A request, if you don't mind ofc! Instead of impaling Ethan with his metal rod (👀) when they meet and dragging him to his family meeting, when Karl meets Ethan for the first time, he falls in love and attempts to flirt/woo a probably very confused Ethan. Maybe it's time-travel/new game +, meaning that Karl finds himself back at the start of the game but he has memories of Ethan killing everyone, so now 1, he knows how to NOT act around Ethan, 2, he's probably pretty impressed (turned on) that Ethan managed to kill him. Ethan has no idea about anything, like always

in which ethan sees karl for the first time since events of village

One set of glass handcuffs, around gloved hands.  Tan skin peeked out from their edges.  

His glance moved upward, curious why one of the six would be given this strange set of cuffs.  The man’s wrists were also zip-tied multiple times against the skin, and the redness around his wrists turned into old, deep scars as Ethan’s gaze panned.  A wide torso.  Wide shoulders.  A beard, woven with grey slivers that seemed like little threads of moonlight peppered across a face.    

When he met the eyes of the man in the glass cuffs, time stopped altogether for a moment.  The other man’s head turned slightly, waves of hair tossing past his cheekbones.  Both his face and bored, uninterested expression struck Ethan, as if he’d been hit by lightning.  He felt as if he were buzzing, on fire.  Why? Unbeknownst to him, his cheeks immediately blazed crimson.  

The other man noticed Ethan at this moment, and he did an abrupt double-take, stopping where he stood, a dumbfounded gaze across scarred features. The guard behind him angrily drawled about his pace.  The prisoner stumbled forward, but his gaze never left Ethan’s. A dazed smile crossed over wolfish teeth, and there was something almost piercing in his gaze as he twisted his torso and head to keep his strange stare on Ethan. He looked delighted, mesmerized.  

“Does that…fella know you?” Zoe guessed, confused, as she too witnessed the odd interaction.  Ethan barely heard her; he was still frozen.  He’d never seen the man in his life, but something about him seemed intimately familiar.  And dangerous.  His heart was in his throat.  His hands, he realized, were in fists.  He’d barely shuffled backward from the situation, but the sudden urge to turn and run away nearly overtook him.  

“I…I don’t know,” he said honestly, realizing he was sweating.

Dog Wintersberg

They make quite an unusual pair but that's what I love about them. Ethan is a Czechoslovakian Wolfdog while Karl is a Berger Picard. Karl is very interested in Ethan's breed because he's never seen a hybrid before. In modern America, it's a bit rude to bring up breeds but Karl lacks that filter and hasn't seen the outside world since the late 30s.
