaned as you looked back at your tablet, searching for where the stars were supposed to be tonight.
“What are you looking for tonight?” The boy asked, taking one of his earbuds out as he shifted to get a look at your tablet. You scooched it a little closer to him, showing him the list of stars that you were supposed to be observing and the one you were trying to find: Regulus.
The boy smiled happily to himself as he read the words, before looking at your telescope as if waiting for permission. You gave a nod, scooting over so he could come a bit closer and peer into the lens. You could smell a soft scent of cologne coming off of him, and you felt yourself smile as you breathed it in, the scent relaxing your muscles as he fidgeted with the position of the telescope. Finally, he pulled away, grinning.
“There. That should be it.” You raised an eyebrow, before looking into the lens and seeing the brightly shining orb which represented Regulus. You looked at him, your eyes sparkling impossibly through the dark.
“Thank you so much. Are you an astronomy major too?” You asked. He shook his head, chuckling as he moved back to where he had been sitting previously.
“No, I’m actually a music major. I just really love the stars. It’s a special interest, I guess you could call it. My name is Kanghyun.” He held out his hand and you took it, reveling in the softness of his palm and the blistered tips of his fingers.
“My name is Y/N. If you’re not an astronomy major, what brings you to the roof on such a cold night?” you asked. Kanghyun motioned down to the notebook that was sitting in his lap, giving you a small smile.
“I’m actually writing a song for my band right now. The stars are my biggest inspiration, so I come up here to write,” he explained. Your eyes widened slightly in excitement at his words.
“That’s really cool! Has your band played around campus? Maybe I’ve heard you guys!” you asked. Kanghyun smiled as he shook his head.
“We haven’t played on campus yet, but we have played a few times at the bar downtown. You should definitely come sometime, the more the merrier,” Kanghyun said, thankful for the night sky that covered the blush resting on his cheeks. You nodded enthusiastically, before turning back to your telescope to begin working on your project. Kanghyun sat beside you, humming melodies and jotting down notes and lyrics. It was a peaceful atmosphere, one that surprised both of you considering you were practically strangers.
Once the moon was high in the sky and the loud noises of the campus below began to dwindle, you and Kanghyun bid goodbye to one another, heading to your respective dorms with a hazy and fuzzy mind.
The second time you met Kanghyun, was on purpose. Your friend, Goeun, had revealed to you that she often saw Kanghyun head to the cafe after their music class. Normally, you wouldn’t have done anything with that info, but you wanted to get Kanghyun’s thoughts on your paper so far, considering he seemed to like the stars.
So you headed to the cafe on campus and, sure enough, found Kanghyun sitting at a table with his notebook out and headphones in. You tapped him lightly on the shoulder, trying your best to not startle him, before smiling and sitting down across from him.
“Hi! Sorry for bothering you, but I wanted to know if you could read my essay so far? I have to turn it in at the end of the week and I really need a proofreader,” you explained, trying to calm your beating heart before it came right out of your chest,
“Oh, of course!” Kanghyun said, a small smile slipping onto his face as you let out a relieved sigh and slid your laptop over to him so he could read your paper. You watched with fascination as Kanghyun read the lines on your laptop, making you smile when you noticed how his eyebrows furrowed slightly in concentration and he began to bite his lip a little.
Finally, his head shot up and he gave you an approving smile.
“It’s really good, Y/N. I noted some grammatical stuff and where I think the words could flow a little better, but overall, I think that it gets your point across well,” Kanghyun advised. You nodded, listening intently to his notes as he pointed things out to you, making notes on what to fix and what to revise.
You had barely noticed that an hour had gone by until Kanghyun’s phone began to ring. He looked at the caller ID, then the time, before practically jumping out of his chair.
“Oh my gosh, I’m gonna be let to practice. I have to go, I’m so sorry!” Kanghyun explained, rushing to gather his things. You stood up as well, reaching out to take his arm and pause him for a moment. He looked at your hand, then at you, with a look of confusion.
“Can I have your number? In case I need more advice or something?” you asked, avoiding contact as you held your phone out cautiously with the other hand. Kanghyun looked at you, before smiling warmly and nodding. He typed away his phone number, before handing the device back to you and waving a rushed goodbye.
You stood there for a moment, almost in shock that you had actually succeeded in getting the cute music majors number, before shaking yourself out of it and heading back to your own dorm.
The third time you met Kanghyun, it was at the bar in town that he had told you his band played at. You had been texting each other for weeks after you had met at the cafe and finally, Kanghyun had told you (after countless pestering from you) that he and his band were going to be playing and that you should come to watch.
So there you stood amongst the fairly large crowd, a drink in your hand as you waited for the concert to start. A few people around you took to chatting and you gladly joined, before pausing once you heard the crowd begin to lull as the lights on the stage flicker on.
Cheers suddenly erupted from all around as 5 boys walked on stage, the only one you recognized being Kanghyun as he walked to the right side of the stage to get his guitar set up and plugged in. He looked so much different than the Kanghyun you were used to, with his hair all rustled up, his black button-up showing a bit of his chest as a metal chain rested around his neck.
You felt your cheeks heat up as Kanghyun scanned the crowd, making eye contact with you, before smiling gently at you. The singer, a tall boy with brown hair that you think was Yonghoon, was speaking but you were too busy staring in awe at Kanghyun.
As they began the concert, playing a song that you remember being titled Aurora, you couldn’t take your eyes off of the music major boy that was in front of you. He was completely in his element, the shy and introverted persona melting away to reveal a cocky and confident guitarist. His golden skin shined in the light and he would smirk occasionally as he played, taking the breath straight from your lungs.
They played a few more songs, each one more breathtaking than last when finally Kanghyun approached his own microphone with a small smile. He took a moment to catch his breath, basking in the glow and happiness that filled the stage of the bar.
“This next song is something I’ve been working on for a while. It was inspired by a girl that I met recently and I didn’t want to play it until she could be here to listen to it. I hope that she likes it as much as I like her. Here’s Regulus,” Kanghyun said, his eyes lingering on you. You felt yourself freeze as you tried to comprehend what Kanghyun had just said, but your thoughts were quickly interrupted as the song began.
Your eyes were glued to Kanghyun as the simple melody began, the words ringing clear in your ears as you finally began to piece together that the song was about you.
Kanghyun had written a song about you.
When the song was finally over, you were beaming. The crowd was going crazy but you were just smiling like an idiot at Kanghyun as the group said their goodbyes and headed off stage. You weaved through the crowd before stumbling upon the group behind the stage, packing away their equipment.
“Y/N?” You looked up as your name was said, your eyes locking with Kanghyun who had stood up from his guitar case, eyebrows furrowed. You looked at him, before rushing forward and pressing your lips to his.
You felt him mumble in surprise, but you didn’t let go as you wrapped your arms around his neck, smiling against his lips when he weaved his hands around your waist to pull you closer.
As you pulled away, eyes sparkling from how happy you were, Kanghyun smiled at you.
“I take it you like the song?” You rolled your eyes, before pulling him back into a kiss. Kanghyun kissed you back, ignoring the way his bandmates whistled and clapped from around him. Right now, in his universe, it was only him and you; his Regulus.

Kanghyun was out so he couldn't run through it with him
So he asked you
Listening to his voice it's so easy to get lost in it
A love song that made your heart skip a beat when he'd look at you
Your heart was turning into putty
"So how did you like it? Anything I should change? Should I sing lower? Higher?"
"You don't have to change anything really,, your voice is always so romantic. So romantic it has me ready to confess to the boy I like"
You said which quickly regretted as you saw both panic and curiousity in Yonghoon eyes
"You like someone?" Your eyes went wide
He hadn't picked up the courage yet to confess to you so here's his make or break moment
If you didn't like him he'd have his feelings fade away but he just wanted to know if you're friendship could turn into more like he'd hope
With confirmation he's the one you like
You'll never see that man smile more in his life I guarantee you.
Tumblr media
Harin
Never have you wished for him to be asleep more in your life
You swear your heart dropped when you found out he heard you
He was laying peacefully at the dorm getting ready to take a nap
He had almost fallen asleep
But then you came in the room and he didn't see who was walking in but he heard your voice
You had come over to drop off food for the members after finding out they hadn't had dinner yet due to being so busy
You saw Harin laying there peacefully getting ready to wake up the tall boy
But he looked so peaceful you didn't know if you should to tell him foods ready
You quietly said to yourself walking up to him
"You're lucky I have a crush on you or else I would be waking you up right now to eat food"
You said with a chuckle ruffling his hair lightly
Your jaw dropped as you saw Harins grin with closed eyes
"I like you too, thank you for being so considerate of my attempt at sleeping. can I still have some food?"
Tumblr media
Kanghyun
You and Kanghyun were trying to work on lyrics for a song
Trying to think of cure lyrics for a love song
You decided to mess around and look at pickup lines telling them to Kanghyun for lyric inspo
"If I could rearrange the alphabet to put u and i together I would" you said nudging his shoulder
"Gosh these pick up lines are so bad at this point you're telling me them just to flirt with me"
"Well how else am I gonna win you over?" You didn't realize how flirty that sounded until you saw the redness on his face, ears burning
"Did you just confess? Or are we joking around?" He said with a undetectable tone
"Whichever way you'd like to take it" No going back now
"Well I'll go with the first option and ask you on a date?"
"Sounds like a plan"
Intertwining hands you both felt warm inside
Tumblr media
Dongmyeong
Hanging out your outfits matched eachother without even planning
"We look like a couple!" He said with a giggle
You giggled omg and tried your best to say "Hopefully we can be to" under your breath as quiet as possible
But he still heard
"Wait for real? Please don't joke with me on this" he said with a small whine
Really turned into Casper (the friendly ghost) there realizing he heard you
All you could do was nod
He couldn't help but laugh
"if you like me so much you should pay for my coffee"
You couldn't even be mad or say no
Because his smile was just so bright

It’s only a matter of time before he notices, you know that. Yet you just can’t help yourself. Hyungu’s not doing anything special, but he has the power of making reading a book seem like the most interesting thing one could do. Sure, it’s not completely wrong, but it’s not typically perceived that way. You like watching him. Especially when he reads. He’s so calm, his face relaxed but focused on the words on the page nonetheless. What does the world of the story look like in his mind? What scenery does he imagine? Would you imagine the characters the same? There’s so many questions in your head…
“y/n?” you jerk at the sound of his voice and he chuckles lightly, “You were staring.” Caught. As expected.
“I’m sorry, I just like watching you when you read,” you admit, leaning closer to him. He smiles fondly as he leans back in his chair and opens his book again.
“I know. You’re the most loyal viewer of my reading lives,” he hums before he shifts his focus back to his book. You can’t deny that, but it’s not your fault he’s so mesmerizing.
