With your exams being right around the corner, you asked your boyfriend aka the smartest person you know to help you study. Truth be told, Shirabu was hesitant at first when you mentioned it. Knowing you, he was sure you'd find a way to slack off and he really didn't want to spend his evenings babysitting you instead of studying. But how could he say no to you.

And here you are, trying to keep your eyes open after 3 hours of studying in his room. You promised him that you'd finish at least one more lesson before taking a break, but your concentration was slowly giving up on you. You didn't even realize how your head was already laying on your hands on the table, until you heard Shirabu's calm voice talking to you.

"Are you tired already?", you open your eyes to meet his soft expression staring back to you. He seemed so ethereal. The way the rays of the sun setting light his face. The way his hair slowly moves by the light breeze coming from the open window. The way his delicate lips turn into a small grin while you study his face. You swore you've never seen anything more beautiful and peaceful than this. "So pretty" you whisper with all the strength you got left, before giving up to your body's need for sleep.

If only you had stayed up a little longer. You'd get to see the way his soft cheeks took a tint of pink and the way his eyes widened the moment he heard your comment. Hell, Shirabu swears you could even hear his heart beating faster than any game he ever played.

He quietly moved closer to you, carefully not to wake you up. After gently caressing your face, he leaned and placed a kiss on your temple. "Look who's talking".

It's been a while since the last time you got to spend time with Goshiki. His matches and regular practices didn't really help with your busy schedule, but today, you finally managed to actually spend some time with each other by holding a sleep over in your dorm. Your roomate was gone for the weekend so the timing couldn't be better.

His head rests on your chest, while your hands are gently playing with his black locks and your legs are tangled together. Goshiki didn't mind being babied every once in a while, especially tonight when he finally got to see you.

"I missed this.. I missed you so much" he finally broke the silence, looking up to you. You smile at him as you move some strands away from his eyes. You lean closer and peck his forehead, "I missed you too baby" you reply as you softly hold his face.

An hour passes and you barely moved from your spot. You didn't talk much, but the silence was so comforting; just laying there in each other's arms, cuddling away any stress you two had. The atmosphere around your boyfriend is for once peaceful, so he can't help his eyelids closing and slowly falling asleep.

Of course you take notice of his sudden lack of movement. His hands had long stopped caressing your back and its been a while since he last turned to you to ask for a kiss. You gently caress his face and kiss his cheek for what it seemed to be the 100th time today. Your lips instantly turn to a smile at his adorable sight in front of you.

"Goodnight", you whisper as you softly cuddle him closer and place another sweet his on his temple, "My pretty baby"

Taking a walk together with Kawanishi was part of your daily routines. It was really calming for him to just take a break from his loud teammates after practice was over. And you of cource loved spending time with your boyfriend, even if all you did was taking small walks.

"Should we sit for a little? Are you sure you aren't tired?", you ask as you turn to look at Kawanishi. "Well, i guess it's not a bad idea. My legs are killing me today"

You giggled at his response, "You should have told me earlier! I don't want you to pass out on me you know". He grins mischievously as he leans closer to you, "Oh no y/n, I think my legs can't take it anymore" he groans dramatically, as he presses his whole weight onto you.

"Taichi-", before you know it, you are siting on a bench, with your boyfriend laying his head on your lap. "Much better..", he lets out a sigh, before you playfully poke his forehead, "Don't scare me like that you idiot!"

Kawanishi lets out a small laugh. Oh how you love it when he laughs. His expressions are usually dull and he doesn't show much emotion, but whenever you're together, you never fail to cherish his soft smiles and laughs.

"I know I'm irresistible baby, but you're staring a bit too much" he comments as he looks up to you. "I'm sorry, i just can't help looking at my pretty boy" Caught off guard by your compliment, Kawanishi turns his eyes away from yours, feeling his face warming up, "Pretty boy? Haha, who me?" he tries to hide how flustered he is by laughing it off.

"Of course", you gently hold his face, turning him your way. Adorning your boyfriend's reaction to your loving words, you lean closer to his face, softly kissing his lips. You pull away as you caress his blushing face, "Who else could be my pretty boy?"

He had his eyes laid on you since the first day. Observing your every detail. Taichi Kawanishi, your classmate, just can't take his eyes off you. He doesn't know why you just look so beautiful, so pretty, so gorgeous to his view. He loved everything about you. The way you tuck your hair behind your ear, the way your voice sounds, the way you laugh, he loved it all. And he just can't get enough of it.

You caught him staring at you with a gentle expression and a smile that just continues to grow. You waved at him and made a confused face, you wondered why he was staring so deep into you. You were also a bit surprised that you caught him smiling, something that is somewhat rare for him as he always has a blank expression or a scowl.

Taichi snaps back to reality and quickly turns his attention away from you. He's embarrassed and flustered at the same time. He's blushing, ears turning red, he covered his face with both of his hands.

Pretending to wipe his face off, he acted cool and unbothered again. As he turned to take a glance at you, he saw you laughing and giggling with your classmate. And suddenly there's this fluttering inside him again, he can't help but to let out a smile and so he quickly hid his face on his desk with both arms covering him. He thinks to himself, just why is it that he melts when you smile? why is he so amazed at every expression you make? why does he fall so much for your so melodic voice? He hasn't felt this way before, he wanted to somewhat stop this feeling but he also wanted to keep it forever at the same time.

"Y/N" do you have notes from our science class?, can I borrow them?" suddenly, his chest felt tight and he felt a mixture of somewhat sorrow, anger and a bit of envy as if something is being taken from him, yet he couldn't point what was causing it.

He was jealous.

A bit after lunchtime, he caught you sleeping in the classroom. Red hues start to appear on his cheeks. He admired your sleeping face from his seat. He smiles as if it reaches his ears. A genuine, true, happy smile. His thought fills with the present view he sees. He found your sleeping face 'cute'. And he'd like to look at it forever.

A classmate enters, and Taichi's head quickly turns and his smile fades to his casual expression.

It took him months to realize. Without Tendou pointing it out for him, he would've never realised on his own. Suddenly it all made sense, everything he felt when he was around you, the fast beating of his heart, the thoughts of you in his head, the scenarios he'd make of you and him.

He had a huge crush on you.

And he was quite good at not making it obvious too.

Tendou and his other upperclassmen suggested, that he should confess to you. It had been on his mind lately as well. He thought of it over and over.

Until he was sure, he was going to.

After thinking about it endlessly, he finally had the courage and confidence to finally confess. He's nervous but he's excited, he's happy that he could finally tell you how he feels and how he wants to be with you.

Now he's on his way to tell you. When he saw a scene that made all the fluttering go away and was replaced with a feeling that felt like his stomach dropped.

His best friend, Shirabu, was asking you out. And he only stood there in shock. As he saw you returning Shirabu's feeling. He felt broken inside. He couldn't do anything, even though he badly wanted to.

He couldn't reach you anymore.

It was at times like this that had you staying up late at night, staring at your ceiling, letting your thoughts run just thinking about him and what could've been.

What could've been if you weren't such a wimp and immediately swam after him after he dove too deep under the water with barely any oxygen left in his tank for a test of courage, because before you knew it, he was gone.

His family put you to blame for it, or at least, for half of it. There was no reason to do so, but you understood why. Still, nobody was to blame.

Or was there? Surely there should be a reason to blame you. After all, you were the only one present with him under the water before he had gone off deeper than anyone would whilst low on oxygen.

The guilt weighed heavy on your shoulders that you swear colours are draining from your life and that familiar feel of an uncomfortable tickle on your nose, telling you that a flood of tears were incoming.

But you let it be. You let the tears flow like you always do. The only thing present there that was enough for comfort was the inexplainable sadness of being alone as you experience grieving from his death. Your "friends" cried about it but moved on so quickly,

Tell me, how do you do that?

