Being Asahi’s Crush Part Two: Operation GAG brought to you by Suga’s schemes

Notes: Welcome to part two! Part one is here :)

Description: headcanons about suga scheming and hinata being precious, part two of four

Characters: you, karasuno’s vbc

Warnings: you get hit in the head with a volleyball and somehow sprain your wrist in the process

I wholeheartedly believe that this man knows how to give gifts

Look at me and tell me he wouldn’t know exactly what to give everyone he loves

That being said, he doesn’t know what to get you

He likes you so much and with the cultural difference, he doesn’t want to offend you/make you uncomfy or do literally anything that would ruin his chances with you

Hell he wouldn’t want to ruin the friendship either because you’re one of the only people not to judge him off his looks alone

So now he’s in an awkward stage

When is he not in an awkward stage lets be real

Anyways our lovely and chaotic sugawara notices this immediately

He devises a plan

Thus creating Operation Get the Ace a Girl, or Operation GAG

Okay maybe the name could use some work

But the plan is going to work, yeah?

Well…

Let me explain

There were three phases

Phase one: they spend time together

Phase two: they confess to one another

Phase three: they get together and make beautiful babies

Easy peasy lemon squeezy

Except you aren’t in the same year which means you aren't in the same classes

And it appeared that you were very busy after school

And they don’t know what you like

…

Okay this is gonna be harder than he thought

But never fear, karsuno’s goddess Kiyoko has a loophole

“It may be a good idea to recruit another manager to keep Hitoka-chan from getting overwhelmed next year.”

Kiyoko you brilliant woman queen goddess

Now suga has another plan to devise

Commence Operation Recruit the Foreigner or Operation RF for short

Much better than operation gag if i do say so myself

But for this to work, he needs help

Help from a certain ray of sunshine

From some light stalking asking around, he found out that you enjoyed tutoring elementary and middle school aged kids in your spare time

So he recruits Hinata, the babiest baby to ever baby ever

He doesnt tell hinata the whole truth, just that he should ask the foreign second year for help in his foreign language class and if things go well, he should see if she was interested in becoming their third manager

Hinata, you sweet summer child you

Baby boy didn’t even consider that his senpai could have ulterior motive for having another manager

But alas, he asks

And how can you say no??????? He hits you with 🥺 when asking for help

Seriously only a monster could say no

And so it begins!

He explains that it would be best to study near the gym so he can make it to practice on time

You shrug, honestly not caring all too much

But then he invites you to stay and watch because he wants his cute senpai’s praise and attention and he wants to show off a bit, sweet tangerine has a small puppy crush

ANYWAYS

You say yes, because as we’ve established, you genuinely enjoy playing and watching volleyball

You two are there first and he’s talking so so so fast and showing you everything with no regard to whether you know anything about volleyball or not

Your heart melts because AH HE'S SO EXCITED

Like hinata is such a cute lil guy and he wants to share the things that make him happy because it could make them happy toooooooo

As you can see, i am platonically whipped for precious #10

And so are you, Y/N, I’m happy we have something in common

OKAY BACK TO THE PROGRAM

So the next people to come are obviously the captain and the coach

You feel a bit bad for crashing practice so you explain that you were helping Hinata with his course work and he asked you to stay

Daichi smells something fishy

He knows suga’s schemes when he sees them

But he agrees and so does coach ukai on the stipulation that you aren’t a distraction

Thats a lot ask lmao these boys have two moods: volleyball and girls

I mean… same

But this can go one of two ways:

You distract everyone

You motivate everyone to play their best as to impress the new girl

spoilers its the second one

Suga thought it was going to take a minute for the plan to really kick in, but he was pleasantly surprised to see you at practice

He didn’t tell asahi you were there

He was gonna wait cause hes a bastard that loves drama

Again, same

So everyone shows up and practice is about to begin

Hinata is an oblivious bb that is somehow unaware of the absolute chaos that is about to ensue when he excitedly announced that he asked the pretty second year to watch practice

Deadass Hinata is like

“I GOT Y/N-SENPAI TO WATCH US TODAY :D”

How he said :D idk but he did and it was precious

Tanaka and Noya get whiplash from how hard they turn their heads to where you, Yachi, and Kiyoko are standing

You smile and wave at them while you promise not to be a bother

“Oh, Y/N-san, you’ll never be a bother to us!” Suga reassures while elbowing asahi

Asahi.exe has stopped working

He was conflicted

He wanted to show off because you like volleyball

But he doesn’t want to fuck up and make a fool of himself

At this point coach ukai was getting impatient and practice starts

You chill with yachi and kiyoko

Yachi asks you if you were a model and felt like throwing herself into the sun when you said no

You talk about your old school and how lucky the boys were to have managers as nice as them

Kiyoko offhandedly mentioned something about needing another manager for next year when she leaves so Yachi isn’t alone wink wink nudge nudge

You say you’ll think about it

Kiyoko is pleased

Yachi is shocked at how slick Kiyoko is

Lets be real here, kiyoko knows

She knows

What does she know?

