Inspo: Emile Mosseri - Jacob and the Stone
Pairing: Maddy Perez x Gn!reader
Summary: The stone that stood tall and would never full leave her memory...
Tumblr media
Warnings: Angst throughout with mentions of suicide.
Words: 1770
DNI IF YOU’RE YOUNGER THAN 18!
There was this stone Maddy used to go to.
Somewhere in the density of a forest right outside of Highland. Practically resting near the long breaks of the open countryside, this place resided.
It’d been a complete chance that she came to this location. Her car broke down with her friends and their goal to live the night up was still on the list of plans. So, they ventured into this forest and found this large stone.
She remembers Cassie being a ruckus and being the emotional drunk she was. Lexi was reserved and just talked with Kat. Rue and Jules were holding one another. But Maddy found you staring at this stone, perplexed or fascinated by it.
Maddy remembers you dragging your hand across the texture of the rock. Lips twitched faintly as the tips of your fingers gently caught the grooves; scars of its past and present. And something about it made you say, “It’s beautiful.”
Everyone knew you found beauty in the strangest of places. If it is some random obscured painting or one of those poems you would write in your free time–there was nothing you couldn’t find positives in. It had been what made Maddy fall in love with you in the first place.
And she remembers how you looked back at her. A look in your eye that was almost contentful. Like something had been decided the moment you saw this large stone. You had said, “If I ever die, I want to be buried here. I’ll even write it in my will.”
She punched your arm for saying something like that. Warning you that she would be the one to do the job if you brought something like that up. You smiled and laughed. And she remembers your arms curling around her and holding her against your chest tightly. Your face tucked in her hair where you pressed gentle kisses.
That had only been a week before everything happened. That was the last memory she had of you before you were gone. Swept up and taken wherever was after this life. And now, even after all these years, she hadn’t been able to bring herself to go back to that forest–to relive that moment all over again in a place that she imagine still had your lingering presence.
Today, it was the anniversary of your death. So, with the urging encouragement of Lexi and Rue, she drove up to the forest. She walked amongst the trees that the further she got, blocked out the sun that had been beating down on her since she got back from Highland. It left a massive veil between her and the outside world that hoped hadn’t desecrated this sacred land.
Then she finally arrived at the stone. It stood tall- maybe even taller than she had once realized. Its exterior was jaded–chips having fallen off from years of weather conditioning. And in a traditional fashion, your initials were etched into its face. Your name, your birthday and the day of your passing. Each letter and number is rough around the edges, but perfect as its own; much like you.
Flowers were scattered around the marked grave. Much of them came from friends that had specifically come down to visit and pay respects to you. There were postcards from Jules; she believed that in some way, they might make it to you somehow. There were stuffies from Rue who knew of your unhealthy obsession with said items. Lexi left some of your favourite books from your guys’ friendship being built from that.
But Maddy had nothing to offer. Perhaps she thought her visit was enough considering the time she’d pushed to avoid the inevitable.
Exhaling heavily, she forced a smile. “Hey, baby.”
She sat beside the grave with the faint outline of where it had been dug. She clasped her hands together, saying, “I would ask you how you were doing, but I think we both know that would just be stupid of me.”
Painful silence. She didn’t know what to say. What was there to honestly say? You had given up. Maybe you lost sight of the beauty in this world. Lost all hope for society and decided to clock out before you saw anything get worse. Or maybe you had been depressed the whole time but she was too blind to see it. People wore masks–some of who no one would expect. Maybe you were a part of that few.
But since you left, she tried to keep to what she had been before you left–be the person that you loved. So, she wasn’t going to try and beat around the bush with any fruitless questions or statements. “I want to say you left because you couldn’t handle living anymore. But somehow-” she laughed, shaking her head. “-something tells me your sick mind thought that becoming one with the earth was beautiful, huh? I mean, we both know that’s how your mind worked.”
In some way, with your passing, she felt like she had finally grown as close as she could get to you. With your family left in shambles from your death, Maddy had taken it upon herself to be the one to pack your belongings up. Place your clothes in boxes, trinkets in boxes, and all the little handwritten notes that lined your walls. And on the final day, there was only one poem left and she just sat in the center of your room and stared at it. Then she cried. Harder than she ever thought she could. She screamed and fought against the harsh grasp of reality that was; once she took that final paper, you were officially gone. You would be gone from her life forever.
But from time to time, when she came down to Highland to visit her parents, she stopped by your family’s house. She had dinner with them, talked about life, made plans for future holidays and then she would ask to look at the boxes.
There would always be a silence that fell over the kitchen. The uneven breaths from your mother who would purse her lips, forcing a broken smile that could crack as she grabbed Maddy’s hands and hold them tightly. Which would always be contradictory because of the tears in her eyes. And your mom would always say, “Honey, don’t ever feel like you need to ask.”
And your dad would sit there quietly, avoiding eye contact that could betray the tough exterior he had to keep. When, in fact, the wound of your passing was still fresh and it would always stay that way. No child is supposed to go before their parents.
But you did. You defied every expectation; good and bad. You believed in most people who didn’t deserve it. You found lessons in situations you had labelled, “misconstrued control”. Each of those lessons made you grow and in any way you could, you tried to pass this knowledge on to others. But you gave up and in Maddy’s mind and that substituted everything else out. Your action to leave so soon was unforgivable to her.
You gave up when things were getting good for the two of you. When your guys’ story was starting to pick up make things interesting.
“I started reading some of those poems you had taped up on your walls.” A faint smile twitched on her lips. “They almost looked like etchings of thoughts you never said to me.” Maddy’s lips trembled. She remembered clearing out your room and spending hours sitting in the center of that room. Unable to take her eyes off of all the deep and meaningful quotes that you were so infatuated with. If she’d known that she returned to your house in her dreams, finding you standing and staring at each poem with a smile, she would’ve never laid a foot inside that room.
Bowing her head slightly as she swayed. Sniffling harshly, she said, “If you must die, I’ll envy even the earth that wraps around your body.” Her tearful eyes lifted to the inscription of your name carved meaningfully into the boulder. Face twisting with her voice giving way. “And I fucking miss you, Y/n. I hate knowing something else will give you warmth when I could’ve filled that spot for you.”
Her voice cracked. A sob fell from her lips. “I shouldn’t be sad. You fucking left me!” She fell to her hands, slowly lowering herself where blades of grass brushed across her rosy cheeks that kissed the earth. Her body trembled as she sought the feeling of your arms once more. Fingers delving into the dirt, hoping to find your hands interlocking with hers the further she reached. “But I want you here. Even in my dreams, I just want one more day with you.”
It was a distant and unforgeable wish, she knew that. But she was desperate. She had to wake up most nights and cry herself back to sleep because that would be the only way to reunite with you once more. Through the pain, she was healed by your smile. And she trying to find a middle ground between acceptance and refusal.
But that was the thing–no one can have both. When someone is gone, we can’t do anything to bring them back. And with time, we will heal. It’ll hurt like hell and it’ll feel like that wound will always be open, but that’s what comes with acceptance. And when we least expect it, when we find someone that makes our hearts skip a beat like the person before once did, we’ll realize how far we’ve come. How much pain we were able to take and keep moving forward.
It's a sign to try again.
And it hurt Maddy to admit it, but she wanted to keep going. Keep you close to her heart, but far enough that she was allowed to think about the good times instead of the worst.