Even therapy wasn't enough to get over him because of the reoccuring reminder that you could have saved him, that you could have stopped him from that courage test, but you didn't. You were stupid to put faith in the oxygen tank that barely had anything to breathe from.

You could have stopped him. He was right before you before he disappeared, so why didn't you stop him?

Remember when I said this team was like super serious and stoic 😃

Well jokes on you because when you go on ANY outing, these boys are just as feral as the rest

Semi and Reon are the only adults

Man’s will just wander off, like he sees something and is like “hey that looks cool” and then just walks away 🚶

Tendou is riling everyone up constantly

Shirabu and Kawanishi are the actual worst to get excited about anything

Goshiki and Yamagata are just like super hyped about everything

Liberos are all hyper, prove me wrong 🤚🏻

Anyways, it’s literally so much work it’s exhausted

But never fear because our magnificent, wonderful and perfect manager, YN, is here to deal with everything!

And with summer break approaching, you get the bestest idea ever 🥰

So you bring it up at practice

“Hey guys! I think we should go to the beach this weekend!” You say, all cute and excited

“I have big hands so like covering surface area is definitely easier for me!” Tendou shouts

“THIS IS A JOB FOR THE FUTURE ACE!” Goshiki interrupts

“I don’t really think they care YN,” Shirabu interjects as you hand him the sunscreen and he helps you

The guys all watch and of course, brood because they are jealous bbys

“Alright it’s time for volleyball,” Ushijima announces as all the guys run towards the court leaving you to your own devices

You 👉🏻🙄 silly boys

But it’s ok because you can finish setting up and hopefully start catching up on getting some much needed vitamin D

Even if you don’t tan, sunshine is great as a mood booster 😁

However, what you don’t realize is that you’ve attracted quite the spectator crowd

Because your team isn’t the only one at the beach 👀

You guessed it, our besties at Seijoh decided to take a team beach vacay too

What a coincidence 🙃

Anyways, you’ve seemed to attract the attention of Seijoh’s #1 pain in the butt

“Hey isn’t that Shiratorizawa’s hot manager?” Yahaba points out

“What? Where??” Oikawa says, eyes alert at Yahaba points you out

“Yeah that’s her, damn Shiratorizawa is so freaking lucky!” Hanamaki says, glaring at Oikawa

All the third years, and the other years, know that Oikawa is the reason they can’t have nice things 😅

“I think we should go and greet her! She looks like she could use some help,” Oikawa says walking towards you

“Should we stop him?” Matsukawa asks as Kunimi pulls out his phone and hits record

“Nah, let Ushiwaka take care of him this time, I came here to relax,” Iwa says, getting a front row to the show

“Yoo-hoo YN!” Oikawa says as you turn to find the source of the agitating voice

“Oh hello Oikawa!” You say, pleasantly

“I just happened to notice you over here, looking absolutely gorgeous and was wondering if you needed any help?” He says as you stare at him

“I’m actually good but thanks anyways!” You beam as Oikawa dies at your cuteness

“You know Yn, I always knew you were gorgeous but I will say, that swimsuit looks incredible on you,” Oikawa says

You blush, “thanks Oikawa! I got it especially for our team trip.”

You turn and show him the suit because that’s what we do, we show off 👏🏻

Suddenly out of nowhere, a volleyball SLAMS into the back of Oikawa’s head

“Iwa what the hell-” oikawa says, turning to see whose actually responsible for the ball

“Hey guys! Are you hungry?” You say, completely ignoring Oikawa’s obvious concussion

“Ahh yeah YN we are just taking a little break,” Kawanishi says, coming up next to you and guiding you away from the scene

“Stay away from OUR manager Oikawa!” Semi growls as Reon nods

“Like she’d ever go for you anyways, she obviously has better taste,” Tendou adds

Meanwhile, Ushijima is just glaring, his arms crossed over his chest

“I’d maybe leave before Ushiwaka throws another ball at you,” Yamagata adds

Oikawa rubs his head, standing tall as a smirk appears on his face

“I was just helping your beautiful manager out,” he said as Ushiwaka glared

He walks away as Ushiwaka continues to glare

“Stop it, satori,” you say, despite loving it, and he knows you do, a smirk appearing on his face.

“Tell me about your day, babe,” you ask, changing the subject to stop his strong gaze on you.

He hums, closing his eyes. “Well…” he starts, before spilling his own words about the day he went through.

Mental exhaustion

─ Shiratorizawa (separately) x reader

─ Summary: you haven't been feeling well emotionally lately and they cheer you up.

─ Warnings: none

Tsutomu Goshiki

─ No matter what he does, this guy will always be nervous, especially when he can say something that will make you feel worse about your state.

─ He will treat the subject that makes you feel down very carefully, measuring his words to the smallest millimeter.

─ He will wrap you in his arms, still nervous, not only because he doesn't want to make your situation worse, but because he's hugging you, a person as great as you.

─ He'll dry your tears, although he'll definitely end up crying with you because he's a sentimental boy.

─ He will unravel too, you are glad to know that you are not the only one with pessimistic thoughts about life, at least someone can understand you at a certain point and help you in a certain way.

─ After crying for a while, he will subtly change the subject of the conversation, trying to get you to think about something other than what is bothering you.

─ He's not one of the best at comforting someone because he might end up giving you bad advice, but he's trying for you.

Shirabu Kenjiro

─ He gets right to the point, asks at the first signs that you haven't been looking good lately.

─ This boy isn't a big fan of hugging, or physical contact in general, but he can let it slide on certain occasions like this, he won't mind hugging you for hours in silence or talking if it makes you feel better emotionally.

─ He has little gestures with you more often, from holding your hand down the hall to leaving some food on your desk so you don't forget to eat something between classes.

─ He understands your situation once you let go of everything, he will not force you to get rid of your worries immediately, you can take as long as you want to get back to normal, he will accompany you all the way.

─ If you need more time with him, he won't mind sacrificing some of his study or training hours to be with you.

─ If you start to feel anxious at any point, he will let you play with his hands or hair to de-stress.

─ He is not one of the best with words because he is usually too direct, but that does not mean that he does not care about your state, he will always be there for you.

Yamagata Hayato

─ He cares a lot about your condition once he finds out, he'll ask you a little unsure if you haven't told him anything before, he just wants to make sure you're okay.

─ After you tell him that you weren't feeling so good emotionally, he begins to hold your hand continuously, he wants you to know that he is there for you even if you are going through a hard time.

─ When you are alone, he will take care of giving you double the affection, he likes to cover your face with affectionate kisses.

─ He will definitely skip school just to go see you, because you skiped too so he prefers to spend the day with you.

─ Whenever he gets a chance he compliments you on the slightest thing, like you're just breathing and compliments you on it, this guy compliments your mere existence.

─ He tries to make you smile, even if sometimes he has to do something stupid or get into trouble, he doesn't care as long as he sees you happy and out of your depressed emotional state.

─ He is one of those who cares the most, much more expressive with actions than with words.

Reon Ohira

─ Patient, very patient, he will notice that you are feeling bad, but he prefers that you be the one to express your concerns, he doesn't want you to feel pressured.

─ Once you tell him the reasons for your emotional exhaustion, he will offer you solutions or his help to make you feel better.

─ It will remind you of how beautiful you are, what a wonderful person you are, every day without fail until you start to feel better.

─ He will kiss your forehead and hug you more often, knowing what makes you feel better and when to use his weapons.

─ Small more frequent details, buying you a whim, more emotional or face-to-face support, he will do everything you ask without complaints.

─ He usually sleeps with you, but he won't sleep until you do it first, he'll stay caressing your hair while your head rests on his chest.