You allow yourself to lean back in your chair again, shifting your gaze towards your own book lying closed on the table. Somehow you’re not in a reading mood today, but you like keeping him company anyway. You stroke the cover of the book, studying it closely. How strange, you think, just reading the name of the book brings you comfort. Perhaps that’s why it’s your favorite - or is it the other way around?
“Hyungu?” you say aloud before you can think. He makes a noise in response but that’s not really important.
“Hyungu,” you say again, smiling a little to yourself. It works even better than the book’s name. Just saying his name already feels like a wave of comfort washing over you. Your heart flutters at the realization. The confused look he’s giving you doesn’t help either.
“y/n? What is it, love?” he must be concerned, calling you that pet name. He always says it so gently, as if comforting you already, even if he doesn’t know whether there’s actually anything wrong. So many feelings over something so simple as a name.
“Nothing. I was just thinking,” you smile, “Just feeling a little sentimental.” He hums, shutting his book closed and putting it on the table.
“Wanna talk about it? It looks like you’re thinking hard,” he leans closer to you, and you mirror his pose, elbows propped on your knees and chin resting on your hands.
“Say my name,” you ask him, and he quirks a brow but does as you told him.
“Hyungu,” you say in turn, making him frown slightly. You giggle at his confusion, but then again you can’t really blame him. “Doesn’t that feel nice?”
“I don’t follow,” he laughs awkwardly, but his eyes show just how enamored he is.
“Being called and having someone to call you,” you explain, “I don’t know. It just came to my mind that I love calling your name. Or just calling you in general, whatever name I use, and I love it when you call me.” His expression softens as he leans closer, one of his hands coming up to cup your cheek. He strokes your skin so tenderly, love spilling from each little movement.
“You’re a wonder, you know that?” he breathes, smiling, “I guess you’re right. I like calling you, having someone to call and have someone call me. Especially you. You do it so naturally, like you really need me by your side. If we stood on opposite ends of the universe, I think I’d still hear your voice in the void.”
“Isn’t that the best feeling?” you grin and so does he.
“Yeah, it really is.”

ONEWE - Kanghyun x Y/N (angst)
enjoy!
From : Kang Pingu 🐧
- if you are done taking pictures with your family and friends, meet me in the classroom for a bit♡ -
you grinned when you received his message and excused yourself from your parents and friends before heading towards the classroom of the last year of your highschool life.
it was finally your graduation day and Hyungu planned to celebrate together after celebrating with your families respectively.
you arrived at the classroom but no one was there. you pouted and decided to wait by sitting on one of the desks. you scanned the classroom for the last time, absorbing every single detail of the place where you created bittersweet memories with your classmates. it was also the place where Hyungu confessed about his feelings to you.
you smiled widely as you recalled his bold yet funny confession. he put up a brave front but was actually so nervous that when you responded back to his feelings, he fell down because his knees got weak. your friends were quite worried when they heard you started dating Hyungu. well, Hyungu did not really have a good reputation, among the students and the teachers.
but you ensured your friends that you would be careful and that you were sure Hyungu was serious about your relationship.
you snapped out of your thoughts and decided to wait for Hyungu at the door. you peeked out to see if your boyfriend was already on his way to the classroom, but instead, a couple caught your eyes.
they were at the staircase, the girl was backfacing you so you did not see her face. the boy's head was also tilted to the side so his face was blocked too.
"oooh, a new couple? but really? at the stairs? i wonder who that guy is, he looks super familiar." you thought and was about to give the 'couple' their private space when the boy straightened up, revealing none other than Kang Hyungu. he smiled at the girl and stayed for a while as the girl patted his head before walking down the stairs towards your classroom.
you blinked a few times as you tried to process what you just witnessed. you felt your heart squeezed in pain as tears started flowing down your cheeks.
"did... did i just jinxed myself?". you mumbled to yourself. you quickly took your bag and wanted to leave quickly but Hyungu was faster.
he opened the door with a big smile but it quickly turned into worry when he saw you crying. "babe? what happened?". he asked softly as he approached you.
you avoided him and was about to exit the classroom when Hyungu grabbed your wrist as he balanced the box he was carrying with his other hand and his body.
"babe, what happened??". he asked again.
you sniffed and pulled your hand away. "you, all these while i thought you changed. but i was wrong. you are still the same playboy Kang Hyungu. old habits die hard, huh? you came here late because you were having a fun time with another girl? i should have listened to my friends. dating you was a mistake,".
Hyungu frowned, confused about what you were talking about.
"huh? what do you mean? i was late because i was preparing my presents for you,". Hyungu explained.
you frowned deeper at his words. "i saw everything, Hyungu. you don't have to lie! if i am not a good partner, then just tell me that, no need to cheat behind me, just break up with me!".
Hyungu was confused at your sudden burst of anger. "but you're the only one that i like! have you seen me flirting with others when i started dating you?".
you rolled your eyes and glared at him. "i wouldn't know, you might have done it when i'm not around!".
Hyungu sighed and ruffled his hair in frustration. "do you not trust me?". he asked.
"no, i don't.". you replied without hesitation. you gulped your pain when you see the hurt in his eyes.
"look into my eyes and tell me that you didn't feel any sincerity from me in these 5 months that we've been together." Hyungu asked with teary eyes.
your heart felt so painful. but you had to do what was best for you. you promised your friends to be careful so you were going to keep that promise.
"it must have been fun playing with me, right? just like how you played with other girls. i really thought i was the special person who could change you. but i was being pathetic. i'm just an idiot who fell for the school's infamous playboy.".
a tear finally fell on Hyungu's cheek. he was hurt. extremely hurt. he then stretched his arm to give you the box that he had been carrying since just now.
"i want to give some presents to congratulate you for graduation. please accept them." he managed to whisper.
you frowned at his sudden change of topic and slapped his hands away together with the box.
you heard something broke when the box made contact with the hard ground. if you didn't know any better, you would have thought that you just heard your heart shattered.
Hyungu froze on his spot as he stared at the box. you quickly ran out of the classroom before you softened back up for your ex.
and that was the last time you met Hyungu before the both of you moved on with your lives. you remembered to quickly block Hyungu's number and blocked him on every social medias that you had. you didn't want anything to do with him anymore.
you were embarrassed of yourself. you were so proud when you started dating Hyungu, you were so confident that he was serious about you. but at the end, it was just your imagination. he didn't change at all.
~4 years later~
after graduating from high school, you got accepted into your dream university and studied in Japan for 4 years majoring in journalism. writing has been your hobby since you were little and aiming to be a well-known journalist was your ambition.
it was not easy to leave things back at your home country behind you especially after getting your heart broken so harshly on your graduation day. but you believed working hard towards your dream was a good way to distract yourself from all the unnecessary drama.
you focused on school and excelled all your semesters. you became the best student and was given the honour of being the valedictorian of your cohort.
it was finally time for you to come home to your family. they did visit you a few times when you were in Japan, but the feeling of coming back home was different.
From : Yubi❤
-you're back in South Korea?! great timing, our class reunion is next Saturday. you better come after skipping 4 years of our reunion dinner !!! we all miss you🥺-
you sighed as you read the message from your close friend. you were not really someone who likes to socialise with others, it's true they were your highschool classmates, but it had been years since you've met them. you might be awkward.
From : Yubi❤
-if you even think of skipping, i'm gonna drag you out of your house😠-
you chuckled and rolled your eyes.
To : Yubi❤
-okay okay, i will come, just text me the venue when it's confirmed.-
you scanned the huge hotel and took a deep breath before walking through the grand entrance. "wow they must be rich to book such a fancy place." you mumbled as you went to the customer service counter to ask for the room number that was booked for your class dinner.
as the staff was looking through the lists, you couldn't help but check out the beautiful architecture. your gaze fell to the floor as you realised that each tile had a different design. "wow, this hotel is totally on another level.". you whispered as you analysed them one by one.
a pair of pink shoes stopped walking and caught your eyes. you raised an eyebrow and looked up slowly to see the owner of the pink shoes.
your breath hitched. you made eye contact with the person. the person's eyes widened as he saw you. just as he was about to walk towards you, a lady grabbed him by his arm and dragged him away, she probably didn't notice you who were a few metres away.
"oi Kanghyun!! will you hurry up and walk? they're all waiting for us in the room already!!". the lady called the person by his nickname.
your thoughts were interrupted when the staff tapped your shoulder gently. "your room number is 3. i will bring you there". you nodded and bowed slightly to thank the staff.
you were now in front of the room. loud excited voices could be heard from the inside. *such youthful energy* you thought and knocked on the door before opening it slowly.
the previous noise quietened down at your entrance. you were frozen at the door. *w--why are they staring at me*. you smiled awkwardly and waved your hand at them.
"hi?". the second you greeted, your former classmates cheered and some even ran to you and gave you hugs and pats. "y/n!! we missed you so much!" "y/n! you are finally home!" "welcome back!!" "how was school in Japan?".
"there there guys, y/n needs to sit first at least. your questions can wait. the evening is still young!". Yubi came to your rescue. you gave her a grateful smile. Yubi smiled back and hugged you tightly. "welcome back!!".
you caught up with your friends. some were working full time at big companies, some were getting engaged, some just finished their studies, like you. you were engrossed in your conversation when a word, or a name, from the table next to you caught your ear.
"Kang Hyungu, how many girlfriends have you had in uni? still a playboy aren't you?" one of the boys joked.
your hand curled up into a fist. you were about to shoot the other table a glare when the lady who dragged Hyungu earlier defended him.
"this guy? trust me, he never dated anyone after highschool. he focused on his studies and never looked at girls. he rejected everyone who confessed to him. i was shocked too, you know being his classmate in highschool and seeing his abrupt change in uni, a whole new experience."
your former classmates widened their eyes as they looked at Hyungu, who was eating silently. his composure was still as cool and cold as ever.
"you are kidding !! he couldn't even be single for a week back then! what do you mean he never dated after highschool?".
the lady, Ara, nodded her head and sighed. "i don't know who broke his heart so bad he didn't even want to date or befriend other girls. that's why i'm stuck to his side." Ara explained and knocked Hyungu's head. Hyungu pouted and rubbed his head as he looked up.
after eavesdropping the conversation, you were surprised too. you turned to look into the direction of his table and saw his pouty face. you gulped. "cute..." you mumbled and quickly turned away when the both of you accidentally made your second eye contact for today.
you almost forgot he was your former classmate too, of course he would be here. you were just too busy with your close friends that you didn't realise his presence earlier.
from your peripheral vision, you sensed Hyungu still staring at you. after a few seconds, you finally let out the breath you were holding in unconciously when you see him turn his head away.