Everything

She knows about suga’s plan and she wanted in even if she didn’t say anything

All she needed was a few minutes after hinata wooed you with his precious boy tendencies and she had it in the bag

But would this be a haikyuu headcanon set without someone getting hit in the face with a volleyball?

No it would not

I’m pretty sure he would drop dead if he did tbh

Instead its tanaka

So tanaka is up to serve and at the same time, you’re walking over to grab something

The ball goes out of bounds because tanaka wanted to show off and he hit it with enough force to dent metal

But instead of metal, it was the back of your head

ouch

You fall forward, hitting your head again and land on your wrist as you try to catch yourself

Double ouch

The gym erupts into chaos

Yachi is sobbing

Yamaguchi is shell shocked

Suckyshima is laughing

Kiyoko is getting the first aid kit

Daichi and suga are running to you

Kageyama is stunned

Hinata is D:

Noya is maiming Tanaka

Tanaka is being maimed by Noya

And asahi

Poor sweet baby asahi is furious

But his body won’t move

He just witnessed the attempted murder of his girlfriend fiance wife mother of his children and pets crush friend!!

It takes him a good five minutes to come out of the shock

Now back to you, my friend

So i don’t know any language other than english

I know i know im working on it

But i can imagine that getting hit in the head twice can disorient someone to the point of not being able to process a non-native language for a good few minutes

So when they try to ask if you’re okay and you don’t immediately respond with words they’re concerned

But what’s even more concerning is the look you give them

You look at them like they grew two heads

Everything becomes even more chaotic

Tsukishima actually grows slightly concerned

Hinata is actively crying

Kageyama is yelling that he shouldn't be crying because he was not the one that was hurt

Yamaguchi was yelling for someone to call an ambulance

Asahi is still frozen

Tanaka and Noya are praying lmao

Kiyoko is back with the first aid kit

Daichi and Suga panic as well

They think you’ve forgotten where you are and who you are

Coach Ukai and Takeda, the reasonable adults deescalate the situation like pros

Coach Ukai tells everyone to give you space

Takeda aska series of questions to which you’re like

😃?????

So with his limited knowledge of your native language, he asks if you’re okay and then you nod

Okay everyone breathe a sigh of relief

He helps you up and walks you to the nurse and to get paperwork for the incident

You can’t tell me there won’t be any paperwork for this lmao

After you leave, they try to continue on with practice

Key word being try

Everyone is very worried so it ends early

Shocking, i know

Anyways, they all feel awful about what happened

So when the next day comes and you aren’t in class, everyone assumes you’re dead

Practice turns into a eulogy

Rest in peace my love

Jk you aren’t dead, just navigating an entirely different healthcare system and that takes some time

To make it worse, no one has your contact info and it’s a friday

So they have to go the entire weekend believing they killed you

But then you show up on Monday with a wrist brace

You didn’t break it, just sprained it

Tanaka omg he literally falls to the ground and begs for forgiveness

He thought you would be seething

You were upset at first, but you had gotten over it

You laugh it off

He is s h o o k

it was music to his ears

The third years weren’t lying, you really were super duper chill

When he stands up, you punch his shoulder lightly with your good hand and complement his serves

Again, he is s h o o k

But it was break time and the break was over so you parted ways

Noya deadass had to drag him to his classroom because he didn’t want to leave

Hinata, the sunshine baby boy he is, brought you snacks and cried because he felt so bad

Poor baby was blaming himself because he invited you to watch

Pls hug him tightly and give him all the head pats

You do lol

You give him a small hug after getting permission and ask if he needs help

You keep helping him, but you don’t watch practices

So Operation Recruit the Foreigner fails

She was happy and happily helped you talk to the coach and takeda

They triple checked you were sure after what happened last time

Ok finally (my last one) a scenario where the Karasuno boys (I will always trade Kenma for Tanaka) are at a Halloween party and their crush comes in wearing the sexiest/hottest costume that boy could ever wet dream of (they’re crush lost a bet and had to wear it). I’d love to see what each boy would want their crush dressed as and to see them flustered when their crush comes over to chat them up. Again you’re an amazing writer and I hope you see these! I’m crossing my fingers.

This request was suuuper fun to write and I chose the costumes off the personalities of these nerds, I hope you enjoy!!!

I wrote for the ones I chose in the mix of our boys considering they’re scenarios, hope that’s okay!!

Karasuno Boys (+Kenma) w/ a Crush in a Sexy Halloween Costume

Daichi (lmao don’t blame me for the choice of costume Dai is a simpleton)

“Consider yourself lucky I even came.”

“Boo, no fun, Dai!”

The captain narrows his eyes at his vice-captain as Suga shares a knowing grin with Asahi and Kiyoko as the first and second years run about through Kuroo’s abnormally large house. The shared halloween party hosted by the Nekoma captain himself consisted of the teams of Fukurodani, Nekoma, Aoba Joshai, and Karasuno along with their managers- a party in which Daichi Sawamura was not informed of the magnitude.