─ One of the best boys if you're looking for solace, taking your frustrations out on Reon always makes you feel good, he's very attentive and active just for you.

Taichi Kawanishi

─ He takes the situation calmly, he wants you to trust him to tell him your problems.

─ Although if he sees that you're not sure whether to confide in him about your stress, he'll ask you bluntly.

─ He is not very talkative, nor the best adviser, but he is the best listener you will find, you can talk all you want, he will always be there to listen to you.

─ But he makes up for it when, despite his harsh words, you tell him that you are simply mentally drowning, you don't even have time to assimilate and you're trapped in his arms.

─ His face is as stoic as always and it seems that he doesn't show much concern, but now he takes more time from his schedule to dedicate it exclusively to you.

─ This boy has good hands and he takes advantage of them to give you the best massages, even if this maybe doesn't ease your mind, the simple fact of spending more time with him does.

─ He's not normally very affectionate, at least not that openly, but now he'll just greet you with hugs and kisses no matter who's watching.

─ He is definitely not the best to show his affection or his words, maybe he has good advice, but he is one of the ones who cares the most about your health, physical and mental.

Sho

To other people it might have seemed odd when your boyfriend suggested strawberry picking for your anniversary but to you it made sense, that was Sho. You were roaming through the isles when you spotted a huge strawberry. "Oh yes! This one will definitely beat hi-" you were cut off when a giant hand reached over your shoulder and snatched the strawberry from you. "Hey! That one was mine you meanie!" you yelled at your big, redheaded teddy bear like boyfriend, causing him to burst out laughing while dipping the big strawberry in condensed milk, getting a bit of the cream on his lip in the process. Rolling your eyes, you couldn't help but let a smile cross your features. "Come on hanii , you know you love me.." He says and pulls the biggest strawberry you've ever seen out from his container, dropping on one knee, he holds the strawberry up to you. "Forgive me?" he asks while holding in one of his contagious laughs. Taking the strawberry, you gave him a big smile and pulled him up, "Yes of course!" you said while quickly pecking his lips and running away with the strawberry, leaving your boyfriend shocked to say the least.

Ren

The sound of the front door opening almost caused you to drop the bowl in your hands, you placed it on the table, tidying up the flowers and candles. Just at the moment, Ren walked into the kitchen, "Y/N, what is all this?" He asked in surprise as you had never surprised him like this before. "I just wanted to do something nice for you. You've been working hard for the comeback, I'm proud of you." you said causing him to pull you into his warm embrace, "Thank you, this made my day." he said while pressing a soft kiss to your forehead. "Let's eat!" he said and led you to the table. After you both sat down, he was the first to take a bite, "Mhm, oh my god.. this is delicious! You made this?!" he asked in shock causing you to laugh, "Hmm, you shouldn't question my cooking skills," you said playfully. He was so absorbed in the taste of the food he blurted out, "Thank you Y/N, seriously, I love this and I love you!" His eyes went wide, shocked he just confessed his love for you, he lifted his thumb up in embarrassment, "Um.. I meant this is good.. good job? " he said letting out a nervous giggle. You reached forward and grabbed his hand in yours, "I love you too Rennie" you said with the biggest smile on your face at how cute your boyfriend was.

Ruki

"You didn't have to come with me, you know?" you say to your boyfriend, Ruki, watching as he struggles with a baby goat that was currently trying to eat his jacket. "I couldn't just let you come out here by yourself, with all these wild animals!" He exclaimed, looking a little ridiculous in your father's farming clothes. "I appreciate it, Ruk-" your words were cut off when you let out a loud laugh as one of the sheep stole his hat right out of his hand. "Yah!" he yelled at the sheep, running after it but had no luck. "Wait! I have an idea." you said and ran to the house as he continued his battle. You came back a few minutes later to an exhausted looking Ruki, his eyes lit up when he saw you, "You're back! This sheep is so stubborn, we can ju-" he cut himself off and his eyes got even wider when he noticed the feed in your hand. "You're so smart!" He said and grabbed some from you. After a few minutes of negotiating with the very stubborn sheep, you guys finally got his hat back. "Yes!! Oh my god, thank you!" Ruki exclaimed and pulled you into a hug. Walking back to the house, he stopped you, "I guess I was the one who needed saving, heh.. thank you hanii" he said and gave you a quick kiss. "Anytime you goof" you said with a smile.

Junki

You were currently making your way to the dorm and as you were about to knock the door was pulled open by an overly excited Junki, looking as cute as ever, in something as simple as a plain t-shirt and jeans. "AH! If it isn't my beautiful girlfriend!" he said with a giant smile, pulling you into a hug. Laughing while in his embrace you pulled back a little to see his smiling face, "So what do you have planned for us this evening, cutie?" you asked while moving some of his hair from his forehead. "Ah! I'm glad you asked, first I thought we could cook a meal together, which I'm sure will be a disaster.. then eat while watching only the best movie of all time, The Avengers!" he exclaimed, shooting a charming smile at you with such happiness in his eyes. "I love it!" You said with a smile before you both made your way to the kitchen. All was well, you two were laughing a lot and making progress with the meal until Junki went to flip it. "Junki, I can do it if-" you started before he shushed you, closing his eyes and letting out a dramatic breath before he quickly tried, and failed to flip the food, causing you to burst out laughing. "You're so lucky you're cute Kono Junki." You said as you made your way over to salvage the meal.

Keigo

"Yah can I take this off now?" your boyfriend, Keigo asks for the third time, causing you to roll your eyes as you finished sprinkling confetti on the floor. "I just put it on you and besides, do you want to see your surprise or not?" you said giving him a playful nudge. "I DO, that's why I need this blindfold off.." he said in a playful tone, making you roll your eyes once again. "Okay Mr smarty pants, almost ready.." you said as you went to the kitchen and grabbed the furry little baby, bringing her over to the living room where your anxious boyfriend was waiting. Sitting her down next to him, you fixed the pink bow on her neck, "Okay take it off!" you said excitedly, waiting for his reaction. He looked around and was confused before he glanced down upon hearing a little "mew" and his eyes got wide when he saw the furry kitten. "A KITTEN?!" he exclaimed, picking her up ever so gently, staring at her in awe. "You got me a kitty?" he asked and hugged the animal against his chest. "I got us a kitten, I know how much you wanted a fur baby." you said while petting the baby in his arms. "I love you so much, you know that right??" he said while pulling you into a hug, careful to not squish the small kitten. "I do know that and I'm assuming you liked the surprise?" you asked with knowing smile."I love it!" he shouted while playing with the new addition to your family.

Takumi

Knocking on Takumi's door, the last thing you expected to see was your redheaded boyfriend wearing pink bunny ears and a bright smile. "Wah! You look so cute Kumi!" you said to him in a baby voice, poking at his new accessory making his smile drop. "Oi stop! I only do this for you and you know it." He said while playfully swatting your hands away as you two made your way into his apartment. Your smile soon turned to shock as you came face to face with a romantic set up in his living room, complete with candles, face masks, snacks, and your favorite movie ready to be played. "Kumi.. you did this for me?" you asked, on the verge of tears. "Yeah, you said you had a rough day at work so I thought this could make it better.." he said shyly and rubbed the back of his neck. "My princess deserves to smile." he said before he was pulled into your warm embrace. "I love it, so much. Let's do facemasks first!" you said and pulled him over to the cute set up. Getting on your knees, you pushed his hair back with the headband and gently apply the tiger face mask. "Yah you look so cute!! Let me take a photo please!" you said and snapped a photo of your boyfriend, causing him to groan "Y/n! ugh you're the only one who can see that!" he said sternly, making you roll your eyes and laugh at how cute he was.