"bye bye y/n!! see you again soon!!" Yubi bid you goodbye as her boyfriend came to pick her up. you waved back at her and waited by the entrance for your ride.
"y/n?". you felt your head tingled as you heard a familiar gentle voice calling your name. you looked up from your phone only to be greeted by none other than Kang Hyungu.
"Hyu--Hyungu... it's been a while". you managed to breathe out.
Hyungu gave a small smile and nodded.
it was awkward. after all, you separated on bad terms and never contacted each other ever since.
Hyungu moved closer to you. his expression looked sad yet happy.
"can i hug you?". Hyungu suddenly asked. you bit your lips. you hesitated before nodding slightly. letting him hug you won't hurt, right?
wrong.
when his arms wrapped around you, your emotions from 4 years ago surged up again. his gentle yet tight hug. his warm scent. his soft face buried into the crook of your neck.
you were frozen. everything was too overwhelming.
"i mis--" Hyungu's words were interrupted when someone called out your name.
you snapped out of your zone and gently pulled yourself away from Hyungu. Hyungu let you go hesitantly as he wiped his teary eyes and looked at the person who called your name.
"ah Harin!! did you wait for long?" you approached the person earlier and patted his shoulder. Harin shook his head and looked at Hyungu.
you thought it was only right to introduce them to each other. "Harin, this is my former classmate, Kang Hyungu, and Hyungu, this is Ju Harin, we went to the same university". Hyungu gulped and bowed slightly towards Harin.
"ni--nice to meet you. thank you for taking care of y/n! i--i should excuse myself now.". Hyungu said as he quickly left you and Harin. Harin shrugged his shoulders and led you to his car.
~
it had been so long since you came back home, you finally had the time to walk around your neighbourhood. you realised that in the span of 4 years, alot of things could change. you continued walking in the homey streets until you reached your favourite bookshop. you smiled widely and quickly entered it. you were happy the shop was still there.
your body automatically brought you over to the comics section. you enjoyed all sorts of genres but comics were your stress reliever. your eyes widened at some new collections.
"ooh, this one looks interesting". you mumbled as you picked up the new crime comic. "that one is good, you should read it". you jumped at the sudden voice beside your ear.
you quickly turned to your side. Hyungu backed away abit and gave a cheeky smile.
"wh-what are you doing here?". you asked abit too loud than usual because you were shocked. Hyungu blinked and chuckled with a pfft.
"i am here to buy some books, then i saw you looking at that good comic so i decided to greet you. yo!".
you nodded awkwardly and wanted to walk away but Hyungu's words stopped you.
"you know, i can suggest you other new good comics that will surely suit your taste!". you bit your lip and shook your head. "it's okay, i just wanted to look around. thanks for your offer". you bowed and quickly walked away.
Hyungu watched your back moved away from him. his shoulders dropped as he pouted. *did i scare her away?* he thought as he went to the cashier to pay for his books.
you felt blood rushing to your face as you exited the shop. you totally forgot that Hyungu also regularly visits that shop. heck, it used to be one of the places where you always went to during your dates.
despite his bad boy image, Hyungu was surprisingly an avid reader. he always had the best recommendations. you were tempted by his offer but you thought it was weird to suddenly be close again with him.
your mood was abit down after the encounter as old memories came flooding back to your mind. *ah, i thought 4 years were enough to forget about him. but meeting him twice right after coming back like this is not helping at all* you thought as you walked back home.
~
you tapped your foot on the ground, following the rythm of the song that you were listening to as you waited for Harin in the mall.
you planned to meet up at 2pm but he was abit late so you waited for him inside since the weather was hot.
"we meet again!" you heard as you felt one of your earpiece being pulled out softly. you jumped and turned only to be greeted by none other than, you guessed it, Kang Hyungu.
you frowned and took out your other earpiece. "at this rate, i feel like you're stalking me". Hyungu chuckled and shook his head. "no no, i was here since morning, i had some stuff to do, and then i saw you here alone".
"i'm actually waiting for Harin. ugh why is he so late? i'm hungry.."
when he heard the name, Hyungu's smile was gone. his current expression was unreadable. "oh, well then, i will wait here with you". you let Hyungu be as you scanned the crowd for Harin.
"how was Japan?".
"it was great and refreshing. school was okay too, abit hard but i survived. how about you? you graduated from uni too right recently?". Hyungu nodded.
"i started working at the music shop here, today is actually my off day but i had to fix some things so yeah.."
your mouth turned into an "O" shape as you heard him. he was very interested and quite talented in music back in highschool, it was not a surprise for him to pursue something related to music.
Hyungu saw a familiar face among the crowd. "oh there's H--" he cut his own words when he saw a lady beside Harin, her arm linked with Harin's.
*he is late because he is with another girl? he is cheating on y/n at the place that they're meeting up at?? how dare he?* Hyungu thought as he tried to block your view from Harin. *i gotta protect y/n*.
"yo y/n!! y/n?" Hyungu heard Harin's voice but he still stood in front of you, blocking Harin from seeing you.
you frowned and gently pushed Hyungu aside. "oh Harin! you are finally here!!!" you slapped Harin's arm and quickly turned to the lady beside him.
"Dani!!! you are here too!" you greeted and hugged the lady. Dani hugged you back and passed something to you. "i'm sorry,,, i misplaced the souvenier i bought you so Harin had to search for it with me, that's why we were late.". you cooed at Dani and patted her head. "aww it's okay, thank you for the gift!".
Hyungu looked at the scene with a confused look. you finally remembered him being there and introduced him to Dani. "Dani, this is Hyungu, my former highschool classmate, Hyungu, this is Dani, my former housemate back in Japan!".
Hyungu frowned. *Harin is cheating on y/n with her former housemate?!?!*.
"oii mr boyfriend, where are we going to eat at?". Dani turned to Harin and asked.
Hyungu's eyes widened. *huh???huh???*
"you and y/n are not dating each other?" Hyungu blurted out as he pointed towards you and Harin.
you and Harin looked at each other and shivered in disgust at the same time. "never!! why would you even think that?!" you asked. Harin quickly wrapped his arm around Dani and shook his head. "Dani is the only one for me".
"then why did he pick you up the other night?".
you bursted a pfft, Hyungu's face was hilarious. he was furious and confused at the same time.
"the three of us had plans after my dinner, so Harin picked me up. Dani was in the car too. Harin, being the gentleman he is, volunteered to escort me personally to the car".
Dani couldn't help but laugh too. you were the one who introduced her to Harin anyways, it was funny to think that someone misunderstood Harin and your relationship.
"ok that aside, let's go eat, i'm so hungryy" you whined and linked your arms with Harin and Dani. Hyungu's eyes twitched when he saw how comfortable you were with Harin.
"Hyungu should join us too!! the more the merrier!" Dani invited Hyungu. Hyungu was about to reject but seeing your flustered expression, he quickly accepted the invitation. he kind of missed seeing this side of you.
you ended up walking beside Hyungu while the lovely couple led the way to Harin's recommended restaurant.
the walk was quiet between the two of you. Hyungu felt abit guilty for being selfish, he accepted the invitation, totally ignoring your feelings.
"if you don't want me to join, i can back away now." Hyungu said. you quickly shook your head and unconciously tugged his sleeve. "i don't mind.. please join us". Hyungu grinned at your response. "alright, i will stay".
as you arrived at the restaurant, Dani excused herself to the bathroom. you decided to help Harin with the orders while Hyungu reserved a table for the four of you. the other reason you volunteered to help was so that you didn't have to be alone with Hyungu.
Dani came back from the bathroom and went to Hyungu. "oh y/n is helping Harin? then i will sit here and chat with you!".
Hyungu gave a small smile. he was still abit awkward around other girls if he was alone. "Hyungu, you like y/n don't you?" Dani attacked with an innocent smile.
Hyungu was taken aback but nodded anyways. like was an understatement. you were in his mind every second for the whole 4 years, meeting you once again made his dull world colourful again.
Dani giggled and poked Hyungu's arm. "you are so obvious. don't worry, i will help you!" Dani winked and quickly backed away when you and Harin came with your food. Hyungu pursed his lips into a thin line. he didn't know what Dani was up to.
you sat beside Dani, acrossed from Hyungu. you focused on your food and Dani, trying your best not to stare at the handsome Hyungu.
"so y/n, do you have anyone you like now?" Dani randomly asked you. your hand paused from picking up food for abit before chuckling awkwardly. "hahaha what a question, Dani. hmm i don't think i like anyone now". you swore your voice was trembling.
Dani smirked slightly at your response and was about to turn to Hyungu when Harin chirped into the conversation. "eh? how about that Jungwoo guy? don't you have a crush on him?".
you gulped as you felt your whole face became warm. "Ju-Jungwoo? he is cute, but i just admire him from afar. i don't like like him..."
Harin raised an eyebrow. "really? then why are you so emba--" his words were cut off when Dani kicked his leg under the table. she signalled him towards Hyungu and widened her eyes as if saying "have some sense Ju Harin!!". Harin pouted and continued eating his food.
there was definitely tension between you and Hyungu now. Dani tried to lighten up the mood with another topic as her plan A failed. she really wanted to help Hyungu.
after the meal, you and Harin started discussing some matters related to your future job, which was the main agenda for today's meet up. you switched seats with Dani so that you were opposite of Harin.
Dani called out Hyungu's name softly. "sorry for earlier. i just wanted to help but Harin interrupted. anyway, i'm gonna move to plan B later." Hyungu frowned and glanced at you and Harin who were engrossed in the discussion before leaning closer to the table. "what exactly are you planning??". Hyungu whispered.
Dani smirked and whispered her ideas. Hyungu listened carefully and processed her words. "so, what do you think?" Hyungu slowly nodded, agreeing to her plan.
it was finally time to separate. while Harin and Dani were going back by car, your house was just a walking distance from the mall.
"oh! Hyungu, do you have anything after this? why don't you walk y/n home?"
you almost choked on your own saliva and quickly shook your head. "i-i can go home by myself". Hyungu patted your head and gave a big smile. "i can, no, i want to walk you home!".
you sighed in defeat and nodded. "fine then. thanks Harin and Dani for today! and i'll email you the file later, Harin." Harin nodded and bid you goodbye before leaving with Dani.
you looked at Hyungu and pointed your finger awkwardly to the direction that you were going to. Hyungu walked beside you in silence. you too walked quietly, selfishly enjoying the warmth of his company.