The Karasuno captain was decked out in a pirate costume, chosen to match with Sugawara, a costume Daichi would have never agreed to wearing had he known the party would be consisting of people outside the team he trusts.

However, there was no purpose in pouting. Before Daichi could scold Hinata and Kageyama for perpetrating a challenging game of Just Dance against Lev and Yamamoto, Yachi tugging on an arm of someone who had yet to emerge into the entrance caught his attention.

“Y/N~, come out!”

“I said I would wear it, not that I would show myself in it.” Your voice snaps, and Daichi involuntarily feels heat rise to his cheeks as he realizes: as a manager-in-training for the Karsuno team, the invite also obviously extended to you.

Daichi looks away from his conversation with his fellow third years to gape at the sight. He had definitely wondered what the girl he liked would look like in one-

he just wasn’t expecting to see it. In person, and not out of his late-night fantasies of seeing you in his jersey with nothing underneath it.

Yachi, dressed as a simple princess, giggled as you attempted to pull down the volleyball shorts that clung to your legs so tight almost like a second skin, a Karasuno jersey just barely covering your ass with low in behold-

The number one gracing your back.

Instead of the standard ponytail or braids, your hair fell in delicate waves down your shoulders, your goregous makeup out of place for the volleyball player costume you wore. You glare at Kuroo’s wolf-whistle and manage a small grin to the first-years that rush up to you-

“Y/N-chan, you look soooo pretty!”

“Shut up dobe, it’s not like our uniform is anything special-”

“It’s still a costume. She doesn’t play volleyball.”

“Thanks for the analysis, Tsukishima.” You laugh a little, moving through them to get to try and get to your seniors as you glare at the one who made the bet with you.

“Why Dai’s number, Kiyoko?” You whine, leaning on Daichi with totally platonic intentions as the captain feels himself stiffen. In more places than one.

Daichi keeps his lips sealed shut at the wink from Kiyoko as said woman shoves both Asahi and Sugawara along, claiming she needed their help with getting more drinks with the intention of leaving the two of you alone as Daichi bites back a groan. The usually steady captain leans against the wall, looking away nervously.

“U-Uhm y-you look-”

“Nice costume, Daichi-senpai.” You wink once they leave, moving to lean against the wall as well while running a hand through your hair. “Guess you could say I’m you, huh? It’s weird being in the uniform, not being a player and all-”

“Y/N.”

You arch a brow at the crack in the captain’s voice, surprised at how flushed the captain’s cheeks were before realization dawns on your features.

“You look really really nice tonight. The jersey suits you.”

“You think?” You fiddle with the hem of the jersey, noting the darkened expression on the captain’s face: either one of restraint or lust, you couldn’t tell. You smile through a bitten lip, finger tracing up his chest as you glance around, making sure no one could see as your breath tickles the captain’s ear in a surge of confidence.

“I think I’d look better without it, don’t you think?”

Daichi’s jaw slackens as you giggle, walking off to watch the Just Dance battle emerge with a sway to your hips, feeling the captain’s eyes bore into you from afar.

Looks like he could consider himself very lucky he had come tonight.

Sugawara

“Y/N, I will drag you. Don’t doubt I won’t.”

“Nooo Bokuto, You never said anything about actually coming in to the party.”

“You’re making a commotion, sweetheart.”

Suga frowns, raising the rim of his cup to his lips at Bokuto’s choice of names for you as the Fukurodani captain attempts to drag his manager into the party. Although the vice-captain knew damn well you would never make the mistake of going for the playboy known as Bokuto, Sugawara still felt an itch of jealousy at the close bond the two of you shared, hence the slightly tightened plastic cup in his hold.

Bokuto smirks at the stare from the gray-haired boy, thinking that the vice-captain should actually be thanking him, as a final tug pulls you into the party.

Suga chokes on his juice.

“A-Are you a sexy nerd, Y/N?” Akaashi manages out at the sight of his manager, heat flooding his cheeks at your knee-high socks and short school girl skirt, a pair of frames resting on your nose as your white button up only had two of the bottom buttons buttoned. Your hair had been pulled back into a messy braid, complete with a pair of open suspenders as you groan at all the eyes on you.

Sugawara moved his damn eyepatch just to make sure what he was seeing was the real thing, feeling sensual emotions wash over him at the unexpected sight.

The vice-captain remains shocked when you move through the herd of your boys to make your way over to him, a pout on your lips that was so unnecessarily attractive Suga had to gulp as you cross your arms over your chest, covering your red exposed bra with both arms.

“You’re the only sensible one here right now, Suga.” You sigh to your friend, plucking the cup out of Suga’s hand and drinking from it. “Is this capri sun? You know me so well.”

Snapping out of his trance, Suga clears his throat before chuckling lightly, tugging you out of the common area of the living room and into a more secluded, yet not completely empty room. Karui and Saeko point at the two of you excitedly, before leaving the room quickly as Suga takes even breaths through his nose- amazed he’s able to keep his composure.