Syoya

The sound of your facetime ringtone brought you out of your thoughts as you pressed the accept button, your smile widened when you saw your adorable boyfriend on your screen wearing an equally big smile. "Y/n! I missed you!!" he yelled into the speaker. "Hi hanii! I missed you too, I was literally just thinking about you" you said with flushed cheeks, causing him to let out a laugh. "I wanted to call you while I was alone, I wanted to tell you somethi-" his sentence was cut off by loud laughter and the sound of a door slamming, "I spoke too soon heh.." Syoya said with a pout just as Shion and Shosei made their way into frame. "Hey! Did you tell her yet??" Shion asked, not realizing you were on call. "shh.. she's on the phone right now.." Syoya said while pointing at you causing the other two to freeze "Oi heh, hi y/n!" Shosei said and hurried out of frame, pulling Shion with him. "What did you want to tell me?" you asked, slightly nervous now. "Oh um nothing bad, I just um.. I love you.?" Syoya said more as a question causing you to look at your boyfriend in disbelief, "really?" you asked to make sure you were hearing things correctly. "Yes, I do. I can't wait to be home with you." he said before getting up, "Look I know this was a short call but I have to go. I love you." he said, waving as the other two waved as well "Wait! I love you too Kimata Syoya!" you said causing the biggest smile to form on his face and the other two to cheer before the call ended.

Shosei

"Okay I think I should add the ingredients and you stir them.." you said as your boyfriend was trying but failing at measuring the butter for the cake you two were currently trying to make from scratch. "Hey! I can do it.. I just have to uh.. I got this." Shosei said as he continued his battle with the measuring cups causing you to let out a loud laugh. "Okay, okay.. you do that and I'll preheat the oven." you said, turned your back for five seconds before turning around to a flour covered Shosei, you laughed loudly as you covered your mouth in shock at how quickly your boyfriend got messy. "How? That i-is my only question hahaha" you got out in between laughter, causing his cheeks to flush. "A little help please?" he said with big eyes, making you feel bad for your boyfriend. You reached over and lightly wiped the flour out of his hair and began to wipe the white powder off his cheeks when he grabbed your hand "What are yo-" you began to ask before he pulled you into a kiss, covering you in flour as well. Pulling back he could barely see your red cheeks under the amount of flour that was now covering your face. "There we both look ridiculous. Now can you hand me the eggs?" he asked as if nothing happened, leaving you shocked and covered in flour.

Sukai

Carrying the shopping bags with you, you made your way to your boyfriend, Sukai's apartment. Knocking you waited excitedly for him to open the door, a smile forming on your lips when the door flung open to a smiling Sukai who automatically pulled you into a warm hug. "y/n! What are you doing here??" " he asked, surprised you were at his house. "I got you a few things! But the only thing is.. I want you to try them on for me" you said while looking up at him with puppy eyes. "ehh.. okay only because its you!" he said as he pulled you into the living room, placing you on the couch. "I'll go change!" he said and disappeared. Returning a few minutes later, Sukai had a huge smile on his face, "I literally love this shirt" he said while striking a few poses for you causing you to let out a loud laugh. "I love it! You look hot!" you said causing him to blush and hide his face "Thank you hanii, I love this and you" he said and sat next to you, pulling you on to him. "You're welcome Sky, anything to make you smile.." you said and pecked his cheek causing him to blush even more. "I love you too" you added and snuggled into your boyfriend with a smile on your face.

Shion

"Okay, try holding it up more on the right side." you said to your boyfriend, Shion, who was currently trying to hang up a painting you had found for your shared apartment. "um, I think you're going to need a taller boyfriend, maybe a giraffe." he said in a huff, arms struggling to hold the piece of decor any longer. You couldn't help the obnoxious snort that escaped as you let out a loud laugh at your boyfriend and the current situation. " Wha- you liked that? I have more jokes where that came from." he said and put the painting down, walking over to you. "What does a storm cloud wear under his raincoat?" he asked with a huge toothy grin on his face, looking at you with big eyes. "Hmm I don't know, what?" you said, holding your stomach from laughing so hard. "Thunderwear!" he yelled and let out a loud laugh, falling to the floor. You joined him in the over the top laughter, which soon turned into real laughter like always when you were around Shion. "Thank you for always making me laugh, I'm going to live forever haha" you said and tried helping him up, only to fall down on top of him igniting the laughter once again. "I don't think this will ever get hung" you said with a playful groan, "I think it looks pretty good where it's at" he said causing you to laugh once again, both your stomachs aching from the laughter.

Mame

You were fidgeting with your fingers as you felt the nerves and excitement course through you while waiting for the boys to finish up in the dressing rooms. You were here as a total surprise to all the boys, especially your boyfriend, Issei. Hearing the loud sounds of the chaotic boys, you turned and immediately found your boyfriend's eyes. The look of pure shock was evident on his face and he ran towards you, scooping you up in his arms. "Y/n! What! I can't believe you're here!" Mame exclaimed, as he slowly put you back down, arms still wrapped around you. "I wanted to show my support for my favorite idol!" You said with a wink, smiling at your boyfriend, causing him to blush. Your moment was interrupted when Sho and Junki came up behind Mame and started making kissing noises, "AWH look at the two love birds!" Junki yelled, barely keeping his laughter in. "Aren't they the cutest??" Sho asks, Junki agreeing. You had never seen Mame's face more red than it was in this moment. "He's so cute, blushing and-" Sho was cut off by Mame playfully pushing them away. "Oi! I have a girlfriend, get over it" He said and put his arm around you proudly. "I could cry, our baby Issei is growing up." Junki said and walked away dramatically, leaving you and Mame with nothing but red cheeks and laughter.

Chapter 9 - The Cinema Trip

(Chaotic Shiratorizawa Squad)

You were in your dorm, talking to Hanami about your new friends and how school has been like this far. She told you all the news regarding your friends from your previous school. It got quiet between the two before you noticed the smirk on her face.

"What is it," you looked at her, quirking up a brow.

"So," she had to keep herself from chuckling, "Tendō, huh,"

"What about him?"

"Come on (Y/N)," she slapped your knee, "you two definitely like each other."

"What," you exclaimed, "we're just friends!"

"There's definitely chemistry between you," she said, "it doesn't have to happen immediately, but you two will end up together!"

"Come on, Hanami," you sighed, "he's just a friend."

"Even if there-,"

"Even if there would be something between you, you'd have to get to know him first," she finished your sentence, "I know, (Y/N),"

You rolled your eyes at her, "you know, sometimes I hate you,"

"Aw, I love you too," she grinned at you, "it's always a pleasure to watch you realize that I'm right!"

"But you aren't," you winked at her before laughing, "but like, seriously, he's just a friend."

She narrowed her eyes, watching you as she tried to get to the truth, "just give it time-"

"He seems like he's totally into you," she added.

"Please stop it. You're just making things weird between him and me," you groaned.

"I'll stop," she threw her hands up jokingly.

Hanami noticed that you seemed to be telling the truth. However, she was sure your current friendship with Tendō would bloom into a relationship.

It seemed as if you haven't realized it yet - or you were scared to open up to someone new. After all, not a lot of time has passed since that happened.

"What about you," you brought her back to reality, "is there someone I should know about?"

"No," she groaned loudly, "there's literally no one. My love life is dead!"

You laughed at how dramatic she can sometimes be, "come on, maybe that's a sign to focus on school instead."

"Funny," she shot you a death stare, "coming from someone who is building a new life here,"

"Maybe-"

Just as you wanted to speak up, you were startled by a knock on your door.

"(Y/N), it's us,"

"It's open, come in," you chirped before Yuki, Mayu, and Akane entered the room.