And what helped was for her to think about how your mind worked–your beliefs that she never could wrap her head around. With time, she learned more about herself and where she stood on the unappreciated qualities of life and the world she lived in. Maddy believed that in some alternate reality, the both of you were still together and thriving. And acknowledging that was beautiful in its own way because she got to experience it for some time–a small sliver compared to a counterpart, but still a gift. But a different version of her would feel it until her last breath.
Something like that was poetic, wasn’t it?

So I wanted to try a new lookbook concept (if someone’s done this before...disregard) that focuses on styling around 1 cc item. I was really inspired by magazines I grew up reading like Glamour and Teen Vogue that sometimes had a feature like this.
Hope you enjoy and get some inspiration for your sims fits! Also, you’ll be seeing more of the sim, Keziah, soon! I’ll be playing with her for my attempt at starting (and maybe not prematurely stopping) the postcard legacy challenge!

Unfortunately Im incredibly embarrassing and a sucker for sappy romance , so brave yourself: how would the ROs react if.. MC would write them love letters when they're apart, for anniversaries, for when the ROs are going through a hard time, and so on? Saying things they've noticed about them, things they'd like to share with them, things they love about them, and so on?? How would the ROs react, and would they write back or respond in some other way, and if so, how?? Listen I am a woman on mission here I wanna see them ROs LOVED hehe!!
oh god not the sappy shit
Val: 🥺 never knew they wanted a pen pal so badly. especially when they're away from the Holy City it's a good way to soothe their concerns over Io. definitely sends back postcards. reads each letter like 4 times until it's memorized, and keeps their favorites under their bed
Ira: as a stationary connoisseur, this is a dream come true. delighted to write back, their letters are practically works of art. yes they have a wax seal. would keep Io's letters in an album if that existed. keeps each in their notebook for a while until the newest arrives
Connie: the first time, is confused. every following time, is almost afraid to open the envelope because they know they'll have a lot of emotions to carefully pack away. doesn't write back unless they're away for a while. if you ever find their stash you'll see that the letters have been reread many many times
Kat: never comments on the notes/letters she receives but will start leaving notes where you last expect them. inside your shoes, the top of your door frame. they probably all add up to a final puzzle and treasure hunt lmfao.
klaus: you'll have a chance to see in ch 4 that klaus actually hoards letters and notes so rest assured he has a dedicated box for Io's correspondence that he keeps locked in his desk. probably won't write back, at least not often, unless specifically asked to

LingComm: 2023 conference
The 2023 LingComm conference happened in February, and was once again in the LingComm conference space in Gather Town. I enjoyed being on the planning committee that put together an amazing event that built on the inaugural conference in 2021. Stay tuned for 2024 lingcomm updates!

This year was a chance to reflect on the decade since I graduated, and to articulate the important role my main supervisor had in shaping my career.
After wrapping up the linguistics jobs interview series last year, this year was a chance to share some aggregated resources from 8 years and 80 interviews.
I also got to read a couple of great linguistics books for kids, keep up to date with linguistics podcasts, share some of my favourite linguistics books and check in on some things happening online.

The year ahead
I'll be back to work full time. I've found the low-key level of blogging I managed this year to be sustainable, so expect it to be business-as-usual here. Lingthusiasm will also continue with monthly main and bonus episodes, thanks to the patrons who support the show and ensure we have a team that can keep everything rolling while begin to take on more administrative responsibilities in my job.
I'm looking forward to sharing some things that are in the final stages of peer-review and copy editing, and I'm excited to be spinning up some new projects.

Jatp/10 Things I Hate About You AU
In honor of the third anniversary of the premier of Julie and the Phantoms here is the 10 Things I Hate about You AU I will never write.
I’m not going to explain a whole lot about 10 Things. If you’ve seen the movie this should make sense, If not I highly recommend.
Luke is Patrick – With his sleeveless tees and his doesn’t give a crap about school attitude. Think more brooding musician Luke, less excited puppy. He gets sent to the office all the time for skipping class to write music.
“You’re not afraid of me are you?”
Julie is Kat – Angry at the world. Her mother died three years ago and she’s moved on from grief to anger. The only scene I have an idea about is changing the dancing drunk on a table scene to singing karaoke drunk on a table. Cause I’d still want her to hit her head and have Luke catch her and take her outside and worry she’s got a concussion.
That whole scene on the swing set, need it.
“Why are you doing this?”
“I told you you may have a concussion.”
“You don’t care if I never wake up.”
“Sure I do.”
“Why?”
“Because then I’d have to start taking out girls that actually like me.”
“Like you could find one.”
“Oh, See, that, there. Who needs affection when I have blind hatred.”
“Ugh, just let me sit.”
“So why’d you let him get to you?”
“Who?”
“Bobby?”
“I hate him.”
“Well you’ve chosen the perfect revenge, mainlining tequila.”
“Well you know what they say?”
“Nope, what do they say?”
Julie passes out.
“No, no, no, no, Julie wake up look at me! Listen to me Julie open your eyes!”
Julie opens her eyes to see Luke hovering over her.
“Hey, what color even are you eyes? Every time I look at you they’re different.”
He smiles at her.
She throws up.
Reggie is Cameron – New kid in school. Completely smitten by Flynn the first time he sees her just like Cameron is with Bianca.
“I burn, I pine, I parish…”
Alex is Michael – He’s a band geek instead of future MBA (Masters Business Administration) like Michael was. He knows all the gossip about everyone. He’s the one showing Reggie around campus when Reggie sees Flynn for the first time. He could also be the one that sets up the apology song (Can’t keep my eyes off of you) for Luke to sing to Julie with the band chiming in.
Flynn is Bianca – Kat’s/ Julie’s sister. I’m going to go with Flynn being adopted a couple years after Julie was born.
“Can you for one night forget that you are completely retched and be my sister… please.”
So they wouldn’t be the same age like in jatp but a couple years apart like in 10 things. So everyone but Flynn and Carrie are seniors.
Willie is Mandella – Kat’s best friend who Alex has a crush on. No weird Shakespeare thing needed. Maybe Alex just leaves a regular old note in their locker asking them to prom? Maybe it’s not a “regular” note but one on the back of a postcard of a famous painting by Willie’s favorite artist.
Carrie is Chastity – Flynn’s best friend.
“I know you can be overwhelmed and you can be underwhelmed but can you ever just be whelmed?”
“I think you can in Europe.”
Bobby is Joey – It’s definitely believable that that character could be an idiot jackass and I think I can believe he’s a model if he was prepped up some (less grunge more styled). The only weird would be that he’d end up taking Carrie to the prom and most of us write them as related. I was thinking they don’t HAVE to be related but then again maybe it’d be even funnier if they were cousins and she was his only option after Flynn ditched him for Reggie.
Bobby punches Reggie.
Flynn punches Bobby.
“Shit Flynn! I’m shooting a nose spray add tomorrow!”
“That’s for making my date bleed!”
Punches him again.
“That’s for my sister!”
Knees him in the groin.
“And that’s for me!”
She helps Reggie up off the floor.
“Are you ok?”
He smiles, “Never been better.”
KISSES!
Nick is Bogey Lowenstein – Rich band nerd not cool jock. It works well enough.
“You guys please, take it outside!” Fighting boys crash through the window. “Thank you!”