“This-” Suga pulls you forward by the two sides of your exposed button up, fingers buttoning up the rest of the buttons, covering your bra. “Is dangerous in a house full of men.”

“Oh tell me about it.” You sigh as your close friend finishes closing up your top. “I lost a damn bet to Bokuto and-”

“You exposed yourself to these boys because of a bet?”

You blink at the raspiness and irritation now prevalent in Suga’s voice, suddenly at a loss for words as the look in his eyes makes your knees slightly weak.

“U-Um...yes? Is there a man to show it to only?” Your tone is teasing, but Suga’s burning stare makes your mouth go dry.

Suga clicks his tongue, eyes tracing over your figure one more time possessively as he suddenly turns, hand on your wrist.

“I have extra clothes in my car.”

He doesn’t have to turn around for you to see the redness on his features as a smile tickles the corner of your lips.

“Only if you want them.”

“Oh I do!” You chirp, letting him guide you out of the house as all tension drains out of the atmosphere, and Suga smiles to himself-

his hand moving to clasp in yours just a little tighter with his heated skin.

Nishinoya

“Isn’t it obvious? I’m a ninja. Duh.”

Nishinoya huffs, wondering why he had to explain it for the third time as Asahi laughs heartily, decked out in a sailor costume that exhibited the definition on his arms vividly. The shorter boy goes to pull his mask back up until the sound of your groaning voice catches within his hearing, the libero’s heartbeat automatically picking up.

“No! Oikawa, don’t be more of an asshole than you usually are-”

“Rude. A bet is a bet Y/N-chan~”

Pulling up his mask can wait.

Your sexy devil costume was tight in all the right places as your cheeks matched the shade of red your attire adorned as you stepped into the party, a steady silence settling around the room at your entry. Bokuto broke the silence with a sharp whoop from his spot next to Noya, who still had his jaw on the floor as you shyly pull at the leotard that resembled basically a red bikini, your attempt being futile.

Shoving out of Oikawa’s hold, you rush over to to Kiyoko, pouting all the while as the woman dressed as an angel giggled and adjusted your devil horns as she strokes your hair in a there there motion, making Noya’s heartbeat skyrocket even higher at the sight.

“N-Noya-san are you alright? You look faint.”

“I can die now. As a happy man.” The libero sniffs, not noticing you come over to the drink table and startling him from his position in front of the coolers. Now suddenly the most timid boy at the party, Noya blinks once to see that Asahi had left with the purpose of leaving him alone with his crush.

The shorter boy gulps when your finger presses at the bottom of his chin, shutting his dropped jaw as wide brown eyes gape at you, pink dusting over his features.

“You’ll catch flies.” You say simply, smiling a little through your bright red lipstick as Noya’s cheeks suddenly match your costume.

“HahAHAH flies. Right.”

You arch a brow, pulling at your stockings- oh god you were wearing stockings- as Noya tries to find steady ground, thinking that if any deity was ever giving him a sign- this was it.

As you throw back a drink, Noya does as well, the sound of the shot glass hitting the table.

“You look extremely sexy tonight, Y/N. I’m saying that in the least pervy way possible.” The words come out rushed as an amused tilt to your lips makes the libero calm a little, hand over his heart as if he was swearing something.

Your devilish attire had sent a rush of confidence through you as you find yourself playing coy.

“Well,” you take another step forward, Noya gulping when your fingers find the cloth of his mask. “I suppose this costume did make the guy I wanted to see it most find it that way.”

Noya remains frozen in shock as you pull down his dark ninja mask to place your lips over his cheek sweetly, winking once before escaping back to Kiyoko right as the adrenaline could rush down-

Noya soon following in your escape path soon after, your scent filling his nose as he wonders if he would be sinning tonight.

Kenma

“Your parties are lame.”

“Says the guy who didn’t even wear a costume.”

Kenma rolls his eyes as he relaxes more into his seat on the couch, the console in his hand sounding with beeps and the like as he mildly points a finger to the top of his head to an annoyed Kuroo through the heavy music and beer pong.

“This is a costume.”

“A pair of dollar-store cat ears is not a costume, Kenma!”

Kenma blinks at the foreign voice, looking up once to not only see a smirking Kuroo, but you-

your sensual cat costume hugging your figure amazingly along with drawn whiskers, a pair of more appropriate cat ears resting on your head than his as your sheer tights seemed to show even more skin than without them.

Subconciously, Kenma turned off his console right away, wondering just when the team manager of Nekoma he just so happened to have the biggest crush on walked into the party, much less up to him.

“Great party, Kuroo!” You beam innocently as Kuroo shrugs with an I-told-you-so expression to his childhood friend, Kenma glaring at him with flushed cheeks as the setter tries to find the right place to look. Anywhere else to look, please.

“What are you drinking, Y/N?”

“Juice. For Kenma too- and you better not be drinking alcohol Mr. Underage-”

“You’re not a manager tonight, remember?” Kuroo grins cheekily as you take a seat next to Kenma, ignoring all the pairs of eyes on you. “That was apart of the bet~”

“I’ll shove your bet right up your ass if you keep it up~” You respond in kind as Kuroo barks out a laugh before taking his leave, leaving you with the brain of Nekoma in the middle of a Halloween costume party.