„Ah, you must be Hanami!“

"Hi guys, it's nice to meet you," she smiled at them before each of the others introduced themselves.

You were chatting about your days and hanging out until it was time to meet up with the boys.

"Oh, by the way," you started as you locked eyes with Akane, "is there something going on between you and Reon?"

"What," she exclaimed, looking at you like a deer in headlights, "no."

"Actually, there is," Mayu grinned.

"Wait, for real," Yuki gasped, "I didn't even know about that!"

"Oh, is that the guy you've talked about today," Hanami got closer as she asked you.

"Yeah," you giggled.

"Akane, you two seem close whenever you're together," you started.

"Yeah, but kinda awkward at the same time," Mayu chuckled, "they went to the same middle school."

"Really," you looked back at Akane.

"Yeah, we were even in the same class," she explained, "we were close friends, but then we kinda drifted apart when we got into high school."

"Why," Yuki asked.

"Honestly, I don't know," Akane sighed, "to be honest, I did have a slight crush on him back in middle school."

"A slight crush," Hanami repeated with a questioning look.

"Just know that it means she was head over heels for him," Mayu laughed, translating Akane's choice of words.

"Well," you started, "do you still like him?"

"I mean," Akane sighed, "I do, but I don't know how to get closer to him."

"Wasn't he the one to ask you to join," Hanami asked.

"He did," Akane replied, "but- ah, I don't know."

"It does seem like he's interested in you too," Mayu said, "let's find out tonight."

"What do you mean," Akane asked, looking perplexed.

"We will make sure that you have some alone time with him," you winked at her with a grin.

"Ah, I don't know," Akane replied, sounding unsure.

"Oh, what time is it, by the way," Yuki asked, "don't we have to leave?"

Your eyes were fixed on your screen, "it's almost seven, let's go,"

You were going to the dormitory entrance, where you'd meet up with the boys. As you came around the corner, you noted that they were already waiting for you.

After greeting everyone, you introduced Hanami to them. They were all welcoming her before you were headed out.

Hanami wrapped her hand around your arm, pulling you aside, "who's that hottie?"

Your lips tugged into a smirk as you followed her gaze, "oh, that's Semi, he's a third-year."

"Well, the universe seems to have my back," she joked, grinning from ear to ear.

‚I knew that he'd be her type,' you thought, smiling back at her.

You were a large group, having Reon and Akane walk in the front, followed by Shibaru, Kawanishi, and Semi. You, Hanami, Yuki, and Mayu were in the middle, while Tendō and Ushijima were walking in the back.

Hanami elbowed you before you exchanged a knowing look. You sighed before chuckling, "go for it, girl!"

You watched as she picked up her pace slightly and started walking next to Semi. Yuki seemed to have heard your little conversation because she began to shake her head, "someone seems to have taken an interest on Semi,"

"I know," you laughed, "give her a guy with light hair, and she's a complete simp,"

"Girls," Mayu started, hooking her arms into yours and Yuki's, "I can feel this peer pressure-"

"Should I start looking for a boyfriend?"

You and Yuki started to laugh, "why not?"

You watched Akane as she walked alongside Reon, seeming deep in a conversation.

Hanami and Semi had parted from Kawanishi and Shibaru and were now walking in front of them.

There must be something about spring since not only were the flowers blooming.

"(Y/N)-chan," Tendō called your name.

"Looks like love is in the air tonight," Yuki whispered to Mayu.

You turned your head, slowing your pace to walk next to the redhead as Ushijima was on his right side.

"Did you find something out?"

You looked at him with a confused expression, which he seemed to notice as he pointed toward Reon and Akane.

"Oh, that," you exclaimed, changing your expression as excitement washed over you, "yeah!"

You grabbed his arm, pulling him closer to you, "so, they were in the same class in middle school-"

"Oh, I didn't know that," Tendō replied.

Ushijima looked at you with his usual expression, "he mentioned it once,"

Yours and Tendō's heads snapped towards Ushijima, looking at him with a questioning look, "he did?"

Ushijima nodded, wondering why the two of you seemed so pumped about that simple fact.

"Did she say something else," Tendō asked, moving his head closer to yours.

It seemed to have picked on Ushijima's interest as he mirrored Tendō's pose as he wanted to hear it too.

"Yeah," you replied, "but you have to promise not to tell anyone!"

"Pinky promise," Tendō extended his pinky towards you, noting how your lips tugged into a smile as you hooked your pinky in his. Albeit it was a simple gesture, it felt so intimate.

You and Tendō both looked expectantly at Ushijima.

Tendō elbowed him, "Wakatoshi-kun, you have to promise her too!"

"Sorry," Ushijima's gaze shifted between you and Tendō, "uh, I promise,"

You watched him as he did the same thing as Tendō, extending his pinky to pinky promise it to you.

The redhead couldn't help but burst out laughing at his antics, expecting anything but that.

Your lips tugged into a soft smile, "so, Akane might or might not has a crush on him,"

"Oh," Tendō exclaimed, "I wonder if Reon feels the same."

"Yeah, me too!"

Ushijima's eyes fixed on Reon and Akane, "it seems like they're enjoying each other's company."

You looked at Ushijima, following his gaze before turning back towards him, "yeah, you're right,"

You were smiling happily, wondering if anything was going to happen.

Your gaze lingered on Tendō as you remembered Hanami's words.

You arrived at the cinema, deciding to split your group up while one would get the tickets while the other would get some snacks.

You were standing in line with Ushijima, Tendō, Yuki, and Mayu to get some snacks.

Tendō lowered his head, having his chin almost resting on your shoulder, "say (Y/N)-chan, has someone taken a special interest in Semi?"

You chuckled, turning your head towards him and noting how close his face was. With a quick movement, you turned your head away, "Y-yeah, I knew that he would be her type,"

"Seems like she's his type too," Tendō said with an amused tone as he watched them from afar.

You were finally at the register and ordered some food and drinks, carrying them to the entrance to hall 3, where the movie would be played.

Hanami handed out the tickets, playing cupid as she split them up. She gave Tendō a ticket, winking at him, "you can thank me later."

He looked at her, failing to understand what she was hinting at. However, it hit him when she gave you the next ticket.

Your gaze moved from your ticket to Tendō, "I guess you'll be my seat neighbor! "

You were waving the ticket in front of you, smiling at Tendō as you entered the hall.

The chatter died down as the movie started to play. As the film was playing, Tendō couldn't help but add a comment.

Once the movie ended, your small group headed towards the cinema's exit. Everyone was engaged in a conversation, chatting about the film.

"Do you guys wanna do something before going back," Yuki asked.

"We could go to the arcade," Mayu suggested.

"That sounds like fun," Akane replied, watching as Reon nodded.

"Hanami and I are going to that pop-up bar," Semi started, "there's a concert."

"Semi Semi, are you hoping to get a glance at your future there?"

"Tendō, stop calling me that." Semi sighed, "does someone else want to join?"

"I'm kinda hungry," Kawanishi said, "I might go to that diner and meet the others at the arcade,"

"I could eat something as well," Ushijima replied.

"I guess we get going if no one else is coming along," Hanami said.

"See you later, guys," you said goodbye to them, "have fun!"

"(Y/N), what about you," Mayu asked.

"Ah," you sighed, "honestly, I think I'll head back,"

"Why," Yuki asked.

"Come on, it'll be fun," Mayu added.

"I know, sorry, but I just wanna go back," you said, hoping the others wouldn't be upset.

"Are you alright," Yuki asked, looking at you with a worried expression.

"Yeah, I promise," you gave her a reassuring smile.

"I'll go with you," Tendō smiled at you.

"Oh, you really don't have to," you said, "I'm sure you want to hang out with the others,"

"No, I'm good," he said, "besides, I don't want you to walk back by yourself at this time."