"it feels like we are back to highschool days where i always walk you home". Hyungu started.
you just listened, not responding to his words. "we should go visit the bookshop again together one day. i remember how you would always frown slightly when you read the description of some comics, not because you hated them, but you actually loved them that your expressions couldn't be controlled. also the little pout when the volume you wanted was sold out and we have to either go to another shop or buy them online. oh and remember when--"
"that was all 4 years ago, Hyungu. can we not talk about it anymore?" you said with a slight firmness in your voice.
Hyungu paused for abit before chuckling. "for these 4 years, i've been trying to think of what you meant by me having fun with another girl that's why i was late" your fists curled into a fist as you felt your head become heavy.
"i really like you, y/n. i was serious about our relationship back then. you changed me, you were the only one that i like, i never look at other girls when i started dating you. i was hurt when you said those things to me. i really didn't understand"
you stopped in your tracks as you faced Hyungu with teary eyes. he really dared to lie to you even after 4 years?
you were about to hit his chest but he grabbed your wrist. "i finally figured it out".
Hyungu ensured that he had wrapped the big box of gifts for you properly. he carried the box carefully and walked down the staircase towards your classroom.
it was a bit difficult for him to see what was in front due to the box and Hyungu accidentally bumped into someone. he panicked for abit and quickly hugged the box to his body tightly.
"sorry, i didn't see you there!" Hyungu apologised.
the person he bumped into also apologised. "ah Hyungu? sorry! i was in a rush. oh no your hair! are you meeting anyone now?".
Hyungu's hair was a bit out of place after bumping into Ara. "is it bad? i'm meeting my girlfriend!" Hyungu asked, worried about his appearance. he wanted to look his best for you.
Ara reached out her hand to help but Hyungu leaned away. "it's okay, i can do it by myself".
Ara rolled her eyes and flicked Hyungu's forehead. "yeah but you can't see yourself, i can. here squat down abit, you have to look extra handsome for you girlfriend! after bumping into you, the least i could do is help you look presentable".
Hyungu hesitated but squatted for abit and tilted his head for Ara to help. Ara fixed Hyungu's hair and patted his hair for the last step.
"all done! now go impress your pretty girlfriend!"
Hyungu grinned cheekily at the thought of you and thanked Ara before heading towards the classroom.
and that was when the harsh break up happened.
~
a tear fell down your face as you finished listening to his explanation.
"it was all just a misunderstanding! and i totally understand you, i should have been more careful. i really really like you, y/n. i was sincere for all those months. you heard Ara the other day right? i didn't date anyone at all after you. thoughts about you occupied my mind 24/7. i wanted to reach out to you but.. you blocked me on all platforms. i came to your house a few times but your mother said you didn't want to meet anyone. the next time i visited, you already went to Japan. i tried asking your close friends on how to contact you but, they didn't like me so they didn't help me at all. they said i didn't deserve to talk to you anymore because i hurt you. so i waited for fate to bring us back together. and that night, when i saw your face after so long, i felt so happy".
more tears flowed down your face. Hyungu wiped them away with his thumb as he felt himself tearing up too.
"i'm..... i'm sorry. i'm sorry. i'm sorry" was all you managed to say to Hyungu as you started sobbing into his chest. Hyungu hugged you as he rubbed your back.
"can we go back to our happy moment, y/n? i missed you so much." Hyungu whispered as he sniffed.
you pulled yourself away from Hyungu and rubbed your eyes before cupping Hyungu's face with one of your hands. you carressed his face gently with your thumb and shook your head.
"that was all 4 years ago, Hyungu. we can never go back to those happy time. things aren't the same anymore"
Hyungu frowned and leaned into your palm. "then we can start over. things don't have to be the same. i just want to be with you again".
you let his face go. "my feelings for you are not the same anymore, Hyungu. how can we start over if my heart is already closed?"
"you're lying." Hyungu said as his voice trembled.
you chuckled bitterly. "i'm sorry for hurting you Hyungu. i really am. i just, want to focus on building up my career now. i was offered a job back at Japan and i don't want to lose this opportunity. i can't afford to be distracted by relationships. i can't accept your feelings like how i accepted them in highschool. i have other commitments to focus on now. i'm...sorry"
Hyungu clutched onto his chest as he felt nothing but pain in his heart.
you slowly walked away from Hyungu but was stopped by Hyungu's soft voice.
"i won't disturb you anymore but i just want to know one thing. do you hate me?".
you gulped and took a deep breath before turning around to look at his pained face.
"of course not, Hyungu. i will never hate you."
Hyungu gave a small smile despite tears falling down his face non-stop.
"thank you y/n".
you turned away as your feet quickly led you back to your house. you ran up to your room and locked your door before breaking down fully.
you buried your face in between your knees as your sobs echoed in the room.
*you don't deserve to talk to me? i'm the ONE who doesn't deserve to talk to you, Hyungu* you thought.
Hyungu was so gentle and kind to you, he loved you so much but just because of your insecurity, you ruined everything.
you didn't even let him explain things back then and said hurtful words to him. and yet he continued liking you and wanting to clear up the misunderstanding even after years of not meeting each other.
you didn't deserve such a kind person. you didn't deserve his love. you were embarrassed to even face Hyungu now after knowing the truth.
you hated yourself for again escaping from reality. you contacted Harin, asking for the job process to be quickened.
*this will make me forget about him. this will help me forget about him* you chanted and fell asleep from the exhaustion of crying and from the pain in your heart for lying to Kang Hyungu.

Fight Me?
Tumblr media
Request: @yukine-smx  Hi! Can you please write a fluff oneshot for Kanghyun from Onewe? Thank you 💕
Pairing: Kang Hyungu x Reader Genre: Fluff, Comedy, Non-Idol Au Warning: Hospitals, sickness WC: 1.2K
A/N: I’ve been want to use this prompt for ages! So when I got this request I figured I might as well use it for Hyungu! I could totally see him doing something like this. I hope you enjoy!
This sucked.
The beeping of your heart monitor echoed through the room. When you had come to the hospital after passing out at work, you had expected them to say "oh you're just overworking yourself! Go home and get some rest, drink fluids" all that crap. But nooooo, here you were laying in an uncomfortable hospital bed, and you felt terrible. It wasn't just because of the sickness, but because of your own thoughts. You were upset with yourself for getting sick during the busiest time of year, you had bills to pay and those bills would only get worse the longer you were in this hospital.
Needless to say you were in quite a sour mood, well when you were awake at least. This was your second day in the hospital and you had spent quite a bit of time sleeping. When you weren't sleeping you were staring blankly up at the tv screen, barely paying attention to the reruns of Supernatural.
The sound of the door opening distracted you from the current monster hunt playing out on the screen, and you watched one of your nurses, Hyungu, enter the room. He wasn't the most talkative nurse you'd ever had, especially not this weekend. The day nurse, Dongmyeong, he could practically talk your ear off, Hyungu though was a lot more soft spoken around you. Always making sure you were feeling alright and bringing you more water if you needed any. Though, you were a bit surprised to see him while the sun was still up.
Unfortunately for him, you were in a worse mood than normal that day. After all, you hadn't seemed to be getting any better and the little tube shoved in your nose to help you breathe was getting on your last nerve. So when he stepped closer and asked how you were doing you instantly responded with.
"Fight me." You weren't sure why that was your response, but it seemed like the proper thing to say. At least to your irritated and sick clouded brain. To your surprise, a small smile flashed across his face and he moved forward to adjust your pillows to help you get a little more comfortable.
"Maybe later."
***
The next day was full of pills and boredom, you were coughing a lot more than you had been previously. So the doctors had tried to give you something for that, and it seemed to be working. The only issue was that it tasted absolutely terrible, and you had to take it three times a day until the coughing settled down.
So come nine pm, in comes Hyungu once again. His bleached blonde hair framed his face nicely, and if you were being honest with yourself...he was pretty cute. The only thing that sucked was that he was here to give you more of the absolutely disgusting medicine, so you were less than happy to see him.
Taking the disgusting liquid caused a new round of coughs to escape your throat, not from your sickness but from the taste of the nasty stuff. So once again spoke, doing your best to get the words out between your coughs.
"Fight me."
Just as he did yesterday, Hyungu smiled softly at you, helping you sit up more as you coughed. Once the fit had passed he handed you a fresh glass of water, watching as you slowly gulped it down. The liquid burning as it hits the irritated insides of your throat. Once you finished the glass, he took it back and refilled it before setting it on your dinner tray.
"I won't fight you," he began. You felt your eyebrows furrow as you stared up at him. Now even more irritated with your sickened state. "because I know you would win."
***
It had been almost a solid week in the hospital before you were let out, and you were certain that your bank account would regret this sickness for the next few decades. As your mother helped you pack up the things you had brought with you, you heard the door to your room open once more. Turning, you were surprised to see Hyungu entering with a...starbucks cup in his hand.
His soft smile plastered onto his face once more, and you were grateful that now you at least looked like a normal human. Instead of the sick gremlin you had been for the past week.
"I'm glad you're feeling better." He said, extending his hand out to pass the coffee to you. During your time in bed, you had mentioned how badly you had been craving your favorite coffee, and to your surprise, that was exactly what he had brought you. You were shocked that he had remembered something you had complained about in passing.
"I have to get back to my other patients now but, I hope you get home safe. Stay healthy." He was gone almost as quickly as he arrived.
"Well he was a sweet boy!" Your mother cooed, pulling your duffel bag over her shoulder as she had refused to let you carry the time. Saying that you had been in bed for so long that you needed to build up your strength again first. You tried to argue with her but she absolutely refused to listen.
Taking another sip of your coffee, the two of you exited the room and made your way down to the lobby. Just as you were about to exit the building you glanced down at the cup, noticing something written in black sharpie on the little cardboard holder.
"Fight me? xxx-xxx-xxxx - Hyungu"
"Did....did I just seduce someone with drool and bad lungs??" You muttered to yourself staring at the cup in utter awe.
***
"I hope you weren't waiting too long!"
"No, I actually just got here myself."
The lobby of the theater was almost empty, as it usually was at noon on Wednesdays. No one went to the movies that early, especially not during a week day! Well, no one but you and Hyungu that is. But that's how life worked when you were dating a graveyard shift nurse.
Taking his hand in yours, you dragged him behind you to the snack counter to get popcorn.
"Fight me to see who pays for the popcorn?" You questioned, raising a brow impishly at the taller male. He laughed at your proposition and shook his head.
"I would, but I know you'll win." He retorted, putting an arm around your shoulder and pulling you close so that he could press a light kiss to your forehead. This caused you to pout childishly, even crossing your arms for dramatic effect.
The action seemed to work and he looked confused, a small innocent look on his face as he tilted his head. Questioning you even without words. You almost couldn't hold back your laughter as you spoke up.
"You missed. Now I get to fight you." Before he could respond, you grabbed his collar and pulled him to your level. Pressing your lips firmly against his.