Kenma clears his throat, setting his console down before looking off to the side shyly, a hand on the back of his neck.

“W-What bet did you make with Kuroo?”

“Trust me, you don’t want to know- I came here in this cat costume and that’s that.” You giggle, crossing your leg over the other as Kenma’s eyes slowly trail towards the movement, looking quickly away again before shyly looking down at his lap.

“Can I take a turn?” You nod over to the shy boy’s console as Kenma mumbles a barely coherent yes, before handing it over, giving him an opportunity to calm his racing heartbeat as he watches you take it excitedly.

“Parties really aren’t my thing.”

“...Same.”

Kenma feels a quirk to one side of his lips as he watches you- something out of a wet dream- excitedly fight against a computer in his game as he suddenly becomes glad he came to this lame-ass party.

“Are you gonna watch all night or play with me?”

“I suppose beating you once or twice won’t bite.”

“Did the Kenma Kozume just give me sass?” You raise your brows at the challenge as Kenma brushes some of his hair back, shrugging confidently as the man of the hour breaks your little moment.

“How are my two favorite kittens doing?”

“Go to hell, Kuroo.”

You and Kenma look at eachother before laughing at the simutaneous reply, the Nekoma captain biting back a comment at the fact that they were bonding over insulting him-

honestly glad that his plan had worked.

Tsukishima

“I really let Saeko help Y/N get ready for this halloween party.”

“...and why are you telling me this?”

“Oh you’ll see.”

Tsukishima spares Tanaka’s shiteating grin another moment of wonder before shrugging and going back to watching Hinata and Kageyama try to outdo each other in a (furious?) game of Cards Against Humanity, finding it wonderfully hilarious that neither of them seemed to be very funny at all as Bokuto won every round.

“And so she arrives.”

“Tanaka-san, why are you telling me like I care?”

“Cut the shit, Tsukishima! The whole team knows you’re a big softie for her.”

Before the cynical blonde could absolutely deny that claim, the loud cheer of Saeko grabs his attention before doing so. Tanaka’s older sister pulls you into the party with a knowing grin on her face as you embarassedly comply, stepping into Daichi’s house party timidly.

The nurse costume your body adorned was unreasonably tight, highlighting your upper and lower body parts amazingly, matched well with a nurse hat atop your head innocenly along with knee-high socks that seemed to make your already short skirt even shorter. You wave with a shy grin to the players from Karasuno as Tanaka has to hit Tsukishima to get his attention.

“I-I’m sorry-what?”

“I knew it, you softie.” Tanaka snickers, eyes widening when he sees Hinata and Kageyama making it a race towards you to compliment your costume, shoving Tsukishima before he can think about it.

“Go! Before those two can!”

Tsukishima goes to deliver a snarky rejection to the wing spiker only to find himself bumping into you, crude words falling on silent lips as your chest presses up against his frame in the process.

“Oh crap, Tsukishima-Kun, I’m sorry!”

The blonde moves to speak, but no words come out- only a blush coming instead to involuntarily spread across his cheeks.

“D-Did I hurt you?” You squeak out, and Tsukishima finds it extremely hard to meet your eyes when literally every aspect of your body he had admired from afar before-

was simply magnified with your costume.

“No.” The blonde rasps, taking his glasses off to wipe them at the bottom of his shirt. “I’m fine.”

“Are you really? Do you need a check-up?” You joke, doing a little jazz hands pose that the blonde couldn’t help but think was absolutely adorable.

“Sure.” Tsukishima finds himself saying before he can stop himself. “Give me one. You’re supposed to be a nurse, right?”

You blink, surprised, as Tsukishima glares at the crowd of Karasuno players looking on from behind you, suddenly wishing he could whisk you away somewhere private as a majority of them giggle like little schoolboys.

You timidly take out a prop stethoscope, looking down at it and fiddling with it. “I don’t really know where your heart exactly is, much less if this thing works at all-”

Tsukishima takes the device gently from your hands, moving to put it into both his ears and the circular part over your chest, trying his best to be as gentlemanly as possible.

“Here.” The blonde arches a brow. “Your heart’s beating out of control.”

Appearance:

Kato is a slightly tall first-year girl with a fit toned muscular body, Unlike most charter, Kato doesn't have a particular aura she is seen to be calm and friendaly most off the time, but when provoked or annoyed she is shown to have a more intimidating aura than Kageyama which can be highlighted and shown on her scowl face and piercing cold eyes, which gives off a look as if she is going to murder someone. She has black medium length hair with bangs that cover up most of her eyebrows and often has it lose, but when at practice or during games she has her hair ties up in a high ponytail. Her typical attire consists of either her school uniform or practice clothes.

Background

Kato started taking interest in volleyball during her second late year in elementary school, after finding some of her mother's old photos. Since than Kato took interest in the sport and started playing volleyball by herself in her backyard. Her brothers would sometimes assist her with her play, but would oftentimes be busy with there own sports.