Ray is Mr. Stratford – Kat and Flynn’s dad. I know on jatp he’d a photographer but he’d just have to be a gynecologist in this because all his panic about the girls dating is way too funny to skip and with the pregnancy belly he makes Bianca put on at one point.
“I know who you want to bend the rules for it’s that hotrod Bobby.”
Caleb is Ms. Perky –The principle. Who doesn’t want to see Caleb spending time writing a romance novel instead of disciplining the children? I can just see him trying to think of new words for “throbbing member” and Luke or Julie giving him an answer he’s pleased with.
“The point is Julie. People perceive you as somewhat…”
“Tempestuous”
“Heinous bitch is the term used most often.”
Julie grins.
“You might want to work on that… Thank you.”
“As always thank you for your excellent guidance Mr. Covington. I’ll let you get back to Christopher’s quivering member.”
“Quivering member, hum, I like that.”
Mrs. Harrison is Mr. Morgan - The English teacher, no stretch here.
Carlos and Victoria could still be there just in much more minor rolls. They would be pretty much how they are on jatp.

LITG - Episode 29
OK...now im fully feeding the delusions guys. Seeing Gabi for the first time AND with MC! The man was shaking in his boots and he knew he was in deep shit with MC..MC wasnt mad about Gabi she's pissed about Lulu and that he hasn't changed his ways which he never is able to express why. Guys....its not over.....
NARRATOR: Gets photographed, added to a postcard, and sent to their other halves. You’re welcome, boys!
NARRATOR: But which boys won’t receive a warm welcome when Casa Amor is no more?
NARRATOR: Let’s find out!
NARRATOR: Last time, bombshell Gabi made an explosive entrance when MC realized she was the waitress that Suresh cheated with.
Gabi runs into the garden, waving a postcard…from Casa Amor!
GABI: Oh em gee girls, look what I found!
KAT: Stop it! That is not what I think it is, is it?
GABI: Sure is…and it isn’t pretty.
The girls all clamour around each other to see the postcard.
DANA: Jeez. Where do we even start?
CHOICE: Let’s talk about Suresh
MC: I think we should start with Suresh sleeping on his own.
DANA: That could be the most shocking thing on the postcard!
KAT: I dunno about that.
DANA: One night on his own doesn’t mean anything.
CHOICE: Let’s talk about Alfie
MC: Let’s talk about Alfie with lipstick all over him.
DANA: There’s no denying that he has been making the most of his time away.
MC: Is that what you think?
KAT: Open your eyes, hun. It’s right there in front of you.
KAT: He’s hardly been crying alone, pining after you.
CHOICE: Let’s talk about Eddie
MC: Let’s talk about Eddie in bed with another girl.
MC: How do you feel about that Dana?
DANA: It is, what it is. Not like I’m sat here pining after him.
Dana winks at Gabi cheekily.
Kat whispers in your ear.
KAT: I give them two days, babe.
CHOICE: Let’s talk about Finn
MC: Let’s talk about Finn spooning another girl in bed.
KAT: That dirty rat!
DANA: It’s just a cheeky spoon, that doesn’t mean anything.
KAT: Oh yeah, because boys just love to cuddle up to girls they have no interest
in.
DANA: Don’t lose your head already. It’s just a spoon.
KAT:A bunch of horny dogs, the lot of them!
KAT: I can’t believe Finn is all over some girl in bed.
DANA: It’s just a cheeky spoon, that doesn’t mean anything.
KAT: Oh yeah, because boys just love to cuddle up to girls they have no interest
in.
DANA: Don’t lose your head already. It’s just a spoon not a marriage proposal.
KAT: They’re all just a bunch of horny dogs!
DANA: They were never going to be golden boys, were they?
KAT: I don’t know why you’re being so cool about it Dana.
KAT: If Eddie twists with this girl, that could send you packing.
DANA: Well, there’s not much I can do about it if he does, so no point wasting my
time moaning about it.
DANA: Besides, I'm having too much fun here to care about Casa Amor.
The other girls exchange sceptical glances - she’s not fooling anyone.
ARLO: Well, at least Suresh is sleeping alone and being well behaved.
DANA: For once!
CHOICE: Call Gabi out on looking happy
MC: You look pretty happy that Suresh is on his own, Gabi.
GABI: I’m glad he’s being a good boy for once in his life.
MC: Is that the only reason?
GABI: Yes. That’s the only reason.
MC: If you say so.
CHOICE: Ignore Gabi
You look away from Gabi’s happy smile.
KAT: Ohhh, someone’s happy Suresh is on his own.
GABI: I’m just pleased he’s being a gentleman for once.
KAT: MC how do you feel about Suresh’s empty bed?
CHOICE: I’m pretty surprised
MC: I’m pretty surprised to see it.
DANA: I think we’re all gobsmacked.
KAT: Someone should call the doctor and check if he’s feeling alright.
Dana smirks.
MC: It’s still early days though.
DANA: Amen. Plenty of time for heads to turn.
KAT: There better not be.
CHOICE: I’m glad he’s not turned his head
MC: To be honest, I’m glad he’s not turned his head.
DANA: Finally showing a bit of restraint.
KAT: I dunno about that, it’s still early days, ladies.
ARLO: Thanks, Kat.
KAT: What? I’m only speaking facts.
CHOICE: I think it’s pretty funny
MC: I think it’s pretty funny, seeing Suresh sleeping all on his own.
DANA: Finally showing a bit of restraint.
KAT: I dunno about that, it’s still early days, ladies.
ARLO: Thanks, Kat.
KAT: What? I’m only speaking facts.
CHOICE: I hoped he’d moved on
MC: To be honest, I hoped he’d moved on.
KAT: I wouldn’t worry, it’s Suresh, he’ll be grafting some girl as we speak.
MC: Do you think?
KAT: Course. That boy could crack on in his sleep.
NICOLAS: Oi oi, what’s cracking off over there.
The girls ignore him, fixated on the pictures in front of them. Eagerly, the new
boys join the girls, hungry for gossip.
PETE: What’s all this then? News from the other villa?
Kat hides the postcard behind her back, too embarrassed to show the new boys.
NICOLAS: Are the other boys up to no good over there, or something?
PETE: Bet they thought what happens at Casa Amor, stays at Casa Amor.
KAT: Who put the 10p in you lot?
PETE: I’m just saying, I wouldn’t trust those boys as far as I can throw ‘em.
JOHNNY: And some of those fellas are pretty hefty.
The boys laugh between themselves.
NICOLAS: Lucky you have better options right here then, isn’t it?
KAT: Right, well, thanks for that. Although I don’t remember asking any of you for
your opinion.
ARLO: I think we need a little chat, just us girls.
NICOLAS: Go for it.
NICOLAS: But, there’s no point pining after a bunch of lads who forget you exist the
second you’re out of their eye line.
Dana grabs Kat and pulls her towards the kitchen before she can snap back at
Nicolas.
You and the girls huddle in the kitchen, ready for a much-needed debrief.
KAT: The cheek of them lot!
DANA: I dunno. They are kinda right.
KAT: I know, you’re right. They’re right. Everyone’s right…but me. I’m an idiot
for trusting Finn.
KAT: The OG boys are clearly cracking on over there!
ARLO: Not necessarily.
ARLO: MC, what do you think?