"Geez," you chuckled, "you really act like a chaperone,"

"Say what you want," Tendō replied, "I'll come either way,"

"Alright then," you said, "is anyone else going back?"

"I don't think so," Yuki said, scanning the group.

"Have fun, guys," you said, waving as you watched the others walk towards the inner part of the city.

"Let's go," you chirped at the redhead.

"(Y/N)-chan," he wanted to get your attention, "is everything alright with you?"

"Huh," you turned towards him, your brows furrowing in confusion, "yeah, why are you asking? "

"Heh, sorry," he rubbed the back of his neck, "just wanted to make sure."

"Is it because I want to go back?"

"Yeah,"

"Honestly," you started, "I'm like really in the mood to watch some movies,"

"Oh, sounds like a great plan," Tendō said.

"You wanna join me?"

"If you don't mind," Tendō smiled at you, "do you wanna go to my dorm-"

"We could use my beamer," he suggested.

"Oh, I almost forgot you had one," you chirped, "sounds like a good plan!"

As you got closer to Shiratorizawa, you noticed two familiar people walking toward you.

"Hi (Y/N)," Mina and Rina greeted you in unison.

"Ew, why is she hanging out with that weirdo, "Mina whispered to Rina. However, it was loud enough for you to hear.

"Did you hear something," you turned towards Tendō.

"kinda smells weird here," you muttered loud enough as you walked past them, tugging on his sleeve.

"Did she just-" Mina said as they watched your disappearing form.

"(Y/N)-chan," he looked at you dumbfoundedly.

"What is it," you cocked your head as you smiled at him.

"You didn't have to do that," he said, "they didn't say anything bad about you,"

"You receive what you give," you said, "they have no right to act like that,"

Tendō couldn't help but smile as you continued to go to his dorm.

Upon entering his room, you plopped down onto his bed. Which didn't feel as weird as it did the night before. Wait, the night before - it just hit you how much time you spend with the redhead.

You couldn't help but Hanami's words were racing through your mind.

‚Stupid Hanami,' you thought to yourself.

"Do you maybe wanna change," Tendō asked, holding one of his hoodies up.

You looked down, having a rather uncomfortable outfit on.

"Sure," you got up, taking it out of his hand.

The redhead noticed how you were about to take off your shirt. His face turned completely red, matching his hair.

Tendō threw his hands over his eyes to cover them, "(Y/N)-CHAN WAIT!"

You removed your shirt, looking at him with a confused expression, "w-what's wrong?"

He removed his hands, noting that you were wearing a cropped shirt beneath. Tendō sighed, "damn (Y/N)-chan, I thought I was about to witness something I shouldn't."

As if he wouldn't have loved to get a view.

You laughed at him as you put his hoodie on, "do you really think I would do something like that if I wouldn't wear anything beneath?"

"You never know these days," he chuckled.

"You sound like an eighty-year-old," you laughed at him.

You watched as he put his beamer on, plopping down onto his bed as you waited for him.

"What do you wanna watch?"

"Honestly, I'm fine with whatever," you exclaimed.

"A horror movie," he suggested.

"Sure," you replied.

He put a movie on as he plopped down next to you. It was dark in his dorm, as only his beamer illuminated the room.

You were munching on some chips as you watched the movie.

You didn't realize that Tendō had long lost his focus on the movie, having his eyes fixed on you instead. He wondered why Hanami made sure you were sitting next to him.

With that cheeky wink, it seemed like she wanted to hint at something.

'Could it be,' he looked at you, slapping himself mentally as he was sure you'd never fancy someone like him.

You weren't sure if it was the movie, but you felt like you were being watched. You turned towards Tendō and realized that he was the one watching you.

"What-" you looked at him with a raised brow, "what is it?"

His eyes widened once the realization hit him right across his face. Fuck, he was watching you for god knows how long, and you caught him. The worst was that he kept staring at you as he didn't know what to do or say.

"Tendō, "you were waving your hand in front of his face, trying to get him back from whatever planet he was on.

He shook his head, "heh, sorry, I- I was just thinking about something!"

You furrowed your brows, cocking your head to the side as you looked at him, "what were you thinking about?"

"Ah, it's nothing, really," he chuckled awkwardly.

You laughed at him, knowing that whatever it was - he didn't wanna tell you. Instead of pushing further, you just decided to brush it off.

The movie ended, and both of you decided to watch its second part. It was getting late, but neither one of you cared as you could just sleep in the next day.

"(Y/N)-chan, "he started, "can I ask you something?"

"Sure,"

"Doesn't it bother you that Hanami was spending the whole night with Semi," Tendō asked.

"Ah," you smiled at Tendō, "no, I really don't mind,"

"Besides, we'll spend the whole day together tomorrow," you explained.

"Oh yeah," he remembered that you and Hanami would visit your mother and grandmother.

"She's always been like this," you chuckled, "but I know that I can always count on her,"

He smiled in response.

Suddenly, you were startled when you heard a conversation outside Tendō's dorm.

"Is it this one," a familiar voice giggled.

"Yeah, just open it," the other voice said.

You exchanged a knowing look with Tendō before Hanami and Semi stumbled into his room without warning.

"(Y/N)," Hanami exclaimed happily.

"Oh god, were you guys drinking?"

"Just a little bit," she grinned.

Semi closed the door before taking a couple steps closer.

"How did you know where we are?"

"Well, you weren't in your dorm, and Semi said we could check if you're here," she explained.

"Ah, I see," your gaze moved to Semi, who had an amused expression on his face.

"So, what are you two up to," Semi asked.

"We were watching a movie before we got interrupted by two drunk idiots," you remarked playfully.

"(Y/N)," Hanami whined.

You and Tendō exchanged another look, knowing that you're now stuck with said drunk idiots.

"How was the concert," you asked.

"It was great," Hanami chirped, "we had a lot of fun!"

"Yeah, I really enjoyed it," Semi said as he smiled at Hanami.

"Looks like love at first sight," you whispered as you leaned closer to Tendō, who chuckled in response.

You watched as they walked over to the bed and sat beside you. You shuffled over, making you end up really close to Tendō. You turned your head, mouthing a "sorry "because of Hanami.

"Don't worry," he gave you a reassuring smile, "that one is my fault," he said as he nodded towards Semi.

You moved your head closer to Hanami, "you'll have to explain yourself tomorrow."

Hanami looked at you, giving you a playful wink, "nothing happened, I swear!"

You rolled your eyes at her childish behavior.

"Where did you even get alcohol," you asked.

"They thought we were over 20 and didn't even check for our IDs," she grinned happily.

You laughed, shaking your head as you knew that Hanami always seemed to find a way to get to booze.

The four of you continued to watch the movie, despite no one knowing what was happening. However, you were slowly getting sleepier. You decided to head back to your dorm once the movie ended.

But that didn't happen as your lids got heavier with each blink.

Tendō was woken up by the sun, which was illuminating his dorm. His eyes fluttered open as he wanted to know what that weird tugging sensation was. He looked down to his stomach to fix his gaze on your sleeping form.

‚How cute,' he thought, watching you as you slept peacefully, ‚fuck, she looks so good in my hoodie,"

He felt his cheeks heat up as you cuddled into him even more.

He just sat there in the utmost uncomfortable position as he didn't want to wake you up. So he decided to watch you as you seemed to have a sweet dream. At least judging by the soft smile you had on your face.

Hanami and Semi were both in a deep slumber next to you. Tendō tried to remember how everyone fell asleep, but he couldn't remember at what point that happened.

Tendō shifted as he tried to get into a more comfortable position, which seemed enough to stir you awake. You let out a soft groan as your eyes fluttered open, "huh, what the fuck,"

You blinked a couple of times, trying to regain your focus as you looked around the room. You noted that you were on top of something - or rather someone.