Looking back on it, you were glad that you got sick. If you had never spent that week in the hospital then you would have never found someone that you would fight the world for. But now you had Hyungu in your life and you would take down the sun, stars, and the moon if it meant he would give you that small shy smile.

Genre: Friendship fluff, angst

Theme Song: Day6 - Congratulations
[A/N: First ofall, special thanks to Jojo, Liana, Pauli and Lou who motivated me and helped me a lot with the translation and correction. Also, thanks to the person who made that beautiful cover. Second of all, English isn’t my first language and this is the first time that I wrote in English. Please tell me if you find mistakes. Last but not least, I want to become better at writing and need some criticism. I would really appreciate if you’d tell me what you think about my OS.]
 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Thought we were meant to be.
Pain.
I thought that you belonged to me.
Tears.
I’ll play the fool instead.
Loneliness.
Oh, but then I know that this is the end.
Truth.
Plain truth. A truth that seemed  so untrue, felt so wrong, that everything else seemed unreal too. That everything in front of my eyes became blurred. That took my safe place and let me break down. That took my breath. That destroyed me. That took away my happiness and my joy for life. With a sigh I turned off the music, took the headphones out of my ears and put them back into my pocket.
My gaze followed by a small leaf that slowly slid down into the shallow river in front of me. Single drops found their way onto the leaf and let it shine slightly in the moonlight. A full moon. Formerly a symbol for inner warmth and satisfaction. Now a fading memory which filled me with coldness and dissatisfaction.
Generally, the whole place shone with beauty. At least for others. For me it was just a grey, dreary image of pain.
“Where’s she?” An unknown voice pulled me out of my thoughts. A girl. She whispered. Why was she whispering? Who was she?
I shrugged and acted like I don’t know what she was talking about: “Who?”
She came closer. I didn’t look at her. My eyes were still fixed on the leaf. “That girl” She was still whispering.
“Which girl?” I replied, trying to sound emotionless. She sat next to me.
“You were often here together. But only when it was full moon. 25 times or something.” She took my hand but I pulled it away again.
“27 times.”, I corrected her. She took off her shoes and stuck her feet into the water below us. Goosebumps spread over her legs, which made me smile. Even when it is summer, the water is cold at night.
"2 years and 3 months. And today is the first time that you’re alone here. Why?“ She had stopped whispering. I didn’t  know her, but her voice seemed familiar to me. “How do you know about it that much?” I remained emotionless. She giggled. “You’re very fixated on her, aren’t you? Another reason why it’s weird she isn’t here. I came here everyday for the last 3 years. It’s a part of my evening routine. I can’t fall asleep otherwise.” She explained to me. I looked at her. Now her eyes were on the leaf that was slowly being carried away by the slight flow of the river. Unlike me, she didn’t seem to be inhibited. Not frantic. Rather dreamy.
“Why are you even interested?” I asked confused. She just shrugged and slowly moved her feet in the water, propelling the leaf. “I’m just curious.” I sighed and ran my fingers stressfully through my hair.
“Not here.” I got up to leave, but was held on. “Please don’t go.” Just like her eyes, her voice was pleading. I just sighed again, but sat down again.
“Thank you. I didn’t want to annoy you and certainly didn’t scare you away.” I nodded because I didn’t have the strength to answer with words.
I searched the riverbed with my eyes. The leaf was already washed away by the flow of the river. Gone. Just like her. The water in front of my eyes made slight waves as small drops of water hit it. Tears. My tears.
“It’s because of her, am I right?” She put an arm around me after I nodded weakly. Yes, it was because of her. Yuri. Lee Yuri. The reason, the only reason I was here this day. The reason why I’ve been already here 27 times before. Yuri, the reason for my tears. For my pain. But at the same time someone I owe my life to.
“Will you tell me what happened?” She whispered again. “Why are you whispering?” I asked without paying any attention to her question. “To instill trust.”, she replied calmly, still whispering, “So that you feel more secure. And more welcome. To keep your inner self warm.” At the end she stopped whispering, but remained quiet and calm.
She pulled me closer to her, into her arms. I didn’t do anything against that, even though it was a strange, unfamiliar feeling. After a short time, she gently stroked my back. Enjoyable, but also unusual.
“I don’t know.” I replied after a while. This time I was the one who whispered. “What do you not know?” She asked a little confused. “Whether I’ll tell you what happened or nor.” I clarified, as I laid my head shyly on her shoulder. “That’s okay. Tell me what you want and remain silent about the things that make you feel uncomfortable. The most important thing is that you feel good.” She assured me. I put my arms around her and pulled her into a shy hug, after which she gently ruffled my hair and giggled. A slight, reserved smile crept onto my lips, which is why I finally started to recount: “We were together.”
Her movements slowed down a little bit. “You and the girl?” she inquired. I nodded and continued: “Yuri. That’s her name. Lee Yuri. She was my girlfriend.” I sighed. “My first one, I want to mention. I was used to get fooled by my friends, or rather classmates, because I was the only one who hasn’t had already a girlfriend, but that never changed anything. I just didn’t fall in love. And even if I did, I probably would have been too shy to speak to the person.”
She tightened the hug a bit, which startled me at first, but then I enjoyed the closeness and attention of another person. Even if I still didn’t want to admit it to myself, I knew that it was exactly what I needed.
“What about her? How did you get to know her?” She wanted to know. “It’s a pretty cheesy story, I think.” I uttered while I laughed shyly. “Who doesn’t like cheesy love stories?” She smiled encouragingly. Even though I wasn’t looking at her face because my head was still on her shoulder, I could hear it in her voice. “Well, that’s right...” I started a little shyly. “You probably noticed it already, but playing the guitar is a passion of mine.” She nodded. “You played here a lot for her. At least 10 times.” I smiled a little and continued talking: “13 times, to be exact. At least here.” I sighed heavily again.
“But to get back to the story, I’m already playing for years and I do it really often and I really enjoy it. Even before I knew her. I came here often when I had time. Mostly during the day, but also sometimes in the evening. Just rarely at nighttime. This place is beautiful, but probably not beautiful enough to go out in the evening. And probably too quiet for young people. There were rarely a lot of people here, if anyone was here at all. So, an almost perfect place to calm down and let your thoughts stray. I think most people feel the same way, but for me calming down means to pursue my passion, as in playing my guitar. I often covered songs. Songs that got stuck my head all day long or songs that simply described my current mood. But sometimes it happened that I just played anything. Not a special song but anything that went trough my head and that feels right in that moment. Whenever I did this, I just ignored what it sounded like and played how I felt. It was winter, about a year before we got together, when she sat down next to me. It was just evening, but since it was winter, it was already as dark as if it was midnight. Basically, it was similar to today. Full moon, dark and this place. The only difference was, that it was way colder and I had my guitar with me. Like every time during winter, I took heating pads to warm my hands in between so that it didn’t hurt when I plucked the strings. It’s because I’m this cliché guitar player who has incredibly sensitive hands.” I laughed briefly.
“Not just sensitive hands.” The girl murmured. I gave her a quick, confused look, but since she made no move to explain, I thought it would be better to just leave it at that and tell my story: “I usually go back home when those pads have cooled down. But this day it was different. I felt that it wasn’t time to leave. I didn’t want to go. So, I gritted my teeth and struggled through the pain. Of course, the pain affected my play. I often gambled away and took too much time between the individual notes until my hands were ready again. I didn’t know if she was there more often and had heard me, or maybe she just walked casually by that day. It doesn’t matter. The only important thing is she was there and she noticed something was wrong. She came to me and took my hands. Her hands were very warm and after a short while this warmth spread onto my hands. She said something like ‘Now play something for me, little Penguin!’, which of course I did.”
I closed my eyes to be able to recall the scene. The tears came again. I missed her. I missed her so much. I needed her. I still loved her.
“Why did she call you penguin?” She whispered again. Doubtless because she had noticed I started to cry. “She said I remind her of this animated penguin from that children’s series, Pingu. She wasn’t the first to feel that way. In fact, penguin was kind of an occasional nickname of mine before.  However, since it has always been difficult for me to speak to people and I’ve never really had any friends, I no longer have anyone to call me that. Unfortunately.” I blushed slightly and pressed my face carefully into her shoulder.
“Hasn’t anyone ever spoke to you on their own?” She questioned incredulously. “Of course, they did. There were a few. Mostly others who were never really popular in the class or something. Sure, for what other reasons should you talk to the ‘Weirdo’ when you have another choice and can talk to someone else? But that never became a really close friendship either. I’m not usually that kind of person who talks a lot.” I laughed a little helplessly, firmly convinced she would think I’m a liar.
“I’m even more proud that you can tell me all this that detailed and comprehensive, you cute penguin.” She mentioned, clearly proud. She didn’t seem to be lying, which calmed me down but made be blush even more. “You don’t have to be embarrassed to be a cute penguin.”, she giggled.
“I am not cute.” I contradicted in a pouting tone. “Oh, you are not? And what do you want to call it that you’ve been lying in my arms and telling me about your worries for the last half an hour instead?” I shrugged. “A coward.”, I replied, “Or being stupid. After all, we don’t know each other.” She sighed and released the hug to look me in the eyes. “Hey, don’t say that. Cowards are the ones who fail to open their hearts and get help. And stupid are those who know they need and can get help, but don’t accept it. You’re not stupid because you opened your heart to a stranger.” She trembled, but her voice was firm.
“Are you cold?” I asked her, ignoring her words. “Doesn’t matter.” She responded just as firmly, but this time without trembling. “It does. I answered you, now it’s your turn. And please be honest.” She nodded hesitantly but seemed to doubt whether it was a good idea to answer. I took off my jacket and put it with the words “It’s very thin, but still better that nothing.” carefully over her shoulders. “But now you’re cold!” She protested compassionate. “That doesn’t matter. You’ve already done so much for me, I should retaliate! And girls become cold way faster than boys and freeze more, so everything is fine.” I smiled gently at her while saying that. “But then at least I want to wrap you in my arms again.” She demanded stubbornly. Softly giggling, I put my head back on her shoulder, my arms around her, and waited for her arms to do the same to me.
“Then tell me, penguin, how did you two get together?” I closed my eyes again and projected the picture back in front of my eyes. “I played something for her. Ed Sheeran’s Castle on the Hill. A wonderful song in my opinion. Like most of his songs. She felt quite the same and therefore asked me to play another song by him afterwards. Of course, I did it. I played his songs until my hands froze again. And I sang individual passages a few times as well.” My cheeks turned red again. “I really like to sing, but I don’t do it that often. I’m just too shy for that. And unlike playing the guitar, singing is just a hobby and not a passion to me. But after my hands and hers were cold like ice and I just couldn’t play the guitar anymore, we stayed here anyway. Neither me nor she left. While I was playing she leaned against me and put her head on my shoulder. I-it was kind of like what I’m doing with you right now. Only that she was sitting next to me and not that she was laying in my arms.”