CHOICE: The boys are cracking on
MC: To be honest, it looks like the boys are cracking on with the new girls.
KAT: Thank you!
KAT: You know what they say…a picture says a thousand words.
KAT: And these boys have written a bestseller!
CHOICE: The boys will stay loyal
MC: I think the boys will stay loyal.
KAT: Do you need glasses, babe?
KAT: Those boys are not even thinking about us.
CHOICE: It’s hard to tell from the pictures
MC: I dunno, it’s hard to tell from the pictures.
KAT: What’s hard to tell? You need glasses, babe.
KAT: Those boys are cracking on.
KAT: We leave the boys for one stupid night and they hop into bed with the first
girls they see.
KAT: And I’m sleeping on my tod like some muggins.
KAT: Nah, I’m not about that. Bye Finn-y babe. I’m done.
MC: Really?
KAT: Why would I waste my time with Finn when I’ve got three bombshells over there
desperate to get to know me.
DANA: Kat the heartbreaker is back!
KAT: You bet, hun.
GABI: A woman on a mission!
MC: So, who’s caught your eye then, Kat?
KAT: Owwwwf, well, they’re all fit as…but I gotta say that Pete is a bit of me.
Arlo’s face drops but tries to play it cool.
ARLO: I wouldn’t have put you with Pete.
KAT: Why not? He’s cheeky and has that naughty energy I love.
KAT: I reckon he’d keep me on my toes.
GABI: I say go for it.
ARLO: You’re clearly still into Finn and you’d drop Pete the second Finn got back
into the villa.
KAT: So what? I’m here to explore my options.
ARLO: You know that I’m enjoying getting to know him.
DANA: Which means…Suresh might be out on his arse!
DANA: MC how would you feel about Suresh being dumped?
CHOICE: I’d like it if Suresh is dumped
MC: I’d like it if Suresh is dumped
DANA: Agreed! Goodbye and good riddance!
GABI: Wow! That’s pretty extreme.
CHOICE: I don’t want Suresh to be dumped
MC: I don’t want Suresh to be dumped from the villa.
KAT: Why? Don’t trust yourself?
You roll your eyes at Kat.
GABI: It’s sad that someone will have to go!
CHOICE: It wouldn’t matter either way
MC: I don’t care. It wouldn’t matter either way.
KAT: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Tell someone who believes you.
You roll your eyes at Kat.
GABI: You wouldn’t care if Suresh was dumped from the villa?
GABI: Interesting…
You look at Gabi questioning her motives.
DANA: I reckon Eddie’s gonna come back with someone.
GABI: From the picture, it looks like he’s properly cracking on.
DANA: Exactly, he’s definitely not moping around thinking about me.
DANA: So, I shouldn’t feel bad about having fun whilst he’s away.
ARLO: MC, how do you feel about Alfie covered in lipstick?
CHOICE: I’m pretty jealous
MC: If I’m honest, it made me feel jealous.
MC: It’s not great seeing him covered head to toe in another girl's lippy.
KAT: I bet, I’d be fuming if that was Finn.
ARLO: Finn was in bed with another girl, which is probably worse!
KAT: Thanks for that, babe.
ARLO: I’m just saying.
CHOICE: I don’t mind at all
MC: I don’t mind at all, to be honest.
KAT: Who you kidding? If I were you, I’d be fuming.
MC: Doesn’t necessarily mean anything.
KAT: It means that he’s had another girl's lips all over him.
CHOICE: I’m not sure how I feel
MC: I’m not sure how I feel about it just yet.
KAT: If I were you I’d be fuming.
MC: But it might not mean anything.
KAT: It means he’s had another girl's lips all over him.
Kat is distracted looking over at the boys by the pool.
KAT: You know what, it actually might be good to get some male opinions.
ARLO: I think you’re right.
Kat shouts over to the boys.
KAT: Boys? Could you come here? We need a male point of view on something.
The boys jump up from the sun loungers and strut over to the girls, grinning to
themselves for being summoned.
NICOLAS: What can we do for you ladies?
Kat holds out the postcard for the boys to see.
KAT: Ok, hit us with the facts.
The boys crowd round the postcard.
PETE: Noooo way! He’s getting pretty close and personal.
NICOLAS: Ohhhh…they aren’t holding back are they. Check out those lipstick smooch
marks!
JOHNNY: Seems like things are getting spicy in the other villa.
Pete playfully nudges Johnny.
PETE: Jealous are ya, Johnny boy?
JOHNNY: A little, yeah.
KAT: Is that the way you should behave with gorgeous girls like us?
NICOLAS: No.
ARLO: Wow. Don’t sugarcoat it.
DANA: You were straight in there with that answer.
NICOLAS: What can I say, I speak only truths.
NICOLAS: What do you boys think?
They all turn their attention to Pete and Johnny.
JOHNNY: Oh…erm. Well, if I’m honest, I don’t reckon they are really thinking about
you girls at all.
PETE: From the looks of it, they are making the most of their time in Casa Amor…and
then some.
PETE: But, if I were coupled up with one of you girls, you wouldn’t catch me
jumping into bed with someone I just met.
ARLO: So you’re loyal then Pete, are ya?
PETE:
If I’m with the right girl, why would I look anywhere else?
ARLO: That’s good to know.
NICOLAS: Pete’s right. The boys are out of their minds to mess you girls around.
NICOLAS: You wouldn’t catch us doing that.
JOHNNY: Agreed. You’re all knock-outs.
KAT: Flattery will get you everywhere.
KAT: Well, if the boys are cracking on, so should we.
DANA: True! It’s not like they are going to stay coupled up with us.
You look at the new boys, these might be your best option to stay in the villa.
KAT: It would be rude to shut you boys down without even getting to know you.
PETE: I couldn’t agree more.
KAT: Yeah, I’m done with the old boys. I’m ready to have some fun!
NICOLAS: What about you, MC?
NICOLAS: Are you open to getting to know us boys?
CHOICE: I’m open to getting to know you boys
MC: I’m open to getting to know you boys.
NICOLAS: Great news.
JOHNNY: I’ll definitely be pulling you for a chat then.
MC: There’s no harm in having a few conversations.
NICOLAS: And seeing where they might lead…
CHOICE: Sorry, I’m closed off
MC: Sorry boys, I’m closed off for now.
NICOLAS: That’s a shame…for you.
NICOLAS: Because you’re making a terrible mistake.
MC: You think so?
JOHNNY: Yeah, I would have definitely pulled you for a chat.
NICOLAS: Well, it’s early days, I’ll be here when you change your mind.
CHOICE: You’ll have to wait and see
MC: You’ll have to wait and see, won’t you?
NICOLAS: Ohhh making us work for it, I like that.
You shrug your shoulders playfully, not giving anything away.
NICOLAS: I’ll see if I can change your mind.
JOHNNY: The ladies can’t resist you, ey mate?
NICOLAS: What can I say, I’ve got the chat.
Nicolas gives you a cheeky grin.
KAT: Let’s make the most of being here.
KAT: We are all young, hot, and single!
Dana leans in and whispers in your ear.
DANA: If I were you I would be getting to know these new boys.
DANA: If you want to stay in the villa that is.
MC: Do ya think?
DANA: You saw the postcard. You need options.
Arlo moves to the centre of the group and holds her water bottle high.