You sat up, eyes moving up before locking eyes with Tendō, who acted as if he had just woken up.

"I-" you blinked again, "did we fall asleep?"

"I guess," he replied sleepily.

You sat up, "sorry, it must've been really uncomfortable for you!"

"No, don't worry," he smiled at you since he actually enjoyed it.

You looked to your right, shaking your head at the sight in front of you. Hanami and Semi were wrapped up like a pretzel as they seemed to be in a deep slumber.

You turned your head back to Tendō, smiling sheepishly at him as you felt bad.

"I'm really sorry about that,"

He chuckled, "as I said, don't worry about it."

Hanami stirred awake, groaning loudly, "why are you being so fucking loud,"

"Do I have to remind you who stormed into the room, screaming around like a fucking idiot," you replied, "you're really annoying when you're drunk."

"(Y/N), don't be so mean," she whined before she sat up, yawning as she stretched her back.

Her gaze shifted to Semi before her lips tugged into a smile. She turned towards you, "(Y/N), I'll have to visit you more often."

"Me or Semi?"

She chuckled, "you know I love you,"

You laughed as you rolled your eyes at her.

"Semi, wake up," she said as she rather roughly grabbed his arm, trying to wake him.

The latter seemed startled as his eyes shot open, sitting up before looking around the room.

"You look rough," Tendō said in an amused voice.

"Ah," he groaned, "did we all fall asleep?"

"Seems like it," you stifled a yawn.

"Can we get some breakfast," Hanami asked as her stomach growled.

"Is the cafeteria open," you asked, turning towards the redhead.

"Only the self-service part," he replied, "you guys wanna grab some food?"

"Why not," you shrugged your shoulders.

"Count me in," Hanami exclaimed.

The four of you were headed towards the cafeteria, where you got yourself some chocolate buns and a milk tea. As you walked towards the tables, you noted that Ushijima and Reon were sitting there.

You greeted them as you walked to them where you'd sit down.

"You guys look rough," Reon said as his gaze lingered on Semi and Hanami.

"They deserve it," Tendō chuckled.

"Yeah," you laughed.

"You're just pissed because we bothered you yesterday," Hanami whispered in amusement.

You just cocked a brow at her, "says the one who literally wanted to bring a guy into my room,"

"No," she chuckled, "explain it later!"

You were chit-chatting with everyone until you finished your breakfast. The boys said their goodbyes to Hanami before you headed to your dorm.

"(Y/N)," Hanami started, "I'm in love,"

"HAH," you looked at her, "Hanami you just met him!"

"Still," she sighed, "we'll get together!"

You rolled her eyes at her, "you are really just unbelievable,"

"You know what that means," she started, grinning at you, "you'll HAVE to get together with Tendō."

"Come on, Hanami," you groaned, "how many times do we have to talk this through?"

"Okay, okay, "she said, "we'll postpone this convo,"

"Thank god," you muttered.

"I just quickly want to point out the fact that you're wearing his hoodie," she couldn't keep herself from chuckling.

However, she quickly dismissed her antics as you gave her a death scare.

Hanami told you about her night with Semi as you were hanging out in your dorm. The other girls came by to say goodbye to her before your mother picked you up.

"(Y/N), you have such great friends here," she said with a content smile.

After midday, your mother picked you up. She was also happy to see Hanami driving back to your new yet familiar home.

You spent the day with your mother, grandmother, and Hanami.

Chapter 7: Fiesta

character: shiratorizawa team and reader.

warnings: none, just some swearing.

note: sorry if I haven’t posted in 2 years, a lot of things happened and yeah.

School festivals are one of the most exciting events that the students are looking forward to every school year. The different attractions that each class and students have prepared, the various events the school had lined up, and the wide array of foods made available for everyone to enjoy.

The festivity usually lasts for about a week, starting off with the opening ceremony in the form of a little parade around the school area, and ending it with an amazing fireworks display partnered with a bonfire.

And with Shiratorizawa being a rich school – as what most outsiders would say – everything is pretty much a little too extravagant. However, it’s only fair, with the tuition fee so high, what else would they use it other than for things that would benefit their students?

“I don’t think 1 week is enough to go through all of these” you unfolded the pamphlet you were holding. Skimming through the events scheduled for each day, the attractions and their locations. Everything was written to serve as guides to the outsiders visiting and to the students and faculty as well.

Goshiki leans down a little as he too tries to read what’s written on the pamphlet, recognizing a few, and making a mental note as to what attractions he should visit next.

“’Tomu-kun, do you know the name of the play our senpai’s will be doing? Tendou-san mentioned it before but I forgot”

Goshiki hums as he tries to remember, whilst you continue to flip the pamphlet over and over again to find it in the schedule. “I think it was ‘The Demon King: Conquering the Last Kingdom”

“Ah, here it is” you tap on the part where the play’s date, time, and venue was specified. “It’s tonight”

“Let’s watch it with Shirabu-san and Kawanishi-san later” he took his phone from his pocket, as he snapped a picture of the play’s information so it wouldn’t be hard to look for it later in case one of you forgets.

He pockets his phone as the two of you continue to walk down the hall of the second years’ building. The two of you had just finished your shift and had agreed to spend the rest of the day going through the various attractions the class had to offer.

“(Y/n)-chan –“ Goshiki started, placing a hand on your shoulder and giving it a light squeeze. “- isn’t that Kawanishi-san?”

You look up at him for a second before following his line of sight. There stood in front of a classroom just a few feet away was Kawanishi Taichi, the middle blocker of Shiratorizawa’s volleyball club wearing what seems to be a rip off of Alice’s dress.

“What the hell?” you both stay rooted on your spot, watching as your senior rocking that ridiculous outfit.

The light blue dress only reaches the middle of his thighs displaying his long muscled legs. A golden pocket watch dangling on his waist, his hands covered with white gloves. A white frilled headband on his head, taming down his usually pointy ginger hair. On his left thigh was a black lace garter and to finish off the look, a pair of white boots for his feet.

You have no idea who talked him into wearing that costume, but you got to admit. He looks good in it.

Probably way better than you if ever you tried it on.

“Oh Tsutomu, (Y/n) hello” you both haven’t realized that he had spotted you standing there, mouths agape, looking like complete fools. “Want to come inside?”

He jab a thumb to the door of his classroom, propping the mini chalkboard on his hip as the two of you approach him.

“Uh… sure” he grins before showing you both a peek at the menu. Once confirming that you’re both okay with the food, he opens the door, as two more guys wearing the same outfit as he was greets you.

“Table for two” Kawanishi waved you both goodbye, as one of the two guys led you to your table near the window.

He gave you both a menu, leaving you two to decide on which item you want to order.

Goshiki leans over to you, bringing the menu up to his face as he whispers. “This is probably the weirdest café I’ve seen”

You silently nodded your head, examining the decorations they had put up. The café was following the Alice in Wonderland theme. It was nice however, the weird thing Goshiki was talking about was the reverse role each student was portraying.

The male students were wearing dresses and frills while the female students were wearing pants and dress shirts.

“But you agree with me that whoever came up with this concept is a genius right?”

Goshiki quickly says his reply as he puts the menu he’s holding on the table before relaying your orders to your assigned server. He wrote it down on his notepad he’s holding, taking the menu and going to the cooking area to give your orders to the people incharge of preparing the food.

“Goshiki-kun, (Y/n)-chan. I haven’t seen you two in a while” standing in front of your table was Higuchi Megumi, the senpai that Goshiki mentioned before that has a crush on Kawanishi.

“Higuchi-san” she gave you both a smile, before she lifted the polaroid camera dangling around her neck.

