fun idea: kryptonians can't perceive through lead even when not using their powers. they can't hear sounds occurring in a lead-lined package even when humans can; things written in any lead-based ink are super spotty and hard to make out; you pinch a landline telephone wire with a pair of lead pliers and suddenly clark can't hear the other side. kara uses lipstick with lead in it and her lips are a little numb the whole night. young justice hides kons cellphone in a lead-lined paper bag and all struggle to keep straight faces and pretend they can't hear it ringing as he hunts for it

So I’ve gotten sucked into the ‘Clark Kent is Kon-El | Conner Kent's Parent’ tag lately and rediscovered a fic that had been started, Catching Icarus by Fantasyfire.