After meeting Iwaizumi and getting saved by him from her neighborhood boys who bully her. Kato, later on, met Sayuri a new transfer student at her school, seeing how the girl was new Kato decided to befriend her and show her around. But when she sawed her getting bullied by a few of her neighborhood boys, she decided to take Iwaizumi's word into action and beat the hell out of her neighborhood boys, without realizing her strength. Since then the neighborhood boys where no terrified off her because they just turn a shy girl into a beast.

Ever since that situation happend, Kato ended up becoming less bullied and more of a person who was scarry. She ended up getting nicknamed the Raven beast of terror by most of the neighborhood boys because, she was now like her older brother Takaro, hot-tempered and scary looking.

After befriending Sayuri, Kato found out that she was in the same neighborhood as Iwaizumi wanting to see the guy who gave her confidence and not be afraid to stand up for herself she decided to hang out with Sayuri in her neighborhood. There she met Oikawa being impressed by his volleyball skills Kato pleaded Oikawa to teach her how to play because she had a hard time finding a mentor or learning how to serve.

Not wanting to teach the young girl, Kato ends up asking Yurika for help in volleyball because all Oikawa ever did was made her be his ball girl while he practiced. Seeing how Kato loved the sport, Yurika end's up teaching Kato how to play volleyball, all though Yurika would often play volleyball with Oikawa and Iwaizumi, she would sometimes ask Oikawa if Kato could join them.

All though Kato did join them, the situation would be quickly changed by Oikawa saying that she can't be on a team unless she show's aggression, which she does show later on by severing the volleyball towards Oikawa’s face out off dispute anger because she was getting tired of him criticizing her.

Oikawa, being the egocentric self, found Kato's weakness which was her temper to prove herself, worth. Whenever they played volleyball he would try his best to rile her up whether she was on his team or not, he knew that her pride and anger was her weakness. Seeing how Oikawa was bullying and tormenting Kato both Yurika and Iwaizumi knew that the next serve Kato was serving was gonna send Oikawa straight to the hospital if he didn't stop his attitude. Seeing how this situation was continuing towards there later years and not getting better. Yurika decided to give Kato a pep talk before she entered Junior high seeing how short-tempered Kato was, Yurika knew that Kato will have a bad path in volleyball if she kept this type off altitude.

When Yurika, Iwaizumi and Oikawa reached Junior high, Kato started to realize their friendship started to fade and fade away, not wanting them to break there friendship because of Oikawa's stupid antics off how Yurika was a traitor just because her father wanted to her to go Shiratorizawa junior high, she tried her best to make things neutral between them, that way no fights and arguments would arise, but that didn't start to end well for them. By the time Kato's entered her first year in junior high, it was clear that she had potential that would be much greater than other players on her team including Yurika the one who taught her how to play volleyball. However, Kato's exceptional abilities and knowledge of consideration for others and their struggle allowed her to become a favorable setter by those around her, she earned the nickname "Ms. know it all setter", because she was able to bring the best in all her teammates no matter what there flaws where even though she was a stubborn protectionist. Since her true meaning nickname was meant as a playful joke by her teammates as to how she was able to control her, teammates and show good leadership. Outside players assume that it was something bad but after a press review from her coach it was stated that her nickname given by her teammate was meant as a playful joke because she knew how to bring the best out of the people. During her first year of Junior high, Kato meet Kageyama at the junior high athlete meet, after accidentally bumping into him due to her droping her phone, and him returning it to herm the two later start to discover that they a lot in common than they have ever realized, the main one was how Oikawa being a huge jerk towards them. But after finding out that Oikawa, Iwaizumi and Yurika slipt there ways, Kato felt a bit pressured on how she was going to be dealing with the situation now that her Senpai splatted. By the time her third of Junior high, Kato's ability with her teammates have grown to the point where they made it to nationals during their second year. During Kitagawa Daiichi and Yukigaoka Match Kato was impressed at Hinata's jumping ability all though his wing spiker technic was poor he had potential to grow, but ever since that match, Kato started to get a bit worried about Kageyama seeing how bad his behavior was Kato was shocked to see the setter being benched during there later on games when confronting him what was wrong, Kageyama pushed Kato off saying nothing was wrong and she should mind her own business

At some point during the junior high national competitions in her third year, Kato ends up passing out on the court due to severely pushing her body off its limits and falling into cardiac arrest, which leads her teammates and her best friends into a state of panic because they taught they were going to lose her. During, present-day, Kato tries her best to not push her body too far as she did in her third year in junior high but since choosing Karasuno and realizing that all lot of the girls lacked potential due to there lack practice, Kato knew she had to break that promise and work hard for herself and team.