I was quiet for a moment and waited for her reaction. She seemed to notice that I was waiting for something and began to stroke my back. “Cute. Did you like it as much as I do?” She asked calmly. “It was a bit weird. I never really felt the need to take care of anyone. I was never the kind of person who likes to wrap someone in my arms.” I looked up to the sky where the full moon was shining at me. “Rather the one someone takes care of? The kind of person someone wrapped in their arms?” She questioned. I nodded slowly as an answer. “That suits you a lot better.” She grinned. “And it’s better for me too.” She replied, hugging me tightly.
“Why didn’t you tell her that back then?” I shrugged. “I liked her. She was nice to me and warmed up my hands. And she was the one who started the conversation. I also was hopeful. Hopeful because I thought I might have a chance to have a friendship again. A real friendship. A close friendship. I didn’t want to mess up everything right away, so I just did things that were unusual for me.” It was quiet between us for a moment. I went through our whole story again in my mind. For the seventh time today. I relived all the feelings I had. And I wept away the tears again.
“What kind of things?” She sounded hoarse. No, she sounded like she wanted to hide something. As if she was suppressing something.
“What’s wrong?” She didn’t answer.
“Tell me what kind of things you did.” She demanded.
“Tell me what’s wrong.” I repeated.
She gave up and promised: “Later. Promise. But it’s your turn first.”
I was okay with it and started to enumerate: “You should know that after this evening we became really close friends and I wanted to maintain this friendship as long as possible. So, I took on the role of the person who started the conversation. We gave each other our phone number and after a few days on that we spent a lot of time together, I started some kind of ritual. She was the kind of person that wakes up really late while I was the kind of person that wakes up really early in the morning. So, I wished her a good morning every morning. And we had a phone call every evening. She asked me to play the guitar or to sing for her. Or just to speak, because the sound of my voice helped her a lot with falling asleep. I would be lying if I’d say that I didn’t wish something like that for myself. Someone who takes care of me and makes sure that I can fall asleep well. As I said, I’ve never seen myself in the role of the one caring for someone else. But to maintain the friendship with her, it was worth it to me. Then she was a big fan of going to some club or bar in the evening, while I preferred to go to places like this and enjoy the silence. But because I wanted to make her happy, I often came with her to those places. When we were in a relationship, we agreed that we would always spend full moons here and enjoy the silence. But in general, she was more of a fan of places where there are many people, where it was loud and especially when there was alcohol, which I don’t like at all. And she also thought that the man or boy in a relationship, whether it was a friendship or a real relationship, is the more dominant and the one who takes care of the woman or the girl. Maybe that applies to the most, but to me not at all.”
She seemed to be deep in thoughts, which I concluded from the fact that she didn’t react to my words and her movements had slowed down considerably. Since I didn’t want to disturb her, I just enjoyed the moment in silence. The warmth she gave me though the hug and the beautiful view.
“Didn’t you ever tell her you weren’t like that?” She broke the silence after a while. Still relaxed, I shook my head. “Why?” I straightened up a little and answered her question: “I liked her. I really did. So much that at some point I started loving her. More than I’ve ever loved anything or anyone. More than I’ve ever expected to love something or someone. She was the first and of course, the only girl I’ve ever fallen in love with. To whom I’ve given my heart and dedicated all my feelings. The first person to be in my thoughts all day and in my dreams all night. The first whose mere thought kept making me smile broadly and made my heart beat faster. The feelings completely overwhelmed me back then. And they still do. Just that they were beautiful back then. Even when they hurt, it was a beautiful kind of pain. Now it’s just a cruel, rough pain. A kind of pain that only tears you apart from the inside.”
The tears overwhelmed me again. Memories dragged me down again. My feelings destroyed me again. “Do you know what I noticed? You cry quietly, without any noise. How do you do that?” I looked up. She was right. I had never noticed by myself. “I-I just let the tears flow. I don’t know. I-it just h-happens. Why do you ask?” I stuttered. “To distract you so that you stop crying, Pingu.” She responded honestly. It worked. No sooner had I thought about anything else than my feelings ceased to destroy me. At least they stopped destroying me that much.
“How did you know that would work?” I mumbled in her ear. She smiled slightly. “I have a little sister and I often had to make her feel better. Do you want to take a break from talking?” I nodded cautiously. She let go of me and I sat next to her.
“What’s your name actually?” I wanted to know. “Lian. Wang Nai Lian.” She replied immediately, as if she had been waiting to finally answer this question. “Taiwanese, right?” I asked.
“You’re right. And you’re Korean, right, Hyungu?” I swallowed as it froze down my back. “How do you know my name?” I trembled slightly with fear. I was sure I didn’t say my name once in the whole conversation.
“Later.” She said firmly. I nodded. At first just slowly, as a sign that I agreed, then a little faster, in response to her question about my nationality.
“It’s beautiful here.” She whispered after a few minutes of silence, looking up at the sky. “You’re so right.” I agreed. She put an arm around me and pulled me back a little. “Are you ready to tell me more? Or do you need some more time?” I shook my head and assured her: “I’m ready.” I played nervously with a few blades of grass next to me and let my feet hang back into the water.
“How did you get together?” I rowed slightly with my feet in the water to create a soothing splash. “We were here. Two years and three months ago. 26 full moons ago. I had my guitar with me and played some love songs for her. Self-composed. At the moment when I played them, she didn’t know that yet. I had long considered what to do and how to tell her about my feelings. However, the moment she smiled at me and told me how beautiful the song was, I knew that my plan had failed. From that moment on, I just let everything happen and followed my heart. I did what my feelings told me. I blushed and looked shyly at the floor. She pushed my face up a bit at the chin and smiled at me. A simple smile. It triggered so much in me. My cheeks literally exploded at that moment and I was sure I looked like a tomato. My heart started racing. It got so fast I was sure it was already unhealthy. But all of the sudden it became a minor issue. In general, everything seemed to just to disappear. I’ve read so many romance novels and watched so many cheesy movies, but I’ve always suspected that all of this was completely over the top. It wasn’t. Not a bit. On the contrary, it was completely understated. Everything around us disappeared. The sounds echoed away from us. The only ones left were her and myself. How we looked at each other. I looked in her beautiful, golden brown eyes and she in mine. I looked on her pink, soft lips and she on mine. She was beautiful. But I’m sure you know that since you’ve seen us together several times. But that day, from that day on, it was different. She was more beautiful. I’ll never be able to forget this picture. How the moon shone through her brown curls and lit up half of her face. I don’t know how it happened, it just did. I kissed her. I never expected having the courage to overcome my shyness and just kiss her. But I did. And she returned the kiss. It was the most beautiful feeling of my life and more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. It wasn’t a long kiss, but a beautiful one. But no sooner it had ended and my shyness returned. I realized what I have done. What would’ve happened if she hadn’t wanted to? I would’ve lost her. Probably forever.”
I dug my fingernails into my shirt to keep myself from crying. “But luckily that wasn’t the case. She returned the kiss, as well as she did my feelings.”
I looked shyly at the floor. “It was my first kiss. I didn’t know how it worked. How to kiss. How to kiss well! But I’m glad I did. That it happened.” I smiled lightly at the floor and felt my heart floating again when I remembered it. Seconds after that I was back on the ground and realized that all of that was over, I continued:
“The relationship with her was probably the best as well as the worst that could’ve happened to me.” I took a short breath, in which Lian asked, why. “I was no longer myself. No, worse. I had forgotten who I am. I loved her more than anything else and I didn’t want to lose her or risk that she could start liking me less. So, I started acting and talking like the way she likes the most. I replaced my real self. My real personality. And created a new self. A different one. A better one. At least for her. Not for me, not a bit. But it didn’t matter. It took its time, but after a while I got used to being a different person. Started ignoring the pitiful cries of my real inner self. And I started ignoring the pain…”
“You were in pain? What pain?” She interrupted me a bit upset. I affirmed this with a short, gentle nod before continuing my speech: “Pressure, pain, whatever you want to call this. I wasn’t myself. I was no longer in control of my actions. I suppressed myself, the real me. Of course, it hurt. Incredibly painful. You can’t imagine how bad.”
I leaned back a little and rested on my hands. “Can’t I?” She asked somewhat skeptically. I closed my eyes.
“Maybe. Maybe you can, maybe you can’t. Why?” I replied.
“Later.”, she said calmly, “After you finish talking.” I smiled a little. “Well, the pain was definitely unbearable.”, I resumed my story, “But not as cruel as the thought of living without her. I forgot my pain. Which doesn’t mean that it disappeared or I managed to hide it. But I forgot the cause of my pain. Just as I had forgotten myself before. I just wanted to be the way Yuri liked me the most. Because she meant everything to me. And she did a lot for me too! She supported me in one of the hardest times of my life. I would even say the hardest right after the current one. If not the roughest in general.”
I looked up at the sky. “Beautiful.”, I sighed heavily, “Just beautiful.” Lian put an arm around me and mildly stroked  my shoulder. “What did she help you with, Pingu?” She tried to hide it, but her concern was clear in her voice.
“I had a sister.” I said even though it was very difficult to say. My head fell down and I started sobbing loudly.
“You h-had a sister? Pingu, why had? What do you mean by that? What happened?” She sounded surprised. Very surprised. And shocked. A normal reaction. But something bothered me about it. Something wasn’t right. Something was wrong.
I pushed these thoughts away for now and concentrated on calming down again. “Yes. I had a sister. Hyejin, that was her name, was born sick. Her heart was weak. Too weak. She spent her entire childhood in the hospital for some kind of surgery. It was finally over a few years ago. She came out on her 15th birthday, but we had to be careful  that she was hardly exposed to stress, as it could have been problematic otherwise. And we did! Every evening when she couldn’t sleep or just wanted me to stay by her side, I played her one of her favorite songs on the guitar.”
Tears streamed down my face. “Often it was sad songs. Songs that were about death. We knew she wouldn’t live as long as normal people. Me and our parents knew that. We tried to keep it a secret from her. In vain, of course. But how should that even be possible? She received extra treatment all her life. She got private lessons, although we could hardly afford it. How could she feels normal about such things and have no idea?” I narrowed my eyes.