ARLO: To the summer of love!
NICOLAS: I’ll cheers to that.
They all clink their water bottles together as if it’s champagne.
PETE: You need to look everyone in the eyes when you cheers, or it’s seven years of
bad sex.
KAT: I can assure you Pete, with me, it’s never bad.
ARLO: Kat, try to be less desperate, please.
KAT: Arlo, try to be less uptight…please.
KAT: So, I feel like letting loose tonight. Who’s going to join me?
CHOICE: Join in with Kat’s grafting
MC: I’m up for letting loose and having some fun.
KAT: That’s the spirit, babe!
MC: Are you boys going to join us?
NICOLAS: Oh, I’ll definitely be joining you.
CHOICE: Remind Kat about Finn
MC: Are you over Finn already then, Kat?
KAT: Yeah. I’m not waiting around for him anymore.
MC: Congratulations. That was quick.
KAT: Thanks. I’m very practical.
CHOICE: Let Kat have her moment
MC: You should let loose Kat, you deserve it,
KAT: I know. I’ve been through enough in here.
NICOLAS: Well, I’m glad you’re up for letting loose. I’ll definitely join you.
KAT: I look forward to it.
DANA: All this chat about tonight, we better go get ready and bring our A game
ladies.
It’s all a go in the dressing room. Nervous energy crackles in the air as you and
the rest of the girls curl hair, carefully apply make-up, and spray far too
much perfume.
Arlo lets out a huge sigh.
ARLO: I have no idea what to do with my hair.
ARLO: Should I wear my hair up or down?
DANA: Babe, you need to breathe.
KAT: Yeah, you’re sending me into a spin just watching you.
KAT: Anyway, you have nothing to stress about.
KAT: It’s not like the person you like is all over some girl in another villa or
anything?
ARLO: I thought you’d forgotten all about Finn and were moving on?
KAT: I have. I am. I’m fine, OK?
DANA: Wow. OK, we’d believe you if you weren’t yelling.
Arlo lets out another sigh.
MC: Arlo, why are you so stressed?
ARLO: I’m not. I just want to make a good impression.
DANA: So it’s got nothing to do with the fact that you’re gagging to graft Pete
tonight?
ARLO: Oh, I’m not just gonna graft Pete tonight.
ARLO: Might as well make the most of my time with these boys and see where the
night takes me.
DANA: I’m no fortune teller but something tells me it’s going to lead you straight
into Pete’s bed.
The girls laugh together.
DANA: Also, don’t forget the OG boys could come back from Casa Amor any minute.
DANA: And they might not be arriving back alone.
The girls exchange concerned glances.
GABI: I didn’t even think about that. We’ve been in such a bubble.
MC: Are you stressed about seeing Suresh?
GABI: Nah. I can handle him.
DANA: Yeah. He is in the past. Let’s not waste time on Suresh.
DANA: Well, we better start thinking about it, ladies, because there’s gonna be a
lot of eyes on us.
ARLO: Don’t say that. As if I wasn’t stressed enough already.
KAT: I thought you weren’t stressed?
Arlo throws a makeup sponge at Kat’s head.
KAT: Dana’s right though. Our time could be running out.
KAT: We need to get our graft on ladies.
KAT: MC you gonna put your money where your mouth is and get your graft on
tonight?
MC: I said I was, didn’t I?
KAT: Ohhh she’s feisty. I love it!
MC: I can’t have Alfie recoupling with someone new and leaving me to be dumped.
DANA: I know you said you were closed off to the new boys, but I still think you
should give them a chance.
DANA: If not, you could be going home tonight.
DANA: I know you said you weren’t saying if you’re open or not, but I think you
should definitely consider getting to know them.
DANA: If not, you could be going home tonight.
You open the wardrobe and stare at the glitzy array of party clothes on offer.
DANA: If I were you, chick, I’d go for the blue dress with the thigh slits.
DANA:
No one’ll be able to resist you in that bad boy.
*TRYOUTFIT*
MC:
You’re right. Go hard or go home!
DANA:
Damn right!
DANA:
You’ve legs for days. You should make the most of them.
ARLO:
What am I gonna wear if you’re going to look like that?
DANA:
I think you should wear the knockout dress.
You’re right. I’ll wear it!
DANA:
Yeah baby! She’s ready to get her graft on.
KAT: MC, you’ve been pretty quiet since the postcard about who you’ve got your
eye on.
KAT: Are you cracking on with the new boys or holding out for one of the OGs?
CHOICE: I like Pete
MC: I’m gravitating toward Pete.
KAT: Ohhh, do you hear that Arlo? You’ve got some competition.
ARLO: Let the games begin.
CHOICE: I like Nicolas
MC: I’m gravitating toward Nicolas.
KAT: Ohhh into a cheeky charmer!
GABI: I could see you two together.
MC: Really?
GABI: For sure!
CHOICE: I like Johnny
MC: I’m gravitating toward Johnny.
KAT: Awww he’s a cutie to be fair.
GABI: I could see you two together.
MC: Really?
GABI: For sure!
CHOICE: That’s for me to know.
MC: That’s for me to know and you not to find out.
KAT: Alright, secretive Sally.
MC: I’m playing my cards close to my chest.
CHOICE: I’m all about the OGs
MC: My head’s still with the OGs.
KAT: It wouldn’t be if I were you.
ARLO: I’ve forgot all about those OGs.
DANA: Right girls, is everyone nearly ready?
DANA: I wanna start the party!
The girls whoops loudly - the nervous energy has turned into excitement.
Everyone congregates in the garden clutching drinks, giddy for the night ahead.
You notice all eyes on you…
PETE: Nice dress, MC. You look scarily good tonight.
MC: Thanks. It’s the dress.
PETE: Whatever it is, it’s working.
NICOLAS: Damn, MC. That dress looks incredible on you.
MC: Why thank you.
NICOLAS: No bother, babe.
JOHNNY: Wow, MC. You look amazing tonight.
MC: Thanks. It’s the dress.
JOHNNY: Dress, hair…the rest. It’s all great.
GABI: I wonder what they’re up to at Casa Amor right now…
KAT: Probably having a massive orgy.
DANA: You’ve lost your head.
KAT: What? I wouldn’t put it past them at the speed they’re cracking on.
NICOLAS: Still thinking about that postcard then, Kat?
KAT: What postcard? I’ve no clue what you’re talking about.
Nicolas laughs at her and shakes his head.
JOHNNY: Well, since we’ve seen the boys are making the most of their time away…
JOHNNY: Maybe we should join them.
MC: Join them?
JOHNNY: No. Not join them. I mean…do the same. Not…oh…forget it.
NICOLAS: I hear ya, pal.
NICOLAS: From the looks of that postcard, they aren’t thinking about you girls too
much.
KAT: Exactly!
KAT: There’s no denying that you’re all gorgeous, so it would be a real shame to
not get to know each and every one of you.
KAT: So who wants to go for a chat first? Pete?
PETE: Oh…er…sure.
KAT: Don’t be intimidated. I know it’s hard. But I promise…I’m very friendly.
Pete glances at Arlo nervously as Kat grabs his hand and marches him off to a
quieter spot.
MC: Are you alright?
ARLO: No. I can’t believe Kat.
MC: What do you mean?
ARLO: Out of all the boys, she chooses to crack on with Pete.