Being nicknamed the "Raven beast off terror" by her neighborhood boys and "Ms. Know it all setter", by her former teammates, as talented all-rounder setter and player, Kato has the potential to unify and lead her team with her overwhelming talents, all through she is able to communicate properly with her team and get them going threw the game. She never insists on how she feels and keeps her emotions towards herself. The only time she would show off her anger and control attitude when her teammates were not practicing all though Kato never experienced this during her junior high years, but when she came to Karasuno she tried her best to control her anger and temper around them, but ever since the inter-high she's expressed emotions off anger and controlling making her teammates think that she was now turning into the new king off the court. But after some time she quickly calms down and apologized, towards her teammates during the spring high saying that she was sorry because she was put under so much pressure by a lot of people. Asides from her being a really good setter, Kato has incredible game sense and speed, which allows her to play other positions including Wing-spiker and middle blocker, but she chose to play the setter position because it allows her the control and helps others at the same time. In addition to her skills, Kato can play other positions such as the wing spiker, middle blocker, and pinch server, since she has been playing volleyball since her early years of primary. But decided to choose the setter position during middle school, when her coach kept positioning her as a setter, do to her bringing out the best in her team.

Skills

Pinpoint Accuracy Kato is able to accurately throw and hit the perfect toss for her spikers anywhere on the court.

Overhand serve: Kato has a powerful overhand serve that her opponents are aware of and made comments about it being similar to Oikawa's Jump serve. All tho her overhand serve is'nt, strong as Oikawa's it is close to his range to a mimic of his jump serve.

Jump serve All though Kato has a good strong jump serve she, struggles to keep the aim off the ball in her opponent's side and thus causes the ball to go out, due to her strength. But during training camp before the nationals, she was able to perfect her jump serve aim, but still maintains to struggle a bit with the force because if you push or throw too hard, it goes out and if you try to aim it properly it might not have that much of a strong impact.

Outside setter: One of the most difficult sets, move Kato said she had performed. This move was originally made by accident during the Karasuno girl's high team aginst Shirato girls match. Kato performed this move by trying her best to save the ball from going in, due to quick hesitation the setter set from outside the court where the ball was going to go out. Seeing that the ball was back up it allowed Sasaki to spike the ball all through the spike was blocked it was still back up do to the team's consistent fit off keeping the ball up. All tho this was one of hardest moves to perform she tries her best to improve on the move by calculating how high or low she should set the ball.

Two setter attack Kato also has a sharp straight spike, which allows her to act as an extra wing spiker on the right side when her teammate Aoki is used as a setter.

Perfect set Her best toss is known as the perfect set, which allows her spikers to hit effortlessly unlike Atsumu who toss the ball to create an illusion, Kato, on the other hand, increases the difficulty of her sets thus creating improvement for spikers and there ablity yo get used to different type of sets.

Observant Perception Growing up with five older brothers who all played sports have given Kato an advantage to observe her opponents really well, due to helping out her brothers and watching them practice she was able to pick up a good game sensing ability before she even joined a team, as a result, she was able to read her opponents moves and emotions much like Oikawa how he was able to read Kageyama and Hinata's strategy on their god-like quick.

Kato might be the only female child but she has 5 older brothers who are extremely overprotective of her, during Kato's middle school days she brought over Kageyama to her house to hang out only for him to be attacked and frightened by her older brother Takaro.

Due to growing up with 5 brothers Kato is a bit more boyish than girly and prefers to wear sports clothes than skirts and dresses.

Kato's father work as a Deputy Chief director at Sendai's metro police station.

She shares the same jersey number as Enoshita, Yahaba, Fukunaga, Futakuchi, and Kanoka Amanai.

Wait, in the picture of third year!Hinata and the rest, none of them has the number 4. Hinata is number 5. And the number 4 is often the ace... Does that mean that Hinata never became Karasuno's ace??? I know that Karsuno doesn't seem to do care much about which number that goes to the ace, but why else would they skip number 4? (And no, Hinata couldn't have been the ace in second year, that would definitely have been Tanaka)

well don't forget that hoshiumi was the ace and he was number five. and karasuno doesn't seem to have the same tradition of having the "ace" be number four considering asahi was 3 and noya had the 4 jersey. it does seem weird that they would skip four though....

hinata did sort of let go of his desire to be an "ace" so it doesn't surprise me that he wouldn't want the number four jersey. he wants to become something so much more than just any ace. he wants to become something only HINATA can be. but he was probably the defacto ace anyway, it's not so much an "official" position, you know?

I don't know honestly!! :') I like five for hinata though, but maybe just because it's exactly half of ten and I like hinata with his number ten jersey :'')

Check Out Dress Rehearsal for Haikyu!! Stage Play's Final Show

"Hyper Projection Engeki Haikyu!! Itadaki no Keshiki (A View From the Top) 2, the 11th show of the stage play adaptation of Haruichi Furudate's volleyball-themed sports manga Haikyu!!, finally kicked off at TOKYO DOME CITY HALL in Tokyo today on March 20, 2021. It has been officially announced that it is the last show of the five-year-old stage play series.

