At the end of last year, I watched Lost for the first time. I literally binged it like an addict, all 6 seasons in 24 days. And since then, all I've done is read fanfiction.

It had been a while since I last got this into a show, a while since I'd been excited to explore and read new fics (and not just stick to my favorite writers from the other two fandoms I've been part of).

But the thing about me is... I'm a binger. And I'm pretty sure I ran out of completed fics at this point. And I *need* more.

So I figured I'd ask the people who have been around longer than me: what are y'alls favorite fics? What are the fics that made you go "oh wow, I can't believe how good this AU is!" or "holy jingle bells, this even better than the show" or just anything that made you feel really good or really bad in a good way (for all the whumpers out there)?

Preferred pairings would be Jack x Kate or Kate x Sawyer

He’d think it was real if he hadn’t seen the makeup brush in hand and the darkest red eyeshadow you could get on the vanity.

His exact words were:

“What the actual fuck are you doing??”

You explained the whole shower makeup thing to him. He personally thinks you’re weird for this. Why do your makeup just to wash it off?

He doesn’t come in your room anymore before you go in the shower…

You drop the makeup brush, eyes wide. Blabbering about pre-shower makeup and how it’s practically a ritual.

He loves when you do your makeup, he feels like he’s getting in on something he shouldn’t know…

You’ll be sharing the stool of your vanity, brushing the makeup brush against his skin. As he try’s to sit as still as possible giggling as the brush tickles his skin.

(I searched it up, people w cipa respond well to tickling.)

He over all just loves when you do his pre-shower makeup. He feels like he’s getting pampered.

He’s a chancer and will try to join you in the shower too. (It’s up to you how it goes though)

She came into your room to borrow you bronzer for her pre-shower makeup!!

Like with Toby, it becomes a ritual of sorts and you guys ALWAYS!! Have to do it together.

And before you guys head into separate bathrooms to shower, lots of selfies will be taken to remember each time.

That may turn into an everything shower due to embarrassment from getting caught.

She’ll snort out a laugh, before closing the door and coming back in after your shower.

Will tease you about it as you guys snuggle though.

10. Describe their first date.

For their first date, Jack would take Kate to a fancy restaurant, because that's what he was used to women in his life enjoying and what he deemed appropriate.

She would be nervous, not really knowing what to expect, half scared that he would change his mind about having her and Aaron in his life again, and uncomfortable at the prospect of being in a restaurant so different from what she was used to, even though she had the settlement money now to make her somewhat fit in.

They would both feel the awkwardness from the start before either of them even ordered anything off the very unusual menu. But Kate would actually take her chances, expecting rejection, and suggest something more casual. They'd end up in a diner of her choosing - a familiar setting where she felt more at home and where the food was bound to be good and have decent serving sizes.

They'd both relax a little, with Jack being reminded that Kate was different from the women he was used to having in his life before the island and of how he didn't have to put on a show for her; he could just be himself and be comfortable and she wouldn't judge him for it.

After eating, sharing a milkshake, and talking for hours - to the point of feeling bad for not ordering anything else - they'd stroll around the streets until they find the beach, a setting all too familiar for them, and while it brings up some guilt (over the ones they'd lost and the ones they'd left behind), they'd instead reminisce the good memories from their time on the island and accept that the best way to honor everyone is to try and be happy. Together.

17. Who's more likely to pull the other in by the waist and kiss them passionately?

Jack. Only because Kate would straight up grab his face lol

33. Who's the better cook?

Neither of them. They're both average in the kitchen, but Kate makes better breakfast food, which she has more experience with from her days of helping out her mother in the diner and watching the staff cook from behind the counter. And Jack is better at simple dinner or lunch meals, so they share the cooking duty. But whoever doesn't cook the meal, washes the dishes. Yet Aaron is very vocal about liking Kate's cooking the best.

On God makes fun of you for it. Everything's fine until he notices your limbs jerking or you twitching and he's immediately like "Aw, someone's nervous?" all condescending like. Doesn't actually care that you're anxious but will do something about it if he finds your tics too distracting (which he does quite often).

꒰⸝⸝₊⛓┊Ben Drowned

He has those as well, but he doesn't get anxious easily so they don't show up much. Will get worried if he sees you jerking your neck to the side randomly and ask if everything's okay. Might not be the best at helping but he's willing to try.

꒰⸝⸝₊⛓┊Ticci Toby

Obviously, he's the least judgmental and most understanding when it comes to your tics. Actually kinda glad he has someone that can relate to him in that way, even if your tics aren't constant like his. Definitely tries to distract you so you're not as anxious.

꒰⸝⸝₊⛓┊Eyeless Jack

Also fairly understanding, even if he can't relate. Again, I think he's familiar with most mental disorders and symptoms from being a med student, so he's willing to try and take your mind off of things so you're not as anxious anymore.

Great, another Toby. Dislikes you and your tics at first because of association. Will straight up yell at you to quit it if he sees the slightest jerk coming from any of your limbs, which makes you more anxious and in turn makes you tic more.

Doesn't care, he's around Toby often enough. You might think he doesn't even notice it because of how natural he is about the whole thing. Will ask if you've got something on your mind if it gets a bit much.

Pokes fun at you a little bit at first until you explain it to her, then she'll feel slightly bad about it. The type to try and hold you still to stop you from ticcing and thinks she's doing a great job helping you.

Doesn't mind, doesn't care. At most will ask if you wanna talk about it when she sees you doing it, as she's quick to realize you only do it when you're anxious. The least she can do is land a ear.

Another one who'll try to hold you to make it stop, not understanding it at first. When you explain it to her, she starts calling it "anxiety tourettes" and thinks it's the most hilarious shit ever.