MC: I think she’s going to get to know them all.
ARLO: Nah. Look at her, she’s all over Pete.
You both look over to Kat who is stroking Pete’s legs, it does look very flirty.
ARLO: Do you think I should interrupt them?
Go gatecrash her flirt party
MC: You should go over there and join them.
ARLO: Yeah. You’re right.
ARLO: I’m not giving up that easily.
MC: Go for it!
CHOICE: Play it cool and do nothing
MC: I reckon you should play it cool and do nothing.
ARLO: Yeah, you’re right.
ARLO: I don’t want to seem too keen. I’ll wait for him to come to me.
ARLO: Thanks, hun.
CHOICE: Call Kat over here
MC: Why don’t you call her over here?
ARLO: Yeah. I’m gonna.
ARLO: I’m not giving up that easily.
But before Arlo can do anything. Kat and Pete walk back to the group.
Pete goes to stand with the lads, just out of earshot.  Arlo smiles at Kat
smugly as she joins the two of you.
ARLO: That was very brief.
KAT: We weren’t planning a wedding or anything.
KAT: I’m just keeping my options open and exploring my connections.
ARLO: And? Do you have a connection with Pete?
KAT: It’s too soon to tell, babe. But that boy is mighty fine, that’s for sure.
ARLO: Look, just back off Pete, alright?
KAT: Oh, so you’re allowed to graft all the boys but I’m not?
ARLO: You know I like Pete, you’re just doing it to wind me up.
KAT: I wouldn’t waste my precious energy on you, babe.
ARLO: Whatever. Just stay away from Pete.
ARLO: I think there’s a real connection there so you can play your games with the
other boys instead.
KAT: Jeez. Keep your knickers on.
KAT: I didn’t realise you’d stuck your flag in him already.
As the girls continue to bicker. Pete gestures for you to speak to him
privately. You go off with him to one side.
PETE: Hey. I just wanted to ask your opinion on something.
MC: Go for it.
PETE: I’m feeling a connection with Arlo, but I don’t know if she’s just rebounding
from Suresh.
PETE: Do you think we’d actually work together?
CHOICE: You would definitely work together
MC: Oh 100%. You would definitely work together.
PETE: Yeah? That’s what I thought. I just wanted to double check.
PETE: I didn’t want to go all in and make a tit out of myself if she wasn’t really
into it.
CHOICE: I don’t think you would work together
MC: Hmmm…to be honest, I don’t think you two would work together.
PETE: Oh. Ok.
PETE: Well, I’m glad I asked you before I made a fool of myself.
CHOICE: You should ask her yourself
MC: Why are you asking me? You should ask her yourself.
PETE: You’re right. Bit of a cop out there.
PETE: I’ll pull her for a chat in a bit.
You rejoin the group to find Kat flirting with Johnny.
KAT: I’m a great girlfriend. I always like to keep things interesting.
JOHNNY: Can you cook?
KAT: I said I’m a great girlfriend, not your mum.
KAT: Besides if we were dating, we’d be out for dinner every night, so it wouldn’t
matter.
NICOLAS: I’m pretty decent in the kitchen.
NICOLAS: If you ladies play your cards right, you could be in for a Brazilian taste
sensation.
KAT: Is that right?
NICOLAS: Damn right. My feijoada will blow your mind.
NICOLAS: Trust me. You’ll be begging for seconds.
Nicolas winks at the girls cheekily.
KAT: Don’t know what it is, but I bet it’s delicious.
KAT: So Nicolas, do you work out at the gym, or are those muscles from chopping
down huge trees.
NICOLAS: Errrr…I think you might have deforester and tree surgeon mixed up. But I
appreciate the compliment.
KAT: Ooops!
KAT: I had an image of you in a lumberjack shirt, clutching an axe, sweat dripping
down your back…
NICOLAS: Really painted yourself a picture there Kat, didn’t you.
KAT: What? I can’t help it if my mind wanders…
Nicolas catches your eye.
NICOLAS: Well, my job is not quite that macho but every now and again I do have to
chop down some trees.
KAT: Lucky trees. I wouldn’t mind being thrown around by you.
Everyone looks at Kat confused. Nicolas laughs awkwardly, unsure where this
conversation is going. Kat sucks seductively on her straw.
KAT: So Nicolas, have you ever done it in the woods?
NICOLAS: I haven’t actually…
KAT: First time for everything…
CHOICE: Call Kat out for using Nicolas
You pull Kat to the side and whisper in her ear.
MC: Come on, Kat. Don’t mess him around like that.
MC: Everyone knows you’re still obsessed with Finn.
KAT: What? We are just having a bit of fun.
KAT: Everyone is being way too deep.
CHOICE: Try to put Kat off Nicolas
You pull Kat to one side and whisper in her ear.
MC: I wouldn’t waste your time on Nicolas, he’s no Finn.
KAT: Chill out, babe, I’m just having a bit of fun.
KAT: You don’t have to be so deep about it.
CHOICE: Let Kat have a crack at Nicolas
You step back and sip on your drink, not getting involved in the conversation
happening in front of you.
KAT: So, Johnny, you seem very sweet but can you handle a fiery woman?
Johnny looks a little taken aback.
JOHNNY: Oh…erm. Yes. I would say so.
KAT: You sure you’d know how to handle me?
JOHNNY: Oh, I don’t see why not. You seem like a lovely…person.
KAT: Is that what you think when you look at me?
KAT: What a lovely person I am?
JOHNNY: No…I mean yes. You seem great.
JOHNNY: Any guy would be lucky to get a chance with a girl like you.
Kat smiles smugly to herself.
KAT: Damn right they would be.
KAT: So, would you say I’m your type?
Johnny looks at you and then looks away embarrassed.
JOHNNY: I think you’re very pretty and I’m really enjoying getting to know you more.
CHOICE: Call Kat out for using Johnny
You pull Kat to the side and whisper in her ear.
MC: Come on Kat. Don’t mess him around like that.
MC: Everyone knows you’re still obsessed with Finn.
KAT: What? We are just having a bit of fun.
KAT: God, everyone is being way too deep.
CHOICE: Try to put Kat off Johnny
You pull Kat to one side and whisper in her ear.
MC: I wouldn’t waste your time on Johnny, he’s no Finn.
KAT: Chill out, babe, I’m just having a bit of fun.
KAT: You don’t have to be so deep about it.
CHOICE: Let Kat have a crack at Johnny
You step back and sip on your wine, not getting involved in the conversation
happening in front of you.
MC: Hey, Are you ok?
KAT: No. All these fit boys and I don’t actually wanna get off with any of them.
KAT: What is wrong with me?
KAT: My chat is embarrassingly bad…and that never happens! Finn has seriously
messed with my head.
You laugh and put an arm around Kat.
ARLO: Looks like some people are making the most of their time in the villa.
Arlo nods towards Dana and Gabi who passionately snog on the day beds.
*Go flirt with Dana to win her back
****DIAMOND CHOICE ****
You wait for Dana to come up for air and then stride over to her.
MC: Sorry to interrupt but, Dana can I pull you for a quick chat?
Dana looks confused by the sudden interruption but follows you to the firepit.
Leave Dana with Gabi.
MC: I’m just going to leave Dana and Gabi to it.
KAT: You’ve lost your head.
KAT: Go get your girl before it’s too late!