“But she also asked me to play her love songs. She often told me she wanted a relationship before she died. Or at least a friendship.” I swallowed. “I always told her that I was her friend. That always made her smile and she always assured me I was the best friend she could ever imagine. It meant so much to me. More than anything else at this point. But sometimes she asked about songs I had composed myself. She knew I didn’t have many of them because I rarely write them down, but rather play by feeling. Sometimes she asked about that. Whenever she noticed something was going wrong in my life. She always looked after me, although that was my job with her. That’s why she sometimes asked for songs I had composed myself. She knew how shy and self-critical I was and she always assured me that the song, just like my guitar playing, was beautiful. Our parents had barely time for us because they worked so much to be able to afford private lessons. That’s why Hyejin and I always took care of each other. We had a lot of late-night conversations, where mostly one special question came up. ‘Will mom and dad be happier when I’m gone?’ She always asked me. You can’t blame her, because our parents had lots of stress because of her illness. But every time she asked, I promised her, and I was 100% honest, that our parents love her and are happy she exists. And even if not, I could never be really happy again if she were no longer my cute little sister. But then came the day when I had to start studying and move out. I barely had time for Hyejin. It broke my heart. I just wanted to be with her again. Hug her. And play the guitar for her. Our parents got into arguments more and more often and I wasn’t there to help Hyejin. It was my duty as a big brother! But that wasn’t everything. A short time before our parents broke up, it must have been about sixth month ago, Hyejin and I got into an argument. Because of my behaviour. She accused me of no longer being myself. And in a way, she was right. At that point, however, I no longer noticed it myself. And since she never liked Yuri, I just thought that’s the reason back then. Shortly after our parents broke up, s… she…”
I started crying softly but also violently. “I-it was all my fault. I s-shouldn’t have left her alone. I should’ve been there for her. I had to s-support her. B-but I was so stupid and didn’t do it. I didn’t notice it!  I-I should’ve thought about how hard it would hit her!” I stuttered.
Lian softly stroked my back and tried to calm me down: “Hey… Hyungu… Don’t say that. It wasn’t your fault.” She looked at me pityingly and carefully wiped the tears from my face. “You did everything for her, you were a great brother.” She added.
I shook my head wildly and felt my heart break again. The second time that day. “She is dead! And I could’ve prevented that if I hadn’t been such an idiot and just been there for her! But no! And instead of simply accepting the pain as punishment, I let Yuri comfort me! No wonder she’s gone! I should’ve just followed Hyejin as I wanted to at first.”
Lian stared at me in shock. Even more shocked than before. “No! Pingu! Stop that right now, you SHOULD live! That’s important to ME! That’s important to Hyejin! It’s important to everyone who matters!” She almost shouted.
“Stop talking like you know me or Hyejin right now! Just stop! You barely know me and don’t know her at all!” I hissed unintentionally. It just happened, against my will. I was startled. Scared of myself. “I-I’m sorry.” I stammered when I realize what I had done. The only person to whom I seemed to begin to mean something, and perhaps the only one I would ever mean anything to again. She looked at me. But neither surprised nor angry, but understanding.
“No. It’s okay. You’re nerve-wracked, your emotions are killing you and you can’t possibly know about it. It’s okay. Just tell me, should I go or should I stay? Do you want to be alone or have someone to stay with you? Do you want to go on with speaking or take rest?”
I slid a little closer to her. “Is that okay?” I asked. She nodded and smiled briefly at me. “Please stay. And if it’s okay, I would still like to tell the end.” I responded. “Of course, it is. More than that. I’m glad about it. Besides that, I was the one who asked, wasn’t I? So, tell me, how could this, at least for her dreamlike relationship end?” Lian smiled softly, which I could only return weakly.
I took a deep breath and ended my story: “She cheated on me. For 9 months. That’s a third of our entire relationship. And I just didn’t notice it. No, worse. After I found out, she promised me it would never happen again, and after a few weeks in that we took a break of our relationship we approached each other again, she broke the promise right on the first day. Today. And as the idiot I am, I trusted her and thought she’d still love me. Just me.” I rubbed my eyes, but had stopped crying again and didn’t start again.
“She’s a bitch.” Lian said coldly, drilling her fingernails faintly into my shoulder. I swallowed because of the pain, whereupon she looked at me apologetically and loosened her grip a little bit.
“Maybe. Maybe she is. No, probably she is. But at least I am rid of this monster now and can be Kang Hyungu in peace again.”, I agreed, “Even if it will take time until I forget her or can get over her.”
Lian grunted understandingly. “Obviously it will. But you can do it, even if it takes time. And I will support you.” She promised in a firm and serious voice. I looked at her gratefully with a hint of joy.
“But I guess it’s my turn to tell. I actually don’t have a lot to say and will be brief if that’s okay.” She giggled. I gave her a quick approval and then looked at her waiting and asking.
“Well, where do I start? So, as I said, I also have a sister. Also, a younger one. About the same age as Hyejin. Her name is Tzuyu. When you said Hyejin had no one, you weren’t quite right. Shortly after you were gone, she met Tzuyu. They’ve been to our home many times and Hyejin has told us a lot of good things about you. She almost always talked about you and there was never a bad word. Just about your girlfriend. She suspected that she wasn’t entirely loyal. And that killed her. She was worried about you. She just wanted you to be happy. You, the person who brought her happiness and joy in life. She just wanted you to be fine no matter what happened to her. At some point her life stopped meaning anything to her. She knew she didn’t have much time left. And when I asked her why she was this laid-back, she replied that the most important thing for her wasn’t her life, but the happiness of her brother. I had heard a lot about you at this time and I just wanted to get to know you. I asked her what her brother looks like and…” She got something out of her pocket. “She gave me this picture.” The girl held out a picture. A selca with me and Hyejin.
“S-she gave you that?” My voice was brittle and squeaky. I would’ve expected anything, even that she was a werewolf. But never that she had anything to do with my sister.
“Yes, she did. And when she laid in the hospital bed, at least Tzuyu, who had visited her, told me from her that I should look after you and take care of you because she could no longer worry now.”
There was silence between us. Minutes of silence. Pleasant silence. “Then you got all the information about me from Hyejin?” I was still incredulous. Lian nodded carefully. “She loved you, Pingu. And she still does. Don’t do that to her and don’t blame yourself for her death. Try to be strong for her and smile for her like you used to do.” Lian asked me to. I forced a slight, dazed nod.
“Thanks.” The girl purred happily. I looked at the sky, at the full moon, and then at the mirrored imagine in the water. Countless feelings ran through me once. My head was all empty, as if all thoughts had been washed away by the river.
But I knew at least one thing. Even though I couldn’t clearly determine what I was feeling right now, I could say that I felt better by worlds than before the conversation. Before Lian.
“Are you ready for someone new in your life?” Lian whispered again. As at the beginning. Everything was like the beginning.
Just that everything was different.
“It will take me time to get over that with Yuri.” I answered.
“I’m just talking about a friendship.” Lian purred.
“I know.” I replied with a smile, put my head on her shoulder and closed my eyes.
Everything was perfect.
For her, as well as for me.
For us.

little onewe boyfriend scenarios 🦋
ps : harin's is v long teehee
Tumblr media
🍧 hyungu :
i can see him reading a book aloud to u and pausing when he notices you're not replying to the main character's dumb decisions anymore. so he peaks down and sees u asleep on his chest and a soft smile grows on his face, he chuckles and rubs ur back until he falls asleep as well with u in his arms 💭
🍰 giwook :
after a hard day u collapse into his arms on the couch, he puts a lil pout on his lips and brushes the hair out your face, lifts your chin a bit to look into ur eyes and asks u what happened. while u tell him about it, he'd stroke ur hair and give u little encouraging smooches across ur face every time u start speaking quieter or get choked up. he'd just be so incredibly loving 💭
🧁 dongmyeong :
he'd squish ur cheeks together and after gushing for a bit bc how cute u look would cup ur face with his warm hands and litter tiny smooches all around ur face, so everytime u go to a mirror, no matter where u look on yourself, he'd have kissed u there and u'd always be reminded of how much he loves u 💭
🍪 yonghoon :
even though he could just text u, yonghoon thinks it's romantic to send u little heartfelt love letters, and it absolutely is. if he ordered you fruit tea he'd stick a lil note on it saying something like "I remembered your order! the peach is so sweet, it reminds me of you <3" or a lyric from one of his songs that reminds him of u. eg: "when darkness surrounds you, can i wrap you in my arms?" from universe 💭
🍩 harin :
i can see u guys on a amusement park date and he'd let u drag him wherever u wanted, if you saw a cute plushie at a stall he would not stop until he won the game and got it for u. if u were a bit scared of heights, on the ferris wheel, he'd tell u dumb stories from when he was younger to make u laugh, and his arm would never leave from around ur shoulder, regardless if u were scared or not. also he'd give u his jacket on the way home, even if u weren't cold, just to see how oversized and adorbs it looks on u :( and when he drops u off at ur place, you'd take it off to give it back but he'd just tutt at you, slip it back on ur shoulders and say "keep it for a bit, it looks cute on you" and give u a sweet goodbye kiss and drive off leaving you screaming so loud on the inside. Also the jacket would smell like him and AAAAAAAA JU HARIN I HAVE NO WORDS 😖😖😖

it was the same thing everyday. classes until 4PM, work and studying, sleep, repeat. weekends meant catching up on reading, assignments and, yup, work. you worked in the cafe that was just off campus, it can be busy right after class gets out but then again you were usually getting out of class at that time too. your parents had stopped supporting you after you moved away from home for school, the fight you had before you left had been really bad. they kicked your brother out when he was seventeen, you hadn’t seen or heard from Youngjo in nine years.
that is, until today. it’s a regular saturday, during the morning rush: Youngjo walked through the door in all black, his head tilted down to look at his phone. it had been so many years but you recognized him immediately. he looked much the same as he had all those years ago, you knew he probably wouldn’t recognize you; you were thirteen when he left, you had grown into someone completely different in the last nine years. Youngjo didn’t look up from his phone when he reached the counter, your coworker was about to take his order but you quietly asked her if you could take it instead. “hello, what can i get for you?” you asked cheerfully. “one iced mocha latte please.” Youngjo still didn’t look up at you. you smiled “of course sir.” you didn’t ask for his name even if it was policy to do so.
your coworker raised her eyebrow at you when she passed by to take her place at the cash register, but you just smiled at her. you started Youngjo’s drink, and when it was finished you called him. “Kim Youngjo your drink is ready!” his head shot up immediately, looking at you his eyebrows furrowed and then his eyes widened. hurrying towards you he exclaimed “y/n!! it’s you! how are you? are you okay? why didn’t you say anything?” his questions came quick, and you barely had time to answer them. the rush was slowing down and you took your break to talk with him for a few minutes. “first, i’m doing my best. okay is a relative term in my opinion. i wanted to surprise you that’s why i didn’t say anything. how are you? what have you been up to? you must be doing well for yourself those clothes look expensive.” you laughed, Youngjo chuckled nervously. “i was so shocked! normally i give my nickname Ravn for coffee orders. i’m doing good though,” he paused, “i haven’t been up to anything interesting to be honest. what are you doing working here? shouldnt mom and dad be taking care of you?” his questions were innocent and concerned, but they still stung. you looked down at the table, “i’ve barely made rent with what i make here and my student loans, mom and dad haven’t spoken to me since i left for school.” a tear slid down your cheek, Youngjo reached across the table and wiped your tears away. “it’s okay little one, i’ll take care of you now.” he was determined to make sure you were taken care of.
🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
after your shift, Youngjo picked you up and grabbed your stuff from your apartment. after that you picked up some food and were on your way to his place. “i have ten roommates but we have a really big place so you probably won’t even notice them. plus we leave and come back at weird hours so don’t worry about them.” Youngjo seemed sort of tense. upon pulling up to their group home your jaw dropped. “you live here???” you gasped.
the house sat just outside the city, on what looked like seven acres of sprawling grounds. the house itself was massive. it had huge pillars on the outside and ivy crawled up them. there were large gates and a stone wall wrapped around the property. Youngjo pulled into an underground garage where cars you could only dream of were parked. “we share the cars too, any car we want to drive we just sign out and go. you don’t have to worry about groceries or anything i can cover those, we do share chores around the house and if Seoho catches you slacking off you’ll be in trouble,” Youngjo took a deep breath, “don’t ask too many questions, they can be sort of secretive. we only have one rule and that’s; always make sure someone knows where you’re going when you leave. no matter what. the boys are usually respectful but they can get rowdy sometimes. don’t worry about them if you’re uncomfortable just let me know and i’ll talk to them.” he finished with a tight smile. you nodded “thanks Jojo, i really appreciate you letting me stay here. are you sure your roommates are cool with it though? they seem sort of… i don’t know, tense?” you finished uncertainly. Youngjo’s grip on the steering wheel tensed, he put the car in park and turned to you. “they’re fine, i asked Yonghoon hyung and he said it was okay. just as long as you abide by the rules and don’t get mixed up in what we do, okay? you have to promise me you won’t get involved with our work.” youngjo demanded. you nodded “i promise.” turns out you wouldn’t be able to keep that promise after all.
Your brother’s roommates turned out to be incredibly nice and cute too. Yonghoon was the leader, he was sweet and secretive but was always willing to help you. The younger boys also always made sure to include you when they went out to get coffee, and in movie nights. Other than Youngjo; you were closest with the twins, Giwook, Hwanwoong, Hyungu and Keonhee. Even if Hyungu was quiet most of the time, and Hwanwoong could be a little bit… eccentric. Hwanwoong often stayed in one room for hours at a time, and you weren’t allowed in that room. You weren’t really sure why.
Recently though you had started spending more time with Gunhak, he had asked you to go get coffee with him. He had been driving you to class and picking you up when Youngjo couldn’t. maybe you were really excited that Gunhak had been driving you to school… he was admittedly very cute. And strong and oh no you’re falling for him aren’t you?
It was a regular day, Gunhak was driving you to school. You talked quietly with him, it was comfortable and calm with him. Not to me ruin he buys you expensive coffees on the way to class!! Gunhak pulled up to your university and parked, “have a good day y/n. i’ll pick you up after class, okay?” Gunhak smiled at you. “okay! Thank you Gunhak!!” you exclaimed, getting out of the car and waving at him as he drove away. The grounds of your school were unusually empty but you weren’t too concerned about it. Out of the corner of your eye you saw something moving, then a strong smell filled your nose and suddenly all you saw was black.

well done !! you just made him the happiest man a man could be ~ have fun trying to erase that smile from his face because it’s not going anywhere for a week tops. our amazing leader loves attention and little shows of affection like this, he thrives on it. for him, it’s like a sign everything in the relationship is going well and that you still love him and think about him lots. I think yonghoon is the type to worry about this stuff so a surprise kiss would reassure him probably more than words could ever do. he would be sitting at his desk late at night brainstorming lyrics and tapping his pens to form melodies when you sneak up behind him and place a big fat smooch on the side of his cheek. yonghoon would jump in surprise because he thought you wouldn’t be home for a while but then immediately soften when the scent of your favourite fragrance finally reached him. he leaned back in his chair, tilting his head up to reach your eyes with the cutest eye smile you’ve ever seen. “someone must have missed me?” he said we a jokingly sweet tone while staring up into your eyes swearing he could see stars. yonghoon lives for domesticity like this, he’s so glad that you feel comfortable enough to just go up and do that. trust him to randomly go up to you no matter the situation and give you quick pecks and smooches (if he didn't already do it) before you guys fall into a calm conversation about your days, he would tap his neck and make kissy noises hoping you would get the point and do it again.
“how was your day darling? i didn’t hear you come in. just give me five minutes and i’ll be all yours for the night, wait before that... would you mind if you gave me another kiss?”

oh, oh, OH !! a surprise kiss will turn harin into the shyest tiger bub you could imagine. it would 100% catch him off guard and throw him off track from whatever task he was attempting. his cheeks would turn the brightest of red when you came up behind him when he was washing the dishes after dinner and placed kisses down his neck then the exposed skin on his back. everyone knows harin is so soft and sweet but for you, the love of his life? i mean it when i say he will do everything and anything for you. he is an absolute goner. and when you nuzzled your head deeper into him, your cheek pressing against his back he just sighed blissfully, slowly coming to terms with how relentlessly lucky he got, meeting and dating you. he would make sure to finish the dishes as quickly as possible (maybe dropping one of them in excitement oops). once free from the chore, this man ain't leaving you alone for the rest of the day, good luck trying to detach him from your side. harin is just an over-grown human koala. he would attack you with kisses all over making you squeal because it tickles! and because of that, he would start laughing and harin's laughter can bring world peace. harin is just filled with so much love and adoration for you and this just confirms you love him all the same ~
"what was that for lovely? did i do anything special to deserve this special attention?" harin mused and dried his hands so he could wrap his arms around your waist.
"nothing in particular just felt right..."
"that must make me a very lucky man doesn't it, i don't deserve you bub don't i?"

we all know how much of a bookworm hyungu is, so it wouldn't be surprising when you catch him curled up in bed early with one of his current reads. hyungu doesn't flinch when he feels a dip in the mattress nor does he when he feels your hot breathe fall from his cheek to below his white tank top. thinking you just want to cuddle he tells you to let him finish the chapter, his eyes not wavering from the book. what he didn't expect was for you to place a light peck on the skin underneath his eye then moved to ghost his lips before diving in and giving him a short but passionate kiss. just after you tell him you were going to the kitchen for snacks and leaving him on the bed alone with heart going 150mph. this would leave hyungu a malfunctioning and blubbering mess as you rendered him speechless. one part of him felt like he hadn't been giving you enough attention or there was something on your mind that you weren't telling him. or did he maybe do something special that he wasn't aware of? were you in a really good mood, why? all these questions would plague him until you entered the room again and he asked if you were okay in a very serious voice. "you can tell me anything you know..." he said taking your hand in his and rubbing your palm. you were extremely confused at this gesture and said you were feeling fine. "then what was that kiss about?" he questioned at this point as confused as you. "no reason, just loved you and missed you." such a cheesy shy grin would adorn his features, and he would giggle not looking down at your hands, too flustered to face you upfront. warmth rose throughout his chest as he feels that had just struck him clean through the heart. with you hyungu had never felt so loved and appreciated. honestly, you were the best thing to happen to him. long after you had fallen asleep nestled into his side, hyungu made mental notes on little ways to express his infinite love and adoration for you, and you show that all though he may not show it, he's just as enamoured with you as you are with him.
"my love is full of surprises, aren't they? my days would be so much darker without you y/n-ah."
| s o n . d o n g m y e o n g
you'd try to catch him off guard with a kiss? you don’t know the war you have just started with this boy... what just started with a quick peck on the side of his cheek while he was getting ready for the day turn into a full-blown kissing war that seemed to get more intense and passionate with each sneaky kiss. he relished in catching you by surprise and in comprising moments. hell you could be calling your mum and bam! wild son dongmyeong on your lips. kissing is dongmyeong primary way of showing his affection (apart from words ofc) so a little kissing war is right up his alley. from watching tv, to tending to household chores, on the way out the door and when you were snuggling into bed ready for the night, were all perfect opportunities to get each other back for each kiss and the one after that and the one after that and- (you can see where this is going, you two might just be attached at the lips at this point). even when he had to go for band practice at random points during the session he’d send you heart emojis and sweet texts saying how much he missed you (and your lips). the boy is, was and forever will be lovestruck for you, i can not stress this enough!! surprises, in general, affirm that fact that you think about him a lot and obviously care a lot as well. these are two things i think dongmyeong really values in a relationship. the day would probably end out with a cute little make-out session after both of you are done with the day's activities. before you drift off dongmyeong would whisper “i won~” in your ear before trying to find sleep himself. he didn’t just mean winning the war of kisses, he also meant winning in life because he had the best person on planet earth all for himself.
“that’s 13 to me and 11 to you sunshine !! hmm seems like someone has some catching up to do… oh! and you also have something on your lips right there-”
*proceeds to kiss you for a bit longer than usual leaving you absolutely breathless*
“i think that makes it 14 to 11.”
| l e e . g i w o o k
shy and flustered hamster to the power of two !! as the maknae who normally receives lots of skinship from his hyungs you’d think a surprise kiss wouldn’t affect him that much. however, when it comes to you throw that idea out of the window, bubs would be a stuttering cute mess, almost confused and dazed-like, like hyungu. when you crept up on his while he was changing the broken strings on his base he felt your presence behind him, but being used to this sort of closeness he didn’t mind it. but when you stooped down to his level and quickly swooped in for a sweet kiss right on his lips his eyes would immediately dart up and his pupils would dilate into moons. his mouth would be an o-shape as he stared up at you before turning beet red. if it was around other people he would probably feign being slightly annoyed but deep deep down he loves it more than you’ll ever know. it would be a quiet reassurance that you’re still there and love him as always. but when you’re alone there’s no doubt in the fact he’ll definitely ask you to kiss him again. your spontaneity gives him something to look forward to when has time to spend with you. a reminder that his and your youthful banter is something to be love and treasured.
"ah baby... not here please, see harin hyung is laughing at me now. you're cute but not THAT cute, and don't take that in the wrong way. you can give me loads of kisses when i'm done with this okay?"
Tumblr media
(hope you enjoyed sorry again the wait was so long !!)