“Let me take a picture of you two” you and Goshiki straightened up, scooting your chair when she motioned with her hands for you two to get a little closer together. Then smiling at the camera as she presses the shutter button.

Pulling out the photo, she waved it around for a few times before the picture finally showed.

“You two look so cute together!” she gushes, staring at the picture before putting it on the table to show it to you. In the picture you and Goshiki were giving the camera shy smiles, you didn’t realize Goshiki had draped his arm over the back of your chair, leaning even closer to you. “Are you dating?”

Heat rises up to your cheeks as you let out a low laugh, your mind in a jumbled mess to give her a proper answer. Beside you Goshiki was equally embarrassed, the tips of his ears going red.

"N-no... No we're not... We're not..." Goshiki stutters, trying to form the right words to answer her question. "Higuchi-san!"

Higuchi laughs, before leaving you both and going to another table to take pictures of the new customers.

Goshiki clears his throat, to try and remove the awkward atmosphere that had somehow slipped into the air. You both started eating your food, the once comfortable vibe you two had were now coming back.

The foods were delicious, the pastry and the beverage that came along with it were a very good combination. You wonder if these were homemade or store bought, but nonetheless they taste good, the price you paid was worth it in the end.

After the meal, you both left the place and continued walking down the hallway. A lot had caught your eye, but you were looking for a certain classroom.

"Shirabu-san's class didn't use their classroom for their event?" you ask, as you read through the pamphlet once again. The both of you on your way to where the second year setter’s attraction were supposed to be located.

“A petting zoo?'' You and Goshiki read the signboard placed outside of the door. The cartoon pictures of different animals decorating the sign in big sizes to capture the attention of any passerby.

Peeking through the glass on the door, you could see students and outside visitors playing with the puppies and kittens running around the tiled floor. You got excited, the prospect of playing with these adorable furry friends makes you feel giddy.

Opening the door, you both paid for the fee and immediately started mingling with them. You found a German shepherd, lying peacefully at the side. Acknowledging his fellow canine and feline companions with a little bow of his head or a tilt to the side. Gratefully accepting the treats and headpats given to him.

You walk over to him, whilst Goshiki plays with a ginger colored dog. You sit down beside the big dog, as it watches you cross your legs and smile down at him.

You lift up your hand and run it from his head to his back. You felt it relax under your touch as you continued to rub your palm over his fur.

“Shima likes you” you look up to see Shirabu holding a tray of sandwiches.

“His name is Shima?” he nodded his head as he offered you a sandwich. “Is this for free?”

You took a bite of the sandwich as your other hand thoughtlessly continued to go up and down Shima’s body.

“That’s 500 yen” you stop chewing and nearly drop the sandwich in the process.

His lips formed into a smile as he flicked your forehead. “I’m just kidding” you let out a sigh as you took another bite of the food. “It’s actually 1,000 yen”

The chunk of chewed up bread and meat got caught in your throat, causing you to go into bouts of coughing. Hitting your chest with your fist repeatedly, Shima’s attention is now on you as he nuzzles your thigh with his nose.

Shirabu laughs as he stands up and walks to the makeshift counter they installed. “Your bill will be delivered later once you’re ready to leave.

“Shirabu-san, you’re not my favorite senpai anymore” he just waves his hand in dismissal, well aware that you were just lying.

You turn to look at Goshiki who was seated across you, holding a glass of smoothie. With the way his eyebrows were furrowed together and how he’s aggressively sipping on his drink, it was safe to say that Shirabu had also tricked him.

You chuckled, finishing your sandwich. Standing up you threw the tissue used to wrap the sandwich, and went back to hanging out with Shima.

The dog, as opposed to its size, was very calm, normally they'd be a bit aggressive or a little hyper. However with the amount of elegance he's displaying, you conclude that he had been trained properly.

"You're such a good boy" you cooed, beaming down at him as he continued nuzzling his head on your hand. Loving the affection you were giving him.

Shirabu walks over to you again, holding a tray filled with colorful drinks. Crouching down, he watches you bury your face on the dog's fur, baby noises coming out of your mouth.

"You're so weird" he commented, handing you a drink as you hesitantly accepted the glass. Narrowing your eyes at him in suspicion.

"How much is this?" you asks, ready to place the glass back to the tray in case it was another thousand yen out of your wallet

"You said that last time"

"Just drink the juice (Y/n) or I'll shove it down your throat" you pout, crunching up your nose as you sip on your drink.

Shirabu chuckles, before standing up. "It's a gift from one of the girls in the kitchen, a thank you for the picture or something like that"

You furrowed your eyebrows together, racking your brain for any memory of what he was talking about.

A picture? You've never given anyone a picture before, or any sort of image – wait.

Your eyes widened as you remembered that it was probably the picture of your senpais that you sold. The ones you've kept and continued printing as many of their fans still approach you to this day to buy them.

A bit questionable for a high schooler, but a person's gotta make a living right?

Where else will you get the money to buy your favorite games?

"All done (Y/n)-chan?" Goshiki crouches down beside you, placing a little black and white kitten on the floor. Who immediately went over to Shima's side and started headbutting his leg.

"I'm done" you stood up, waving at Shima and the little kitten goodbye. You paid your bill and walked out of the room, the both of you deciding that it was best to return to your dorm room for the time being to get some rest, before attending the third years play in the evening.

"Sooo, what do you think?" Tendou twirls, showing you a 360 view of his costume. The other four stood beside him as they posed for the camera Kawanishi was holding.

"You all look good though but…" you trailed, slowly turning your eyes towards Semi who was fanning himself. One hand on his hip as he waits for you to finish what you were going to say. "...Semi-san why are you in a dress?"

Semi sighs as he snaps the fan close, rubbing his temples. "Trust me (Y/n), even I don't know"

"Hayato was supposed to be the one wearing it but it was too big, and Eita was the only one who could fit in it" Reon chuckled, as Semi smacked Tendou's hand who had started playing with his curled wig.

"Don't be too bummed out Eita, you look beautiful" Yamagata grinned, patting Semi on the back as the setter wacks him with the fan he's holding.

"Ushijima-san looks cool too"

You turn to look at Ushijima as Goshiko and Shirabu examine his costume with great interest. The armor he's wearing perfectly complementing his buff physique, making him look more like a Prince instead of a Knight.

"Prepare yourselves everyone, the show's about to start" one of the girls announced as the four of you walked out of the changing room to go back to your seats. Wishing them good luck for a successful performance.

Settling in your seats, the lights deemed down as the play starts.

"That was embarrassing" Semi grumbles, kneeling on the floor inside the changing room as he stares at the ground in dread. Kawanishi and Tendou's laugh could be heard from the back as they watched the videos the second year recorded.

The play ended up being a major success that somehow the crowd had wanted an encore, however there wasn't much time left so it had to improvise.

Apparently, Semi was very convincing as a girl because everyone started chanting for him and Ushijima to kiss. A sort of reward for how the knight saved the princess.

They really can't do anything about it so they complied, thankfully Ushijima was quite cunning. To save them both from any more embarrassment, he took hold of his waist, dipped him, and moved his face close enough to make it look like they were kissing.

"It's okay Semi-san, at least the show ended well" you tried comforting your devastated senior as he started talking to himself.

You let out a nervous laugh as you don't know what the hell happened to him, he sounds like a broken doll and somehow it was creeping you out.

"Let's go guys, time to get change" they followed after their classmate, as they dragged Semi along with them.

All four of you watched as the door slammed shut before taking out your phones, and started trading pictures and videos from the performance a while ago and some other shenanigans inside the dressing room.

Because as much as you love your senpais, you were not going to pass up an opportunity to get a copy of the Ushijima Wakatoshi slipping on a banana peel.