*I’ll fight for her
MC: OK. I’ll do it. I’m going to fight for her.
KAT: That’s my girl!
You wait for Dana to come up for air and then stride over to her.
MC: Sorry to interrupt but, Dana can I pull you for a quick chat?
Dana looks confused by the sudden interruption but follows you to the firepit.
I’m not going to do anything.
MC: She’s already getting with Gabi. I’m not going to do anything.
KAT: Whatever, don’t say I didn’t try and warn you.
** If you’re not romancing Dana you get the second diamond choice **
**DIAMOND CHOICE**
You sit next to Dana and look deeply into her eyes.
Get your flirt on
MC: You look gorgeous tonight.
DANA: I’m obviously doing something right this evening.
MC: I’d say that again.
MC: So, are you fully coupled up with Gabi now then?
DANA: Hmmm…I wouldn’t say one hundred percent.
MC: Oh really?
DANA: You’re suddenly interested in what I’m up to?
MC: I’ve always been interested in what you’re up to.
MC: Because I’m interested in you.
Play it cool
MC:
You look nice tonight.
DANA: I’m obviously doing something right this evening.
MC: It definitely looked that way.
MC: So, are you fully coupled up with Gabi now then?
DANA: Hmmm…I wouldn’t say one hundred percent.
MC: Oh really?
DANA: You’re suddenly interested in what I’m up to?
MC: Maybe I am…
DANA: And why’s that?
MC: I think you know why.
Dana rolls her eyes but can’t help but smile.
MC: Are you…interested in me?
DANA: When have I not been?
MC: Well, you looked pretty into Gabi just now.
DANA: Oooooh, someone’s jealous.
DANA: I’m just having fun, exploring my options after everything that happened
before Casa Amor…
MC: That’s fair.
MC: And where do I stand in all of this?
DANA: Well, I was thinking of putting all my eggs in Gabi’s basket. But now you’re
right back on my mind.
DANA: You always seem to wiggle your way back in there.
Dana looks you in the eyes, it suddenly becomes very intense. Is she going to kiss
you?
Before you find out…
*** Second Diamond Choice // If Dana not LI ***
KAT: You need to think about yourself, babe.
KAT: I’m not being funny but Alfie is probably gonna twist with some hot new
bombshell.
KAT: And you’ll be the fool who is sitting on her own.
KAT: Just because my flirt mojo has evaporated into thin air, doesn’t mean yours
has to.
KAT: Go on. Don’t miss your chance to crack on with one of the new boys.
*Graft a new boy
MC: I don’t want to miss my chance.
MC: I’m going to pull one of the boys for a chat.
KAT: Yeah you are!
KAT: I’m glad you’re making the most of being here!
CHOICE: Ignore Kat’s advice.
MC: I’m just going to leave it.
KAT: You’ve lost your head.
KAT: You could be dumped from the villa if Alfie twists!
*You’re right, I’ll crack on with a new boy
MC: OK. I’ll do it. I’ll crack on with a new boy!
KAT: That’s my girl!
CHOICE:  I’m not going to do anything.
MC: I’m just going to leave it.
KAT: Whatever, don’t say I didn’t try to warn you.
You confidently approach the boys with a flirty smile.
CHOICE: PETE
MC: Pete, can I pull you for a chat?
PETE: Sure.
Pete follows you to the sun loungers. You sit down and beam at him.
PETE: So, what can I do for you?
MC: Well, I was wondering how you would feel about twisting with me?
PETE: Really?…Even though I just told you I’m into Arlo.
MC: Yeah, I know. But I wanted to find out if you are closed off to getting to
know anyone else?
MC: Or are all your eggs in Arlo’s basket?
PETE: Don’t get me wrong. I think Arlo’s a great girl and she is definitely the
person I’m vibing with the most right now.
PETE: But that doesn’t mean that I’m completely closed off to getting to know
anyone else.
PETE: It is still Love Island after all.
MC: Interesting…
PETE: To be honest, I had no idea you were even interested in getting to know me.
PETE: You’ve been keeping that on the low.
CHOICE: Get your flirt on
MC: I’m just keeping you on your toes
PETE: You can say that again.
MC: You’ll have to get to know me more to find out what I’m about.
CHOICE: Play it cool
MC: That’s how I roll.
PETE: Oh really? You’re playing it cool.
MC: You’ll have to wait and find out.
PETE: I honestly didn’t expect this from you, MC, this conversation has intrigued
me.
Before you can answer him…
CHOICE: NICOLAS
MC: Nicolas, can I pull you for a chat?
NICOLAS: Damn right you can.
Nicolas follows after you to the sun loungers.
NICOLAS: So, what can I do for you?
MC: Well, I was wondering how you would feel about twisting with me?
NICOLAS: Are you kidding? Have you seen yourself in the mirror?
MC: Not for a few hours.
NICOLAS: Well, let me tell you, you’re the best-looking girl in this villa.
MC: Are you serious?
NICOLAS: Damn right. Look, I don’t want to lay it on too thick but…
NICOLAS: I can feel a vibe between us, ya know?
NICOLAS: I reckon we have something going on here?
MC: Is that what you think?
NICOLAS: Yeah, and when Kat was flirting with me earlier I found myself wishing it was
you.
CHOICE: Get your flirt on
MC: Is that right?
MC: You wanted a bit of attention, did you?
NICOLAS: From you, always.
CHOICE: Play it cool
MC: You seemed pretty happy at the time.
NICOLAS: I’m a nice guy, I wouldn’t want to embarrass anyone.
MC: How kind of you.
NICOLAS: Thought I’d impress you with my Brazilian cooking but you were playing it
very cool.
MC: Well, I haven’t tasted it yet.
MC: You could be all talk.
NICOLAS: Oh, I can assure you I’m not all talk…
Nicolas looks at you and it seems like he wants to kiss you.
CHOICE: Lean in and kiss Nicolas
You lean in and kiss Nicolas.
He pulls you closer and kisses you deeply. He runs his hands through your hair -
it’s pretty sexy.
But before you even pull apart…
CHOICE: Pull away
You pull away from Nicolas.
NICOLAS: Sorry. Thought I’d shoot my shot.
Before you can answer…
CHOICE: JOHNNY
MC: Johnny, can I pull you for a chat?
JOHNNY: Of course.
Johnny follows excitedly after you to the sun loungers.
JOHNNY: Not gonna lie, I’m pretty pleased you pulled me for a chat.
MC: Oh yeah? Why’s that?
JOHNNY: Well…I’ve been wanting to get to know you a bit more since I first saw you.
JOHNNY: I’ve just been waiting for the right moment to pull you for a chat.
MC: Awwwh! Well, it’s happening now.
JOHNNY: Right! So, did you want to talk about anything in particular?
MC: Well…I was wondering how you would feel about twisting with me?
JOHNNY: Are you kidding? That would be…
JOHNNY: Really…really great. Yeah. I’d be up for that.
MC: Really?
JOHNNY: Errrr yeah. Have you seen yourself in the mirror? You’re a ten!
CHOICE: Get your flirt on
MC: You’re not too bad yourself, Johnny.
JOHNNY: Thanks.
MC: I’m serious. You’re a catch.
CHOICE: Play it cool
MC: I bet you say that to all the girls.
JOHNNY:
No, no. I really mean it.
MC: If you say so.
