Yay I made portraits of everyone in the vaesen party! Starting with the top left:

Karlotta

After the death of her family at the hands of vaesen, she ran the household farm alone before joining the party. She is one of the physically strongest members of the group and has had a good time of carrying people over her shoulder during sessions. Decided to be Isak and Småsak's new mom. Erich relates to her a lot as one of the only reasonable parent people in the party.

Caius

Erich's son :) His mother was murdered by a vaesen when he was very young, which has left him with a sense of fear for his father. This culminated in him inadvertently killing someone in an effort to protect his father, causing him to turn to the church to seek guidance. Erich is fiercely protective of him and is slowly learning to let Caius take control of his own life.

Otto

Has been in service of the Society (the people who investigate the vaesen) for almost all of his working life and is the only member of the party with a prior relationship to any members of the Society. Quiet, keeps to himself, painfully bad at socializing. Erich doesn't know what to think of him, but he did prevent Erich from killing Caius so that's good

Erich

A doctor and the father of Caius and a secret second son, a half-vaesen child he tried to shelter from the world, even from Caius. In a cruel twist however this came back to bite him; Caius, fresh off the brutal murder of his mother, perceived the half-vaesen as a threat, and killed him to protect his father. Erich, unable to bring himself to tell Caius it was his own half-brother, has kept that secret for himself. This sad wet man can carry so much guilt

Isak

Hunter from a family of hunters. Extremely full of himself and overconfident but he's 19 so that makes sense. Acts as a protector to Småsak and (mostly accidentally) instigates problems for the rest of the party. As a unit they are "the kids" though Isak in particular resents the label. Erich relates to him a bit as a fellow knower of medicine but wishes he wasn't so reckless.

Småsak

The most mysterious member of the party; no one knows why he wears a skull mask or why he ties jingly things to the horns. Appears to be mute, and has been accompanying Isak for a few months prior to joining the party. Has some sort of trauma around guns. Erich is a little unnerved by him but is getting more used to the strange skull child and is more concerned by just how traumatized he seems to be.

Søren

Disgraced soldier who was let go from the service after a mission went horribly wrong, causing the deaths of all of his men. He seems to be cursed by a vaesen. He keeps trying to be a leader-like figure to the party but he's kind of a sad failure man. Erich sympathizes but also wishes that the erratic gun guy would not so wildly swing around his gun

Like the artists you look up to or take as an example for your art, I like asking other artists about it, it's pretty interesting!

I remember at one point I was worried that maybe I had too detailed lines, many strokes and textures. I really thought that maybe no one needs it and I need to draw easier, because everyone around seems to do it.

Now I pay more attention to illustrations. That's why I'm most hooked on those artists who work with lines and also do fairly detailed things.

Probably most often I now look at the work of these artists: Deb JJ Lee - I love how colorful their illustrations are, I love the compositions and angles. Everything in the illustrations looks very dynamic and is filled with details to the brim. Karlotta Freier - I love this stylization, free line and simple colors!

And I am also inspired by many of my artist friends, moments from everyday life and nature around. I often take inspiration from the images I have used to describe my state of mind in psychotherapy.

Hey, I just thought about the Shinra children, more importantly about Karlotta Heidegger. Her life must be terrible since almost everyone she knows bully/despise her (especially Vermilion and her adoptive family). And all of this inflicted upon a 6 years-old or so little girl (I’m using Vermilion’s age as a reference). That got me thinking; maybe Reeve is too young, but does he have someone/a kid (biological/adopted)? Or is he not interested in that?

Reeve does not have children nor is he married. However, he has become a father figure to the children in Midgar orphanages as well as their benefactor. He wants to at least make sure that the children who does not have families will be safe and sound. He is also the father figure for Karlotta as Heidegger refused to take that role for a “Wutai brat”. He’s the only person she can relied on. 

When the orphanage in Nibelheim is revealed, he becomes a benefactor to them. However, he has gotten a feeling that Hojo has something to do with those children.

❤ : What are some role-plays that you have done/are doing that you particularly enjoy and wish to share with your followers? - For any of your characters! Just a general what's exciting you in RP these days!?

As I’m sure it’s evident from my posts and lack there of over the past few months, I’ve been struggling with some be it in terms of motivation or inspiration or simply feeling overwhelmed in some cases. But they’ve each got a little something I’m looking forward to seeing unfold. 

Below the line to save for scrolling I’ll highlight a little on each:

Edith: (A Fallout 76 OC and most recent obsession)

In the past week or so, with the release of FO76 Beta, I’ve really enjoyed exploring a different setting to WoW for RP. Presently I have been exploring bits of back story through RP and her time in the Vault before the doors were open.