The stage play project was launched in November 2015. It has performed more than 300 times across Japan and has become one of the most successful so-called "2.5-dimensional plays." "Itadaki no Keshiki 2" focuses on the match between Karsuno High and Kamomedai High, which is held on the third day of the Spring Interhigh Tournament after the match between Karasuno High and Nekoma High in the tenth show. Tickets for its final day perfoemance in Tokyo on May 9 have been already sold out.

The dress rehearsal was shown to the press the day before.

I know I've never posted much before and that no one wants to hear me rant but I can't bear it anymore.

I've caught up to the recent Haikyuu! manga chapter updates and BOY LEMME TELL YOU... I'm feeling so many emotions right now. Of course there's going to be spoilers here.

SPOILERS ALERT!!

Soo... First of all, the moment Hinata was pulled off the team because of his fever... I sobbed my eyes out. Because we all had an inkling of a feeling that without Hinata, Karasuno will probably lose. I kept hope that the crows would be able to pull this off and win... But reality upper cut us in the FACE... And Karasuno lost. The tears that were already accumulated in my eyes cascaded down and I thought back to all the amazing matches the boys played.

The memories they created with their team, with the ennemy teams, with Nekoma, Fukurodani, the training camps all rushed back and melancholy hit me. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I remembered the first time we learnt that Hinata couldn't receive or serve. I remembered all the times Hinata was told that he was nothing without Kageyama (thanks coach Washijo). I remembered the first time Hinata jumped so high my brain couldn't follow. I remembered thinking “Dang, this guy is going to be awesome.” I remember knowing for a fact that Karasuno will win nationals, because, hey this is an anime, a manga, like all the other sports manga I'v read, they will win, right? I remember the first time we meet Kageyama, how intimidating he is, until we learn he is just a big ball of nerves. I remember the first time Hinata and Kageyama doing theit freak combo and I remember thinking “So this is volleyball.” I remember the first time they fought because Hinata wanted to be a better decoy, a bette spiker and Kageyama being afraid that this will destroy their perfect combo. These two fought, but they stuck together because they were a team. Thanks to Karasuno, these two became aware of their positions in the team. Hinata, after being denied because of his height so many times, realized he could be the strongest decoy and embraced that name. Kageyama became more bold and less affraid of his spikers not keeping up with him. Hinata mastered serves and receives thanks to his surroudings, thanks to his mentors, his teammates and his rivals. They both became so, so, soo, so amazing. They became stars that shine unconditionnaly no matter where they are. I shed tears for this. For their growth and also because I'm glad I am a Haikyuu! fan.

These two monsters aren't the only one who grew. Tsukkishima became such a good blocker and he learnt to enjoy volleyball. He learnt to become better, that vb isn't only a club. It's a passion. Guess who else learnt to enjoy vb? Kenma. I cried when he smiled and said “Volleyball is fun.” I cried when he thanked Kuroo for pulling him into playing vb. I cried the whole match of Karasuno vs Nekoma because so many memories were brought up I couldn't keep track. I cried soo soo hard when the last point was taken by Karasuno and they didn't even realize it ended because “This match is so fun.” In conclusion, the Karasuno vs Nekoma match, I cried all the water I had in my body.

When Karasuno lost, I smiled but cried because I'm so proud of them, but they lost. The third years, the amazing senpais, are going to graduate and the 'Karasuno Volleyball Team' we are oh so familiar with will be gone. I wasn't ready to accept that this dream team will be separated and that they will all go on their separate ways. All the time they spent together pushed tears out once more and I cried because Karsuno Volleyball Team that year will always be a legend and I, we, will always remember them. Not only them though, we will always remember the amazing at defending Nekoma team, the strong Fukurodani team, the powerful Shiratorizawa team, the aspiring Aoba Johsai (the team that nurtured Karasuno as their first stronf rival team to face off in an official match), the Iron Walls of Date Tech, the amazing Inarazaki team and all the teams we've met and known throughout the plot. We will always remember their passion for this one sport, their amazing dedication and hard work, their tears and sweat and most certainly, their amazing plays and strategies. Though I am sad these wonderful teams got separated, though I am sad Karasuno couldn't play more together, though I am extremely sad that time couldn't stop and allow them to play together over and over again, we all know that this is reality and that we have to move on. When these characters face their own flaws and the imminent future so beautifully and brightly, how can we not follow them?

And thus, we move on to the future and the characters we use to know as high schoolers, children, become amazing adults, how can I not cry? How can we not feel emotional to see them achieve their dreams and become the best 'them'? We can't, because I couldn't. I cried tears of joy to se these amazing people be what they want to be. And it makes me want to try harder at what I am doing.

I thank Furudate-san for this opportunity of watching these wonderful people grow. I thank Furudate-san for including us in their up and downs. I thank him for giving me this beautiful work. I know Haikyuu! isn't done, I know it has even more potential but I felt like doing this rant today because these emotions are too strong for me to keep to myself.

Sorry if this rant is too boring or not to your taste. But I don't regret posting it because it represents what I feel. There may be grammar errors, but hey nobody is perfect.

I look forwars to the future Haikyuu! chapters.