JOHNNY: Look, I don’t know if this is too forward or anything but…
Johnny looks deeply into your eyes and clearly wants to kiss you.
CHOICE: Lean in and kiss Johnny
You lean in and kiss Johnny.
He pulls you closer and kisses you passionately. He runs his hands through your
hair - it’s pretty sexy. Johnny has moves!
But before you can even pull apart…
Pull away
You pull away from Johnny and ignore his flirty look.
JOHNNY: Oh, sorry. Did I read this wrong?
Before you can answer…
You get a text!!
You stand up and read the text aloud to your fellow Islanders.
LITEXT:
Islanders, please make your way to the fire pit immediately. There will be a
recoupling where you must choose to stick with your current partner or twist
with a new Islander. The Islanders left single will be dumped from the villa
tonight. #TheBoysAreBackInTown #StickOrTwist
KAT: Oh my days! Finn…and the other boys…will be on their way back to the villa
any minute!
The Islanders sit around the fire pit, exchanging nervous glances as they wait
for the recoupling to start.
Dana gets a text. She stands to read the message aloud to the others.
LITEXT:
Dana, please decide if you are going to remain coupled with Eddie or if you
want to recouple with a new islander.
Everyone’s eyes flick between her and Gabi.
Kat leans over towards you.
KAT: Snoozeville, we all know she’s picking Gabi. She just needs to get on with
it.
MC: I don’t know. We just had a moment.
MC: But before we could properly talk about it, the text came through.
KAT: Jeez! Talk about bad timing.
Dana looks at you.
DANA: This hasn’t been an easy call. Especially after being reminded of a
connection I still have in here.
DANA:
I have chosen this Islander because they are a big ball of fun energy and not
too hard on the eye either.
DANA:
I’m looking forward to seeing where things could go.
DANA:
I have chosen to twist with Gabi!
Dana avoids meeting your eye. Kat squeezes your hand sympathetically.
KAT: Sorry babe, that must sting.
Gabi beams and struts over to Dana who kisses her passionately on the lips.
They sit together holding hands. Kat leans towards you and whispers.
KAT: Looks like Gabi’s sticking around then…
KAT: That’ll be fun for you.
You look up and see Eddie cooly striding back into the villa…alone!
EDDIE: Wow, way to show your true colours there Dana.
DANA: I’m all the colours of the rainbow, babe, you know that.
EDDIE: I can’t believe it. I stayed loyal to you the whole time.
DANA: You didn’t seem so loyal, whilst you were spooning some chick in bed.
EDDIE: What? How did you…
EDDIE: Nothing happened…out of respect for you.
DANA: I didn’t know that…
Arlo’s phone pings with a text.
ARLO: Arlo, please decide if you are going to remain coupled with Suresh or if you
want to recouple with a new Islander.
Arlo gives a broad smile, confident of her answer.
ARLO: I have chosen this Islander because he’s cheeky, fun, and always up for a
good time.
ARLO: I already know there won’t be a boring minute in the villa with him around.
ARLO: Unlike my current partner, who has a wandering eye, and hasn’t been as
focused on me as I deserve.
ARLO: This guy has given me all his attention and I’m ready to put all my eggs in
his basket!
Arlo catches Pete’s eye and winks.
ARLO: I’d like to recouple with…Pete!
Pete punches the air in celebration as he walks over to join Arlo. The other
Islanders laugh at his response.
KAT: Ohhhh, juicy! This might mean that Suresh could be dumped from the villa.
KAT: How would you feel if he left tonight?
CHOICE: I’d be gutted
MC: I’d be gutted if he was dumped from the villa.
KAT: Well, your only hope is he stuck to his old ways and messed around on Arlo.
KAT: Not exactly the start of a great love story.
CHOICE: I’d be delighted
MC: I’d like to see Suresh dumped from the villa.
KAT: I’d pay good money to see his face when he finds out he’s been rejected.
KAT: Well, I might be getting that show for free…
CHOICE: I don’t care either way
MC: I don’t care if he comes back single and gets dumped or recouples with
another girl.
KAT: Yeah, yeah, yeah, tell someone who believes ya.
MC: It’s true!
KAT: Whatever you say.
Suresh cockily struts in, hand in hand with new girl and complete bombshell, Lulu.
Suresh spots Gabi and freezes.
SURESH:
Gabi? What...what…are you…why…
MC: Lost for words, Suresh?
GABI: For once, the smooth talker has nothing to say.
GABI: How about, ‘Hi Gabi, it’s been a while since I ghosted you, how are you?’
Suresh looks from you to Gabi and back again.
CHOICE: Welcome Suresh back
MC: Welcome back Suresh, it’s good to see you.
Suresh is hesitant, unsure if this is a trap.
SURESH: …thanks. You too.
GABI: Yes. It’s so great to see you again. What a treat.
CHOICE: Call him a perpetual cheat
MC: Nice to see that leopards really can’t change their spots. Despite all your
claims.
SURESH: What…no…that’s not true…
GABI: You’re doing a great job of proving it for us, Suresh.
CHOICE: Ignore him
You look away, refusing to meet Suresh’s eye.
GABI: Not going to ask how me or MC are?
GABI: That’s odd. I thought you loved juggling women?
ARLO: Jeeeeez…this is awkward…
SURESH: I don’t know why because you’ve also recoupled, Arlo.
ARLO: Yeah. My gut told me you weren’t a keeper.
ARLO: And as always, I was right.
SURESH: But I don’t know how I’m the bad guy when you’ve done the exact same thing.
ARLO: Maybe because you said you were a changed man…but you’re clearly not.
There’s a long awkward pause.
LULU: Hi everyone. I’m Lulu.
KAT: Hi Lulu. Don’t worry, babe. This aint about you…
CHOICE: Warn Lulu about Suresh
MC: Lulu, I’d be careful if I were you. That boy is not to be trusted.
LULU: Oh, OK…thanks…I think.
MC: He’s a serial cheat and a game player.
SURESH: That’s not fully true.
MC: Isn’t it?
CHOICE: Kick off with Suresh
MC: You’re such a liar you say you’ve changed but you haven’t.
MC: You just can’t help yourself can you.
MC: You can’t be trusted.
SURESH: Come on MC, that’s not entirely true.
MC: Which part?
Suresh stumbles over his words.
Say you’re happy he’s moved on
MC:
I’m happy you’ve moved on and found someone else.
SURESH: Oh…erm…thanks…I think.
MC: I hope you two have found a good connection.
SURESH: This feels like a trap.
MC: No trap. I’m happy for you both.
You get a text!
LITEXT:
MC, please decide if you are going to remain coupled with Alfie, or if you
want to recouple with a new Islander.
All eyes are on you. Will you stick with Alfie or twist with Johnny or Nicolas?
The choice is yours…
NARRATOR:
Ohhh…decisions, decisions for MC.
NARRATOR:
Does she stick with Alfie, or jump ship with one of the new boys?
NARRATOR:
At least MC is really good at making and sticking to a decision…oh no wait.
NARRATOR:
Well, this is going to be interesting, find out next time on Love Island…

How are your celebrating World Chocolate Day?
You could paint a small canvas to look like a chocolate bar.  You could make a collage out of Kit Kat wrappers from Japan or maybe a map of Australia from Tim Tam wrappers or even postcards with your Niederegger Marzipan wrappers.