She’s a Vault-tec Nurse, Born in Pittsburgh PA to a  renown doctor who studied at Johns Hopkins University and kept practice at a prominent hospital. When their family was called to join those in the Vault, Edith was 6. She remembers bits of her grandparents before going into the vault small memories of life before but most all she’s known is Vault life. In being among the best of the best, she’s had to deal with certain pressures as she grew up both personally and academically. Seeing those pressures mold her and seeing the story unfold has been a breath of fresh air and flooding with inspiration and ideas.

That said, I may have some stories coming in the future that delve deeper into her time in the vault and her coming to terms with life outside the Vault.

Rian:

Her brother’s missing. The Kirin Tor has lost track of him, it’s pushing 4 months since she last saw him. That will be a slow story to evolve as time goes. 

She’s also dealing with the influx of refugees and demands of war impacting Ravenshollow. A harder challenge now since @thaylynnkestavin is now also missing leaving her to carry the reins and struggling to find balance when there seems to be a threat on all sides and multiple conflicts on the horizon. 

That said something more direct to her case is a curse placed on a blade by @thalsianiii that compels her to use it but also through continued use, weaves a doubt in her faith to separate the woman from her faith. Each day that passes that she continues to use it the more she’s struggling but no one has yet to realize the reason behind her struggle and likely assume it’s just the stresses of the afore mentioned issues. 

Theron:

While on mission to study Azerite in relation to ley lines and a general deeper understanding of it’s elements, Theron was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Being human and a noble among the Alliance, Theron was captured and is presently being held in an enemy internment camp. I’m hoping to eventually work out some stories and plot building for while he’s there and eventually returns to Willow Grove.

Zara:

I adore everything about this char. She’s a challenge to write if for the simple fact she’s an elf and I hope that she comes off as one rather than a glorified human in a fancy frame. I’m probably failing miserably, but is something to work on. 

Due to her past, and specific lore events like the falling of SMC and Outlands speciffically, Zara took to her own devices, traveling and training, and doing odd jobs to make her way. This brought her to frequent Booty Bay, where a bar fight and hand of cards shifted her story and found her partnered with Conwulf. Something neither of us saw coming haha.

Currently, with the war heating up between factions, Zara’s taken cover in traveling through Alliance territories with Conwulf. She’s not at all pleased with the actions of her one time hero, Sylvanas and the horde she knew. She can’t forget what her people have gone through and refuses to blilndly write off their actions because of politics. She’ll always love her people as a whole but struggles in understanding leader’s reasonings. They’re supposed to be a proud and noble people and the leaders continue to turn to those who hurt them most. 

Cypris:

Presently has her ship back, and is focusing most of her energy into the day to day of it along with her contract work with the Uncrowned. I’ll be the first to admit, I’m struggling most with Cy’s story and sense of direction as of late.

I think a big misconception with Cy is that she’s this raging bitch bent on destruction of all. When in fact she’s been through a lot of shit and just wants to live simply. She fought for her freedom and will go to any means to keep it and protect those who’ve qualified themselves enough she’d consider them a friend, that number being very few.  She’s also a mother, while she isn’t actively in her daughter’s life, a lot of what she earns goes to pay her daughter’s way in life so she can keep her distance and give her daughter a better chance than she’s been given.

As for what lies in Cy’s future, hard to say exactly, but I’m hoping to get into her exploring more with her faith and magics especially concerning the Loa and blood magic.

James:

James is a newbie to the character blog roll. I’ve really been enjoying fleshing him out a little at a time. He was initially created as a getaway character, doesn’t have an avatar in game yet, just a simple aesthetic and slowly building character depth.

He’s the son of a knight in the county of Ravenshollow. His family are tenants in the county in the small town of Krovorn Hollow. When he’s not needed to tend the family farm he’s serving the House Kestavin Ravenguard as an armsman.

Karlotta & Lairn: There really isn’t much happening with either of their stories presently. Karlotta being a Kirin Tor Noble and Lairn being a cantankerous old dwarven shaman, they both usually come out in support roles to other story lines.

Eight children are sent across the galaxy, to start a colony, and stay young for a century due to cryogenics. They are hooked up mentally to a hyper-realistic sandbox video game, which they can rule.

Lizzy and Junko- The witches of the north.

Lizzy- Cisgender bisexual. Likes architecture and interior design. Friendly, naive, yet unmotherly.

Junko- Transgender lesbian. Likes biology and robotics. Gets along well with the "subjects", computer programs meant to be citizens of the world, but kind of overdoes things.

Mike and Ronald- The wizards of the south.

Mike- Transgender pansexual. Really into D&D, plays it with the subjects often. Kind of snarky.

Ronald- Gay cisgender. A gardener and wilderness explorer, he fears nothing, except public speaking. Kind of a ham, but flips out when he has to act.

Alex and Chrissy- The warlocks of the west

Alex- AMAB Agender pansexual. Likes only earthly things, and misses Earth. Sad, clingy, teen life crisis.

Chrissy- AFAB Genderfluid polysexual. The dangerous one of the group, they enjoy monster truck rallies, and wrestling matches. Aggressive, will fight you, but only with a reason.
