The Kanto AltDex project features art streams of each Pokémon, in Kanto Pokédex order, redesigned and retyped as it would be in its Alolan or Galarian form. This issue features Ghost-type Ninetales!

This artwork has been streamed and recorded. Watch it here!

Due to popular demand, I bought a Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur plush for my Pokémon to choose between. Here were the results:

Medicham: stared at all the choices, a hand under her chin as if deep in thought. Choice: Squirtle

Starmie: I think she stared at all the choices, but you can never really tell with a Pokémon without eyes. Pointed at Squirtle. Water recognizes water, I suppose. Choice: Squirtle

Espeon: I called her name and while she laid curled up on the couch and she yawned, putting both paws over her face and fell asleep. Choice: didn’t care enough to play

Metagross: Does have eyes so I know he looked at them all. Very gently booped the Charmander plush with one of his front limbs. Poor guy doesn’t realize he’s weak to fire. Choice: Charmander

Flygon: Licked me right on the face when we started, had to go inside to get a towel. Wagged her tail back and forth, nearly taking out my mailbox twice. Leaned down and grabbed Bulbasaur with her little arms, then handed it to me. I think Flygon choose a starter for me. Choice: to be a professor and give out starters

Just for fun I decided to count how many of each generation of Pokémon are missing from the Sword and Shield pokedex excluding varients and the actual Galarian Pokémon which is 100%.

Here are the results;

Kanto missing: 34; 22% of 151

Johto: 33; 33% of 100

Hoenn: 48; 35% of 135

Sinnoh: 41; 38% of 107

Unova: 30; 19% of 156

Kalos: 20; 27% of 72

Alola: 10; 11% of 88

Total: 809

I was trying to figure out if Sinnoh had more Pokémon in Gen 8 per percentage, and low and behold it does indeed have the most Pokemon missing.

Though tbh I welcome people correcting my math. Please and thank you.

I made this one for a friend a while back. I got the official image and pixelated it.

Alolan Raichu are much fluffier than their Kantonian counterparts, but Hoennian Pikachu are fluffier than Pikachu from any other region
