i’m really missing Kate Herron directing Loki because it feels like she gave so much more thought into the little details of the show that meant so much to me and she would’ve given us sylki content that didn’t make me want to hit my tv
i’m also missing the aestheticness (is this a word ?) of the cinematography in season 1, as much as i am liking that we are seeing more of the tva (so i can try and get some sense of it’s workings) i will forever love the lamentis episode because the scenes were just *chefs kiss* (it was also a living bi flag) the void was also pretty cool and i loved the little hidden details that you could see in the wide shots

I saw post that said people should not criticize books and movies. And um....
No, that's not right. That's toxic positivity. People should absolutely criticize books and movies, especially if they perpetuate racist, ableist, or queerphobic stigma.
What people should not do is bully people online who disagree with their criticism.
Unless that person is being a racist, ableist, or queerphobic asshole.
What people should not do is hop on social media and tag the artists or celebrities they are criticizing, especially if it's negative criticism. Unless it's JK Rowling cause her Nazi ass deserves to get ripped apart every day of the year.
Y'all, if you're gonna be a writer or artist you have to know how to take criticism. You have to know that not everyone is gonna love your work, and that's not a bad thing. And people who consume media have to learn the difference between constructive criticism and straight up abusive bullshit.
Constructive criticism is helpful criticism. Telling a cishet author that their portrayal of a trans character, for example, is unrealistic is a helpful criticism. Harassing that kid from Heart Stopper until he was forced to out himself cause y'all were supposedly worried about authenticity was abusive bullshit. Saying that Kate Herron ruined Loki cause your stupid ass missed the fact that the series is about a version of Loki completely separate from the post-2012 movies is also abusive bullshit.
Are you starting to get the picture?
Acting as if there are people who don't put media out into the world to intentionally spread hate and fearmongering is not gonna stop fascism. It's not gonna solve the problems in fandom, either.
Pretending that art and media is not political is not gonna solve those problems, either.
If you have a problem with a piece of art then say so, but unless the creator is purposely going out of their way to do harm then leave them alone. Post your criticisms in the appropriate forums -- Goodreads, Tumblr, Rotten Tomatoes, IMBD, ect.
But stop acting like people aren't allowed to have opinions. We are. You don't have to agree with or respect them. That's what the block button is for👌🏻

The writers in phase 4 saying things like "I never watched the phase 1 movies or read any of the comics" or "we made up the backstory during filming" sounds like "I didn't study or do my homework so you should be very impressed with this C+ project I've done."
